23rd Precinct
"You are looking at it from the wrong angle." Andros said dryly as he pushed away from the door frame of the room, having briefly seen that Madieke was looking over that file that belonged to Helaine Orlov and even Lyov Entin. But other than that, Andros turned around so that he wasn't facing the evidences that had been reconstructed on the board over there...
Earlier, he had been in the city, nothing out of the ordinary except that he had just exited his office and was holding onto several stack of flimpsiplast in folders. On his way to this place, he had overheard the news and he was already prepared for that eventuality that he would be blamed, but in the end, he had nothing to feel guilty about, he had already exorcised his rage from being pointed as the guilty one, some people in the streets had recognized him as he was making his way to this place, some were screaming guilty and some were even thanking him for what he had done because Sike had apparently been a scoundrel and some just clearly did not believe the lawyer up there because apparently he had been a weasel and was only looking for profit, hence why he had jumped to the occasion to confront Andros.
Either way, Andros did not say anything about the case at all, and he clearly wasn't in the mood at all but at least on different matters, if people had even tried to approach him concerning the other things, he'd ask, he would even do it that much considering that for the time being he had been put in charge apparently. But now he was doing all the ground work, whatever really, it was one of those ways he needed to keep his mind occupied with everything else that had been going on recently in his life, which was non-existent so to speak, but just work. He had been working the whole time to the point that he had turned into something else.
But now he was here, as per his brother's request too, and he had seen what file the Ranger, but he did not know her as the Ranger before, he had only known her as the PI that retrieved some information for him a while ago, but it was easy to put two and two, he was guessing that she was the Ranger in question since he had more or less the profile of the detectives, the chief of this precinct anyways. Andros closed his eyes briefly and just kept standing outside of the board room, but he had his head tilted downwards to that she could hear him talk once again. "It's not on files that you will find what they did or did not do, a year ago. I would know because mine shows the same thing..." Which was the several empty dark spot anyways, Andros looked back right in front of him with a hardened expression before taking a deep breath. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find the commissioner..." Andros started to say, it was now or later if she wished to stop him and interrogate him, whatever, he wouldn't even blink an eye of indignation anyways, he knew that it was bound to happen, and he also knew that his brother might show up sooner or later with Mace and maybe he would get some feedback from them.

TaSpa!
On my way back towards our table, I stop momentarily when I overhear something troubling. One of the customers in the restaurant is clearly listening to the holonews on his datapad and I furrow my eyebrows at the gravity of the situation. This is about one of my bosses and even lover boy has been cited by that attorney. Varik Monite, why is that name familiar ... I obviously need to rack my brain to remember, and then it finally hits me. Right the defense attorney always defending those so-called innocents and always after the money. Drek! Kayne!
Making a beeline straight to the table where we are settled, I look at Crystal noticing that she is indeed shocked. "I heard." I let her know before sighing audibly as I sit back down on my seat. Obviously there is going to be a problem, if Monite does file a civil suit, I cannot prosecute on that matter at all. But I do not believe a second what that attorney is claiming, boss man wouldn't even do that right? Sure he has had a plan to bring down every criminal organizations down but legally, that is what I have been privy to.
This is going to be a headache ... Closing my eyes momentarily, I still wonder why I haven't even been aware of that to begin with, right, Monite always goes behind everyone's back anyways. "I need to see both of them," I finally say thoughtfully, because I need the both of them to look into my eyes and tell me yes or no they did it. Simple as that. After I can always think of something but first things first, I look at pookie dubiously and even baby girl considering that the two of them are attuned to the Force and they would be bound to know about the twins' location.
"Where are Atlantis and Andros, now?"

Helaine could not have been more pleased when the holonews began reporting on the accusations being lain at the feet of Andros Vyridian, an unexpected but welcome development after the first silence about his involvement despite her impersonation of him during the murders. The holonews reports make it clear that the debate about whether or not Vyridian was the culprit will go on for some time where she had hoped that his guilt would be assumed from the beginning of the investigation, but the confusion the debate will create can be made to serve her Master's plans, as well as her own. The encrypted message from the twins at the floral shop, letting her know that the bounty hunter will be arriving sooner than expected, was welcome news as well, and Helaine has already begun to think of how she can make use of the Mandalorian now that she no longer has the option of sending her against Lyov since his death, assuming the bounty hunter could succeed, would only confirm the suspicions of the Jedi. Another unforeseen benefit of the debate unfolding on the holonews is that Helaine now knows how it was that the Jedi were able to determine Andros was not the killer so quickly, which will enable her to avoid future missteps. "Should I send word to Healy? Helaine asks Lyov in the private language they created together, who sits leaning forward intently with his chin resting on top of his steepled fingers as he watches the end of the UPD commissioner's speech, This scandal could be just the opening for the little editorial I have convinced him to write."
Not taking his eyes from the screen, Lyov says in the same language, "No. We wait. Let this develop further, create more doubt about the current government."
Frowning, not as patient as her Master, Helaine says, "Of course," and then smiles as she thinks of ways to sow more doubt, the fact that she has been grounded for the time being until they can determine whether or not the suspicion of the Jedi will mean their movements are monitored requiring her to act through the bounty hunter that will be arriving soon. Typing a reply to the twins at the floral shop, Helaine encrypts it so it will appear as nothing more than a simple order for flowers, and then sends it. Setting her datapad down beside her, Helaine curls up beside Lyov and watches the circus she helped create continue to unfold.

Shortly after the UPD commissioner's speech on Foxx News, UNN airs a second interview with Varik Monite. Da'an Rat'her appears on screen, first summarizing the commissioner's statement for the station's viewers, and then states that Varik is in the studio with UNN's Ja'an Blitzer.
"Well Mr. Monite, Ja'an says, you asked the UPD to respond to the serious accusations of your clients, and now they have. What are your thoughts on Commissioner Niyol's statement?"
"I can not say, Varik says with a disappointed shake of his head, that I am surprised Ja'an. I was hoping that the UPD and Mist Government would take the opportunity to acknowledge their mistakes, but instead they have chosen to brazenly try to continue pulling the wool over the eyes of Umgul's citizens. Let's take a look at what the commissioner has said, shall we? In a clever attempt to appear as though he is being transparent with the citizens of Umgul, he opens by admitting that my sources in the UPD have given me correct information about their investigation, but then tries to put a positive spin on the facts by claiming that the evidence can be interpreted in such a way as to exonerate the Vice Governor. But, Varik furrows his brows, his effort makes it more and more clear that there is something very suspicious about the UPD's investigation, and their reluctance to pursue the facts. If they aren't trying to cover for the Vice Governor, they are guilty of gross incompetence.
Let me explain, Varik says, speaking as though addressing a particularly slow student. First let's look at the facts. My client's both independently made statements that put Andros Vyridian at the scene of the murders. My clients both described the clothing Vyridian was wearing as including dark garments and a hooded cloak. Do you know what the footage the commissioner refers to in his speech shows, Ja'an? A figure in dark clothing and a hooded cloak. Coincidence? I think not. Now, the commissioner, in spite of these facts, wants us to believe that the figure on the footage is not Vyridian because the Vice Governor's twin brother claims to have a Force power that lets him see what happened in the mist, and that by using that power he knows the perpetrator was shorter than his brother. That is not only absurd, but an insult to everyone's intelligence. Number one, as I mentioned in my previous statement, no other Force user, now or in all the long history of Force users, has an ability like the one Vyridian's twin claims to possess. Not a single one. And yet we are supposed to believe that Atlantis Vyridian, very conveniently I might add, alone has that ability? Why was he even allowed to be a part of the investigation in the first place? It's a slap in the face to expect the citizens of Umgul to believe he can remain unbiased when it is the innocence or guilt of his own twin brother in question, Ja'an. It's insulting, and it's highly unethical. Yet the UPD allowed it to happen, and asks us all to believe there is no conspiracy going on to cover for the Vice Governor. They have yet to even question the man in fact, which tells me they do not plan to. It's obvious they will simply continue to ignore the facts, or try and spin them to match their story. Something is very clearly going on here, and the citizens of Umgul deserve better from the UPD and from those that govern them. Varik frowns as though the idea of what is going on is distasteful and highly disturbing to him before continuing with his statement.
Let's look at what else Commissioner Niyol tries to put over on the good citizens of Umgul Ja'an, shall we? In a desperate, classic example of trying to blame the victims, Niyol tries to attack the reputation of Tok'la Sike in an effort to sway sympathy away from him. Where is the UPD's evidence that Sike was involved in any criminal wrongdoing Ja'an? The commissioner doesn't give us any, because there isn't any to give. The UPD knows their lies won't hold up long, and so they try to pile more on. It won't work Ja'an. Tok'la Sike was an upstanding businessman with no criminal record of any kind, no charges have ever been filed against him, he was a decent, law abiding citizen like you, me, or countless other citizens here on Umgul. If this could happen to him, it could happen to any of us Ja'an. It's scary. Who knows why the Vice Governor targeted Mr. Sike? If the UPD has their way, we may never know.
My favorite part, Ja'an, was the commissioner resorting to empty threats to try and silence my clients. He knows as well as I do that defamatory statements are legally defined as requiring proof that the party or parties making them know what they are claiming is false. That is obviously not the case here, and Niyol even says that in his own statement. We will not be silenced Ja'an. This goes way beyond just my clients and Tok'la Sike now, this is about justice for all of Umgul's citizens. But unfortunately it looks like justice will not be coming from the UPD or, now that we all know the Vice Governor has been granted some kind of blanket immunity normally intended to prevent foreign powers from making false charges to try and unduly influence or intimidate a diplomat's home planet, even from Umgul's own judicial system. No Ja'an, it looks like we have only the Sector Rangers to look to for justice now. Hopefully they will do what the UPD and our government officials seem unwilling to do, and bring justice to the Vice Governor for the people of Umgul. After that, maybe the Rangers should take a long hard look at Umgul's government, who have allowed this tragedy to go unanswered, and at the UPD, who seem to be the witting or unwitting puppets of the government."

Lana was looking at Elika with a playful expression, she really was cute when she was trying to explain, that much was a given. It really was adorable and she was so glad and thankful to actually having come to know her. To think that it all began when Lana had seen Elika for the first time back on the Vice Governor's floor... At least personally, since her boss did have holo-pictures of her and her friends and even her boyfriend was there on Crystal's desk. She still had that playful smile on her features even when Elika said that she'd wish for Lana to help, which got her to reply playfully. "You'll just have to show me the right spots." Winking at Elika playfully and also mimicking the pout unintentionally when feeling that Elika had to release her hand, Lana couldn't help herself and just placed her hand onto Elika's thigh before indicating that she only needed one cube of sugar and a little cream.
Considering that her boss currently still had that shocked expression on her features, Lana just decided to stop for the time being at least the whole flirting, which was why she placed both of her hands onto the table and listened to the exchange, Franz had given some details something about slander and the Vyridian twins being no where near the site, which site exactly and what was that all about?
Crystal was still transfixed by the news that she had been reading over and over again on her datapad and then another set of information had come from UPD's commissioner. She really couldn't stand that any longer, which was why she closed her eyes and released her datapad entirely before thinking of something peaceful really. Just anything, but at least she could take comfort on the fact that Franz was saying what she needed to hear. That attorney was just dragging not only her boyfriend's name but also one of her bosses' name through the mudd...
Finally opening her eyes, Crystal focused onto Elika and released that breath she seemed to have been holding. "Apparently last night, Andros killed people according to witnesses, and now because Atlantis has investigated that." It was now starting to make sense to her, why she felt Atlantis' signature last night, why she also felt Mace and the reasons why they were exerting themselves in the Force. "The lawyer representing the witnesses who cited Andros as the perpetrator is saying that not only UPD is burying the case, but also Atlantis is sweeping that under the rug due to how he ruled out his brother from those so called allegations." Crystal said softly before shaking her head until she noticed that Lily had come back and said that she knew, however she knew or heard that, she was certain that it was due to someone listening to the news currently in this restaurant considering that plenty of people seemed to be talking about that now, not that Crystal could hear it but she still could read on people's lips.
"I do not know where they currently are, baby girl..." Crystal admitted softly considering that she was in this state of shock, she really couldn't get a hold of her boyfriend, maybe Franz would have more chance on that. Hearing again her datapad ping about an alert, she, this time, refused to look at that. "I cannot believe this, and I certainly know that they are wrong." Crystal said thoughtfully before glancing at Franz for the longest time, she wondered if he ever stepped into Andros' office... Finally standing up from her seat, Crystal looked apologetically at everyone and grabbed her bag to indicate that she needed to step out to have a smoke and maybe even try and contact Atlantis...
Lana was bewildered at what she had just heard, so much that she did not even know what to say or to think, but since she knew that Elika was close to Andros and even maybe Atlantis as after all, the latter was her boss' boyfriend, Lana placed her hand onto Elika's and gave it a gentle squeeze as if to comfort her, but clearly the one who needed comfort the most was Crystal, which was why, she looked at her boss with a dubious expression as if to ask if she needed company but all she got was a blank stare in return...

Arching an eyebrow in a playfully mischievous way when Delaana says she will need to be shown the right spots while cooking, Elikapeka is about to try and come up with a wittily flirtatious reply that she never manages to come up with since her mind goes delightfully blank for a moment when the hand Delaana places on her thigh momentarily blots out all thought as a shivery thrill travels through her. Elikapeka does not have long to enjoy the feeling however, Franz's return and what he and Crystal reveal about what is happening on the holonews immediately dousing the mood that had dominated the afternoon up until that point.
Grateful for the supportive squeeze of her hand that Delaana offers her, Elika returns the gesture while looking from Franz to Crystal, and then to Lily when she too returns to the table. Elika's expression begins as confused while she tries to make sense of what they are saying, but soon becomes angry as, making sense of what has been said, she finds the idea of Atlantis and Andros being accused of things she knows they are simply not capable of - due to the kind of people she knows beyond any shadow of doubt they are - infuriating. "That's complete and utter bantha shite, Elika says in an annoyed and exasperated tone to no one in particular, nodding in a dang right way as she agrees with Crystal in a calmer tone meant to help comfort her friend, Of course they're wrong hon'," even though she is fairly sure that Crystal is not really listening to anyone at that point.
Watching Crystal head outside to have a cigarette, Elika frowns as she mentally debates whether it would be better to let her have a moment to herself or follow her to be supportive since she knows her friend will need it; just because they all know that the accusations are false does not make them any easier to hear, and while Elika isn't yet fully aware of all that is involved, she knows how fickle the general public can be, and how even untruths can cause lasting damage to reputations even if they are eventually disproved. Giving Delaana's hand a gentle squeeze, Elika takes her napkin from her lap and tosses it on the table as, her expression a dark and glowering one that would do Andros himself proud, she says, "I'll be right back," before releasing Delaana's hand and following Crystal outside.
Once she has caught up with Crystal outside, Elika puts a hand on her shoulder and rubs it as she says in a reassuring tone, "Whatever is going on, no matter how bad it gets, we're here for you, OK hon'? We'll get through this. What do you want to do? If we can figure out where Atlantis is, do you want to go to him? Whatever you want, we'll do, alright?" Worried for Andros as well as Atlantis, Elika decides that she will comm him as soon as she has the chance to let him know that he has people that believe in him no matter what the vultures in the press are saying.
Grey Mist
"Maddie? Nazani, who will not have much to be amused about in an hour when the first holonews stories begin to air, says in an amused tone after Nuala has gone off towards her swoop bike. And since when do you smoke?"
Blowing a few smoke rings up, Nemes exhales a neat line of smoke through the rings and says, "Since now. This case is going to be the one to finally give me an ulcer, I can feel it. Taking a final drag from his cigarette, Nemes stubs it out on the heel of his shoe and then walks to a waste bin to get rid of it. Nodding with his snout towards their speeder, the Rodian says, Let's go and see what Maddie's next move is."
23rd Precinct
Not much goes on in the precinct that Commissioner Niyol is not eventually made aware of, and the news that the Vice Governor has arrived reaches the tall Kel Dor quickly. Niyol and Andros have met on occasion, and while the two are not close, Niyol respects the human for all he has accomplished since assuming his office, and personally finds the accusations that have been made against the human ludicrous.
Resting a claw-tipped hand on Andros' shoulder when he finds the Vice Governor speaking with SEO Aninh, Niyol tells him, Koh-toh-yah, greeting him formally in Kel Dorian before, having interacted with the human enough to know that he despises wasting time, getting right down to business. What can I do for you? Niyol doesn't feel the need to express any sympathy for the Vice Governor's plight, nor does he believe the human would want it any way, and so he trusts that the human knows where he stands based on his statements to the press. Turning towards Aninh, Niyol tells her, Meet us in my office in ten minutes. You can question the Vice Governor then. The Ranger will have to do so eventually, if only to satisfy the press even if she feels it is not necessary for her own reasons, and Niyol sees no point in delaying that when they are all here now. Lifting a hand to gesture towards the stairs leading to his office, Niyol tells Andros, After you.
A dark haired, amber eyed human uniformed patrolwoman, not as familiar with Andros as Niyol, salutes him as she passes him on the way to the stairs, telling him, "Don't worry, sir, we're all behind you. We'll find the schutta behind this, and . . ."
"Sorry, sir. She's new," the patrolwoman's partner tells Andros as she grabs her fellow officer by the shoulder and begins pulling her away so she doesn't bother the Vice Governor any more with her fangirling.

Franz knew that Atlantis was the overly protective type when it came to the people he cared about. But he also knew that Atlantis would do whatever it took to bring people to justice even if it was someone part of his family. Franz knew the identical twins' history, he knew that they had been at odds in the past and he also knew that even if Atlantis knew that Andros had done the wrong thing, Atlantis did not stop from confronting Andros for being the man he once was in the past. Obviously it wasn't a public knowledge at all, it was a secret well guarded amongst a few of them and everything about those things had been sealed shut from any outsiders.
When Franz noticed that Crystal had been looking at him dubiously, he did not understand what message she wanted to pass to him. He did not get it and therefore it only made him to look at her with an inquisitive expression before looking at Lily who asked where the twins were. "Andros is nearby..." Franz said as he concentrated and extended his awareness in the Force as he even managed to pinpoint the man's voice, albeit faint, but he seemed to have been talking to someone, something about needing to see the commissioner? "He is in one of the precincts." Franz said thoughtfully before tilting his head on the side considering that he had not felt a surge in Atlantis' signature nor in Mace's, then maybe they were fine? "Last time I have heard from Mace, she said that she was following a lead in one of the higher classes of the city." For now Franz did not give the name at all considering that it was too soon to tell and he preferred to be on the safe side but knowing Atlantis if he had heard about the holonews too, he'd find his brother.
"Atlantis will be where Andros is, that I am positive." Franz explained before looking at Crystal who had just upped and leaved soon followed by Elika, but it really had been the first time that he had heard Elika speaking that way, if this situation wasn't serious or very important, he might have probably laughed but this was no laughing matter at all and he could tell that even Elika was unsettled by those ludicrous accusations concerning the twins. Heck they all were, since they intimately knew the Vyridian twins and that it was impossible for them to even do such things, especially when it all started from Andros apparently.
The younger twin had been keeping a low profile and never once took all of the credits he had been doing for this city, for this planet and now the public might turn against him because he had apparently murdered people? If people really thought that low of him, why would he even try and make life easier for everyone, did they not even realize that? Franz downed his stimcaf only because he needed that burning sensation in his system, but then he looked at both Lana and Lily. "We should go find them, they both need you equally." Franz said as he removed his napkin from his lap and tossed that onto the table before standing up from his seat waiting for the two women and already he was starting to get irritated because even this restaurant was clearly talking about what Andros did or did not do. Some believed that he might have been the perpetrator and some did not, it was divided but his hearing was already starting his irk him. Walking around to grab Elika's effects so that she wouldn't bother to come back here if they all decided to leave and see the twins, Franz already took care of that just in case.

Projected. Blank.
Looking over her shoulder when she hears Andros behind her, Madieke purses her lips as she considers his advice about the angle she has been looking at things, and then stands to turn and face him as he suggests that she won't find what Entin or Orlov did in any file. Madieke nods, more to indicate that she has heard what he's said than to denote agreement since he hasn't said what it is the couple is supposed to have done, though she can guess what he is implying. It is the why he, and his brother with Vos, are so quick to assign blame to the couple that continues to elude Madieke. Files aside, judging the couple by their actions since arriving on Umgul would seem to indicate they are philanthropists more than anything else. With the way the press appears to have taken a liking to the couple, following even their non-charitable activities with a voyeuristic zeal not unlike that with which they used to follow Atlantis and Crystal's, Madieke imagines there is little they do that doesn't end up being reported. Is it that they both have some blank spots in their histories that makes the Jedi suspect them? The thing with blank spots, Madieke has found, is that they can be like blank screens for some, screens upon which nearly anything at all can be projected, especially when you start filing in the screen with things that aren't there because they fit a theory or because one wants a certain thing to be there. Madieke prefers to fill in those blanks with facts, and to resist the temptation to just fill them in with speculation when she cannot.
Nodding when Andros says that he's here to see the commissioner, Madieke says, "Come back when you're done. We'll talk about angles. Before Andros can reply, Commissioner Niyol shows up and asks her to meet with him and Andros in ten minutes. Ten minutes," Madieke repeats to confirm she'll be there, watching the two head off before sitting back down to go over the files from the OC while thinking about what questions she'll want to ask Andros, and playing back in her head what he had said about his own file containing blank spots since, in the end, given that he's innocent of what he's being accused of, Andros, out of them all, should realize that it is possible to have some blank spots in one's past and still be a decent being. So why does it seem like he isn't willing to give Entin and Orlov the same benefit of the doubt? What are they all seeing that she isn't? Maybe Andros, known for being blunt, will spell out the reasons for his suspicions for her rather than talk around the subject like his brother and Vos seem to prefer doing for some reason.

23rd Precinct
The one who used to be a PI, whose services he had hired in the past, stated that she wished to speak with him whenever he was done with what he had to do. It wasn't an order at all, and it did not bother him the least. There were a few that knew how usually he would respond to those type of requests, and they were also a few that knew that it was preferable not to push him at all. Although he guessed that it had been a widely known fact considering how he carried himself on a day to day basis. Like right now when the Commissioner had found him, when the Kel Dorian had placed his hand on Andros' shoulder, usually Andros would glare at the person for that transgression, usually he would sneer whenever he was touched because he was uncomfortable with that, but Niyol, the Commissioner was someone Andros had found an understanding with. Andros respected the man, he knew how to deal with Andros, he knew what to say or what not to say.
Simple.
They weren't close, no, but they also weren't at odds at all. After all, Andros rarely did house calls so to speak, but Niyol had been one of the first one that had reached out to him back then and Andros found that move bold but also admirable. "Koh-toh-yah, Commissioner." Andros replied as he showed off the stack of folders he had been holding, he was certain that the Commissioner would understand that this was something about they had spoken in the past about the overall security around the city, he did promise the tall Kel Dor that he would keep him apprised of the situation concerning the overall settings that the Intelligence Department would implant or wouldn't implant. Andros rarely promised and when he did, he would hold onto those sooner or later.
Following Niyol to his office, he was suddenly stopped by a patrolwoman, keeping an expressionless face throughout the statement, Andros wasn't even glaring, he wasn't even showing any type of emotions because he was exhausted, over the last couple of days he had barely slept, but all in all he did appreciate the sentiment which was why he looked at both of the officers and just nodded, there was no smile, nothing whatsoever but just that straight line on his lips.
Finally reaching Niyol's office, Andros glanced around momentarily and took a deep breath, this wasn't his space therefore he did not sit unless he was told to sit down. He still had manners despite being the Vice-Governor or even being arrogant from time to time, all he did was to put the folders on the Commissioner's desk and looked at Niyol when they were finally face to face. "Last night, I had a talk with the Director of the Intelligence Department, I have been told that twenty-five percent had no camera coverages around the City." It was the first file on the stack and Andros pointed at that, it would also have all of the codes that only the Commissioner could activate if he wanted to consult all of that with his IT department, whatever Andros did not know how all of the intricacies worked around here but those footage couldn't be hacked at all as they were straightly linked to the Intelligence Department as well.
"Second thing would be the secured funds for law enforcement, you'll have to see through it if you will use those equally for every precincts around the planet, and due to the fact that the galaxy is knowing a crisis when it comes to those companies. You might have to outsource like our Director of Intelligence is bound to do." Andros said thoughtfully, all in all it felt like he was the one reporting to one of his superiors but at this point he didn't care at all, there he was standing with his hands behind his back, his posture one of a soldier who seemed to be briefing one of his COs. "People do not come to me when they need something, unlike you did, which is the reason why I have come to see you personally, Commissioner." Andros said thoughtfully but also sincerely despite keeping a somewhat abrasive tone, but he knew that Niyol was used to that, and Andros also knew that the Commissioner wouldn't be offended, after all Andros had made his way here alone.
"Third thing, I do not want you to take all of the heat for my benefit." Andros said as his expression darkened, which meant that he did hear the Commissioner's response to Varik Monite. He knew that Niyol would know that he didn't do any of those things that were claimed he had done, but Andros clearly did not want a respectful man to keep on replying to those stupidities being spouted by that attorney that only was looking for the big credits. "Also who tipped off that rodder about my brother's abilities?" Andros asked through gritted teeth, no-one but the Jedi knew about Atlantis' manipulation of the Force, no one but the fact that Monite knew that was troubling, that would mean that whoever had really committed those crimes would be tipped off...

TaSpa!
I am usually not the type of person to be unsettled by many things, but this I cannot help but to think that the government might be faced with a coup. Public opinion is going to be hard to bear that is a fact, and I do not even start imagining the backlashes with that announcement. Sure there is freedom of speech and everything that goes with it, but this matter, it was low. Even my comlink starts to sound off, I am sure that it's from the team of paralegals that are often in the office and just for that, I do not even want to answer, but I have no choice at all ...
I know. I answer dryly to whoever just contacted me, and quite honestly I do not even give a damn on who just reached me because, I am just feeling disgust at this point. Get me Varik Monite's cases from ever since he got here, and I will get to that later. I make that final and even shut off the communication entirely without even bothering telling the person that nothing has to be done concerning the Vice-Governor since I obviously am not going to prosecute that and if it does come to it, I will assume his defense even if being the Attorney General doesn't allow me to do that to begin with, but there are ways, there is always a way.
Listening to both Franz and Crystal, the former gives me more details on where to find the brothers considering that the latter really has no idea. All I know right now, there is no use to stay here considering the gravity of the situation. Grabbing several credit chips from my bag that would cover Lana's meal and even the extras we have ordered since Elika did request the package, therefore the meal should be included for all of us, except for Lana, I finally stand up from my seat and grab all of my belongings even Kayne's datapad that she has inadvertently left on the table. I check everything around to see if someone has leaved anything but Franz takes care of Elika's things and I incline my head to tell him to lead the way, before glancing at Delaana with a serious expression.
"We should go, there is no use for us to stay here, and Franz is right, Elika will also need you." I tell her seriously before making my way out and putting on my coat before securely placing the strap of my bag on my shoulder. We find Crystal and Elika quickly and I look at them both and even hear what gorgeous has said in the end. "Let's go find them both ..." I know for a fact that everyone will be needing to find Andros and Atlantis, all for different reasons but in the end, we all care about the brothers because like it has been said multiple times, impossible for them to do such things at all despite what the witnesses have seen or have not seen. I, of course, do not have all of the details but I am sure that if I do ask for them, I may get them relatively quickly ...
Looking at Franz to tell him to lead the way since he is the one who knows how to track the brothers, I glance at the time and notice that it is already nearing four, and despite the gravity of the situation, I still hope that this will not stop Franz from being held up from his other date, despite how messed up for some that would look.

TaSpa! - Outside
Crystal had made her way outside, just away from the population at large. She did not want to hear their debates at all and thankfully the presence of the mist would cover their faces and therefore their lips. Finding her cigarettes in her bag, Crystal took one out and lit it up, but she knew that a smoke wouldn't calm her down necessarily since this would only stress her more, the effects of a cigarette she guessed but still, it soothed her in a way. She had been staring blankly and really tried to make herself small. She knew that those accusations were false because there was no way Andros would even start doing that let alone would even walk free when she very well knew what awaited him if he crossed that proverbial line. Atlantis had told her but that was a story for another time and it certainly was something she wasn't going to share at all.
Ever since she became attuned to the Force, she was told to keep that for herself, to diminish her presence in the Force all the time whenever she was around people. She did and it was what she had kept doing that whole time and she had also been given that option to completely mask her signature but she denied and told the person that she would handle it. Insofar she was doing just fine, to the population and everyone else in the government except a few kept thinking that she wasn't attuned to the Force, but now, really now this was starting to look like a déjà vu for her. Crystal really had a bad feeling about this and she was certain that whoever had orchestrated that wasn't done at all. Sighing softly and closing her eyes briefly as she took a drag of her cigarette, Crystal felt a hand on her shoulder and noticed that it was Elika, turning her head away to blow the excess of smoke, Crystal looked back at her friend with a grateful gaze and smile.
"I know, sweetie," Crystal said softly as she wrapped an arm around Elika's waist and leaned against her friend for comfort in a way. They were here for her, but what about the guys? Sure everyone that knew them best would be there for them too, that was undeniable. "Andros doesn't deserve this, sure he is the way he is but, he just wouldn't do such thing without a valid reason." Andros was Andros and that was a fact, she had gotten the whole report of back then when he was facing that darksider, when she first met her brothers. Then there was Atlantis, he did make some questionable decisions but when he gave the explanations, it made sense. "We need to find them both..." Crystal said as she took another drag of her cigarette and released completely Elika this time so that she could put her cigarette out and dispose that in the nearest bin.
It also seemed that Lily had made her way outside with Franz and Lana. Looking at her childhood friend, Crystal nodded to say that she was in agreement with that definitely but when her gaze landed on Lana, Crystal could see that Lana seemed to be apologetic for all of this, which caused Crystal to shake her head to tell her that she had nothing to apologize for. "I am the one who should apologize, this wasn't the afternoon I had in mind..."
Delaana was shaking her head and was smiling in support, although she did feel bad for this whole thing, as she knew that someone's reputation could be damaged due to allegations, she'd know, a long time ago she had gone through that which caused her to leave her home planet to begin with, but this wasn't the time and place to walk down memory lane. Lana could see how very fortunate Crystal was to have caring friends, but also even if they would be branded as biased due to their closeness to the Vyridian twins, she could see that they did not have any doubts that Andros indeed did not do those things. "The vultures are the ones to blame, and not yourself." Lana replied knowingly as she was holding onto her sports bag, but she retrieve her sweater from within to put that on. "We should probably get out of the streets and go to wherever you wish to go? Some people still remember who you are." Lana said thoughtfully looking at Crystal, after all, Crystal and Atlantis did have extensive coverage about their relationships a while ago, and her attention focused on Lily as well because she was still Umgul's Attorney General and from time to time she did get some coverage from highly sensitive cases that she had prosecuted.

"No he doesn't, Elikapeka agrees when Crystal states that Andros does not deserve the ridiculous accusations that have been made against him or the inevitable blow to his reputation that those allegations will make given how fickle the public can be, especially when the press seldom makes a sincere effort to be fair or balanced when sensationalism, at the end of the day, is their bread and butter. Rubbing Crystal's back after her friend has put out her cigarette, Elika tells her, Let's go and find them then," turning when Franz, Lily, and Delaana come out of TaSpa! to join them.
Once Franz lets them know that he has learned that Andros is at a UPD precinct, and that Atlantis is likely to be on his way there if he is not already present, Elika tells Delaana, "You don't need to come with us, since she does not want her to feel obligated to come along if she would rather not, and attempts a smile as she reaches out to clasp Delaana's hand briefly to make it clear that she is not trying to get rid of her, only trying to be considerate as she says, There's no reason this should ruin your night too." After Delaana has made her decision, with Elika giving her the comm frequency that she can be reached at if she elects not to join them, those going to the precinct follow Franz to the airspeeder to make the trip. No one, understandably, seems to be in the mood for conversation, and Elika spends the ride to the precinct searching the holonet for reports about what brought the allegations about so that she has a better idea of what is going on, finding written transcripts of the various statements that have been made rather than the holonews reports themselves, which would require the others to endure listening to them along with her. Sighing and returning her datapad to her backpack purse once she has read what she found, Elika leans her head back and closes her eyes as she digests everything. She had hoped that things would be more black and white, a simple misunderstanding that could be easily cleared up, but what she has read makes it clear that the whole affair is a complicated and tangled one. Those that know the Vyridian twins well will know the accusations being made against them are patently false, but those that don't will have to sift through the mudslinging going on and wait until the UPD can more firmly prove that they have the right of things to learn the truth; assuming that the UPD can ever do so given how, as one of the holonews reporters said, difficult it can be for those not attuned to the Force to truly understand some of what has happened. It would also have been a fortunate turn of events if the attorney making the allegations was incompetent, but from what Elika has read he is eloquent, intelligent, and adept at spinning the facts with just the right amount of indignation and sensationalism to make the general public heed what he says rather than discount it out of hand. All in all, Elika thinks as she feels the airspeeder coming to a halt, things are shaping up to be a nightmare for Andros and Atlantis that is likely to go on for sometime.
Once inside the precinct, they let a dour looking male Duros uniformed officer know why they are here, and are promptly told to have a seat and wait. Elika doesn't particularly feel like sitting, and so she paces the waiting area restlessly, chewing on her thumbnail as she tries to avoid pacing into the occasional patrol officers leaving after a shift, arriving for a shift, or escorting witnesses or suspects through the bustling, noisy waiting area.
23rd Precinct - Commissioner Niyol's Office
Knowing Andros will not sit unless invited to do so, Niyol gestures towards one of the seats in front of his desk, standing behind the other until Andros sits or simply remaining standing if the human chooses to stay standing. Niyol doesn't interrupt as Andros explains what he has come to discuss, knowing that the human will not need to hear each and every thought that goes through his head to know that Niyol is attending to what is being said and deciding what actions need to be taken or making what decisions need to be made. Like the Vice Governor, Niyol prefers acting swiftly and decisively to endlessly discussing things and never getting them done. Additional cameras, which can help deter crime so long as they are maintained, can only be a good thing; though the Kel Dor knows that hoping to ever achieve full coverage is a pipe dream given the amount of vandalism and simple wear and tear that comes along with them; nor is it likely the general public would welcome such an achievement with all of the whiny liberal bantha crap about invasion of privacy and other nonsense that always flares up when the issue is discussed publicly. As underfunded, understaffed, and unappreciated as nearly all law enforcement agencies around the universe tend to be nearly all the time, the UPD can certainly use additional funds; adding what Andros has secured for them with the recent donation of credits from Lyov Entin, who has been a personal friend of the Kel Dor ever since they met at one of the Epicanthix's fund raisers, the UPD will be able to make some sorely needed improvements to their equipment and staffing levels. Andros does not need to hear all of those thoughts, so Niyol simply says sincerely, Thank you. I will make sure the UPD takes full advantage of what you have provided us with.
Lifting his claw-tipped hand when Andros says he does not want Niyol to take all of the heat from the current debacle in the holonews, the tall Kel Dor says, The UPD's integrity is being called into question along with yours, and I see no reason that we both should have to deal with this type of nonsense. Let me deal with the press. Seeing no need to dwell on the issue, Niyol moves on to the question Andros asked about the source within the UPD the attorney making the accusations referred to in his statements, saying, The only ones who have enough access to the investigative findings to have tipped Monite off are the investigating team themselves, or possibly someone in the OC unit since they have been collaborating with them as well. I will find out who is responsible for the leak, Niyol says in a tone that makes it clear he is making a promise he intends to keep, adding, It will not be happening again, in a severe tone suggesting he will not be going lightly on whoever was responsible for the leak.
Lifting a finger when the comlink on his desk pings, Niyol steps over to pick up the device, answering it curtly since he had left instructions not to be interrupted. After a brief conversation, Niyol sets the comlink down and tells Andros, You have some people waiting down at the front for you. A Mr. Delgrave along with a few others? Glancing over at the chrono on his wall, Niyol gauges from Andros' expression that the beings here to see him are among the privileged few he actually might welcome even when unexpected and so says, Go, then asks him, Shall I let SEO Aninh know you may be a bit late in joining us? Or tell her that she can ask the questions she needs to ask you another time?
23rd Precinct - West Side Landing Pads and Official UPD Vehicle Parking Area
Unaware that he will be facing the Commissioner's wrath when it is learned that he was the unwitting source of Monite's information, Nemes steps out of their speeder and adjusts his shoulder holster as he looks around to see if Nuala has beat them here, telling Nazani, "I'm hungry. You hungry? We should order something in yeah?"
Nazani shrugs, telling the Rodian, "Sure. You should probably call the wife too, let her know you're probably gonna be late. Spotting Nuala near her swoop nearby, the curvy Lorrdian groans, Looks like she beat us again. C'mon, let's go see if Aninh or the Jedi got anything useful from their interviews," and then begins heading towards the station entrance after waving for Nuala to come along.

23rd Precinct - Waiting area
Franz had led all of them to the precinct where he could feel his cousin's distinct signature. Many things were going through his mind currently and there was still that encrypted message that was at the forefront of his thoughts. He had received that message from Mace with the location of where she and Atlantis actually were. He had no further details than that but the location. He was pretty sure that they had a reason, Atlantis along with Mace always had a reason, especially the Kiffar Master...
Now they were at the precinct, Franz did all of the talking saying the whats and whys they were here, no further details and now Franz was standing outside of the waiting room on sentry duty, his arms behind his back and clearly his expression was just neutral. Although he could see that Elika was restless since she was pacing to and fro and even chewing her thumbnail. He knew why she was like that currently and he also knew that the others were having the same thoughts, at least he was guessing that.
Pushing away from his spot, Franz advanced towards Elika and put a hand up looking at her with a comforting expression. "You need to have peaceful thoughts," Franz said softly before lowering his hand and closed his eyes momentarily before glancing in Crystal's direction briefly. He knew that it was better said than done, that much was a given but considering that she and Crystal were very close, he was guessing that the CFO was being hit by her friends' emotions tenfold. Remembering that Atlantis had given her something, that crystal that would potentially make her get a hold of her thoughts and be focused onto something else, Franz glanced at her sweater's pocket.
"No one will hold it against you if you are thinking of something else and if you are focusing on that solely." Andros told her sincerely with a faint smile before briefly glancing over his shoulder as if to get a sense of Andros. "Also know that I am sure that Andros will be grateful that you are all here but he might tell you off for being even here." Such was Andros he guessed, already the man hated being watched inquisitively and he wondered how Andros will be acting in the first place with people he cared about and obviously cared about him in the middle of this precinct.
"And he isn't here to be arrested, no one believes he did what those witnesses say he did."

Atlantis had started to walk back with Mace in the center of the City to regain that precinct, on the way there he had asked Mace further details about what they had spoken before concerning Horsea in particular. All the words had been exchanged privately, and the impression that he had to begin with only furthered that impression he had that Helaine was indeed the guilty one. The full account from Mace was easy to understand, he also knew every other tidbits in between but how it had come to the fact that she had been the first one to bound off in Crystal’s and Alluria’s direction to prevent the use of the Force then and there really did make sense.
Nodding in understanding, he did leave her with a final request and that was to follow up on every communications concerning that couple. He knew that Horsea could do it without making it aware that they are being placed onto listening device. One of the perks that everything on this planet was more or less public domain. At least concerning that couple, as unlike him and Crystal, they did not have any injunctions concerning them so they were public domain. His and Mace’s way separated as she made her way back to the Intelligence Department but she also added an addendum to Atlantis’ request, that they should continue also to keep an eye on that newest editor with the splat that had just occurred considering that it was now the talk of the city, this was going to turn into a political coup. But whatever Mace had decided, he trusted her to see everything through anyways and that went without saying…
Watching briefly Mace head off, Atlantis grabbed his datapad and read that encrypted message from Madieke but he did not respond to that at all, instead he found himself feeling those familiar beings nearby. To think that to begin with he was searching for his brother but now not only Franz was there, but also Elika, Lily and last but not least, his girlfriend Crystal.
Pocketing his datapad, Atlantis made his way into the precinct.
23rd Precinct
He clearly did not care about the people staring at him and he clearly also did not care about people trying to stop him to go further, he would just look at them with a growl because he really did not have any time to waste. Finally finding all of them in the waiting area, Atlantis frowned and rubbed the root of his nose.
“You shouldn’t be here…” Atlantis began to say as his expression softened and he smiled faintly as he knew the reasons why they were here, at least he could figure it out, they had heard the news, and they were here as a support he guessed. Noticing that Elika was the one who looked very stressed, he tilted his head on the side and looked at her with an affectionate smile. “Thank you, but don’t worry, Andros and I had way, way worse back then.” He knew that it wasn’t comforting at all but it would take a lot more for people to dent his beliefs and his actions.
And then he remembered something considering that Crystal had in her possession that invitation from that couple. It made him really uneasy and he was even trying to control his facial expression. He walked towards Crystal and took her hands in his own and looked at her with a warm smile but there was conflict in his gaze at the same time. If he said this thing out loud, maybe Lily and/ or Elika wouldn’t comprehend at all so for the time being he was focusing onto Crystal and just rested his forehead against hers before speaking to her privately through the Force.
I need you to do something for me, Atlantis pushed his head away from her to look into her eyes, he really looked serious and wasn’t kidding about this matter at all. But considering that he had mandated Franz to Elika too, he had to know which was the reason why he encompassed the man to this directive he was about to give. Do not, under any circumstances, stay for too long next to Lyov Entin and especially Helaine Orlov. I will explain the reasons why soon but I have been made aware of something very disturbing, and it concerns you partially, Crystal. So please do not Lily and especially Elika be seduced by one of them, particularly that Zeltron.
Atlantis inclined his head and leaned over to kiss Crystal’s forehead before pecking her lips lovingly. Finally he stood back up to his full height and looked at the Attorney General wondering if she also had any questions for him or whatever. He’d go through the interrogations if those were necessary but really he knew that sooner or later it was going to be redundant and he really did not want to cause any more troubles between the friends to begin with. So for the time being he stayed put and waited silently…

23rd Precinct - Commissioner Niyol's Office
Andros understood why the Commissioner had responded in the first place, he understood entirely but the whole game, it was irking Andros, the back and forth was clearly annoying the hell out of him. Andros did incline his head and said nothing more on the subject, though perhaps he should start thinking about giving in a statement as well sooner or later and personally. He'd think about it he supposed but for now he had felt that some people that he was really familiar with were nearby. He did nothing for the time at all, and he kept his expression still had that darkened look, after all him and Niyol weren't done talking and Andros still wanted to know who had tipped off that attorney.
"I sure hope not, Commissioner, Grandmaster Vyridian has a unique faculty to adapt to his surroundings. He assimilates quickly and he is known to develop his own sets of core powers each time he changes location." Andros bluntly said, he was the same but that had been before, he was no longer that much in touch with the Force ever since he entered the office. Of course he always kept on training but it was only his body and mind he kept focusing on. But he could see in Niyol's expression that indeed whoever tipped off Monite or however that lawyer got that information, the Commissioner would deal with the person in question. "Nonetheless do be lenient on the person, I am sure that whoever that was had valid intentions but tell them to mind their own thoughts and also watch what they say to people." Andros left it at that, he had his reasons, he did not believe everyone in ever institutions and he knew that everywhere there might be a leak but that thought of his, he kept it for himself.
Andros always dealt with people he deemed worthy and could be trusted. Considering that they were done with what Andros needed to speak about with Niyol, he remained put for the time being especially when he heard that comlink, Andros could guess what that was all about, and his expression did soften when Niyol announced who it was. "Thank you, and as for SEO Aninh, she can talk to me whenever she wants but I may relocate that talk elsewhere." Andros said before turning around to leave the Commissioner's office. Niyol knew that Andros hated the attention and he clearly hated to be in an unfamiliar and confined space anyways.
Walking down the stairs, Andros' gaze returned to the glaring one, he had seen that his brother had made his way to where everyone was and he noticed that those two detectives along with Nuala were entering the precinct too. For a long time he poured his dark gaze in their direction before he continued to walk down the stairs, something told him that those were the people in question or at least one of them but far from him to even pull in some strings to begin with although he did have that sneer of disgust on how everything had unraveled quickly. Not even caring who was looking at him or who was even standing aside to let him pass, Andros found himself in the waiting area and he saw everyone really all of them, at least those handful of people he cared about just sitting or standing there.
23rd Precinct - Waiting area
He was touched, that was a fact but he did not want them to be put in the press's scrutiny because of their attachments to him, one way or the other. "You should not be here..." Andros said darkly very unaware that his brother had already said that but fact was, it wasn't because Andros was uncomfortable amongst them, it was more because he did not want them to have any part of this, to have their name branded next to his. But all of a sudden he placed his hand on his face due to exhaustion and due to the fact that really he did not sleep last night as he had still been working and following up on other pending matters in his office. Taking a deep breath to regain his center, Andros dropped his hand and looked at all of them with a defeated expression due to tiredness only. Then he remembered that they were still in the precinct and that not only he was here but so was his brother. "We should leave this place, at least the four of you, and I will find you tonight." He had a definitive tone, there was no way anyone would be able to change his mind right now, although at this point forward he did look in Atlantis' direction with an inquisitive look as if to ask him what else he had found insofar, or it could have been that question on where Mace was.

“Yes Miss Jan . . . looking at his comlink as the humming of a disconnected frequency sounds from it, the young paralegal sets it on his desk with a muttered, What a . . .” Realizing that this could be his chance to stand out from the pack, the paralegal stops himself before choosing the right curse word or words for the she-demon he slaves away for, and instead bends over the keyboard of his dataterminal to begin his research. He will send the woman he fears and idolizes in equal measure a report she will never forget, a report so complete and so insightful that she will recognize his talents. She may even learn his name after all this time.
The document the paralegal sends is a veritable novel, including not only a complete listing of all of Varik Monite’s cases in chronological order, but also a synopsis and analysis of each and every case on the list. Monite’s earliest cases suggest he began his career as an ambulance chaser, consisting entirely of personal injury lawsuits that he consistently won time after time. After a year of such cases, Monite branched out into wrongful termination cases, which he also consistently won. Two years into his career, the Zelosian catapulted into the spotlight when took on and won a large, widely publicized case against a pharmaceutical company that resulted in huge settlements for the clients he represented, local fame and accolades for Monite, and a hefty payday that left him quite well off. Monite’s career took an odd turn one year after the case that earned him a name in legal circles, finding him suddenly defending criminals of all varieties from charges of all kinds, as well as beginning to practice business law. Monite’s case records overall, consisting of far more wins than losses, suggest that he is actually worth the increasingly high fees he charges.
The paralegal does not stop there, adding a biography of Monite that begins with the Zelosian’s birth on Zelos II and ends with a summary of his statements to the press today. Monite was the youngest of five children, lost both his parents shortly before he graduated from law school, and relocated to Umgul when his girlfriend, now his wife of ten years, accepted a teaching position at a university on the planet. Monite has two children, both girls, and his hobbies include swimming and holophotography. The paralegal ends his masterpiece with a detailed psychological profile of Monite that paints a portrait of the Zelosian as both a doting husband and father as well as a passionate, resilient, egotist motivated as much by winning his cases as he is by the financial gain and recognition to be gained by winning.
Wiping the sweat from his brow, the paralegal sends the completed document to Ljiljana, then leans back in his chair to take a moment to dream of the praise sure to be coming his way after the she-demon reads it and recognizes his genius.

Waiting outside he precinct to try and catch the Commissioner when he leaves to get an unprepared statement from the Kel Dor turns out to be the best decision that intrepid young holonews reporter Jim'ee Olsen has made in his short but sure to soon be on the rise career. Having seen the Vice Governor enter the precinct was tempting, but Olsen was unable to work up the courage to try and intercept the accused killer since, even before he was accused of the recent murders, the man's demeanor was fearsome enough. When Olsen had seen the CFO, Attorney General, and Grandmaster of the Mist Order enter the precinct not long after the Vice Governor, it was just too good to pass up.
Looking over at his trusty "Cammy" Cam droid, Jim'ee told her to start recording and follow as he got his microphone ready to record. "Cammy"'s footage is set up to be automatically sent to his dataterminal in the holonews network offices in case she is damaged while in the field, just like anything his microphone records. Rushing towards where he can see the ViceGovernor and Grandmasterer after "Cammy" gives him a few motherly words of encouragement and reminds him to be fair and balanced, Jim'ee starts throwing out questions as "Cammy" hovers in the air far enough behind him to capture the scene in the waiting area, "Vice Governor! Grandmaster! Will either of you be issuing statements in response to Varik Monite's allegations? What are your thoughts on what has been happening Attorney General Jankovic? Vice Governor, will you be stepping down from your office temporarily in light of what is happening? Vice Governor, Grandmaster, is there anything either of you would like to say to the citizens of Umgul?"

23rd Precinct
Once inside the precinct, I could have sworn to have seen that young reporter who always is around whenever there is a major case, but for the time being, right this instant I really do not care because I am still wrapped up around the whole matter. Obviously I do not believe that the Vice-Governor has done those things he is being accused of due to the simple reason that I do know him, and never once I have seen him having a life so to speak. He always is in his office and barely sleeps. But some facts are there and there are things that I sincerely know aren't always logical to begin. Sure those witnesses are saying that Andros did those things. But was it really him or just someone trying to pass up as him? I am more leaning towards the second option that's for sure, and this is going to be a huge political scandal also ...
Sighing softly and closing my eyes briefly, I grab baby girl's hand to tell her that I am here, that I am not elsewhere really and then look at everyone here who is with me with a very serious expression. "The press is outside, when we leave, we should take a secondary exit, but ..." I know Jim'ee, he is the type of guy who wants to have the first big story in order to go higher on the ladder, but before I can carry on with my thoughts lover boy comes along after pookie seems to have tried to calm gorgeous down. I look at him perplexedly when he says that we shouldn't be here but I also notice him trying to make the situation a lighter one. Lover boy isn't the kind of guy to having done those things, especially with how he is currently acting with baby girl, especially when he seems to be the one to comfort her. "It doesn't make it easier," I tell him with a serious expression before noticing that boss man actually has just arrived as well, or was he already here.
By the gods, the man seems exhausted, he is working too hard and he is working way too much, how can a guy who is working 25/7 even commit those crimes with whatchamacallit Force powers when he is on the brink of exhaustion. I really do look at him, not to the point of scrutinizing him but I do watch him momentarily in silence before noticing from the corner of my eyes that Jim'ee does enter the precinct, and I quickly let everyone know in a murmur, even if I know that gorgeous will not comprehend. "Non dire una parola." ~Do not say a word Whether they listen to me or not, and I do hope that every does listen to me because really this is too crowded really. "Until I review everything and get the files on my table, I have no comment." It is one thing to have heard things but I really am not going to comment until I have all of the findings of the ongoing case. I turn to look at the officers standing there and really I do look at them very jadedly and with an annoyed expression for even letting a reporter getting in here. Isn't there like a conduct or honor to never ever let reporters into their precinct?!

23rd Precinct
As they arrive at the precinct for the start of their shift, a pair of human detectives in plainclothes spot Jim'ee Olsen and his cam droid bolting into the front entrance. Exchanging a look, the detectives sprint up the steps, the male detective holding a hand up to let the uniformed patrolman that tried to grab the eager young reporter and missed know that they will handle the situation.
Reaching up and grabbing the back of the cam droid and turning it around so it will be recording the steps leading up to the front entrance rather than anyone inside it, C'laark Kent nods to his partner. The female detective, Lo'is Lane, puts a hand on Jim'ee's shoulder and tells him, "Come on Olsen, how many times do we have to tell you that you can't come in here? Turning to lead the reporter outside, Lois accepts the cam droid from Cl'aark, putting her hand over its lens as she says to Jim'ee, I'll walk you out," and leads the reporter outside to explain him, for the fiftieth time, where he can and cannot try to get interviews.
"Sorry about that folks, Cl'aark tells the AG and those with her, winking as he says, Happens at least once a week no matter how many times we try to set him straight," before turning to follow his partner and help her explain things to Jim'ee.

Lana could see that Elika was very sincere, although she really did want to be there, for her boss, for the AG, but first and foremost for Elika that. She could tell that the whole matter was affecting them one way or the other. Still she needed to show her support and she knew that there was no way that the Vice-Governor would actually kill people and if he did, she did not actually see him allow any witnesses to live and tell the tale. It was how she saw it, and it was how she interpreted it for having spoken with him a few times and noticing some distinctive mannerisms in how he carried himself.
23rd Precinct
Now there they all were and Lana could not help but to feel helpless at this point, she was watching Elika pace restlessly and she was even chewing her fingernail. Lana wished to have the correct word for this occasion but she did not and she knew that no matter what she may end up saying, only two people could comfort the architect, could comfort all of them really... There was the first one, she looked at him momentarily and noticed how he really was carrying himself as well. She did see him a few times in the past whenever he would head to her boss' office but she hadn't interacted much with him, but now that she could clearly see how he was acting around Crystal, she just knew that not only he truly cared for Crystal but also he seemed to not wanting to worry everyone else.
Crystal looked up when she noticed that Atlantis had made his way here and the first thought that rushed through her mind was to actually just run to him, but she did not and instead she frowned at what he had verbally said to begin with and then her frown turned into nothing really that discernible. She did not understand why to begin with and clearly she wasn't about to question him now verbally, he really must have had those reasons, and also he had said that it was partially concerning her? That was the part she really did not understand but she looked straight into his eyes before blinking once as if to tell him that she would do as he requested but there was no way she wouldn't want to hear the reasons why, because she did need to hear those reasons. Atlantis never asked for favors so to speak but when he did, it was because it was serious and because he had a very valid reason. Wrapping his arms around his neck before he even stood up, Crystal tilted her head on the side so that her lips were pressed against his ear. "Okay..." Crystal murmured faintly before releasing him but still she had that gaze that told him that he should explain sooner or later.
Remembering Lily's first sentence every since they got here, Crystal looked in her direction before glancing at Lana with a grateful smile for being here, but before she could say something about Lily's statement, Andros himself had shown himself and she looked at her boyfriend's brother seeing that he truly was exhausted, that exhaustion had nothing to do with him calling on the Force last night because the only people she had felt doing that were Mace and Atlantis. He sure did not look pleased and he had just said that same statement that Atlantis had said, one that Franz had figured Andros would say but it turned out that both of them said it, and somehow even in the midst of this chaos, it amused her somehow. But that little amusement did fade soon enough when she heard Lily's murmured ordered. Crystal furrowed her eyebrows and understood entirely.
Thankfully though some detectives were there to drag the reporter away and she let out a sigh of relief knowing that they might have averted another newsflash, Crystal looked at the detective who was doing the talking and then she finally looked at everyone and no one in particular before looking at both Andros and Atlantis. "We'll be seeing you both tonight?" Crystal asked after making sure that Jim'ee Olsen was far away from here. Crystal wanted and needed to be sure of that, she loved Atlantis unconditionally that was a fact but she also cared about his brother, and she wanted and needed to know that they would really be okay, plus Andros did need a break from his work. He has been working far too much lately.

23rd Precinct
Looking bewildered as well as mildly incredulous when Franz holds up a hand and tells her that she needs to have peaceful thoughts, Elikapeka nearly snaps at him to ask him to tell her exactly how he proposes that she do that with everything that is going on before, fortunately for them both, she sees his pointed glance towards Crystal and her expression immediately becomes one of guilty understanding. Closing her eyes, lifting her right hand to massage her temple, Elika nods to let Franz know that she has received the message he wanted to convey, and then does her best to at least get her anxiety down to a less pronounced level. Attempting to smile, knowing that she is failing miserably, when Franz makes light of the fact that Andros will more likely than not be displeased when he finds them all here, Elika nods when he then explains that Andros is not being placed under arrest, which comes as a relief, as does the reassurance Franz offers that no one in the UPD believes the absurd accusations that have been made.
In the spirit of trying to focus on something else as Franz suggested, Elika stops pacing and walks over to Delaana, resting her back against a wall with her hands tucked into the pockets of her trench coat and turning to offer Delaana a sincere smile as she says, "Thanks for coming along. You really didn't have to, but I'm glad you did. Resting the back of her head against the wall with a quiet laugh, Elika crinkles her nose and admits, I know it probably hasn't looked like it, she takes a hand from her trench coat pocket and reaches out to clasp Delaana's hand, but I am glad you're here. Giving Delaana's hand a squeeze, Elika releases it to take her spectacles off, taking a handkerchief from a pocket to clean the lenses as she says, I hate this waiting around."
Pushing off the wall to walk towards Atlantis when he comes into the precinct, Elika puts her glasses back on and frowns when he greets her by telling her that she shouldn't be here, and then tries to reassure her by revealing that he has been through worse situations in the past. "Where else would I be?" Elika asks him, trying to force a smile for his benefit, and then stands on her tip toes to clasp his shoulder comfortingly in a silent show of support before he walks away to speak with Crystal.
Arching an eyebrow with a small smile equal parts annoyed and amused when Andros, looking thoroughly exhausted, greets her with the same assertion that she should not be here that his twin had, Elika tells him, "And yet here I am all the same," his dark tone not causing her to regret having come in the least. Knowing that Andros would not welcome any kind of affection from her in the current situation than she would were their positions reversed, Elika settles for glaring back at him to show her support, trusting that he'll know she's in his corner and here for him whether he wants her to be or not. Before she can reply to Andros' suggestion that they leave, either with him and Atlantis or the intent to meet them later, a reporter runs into the front entrance and begins hurling questions at Lily, Andros, and Atlantis. A super helpful detective and his partner get the reporter out of the precinct quickly, after which Crystal asks Atlantis if they will see him and Andros later tonight, suggesting to Elika that the twins will be staying at the precinct for at least a while longer. Remembering Lily's suggestion that they take a back exit to avoid any reporters, Elika asks the Duros behind the desk for directions to any back ways out, and then walks over to Franz, reaching into his pocket for the keys to the speeder as she explains, "I'll bring the speeder around back, no one in the press knows me, so . . . shrugging rather than spelling it out further, Elika smiles at Delaana and waves for her to come along. Once they reach the speeder, Elika purses her lips as she opens the driver's side door, crinkling her nose as she tells Delaana, I just remembered something. I've never piloted one of these. Smiling sheepishly as she walks around to the passenger side, Elika hands Delaana the keys and asks, Please tell me you know how to pilot this thing?"
23rd Precinct - 3rd Floor, Conference Room 8
After Andros had left, Niyol made his way down to the room SEO Aninh and the other investigators have been working out of; since he will need to tell the Ranger about the change in plans with Andros anyway, the Kel Dor decides to take advantage of the opportunity to also deal with the source of their leak. Entering the room, the tall Kel Dor strides over towards the board where the evidence that has been collected so far is organized, studying it as he tells Aninh, The Vice Governor may not be available for those questions after all. He's asked that you contact him to make other arrangements. Frowning unseen beneath his antiox mask when he sees the files on Entin and Orlov, Niyol takes the flimsi sheets from the board and scans through them as he says, We appear to have a leak. Do you think it was someone on your team, or maybe someone in the OC unit? Placing the flimsi sheets on the table, Niyol slides them across to Aninh as, knowing the couple personally and considering Lyov a friend to both himself and the UPD, he asks her curiously, Why are you looking into these two?
Umgul City - Starport - Barloz-class medium freighter, the Pivane
Dropping her large rucksack at the foot of the boarding ramp leading up to the Barloz-class medium freighter she and her co-worker will be taking out, Cerise Reyer calls out to the Ithorian checking something out on the top of their ship, "Where we at with the pre-flight Viho?"
Once she knows what is left to do before they set out, Cerise picks up her rucksack and boards their ship. The blonde, curly haired Brosin is one of thirty eight beings employed by the Vilhjalmssons, and one of the five employees that know that flowers and gardening supplies are not the only things the twins ship into Umgul. Cerise makes her way to the cockpit of the freighter, grinning as she thinks of ways to spend the mini-vacation this job will be earning her since she will be temporarily trading identities with the bounty hunter Viho will be bringing back to Umgul in her place.
Once they have completed all their checks, fueled up, and filed their flight plan with Umgul's PTC, Cerise and Viho take the medium freighter out of the starport to begin their trip.

23rd Precinct
Franz looked at Elika with a faint smile, knowing that she understood what he meant. He guessed that it was one of the setbacks to having a close friend like Crystal who was very much attuned to the Force even though she seemed to not be looking like it definitely but all of them knew here, so he was grateful that Elika was trying at least. Although he did not get to say anything else further because Atlantis' arrival had prevented him from commenting further. He looked at his cousin and tilted slightly on the side telling him slightly through his gaze 'what can you do about that?'. Atlantis' girlfriend was bound to be worried about him, and her friends too would be here in support, not just for him but also for Andros.
And now came the serious part... Franz heard everything Atlantis was saying to Crystal first and foremost but still he kept an impassive expression on his features because not only he did not want to worry any of the women but he understood Atlantis' request at least order for Franz's case considering that he was mandated to Elika to begin with. Inclining his head subtly to tell Atlantis that he got the message loud and clear even though he did not understand really since there were no explanations but a promise to explain. Atlantis did have his reasons that he was certain of but now he really was wondering how and why he got to that conclusion to begin with?
But unable to continue with his thoughts, with not only Andros' arrival but also that reporter who was focusing onto mainly the higher ups on the planet, Franz did turn around to avoid the reporter's gaze or whatever because again he did not want to be investigated at all and he did move in a corner that would hide him to begin with anyways. It wasn't public knowledge at all but he was after all one of the councilors of the Mist Order but he liked it that people did not know that anyways. Franz looked at Elika with a dubious expression, especially when she reached for the keys in his pocket, he did understand her explanation but when they all thought about it also, no one really knew him either except the younglings back at the academy.
Franz nodded but still followed both of the women staying afar from them, because he still had to keep an eye on Elika, although he was using the mist to his advantage and was using it to mask his presence to condense it around him in a wide range. But on his way out, he overheard something, he couldn't tell the who or why they were in question but Andros' name had been brought up by a person. Although the 'two'? Franz could only guess that the ones being spoken about are the same people who Atlantis had brought up. They really needed to get away from here and soon, which was why he made his way entirely to the airspeeder and overheard what Elika had asked to Lana.
"I have heard what you have said, but no one really knows me either. So..." Franz looked from Elika to Lana knowing that probably he might have spoiled the moment but still his job was still his job. "We should probably take it on the landing pads above the building." Franz extended his hand in Lana's direction to indicate that she had that choice to either give him the key or not and whatever her reply was, he either did get behind to let her pilot or he got in front to pilot before leading them above of the building on the landing pads there. He focused onto the first person he could easily track, which was Andros and told him privately. Above...
