[ Gwyn | ??? | ??? | ??? | ??? ] Attn: Jair CrawfordGwyn simply shook her head at the question.
“I am not okay. No, but I will endure.”
Finally letting go, she reluctantly opened her eyes, and beheld the beautiful woman with hair a shade darker than hers. Jair was drawn into Gwyn's memories far more than she herself was. But she was nonetheless unsettled. The memory of those youths who humiliated and tormented her...she didn't even remember that ever happening. Yet, when she saw it, it was like a new dawn in her eyes, and she realized she had suppressed this memory. She had been so traumatized that she'd somehow wiped it from her own mind.
There were shadows in her mind, as she realized that the beautiful Lady who took her in. She was...she was not as kind as she remembered. She'd always regarded her with fondness, but there was pain and terror in her soul now. What else had happened back then?
No. Focus. Jair needs you. Gwyn chided herself mentally and turned back to Aria.
“Tell me about her,” she requested of Jair. For Gwyn would know of whom Jair would risk hell for.

Gwyn seemed to still be extremely reluctant to talk about anything they had just witnessed from her memories. Jair, again, would not push the issue. At the same time, he didn't know how to answer her. I... The truth was Jair didn't really know where to begin. There was still so much missing. But before he could try to properly respond to Gwyn's request, he found himself interrupted by his old self, nearly causing him to jump with a start.
"Everyone seems to be under stress recently... our 'visitor' didn't bother you did he? An entity has been tormenting people in the temple recently." Now it made sense why Aria had appeared concerned before. Of course, she was not responding to what had just happened to Jair and Gwyn, but what was happening in the memory. "No. I didn't even know that there was an . . . entity that has been tormenting people. I don't really hear much about what happens around here." She had turned her face away from Jair in the projected memory, looking out into the distance, before turning back to him, now smiling. "It's nice to meet you, Jair Crawford."
That sense of longing returned. This must have been when they first met. Interestingly, Jair did remember exactly who he was warning her about. This 'entity' had not been erased from his memory. I was warning her about Valance... Jair remarked to Gwyn as though Gwyn would have any idea who Valance was. I remember him... but... what does he have to do with any of this? The answer could have been simple. Perhaps it was just coincidental.
But is anything coincidental with the Force? The scenery changed again, this time, to a remote location in what appeared to be Felucia. It was a very abrupt change that he was not expecting... nor was he expecting to see the person standing before him. Valance. He had made himself a menace to the Jedi. But... this was odd... no, this could not be right. Valance's face was contorted with what seemed like genuine concern, and he had handed Jair a data pad with a code, and instructions. Jair observed himself take the data pad and leave with it. This doesn't make sense, Gwyn... why am I colluding with the very person I just warned her about?

[ Gwyn | ??? | ??? | ??? | ??? ] Attn: Jair CrawfordWhoever this Valance was, he was important to Jair's memory. She detected something in his tone with the way he said that name, like he had significant and unpleasant history. Calming her heartbeats, and still holding on to the real Jair, Gwyn silently willed herself to focus on Jair and his needs. She was going to help him recover his memories and protect him from suffering harm if she could.
As they shared a bond of open hearts and minds, she could feel thoughts and memories that jumbled with her own. Her life was pain and hardships, but it never dimmed her soul or heart, and now she extended whatever warmth and companionship she could share, somehow believing this to be an anchor of sorts, so, when she saw the last bit of his memory and felt what might be agitation and confusion, she clasped his hand a little tighter and made a request.
“What can you tell me about Valance? You make it sound like he is evil incarnate.”

Valance is a man who has made many questionable decisions in his life… many of which are evil. It was a bit of an understatement. Valance was not someone that Jair trusted, at all, and yet here he was seeing himself trusting the man on something. It was a memory he recognized. There was no doubt that it happened. But how? I can’t shake the feeling that I trusted him with something… somehow, even though I can think of no good logical reason to do so. It had something to do with Aria…

[ Gwyn | ??? | ??? | ??? | ??? ] Attn: Jair CrawfordThat made sense. Jair's entire quest hinged on Aria. So if Valance had something to do with it, he would feature in Jair's memories. But as it was also a part of the lost memories, it seemed it now presented more questions than answers.
Gently squeezing his hand, Gwyn gave him a small, encouraging smile.
“Perhaps try meditating now, on the scene, on the memory.”
She was curious to see why Aria was so ever-present in Jair's heart and mind. That he would take such great endeavours to regain the lost memories spoke of strong feelings.
