Feigning sadness when Elika told her that she would only let one verbal side slipping only, Lana pouted faintly although her gaze said differently, she was definitely amused but just an emphasis on negotiation and compromise, Lana playfully replied. "At least give me two other change on verbal side slipping, my Shakal, and consider this one as one of those, please?" Winking playfully, even her tone sounded playful and teasing, in the deep of her mind, she knew that at least she would need two extra jokers, perhaps, although she didn't necessarily think she would need those, as quite honestly, she guessed she would have to cover her basis the correct way in order for this to work, and in order for the truth not come to light any time soon at least.
But pushing her trivial thoughts aside right now, as she placed her napkin on her lap, at least rearranged it correctly, Lana attentively listened to what Elika was telling her, and there was that one part that had caught her attention, particularly the back home best friend. There was something there, plus Elika's perplexed expression there, and the slightly blanking out for a moment, that caused Lana to look at Elika with a concerned expression. "Are you alright?" Lana asked softly, as she gave Elika's hand a reassuring squeeze.
Though perhaps Elika might not be willing to talk about it just yet, at least not right now, which was why Lana smiled soon after and nodded as that question, which could be considered answered, had been addressed. "At least you do have good friends here, and I am guessing it feels like home too?" Lana rhetorically said with a knowing smile, after all from the interactions that everyone had seemed to be having during the pool party there was no denying that each and everyone of them were good friends to have.
"I have a question, that has been ingrained on my brain, and I really need to know, my Shakal," Lana began to say with a faint laugh, before looking at her dish, although she didn't start to eat just yet, and she just returned her attention onto Elika. "If I were to ask you, what you despised the most about the dating process, what would that or those be? Just so I can avoid doing exactly that." Lana said softly before rolling her eyes and shaking her head still in disbelief that she did ask that question, which was a little awkward she guessed, at least in her honest opinion.

Riddle. Check in.
Madieke had been hoping that the Hutt would be able to offer her something more specific, but supposes that a riddle is better than nothing. Something about the riddle strikes a chord in her memory, but there is too much going on for Madieke to do more than recognize that she may have read or heard some or all of the the elements involved in the riddle recently, leaving her with the frustrating feeling of recognizing a pattern without being able to place it, or seeing puzzle pieces that clearly fit together without being able to arrange them in the correct way. The combination of excitement in feeling as though she has finally been given a real clue to follow not requiring that she trust someone's instincts rather than something concrete, however, is accompanied by a sense of disquiet brought on not only by Madieke's observation of the silent exchange between the Umgul PD detectives, but also her own vague sense that something bad is about to happen.
Suddenly wanting to cut things with the Hutt short so that she can check in with the surveillance team watching the club, Madieke conceals her distraction by keeping her tone as curt as usual as she tells Strilath, "Thank you for sharing that, and then glances towards Nazani and Nemes to ask, Anything you two would like to ask the mighty Strilath?"

13th Precinct
After having arrested all of the troubledoers in the Raceways, the three officers outfitted each individuals with Force suppression cuffs, but to be in the safer side. There was no way that Loya, Astrid, or even Eryk could have known that the Non siblings, Orion Hunter, Bane, or Olivia Styles were Force sensitives but rules were rules, and until someone from the Order came here to say it wasn’t so, then this was how it was going to be.
The three officers made sure to relieve the people from their weapons and their IDs if they had any, and just placed them into a common cell while they checked the paperwork and check everyone’s identity.
Valaras was rubbing his temple and took a deep breath knowing that this wasn’t going to end well at all. Turning to look at his sister who was leaning against the wall completely unfazed by what was going on, but deep down, she was fuming, although she was certain that it had been enough to keep up the appearances with the raceways gang there. Always that pfassk the ire of all troubles, she hoped that the dimwit stayed for a long time at the hospital, which would teach him a lesson.
“He is not going to like this once he finds out.” Xyrias said to her brother and just shook her head, her CO was already dealing with a lot of things, with everything that had been going on this planet, this really was the last thing he needed.
“I know, Xyrias. But none of us were at fault here, except…” Looking over the one who had just started to walk away, after hitting Qatut, Valaras nodded in his direction. “Him, and the one who might be in thousands kind of pain.”
“He deserved it.”
“I know, but X’jan might not feel the same as you think.” X’jan, the head honcho of the raceways gang there, that he and his sister were tasked to do something with.
“So what now?”
“Now, we just wait, might as well come up with a story too, in case we do get out of here quickly and they ask questions."
“Joy…” Xyrias said with a sarcastic tone and just slid down against the wall to sit down on the ground.

Resting her chin in her hand, index finger extended to tap alongside her cheek as she adopts an exaggerated expression of intent thought after Delaana asks to be given more free passes on verbal side-stepping, Elikapeka playfully pretends to weigh the pros and cons of granting the request for a moment before smiling coyly as she says, "Alright my Ceesi, but only because you're so irresistible."
Nodding with what is intended to be a convincingly breezy smile despite the fact that the mental defenses within her mind have already wiped her momentary puzzled disorientation from her memory when Delaana asks if she is alright, Elika feels relieved when the next question posed is one that she can answer, "Oh, absolutely. Pausing a moment before continuing, debating whether or not what she is trying to convey is worth the risk of dampening the mood, Elika says, In some ways, actually, Umgul is more home to me now than Naboo. My parents were really the last ties I had to Naboo. Other than history I mean. You know that saying about how some families are the ones you are born into, and others you kind of choose for yourself, or find as you go through life? Crystal, Lil', Andros, and, she glances towards Franz briefly as she continues, the others from the Mist Order are like that for me; the family I was lucky enough to find and be welcomed into. Realizing that she is probably sounding cheesy, Elika crinkles her nose and concludes, Anyway, as sappy as that may sound, Umgul definitely feels like my home, my Ceesi."
Laughing when Delaana asks about things she might want to avoid during the dating process, Elika waves a hand dismissively, "Oh, I really can't think of anything you could do that would bother me. Irresistible, remember? she asks with a mischievous wink, and then pretends to look worried as she jokes, Don't try and take advantage of that, alright please? Picking up her knife and fork, Elika pushes her food around on her plate as she purses her lips in thought, pausing briefly before continuing, Most of the things that I find irritating about dating are internal, really. Laughing, Elika crinkles her nose and explains, Like, I take soooo much time deciding what to wear before a date. Too much time, Elika adds, before gesturing vaguely to her right with her knife, That, and then I worry too much about what I said or did after a date; over analyze things and usually, she laughs self deprecatingly in an effort to downplay the anxiety she truly feels, wind up thinking that I made a complete and utter fool of myself."
As much to further suggest that she does not stress over things as much as her comment might suggest as to learn more of Delaana herself, Elika asks, "What about you my Ceesi? What is your least favorite part of the exciting world of dating?"
Strilath the Hutt's Club - Inside
Nemes, sounding somewhat distracted as he is both not in the mood for any more of the Hutt's frustrating word games, and has not yet shaken off the odd, foundationless feeling that something is amiss, or about to happen, shakes his head and says, "I think we have all we need," and glances towards his fellow detective to see if she has anything further to ask of the Hutt.
Nazani, watching the Klatoonian that received a comm earlier to try and gauge how concerned he appears about what he was told, shakes her head, saying, "I'm good."
Strilath the Hutt's Club - Rooftop
Anila, looking as surprised as the Rodian she has slain when her attack succeeds every bit as well as she had hoped, is not so surprised that she fails to observe that the fallen Aqualish is reaching for the blaster he had dropped earlier. Knowing that, unlike a true bladed weapon, she has no need to withdraw it from the Rodian's chest in order to renew her assault, Anila simply swings her arm out to her right so that it slices through the Rodian's torso. Continuing the motion smoothly, the Clawdite assassin disguised as Andros Vyridian tilts her wrist downwards and lunges to attempt to stab the Aqualish at the base of the skull so that its brainstem is pierced. . .

Strilath's Chiss interpreter watches Madieke's interaction with the UPD detectives closely, interpreting the remarks of all parties involved for the Hutt in a quiet undertone, translating the conversation directed at Strialth and the conversation between the Sector Ranger and detectives alike. An faint amused smile is evident on the Chiss' face as she translates the Hutt's response when the detectives indicate that they have no further questions, her tone remaining cool and professional even though Strilath's deep, full bodied belly laughter while speaking to the visiting law enforcement personnel suggests that his untranslated remarks were not quite as professional. "The mighty Strilath is pleased to have been of assistance, and invites you all to stay and enjoy his hospitality if you would like. Enjoy some drinks, relax, and unwind before you continue your quest for justice with the mighty and benevolent Strilath's blessings."
On the rooftop, the Aqualish feels a brief flicker of hope as his fingers curl around the grip of his blaster. The hope fades from the Aqualish's eyes, along with the life in them, however, when the lightsbaer penetrates his head and destroys his brain.
As the Aqualish slumps lifelessly to the floor, the Nikto monitoring the security camera feeds narrows his eyes when he thinks he sees a brief, bright flickering of red light on the screen showing the door leading onto the roof. Knowing the potential consequences of failing to act on a potential sign of intrusion, the Nikto contacts a pair of Farghul guards to have them check the roof for any hint of trouble . . .

Riddles. Wary. Heads or tails.
So far as Madieke is concerned, the meeting with the Hutt was over as soon as she understood that all they were going to get from him were riddles and smug selif aggrandizement. Leaving Nazani and her partner to make their own exits, Madieke meets Nuala's eyes and then nods her head towards the stairs leading back down to the main floor of the club to signal that she is ready to leave.
As she begins descending towards the main floor, Madieke takes her comlink out and contacts the surveillance team watching the club to find out if they have observed anything hinky which might explain the way that Strilath's guards seemed to become more alert and wary at one point.
Following Madieke at a slow pace that persists until she can guess from what the Chiss interprets that nothing else useful is going to be shared, Nuala catches up with Madieke after a moment, asking, "Can you make heads or tails of . . ."
"Not yet, Madieke answers before Nuala can finish asking whether or not the riddle made any sense to her, frowning as she adds, Something's there though. I can feel it."

Strilath the Hutt's Club - Rooftop
Anila deactivates her lightsaber after the Aqualish has been slain, taking a deep breath to steady herself as the humming of the weapon is replaced with silence. Knowing that the scuffle with the guards, brief as it proved to be, will almost certainly adversely affect her plans, Anila does not linger long, moving towards her next objective purposefully. Though she is not a Force sensitive as Umgul's Vice Governor, who's face and form the Clawdite has assumed for the assassination of the Hutt, is, Anila can use technology to replicate some of the abilities he possesses to an extent; for example, the portable life-form scanner she unclips from her belt enables her to see that there are two life-forms making their way towards her position.
Muttering a curse under her breath, Anila increases her pace to reach the room she is bound for before the approaching life-forms do. Slipping into the room, located directly over the balcony of the club where the Hutt makes his nightly appearances, Anila watches as the life-forms pass the room, and only when they have gone away enough that she is reasonably certain they will not hear the next step in her plan as it is enacted, does she use her scanner to find the precise spot on the floor she requires, the spot directly over the back of the Hutt's dais.
Rolling her neck from side to side as she stands on the spot she has chosen, Anila adopts Andros Vyridian's signature contemptuous sneer and activates the red hued lightsaber she wields. Spinning in a circle, Anila uses the lightsaber to slice through the floor, dropping down as the spin is completed to make a dramatic, ideally distracting entrance. Lifting the lightsaber overhead in her left hand as she begins to drop, Anila stretches her right arm out and aims a repulsor blast towards the Chiss interpreter beside Strilath so that it appears the Chiss was Force pushed away. As her fall takes her to behind Strilath's head, Anila times a downward swing of the lightsaber to cleave the Hutt's head in two as she completes her drop to the floor . . .

Strilath the Hutt survives the initial attack from the shapeshifting assassin due to the quick thinking and action of his twin Echani bodyguards. When the shapeshifter begins cutting an opening in the ceiling the noise alerts the Echani twins who appear to be simple slave dancers, and both rapidly spring into action before Strilath and the rest of his entourage have so much as even registered the noise of the lightsaber as it cuts the hole the shapeshifter drops through.
The twin on Strilath's left moves quickly to place herself between Strilath and the probable threat, executing a backflip to move from the front of Strilath's dais to the back. As the backflip is in progress, with her head below and legs above, the twin sees the shapeshifter descending while swinging a lightsaber downward, and attempts to thwart the attack by pivoting her hips to aim a kick for the attacker's wrist to halt the blow in progress.
The Echani twin on Strilath's right has a less dynamic response to the attack than her sister, turning and hammering a fist down on the repulsorlift control panel for the dais so that it and the Hutt sitting upon it moves forward and away from the attack so that, even should her twin's counter attack fail, Strilath's head moves forward enough that the lightsaber will at worst slice down his back rather than bisect his skull.
The Chiss interpreter, not quite as quick to react as as the Echhani twins, is in the process of drawing her blaster as the repulsor blast the shapeshifter fires sends her sailing backwards to crash into the wall. The Klatoonian guards, two on either side of Strilath's dais, are the last to recognize that an attack is underway, all drawing their weapons while moving from the front of the dais to the back to engage the attacker only after the attack on the Chiss interpreter alerts them to the danger to Strilath.
The music in the club masks most of the noise of the opening moments of the assassination attempt, but several patrons on the main floor who had been watching the meeting between Strilath and the law enforcement posse witness what appears to be Umgul's Vice Governor dropping down and launching an attack on the Hutt. Alerted to what is going on by the gasps and pointing of the patrons who had been watching Strilath, other revelers in the club are soon either beginning to scramble for exits in a panic, gaping in awe, or in a few instances reaching for datapads to film the action.

Strilath the Hutt's Club
UPD Detective Connal Nemes, a gangly male Rodian, freezes up initially when the Clawdite impersonating Andros drops through the ceiling. "Oh sh . . ." Nemes hisses after his brain kicks back in, fumbling for the blaster in his shoulder holster as he sees his partner already moving towards Strilath with her blaster already drawn and held out in a two-handed grip.
"Hold your fire! Hold your fire! UPD Detective Nazani Pakchoian, a curvy Lorrdian with a mane of dark curls who is often quicker on the draw - in all meanings of the term - than her partner, yells out to try and keep Strilath's guards from blasting the assassin, along with any knowledge he or she has about whomever is behind the plot to frame Umgul's Vice Governor for the recent string of murders that have been carried out by someone or something capable of assuming his form, away. Freeze!! UPD!!" Nazani shouts as, thumbing a switch on the handle of her blaster to change it to the stun setting, she moves quickly to the side of Strilath's throne to try and get a drop on the assassin.
Anila, unable to react quickly enough to the Echani's surprisingly swift response to her opening attack and only dimly aware of the movements of the other players in the game as her focus is, at present, entirely on successfully slaying the Hutt, feels her hand go numb when the kick the Echani delivers lands, nearly dropping her lightsaber as she quickly adjusts to the turn of events by swinging her arm out and down to the side and away from the Echani's leg, and then brings the arm back in and up and out to try and cut the Echani in half at the waist as she lands, hoping to continue the motion of her arm so that the red hued blade pierces deep into the Hutt's side. . .

Bane offered no resistance as the Police had cuffed him, complying with their directions. Liv was quite correct to state that Ice was going to be pissed. She had given them one job to do, and they'd landed themselves in jail. If he was honest, it wasn't the worst situation they'd been put in, or even caught in. He smirked at that thought, remembering the time they'd been arrested for brawling in a nudist colony meeting. The look on that officer's face had been priceless when she saw him. But no such good memories could be taken away from this particular encounter. At least not yet anyway. He sat down against the wall opposite the two siblings that had been arrested alongside he and Liv at the raceway, before motioning for Liv to join him. He then removed his mask and placed it in his lap "I wonder how long we'll be in this bind for... I'm sure she'll smooth it over. Besides, It's not like it was really our fault... this time anyway..."

Liv had felt a few moments of discomfort when the Force suppression cuffs were clamped around her wrists at the raceways but she stamped the feeling down by focusing on things that didn't require the Force - like the fact that she should've just let Bane beat the shizzit out of the arrogant Zabrak. Hell they were already in trouble, they should've at least made it worth it. Too bad the jaywalker took all the fun out of the well deserved beatdown when he hit the Zabrak with the speederbike, though she did have to stifle a laugh when the bike hit that fool. Now, as they and the brother/sister duo were locked in the same cell, still cut off from the Force due to the containment field surrounding the cell and relieved of all their weaponry, it gave Liv time to replay the events in her mind and how they could've possibly avoided this whole pesky outcome - or at the very least avoided being arrested.
The brother/sister duo were talking amongst themselves, though Liv could hear every word with her sharp hearing but she chose to ignore their conversation as she pursed her lips and moved away from the entrance way of the cell to walk over and sit next to Bane with a sigh. Rubbing her wrists where the suppression cuffs had been she gave him a sideways glance and chuckle when he spoke.
"Well it wasn't my fault at any rate, but you on the other hand...." She gave him a teasing nudge with her shoulder as she stretched her legs out in front of her and crossed her feet at the ankles while resting her back against the wall. "....are a bad influence on sweet little ol' me. I can't take you anywhere that you don't find ways to cause some sort of ruckus. As for how long we'll be here....looking on the bright side, and depending on Umguls laws of course, it shouldn't be too long considering we didn't start the fight and you were technically just defending yourself against an attacker." She stated optimistically then paused a moment running a hand through her blonde hair before continuing.
"Oh she'll smooth things over alright, but she's definitely not going to be happy about it, or with us. I should probably update my resumé....just in case....." She quipped with a small laugh then looked over to the doorway with a thoughtful look on her face.

Feigning shock and surprise, completely with her opening her mouth to form an "O", Lana laughed softly before repeating "Only because I am irresistible? And here I thought it was because I have asked nicely, and had good arguments." Winking teasingly and nibbling her lower lip as she smiled, Lana kept only paying attention to what Elika was saying.
And she did that with undivided attention too.
"It doesn't sound sappy to me, my Shakal, I do think it's sweet." She genuinely said with a smile, "I do think it's nice to always know that wherever you are, you exactly know which place to call home, and the fact that perhaps one single person from that extended family of yours isn't around, something feels amiss." Smiling once more knowing that perhaps it was a little vague there for Elika, and also for her in a way, but at the same time she was saying all of that for Elika's own benefit with how she and Franz seem to be having a cold front in a way, but that aside, Lana knew that sooner or later they would both resolve that. They were both in the same situation, and them being friends to begin with will certainly pull them to fix it.
For her, it was a tad complicated in a way, but still she let nothing show, instead she was indeed having a great time, more than she would ever admit if were asked. But that aside, that was a story for another time, or not...
"Still, though my Shakal, if something does bother you, in what I did or anything, despite being irresistible, please don't hesitate to say it, for I truly wouldn't want to make wonderful you sad or frown." She said sincerely and softly as she looked down at her place and actually took a bite of her food. There might be a chance that she could forget to eat because she was indeed enjoying this moment, and conversation with Elika. It was just natural and great, Elika was easy to talk with once several things were put aside.
Putting her fork down and dabbing her mouth with the napkin, Lana thought about that question that was returned to her. "Truthfully, I would fuss with what I have to wear, casual, chic, or anything, I could go through five outfits until I finally settle with the first one I have chosen actually." Laughing at the thought and shaking her head, Lana looked at Elika. "But at least despite all of that fuss, I just know that spending some time with the person you are taken with, is so worth it, like right now..."

Halfway. Confronting. Get past.
Having made it nearly halfway down the stairs leading to the main floor of the club, Madieke stops when the patrons start pointing, shouting, or starting to head for the exits right before she hears Pakchoian start yelling from above. Looking over to Nuala, Madieke pulls her DL-44 free from its holster and points with her other hand to the front doors as she barks a quick series of orders, "Cover those doors! Have the surveillance teams move to cover the other exits!" Turning to head back up the stairs before she has even finished giving Nuala her orders, Madieke runs back up to help the detectives.
Even though she knows that the lightsaber wielding attacker confronting Strilath and his bodyguards is not one of the Vyridian twins, the sight that greets her when she reaches the top of the stairs almost stops Madieke in her tracks, her breath catching in her throat as she nearly staggers while running to back up Pakchoian and Nemes.
Speaking hurriedly into her comlink as she shoulders her way through the panicked crowd of patrons rushing towards the front doors so that she can try and get into a position to keep the attacker from escaping should they get past the Hutt's guards, the detectives, and Madieke, Nuala contacts the UPD officers on the surveillance team watching the club so that she can have them move to cover the other exits in case the assassin tries to escape from someplace other than the front entrance.

The Echani twin that had counter attacked the shapeshifter's initial assault on Strilath manages to survive the attempted sai tok by ducking in time to avoid the strike meant to cleave her in half at the waist, but the other objective of the attack succeeds when the lightsaber slices into the Hutt's ample side with a sizzling hiss. Strilath howls in pain as his tiny meaty arms automatically move to try and cover the wound in his side, and his eyes roll as he looks down to see the tangled, bluish ropes of bloody intestines spilling from the burnt flesh as his arms prove unable to reach the wound in time to prevent his internal organs from slipping from his torn side.
The foul stench of their employer's burnt flesh and spilled stomach contents fills the air as the four Klatoonian guards, ignoring the UPD detective's instructions to hold their fire, all take aim for the shapeshifting assassin and begin to rain blaster fire towards the attacker that has mortally wounded their employer. As Striltah pitches forward off of his dais while the Klatoonians open fire from both sides of the assassin, the Chiss interpreter rushes forward to help the second Echani twin try to aid their dying employer, one hand moving to try and prevent the wound from opening further while she uses her comlink to contact paramedics with the other.
As the roar of blaster fire begins to fill the club, the panic of the patrons inside rushing to leave intensifies even though a few among them retain the presence of mind to contact members of the media to make them aware of the situation unfolding at the club.

Strilath the Hutt's Club
Anila has little time to savor the successful completion of her assassination, no sooner has she done so than she is struck by a pair of blaster bolts and one slug fired by her victim's bodyguards. The slug slams into her left side, the pain and shock causing her to briefly (blink and one would miss it) lose her control over her form, the first blaster bolt striking her left shoulder, and the second searing her right upper arm.
Nemes, flicking his blaster to the stun setting, pauses in indecision as the Klatoonian's open fire on the assassin who looks like one of the Vyridian twins, momentarily unsure whether he should start dropping the bodyguards disobeying the order to hold their fire, or the now wounded and extremely vexed looking assassin looking very much like Andros at the height of his fury for having slain Strilath in view of numerous witnesses.
Nazani, while in her mind berating the Klatoonians at full volume for not understanding that they want the assassin alive so that they can get to the bottom of the conspiracy against the Vyridians and possibly extending to include even the Mist Government itself as she starts firing stun blasts at the Klatoonians to try and prevent them from killing the only being they know of currently that might be able to give them the means to get to the bottom of things, thankfully makes her partner's course of action more clear to him, and the Rodian is soon moving to get a clear shot at the assassin.
Anila, not caring who appears to be helping her escape as the Klatoonians start dropping, lifts the arm she had been using to hold her bleeding side and, deciding the time has come to make an exit in the confusion filling the club, fires a repulsor blast towards the beings blocking her way to the balcony railing overlooking the club to knock them aside and make a clear path for herself. Brandishing her lightsaber menacingly with an expression of unbridled fury on her face that would make anyone thinking of barring her way reconsider that course of action, the Clawdite assassin runs to the balcony and vaults over it to drop to the ground floor of the club.
Nemes, having been thrown to the ground along with a Klatoonian or two by what he and the Klatoonians all assume was a Force push, staggers back to his feet in time to see Nazani slamming a fist on the balcony as she looks over it, seeing the assassin is wading through the panicked crowds towards the front exit, making a clear shot impossible.
Anila, using her lightsaber and the fear inspired by her impersonation of a Vyridian twin most resembling popular opinion's idea of Andros to quickly get the fleeing, panicked patrons to give her a free path towards the front entrance of the club, scarcely pauses when, leaving a trail of blood behind her, she reaches the entrance Nuala is watching over, raising an arm and firing a repulsor blast to clear the last few beings barring her from escaping the club.
On the holonews, the first footage of the attack in the Hutt's club begins to appear as patrons more concerned with the dubious fame having their datapad or comlink camera footage appear on the holonews than with escaping the club begin to send it into local networks. Regular programming on Umgul is interrupted as the breaking holonews reports concerning the attack in the club begin to air. The more conservative networks announce that "An assassin appearing to be one of the Vyridian twins has killed suspected crime lord Strilath the Hutt", while less scrupulous networks declare that "Andros Vyridian has boldly slain Hutt crime boss Strilath, terrorizing citizens now trapped in the Hutt's famous Umgul City club as the UPD and Sector Rangers attempt to apprehend the violent, homicidal Vice Governor rampaging in the city!!!"

Wincing theatrically when Delaana states she had thought it was her arguments and having asked nicely which made the difference, Elikapeka uses her thumbs to keep her sleeves from slipping as she waves her hands towards Delaana and says with playful distress, "Well, um, yes, right, those absolutely and totally factored in as well my Ceesi," unable to keep from laughing in amusement for too long afterwards.
Glancing up from the food she continues to move around with her fork more than actually eating towards Franz as Delaana speaks of the families one chooses for themselves, Elika smiles a bit pensively as she nods in agreement with the Hapan's points, her mood recovering quickly however as the conversation continues; spending time with Delaana clearly and undeniably elevating her mood and lifting her spirits. Reaching over to place both her hands over Delaana's, Elika smiles kittenishly as she admits with obvious openness and vulnerability despite her amused and playful tone, "My Ceesi, I really cannot imagine you ever making me sad or frown, so I think you can set that particular worry aside."
Laughing when Delaana talks about fussing over outfits, Eilka nods with an amused smile as she says, "That sounds familiar, and, she leans over to rest a palm against Delaana's cheek as she kisses her lips softly, it is totally and utterly worth it my Ceesi."
Later, after the lunch has come to an end in what seems to be too soon a time, as she and Franz walk back into the architectural firm's building after she and Delaana have said their goodbyes, Elika wraps an arm through his and leans her head against his shoulder as she says in a playful tone meant to make it more difficult for him to allow the awkwardness that has settled over them persist any longer, "I'm done with the whole awkward thing now. Can we just pretend it never happened and go back to normal now please?"

Block. Tumbling. To rest.
Strilath's bodyguards and the dying Hutt block any shot Madieke might have been able to take at the assassin, and she grits her teeth in frustration as she watches Strilath's killer jump to the floor below. Knowing there is no way for her to follow the wounded assassin, Madieke says a silent prayer that Nuala is able to prevent the killer from escaping into the streets. Moving to help Nemes up, Madieke asks the Rodian, "You good? Pointing towards Strilath's bodyguards as she starts backing away to make her way to the ground floor, Madieke tells Nemes and Nazani, Keep them all up here," so that the Klatoonians and other aliens do not wind up getting in the way or killing the assassin she wants to capture alive if at all possible, and then turns to run for the stairs.
Nuala, a slicer that has been only been deputized as a Sector Ranger, freezes up when the assassin bulls towards the doors she is guarding, unable to so much as raise her blaster before the repulsor wave hits her and sends her tumbling out into the street along with a few patrons who had been trying to flee from the lightsaber wielding assassin.
Spotting the trail of blood on the ground floor as she runs to back Nuala up, Madieke makes a mental note to have evidence techs analyze it so that they can put the Andros as the assassin theory to rest. Cursing under her breath as she sees Nuala thrown back by what looks like a Force push from the assassin, Madieke slows down enough to try and take aim at the killer's back, shaking her head and increasing her pace once more when she sees that too many bystanders are in the way for a clear shot. Hoping that the surveillance team has had time to arrive outside the front of the club so that they can keep the assassin from getting away, Madieke runs for the entrance so that she can help apprehend the killer.

13th Precinct
Not really one to overly use the Force, the discomfort of being disconnected from it didn't bother Orion. He was just there looking jaded for being arrested, but also for being tossed into jail without his damn phone call, not that he would have any one to comm anyways. But the cops didn't need to know that.
"OI! Where's my comm?! I demand that my rights be respected people! And you call yourselves officers of the law of a democratic planet." He spoke like he just didn't care really, he had been in tougher spots, and this really was nothing compared to what they did on Taris anyways. Knowing that he wouldn't get a reply at least for now, Orion just slid down against a wall and sat down on the ground taking his head in his hands and just breathed normally, at least as normally and peacefully he could while he listened to the various ongoing conversations between the two there and the other two.
At least those people had one another, he was like the odd duck out of the lot, and for sure he had hit the Zabrak and yes, perhaps he was going to make a run for it until that officer stopped him before fleeing. But really it was the speeder's fault, it just went beserk, bad mechanics he figured.
"I'm so going to be dead..." Orion muttered under his breath, last he had heard, apparently the Vice Governor of this planet had a tendency to kill criminals... Judge, jury and executioner style...

The news of the assassination of Strilath breaking so fast that the press has not yet had time for reporters dispatched to cover the story unfolding from outside the club where the killing took place, news anchors who initially had no images to accompany their reports soon have shocking footage, some even accompanied by sound, from datapads and comlinks patrons present in the club at the time of the murder had used to record the event for posterity.
Helaine, nearly bouncing on the couch with glee as the first footage from the club begins to play while a news anchor helpfully describes what is happening for viewers, points with a delighted smile as the footage freezes to display an image of what looks to be one of the Vyridian twin's leaping down from the upper floor of the club with a red bladed lightsaber in hand and an expression of absolute rage on his face. That Strilath, laying on the floor and trying to keep those of his innards which have not already spilled out of the wound in his side from joining those which have, is visible in the corner of the screen behind the escaping killer is the cherry on top for Helaine, who laughs happily as she says in her childish, breathy voice, "Oh, that is just perfectly perfect isn't it? No matter what else happens, that is the image Umgul will have burned in their brains, now and forever, of their Vice Governor."
Lyov, his expression as impassive as his tone is neutral, devoid of any clue as to his true thoughts, says only, "Perhaps." In no mood to argue with Helaine, Lyov does not point out that the assassin has been wounded, and appears to be bleeding heavily from the wound. The blood, Lyov has little doubt, will soon be analyzed, and as it is not the blood of Andros Vyridian, will definitively exonerate him and his twin from any guilt in the murder of Strilath. As the weapon the assassin wields is the very one used in the other killings the Vyridians have been implicated in, Lyov sees nothing to celebrate in the news, only the complete and utter failure of the plan to cast a shadow of doubt over Umgul's current government.
As though reading her Master's mind, Helaine asks in a confused tone not without traces of irritation in it as she had been expecting to be congratulated for having orchestrated what she sees as the triumph unfolding on the holonews, "Don't you see my Master? Anything that happens now, any evidence the UPD or Sector Rangers produce, won't matter. It will be dismissed as a conspiracy, a plot to cover up . . ."
Lyov stands with a smile that is both bemused and almost saddened, lifting a hand to stop what he believes to be Helaine's foolish, misguided hopes from taking root within her when he believes they need to begin accepting that the end of their plotting and plans is almost certainly drawing nigh. "It is you who does not see, Lyov says evenly and with no doubt in his voice. Pointing at the screen as the news anchor begins repeating what is already known since no news has yet come in while footage from the Hutt's club plays in the background, Lyov says, The assassin was wounded. Their blood will be analyzed. It's over. Maybe a few conspiracy theorists will shout about a cover up, but those who matter, those with the authority we would need to succeed in our plans, will see the evidence and know the truth. It is over, Lyov repeats, the words almost a relief to him, his recent misgivings and doubts about the plan returning in full force. Maybe, Lyov dares to hope, the failure of the plan gives them the opportunity to walk away from what has begun to him to feel like a wrong path, a chance to be something different, something better, than crude engines of darkness. The idea of redemption, atonement, does not enter his conscious thoughts, though surely it has found a way into his subconscious as Lyov goes, a faint spark of excitement entering his tone now, What matters now is . . ."
Helaine, at first allowing her frustrated vexation to show in her expression, tunes Lyov out as he speaks about ensuring that they destroy any evidence of their involvement, cover their tracks and work on cementing their image as benefactors of Umgul. Helaine is not only unconvinced that Lyov's assertions about their plans unraveling if the Clawdite's involvement is discovered are correct, but would rather fight on that admit defeat. If subtlety will not allow them to wrest control of Umgul from the weak fools running it, Helaine sees no reason force could not. Nodding as she continues to ignore Lyov so that she appears to be listening, Helaine acts the part of the obedient apprentice as she suppresses the smile that wants to come as she thinks that, if her master has lost the will to fight, the time may at last be ripe for him to fall so that she may rise. Let him focus, she thinks as she watches him without hearing him, on hiding and pretending to be what he is not so that he pays no heed to her plotting to graduate from being the apprentice. The Mist Order already suspects Lyov, thinks Helaine as the wheels in her head begin to turn, which she may be able to use to have the Jedi help her to ascend.

Outside of Strilath the Hutt's Club
Aiming a kick to knock the blaster away from the human female with the mohawk she used her repulsor-wave emitter to remove from her path, Anila runs across the street towards the swoop bike she has spotted, unaware that it belongs to the woman she just kicked the blaster away from. As the Clawdite assassin, currently using her shapeshifting abilities to appear as one of the Vyridian twins (whom most citizens of the planet would take for Andros given the time Anila spent studying and perfecting her imitation of the Vice Governor's signature sardonic scowl and his way of carrying himself), gets onto the swoop, she looks over her shoulder as the sound of sirens approaching grows louder.
Spotting the members of the UPD surveillance team, the fact they have weapons drawn and badges out to aid them in fighting their way through the crowds of panicked club patrons streaming out of the slain Hutt's club and into the street outside making their identities as members of law enforcement abundantly clear, trying to get a clear shot at her, Anila gives them a farewell scowl before roaring off on the swoop bike, joining the most heavily congested lane of traffic she can as she tries to lose the UPD speeders and swoops rushing to the scene with sirens blaring.
Inside the club, Nazani and Nemes manage to prevent Strilath's bodyguards and major domo from leaving the scene so that their eye witness accounts of the assassination can be added to the evidence and paperwork they have ahead of them. As other UPD personnel and paramedics from a nearby medcenter arrive on the scene, Nazani focuses on ensuring that the crime scene is not disturbed so that evidence such as the blood from the assassin's wound is preserved so that it can be analyzed while Nemes does what he can to keep the members of the press, who unfortunately arrive just as quickly as the paramedics and UPD personnel, at bay.
News of the assassin's daring swoop bike escape and the UPD's pursuit soon dominates the holonews, reporters setting up as near to the club as they are allowed so that live footage is soon added to the more dramatic and salacious video footage of the immediate aftermath of the assassination from patrons in the club at the time.

Took. Back. Surrenders. Possible. Closing.
"Bitch took my swoop," Nuala groans as Madieke helps her up from the street.
"Let's go get it back," Madieke answers, holding up a hand to stop a UPD swoop officer while Nuala waves her wounded hand as she walks over to the blaster the killer kicked away from her to retrieve it.
"Cool, Nuala says, holstering her blaster as the UPD officer surrenders his swoop bike to Madieke. I drive, you shoot?"
"Want 'em alive if possible, Madieke clarifies so that the Kuati knows not to try and cause the killer to crash as they pursue him, waiting for Nuala to get on the swoop before taking a seat behind her and pointing up and ahead where the assassin's swoop can be seen weaving through traffic as she adds impatiently, Get going before we lose him."
Nuala doesn't answer, instead leaning forward as she kicks the swoop into gear and speeds after the killer. As skilled on a swoop as she is when it comes to slicing, Nuala is soon rapidly closing the distance between them and the killer, expertly threading the swoop in, out, above or under airspeeders and other vehicles.
