The small ship rippled into existence above the world. Despite it size, it was packed well beyond capacity with refugees from the Jedi temple of Felucia. This hadn't been the closest world, but with a raid against the heart of the order, it was the closest one that Mary was certain would both have Jedi & not be a target. That made it the goal of her little run.
-Mary This is the Jedi Freighter Tempest. We are loaded with refugees & require immediate landing clearance & aid.
Hopefully, the reports that the jedi on the world were making good progress would not be out of date. She would hate having to set down in some barren woodland area, as many of the passengers on her ship needed medical attention.

Captain Trevor Killian, a tall middle aged Corellian Man, stood on the bridge of Steadfast monitoring the situation on the ground. He had already lost too many fighters over the months to contribute, and it irks him constantly that he has to stay up in orbit and watch. Stewing over that frustration for the hundredth time he's startled as the comm officer informs him of the call for aide from the Jedi Ship. Opening a channel to respond he begins typing out orders to the main hangar to prepare for the incoming transport. ::This is the Jedi Carrier Steadfast, we are prepared facilities to receive you. Follow the docking instructions we are sending you and our medical teams will meet you in the hangar:: Not waiting for a response, he swiftly left the bridge, intending to meet the newcomers upon their arrival. This was far better than sitting around watching the battle on the ground.

Mary powered through the maneuvers hard. It wasn't strictly required, but long experience in a docking yard had given her a good feel for what a craft could do. Not even counting her familiarity with her own ship. The sooner she landed, the sooner the people inside would get treatment. The carrier seemed to be swinging around to bring the hanger in line with her, but she wasn't willing to wait. The powerful drives of the Tempest made short work of the distance, skimming so close to the edge of the larger ship as it cornered into the hanger bay that her shield threw interference sparks.
Of course, the maneuver meant the medium freighter entered the hanger upside down relative to the larger ship. There was a moment of rippling unease as the two artificial gravities fought each other, but Mary wasn't going to give the weaker systems in her own ship time to lose the fight. Using a foot to hit the landing gear button, she continued the hard pull on her ship's control shaft, causing it to neatly flip over its nose & settled to the deck plating with a heavy thud. Though one that didn't appear to have damaged anything on either ship. By the time the landing gear was on the deck, the engines of the freighter were still trying to kill its momentum. This resulted in a few moments to shrieking drift, but then the ship stopped & the engines sharply dropped off their thrust.
A moment later & the ramp had been lowered. On this sign design it was nearer to the rear of the ship, so the wounded had less distance to travel to the medics. The majority of them had already be triage assessed by the other passengers (as a few of them had some basic medical training, if little to no gear). The most critical cases had been front loaded toward the ramp, with just enough of the healthier bodies on hand to quickly unload them. In almost looked like a zombie rush for a moment, as the quick stream of torn bodies descended the ramp.
Back in the cockpit, Mary slowly worked her way through the post-fight. With the ramp down, her responsibilities to the passengers had ended. She hadn't been involved in the fight, at least not longer than it took to load up her ship, so she hadn't been hurt. She hadn't even seen any of the attackers. However, she once again found herself in need of a place to stay. Coruscant, Zeltros, Felucia. This was starting to turn into a bit of a farce.

Along with everyone else in the hanger the ship's Captain grew tense as the ship makes it's way in, seeming like it's about to do a really good impression of a Rancor in a porcelain shop. Thankfully all that is released as the pilot manages to maneuver the ship in with minimal damage and an impressive degree of skill. The former fighter pilot part of him admired it, while this ship's commander in him was somewhat angry at the danger the situation had prompted. It couldn't be helped however, not if there were people who needed aid on that ship. He kept his distance as a swarm of medical staff began their work, moving the injured into a nearby hatch that led to what had once been a repair bay that had long since been set up as an emergency medical facility.
In minutes everyone had been moved and the captain made his way onto the ship, searching out the pilot. With a four day growth of beard and wearing a GA officer's battle uniform stripped of everything but the rank isnignea an Steadfast's own ship patch the 5' 6" man was by no means an impressive figure. But he made his way to the ship's cockpit with quick military precision. Upon arrival he knocked on the nearby bulkhead before speaking, his voice smooth but not overly formal. Hello. Welcome to Steadfast. Is there any news? Obviously there was some with so many injured, and honestly it was kind of rude to get right to it like that after the pilot had braved so much to help these people, but he needed to know if there was immediate danger to his ship.

Mary wasn't yet familiar enough with rank system to identify how high up the chain the person that entered her cockpit (after a brief knock) was. He was a bit on the scruffy side, & slightly older, but that could mean little in the light of the massive offensive that seems to have knocked the Alliance onto the back foot.
-Mary If Felucia hasn't fallen already, it will soon. I doubt my little ship was tracked on the way out though. Too many bigger, slower targets & too many vultures picking over the dead.
Her last sight of the most resent place she had called home what a pillar of smoke that reached to the storm wracked heavens. She felt completely drained. But it was a state she was slowly getting used to. The blank metal of her mask & the dull monotone of her voice was something that rarely varied these days. Not since she found that blasted crystal in the lost & found box at work. She steadily worked through her checklist, making little effort to pay any attention to the officer. To an experienced military being, everything about her screamed she was about one little push from crawling into a corner somewhere to wait for death.

Captain Killian, despite the discipline instilled in him by a life in the military, couldn't help but let out a short stream of curses at the news. If the seat of the Jedi Order had fallen the state of the galaxy had just fallen exponentially. The almost certain collapse of the Galactic Alliance was a crushing blow to be sure, but the symbolism of the destruction of the Jedi would be even worse. The news that she was unlikely followed was good, but did not outweigh the bad. If Felucia could be destroyed then it was only a matter of time before war showed up on their doorstep. Of course war was already here, but the renegade warlords of Serenno were nothing compared to the destructive force of the First Order.
The captain had never been particularly good with feelings, but he could read the on edge body language of the young woman. As much as he'd like to tell her everything would be alright, he had no way to make that happen and he was not one for empty promises. Instead he went with the second option. One that might keep her too busy to focus on the situation at large. We appreciate your help in getting these people here and I am sure you are in need of a rest, but our people on the surface are under siege and in desperate need of supplies and our complement of ships has been exhausted. He gestures around to the expansive, but empty, hangar. It is not a safe journey, but if you'd be willing to risk it, it would go a long way towards stabilizing Serenno so that we can focus once again on the galaxy at large.

Mary took a moment to think it over. From where she was sitting, she could see a puddle of blood left in the hallway just outside the cockpit. Likely, that would be far from the only stain. In fact, she was entirely sure that the closer one got to the ramp on the far side of the main lounge, the more the ship would look like the set of a slasher movie. Cleaning that up, even with the help of the droid portion of the ship, would not be an easy or fun task.
-Mary Ugh. Trade. I get help cleaning the blood & other fluids out of my ship & I will load up for a trip to the surface.
She was pretty sure that whatever resistance would be met on the way down, she could handle it. After all, before today, she had never done a forward nose stall landing with a fifty meter ship inside a hanger at cruising speed. As for how much cargo she could handle, it would likely be far less than the man was expecting. Only one of the Tempest's four cargo bays were still cargo bays. Of course, the vehicle bay & the workshop could also be stuffed fairly full, as the craft & tools tucked away to keep the area mostly open. That same feature was likely the solo reason an extra two hundred or so beings were alive right now.

Captain Killian took a quick look around the ship and nodded. "Agreed" Over the next few hours ships crew were brought on board to clean and then the process of cramming the ship with as many supplies as possible began. Under Mary's direction the crew stuff the bays and corridors with whatever could fit. Once the work was done the captain handed the woman a datacard with the coordinates for the makeshift landing field on the surface that had once been a park. "Good luck" He said simply before giving her a salute and heading out of her ship and back toward the bridge. Hopefully those supplies would help the situation on the ground end that much sooner. They'd already been here far far too long.

Once the the cleaning crews were finished & the cargo was loaded, Mary carefully slid the ship back out into open space. There was no need for fancy or high speed maneuvers, since no lives were in danger. Once she was clear of any other ships in orbit, she plotted a descend approach to the listed co-ordinates.

1 Year Before the Arrival of the Jedi Lords... Above the war-torn world of Serenno, an enormous Separatist armada sat laying in wait, consisting of 16 Muunifient-Class Frigates, 5 Recuscant-Class Light Destroyers, 2 Providence-Class Dreadnaughts, and a Lucrehulk-Class Carrier. The fleet, led from the Invincible (Lucrehulk Class) was commanded by Super Tactical Droid X0-57. He sat, waiting to shoot down any ships that approached the planet or attempted to leave. It was what the master ordered. And whatever the master said went, in his eyes.

1 Year Prior to the Jedi Lords...
Kortos strolled to the front of the bridge aboard his newly granted Victory II. The Thracian was like almost any other Victory II-class Star Destroyer, sporting the same guns and armour as any other run of the class. However, what differentiated it from most, was the crimson red colour that made up its hull. In a throw back to the legendary Crimson Command, Nicademus had commissioned a series of Victory II's in the crimson red and bestowed them upon the Imperial Knights. A gesture that was not entirely unwelcome, since it gave the Knights a naval force.
He turned his attention to the holo table then. Studying the projection of Serenno and the fleet that sat in orbit. It was like a separatists wet dream. Munificent's, Recuscants, Providence's, and a Lucrehulk. It was a solid blockade, for a normal fleet. But Kortos had not been granted any old normal fleet. Thanks to the generosity of the Emperor, Kortos had also been granted the aide of 8 Resurgent-class Battlecruisers. More than enough fire power to smash the pitiful blockade against the rocks and send it back to the scrap heap it had crawled out from.
He lifted his attention from the table to the viewport then, as the blue hue of hyperspace was replaced by Serenno and the Fleet hanging in orbit. The Thracian was the first to exit hyperspace, followed soon after by the Resurgent-class Battlecruisers. Their shields were raised, gun crews were acquiring targets, and the TIE fighter pilots were warming up their engines as they did their final preflight check lists. Kortos opened a comm line to the defending forces then I am Imperial Knight Kortos Vel of the First Order. This is your one and only warning: Disperse back to the junk heap you came from, or be destroyed...

The fleet immedeaely moved to defensive positions and prepared for battle with a cold, mechanical efficiency. Shells were loaded into cannons, shields were raised, and turbolasers were prepared. At the same time, eight hundred fighters prepared for launch aboard the Lucrehulk. X0 got on comms with Kortos. "Statement. By directive M-6879, all ships arriving to Serenno must be terminated, and all life forms aboard either killed or processed. Your threats have no tangible or tactical effect on us, organic. You will now be terminated. Lethal force authorized."

Prior to the Jedi Lords...
Kortos sighed as the response came through. Droids were some of the most annoying creations in the galaxy to deal with. Almost any other race could be negotiated with, bribed into dispersing. But Droids lacked any fundamental need to do so. So long as they had power, they would put any resources they had into following the task given to them. He cut the comm line to the enemy ship as he turned toward the Captain of the Thracian Destroy them... Take out that damned Lucrehulk with as much firepower as we can spend on it. We'll deal with the scraps as they come... The Captain gave a nod before he relayed the orders across the fleet. The swarm of TIE fighters started deploying across the fleet to begin taking on the screen of droid Starfighters. Meanwhile, 5 of the Resurgents locked their weapons on to the Lucrehulk and fired as many of their Turbolasers as they could at the flagship. Meanwhile, the remaining 3 Resurgents turned upon the smaller war ships, looking to thin the numbers of the Munificent-class star frigates. The Thracian added its own firepower toward the assault on the Lucrehulk, hoping to inflict some damage on the capital ship, whilst also thinning some of the swarm of starfighters that would undoubtedly be in the way

The swirling blue of hyperspace soon gave way to the black star covered real space. Abi rushed to the view port of the lounge aboard Growing Stronger. Her eyes sparkled as she saw her home planet for the first time in a 18 years. This brought a smile to Alesha's old and wrinkled face. It had been a lot of work for the remnants of House Bruce to get to this point. Alesha dared not bring her granddaughter back to this planet with risk of assassins until she was sure Abi was ready. And now the young woman was. Alesha had passed on the title of Baroness to Abi, since she did not know how many years she still had, and it would be up to her granddaughter to rebuild the family. The pair stayed like this till over the intercom came the voice of their pilot.
=Pilot= Would you like to be the one to announce our arrival, Baroness?
Abi looked to her grandmother who smiled and nodded, prompting Abi to move to the center of the room, where the decorative table lowered into the floor and became a holoprojecter. Stepping into it, Abigail stood tall and proud and began her transmission to Serenno's open channel.
=Abigail= This is Baroness Abigail Bruce. My House and I have returned to you, beautiful Serenno. I have missed you, my home. And I hope that you have not forgotten the all that my family has done, and that we may be welcomed back to you. I eagerly await your response.
Giving a low curtsy, she cut the transmission and waited for the response she would receive.

The Ducal Fleet of House Malvern lingered in orbit over Saffia, its blackened battlefield around the city could be seen from orbit itself. The fleet was hanging high above the planet now, the crew recovering from the panic that shot through its ranks when two of their own cruisers were pulled down by unseen hands. Those present knew it was the Force itself, but the pull came from a much darker source of power. The tallies were being made on the resources and manpower lost from the sudden incident. Crews were sent down to recover anything and anyone from the two wreckages.
As this was being performed by Commander Edmund Maalster, a respected nobleman, sworn to House Malvern, the transmission from Baroness Bruce was picked up by one of his communication officers. He stopped his work to listen to the transmission, glancing curiously at his staff. A quick search verified her name and status, although the database on the nobility of Serenno said she had departed the world. With all this verified, Commander Maalster responded.
=Commander Maalster= Baroness Bruce, you come at a rather... dark time for our people. Serenno is no longer a beautiful place and has become rather dangerous.
The Commander was not gonna sugarcoat the words. Serenno was not the same.
=Commander Maalster= I can provide an escort to the city of Saffia where you may meet with my master, Duke Lucien Malvern, as well as others of a growing coalition. They seek to right the wrongs done to this world and wish to see it unified. Your participation would certainly be welcomed.

Abi frowned as she heard that the state of her home had worsened. Though she quickly regained her composure and replied solemnly but sure, as her grandmother had taught her.
=Abigail= It saddens me to hear that, though I will still speak to your Duke. Your escort will be appreciated, if things are as bad as you make them out to be.
Growing Stronger would move closer to the fleet, and acquire the escort, before moving down to the surface and landing in Saffia.

Post by Maximus Titus [RETIRED] on Feb 14, 2020 6:28:52 GMT -8
Jedi Lord Titus and Praetorian Commander Quitus strolled along the hallways of the Archonian Longhorn Fire Cruiser known as the Whisper. The dichotomy between their red and blue scales provided quite the contrast. The pair already turned enough heads while aboard the Aldar cruiser, but something about their opposing scale colour seemed to fascinate their hosts even more. Behind them strode the four Gladiators - Spartacus, Crixus, Flamma, and Tetraides - all of whom stood out like a sore thumb as they marched toward the bridge of the ship.
Given the Jedi Lords current situation in terms of naval power, or rather a lack thereof, Titus had enlisted the aide of the Aldar and their fleet. A group whom, he was still not sure how, had ended up as his wards of a sort. A situation that at the present time, Titus was not overly opposed to having had happened. The doors to the bridge opened and Titus strode further ahead, giving a bow as his gaze settled upon Baroness Lyrica StarlightBaroness Starlight... I appreciate you and your people's aide in this endeavor... If the files uncovered from The Spike are true, a Sepratist Supply Ship would be quite the boon to the Jedi Lords Navy...

[ Adm. Andromeda "Andie" Brightlance | Bridge | Main Deck | AFV Whisper ] Attn: Maximus TitusThe Bloodsworn admiral turned to look up at the crimson-coloured Chistori, and squinted at him, her lips curled down in disapproval, “Lord Titus,” said the slender woman, fists on her hips, “while she is Baroness in the Council of Lords on Serenno, on board a sovereign Archonian vessel, she is recognized as princess and the last royal of the Aldar.”Several Aldar looked up in alarm.[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | Bridge | Main Deck | AFV Whisper ]“Admiral!” chided Lyrica in a soft and gentle tone, and a weak smile playing on her lips, “It's quite all right, I don't really stand on formalities much. You can call me Lyrica, it does save time.”Andie sniffed loudly and stepped back with a small bow of her head, but the Chistori wouldn't miss the small woman muttering about casual attitudes leading to casualties. Lyrica didn't appear perturbed by the woman's stern behaviour, though, as she simply smiled and shook her head slightly, then turned back to address Maximus, “Please forgive my admiral. She comes from a people quite unlike the Aldar, and they seem to value discipline and adherence to decorum on a scale beyond my ability to comprehend. In any case, we are quite h-happy...” she paused to cough, placing a clenched fist in front of her mouth and turning away from the Chistori, tiny droplets of blood splattered on her hand, which the princess quickly wiped away, when Andie placed a hand on Lyrica's shoulder, and two more Aldar Knights reached forward in concern, Lyrica shook her head and held out her free hand to halt them, “No, admiral, don't...don't give your life force for this. It's pointless. Stand down, Zoar, Alhim. I am all right. This will come, sooner or later.”She glanced up at Maximus, her pallor obvious to anyone, “Forgive me, my lord, the end comes soon for me, but while I yet live, I will do what I can to further the cause of the Jedi Lords. My people have studied the files from The Spike further, and we can confirm the telemetry and intel. The ship is definitely in existence and in a salvageable state. If we depart with all due alacrity, we may begin operations to recover the vessel. We have our own division of Archonian droids across the ships that will be accompanying us. If I understand the history of the Clone Wars correctly, the Separatists used a great deal of droids for just about everything, didn't they?”
