The sounds of footsteps coming down the stairs echoed through the Inn's lobby as a blue mist coalesced and formed a large shimmering figure, the smile upon its face was large, and only the slightest coloration was visible in his violet gaze and brown robes his long black hair was the most distinct with a strand still sliding onto his face as he walked between them. Looking first at Zalor then at Tanara. <<My my, how you have grown.>> Was all he said to the two. As he looked at them fondly.

Zalor listened to Tanara's tale. He immediately recognized the man on Tatooine that Tanara was talking about: Nolan Strider. Zalor, himself, had met the man during his last outing to Tatooine - he was a good man. He and his girlfriend, Meena Vaela, were close friends of Vincent Darklighter; and since Vincent chose his friends very carefully, as he wasn't known to make friends with enemies of the Jedi, Zalor knew they could be trusted. Zalor was grateful that Tanara had found someone to stay with for the past three years, although he was disappointed by Vincent's absence. He figured the two were so in love that Vincent couldn't stand to be away from Tanara. Then again, Vincent was Vincent. If Vincent could find a job worth doing, for the right amount of credits and the right amount of action, there was nothing to stand in his way.
Zalor then acknowledged Tanara's gratitude towards him for letting her borrow R2. It seemed as though Tanara was still, after all this time, struggling with her memories. He felt sorry for her; he couldn't imagine what she was going through. It made him feel better knowing that having a companion like R2 around was therapeutic for her, at the very least. Even though R2 was Zalor's droid, the little droid obviously cared for Tanara as much as Zalor - that was clearly evident in the way the droid responded to her last comment. Zalor gave her a reassuring nod.
"You don't have to thank me, Tanara. I'm sure Artoo's all too happy to be of service. He does seem awfully fond of you. And really, I could think of no better companion to help you with your...episodes." Zalor didn't want to sound careless, and he tried to choose his words carefully. Granted, beyond what Tanara had told him, he still had no clue what her condition pertained of. He wondered where Vincent went, and what he might know of Tanara's current condition. "You know, if you want, and if Artoo's okay with it, you could..."
Zalor was interrupted when something startling caught his eye. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw it - a Force Ghost. It was the first he had seen since his retreat to Naboo, so he was a bit more unprepared to see one than he would've been back when he was a Jedi Shadow.
Was it Grandfather, he thought? Or, was it Andaar? Andaar had started to appear since Zalor had rescued his essence from Darth Zulataan and the ugly Shrine of Alkar Nial.
No, this was...
"Hold that thought." Zalor muttered to Tanara as he stood to his full height. Artoo had seen the Ghost, also, and Zalor could hear the droid whistling. The droid uttered a series of beeps that Zalor hadn't heard in a long time, but he recognized them right away. Once he did, he suddenly began to make out familiar features - the Zabrak horns, the long black hair, the robes.
No, it couldn't be. Not after all these years.
Shivers went up Zalor's spine. Time seemed to stand still in the Ja'raak Inn's front lobby. For what seemed like hours, but was only a few seconds, Zalor remained silent. Then, after mustering up the courage, Zalor spoke a name he hadn't spoken in what seemed like forever...
"Master Dash? I-is that you?"

MusicHer episodes, he called it. She might have been insulted or upset, but she knew her friend just didn't know enough about her condition, and was trying to be as sensitive as he could. It had actually been a similar thing that had caused her to yell at him the last time they had spoken, and she was very glad that she wasn't as emotionally unstable anymore. Then her friend started to say that she could keep the astromech droid, or at least, that's what she assumed he was going to say. He didn't finish his sentence. Instead, he simply trailed off, suddenly entirely focused on something behind her. As he stood back to his feet, she slowly turned around to see what had drawn his attention. At first, she wasn't entirely sure what she was looking at, but as she focused, she realized that there was a mostly translucent glowing blue figure walking down the stairs. He seemed familiar to her, but only slightly. As the tall figure got closer, he spoke to the two of them. Suddenly, she recalled the only memory she currently had of the being that stood in front of her.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------She was on board a ship. A capital ship. A decommissioned Star Destroyer. She was alone and running around the bridge. She was trying to keep the ship in orbit around the planet while also scan for life-forms on the forest moon below. Then suddenly, the consoles began to lock up, one by one, until she lost all control of the ship. A countdown appeared on the screens.~Automated Self-Destruct Sequence Initiated.~ ~What? No!~ It started at ten seconds. Her eyes widened at the numbers as they began cycling down. She panicked and began pounding desperately at the consoles, doing everything she could to get them to function.~Ten. Nine. Eight...~ ~Come on, come on!~She sprinted to every nearby console, hoping beyond hope that one of them was still active. Her heart pounding harder and faster than it ever had in her entire life.~...Seven. Six. Five. Four...~ ~Please, just work! PLEASE!~~.....Tanara....~A seven foot tall Zabrak appeared on the bridge behind her and called to her. She turned and ran straight into his arms without any hesitation.~I've got you.~~...Three. Two. One....~ The two of them disappeared from the bridge, reappearing on the planet surface. She broke out of the Zabrak's arms trying to fight off the sudden nauseated feeling she had, then looked up at the sky. She could see the ship she had stolen. It was rusted, dented, and the faction emblem on it's side was faded away. Then, tiny ripples of light started appearing across the ship, from stern to bow. The light cascaded into massive explosions, ripping the ship apart. Within seconds, nothing but debris remained. The Twi'lek girl fell to her knees and wept.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------She had first recalled this memory shortly after waking up with amnesia. She remembered sitting at the banquet feast, asking her friends question after question, trying to learn about who she was and who they were.~So...this Dash person. He loved me? Why?~~He claimed you as his 'goddaughter'.~She never did find out why. She had never found the right time to ask her grandfather before he sacrificed himself to save everyone, and Dash himself had died sometime before she got amnesia. But now, years later, he finally appeared to her. Countless emotions ran through her. Happiness. Pain. Confusion. Pride. Betrayal. She didn't know what to say, or do or even think. In her jumbled mess of a mind, she could only string together a single question, into which she poured all her feelings out. She raised her arms slightly to either side as she asked her question."Why?!"Why hadn't he been there for her before? Why had he claimed her as his goddaughter? Why was he here now? Why did he leave her alone?

Dash smiled at Zalor in acknowledgement. "Yes, it's me...Though I'm not so sure about master anything." He said with a wink. "I have much to tell you..I hope you are welcome in this establishment, and you may want to find more comfortable arrangements. " He said simply to Zalor as Tanara turned towards him.
He frowned however as he realized she barely remembered him..Oh how he remembered her. From the time she was born until his death. "You don't remember do you? That I was your father's closest friend?" He said solemnly. "That I died defending the enclave on Endor against my brother Loki, the one who killed your father..." He said quietly. "The one I am here to discuss, actually...." He said quietly trailing off looking from one to the other, his frown deepening.

Zalor's stomach turned inside out. This day, which was just supposed to be another normal work day at the Ja'raak Inn, had just gotten very strange, very quickly. Here was the ghost of Dash Vos, former leader of the Jedi Shadows before Master Vilor, and he had just uttered the name of a foe that Zalor had thought long gone.
Zalor calmly but briskly strode over to the front desk. Once he was behind it, he brought up his holocomputer, typed in a command, then pressed a button next to the console and spoke towards the holoscreen...
::Vaili...::
Before long, the voice of the Twi'lek employee, Vaili, responded...
::Yeah, boss?::
Zalor cleared his throat before keying the front desk's comm again, still staring at the blue, ghostly figure of Dash...::I need you to man the front desk for a short while. Something just came up that I need to take care of.::
::Oh, uh...okay.:: Vaili's voice conveyed a small amount of concern. ::Um...can I get Tomaas to cover for me on room service until you're back?::
Zalor was so focused on the ghost and what he had to say that he didn't care either way. ::Y-yeah, sure. That's fine, Vaili.::
With that, he quickly dismissed the holocomputer, then briskly made his way back towards Tanara, R2 and the ghost. He motioned for them to follow him into the empty cafeteria next to the lobby, where they would be away from the guests. He certainly didn't want to spook anyone away and give them the impression that the Ja'raak Inn was haunted, and he also wanted to remain free of distractions from what Dash had to say.
When he was sure they were out of range of the other employees and guests, Zalor wheeled around to face the ghost of Dash. With a nervous sigh and a worried stare, Zalor began to inquire the ghost further. Even with the change of scenery, the scene seemed no less surreal to Zalor, and he was tempted to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming this all up. "Okay...correct me if I"m wrong, here, but I could've sworn you said 'Loki' - big, hulking cyborg Zabrak, murderous, psychotic personality, worked with Darth Zulataan and the Red Fang, killed Jedi everywhere he went?"
Zalor bit his lip nervously before continuing. "Loki is dead. He's been dead for over five years. Our data that we had on him at the Enclave said so. So...why are we suddenly talking about him again?"

Tanara fought back the tears that were beginning to well up in her eyes. She felt that she had already cried enough for one day, but the appearance of her long lost godfather brought forth a deep reservoir of buried and forgotten feelings. Other than her one memory of him, all she knew was what she had been told by her friends, and what she had read from the Jedi Shadow Archives. Unfortunately, the archives lacked the personal information relating to her family, and so she had never been able to find out why Dash was her godfather. Finally having the opportunity to actual talk with him, despite the sudden emotional outburst, was something akin to a dream come true.
"I remember you saved me from an exploding star destroyer, but that's all."
Before she could ask more questions, her friend motioned for her and the translucent glowing blue being to follow him into the empty cafeteria. She wasn't sure that this was more secluded than the lobby, though she would admit that it was at least not in the middle of everything. Her friend seemed more preoccupied about the name that her godfather had spoken than about the fact he was speaking with a ghost, something she was sure most people would think strange. Even she would admit that she was not used to seeing dead people appear to her. She wanted to continue asking her own personal questions, seeing how this would probably be the only time she could, but her friend seemed to take control of the conversation with his questioning regarding the being known as Loki. She had no memories of him, or at least, none that she had recovered from the amnesia. All her knowledge of him came from reading through the archives. One of many enemies of the Jedi Shadows. Zalor spoke correctly when he said the archives reported him dead. There were only two possibilities as to why Dash would want to talk about his brother. Either some of Loki's minions were going to pose a threat, or...
"He's still alive, isn't he?"

Dash followed suit and joined them in the room. He looked around with amusement at the various devices he saw before spotting a marinating Gizzak steak on the counter. He licked his lips and then he turned looked at Tanara sadly before turning to Zalor and speaking. "No Tanara he survived the attack and battle with master Chris." Dash looked hopefully around thinking Chris might pop up before turning back to the others. "But he is not the being you once knew. As we speak he is fighting to save one of the most powerful people in the galaxy, Her name is Anna, she is a seer...He is working with Jedi." Dash said quietly. "And he has made enemies of the new evil in the galaxy the First order and the Knights of Ren, I spoke to Loki he is in the force...He is different now...He did not renounce the Darkside. But you both know that there are great and good among the darker side of the force." Dash said nodding in Tanara's direction.
"He is also traveling with my daughter..." Dash said looking forlorn. "She has no idea to his identity, and for now it should stay that way. However I felt from within the void that you should be warned..no not warned informed of the situation, you may seek him out. He won't harm you. However you must not seek vengeance, I implore this of you. And if you did you'd make an enemy of Adi Matango, and I think you both know who that is." Dash said simply. "Do either of you have questions...?" Dash said his face seemed sad as he looked at Tanara.

Zalor took a deep breath, then blew out a sigh, his mouth formed in an 'ooo' shape, as if blowing on a hot cup of Jawa juice. This was a lot of information, more than he was ready for. After five years, an old foe from his past as a Jedi had resurfaced, having seemingly cheated death. This was the last thing Zalor wanted to hear. His life was slowly becoming simpler and simpler - the last thing he needed was something like this to complicate things again.
Zalor slowly paced about the room, processing all the information in his head. Zalor leaned against one of the cafeteria tables, crossed his arms and put his right hand to his chin, seemingly nervous. He shot a confused look at the Force Ghost before responding.
"So...lemme get this straight: your brother, Loki, is alive. But, not only is he alive - he's...working with Jedi? Fighting the First Order? And he's allied himself with Jedi Master Matango? None of this makes any sense!"
Zalor frowned at Dash, and he suddenly seemed frustrated. Why was Dash here, interrupting his perfectly normal day at the Inn to give him news on the war between the Jedi and the First Order? It had to have been a dream, Zalor thought. Nothing this weird would really be happening. With a subtle motion, his arms already crossed, Zalor pinched his forearm. Nothing happened. He was awake; this was real.
Zalor was about to ask Dash a question, but he stopped himself. He feared he already knew the answer to it. It was his worst fears come true. After a few seconds of struggling with himself, he asked the question anyway...
"Okay, so...I do have a question, actually - why are you telling me this? Why do I need to know any of this? I...I'm not a Jedi anymore! I'm done with that life; I live here, I work here - this is my new life now. Why would I want to track down your brother, who will likely try to kill me as soon as he sees me?"

Do not seek vengeance. Why would she? She had no memory of Loki doing anything to her, and even the archives didn't detail anything she would consider worth seeking vengeance for. Besides that, she wasn't a particularly strong fighter. Seeking out vengeance would probably only result in her own death. Since she did not have a death wish, she wouldn't try to attack him.
Her friend, not her for once, seemed to have more difficulty grasping the information he was being given. He attributed it to him actually remembering Loki, and all the things that he did. Even so, she had seen first hand the kind of devastation the First Order and the Knights of Ren were capable of unleashing. If he was fighting against them, then whatever he had done in the past was largely irrelevant. She also had no recollection of who Dash's daughter was. Not even the archives had any data relevant information for her to refer to. She knew all about keeping secrets though, and would keep this one.
As for Zalor himself, he had been hidden away from the rest of the galaxy long enough to forget how badly he was needed. While she understood his reasoning, and didn't want to force her friend back into action, she knew his destiny was far greater than working as an assistant manager at a small inn on Naboo. She had already disrupted his somewhat normal life by appearing here, did she have it in her to push him out of his hiding place? No. If he was happy, she wouldn't be the one to deprive him of that.
Tanara slowly folded her arms as she thought about the questions that were being formed in her mind. The biggest one was an echo of Zalor's question. Why was Dash telling them these things? However, since Zalor had already asked that question, she went with her number two question. She took a breath, then began to speak.
I may not be much of a Jedi these days either, but I'm also not a warrior or soldier. What does Loki's fight against the First Order have to do with us?

Dash visibly sighed at Zalor. "You listen but do not hear." Dash said with a frown holding a hand up to Tanara as he looked at Zalor." You are a Jedi, you think Naboo is safe from the arm of the First Order?" Dash said quietly but sternly.. "You don't just stop being a Jedi because you fail or run away. Obi-Wan Kenobi lost his entire order and he was still a Jedi." Dash said simply. "You cannot live in the past. Believe it or not Tanara taught me that." He said nodding at her. "Now that being said. Why on earth would Loki kill you, he is traveling with Adi Matango, whom is traveling with Jedi Master Raven Alora. Loki does not wish you dead. His time in a coma changed him. And the work he is doing now I believe is changing him further..." Dash said looking at them both. "I cannot pretend to know what your place is, in this fight Zalor..But the Jedi, the good, the bad, the balance, are all in danger." Dash said looking forlornly between the two. "Loki, Adi, Master Alora, they will need all the help they can muster to beat this." Dash said with no level of sadness. "I do not know much of what befell you after my death. But I do know that your story isn't finished Zalor, nor yours Tanara." He said quietly.."I don't have much time..So if you have other questions, please ask quickly..." Was all he said, his image flickering.

Zalor's frustrated frown faded, as Dash gave his reasoning for wanting Zalor to return to the galaxy. One thing Dash said really hit home for Zalor: If the First Order had found the Enclave on the Forest Moon of Endor and scattered the Jedi Shadows, a place that was hidden from the rest of the galaxy, what would stop them from coming to Naboo, right smack in the middle of the Mid Rim? Zalor had already lost one home - he couldn't bear the thought of losing another.
"You don't just stop being a Jedi because you fail or run away." These were words that Zalor knew he had heard before, albeit - from Master Vilor, in his own subtle manner of speech, but they rang truer nonetheless. Zalor suddenly felt foolish, believing he could hide from his destiny. He had tried that many times before, but eventually - somehow - his destiny as a Jedi had always caught up to him again and again and again. Yet, a small part of him fought back against Dash's prodding - he had just settled back into Naboo and had only been there for five years. He was just getting comfortable. Then, there was Tryn - and the Ja'raak Inn. Zalor remembered the conversation he had with Tryn the night before - Tryn was gonna promote Zalor; heck, he was going to give him the Inn. Zalor had always dreamed of coming back to Naboo and settling down, albeit with Sayra Nur by his side. Despite her absence, owning the Ja'raak would've been Zalor's dream come true. But now, once again, the galaxy needed his help. With powerful Jedi like Matango, and now even Master Raven Alora leading the fight, it would be a chance for Zalor to take the fight straight to the bad guys, right on the front lines. Except, he was a Shadow - what good were his stealthy, clandestine approaches on the open battlefield?
The mental battle inside Zalor's mind raged on until R2 nudged him and he realized that he had been silent for a full thirty seconds, while the form of Dash was fading away. Zalor looked from Tanara back to Dash with a deep stare. Still conflicted, Zalor finally sighed a solemn sigh... "I'll need to sleep on it - I don't like to make these sorts of decisions on the fly. If I do, however, decide to track down your brother and Masters Matango and Alora, where would I start?"
Another thought occured to him, as the memory of Sayra Nur once again resurfaced. If he was going to go back into the galaxy, he wanted to find her. And Evan and Asha. And anyone else from the Shadows that he could think of. "Oh, uh - and...do you know where the others are? I haven't seen Sayra Nur or Evan Azzameen or my mother in years. I'd really like to know why they haven't shown up."

She was a little surprised when seven foot tall Zabrak ghost told her that she had taught him not to live in the past. She had no recollection of ever having done so, and it was a lesson she was still struggling with. She was also a little surprised that Dash believed that she would be needed in the war against the First Order. She wasn't a fighter, or a soldier. She was a mechanic and slicer more than anything else. Neither of those were particularly useful on the front lines, at least not in terms of fighting. She supposed that she could repair tanks, bikes and bombers or maybe try to hack into the enemy comm traffic. She had done something similar in the past.
Poor Zalor though. She could tell that he did not want to leave. She could also tell there was something that he hadn't mentioned yet, that was weighing heavily on his mind. She was curious as to what it was, and if she could help him with it, but unfortunately she knew him too well. The human boy just needed time to think. She had her own thinking to do. An unending mess of personal questions soared through her mind, but as much as she wanted to ask them, she didn't want to dwell on who she had been before the amnesia. She wasn't that girl anymore, and probably never would be again. It would be better to focus on who she was now, and who she could be in the future.
Yes, as Zalor asked, where would we start. And also, what would we tell them? I doubt they would just let us join their cause for no reason.

Dash looked off in the distance as though sensing something far away. He looked hopeful but sad as his ghostly gaze turned back to the two before him…”I have not felt your mothers presence in a long time Zalor..But don’t fret I am sure she is fine a most resourceful woman I never met.” Dash said sheepishly. “As to your friends..they travel the stars…searching for you..Soon they will find you, or you them…” Dash said with an air of foretelling, then his face grew grim as he looked at them both. “They are hurt…They are fighting against impossible odds to save Anna, and the fighting is not done, I don’t think..Naboo is where they came together..Naboo is where they will return. Be ready for them Zalor..What is the name of this Inn?” Dash asked quickly, as he flickered once more..”Soon it will be time for goodbye..but I am not gone forever…not really.” Dash said quietly…

Dash's words seemed vague, at first, but as Zalor pondered them, he realized that both of his questions were answered: Sayra Nur and the others were still alive, and they were searching for Zalor. When he would find them, or when they would find him, remained a mystery. He was disappointed by the lack of information on his mother, Erris, but if Dash seemed certain that she, too, was still alive, that was enough to give Zalor hope of seeing her again.
As for Masters Matango and Alora, it would seem that they were coming here? To Naboo? Were they looking for Zalor, too? Had Dash sent them after him? And, if so - why? Zalor couldn't ask Dash that question now, though. He could see Dash's presence fading away more and more.
It seemed as though his past as a Jedi was about to catch up to him, though - whether Zalor liked it or not. If he wanted to find Sayra, Evan, Asha and the others, this might be the best way to do it. At any rate, the most he could do was give Dash his location to give to the other Jedi when they came for him. Reluctantly, he made up his mind and spoke...
"This is the Ja'raak Inn. If the other Jedi Masters come looking for me, tell them that they can find this Inn right on the main street, five miles from the Queen's palace, just before the river."
Zalor bit his lip nervously before adding...
"Oh, and...uh...Master Dash? If you do come across my friends before I do - tell them I miss them. A lot."

They were coming to Naboo. The tall Zabrak didn't say where they were, or where they were coming from, or even when. All he said was that they were hurt. She wondered how badly, and how much help they would need to recover. All things considered though, this planet was probably one of the best places to retreat and heal. But what of her friends? What of Sayra and Evan? What of her sister, Asha? They too were missing, and she missed them all dearly. She would see them again, she was sure of that. But when? And in what condition would they meet?
And what of herself? These were strangers that her godfather was asking her to help. One was even a former enemy, according to the archives. Would she help them? Yes, of course she would. Her mother often used to say that to gain a friend, you had to be a friend. Even if she felt no loyalty to these strangers, she would help them.
"We will be ready, I promise."
She noticed that the glowing blue being was beginning to flicker and fade, and suddenly felt a pang of loss. Even this short conversation was enough for her sub-conscious to reform that long lost connection to her godfather. It was a feeling she was unaccustomed to, yet did her best to overcome it. She needed to stay positive and hopeful.
"Please just...don't wait so long before your next vist. I may not remember you, but I still miss you."

Dash smiled briefly. "I shall return eventually, it is hard to do this it requires much power." Dash said simply. He looked off distantly again. "I shall do that Zalor. If I can find them I will." Dash said he seemed distracted his eyes suddenly went wide. "Now?! Already?" He whispered he had thought he had more time, before the flash of light they could see him pull a saber from his robes and it ignited before he was gone. Off to save his brother from a fate far worse than death.

Zalor watched in disbelief as the form of Dash faded away. He couldn't make out what Dash was doing when he left, but he was too reeled by the information Dash had just given him to care.
"Oh boy...oh boy, this is not happening."
Zalor put his hands to either side of his head and leaned against the cafeteria table he was closest too. He took several deep breaths, trying to calm himself. This had changed his whole day, his whole week - heck, it had put a wrench in all of his plans. He was leaning towards giving Tryn the good news that he would take the Inn by the end of the week. Now, he didn't know if he could - not with renowned Jedi Masters and one former adversary coming to meet him. Zalor shot an exhausted, somewhat flustered stare at R2, who was still next to him.
"Oh, Artoo - this can't be happening, buddy. This is all a dream. I need to wake up."
Then, he turned that same doubtful, worried look to Tanara, and continued his nervous rambling.
"Up to today, I had my life figured out. I mean - I know the fight against the First Order is important, but...I just got settled down here. I...I can't get back up and go back to being a Jedi again. Not when..." Zalor bit his tongue and fell silent again. He wasn't sure if he wanted to tell Tanara about Tryn's desire to hand Zalor the Ja'raak Inn. She had just met him for the first time in years, and he wanted to wait until they had caught up before he broke the news. However, things had just become very, very complicated, and he was conflicted. He needed some friendly advice from someone he could trust - Artoo and Tanara were the only two he could confide in right now.

And just like that, he was gone. What had only been a few minutes of conversation had felt to her like a lifetime. For him to suddenly reappear into her life only to leave just as quickly stung at her more than she thought possible. She could feel the tears starting to well up in her eyes, but she fought them back. She needed keep a grip on her emotions. Poor Zalor though, he seemed utterly crushed and defeated. She hadn't meant to flip his new-found life upside down, and yet it had been.
She wished she could tell him that it was just a dream. That his normal life was just fine, and that nothing unexpected was going to happen. She felt sorrow and regret pooling up within her. This was not how she would've wanted their reunion to have gone.
"I'm sorry Zalor."
She wanted to say more, but the words wouldn't come. She had no words of comfort to offer him. Instead, she moved to his side, gently placing left arm across his shoulders while resting her head lightly on his right shoulder. It wasn't a full hug, but she intended it to be as comforting and supportive as she could make it. She spoke softly and gently, hoping her voice would help calm him down.
"When what? Talk to me Zal, I'm still your friend."

Zalor breathed a deep sigh as Tanara gave him a reassuring hug. She was so sweet, he thought. She shared Asha's kindness and compassion, for sure. He had missed her greatly. Discarding his earlier caution, Zalor finally decided to trust Tanara, as he had before, and he let the nexu out of the bag.
"Just last night, after we were done with work, Tryn and I were talking. He wants to give me the Inn, Tanara. He wants to give me ownership of the Ja'raak Inn - make me the head manager. It would be..." Zalor cut himself off midsentence once again, adding in a bit of nervous laughter. He was a mix of emotions now - looking forward to his new life on Naboo, yet dreading the Jedi life coming back to him, yet feeling guilt for not accepting his Jedi destiny. He was having difficulty making sense of himself, and he knew both Artoo and Tanara could tell. Artoo beeped at him to continue. Finally, he mustered up the courage...
"Ever since I became a Jedi Shadow, I secretly dreamed of coming back here - to Naboo, to my home. I wanted to marry Sayra Nur, bring her here to Theed and start a new life away from the Jedi. I figured I would work for the Queen, or work for Kilo, or something - but now I get to be my own boss. I get to run my own business! And I love it here at the Ja'raak Inn. I always have!"
Zalor finally mustered a giddy smile as he looked at Tanara.
"The only thing that's missing is - you guys. My friends. Sayra, Asha, Evan, you...everyone."
Zalor's smile quickly faded, though - as the thought of what Dash had told him resurfaced to the front of his mind.
"My life was close to perfect for, at least, a short while - until 'he' showed up. I mean...gosh, I shouldn't say that. I..."
Suddenly, Zalor felt stupid for making Dash's appearance sound so awful. He respected Dash, he respected all the Jedi Masters that he had known. He knew Dash was right. But, boy, was his timing ever awful.

She gently drew circles with her thumb along his left shoulder as he spoke to her. She knew it was difficult for him to let out the secrets that had been bothering him, and she wanted to reassure him that she supported him. She wasn't sure how to respond at first. She hadn't intended for his life to suddenly spiral the way it was beginning to. All she wanted was to visit her old friend, and now it seemed they were both about to be swept up into events larger than either of them. In spite of herself, she still smiled at her friend. He clearly didn't blame her for all this, and for that she was grateful. So she listened to him speak. She listened to him explain what was troubling him. To his dreams.
"You are allowed to be frustrated, you certainly didn't ask for complications."
It was only a matter of time until Loki, Adieumus, Raven, and whoever else finally arrived on Naboo, and then Zalor's dream would once again disappear into the void, possibly forever. She wished there was something she could do to make.....
"Hey, I've got an idea!"
She suddenly let go of him, stood up straight then turned him so that they were facing each other. A mischievous glint appeared in her bright blue eyes to match her wide smile. For a moment, it was like the old Tanara had resurfaced.
"Let's make the most of this dream of yours while we still can. We might not have the others here, but Artooie and I are here. Let's go do something! Let's get gifts for your employees here! Let's redecorate the place! Get some streamers and banners and confetti and throw a party!"
She started giggling at how ridiculous she was sounding, but she didn't care. She wanted to make her friend happy, to make him laugh. She had no idea what kind of journey they were going to be going on when the others arrived on Naboo, but she wanted to make sure that it started off right.
