When Franz says that he is as much at fault as she, Elikapeka gives him a look that lets him know that she appreciates the fact he is trying to assume some of the blame even while she knows without a doubt that she is solely to blame; there doesn't seem to be any point in arguing however, and so Elika lets the subject go while reminding herself to try and avoid letting her self-doubt and anxiety lead to any similar situations in the future.
Having been to TaSpa! on a few occasions now, Elika is accustomed to the owner's eccentricities, and even appreciates them as she has come to think that he has an uncanny knack for picking treatments and therapists for his customers that suit their personalities and needs. When she sees that the owner has selected the Weequay therapist, Nkechi, that she has had once before for example, Elika is quite happy with the choice since she thoroughly enjoyed her last session with him. Nkechi does not disappoint in the slightest; the Weequay remembering Elika's preferences for everything from the type of music she enjoys to the fact she doesn't particularly enjoy any conversation while being treated. After the massage session has concluded, Nkechi continues pampering her, giving Elika a towel to use as a pillow in the sauna after she takes a warm shower, and reminding her to drink plenty of water while in the steam room.
Arching an eyebrow when she enters the steam room just as Crystal is describing where someone, most likely Atlantis, wears their lightsabers; which seems like an odd conversational topic, but Elika assumes there is some reason it had come up, and so settles herself comfortably on a bench without interrupting the conversation. After she has taken a few sips of water, Elika tightens the belt of her robe and lays down on the bench, arranges the towel beneath her head, and then closes her eyes to maintain the feeling of utter relaxation that the massage has left her with.

"Yes, I actually did." Franz replied when he opened his eyes to look at Lily with a faint smile. He was so relaxed and to think that he had never done that before at all, it was new for him but he did enjoy the treatment. It wasn't something he would have done to begin with considering that it was decadent for him, but now he was playing with the idea that maybe he should come here to unstress or whatever. Lily's next question though it wasn't something he really expected to be asked about, but Crystal took care of the answering part for him. He inclined his head to confirm that it was the truth concerning Atlantis' lightsaber locations.
Although with Elika's arrival, he did not comment further than that, since after all he might have known where that conversation might have led so he did not say anything further.
Grabbing his bottle of water to take a sip from it, Franz closed his eyes momentarily knowing that he probably should be speaking more. SO he thought of something for a moment before he opened his eyes again and put the water down glancing at the three women he was with seeing that Crystal and Elika were lying comfortably on the bench looking very relaxed, Lily too seemed relaxed.
"So this is your secret to unwind too..." Franz chuckled faintly before shaking his head slightly although he did sink further on his seat until he completely decided to lie down too since there really was no point of just sitting down when he could very well lie down lazily and think of nothing in particular. Although he did look in Elika's direction mainly before saying. "Hey Peka, thanks for treating me to this place." Franz said playfully before looking at everyone and to no one in particular really. "Thanks for dragging me also, but I gotta wonder, did you ever manage to even get Lucy to join you here?"

Atlantis was still smoking his cigarette while he listened attentively to Mace. He wasn't surprised to find out that Andros had reacted the way he would have under these circumstances. These were grave allegations but the Vice-Governor had been quickly exonerated and when he did read the press that very morning, after he was done changing, he saw that no names were spilled and really would even half of Umgul's population believed it if Andros' name had been cited? From what he knew, Raan Jade and Andros Vyridian turned and were turning this planet into a better one. But alas, Atlantis also knew that it was easy to manipulate the masses when induced with fear.
Maybe that was the play all along?
Atlantis shrugged slightly and finished his cigarette before tossing the butt into a nearby disposal. Looking in Mace's direction when she told him that he looked like Andros right about now because of his overall outfit, Atlantis smirked faintly as her question and knew or understood what she might have been suggesting. "Perhaps, but I cannot really emulate my identical twin correctly. I don't think so anyways..." Atlantis said thoughtfully.
Andros acted and spoke a certain way, and even if they did look alike physically, their mannerisms were at the opposite, although it was worth a try, and maybe he should see how he would fare with that at the precinct. Speaking of the precinct, Atlantis glanced at his wrist chrono and noticed that it was a little earlier than noon, than their supposedly meeting again. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, Atlantis adjusted his coat and buttoned it all before opening his eyes again to adopt that famous glare Andros was known for but also the uninterested expression. "Let's see, shall we and maybe I will get to meet the one that spoke my brother's name as the culprit."
Considering that no one in the precinct there seemed to be sensitive, they wouldn't know that his signature was lacking, the only way it would be a give away was if and when they do notice from maybe his mannerisms, his expressions and just the way he spoke, that he wasn't Andros but was in fact Atlantis.
23rd Precinct
It was with a determined and glaring expression that he pushed the precinct's door open, he looked downright pissed considering that anyone with Andros' connections would know that he had been cited as the culprit, so Atlantis sneered and found an officer asking him tersely and dryly. "The detectives, where are they?" Atlantis gave it all of his might to turn his expression into a darker one and he did not even give a thanks or anything when the officer pointed down the hallway to the command center.
With determined steps, Atlantis made his way there still pretending to be Andros and he found the Lorrdian but also the Rodian detectives right there. "The being that accused me, where is he?" Andros wouldn't probably say good morning or whatever, not even a hello, which was why Atlantis kept being in character as he looked darkly and glaringly at both of the detectives. He had a sneer on the corner of his lips and looked like he preferred to be doing something better than to make his way here in the precinct...

“Probably. . .” Said Mace thoughtfully at the chances of Atlantis meeting the person who pointed Andros as the culprit. The fact that Atlantis was currently emulating his very own identical twin, maybe that would work into potentially steer the investigation a certain way. . .
But Mace wasn’t holding her breath, either way yes the Jedi of this planet did offer their help, or at least Atlantis did when Madieke and Nazani came to the academy last night, but some of their methods were very unorthodox and they rarely listened to orders as a whole anyways. . . They really had to outline on who was leading that investigation, if it was the Ranger, the Detectives or even the Jedi.
For the first and the second, actually Mace found no troubles there, she knew that despite some of their reluctance to pursue this or that lead, it did not mean that Mace wouldn’t do so on her own especially when it was a lead worth to pursue, but for now she followed Atlantis into the precinct with a grave expression on her features.
23rd Precinct
Mace showed no other emotions when she stepped into the precinct right after Atlantis who was pretending to be his brother. She knew he could play the part one way or the other but she was certain that those who really knew Atlantis and Andros very personally and very intimately they would be able to tell that the Andros right now wasn’t really Andros but his older brother, Atlantis.
The glare was there, the sneer and everything else, even his way to address people. It wasn’t until he followed further Atlantis that Mace found that the Detective who was with them last night was there and Mace took a deep breath before looking at Atlantis but she addressed him like she would usually address Andros.
“Calm down, Vyridian. . .” Mace lifted her hand in his direction and shook her head. “Everyone here knows that you did not do a thing last night. . .” Leaving it at that, she let the detectives answer the question of the supposedly Vice-Governor before she moved closer to the board remembering that Atlantis had told her earlier that there had been some crimes but no Force user.
“We have been told that other crimes was committed a while ago relating a gang member or something. . .” Said Mace thoughtfully, she did not have the details at all, so she needed whoever to fill in the blanks for her. “Who were they? And did you find leads worth pursuing from the data that I have handed to you last night?”

Three ...? Lover boy must have his reasons, that I do not kno- ... Oh wait, yeah he can do that fun trick of summoning another him. I remember now! Which reminds me, and for that I look at baby girl mischievously. "Probably because he does that thing where there can be two of him, huh?" Wiggling my eyebrows before giggling, I have to ask this because that is just me. "Did lover boy ever summoned a doppelganger with you?"
I will probably get a glare from her, or whichever because yes that question of mine was blunt and besides it's for my curiosity's sake. But I am not holding my breath for that answer, considering that I do know baby girl and she doesn't necessarily kiss and tell and right now also considering that Elika has joined us, I can see that she definitely enjoyed her massage; Weequay or not. "Can someone please explain to me, why gorgeous always gets the same masseur who obviously satisfies her and you," I glance at baby girl knowingly. "And I always get different ones?"
Sure I feel relaxed and Cosimo always knows what we need but really constantly repeating myself on what I want and what I don't want it gets taxing. This time though, it is the first time that baby girl got a masseuse. I do not get into that for now, as I return my gaze onto pookie with a warm smile. "I do hope that you have asked the person who treated you, that way you can request the same person for whenever you come back here." I am probably letting him know something he might have already know but it doesn't hurt, and I do know that he is a Jedi and whether or not he is tempted to come back here in the near future, then good for him.
"This is definitely how we get into relaxation mode, with some shopping thrown too before or after, but really pookie, I am glad that you have enjoyed the treatment, and it is not done." Winking at him playfully before rolling up my own towel because I am feeling lazy and I just want to lie down which is what I do before placing my arm over my eyes to continue this relaxation. "Pedis and manis later right? Followed by lunch or something?" My voice somewhat fades more or less because the sauna is actually making me sleepy or I am just too relaxed to move or even think about later.
"Also, please do warn me whenever Cosimo approaches, at least before he barges in like he often does, so that I do not fall off the bench, please." I do not sound convincing, that much I know or maybe my voice just trails sleepily. Did I even say that correctly, ugh whatever ...

The moment she got Franz's confirmation about Atlantis' lightsabers, Crystal was about to add something else but she felt that Elika was nearby and had also arrived. She wasn't about to bring the attention to Elika and talk about that particular crystal that her man had handed to the architect after he had pretty much torn apart his hilt because, for one maybe Elika would feel guilty and second she did not like the attention at all. It were the reasons why Crystal just dropped that matter and laid back down on the bench comfortably.
Lifting barely her head to look at Lily with narrowed eyes, Crystal laughed softly soon after before rolling her eyes. "No, I never had a threesome with two Atlantises, because one that is just weird and two, there are better things to use the Force for, so no it never happened and it will never happen." Crystal said truthfully and sincerely. Ever since she became attuned to the Force, she had more respect for it, not that she did not before but she understood that it was also a part of her and the abilities that the ones that were attuned to the Force had to use them responsibly.
"I have nothing to complain about my masseuse..." Crystal said sincerely, come to think of it the three times she had been here, they were always different, that much she could remember but she definitely favored the latest one if she was asked about it or if she was honest about it. "Just pick one next time, if you ever got your masseurs' names..." Crystal said indifferently not that she did not care but it was more due to the fact that she was so drowsy right now and she felt completely relaxed, just like everyone it seemed.
Crystal fixed her towel beneath her head and got even more comfortable after making sure that her robe was tied up tightly, also at the same time she was listening to Franz who had thanked Elika, or them in general for dragging him here. Waving her hand as a no problem, Crystal looked at Franz with a knowing expression. "Nope, it was always the three of us and Lucy never did join us." At least from what she remembered, Crystal couldn't recall Lucy being here with them, but then again whenever she had some downtime, Crystal was sure that Lucy was spending that with Forcias, like always.
"Unfortunately baby girl, I won't be much help for the warning because I am too plugged off to know what is really happening around." It wasn't just that, insofar unless a person was attuned to the Force or unless she had been seen using it, only a few knew that she was in fact a Force sensitive, and she often kept that on the down low, never really exhibiting that she was attuned or really trained in it.

Nemes is glad that he emptied his bladder not ten minutes before Councilor Vos and the man he takes to be the Vice Governor of Umgul arrive, the sight of the latter making him feel like he would be in need of a change of shorts had his bladder not been empty. Struck speechless when the faux Vee-Gee asks where the beings that accused him are, Nemes stammers, "Uh, I, that is, well, um, they . . ." before, reaching up to adjust his tie, he looks over to his partner for help and tries to get a hold of himself.
Nazani, better under stress than her Rodian partner, looks mildly perplexed - since it makes little sense to her that the Vee-Gee would be here with them when their chief would be a more logical choice as a go-to for someone in his position - but answers in a collected tone, "We kicked them loose, sir. No reason to hold them, nothing to charge them with. They're both under surveillance though, in case their movements or communications lead us closer to solving this thing. Her eyes narrow imperceptibly as she watches Vyridian - her Lorrdian ancestry, which enables her to read body language and vocal inflection with an uncanny accuracy, making her feel as though something is off in his mannerisms even though, for the moment, she cannot put a finger on what it might be given that she has never met the Vice Governor personally. Councilor Vos' tone when she speaks to the alleged Vice Governor similarly rings a warning bell, something in it sounding false to Nazani's ear. Two street level members of one of Sike's lieutenant's gangs, Nazani answers Vos evenly, watching both her and Vyridian closely to try and figure out why she has the sense something is not quite right. The two females from the spaceport seem like the most likely suspects from the data you were able to get, the curvy Lorrdian continues, SEO Aninh will probably have the resources or contacts to dig further into their backgrounds. The other matches don't fit the overall profile for one reason or another, but we'll probably want to get their whereabouts last night any way. We can eliminate one already since their whereabouts are in the holonews, a female Zeltron named Helaine Orlov that held a fundraiser or something last night. Funny thing though, her boyfriend was a pretty well-known competitive duelist when he was younger, Nazani notes in a tone suggesting that she is mulling that fact over. Drumming her fingers on the table as she leans over it, Nazani mutters, I hate coincidences, more to herself than anyone, and then glances at her wrist chrono and notes, SEO Aninh and her deputy should be here soon, they might have a different take on the info. Looking at Vos, still watching both her and Vyridian closely but unobtrusively, Nazani asks curiously, since Vos' question makes it sound as though she had not gone over the information, You didn't look through the information? Or you just didn't have any thing jump out at you?"

Elikapeka only just barely manages to keep from laughing when Lily asks Crystal if Atlantis has ever used his Force abilities to create a duplicate of himself for a purpose Elika is quite certain the ability was not intended for, gathering from Crystal's answer that both she and Atlantis have a respect for the Force that makes such a use of the abilities It can grant unthinkable; which Elika can easily understand just as she feels pretty sure that Lily was not seriously asking, just being Lily and voicing a random thought like she can often do.
Elika has her own theory as to why she always seems to get the same therapist - her customary discomfort in most social situations probably easy for someone as perceptive as Cosimo to see, which would make giving her a familiar therapist logical given his desire to make his customers as comfortable as he can, while Lily and Crystal do not exhibit any shyness that would suggest they might also prefer a familiar therapist - but she keeps it to herself and simply says, "I actually like that I always get Nkechi, and suggests, If you have a preference, I'm sure that they would arrange for you to have a certain therapist as well. Realizing that Lily just suggested the same thing, Elika looks over at her and smiles as she tells her, Which beautiful already pointed out, so ignore me."
Shaking her head to show that Crystal is correct when saying that her lieutenant has never come with them to TaSpa!, Elika tells Franz, "I don't get the impression she would ever socialize with me, shrugging as she adds, She doesn't seem like the type that would mix her work with her social life, you know? Laughing, Elika crinkles her nose and points out, That and I am pretty sure that I am not her kind of people anyway," since she is fairly confident that her lieutenant has little patience with those that, like Elika, are not particularly confident themselves.
Smiling when Lily reminds everyone of Cosimo's habit of popping up unexpectedly and often starting everyone, Elika purses her lips in thought as she tries to gauge how long they usually spend in the steam room before the owner appears to usher them off to their next part of the experience, and says, "I think we usually have about twenty or thirty minutes after the last person arrives beautiful. Turning without sitting up to look towards Franz, Elika smiles at him as she tells him, I'm glad that you're enjoying yourself, then asks, Should we start inviting you to all our girl's days? Crinkling her nose, Elika notes playfully, Of course, we'd have to start calling them something else then, wouldn't we?"

Lily must have been kidding asking that question to Crystal right? Franz had his eyes wide like saucers and he just couldn't believe that he was hearing that right now, although he was sure that Lily was joking and that perhaps Crystal just answered that question to settle it once and for all, Franz had his lips pursed because he really wanted to laugh. "I think I am officially traumatized." Franz said with a faint laughter before shuddering on the spot as he is just joking anyways, he is sure that he had heard worse.
"Duly noted, although I never got to ask her name... I should probably have." Franz smirked at the thought considering that he did find his therapist very beautiful, but then again he figured that this wasn't the time nor place to even ask such things, but if he ever did come back here, he wouldn't mind to get another one, as long as they were easy on the eyes for him. For now, since his questions were being answered and he found out that Lucy never really joined them at all here, Franz might have known the reasons why but he would never even say that at all. Although Elika said what he had been thinking more or less.
"One of these days maybe Lucy will let loose if you put her in a right setting." Franz said with an amused grin before shrugging slightly. But Franz smiled soon enough hearing Elika's words, and he smiled sincerely at her before chuckling faintly. "Um, well see... Okay, yea sure I'd like that." Franz said sincerely before inclining his head, although he did not know if when his mandate ended, he would really have the time, or just do nothing but at least he had this type of outlet to relax if he ever needed it in the future...

Atlantis couldn't care less about what had happened to the one who had incriminated Andros to begin with, to him the victim or the witness was just as useless although maybe someone could take him through a trip down in memory lane. Andros would be the perfect candidate for that, and quite honestly, he remembered Andros being the best interrogator back in their CorSec days. Atlantis might have to call on his brother at some point or just be thought that technique he used back then. For now Atlantis' features did not relax, he was still very much in character, and that was to glare and just look at the board very darkly although he could tell that his impersonation might not hold at all, also he was just feeling out of place.
So he dropped it, he just dropped it by unbuttoning his coat and relaxed his posture. "I will actually need to be seeing the ones you have kicked loose, Detective." Atlantis finally said before he lifted his hand and looked at the Rodian detective before looking back at the Lorrdian with a guilty as charged expression. "I apologize inspectors." Atlantis finally said before looking at the Rodian with a very noticeable smile. "I am Atlantis Vyridian, the Vice Governor is currently at his office and requested nothing whatsoever."
Atlantis left it at that before he glanced at Mace and remembered that Nazani had spoken of two street level of Sike's lieutenant but also he was surprised to find out that Helaine, Lyov's partner was one of those said suspects. But Nazani did not sound convince, and he was pretty sure that Mace really did take a lot at the data, unlike him last night considering that he had been spending time with his girlfriend and her friends along with his cousins.
"Detective, let me ask you something." Atlantis began to say, maybe both of the detectives were still holding a grudge against him for impersonating the Vice-Governor but he could revisit that later, and he would explain that later if the occasion did come. "What is your ancestry? I am sure that thanks to that but also your deductive skills, you knew deep inside that I wasn't Andros at all, now," Atlantis took a deep breath and looked upwards. "You have said Zeltron, what do you know about that specie? Who was with her all night long, factually? Invitees who can very well be too drunk to notice that she could have been in and out? Or maybe someone was influenced to do those deeds while at the fundraiser? As much as I am concerned, you have just said that you did not like coincidences, and I do not believe in those. Follow your guts, and use your background to look beyond what is right in front of you." Atlantis suggested to her, and yes maybe he was lecturing her. He was still a Jedi and most of the time people thought that he always jumped to conclusion from nothing at all.
But there was always something and he knew that he had to keep up because out of the people present here right now, he wasn't the best at it, the Kiffar Master was.

Mace still had her eyes on the board when Nazani asked her that question about looking over the information or not. It was still with that placid expression that she had ever since she walked into that precinct. “Quite the contrary, detective, I did check the info and I wanted to hear what you were thinking.” Said Mace thoughtfully and she figured that she heard exactly what she needed to hear. It didn’t go unnoticed to hear that Nazani might have been perhaps looking closely at Atlantis, but then the man had revealed that he wasn’t the Vice-Governor at all.
“Atlantis,” Said Mace finally when the man had told the detective to follow her guts, it was still a lead after all and if the origin of the crimes wasn’t there, then they probably had nothing to hide, either way still, the law dictated that they would be needing a warrant. “You should check out the surrounding areas of those private estates. You still have a little less than twelve hours, right?”
Mace wasn’t even looking at the Grandmaster while she addressed him, it was no offense intended, it was just the fact that she was still thinking about the two other victims. Remembering that brief glimpse from Ayla’s mind when she had gone to Andros’ office, Mace looked back at the two detectives with a dubious expression. “Sike is now gone, but how did he originally manage to get ahold of so much power?”

Evident. Rapport. Candidate.
Police station caf almost always tastes like crap, which is why Madieke arrives at the precinct with a thermos of caf she brewed for herself. After having a cigarette while waiting for Nuala, who had insisted on riding her swoop bike rather than speeder pooling, to meet her outside, Madieke leads the way into the precinct. Leaning against the back wall of the room they are using as their operation center when it becomes evident they have arrived in the middle of something, Madieke and Nuala listen as Atlantis and then Mace speak. Madieke isn't sure why Atlantis would have tried to pass himself off as his twin with the detectives, a move that seems uncharacteristically prickish of him to her. If his intent was to demonstrate that by acting like his twin he could be mistaken for Andros by those that don't know the two of them well, something Madieke is sure everyone in the room is intelligent enough to have figured out on their own, there are easier ways to have done so which wouldn't risk causing more mistrust and tension in her little team than is probably already simmering given what she has observed. Mace's cold demeanor and habit of not sharing her thoughts with the other members of the investigative team isn't likely to help either in Madieke's opinion, and she herself could probably stand to put her cards on the table more often if Nazani's comments last evening are any indication.
"Good afternoon, Madieke says, forcing more cheer into her tone than she is used to in an effort to start building some team rapport before things get to the point where it is no longer possible to do so. Looking at Nemes, Madieke reminds herself to express her thoughts in full sentences rather than the fragments she often uses instead as she asks, Can you ask the officers surveiling the two witnesses to bring them back in please? Madieke is not sure that there is anything useful to be gained from either of the witnesses, or what Atlantis hopes to accomplish by interviewing them since he did not bother to explain his request, but figures there isn't anything to lose in letting him do whatever he has in mind. Addressing Nuala, Madieke asks, Do you think you can get an invitation list of the benefit Entin and Orlov held last night? Someone in the press is bound to have one. Interviewing the guests will be time consuming, and will more likely than not only reveal that the Zeltron was seen or assumed to have been present throughout the evening, but being thorough never hurt an investigation. Answering the question Atlantis had posed about the Zeltron species, Madieke shares the results of her research, Zeltrons all have the ability to emit pheromones at will that make them more attractive and likable, and they also have a low level telepathic ability that enables them to project emotions onto others, or to read the emotional state of others. Neither of which, she points out in reference to Atlantis's comments, gives them the ability to make anyone do something out of character or against their will. Zeltrons also tend to avoid negative emotions like anger or fear, making Orlov an unlikely candidate for our murder if you subscribe to the theory all members of a species are exactly the same. Add in the fact that she would have had to influence a Force user of the skill level required to have committed the crimes last night that was conveniently on the guest list, and I'd say we're in even more unlikely territory. Nothing in Orlov's available background suggests a skill in dueling or that she possesses any level of Force sensitivity, and her history since she and Entin relocated to Umgul consists predominantly of charitable works. Her high public profile also makes it unlikley that she would be able to leave an event she was co-hosting without someone there noticing. From what I've seen in the press, she is practically glued to Entin's side at all times, and if he was seen without her at their own party the press would probably have a field day. Madieke shrugs, We can check into her background more, but I think it's a waste of time when we have two other suspects that fit our profile more closely." The fact Entin was a duelist is, in Madieke's opinion, a simple coincidence. Unlike Atlantis, Madieke thinks that assuming every coincidence has a deeper meaning is naive. Sometimes a coincidence is just that, a coincidence, and everything there is on Entin and Orlov makes Orlov's involvement seem highly unlikely in her opinion.
Walking over to look at the board while Nuala sits and powers up her laptop dataterminal, Madieke hopes to set an example for the Jedi as she fills everyone in on what she took from the data Mace acquired and what has done about the two suspects she had mentioned, "I think Tuain, the bounty hunter that left Umgul last evening, is our most likely candidate. Mar'shayal, the other physical match for our suspect, is probably just a drifter based on what little we have learned about her so far, but since we also can't discount the possibility that is just a good cover for her real work, I have Rangers that operate near or on Juvex and Nar Shaddaa tracking them down or digging into their backgrounds. Once I hear from them, I'll fill you all in and we can decide what needs to be done, if anything, from there. Looking at Nazani, remembering Mace's question about Sike, Madieke prompts her, What can you tell us about how Sike managed to build such a successful organization?"

23rd Precinct
Nemes looks confused when Atlantis drops the impersonation of his twin and announces who he is, and then looks over at Nazani with what passes for a what-the-frak expression on a Rodian's face - which looks to the uninitiated a lot like their usual expression, usually mistaken for surprise.
Nazani shrugs to confer to her partner that she has no clue what purpose the deception served either, then tells Atlantis in a clipped tone, "Lorrdian," when asked about her ancestry, knowing that it is probably her overall frustration with the Jedi duo's disconcerting habits that makes her find his subsequent speech about how she should look at things come across as condescending. Listening to Councilor Vos' answer about whether she had looked at the information from the space port and census data, Nazani waits for a moment in vain for the woman to add her thoughts as to what she made of it, then laughs in a combination of annoyance and amusement under her breath when the Jedi, apparently typically for her, does not add anything about what conclusions she might have drawn. Councilor Vos' suggestion to have Atlantis try and repeat his trick with the mist seems like a colossal waste of time - the sheer size of the area he would have to search in hopes of finding a trail would make the affair akin to looking for a needle in a haystack given that they do not have a known location to start from as they did previously, and the mental energy and focus he would need would be enormous unless they lucked out and found a trail - and Nazani isn't sure how the power works, but she had the impression their suspect would have had to passed through the mist being examined; something that the passage of time seems to make unlikely if not impossible since winds, activity, evaporation, and innumerable other factors would probably at least decrease the likelihood of finding the specific trail they would need. Last night's lack of strong winds, the relatively short passage of time, and the fact Sike's residence was situated such that the mist would not have moved a great deal prior to their arrival probably made exercising the power as successful as it was, but Nazani can't be sure she understands the power well enough to argue the point, and so says nothing.
SEO Aninh's arrival makes Nazani take a deep breath and mentally prepare for more frustration, but when the Ranger starts talking, she seems to be making an effort to be more forthcoming than she had been previously; though Nazani can tell from her body language and tone that Aninh is straining herself to do so. Aninh fields the question about Zeltrons well, hitting the points Nazani had been planning to make; and it seems pretty clear that she doesn't feel Orlov is worth looking at too deeply. Zeltrons are not typically an aggressive species, and while there are exceptions to every rule Nazani finds herself agreeing that Orlov doesn't fit their suspect profile despite the fact Atlantis seems to feel otherwise.
"Sure thing," Nemes, still annoyed by the pointless charade he and his partner had been subjected to, says when asked to have the witnesses brought in for questioning, walking from the room to tend to that matter with his hands stuffed into his suit coat pockets.
Walking to the stim-caf pot and pouring herself a cup, Nazani answers Councilor Vos' question after Aninh reminds her of it, "Sike's success is attributable to a few factors. One, he keeps his people happy, ensuring their loyalty and silence. He pays them well, promotes good performers, takes care of them and their families when they need it, and he probably weeded out any potential problems early on. Stirring her caf after adding powdered creamer, Nazani goes on, Two, he has a way to get spice, weapons, and whatever else he needs onto Umgul that we have not been able to track or shut down. We suspect that he has also employed off world talent of a high caliber in the past when rivals gave him trouble, suggesting he has contacts outside of Umgul, or knows someone that has such contacts. After taking a sip of her caf and grimacing at the usual bland taste, Nazani continues, Three, he has . . . realizing she should be referring to the Bothan in the past tense now, Nazani starts over, He had an impenetrable accounting system that allowed him to conceal the proceeds of his illegal operations within legitimate business operations, suggesting he had a way to launder his credits. He paid all his taxes on time too, she adds with a tight grin, so we couldn't even get him on that. Four, he never allowed conflicts with rivals to escalate to the point there were civilian casualties. Rubbing her right temple, Nazani concludes, He knew how to avoid or survive scrutiny, and once he could afford it, he chose his clientele with the same care he selected his associates."

Laughing when Franz says that he is traumatized, Elikapeka notes jokingly, "Well, Atlantis will be very happy to hear that, and then looks over at Franz and says playfully, I'll try and make sure that you aren't traumatized any further though, so let me start by suggesting that you cover your ears and sing to yourself or something whenever Lily starts talking. Reaching behind her head to adjust the towel more comfortably, Elika says, We can ask for your therapist's name on the way out, or maybe when Cosimo barges in here to let us know it's time for the next treatment. Smiling when Franz says he would like to join them in the future for their spa visits, Elika nods as though the matter is now officially decided, and says, I'd like it too, so it's settled, from now on we'll have girls and Franz days out."

Franz pouted when indeed he realized that Atlantis will be happy to hear that they successfully managed to traumatize him. "But if I do cover my ears and start singing to myself, which I do not necessarily do silently." Franz said with a playful smirk, although he is somewhat telling the truth there, but that wasn't the point and he had one to make. "How can I build up my immunity if I always end up pretending that I don't hear a thing especially when it sounds like each time there will be a spa session, I shall be a part of it?"
Although the fact that he should be asking the masseuse's name later, that was really tempting but... There wasn't really a 'but' there so he settled for a nod with a warm smile before remembering that this was henceforth going to be called girls and Franz days out. "I can already tell that Ryan and Atlantis are going to be jealous, Ryan even said earlier that if I weren't his cousin he would have punched me for being here with all of you." Pretending to shudder on the spot, Franz cast a glance in Crystal's direction and smirked knowingly. "The punching does run in the siblings..."

If there had been a time or place for Atlantis to feel bad, it would have been one of these times but he had to omit all of that for the time being and maybe next time he met again the two detectives he'd offer them better coffee, or even a drink. Right now though, time was of the essence and he admit to going out of character by trying to pass up as Andros although he admitted also that he chose the wrong moment and the wrong time. The more he looked at the situation and the more he listened to everyone expressing themselves that Helaine was very unlikely to be the culprit, he actually wasn't that convinced just yet. But he'd keep his reservations for the time being for himself and just keep on thinking. Yes it was true that the usual Zeltron shied away from negative emotions and conflicts. They were first and foremost lovers but if and when they were pushed they could be great warriors, even a better one he was sure if they were attuned to the Force.
"But that is the thing, Madieke, I do not subscribe everyone to their given specie..." Atlantis said thoughtfully before taking a deep breath, the press, right the press, having been subjected to that a whole lot in the past until that said injunction about him and about his girlfriend, the press was always looking for something, and it also could be easily manipulated if and when needed. He knew people that could replace memories if and when it was necessary, he had made several unorthodox choices back then and even up to this day he was sure that he was still making several unorthodox choices, but now he figured that if the Rangers and the Detectives wanted to pursue what was actually worth pursuing, then sure why not check that out? A lead was still a lead how ever many there were...
Atlantis leaned against the wall and closed his eyes for a moment to think about the other things that had been said, and the suggestions he had been given. These were one of those moments when he actually preferred to work on his own or work with someone who did not need to speak much to be convinced that much. These were actually one of those moments where he wished that his brother was his brother back then in CorSec prior to his change, prior to everything they all had become now. Now Atlantis was trying to prevent something that not everyone but one could fathom if Andros was pushed too much or too far. "Yes, I still have a little less than twelve hours, but I am no physicist, it would have moved and spending time to calculate the exact locations, that would be too tedious." Atlantis said thoughtfully as he opened his eyes and looked up the ceiling.
"I think I'll have a better chance at interrogating the two witnesses. Cognitive interview." Atlantis looked in everyone's direction and shook his head before rubbing his face in faint dismay. "But alas, I was never the stellar one at that, Andros was back then." Atlantis said softly as he looked at everyone. "I don't suppose that anyone of you do know how to do that, right?" He asked thoughtfully, the brain of a person from what he knew could retain things, smell, touch, whatever, anything about that assailant, how the victim felt at that moment. Just about anything...

It might have been a while since Mace actually did work with people that weren’t attuned to the Force. She also knew that she wasn’t making this partnership easy but really what was the point in even saying what she thought to begin with when most of them had already a conceived idea on who should be looked closely into. Maybe she looked or sounded arrogant and that was fine, she could live with that, she could live with however the others thought of her and she wouldn’t even blink an eye of indignation at all. . .
But right now, Mace knew that she had to learn to play again in a team that consisted of different beings and different methods. Also they all had the same goal, of course, how to get there and which way to undertake were divergent but, the galaxy still needed different type of people, right? Though she wasn’t getting into that currently since she was more listening to what Nazani was saying about how Sike even gained his powers and maintained it but also why law enforcement couldn’t quite catch him to begin with.
Clever. . .
Mace briefly inclined her head as thanks for Nazani’s description of Sike’s overall modus operandi, “Overall he was well respected then by his people.” Still though who would gain the most in that crime? External not so sure, internal not so sure either, then what? There were many things to take into consideration and maybe Tuain or Mar’shayal did that, either way, Mace knew that they had to start somewhere.
Glancing over at Atlantis when he suggested that the two witnesses be interrogated again, and that he wasn’t sure that following the mist would lead them anywhere currently, perhaps it wouldn’t and perhaps it would depending on where they started looking but he was calling the shot, so it was his call really. “For obvious reasons, Andros is out and so are you, and I have never done that,” But she knew a few who did, although she did not say it just yet and maybe either Madieke or Nazani had an idea. Although she really thought that the twins were out because they would only scare the witnesses so to speak. It was someone who they could trust and believe they were safe that had to interrogate them considering all the process of a cognitive interview, at least the Andros way. . .

Despite the fact that my question wasn't really a question that I needed an answer for because I already know in a way, and I just enjoy pulling baby girl's leg from time to time ... Or all the time, I am actually not surprise to know that lover boy never did that and will also never do it considering that even though he can be a little crazy from time to time, I do not see him disrespect the Force as a whole. "It's something that I had to ask, I am sure you understand, that way I will never ask it again, but still," I look at baby girl again with a mischievous smirk and giggle softly. "I am calling dibs to making out with you when you get a tongue ring again."
That is also a joke, there is no way that I would even think of making out with her because she is like a sister, but I do admit that the thought did cross my mind back then, but not anymore, especially not now when both of us are happily settled with our men, and we clearly both do not share anyways. Now, why would gorgeous say that we should ignore her? Nuh uh, impossible. "Gorgeous, there is no way I am ignoring the gorgeousness that is you, so, nuh uh not gonna happen at all." I tell her with a warm smile even if my tone does sound playfully I do mean it, and it shows when I actually blow her a kiss.
"Still, the Lieutenant should actually show that she knows how to have a good time and not keep being that statue whenever I see her." Looking in baby girl's direction, I reiterate my earlier statement. "When you invite the tall dark and handsome, Lucy has to be there or something, imagine this, Forcias shows up at home and she has just ended her day, I would think that her first idea is to call her hunk, but nope." I am probably not making sense, although in my twisted and crazy mind it does make sense ... Did I even make sense? Either way, I still think that the mood would even be better if Lucy did speak more with gorgeous. But I decide to not comment on that and just figure that it would be better when that plays out.
I am just too drowsy right now to come up with another explanation of some sort anyways, and it sounds like baby girl is as well since she is so out of it, thankfully though gorgeous reminds me when Cosimo does come back to rouse people. "Twenty or thirty, how long have we even been here?" I really am so out of it, but that right now doesn't matter because pookie just said that he would enjoy coming with us for spa day, which causes me to smile and even laugh considering that I have traumatized him earlier and now he is saying that he has to build up his immunity ... Right.
"Wait, wait, waiiiiiiiiit ..." I gesture doing a time out after I hear that Franz doesn't necessarily sing to himself silently. "If lover boy and boss man play instruments, do you sing with them?" I ask him seriously, it is a legit question right, he can answer or not if he wants, but right now I just end up shrugging and roll my eyes playfully. "Just tell Ryan, if he even thinks about punching you or even starts being jealous, that you'll tell on him, I'll tell him to sleep on the couch ..."

Crystal was amused when Franz said that he probably should have asked his masseuse's name. "Hang on," Crystal began to say as she raised her head slightly to look in Franz's direction with a teasing grin. "Did I understand correctly? Pookie finds his masseuse attractive?" Come to think of it, it was the sole person she had not seen, so for that Crystal was interested. She knew Nkechi, she saw Lily's masseur quickly but Franz's, she had no idea what the person looked like... Although she figured that she would get the name later if and when Franz or Elika ended up asking.
"Sweetie, we should definitely ask Franz's therapist's name later." Considering also that Franz did say that he would actually like to join them in the future, Crystal had obviously nothing against it, the more the merrier she guessed and also Elika was comfortable around Franz too, so that was good enough for her but also the fact that he really did seem relaxed and just unburdened by whatever had been on his mind.
Crystal glanced briefly in Lily's direction still amused by what she had been spouting so far, between the possibility of that said tongue ring that got Crystal to poke her tongue out at her childhood friend to the current matter about Lucy and Forcias. "You are impossible, baby girl." Putting her head back down onto the towel with a smirk on the corner of her lips, Crystal rolled her eyes playfully before placing her forearm back over her eyes. "Or you could simply do what you usually do..." She suggested knowingly before laughing softly. "Ask Lucy for her man's comm frequency, or get her to place the comm because we have to have him for dinner as a thanks." Either way, whichever route Lily decided to take, she was sure that she would manage to get Lucy and Forcias together back at their place and who knew, maybe Lily could in fact get Lucy to relax despite Elika's take on her relationship with her lieutenant. It was understandable definitely, but still it would make the ordeal bearable for both parties right?
"Pookie, think about your answer carefully about singing..." Crystal warned him teasingly because knowing Lily, she would ask him to actually sing, and that was really his choice if he wanted to do it or not. Although her childhood friend's threat for Ryan, that was actually hard to believe that Lily would exact that kind of punishment so to speak. "Right, as if you would let Ry sleep on the couch." Crystal said teasingly with a faint laughter.

Insistence. Player. Recall.
"Neither do I," Madieke tells Atlantis when he claims not to judge individuals by their species even though it seems to her that he has latched onto the idea that Orlov is somehow a likely suspect based solely on the fact that she is a Zeltron so far as she can tell. It is not the first time during the investigation that she has felt as though the Jedi are acting on the basis of information or intuition which they do not see fit to share with the rest of them, their odd insistence that the suicide of the holonews editor was suspicious despite all available information pointing to it being an open and shut case of suicide being another example. It is a lot, Madieke imagines, like playing a role-playing game where some of the players are using information they could not possibly have gained in character to make decisions in character. Or maybe the Jedi's connection to the Force is enabling them to see or feel something that a non-Force user cannot perceive. Either way, Madieke finds it frustrating that neither of the Jedi think that explaining the basis of their suspicions is worthwhile when there does not seem to be anything to support them based on the facts.
Setting her frustrations about team communication aside, Madieke unscrews the lid of her thermos and pours some of the caf into a cup as she does her best to build some kind of team rapport by adjusting her usual communication style as she tells Nazani, "Thank you for the analysis Nazani. It makes discerning possible motives a little more clear I think. We know Sike was interrogated before he was killed. Our killer could have been after the overall structure of the organization so they could assume control over it, or they could have been interested in how Sike was able to smuggle whatever he wanted onto Umgul. I'm thinking either an existing competitor hired some off-world talent to help their organization move up a notch, or a new local player wants to get their hands on a ready-made operation. Those two rival outfits that your OC unit is aware of, can you tell us any more about them?"
After taking a drink of her caf, Madieke moves on the subject of the cognitive interrogations Atlantis believes could be useful. "Both our witnesses were rendered unconscious in a very short period of time, she begins, so I'm not sure what they might recall that will help us. Maybe, Madieke thinks, that will invite Atlantis to explain his reasoning, or maybe he will leave her in the dark yet again. I'm trained in the technique, she continues, so I could handle the interviews. Voicing her thoughts aloud rather than keeping them in as she usually would, Madieke explains, The CI works best with cooperative witnesses, and criminals are not known for wanting to cooperate. Especially with law enforcement. Looking over at Nazani, Madieke asks, Do your CSIs wear lab coats? I could try and pass myself off as a shrink or doctor, see if that helps with cooperation."

Shaking her head when asked if she knows how to conduct a cognitive interview, Nazani says, "I've heard of it, but haven't been trained to do one. Hiding her amused smile by taking a sip of her awful caf when Aninh, who probably read in a manual somewhere that using someone's name is a way to establish a rapport, the curvy Lorrdian listens to the SEO's thoughts about possible motives attentively, nodding in agreement with her reasoning and answering the question Aninh had asked, Not much more than we've already talked about. The outfit operating out of Furgan would be our dark horse candidate since they stick to illegal gambling and loan sharking, but the one that our OC unit suspects operates out of the city center is into smuggling and narcotics. They could be looking to make a move, starting with getting Sike's smuggling operation out of him like you said. When Nemes gets back I can have him . . ."
Returning after arranging for the witnesses to be brought in, the Rodian asks, "Have me what? Wits are on their way, he informs everyone, They'll be here in about twenty minutes."
"I need you to get with your buddies from the OC unit, Nazani tells him, See what else you can get about the three outfits we talked about that are big enough to maybe start thinking they could take on Sike."
Nodding, Nemes says, "The ones here in the city, in Furgan, and in Ganterville? I'll see what the skinny is," he says with a sigh, wondering why he is suddenly the gopher.
"Oh, Nazani adds, And grab some doughnuts or something from the break room on your way back, huh? I'm hungry. Looking around at the others she asks, Is anyone else hungry?"
"Doughnuts, Nemes repeats dryly through his clenched snout, asking his partner in an annoyed tone, Anything else?"
"Oh yeah, Nazani says, glancing over towards Aninh as she remembers the Ranger had requested a lab coat, Can you borrow a lab coat from one of the crime scene geeks? Thanks."
Raising his hands as though imploring the heavens to explain why he has been partnered with such a demanding partner, Nemes turns and heads off to play gopher.
"He loves me, Nazani assures everyone, Really."

Elikapeka frowns as though seriously pondering the dilemma Franz faces about whether it is wiser to cultivate an immunity to Lily-inflicted trauma by subjecting himself to it in a kind of immersion therapy approach, or to attempt to avoid the trauma by covering his ears and singing, then tells Franz with playful solemnity, "I cannot make that decision for you pookie. You will have to make your choice and hope for the best."
Smiling when Lily assures her that she will not be ignored, Elika blows her a kiss in return for the one Lily had bestowed upon her, telling her, "I appreciate it beautiful. Reaching up and twirling a strand of her red hair around a finger while Lily speculates about the possibility of her lieutenant not being statue-like when not on duty, Elika muses, You may have a point about the odds of her loosening up increasing if Forcias is there beautiful. They would, she adds with an amused laugh, probably also increase exponentially if I wasn't there."
Nodding when Crystal suggests that they make a point of getting the name of Franz's therapist before leaving, Elika tells her, "I'm on it hon', leave it to me. Pursing her lips in thought when Lily asks how long they have been in the steam room so far, Elika guesses, Maybe five minutes or so? We have a bit left before we're due for the next treatment I think, and then snorts a laugh when Lily suggests that she would make Ryan sleep on the couch, nodding to show she agrees when Crystal suggests that the odds of that ever happening are slim, telling Lily, We're going to have to call your bluff beautiful, sorry, but there's no way you'd punish yourself to punish him."

Whining playfully at that conundrum, it really wasn't helping his case especially when Crystal was telling him to think carefully about his answer to singing to Elika telling him that he could only hope for the best right now. "You, ladies, drive a hard bargain..." Franz said as he jokingly sniffed, it was a fact it was deadly just being with the three of them. Just deadly but he figured that he had to sucked that in and really build up his immunity.
Maybe... He did not know. "I'll just go with the not going to sing route and building up my immunity to get used to this." Franz finally decided before looking at Lily who had asked him if he sang with the twins. He was quick to shake his head. "No, I do not sing while they are playing." For reasons that because he wasn't a singer at all and he really sounded bad in his own opinion.
He should probably drop that and just proceed to listen attentively to the plan that Crystal and Lily are devising to get the Lieutenant to loosen up. "Peka, I am sure that no matter what the situation is, with her being off duty, she still might relax one way or another with you there." Franz reassured her thoughtfully with a knowing smirk. Although his smirk turned into a grateful smile since Elika was going to make sure that she got his therapist's name, Franz purposely did not answer Crystal's question about him being attracted to the masseuse due to the fact that he preferred to avoid being teased by Lily if he did answer a yes to that...
Stifling at laugh when Lily said that she would get Ryan to sleep on the couch if the guy ever turned out to be jealous or even thought of punching, Franz really did not believe that Lily would do that indeed. "Well, uh yeah whatever works I guess?" Franz tentatively said considering that right now he didn't want to side one way or the other, either way whatever he said, he was pretty sure that he would get into trouble anyways especially with a three for one, that was shudder worthy for him.
Right now though, Franz just comfortably settled back on the bench and closed his eyes with a satisfied and relaxed grin once more. He really could get used to this...
