I just send a massive PM to Jace, so this will be short. If you want all the details, Jesse can fill you in.
I'm tired of waiting. I am not your father, I cannot scold you into posting, like it's homework time. There's time to chat on FB at 3 am, but not to post. Well, I'm calling bullshit on that. I know everyone's busy - school, a job... well, you make your choices, either to be here (whether herre is RPGuild or JvS) or not. And I am t-i-r-e-d of waiting. I refuse to goad you into posting. I am so sick of PM'ing Lor or anyone else, nudging them into making an appearance. Forget it.
I have other alts who are more active than my MAIN! That's crazy. I've tried to fill the time until you all decide where you are, and what you're doing. I joined the GBA. I started writing a Jedi PC who I actually LIKE. So I've tried, really I have. But you all need a kick in the ass.
So I'm taking Fel in another direction. The Imperial Remnant is going to catch up to Fel, and drag him back to jail. That's what Erin Darkwell is doing on the 'Run. Maybe, just maybe this is the kick you need to get active again. Maybe it's just time to close up shop.
Honestly, for the first time, I just don't care anymore. You guys are your own boss. I run a pretty loose ship anyways -- no point in ruling with an iron hand. But I refuse to chase you anymore. If I did, I run the risk of becoming the 35-year-old killjoy.
You either post, or you don't.
You want another SL to give it one more try? Fine, I'm down. But if we need to walk away for awhile, I'm fine with that, too.
Fel will be here. The UA will be here, when there's a crew that wants to do something.

Fel, Oz's post is up if you want to reply. I left it open for you to do pretty much whatever you want with wrench.
That said, me and Lor were texting this over and we think that maybe this crew NEEDS a break. We've gotten... stale. And complacent. And kinda used to each other. It's been said that variety is the spice of life, so maybe what we all need is a bit of variety out on our own (or in groups of two if you so choose), then if we still want to bring the crew back together after a while we can make that happen.
As for why, I figured that once Fel gets taken, Jace can go off to run his info organization and look for leads about where Fel might be, while the Ghomez's are called back to the ageless for some emergency or another, and Malora goes off by herself to find Wade. Not sure where Liya would go, but since her allegiance seems to be to Fel himself more than the rest of the crew, maybe she'd go with Jace. Or look into finding her own leads. Dante and the Doc would probably need to find a new crew to employ, while Faith, Sky, and Keeruhk would return to coruscant. Seros and Kaali were planning on going it alone for a bit anyway, so they can just continue on as before (if Jerry comes back to write).
P.S. Any and all credit/blame for this idea is to be directed at Lor, as she so courteously pointed out in the FB convo (even though I thought of it first).

Dante being...ill...will probably stick with familiar territory until he sorts out his new condition. That said, he'll probably stay as close to Jace as possible. Not sure how interested he'd be in giving aid to finding Fel, but, there you have it.

Sounds good to me. Dante and I will run off and cause trouble, and Jace will have his PMC trade their services for possible leads on Fel.
Besides, how would the crew cause trouble to all the factions and groups out there? Split up of course! Divide, and conquer.

No Fel, we weren't looking for a way out. We didn't even think of this idea until after you made your own plans. But the entire crew has demonstrated that we can't keep up the momentum we had right now, so maybe it's time for a change and you were just the first to put a voice to that sentiment. Maybe stale and complacent and used to each other aren't the right words, but it does feel like we've taken each other for granted. Like family that you don't really appreciate until you don't have them anymore. Maybe the reason we post so infrequently is because we know the crew will always be here when we do, so maybe we need to just back up and learn not to take each other for granted. I dont't WANT to break the crew up, but I do think it might be what we need right now.

THAT, I agree with... however, just so that we completely understand each other... I didn't make my own plans until the family... 'started to take each other for granted.'
I don't want us to break up either, but I don't see any other way.
That said -- I would like to know this:
Is Malora even going to RP anymore?
Is Jerry going to continue RP'ing?
Calanon / Wade / Oz -- I've seen you around a lot, but I haven't seen any posts recently, aside from the recent one involving Wrench.
I know Liya and Jace will continue to write.
What I want to know is -- is the core of my group disappearing, due to other life commitments and interests? If so, no big deal -- but be straight with me.

Yeah, I'll still be RPing. When things calm down here. My own absence is due completely to life commitments, not loss of interest. Today and yesterday were probably the first time I've been able to touch a computer in months. I have my phone (which is where I make the occasional 3am conversation post in our FB thread because hey, you guys are my friends, not just my writing partners, and a little fun conversation outside RP at god awful hours of the morning is nice every once in a while), but there is no way I am making a decent post on that.
Jerry I have not heard from in a very long time. He quit FB and is doing his own thing, so I have no idea what he's doing about RP.
Wade is basically waiting on everyone else, so. And Liya has been wickedly busy, as has Jace.
We do our own thing, and get back together later on. I'll go get Wade's tortured ass and gather everyone afterwards (once their own stories are done and once I can actually post on a consistent basis), and then we can all go get Fel, unless Fel has other plans or wants to be 'gotten' earlier. Was gonna spring him first, but after reading this thread, I changed my mind. Oz, I'm taking you with halfway and then you're on your own, and Mack, if you are still reading this, same deal.

I've been sort of stuck ever since I split off to go to Skip One. That storyline needed to happen quickly, and be done. When the site crashed, it just killed it for me. There just isn't enough in it for Liya personally to inspire my creativity, so I'm having a lot of trouble getting it restarted. It's proving a lot harder than responding to a few chat messages. I think I now know what to write, and I'm going to make every effort to do it tonight. Beyond that, who knows? I have some ideas of my own (Dante knows this) and I'm still eager to write them with whoever is left. I just need to push past the current stale scenario and get back to the Independence.

I just typed another long response, and it got eaten. Suffice it to say, I have unfinished business with Oz about the encrypted datacard. After that, Liya is going to be torn between trying to find Fel, and trying to finish Dante's job, which will have just gotten personal.

I also want to apologize, I really had no time at all to write during the last month+ of the school semester, and I should have anticipated that better and written myself out of the story for the time being. I tend to think I can have everything I want, when I really can't.

Liya would be reluctant, but with Fel missing, she'd do it. She'll need the money, and she'll know Fel would want them to finish the job. She'll spend a lot of time trying to probe your secrets, though, and at times she'll be distracted by trying to find Fel and/or worrying about other members of the crew -- and being upset at herself for forming those attachments. Also, I think there's some good potential for interaction between Daniel and Liya. To Daniel, she's undoubtedly viewed as just another hired thug, but she's actually one of the only other people around with an academic background. |

Seeing as how the Job and the datacard are so linked, it would only be natural that Liya signs up - Jace would probably come along out of obligation to his friend, as well as to watch over his fellow crew member...I know if he were smart he wouldn't trust me to stab you in the back. Secret probing is fine - in fact, I encourage it on both you and Jace's part...there's a LOT more going on than a simple artifact hunt. As for being distracted, no doubt Jace will be concerned, and Dante amused. As far as a SHIP, this might be the perfect time to address my need for an expanded lab...the impromptu affair I have set up in the crate is passable, but for the sake of the job SL, I need something...bigger. Much bigger. That said, it just so happens I have a REALLY old Space Master transport left over from some project or another (the TU days Jace, that old)...if it isn't minded, id be rather thrilled if we could use that; it's been modified, so taking a small ship or two with us shouldn't be a problem. |

You guys can use the Red Cred, along with the Bronze Star. Karana and Oz (and Mack if he's still around) can take the UA, while the ageless keep their own ship. Seros and Kaali have Kaali's ship, and Sky, Faith, and Keeruhk can barter for passage back to coruscant.
