A terrible threat rises to contend with the stable Mandalorian Assembly and their strong clans. A threat that comes not from within, but without. Though they ardently protect their homes, the Mandalorian warrior culture will not stand idly by as outsiders seek to destroy what they have built and gained. They will raise their weapons, man their vessels, and bring the war to the very home of their foes! None should ever underestimate Mandalore!
Haat, Ijaa, Haa'it! For Mandalore! =============== Hello Mandalorians and our proposed enemy, Dragus . We are currently discussing a storyline of conflict, deeds, and glorious battle as the Mandalorian Assembly faces off against a resurgent or a hidden threat. Likely either a renewed Hutt cartel that has a strong re-militarized stance or a long hidden Sith faction from the Unknown Regions. These won't directly involve Dragus himself, but more be the Sith Lord manipulating events for the sake of having fun and wondering how things will go by orchestrating a war between the Mandalorian clans and this enemy. Given our lack of writers compared to before, I figured a storyline where we still get to enjoy a good war on our terms would still be fun! We may need a temporary Mandalore to step in though, considering Dral being MIA from the website since the end of 2021. I am willing to offer Galaar since he is the Legate of the Mandalorian Defense Corps, but if others wanna step up, please do! I am more than willing to keep him where he is. Let us discuss away and create a great storyline!

I'm happy to play whatever sort of enemy/villain you guys think would be fun to face and overcome. Creating a setting full of despair and dark imagery is something I think I excel at, so whether the enemy is Croakus the Corpulent and a slave empire out of Hutt Space, or Mandalmotors accidently opens an infinity gate to a Rakata world that escaped the fall of their empire and unleashes an army of darkside powered technology wielding evil doers on Mandalore , or just your garden variety Sith with an agenda, I will do my best to keep it entertaining.
That said, I really don't have a personal preference what sort of baddy I am playing, so whatever the group thinks would be most fun works for me.

Gar liser soletar bat ni!As for story ideas, how about Dragus or Random Dastardly Enemy that is sure to be beyond awesome since Dragus is writing them gets a hold of the Blackwing virus or makes a variant of it without the limitations and either unleashes it on Mandalore or raises an army of undead vicious somethings on planet x and sends them to attack Mandalore to try and start a zombie apocalypse?

Going off of the virus suggestion, another suggestion could be a variation of the FG36 which was made into a nanovirus by the Imperial Remnant, during the Second Galactic Civil War, to target those with the Fett genome (as well as the Hapan Royal Family). That's why Boba Fett became Mandalore the Exile, because he couldn't set foot on the planet of Mandalore due to the nanovirus being unleashed. The full extent of the damage is unclear and it is unknown if a cure was ever found, but imagine the fact that, in the post-Clone War eras to follow, the Mandalorians were likely largely made up of descendants of clone veterans and retirees after they were disbanded, as a military force, or went into exile/hiding. The devastation was probably at a high level when you think of it. Jaina Solo even met, and duelled, the son of a Republic Commando, Darman, and the Jedi female, Etain, Venku, who was among the many that were descendants of the clone troopers that came to settle upon Mandalore and call it home. Perhaps this enemy gets their hands on the virus, makes variations, all in an attempt to make Mandalore a husk that is easier to conquer?

Covid got y'all pandemic crazy, lol. That said, there is something there between both those ideas. - Nanogene spore- TechnobeastDragus is the father of mutants and tends to focus on flesh, so I'm thinking an errant pupil of his is out to make a name for himself and prove the superiority of his mechanical monstrosities. That way I have an opportunity to create a new and particularly vile character who stands a better chance of blending in, replete with a faux set of beskar'gam so you don't get a look at his face until the very end. Maybe there are a couple incidents that appear like plague outbreaks, while he is getting the nanovirus right. The first couple attempts just leave everyone dead, but maybe during an attempt to investigate one of these scenes of viral contamination...the dead don't stay dead. Nothing quite so horrifying as having to face down the tortured faces of your people and loved ones as they've been transformed into mechanical nightmares. Rather then necessarily for the sole intention of murdering everyone on Mandalore, since why waste all that delicious meat, the megalomaniacal plot is to transform the population into an army of beskar clad techno-horrors. There could be a couple different of different encounters all culminating in a final showdown on some ridiculous space station/ship/super weapon. Unless that's too nuts. Alright, I had to get that idea out so I can actually sleep now, so I'm off to bed.

Love it! Zombies and body horror!
I don't think it sounds too nuts at all, personally, and really like your idea of things starting off with some smaller incidents that build to a crescendo.

That’s what I was thinking of anyways. Small incidents where things are being done to sabotage the Mandalorian Assembly. I had thought of a major battle at Mandalore but also many of it’s important worlds under siege like Contruum, Concord Dawn, and Ordo before efforts are put forth to push against the enemy and strike for their base of operations. Dragus consider not only these unconventional beasts but also followers and regular soldiers. Gotta have a campaign that brings us to the ultimate battle at some location out in the Unknown Regions after all!

I am also thinking that, at the start, we are without a Mandalore. The Assembly is in power, the clans go about their daily business, the Legate commands the MDC as they watch the borders and police the planets, and such. Our Mandalore will rise when the time is right, in our storyline/war, and when the clans need to be united to face this enemy that threatens to dismantle the efforts of three Mandalores and all that the clans have worked so hard for.

I like your ideas! Maybe the smaller outbreaks take place on Ordo and so forth, with the final confrontation taking place on Manda'yaim and leading to the rise of the Mandalore?

Pretty much. A Mandalore that will rise as a champion and protector of the clans during its hardest times.
Of course, we will agree ahead of time who this is in order to make sure it isn't a drawn out affair.

May I suggest that my father not be allowed to nominate for Mand'alor?
Also some sort of massive sneak attack on Myrkr would be welcome. Something that forces Clan Australis to begin from a position of weakness, and adapt to the overwhelming force of the enemy's campaign.

Dragus consider not only these unconventional beasts but also followers and regular soldiers. Gotta have a campaign that brings us to the ultimate battle at some location out in the Unknown Regions after all! That's a good point. I know you guys want a war and such. So what if we start off on one of those Mando colonies there, doesn't really matter which, and he assaults it with a force of your typical stormtroopers or mercenaries. His intent for attacking would be to gather samples and to serve as a distraction while he tests out the virus, so we don't find out about it until more or less that first battle concludes. Then gradually the technobeasts are introduced over the course of several battles as the virus gets perfected and then towards the end they'd be more or less what he'd be using the most. It will be hard to besiege multiple worlds simultaneously without way more RPers involved, so we could almost do a Mandalorian world crawl where we start with one...get a battle and plot brewing, then when that wraps up peeps have a bit of time recover and investigate, then the next world gets attacked, and so on and so forth.

The world crawl idea sounds like a perfect way to pace things, and like you said keeps things from getting to spread out and unwieldy. Strong work Dragus!

I like it.
So we'd start of with the Battle of InsertPlanetHere, where Dragus's army begins drawing attention of Mandos. Calls for aid go out to the Clans, and forces are mobilized to meet the threat. While the Mandalorians are distracted, a devastating coordinated strike hits key targets; the yards at Mandalore, Clan Australis on Myrkr, maybe more. Myrkr is heavily depopulated and Australis military is decimated.
This is when the Mandalorians realize they are the true target and need to come together to meet this threat.

I was gonna suggest, instead, that the first strike, whatever and wherever it may be, should be on Mandalorian worlds that have had little to no activity. Worlds like Ordo, Contruum, and Obroa-saki. Especially Ordo, given that it is in right within Mandalorian Space and one of the homes of the major clans. Contruum as the most important shipyard outside of the Mandalorian home systems. Obroa-skai which is well known for its exports on technology and data.
These worlds, in my views, could use the activity more before say we hit the more active worlds of Mandalore, Concord Dawn, Myrkr, etc.
Although, I supposed Myrkr is pretty far that would present itself as a decent distraction, but you could argue Obroa-skai and Contruum in that ring too.

Galaar Vhett I'm with you. The first skirmish should be somewhere remote and quiet. I think Myrkr should happen when that first battle is drawing to a close.
