I know it wasn't about me per sè. I saw the whole Facebook thing. That doesn't mean the situation doesn't bother me. It does. We seem to have a bit of a communication problem among some members of the crew. Hopefully we're all on the same page now?
And I encouraged Lor to post at the Sithies as Karana, hoping it would help her (and all of us) break off some rust. So if you want to complain about her posting there and not elsewhere, blame me. ^_^

(In reference to the Bespin SL)
Kayyy...after long deliberation, I've decided to restore Dante's force sensitivity rather than make it permanent. I would have gone non force, but Dante's psyche just wouldn't let him stay like that...he'd improve himself with cybernetics, or something else, and lose his "humanity" in the process. Thing with Dante, is that he has his normal powers, and then his locked restricted powers that Arcturus put mental blocks around early in his training. To bring those down, requires some significant energy...
SO. Jace, Seros, Liya, Daniel...how do you feel about doing a little walkabout in Dante's head? Probably meet Arcturus, and give you a legit chance to learn some details of what exactly is going on.

Liya has an aversion to force users, brought on by her friendship with the Followers of Palawa, so I like where this is going. It's a nice chance for internal conflict. What do you have in mind?

Well, Dante was Arcturus' favored student because he was an immensely powerful telepath - a kind of hypersensitivity that was brought about by witnessing the death of his species through the force. Arcturus trained Dante in the mental arts - as was Arcturus' specialty, as a Fallanassi - but eventually sealed the powers, memories, and even part of Dante's force connection away when Dante's inability to overcome his anger became blatantly clear. He embedded a sliver of his (Arcturus') own personality into Dante's psyche, to constantly keep Dante from consciously or subconsciously accessing that section of his life.
With the powers and memory sealed away, Arcturus sent Dante away to learn the martial arts of the Matukai (in a hope Dante would find inner spiritual peace) from a colleague of his. It was Arcturus' intention to release the power once Dante had come to terms with his past. That, of course, never came. Xanathane, knowing of this block, will know that the only way for Dante to regain his sensitivity is to release the block, and allow access to those forgotten times, as well as to the greater reservoir of force power that lies dormant within him. Arcturus was an Omwati though, his force of will and ability to resist mental coercion was incredible - even a sliver of his will shall require multiple minds working in harmony.
So, the idea is that Xanathane will request a group mind effort to try and break Arcturus' hold on Dante. To Jace, this could be an opportunity to help a friend, and perhaps see an old mentor. For Seros, an potential opportunity to learn more about just WHY the aerosol gas was so effective. For Liya, an opportunity to learn the true and full schemes of their mysterious employer. And for Daniel...well, it would be an opportunity, perhaps, to learn some specifics about the artifact from Arcturus.

Very nice.
How would Liya (or Daniel, for that matter) be able to contribute, since they lack force sensitivity?

Primarily they would be there for the force users to draw on mentally - force batteries if you will. While not force sensitive, their life energies can serve to bolster the attack on Arcturus. As all participants are light side - or close enough - there shouldn't be any inherent risk of sucking you guys dry. If anything, the greatest side effects will be extreme fatigue and tiredness.

I see. Won't being an Epicanthix make that a lot harder? Or is that irrelevant since it's not my mind you're trying to break into?
This should be good. I can't imagine Liya going along with anything like this. She doesn't trust Force users that far --- at least not yet.
As far as our timeline once we arrive on Bespin is concerned, I had been imagining that Dante, Jace, and Daniel would go meet with Xanthane, and that Seros and I would go and meet with my bounty hunting contact. And maybe we still can do that, so that we knock out those initial tasks, and then you can call us in to help with the more difficult project (fixing Dante). But we need to work out all the timing on this.
Liya will want someone to come with her as backup because she's not sure exactly whether she is still welcome at the Bounty League or not, and Seros is the most logical choice. Dante and Daniel have specific business with Xanthane (or his library), and Jace will want to accompany his friend (not to mention being the Fel Crew's representative). Also, Liya does not want Dante to know the specifics of her previous activities just yet, and I imagine that keeping Dante and Seros separated short term might ease some of the tensions from the meeting in the bridge. Seros, on the other hand, is not connected with Dante, so Liya would be more likely to entrust him with knowledge of her "plan B" ... and Seros would probably welcome an excuse to avoid visiting an established order of Jedi.
But if any of those conclusions are wrong, I'm open to other suggestions.

Hypothetically, sense we're not trying to break into your mind, and if you go willingly, a link using four force users should be able to overcome your genetic defenses. It's by no means ideal, buuut...well, you work with what you've got. The connection will be weaker, but some benefit should come of it. The main dreamscape will also be provided by Arcturus' splinter consciousness - thus utilizing the white current rather than the mainstream force...personally, I have no idea how a white current power would work on genetic defenses, but I'm willing to bet that they would bypass it entirely; as the white current operates on an entirely different level illusion wise from the force.
I'm not sure how I'm going to write Dante as agreeing to this. Letting others into his mind is...not a good thing to him.
Actually, all those conclusions are logical - and something I was assuming as well. Ideally, this new part would take place AFTER our errands, but before the main assault on the compound. So, I think the timeline is sound.

Ideally, this new part would take place AFTER our errands, but before the main assault on the compound. So, I think the timeline is sound. So 1) Split up and visit Xanthane / the Bounty League 2) Rescue Kim Zawadi (and grab a Syndicate agent or two for information) 3) Revive Dante's force powers 4) Assault on the Syndicate compound ? Some of the surprised I have planned in the aftermath of the rescue mission will give the rest of you a chance to earn more of Liya's trust. Some things from her past are going to come up. And you might be able to demonstrate the existence and value of the Force along the way, too. She especially doesn't believe in the mind control side of it (since it doesn't work on her).

I'm not sure how I'm going to write Dante as agreeing to this. Letting others into his mind is...not a good thing to him. Looks over his shoulder after filling up a syringe with sedatives.Oh... I mean, I guess we could do it while you are conscious.

... -_- Ha. Ha. Ha.
How much should I NOT divulge about Jace anyway? If we're doing a mindform thing, I'm sure memories from Serenno and the olden days are gonna crop up. Should I be vague? Completely leave you out? Have you like, in the background, working as a repairman?

If only Wade was there... He's a non-force telepath now, so he'd be a good way to get past Liya's genetics.
In other news, I really miss writing with you guys. Like, a lot. This is like the eighty-sixth time I've wished Wade hadn't been killed and taken. But he was so this is how it is... *sigh*

I mean, as long as they don't see Jace using Force-powers or acting like a Force-user (in battle, subterfuge, interrogation, etc.). Or anything that would hint to his current position as the actual leader of his PMC, rather than Mik'ro. But other than that, I can't think of anything else.

@ Jace: Mk, I've got you down for some battle flash backs to the Serenno civil war, some intelligence stuff working with Dante for the government, and a few references by Arcturus as belonging to the family, but other than that I can cut out the force use and such.
@ Wade: Dude...miraculously come back. It'll be like, six years before we get you lol

Lol. As much as I would absolutely love to do that, if the story behind it doesn't have continuity it's going to royally screw him up in my head and make him really difficult to write. I've also got this RP outlined with Karana for his back-coming, and I really don't want to just skip the whole thing. I think she needs to be the one to find him.

Think you guys could use an amnesiac manic force-using Mando executioner for any reason? i.e. to fight, rescue Galdaart, etc,etc....?

Hey Dante, do you remember what Creed's relation to Arcturus was?

ADDENDUM: Kay, seems I misread my post as Arcturus sixty gazillion years ago - I ERASED Dante's powers, not blocked them. Though I did block his ability to access his greater force reservoir, as well as many memories. So, when we do this thing, Dante will probably come back as a Matukai. Just a heads up.
@ Wade: ooh, the Creeds. been a long time since I RPed as one. Viktor Creed was one of the Creeds, Lucius Creed as well. The Creeds are one of the few adopted "families" that constitute the Sorrows family. The Vraights, whom you've never RPed as, are part of this group, as well as the Elhart's, the Malice's, and a few others. I recall you RPed as a Creed, brother to Lucius, or was it cousin? It would make you Dante and Jace's cousin, and Arcturus' nephew.
