Darkness covered the abysmal world, the city lights glowing in their ugly yellow hues, further giving sight to the faint pollution that covered the moon. A planet-wide city, though a sad excuse compared to Coruscant. At least there, the treacherous and evil remained most fixed to the lowest levels. Nar Shaddaa, however, reeked of the scent of the vile and corrupt. One couldn't turn a corner without risk of running into some sort of trouble, be it a crime, a gang, or simply some rotting decay that could bring you to your knees. A horrendous world that served as the greatest hive of scum and villainy.
Although, despite its depressing status, it did provide some of the greatest work to some. As a breeding ground of the worst meant an endless supply of credits to those who could eliminate those who had warrants and rewards out for them. Somewhere out in the wide galaxy, someone had placed out bounties for another that, more often than not, always ended up back here. If people weren't afraid of upsetting the balance of gangs and crime lords, the credits were plentiful.
For a single group, that was a road none had issues treading.
The rapid, silent patter of footsteps raced across the rooftops, each footfall barely a whisper. Speed and grace aided the hurried person steps. Nothing seemed to hinder them, not the slightest gap or obstacle as they slipped over them in long, death-defying leaps or swift, efficient movements that couldn't even hold them for a second. From building to building, the person went, the darkness hiding them under the black cloak they wore. Anyone who strolled the street below seemed to grasp the person that moved over them.
It was only after minutes of running that the figure came to a stop, standing on the edge of a building. They stood one of the abandoned warehouses, though it wasn't as abandoned as one thought. Inside resided a man that ruled over one of the gangs. A man who had been distributing illegal drugs into the bars, giving patrons an unpleasant ride they could never forget. Thanks to this, a message was about to be sent, one that would make his underlings think twice about continuing his work.
Slipping down off the rooftops, barely a sound came from the person's landing, though they slipped behind a corner as a patrol passed. In the faint glow of the flashlight, the soft pale features of a female Arkanian Offshoot could barely be seen by any who might have been around. Waiting until the guard passed, the girl took off across the street that separated the building and a fence. In a single, effortless jump, she cleared the twelve-foot structure, landing silently on the other side. From there, she moved with the same swiftness that moved her along the buildings.
In mere moments, she had entered the warehouse, keeping the shadows the whole time. Guards continued their rounds. In the distance, she could the cries and moans of pleasure. From under her hood, she gave a disgusted scowl and see followed the sounds, ducking into each corner as a patrol passed. She was one with the shadows and with her skills and suit, she was silent in her movements. No suspected her presence, figuring that none had the gall to sneak into the base. A foolish notion that would end with serious consequences.
Reaching the door that led to the boss's room, she could hear the simple pants of those on the other side. If anything, it could provide all she needed to bring the man down without so much as a blink from those around him. Yet, the room couldn't be entered through the door. But a ventilation system was present that led directly inside. Reaching up a hand, she opened it with use of the Force and leaped inside, closing the hatch so as to not alert anyone.
It was but a short crawl until she had made it to his room. As sickening of sight as it was, the pair was facing away from her as they went at it. For now, she waited until the time was right. Several minutes it took before they began to reach the end. Silently, she opened the vent and dropped into the room, slipping up behind him. As the pair gave off that loud, final moan, her silver lightsaber came to life from behind him, blending in with their cries so as to not be noticed. For him, it was over as she retreated back into the vent.
As she progressed, it was nearly thirty seconds or more before she heard the scream. It brought a smirk to her face as she slowly and silently moved through the ventilation, pushing further along from the room before departing, using the guards rushing to the boss's chamber as her distraction. From there, her exit was just as easy, albeit slower. She was patient and cautious. No way was she about to let down her guard until she was completely clear. Only when she cleared the wall and made it back to the buildings nearby did she consider herself safe.
Raising a comlink to her ear, the first sounds finally escaped her lips.
Eidolon here. Mission accomplished.
Replacing her comlink, she vanished as quickly as she arrived, another successful bounty for the Wraith Assassin Guild.

A cloaked figure made its way through the streets of the Corellian Sector. Much time had been spent here over the past week or so, recruiting men and pirate gangs. The individual was easy, yet the question always laid with the groups, never knowing where they stood in joining others. Those who saw value joined him and his group, knowing together, they were a greater force when dealing with threats. The take that could be gained, especially from larger, joint targets was something that couldn’t be past up. Some refused, a choice that would eventually come to haunt them.
Already having arranged multiple meetings across many of the cantinas in the area, the day’s recruitment would take place at the Orange Lady. Three groups had agreed to meet up and see what the figure had to say. Reaching the bar, the cloaked figure entered and moved to the bar. Looking to the bartender, a smooth, synthetic male voice emanated from under the hood.
"I have some business to conduct here. I’ll take one of the back rooms. When these men should up, direct them to me." The figure slid some credits to the bartender to ensure none would bother him and gave him the names of those that would seek him out before heading to the back and waiting.

A Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft entering the Corellian sector flew past the residential area moving directly into the industrial core; the casino district. There were many a time that Gid thanked the God's on high for many a thing. Today was no different as she declared -Gid- "Ami'soycho kikalckki!!!" Her thanks being for the handy GPS tracking device installed in the ship. With the flick of a switch she the woman aspoke -Gid- "Ok...... Five brothers resort!" And it began talking....

The Battle of Nar Shaddaa Open to all Nar Shaddaa was far from Mandalorian and Vegemite space, but as a popular haven for smugglers and criminals, it paid to have eyes and ears there; and so it was with Clan Intelligence. Normally the day to day politics of worlds wouldn't be so much as a blip on the radar, but certain things caught the attention; an entire local district that had begun to show signs of cult behaviour, yet without any noticeable reaction from the gangs or the cartels having their territory infringed upon. That was worthy of note, it meant someone with serious muscle had taken up residence. The scout mission sent to the Smuggler's Moon hadn't taken long to discover the source of the disturbance; Sith. More precisely, a cult of Ren, as the Mandalorians of Clan Australis understood it, they were an offshoot of Sith philosophy. If the Yuuzhan Vong were Kaine's first and greatest enemy, the Sith were a close second, and the warriors of his clan had fought the darksiders many times across hundreds of battlefields. They had developed tactics and equipment to best counter Force using warriors, and they had married state of the art technology to the hardest edge of martial training. Kaine himself had taken personal command of the mission, using rank to bully any objections into silence. He would go in personally, with his Jare'rami'kade. They would be supported by a full battalion of rifle troops, with air support provided by the Clan. Intelligence had provided the locations of the enemy's sensor grid, though they had not been able to penetrate deeply enough into the city to locate defences. Kaine had been clear that the enemy were to have no warning, even if it meant going in somewhat blind. He had learned not to underestimate this enemy, and he did not intend to fight fairly. The cult's headquarters could not be more obvious; a giant obsidian and crimson tower in the center of the cult district. The mission counter ticked down as the X-wing half squadron came in on a low attack run through a deep canyon to the west of the Sith's central tower. All over the district, the city's defences lit up. They would be ready for the stupid attackers who thought they could sneak up on the Disciples of Ren. At the peak of the central Sith tower, the Grand Master of the order caught the alert. He was unamused, and his order was immediate. ' Destroy them.' As the X-wings came over the district, making strafing runs that looked effective, but mostly jinking and juking to avoid ground to air fire, Kaine ducked behind a wall with his squad, head down while the fighters roared overhead, seeming to barely clear the buildings. Two Gurlanin, a Ryn and a Besalisk; Eltanin and Darzeka, Saphi, and Bors, accompanied their Alor, all clad in various plates of black and green, and armed to the teeth. They all crouched in an alley as the dummy run came in and the city's defences all unmasked themselves. Before they could count to five, the fighters all screamed away to the east, leaving a silence in their wake. Then the bombers arrived. Four Werlaara-class stealth bombers, floating down from directly overhead, had all marked the locations of all the city's defences, quad laser emplacements, turbolasers, ion cannons, sensor grids, and shield generators. Cruising along miles above the district, they all released their ordnance and climbed back to space on minimal propulsion, having never so much as blipped any of the planet's scanners, nor those in orbit above. On the ground, some of the scanners did detect the falling bombs, but with no point of origin, they were dismissed as glitches or atmospheric interference, and besides, the bombs themselves were stealthy enough. The results of two dozen heavy penetrators landing almost simultaneously across the district were suitably impressive; though Kaine and his squad were all crouched and in cover. The shockwaves of the detonations pulsed dust and hot wind through the cityscape all around them, filling the streets with a grey fog. Kaine looked up and could see fires in the distance. The smoke from those could only add to the confusion. The last package dropped from orbit, looking like the modified cargo container it was. Fitted out with a basic heat shield for re-entry, thrusters, and a very basic control and guidance system, the box did what it was rigged up to do, drop from space to surface as quickly as possible, without destroying itself. Its arrival was what Kaine and his troops were waiting for. Saphi was the first to spot the Bral visually as it fell towards its target; the tower. A suitably Mandalorian invention, the Bral was armored and shielded, and filled with Ysalamiri. It could block out an area hundreds of meters in diameter from the Force itself, a great equalizer for the Mando'ade. As soon as it rocketed down toward the tower, thrusters flaring to slow its landing to a comfortable bump, the Mando'ade all sprang into action. The five warriors were dwarfed by the massive open space and the huge tower looming above them. A moment later, all hell broke loose as a horde of screaming cultists began pouring from the tower's base. Red lightsabers flickered to life inside the crowd, held by black robed acolyes, masked warriors of this cult of Ren. The Battle of Nar Shaddaa Open to all Kaine charged out of the alley and across the plaza toward the tower. The commandos of the Jare'rami'kade followed the Alor out of cover and into the open, boots pounding on the ferrocrete as they moved out. The Marshal's blood was up, and it was their job to keep him alive despite his insistence on risking himself in the front line. The sound of thousands of raging cultists filled the square as the army of the Cult of Ren came swarming out from their tower base, beginning to expand across the plaza as they charged directly toward the Mandalorians. So much for surprise, Kaine had time to think. The roar of dozens of drop pods screaming down from orbit threatened to drown out the screaming crowd. Drop pods landed with crashes and the smoke of thruster wash melting rooftops all around the square plaza. The enemy had shown their hand, and now Kaine was showing his own. His comm activated, he gave the go order. Now, Major, now's your time!
Major Sharpe Australis, commander of the 7th Battalion Redbacks, took the order and relayed it to his unit commanders all around the square. On each target building, Redback rifle positions formed up double ranks, overlooking the wide open space. Then the rifles began to bark out, masterfully disciplined aimed fire, each rifle wielded by a sharpshooter, working in two ranks to maintain an unending repeating boom of volley fire into the enemy horde. Each target could be selected and marked through the eyepiece worn by each soldier, so very few targets needed more than one shot, nor recieved one. The cultists and the acolytes among them were scythed down by accurate blaster rifle fire. The charge continued through the second and third volleys, but by the fourth, it had become somewhat ragged, the advance beginning to slow. Some cultists turned from the attack to fire up at the Redbacks, though they were swiftly cut down by the Australis' Clan's finest marksmanship on display from the sharpshooters. The enemy's numbers were being quickly and efficiently withered by the unending hail of volley fire from all around and elevated positions. Kaine's experienced eye picked out quick movement through the chaos of the battle, some of the Acolytes, clear of the Bral's effect this far from the tower, were using the Force to stay alive through the Redbacks' assault. Those were for the Jare'rami'kade, and their Alor, Kaine thought. Then Erymanthian was at his shoulder, and he sighted in on his first target, who was robed in black, dashing forward, red lightsaber to hand. The heavy rifle boomed against Kaine's shoulder, and the man's upper torso disintegrated as the heavy round detonated, pulping its target to a fine red mist, the remains of which fell backward like a puppet with its strings cut. Plasma blasts came past his head, incinerating a charging cultist, and the Acolyte beside him, as a laugh behind Kaine identified the source of the shots; Bors, enjoying himself immensely, the big Besalisk wielding a pair of plasma rifles in his four meaty hands. Nice. Said Kaine, before dropping to one knee, and swiftly emptying his clip inside ten seconds, each aimed shot taking a cultist or an acolyte down. Then the enemy were too close, and he eschewed reloading for returning his rifle to its magclamp on his back, with just enough time to draw the Darksaber from his belt and snap it into life to meet a descending vibroaxe. Now it was close work, blades and strength, with enemies all around. The sound of the rifle volleys seemed to fade to distance, as the Jare'rami'kade began to cut a path through the enemy, leaving only death in their wake. The Gurlanin twins, Eltanin and Darzeka, fought back to back with their blades flensing anything that came into range. Saphi moved in Bors' shadow, using the bulk of the huge Besalisk to hide her diminutive Ryn form, as she quietly picked off targets with her customized Xerrol Nightstinger, sending pellets through enemy heads silently and effectively. Bors had discarded his rifles, and now wielded a pair of axes and a pair of pistols, with which he dealt out close range and permanent death. At their head, Kaine was fighting one handed with the black bladed lightsaber, utilizing the repulsor on his free hand to push and pull enemies off balance before slashing the blade through them, switching the hilt from left to right, giving no quarter. Setting: Corellian Sector, cityscape, large open flat ferrocrete plaza surrounded by high buildings, at the far end of which stands a large obsidian and crimson tower Clan Australis forces engaging large Cult force of Acolytes and Cultists in the plaza.

The Battle of Nar Shaddaa
The ground battle had drawn the cultists out of their base by the thousand, and pinned down from three sides by volley fire from the Clan's rifles, they were being picked apart. The accurate fire had taken a significant toll on the Acolytes who directed and led the swarm of screaming lunatics, so much so that Kaine saw one or two armoured warriors exiting the tower. These would be the leaders, the senior members of this cult, they were far more dangerous prey, and they were the ones he wanted to take down. A comm message caught his attention as he bisected a charging cultist, dropping below the man's axe swing and slashing the Darksaber right to left from his left hand. Time to move, boss. Bors's voice in his ear. Time was up. The five of them activated their jetpacks as one and shot into the air, heading up out of the Plaza and towards the tower top. Ground fire came their way, though it was random and light, as the rifle battalion continued to attrit the huge enemy force that was still pouring out of the Ren's base into the smoking, body strewn plaza. Kaine and his Jare'rami'kade flew well above the battle and made it to the top of the tower, quickly gunning down the cultists they found there trying to break into the Bral. A moment later, the X-wings returned, dropping proton bombs over the plaza, now free of anti-air defenses, creating a massive staccato detonation that killed hundreds of the enemy with each blast, cratering the ferrocrete and setting bodies and debris on fire with the heat from the explosions. Free to engage at will, the fighters expended the rest of their munitions onto concentrations of enemy, and made strafing runs with their wingtip lasers. All through this, the rifle battalion continued to engage the enemy from their rooftop perches, well supported from above. At the top of the tower, the commandos held off the enemy force trying to charge up the main stairwell that led to the tower's flat rooftop. There were no Acolytes or any other Force users among the horde of crazies that continued to make the doomed attempt to retake the roof. The Bral had clearly rattled the Ren, taking away the Force, and any confidence they might have possessed, as Kaine had planned. He wished he'd had enough of them to cover the entire tower and the plaza too, but Ysalamiri were just too rare and precious too use so profligately, and this was a proof of concept mission for the Bral. He could build more. He was about to order the infiltration team to proceed into the tower when he caught Bors swearing into his comm before the Besalisk turned to look at Kaine, always a bad sign when they all wore helmets that gave 360 degree vision; the unspoken movement spoke volumes to Kaine's practiced eye. Something foul smelling had hit the fan; he knew that in his gut. Bors' voice came over the private channel a moment later. There's an Executor-class destroyer coming around Hutta and it's headed in this direction. Kaine swore himself. The Ren?Bors replied. That'd be my guess too. We need to get the kriff out of here, boss. Kaine didn't argue, having come to the same conclusion himself. They couldn't repel firepower of that magnitude. Tell Sharpe to pull his battalion out now. They can send a LAAT for us in the final wave. Bors nodded, and switched to the command frequency for the Clan and began relaying Kaine's orders. Kaine reloaded Erymanthian and stepped up beside the rest of the squad, holding the stairs. He fired each shot carefully, expending his anger and frustration onto the enemy. Borked. His own ship would be sending down transports to evacuate the ground force now, and then they'd have to jump to lightspeed before the damned Executor blew them all to space dust. Kaine was pissed, though he had no one to blame but the enemy for having played their hidden card. He was grateful he'd have a chance to repay them. Though it had been only minutes since his team had taken the rooftop, the stairwell was choked with blood and bodies already. The tower's occupants, the Cult of Ren, had bodies to spare, and had sent wave after wave of armed cultists into the fire. The Clan was winning the shabla battle, they'd made a near perfect surprise attack, drawn the enemy into the open and decimated them, cut off their leaders from the Force, and were about to assault their citadel, and now they had to retreat. It was infuriating, but Kaine wasn't going to throw his warriors' lives away against a foe they couldn't hit back at. There would be a reckoning, and soon, but not now. Rockets flew down from descending gunships, laying into the tower and the cultist horde on the ground both. Each gunship circled the plaza, emptying its weapons into the enemy force before landing on a rooftop to pick up elements of the 7th Battalion. The rifles fell back in good order, slowly reducing the amount of fire coming down into the plaza as they retreated by squad to the gunships which would take them back up to the Wild Boar. A single gunship hovered alongside the tower top, come to take off the Marshal and his Jare'rami'kade. Kaine sat on the step, Bors holding his backplate with one hand, firing down at the cultists until the LAAT climbed out of range. Then he let the Besalisk pull him into the cabin as the gunship made secure and climbed up to space. Amongst the bright lights of neon sign under the night filled sky, a sole figure waited, crouched on a rooftop, his gaze fixed upon the streets below. His worn black attire, along with his hooded mask hid him well in the few shadows that existed. For quite some time had he been waiting, but patience was key for any hunter, especially when the prey was typically considered a larger hunter. A contract had been taken up seeking to eliminate a particularly dangerous man. Skilled contract killer, but also a hunter of young females for his particularly nasty side business. The price, and the purpose, was something that couldn't be passed up.
As he waited, a static crackle came from his wrist. Taking a slow breath, his arm raised and he spoke into the communicator. Do we have eyes on the target?
A moment went by before a female voice cut through the rough static.
Roger. Target is leaving the casino.
The man's head dropped slightly. It was almost time. Copy that. Julius, can you confirm his path?
It was but a moment before the voice of another, this time a older sounding, gruff male came through.
Confirmed. Just as expected, he's heading east towards you. Should be in sight in a minute or two.
Turning his head, he adjusted himself towards the position their target would be approaching from. Understood, Julius, tail him from a distance. Ravana, sneak around him and get ready to spring the trap.
Roger.
Lowering his arm, he waited. Soon, they would see just how great of a hunter this man really was.

Travels of the Magisterium Bounty Hunters
Despite the appearance of their armour, the Bounty Hunters of the Magisterium were far from such a culture. While it was certainly possible their originator, the Bounty Hunter upon whom their template was based, was once a Mandalorian they were kept from such culture and knowledge. Silas had still ensured they were proficiently trained in combat as well as search and recovery operations for the Bounty Hunting part of their guises. But he had also instructed them in the art of information extraction and intelligence gathering. Tools which were indeed helpful to their facades, but which primarily served them in providing information on to their Master.
Each Bounty Hunter was dispatched to a different world/sector and kept informed of where the other was and what jobs they took on. This was to avoid any crossing of paths or appearance of two together at a time.
One such Bounty Hunter found himself upon the world of Nar Shaddaa, a notorious world for criminal activity. Smugglers, Crime Lords, Pirates, and a whole host of other "free thinkers" wound up here and could provide valuable information about the galaxy at large. Enemies of the Ren, and the First Order, would be quick to spot based upon where such groups either had trouble or a great deal of work
