-_- So I slipped, tripped, and got stabbed in the arm by a stupid fence. Went to the hospital for what shouldn't have been more than a day for stitches - wound up being confined to my bed for weeks and weeks because I contracted a staph infection. What'd I miss. EDIT: Boop. All caught up. @ Lor: Loved your get up and move post - though, I honestly thought you guys would have blown right past me and left me in the dust. I'm in, as much as you guys will have me / let me. I'll admit though, when life gets me down, particularly in the sickness realm, I'm not exactly the poster child for letting people know about upcoming lack of posting. That's not an excuse; as Fel said, when it comes to excuses, everyone has a mass of them, and that includes me as well . We kept in touch really well on FB, but then FB decided to delete my profile because of the fake name and such. However, for the sake of communication, I'd be willing to share one of my personal E-mail addresses for the sake of keeping up with the crew. That would solve a lot, actually, as I could keep up with it on my phone. If that doesn't work, well, I can look into reviving my FB again for the sake of communication. @ Fel: I. Love. DECKPLANS. They look awesome, but I share the same reservations as Wade (claps hands with his fellow ex-science councilor) about the 26 meter issue. Easily solved though with a few tweaks and such. I also liked what you said about excuses. Are you able to make deck plans for other ships? I've never really looked into how to get involved in such a thing. (Because, as Wade knows, the last thing Dante's writer needs is a deck plan maker to go along with all his technological ideas). @ Liya & Jace: Yeah. I know what you mean about your mojo failing. I had a huge post getting worked up myself before illness got me down, and now I can barely look at it. Do we still have the same plan to finish as before? Casino bit, your important bit, and then the rushed /prewritten ending? Because, if so, I'll make a deal with you. If you post, I'll post - this month, you and me, slaying the dragon with nothing but a keyboard. I'm talking everyday posting. We got to get our momentum back, and maybe throwing ourselves into it with all that we've got is what we need. Whadya say? |

Hey Dante. It's really very good to hear from you. I wasn't sure if we'd get you back. You haven't missed much... biggest plot development would be Wade's discovery / rescue.
In other news, that SUX about your leg! I hope you're on the mend now. I haven't been the most active HC in the last couple of months, either. Lamenting it won't help, but I simply haven't got time to keep up with every little thing on the site (though truth be told, the RP Advisors haven't had many requests for help.) So, I come in, I post, I say hi on chat... that's insufficient, I know, but right now, posting and being a presence here is most important. It's what we need.
So yeah. Let's throw ourselves into this, top-to-toe. I'm waiting on Wade, but I'm checking in four or five times a day, so I'm never far away.

p.s. -- re. deck plans... I COULD do more, for other ships, but the UA is a labor of love. What I posted up was all me and the Microsoft Paint program. Not even Photoshop. PAINT!!!
So yeah, I could delve into others, but it would be a crazy-slow process. Thing about the UA is, I don't agree with the Colonialchrome version (too damn small) and this one (in hindsight) is too big. Back to the drawing board.

@ Fel: Woah. PAINT? Good grief, there's not like, a program for it or anything O,o. I get the whole labor of love thing now. And I'm sure what your doing is enough Fel - high councilors always have a reputation for being flighty to begin with, lol.
@ Liya: Sweet! Lets try to get it knocked out of the park by, say, the 25th? Christmas and such? Ideally I'd like the prewritten part to take no more than a post from each of us. Bespin is really the only hang up in my mind, what with your RP bit and my trying to figure out Dante's mindset / psychological state.
Which, consequently, reminds me that I was going to change my last post. I may or may not redact my post before you put down your next one, I don't know, but it shouldn't mess up anything you write.

Be like Neo. Stop planning to do it and do it. Don't get it in your head that you'll do it then, because then will get here and you won't be ready.
You need to get it set in your head HOW you're going to do it (or not and just wing it), then sit down when you can without planning and go for it.
Or that works for me at least. Most of the time...
