The Tuskens retreated from the room after the Jawas started shooting back. One of the Tuskens caught a blaster bolt to the back and fell to the ground dead. The remaining four gathered outside the room, safe from the ion blasts and blaster bolts now streaming from the room trying to reach them. The Tuskens talked quietly among themselves and decided to move out into the sandcrawler, taking what they wanted and leaving the Jawas in their now immobile casket. One of the Tuskens stayed behind to make sure the Jawas did not cause them any more trouble, and hid around the corner, Cycler rifle at the ready for any signs of movement while the other three began to scour the ship for anything valuable or useful.

After a few minutes of pouring fire into the general area of the door, the Jawas realized that wasn't anyone trying to enter the room. As the fire came to a halt, they could hear the Tuskens ransacking the crawler, but for the moment they were being left alone. Now that they had a few moments of breathing space, they took the time to determine who all remained. Nearly three dozen jawas left of a starting number nearly four times that many. Hopefully, the tuskens would ignore the still defended workshop room & leave. There were enough tools & materials in the central room of the crawler that they should be able to get the vehicle running again & back to a Jawa settlement. At least as long as they didn't lose too many more able hands. Fortunately there was only one way into the central room the Jawas had retreated to, the trapped door. If the Tuskens managed to get into the room, few doubted the outcome. They might be able to kill a few with the lone blaster & enough massed Ion shots, but there was no way of knowing how many of the raiders remained. For now they would wait & hope for the best. All while keeping a careful eye on the only door.

The Tuskens would take all that they could carry in their arms outside the crawler, using scrapped metal plating from inside the Sandcrawler to carry it all on. As they stacked up a sizable amount of both scrap and provisions they would move quietly in and out for nearly thirty minutes before yelling at the Tusken guarding the door the Jawas were all camped out in. The Tusken hooted back and after firing a few times into the room just to scare the Jawas into staying in the room ran out of the Sandcrawler to join his brethren
Despite the amount of casualties they considered this a good haul for the most part. While they had lost some of their kin, their shares of the loot had grown, and so they ran into the Dunes with their treasure. Either to try and survive out alone, use it to buy their way into a larger clan, or trade it for weapons and more useful resources to prepare for the next raid. Only time would tell.

The duo journeyed on the wheezing clapped out speeder bike, by some fate or another no wind or storm had picked up as of yet, forty minutes and the Ithorian skewed the bike to the side atop a ridge and gestured with his hand toward a small camp with what looked like a makeshift hut, whomever lived there had some technical know how for they had salvaged and banged together several bits of equipment to allow the small encampment to be pretty much self sufficient. "I will take you downthe other side of the ridge, but then, I think this is a journey you should make alone." El-Nu's expression was grim, but he was a born survivor, so no matter what lay in wait he would pull on through, he only hoped the old Ithorian was right and that answers lay at the end of this mad search.
Moments later El-Nu was standing a few feet away from the edge of the camp, he slowly and carefully crept forward not sure what, if anything would greet him, it seemed crazy how far he had come, how much his world, the world he had known had become something larger, in the space of three days, he had killed a Jedi, discovered the Dark side and experienced the light, being then semi guided by the Ithorian gatekeeper he had grown to realise that the power he sought and the ability to reshape his future lay in neither sphere. Naturally the gatekeeper sensing the turmoil within and possibly believing that El-Nu was too tainted or could not be convinced had decided that this man, this flamekeeper should he exist perhaps be the only one with answers and a solution.

It had been a long time since Anven had sensed anyone come to visit him in his now little encampment on Tatooine. He sure got the occasional Tusken visitor from the clan he was friendly with and maybe a random Jawa or two come to poke around his stuff or see if he wants to trade anything. But this, this one seemed different, almost as if he was a bit confused about even standing just outside his front door. Though despite what he felt about the boy, Anven came up to his doorway prepared in case this was some bandit or whatever, kind of prank and there might be more waiting for him.
And so there Anven stood, after having came walking out of the shadows of his darkened home. He stood there leaning against the doorway with the hood down of his old tattered brown cloak. He held a Tusken cycler rifle in his right hand, though it was more lazily held as he had it resting against his shoulder. He wore basic brownish garments, being a long sleeved shirt, pants, belt, an his leather boots.
As he stood there he took a long look at the boy and course looked out around his little space of encampment and a bit beyond. Seeing nothing amiss, he would push off the side of the doorway to stand straight and would just let the rifle slide down into his hand as he lowered it.
“What brings you all the way out here?"

El-Nu had witnessed a fair few things in his short life, plenty of gangs, mercenaries and Hutts, crime lords, filth and down right cut throats, yet his man cut an intimidating figure, even in his tattered ensemble, perhaps it was his bulk, or the way in which he casually yet expertly handled the crude, but powerful looking weapon. Yet there was something too about his demenour, something El-Nu could feel, yet not see. The man sure as hell didn't look like some fabled keeper of anything but rusted parts. Perhaps this had been a waste of time after all, but here he found himself regardless staring up at this powerfully built stranger, standing on his doorstep and although not quite brandishing the weapon in his face he was holding it as a propsed alternative to offering the man an explaination.
"I came here seeking some answers, I was led to believe you or someone like you might have such answers. I followed some crazed crack-pot and I see he may well have led me to another..................I don't even know really who you are. You sure as hell don't look like a Jedi or a Sith, you probably don't even know what I'm going on about. Perhaps it might be best if I just go on my way and you lower that weapon and don't shoot me."

Anven chuckled as the boy asked him to put the gun down and not shoot him, in which he was perfectly fine in doing. And so he would place his rifle inside, leaning it up against the wall before turning his attention back to the boy outside.
“Well you certainly have that right, I am neither a Jedi nor a Sith. Though what I don’t understand is what kind of answers you are seeking and why that may have brought you here, perhaps you can explain that a little more?”
He did find it curious that the boy had been led here by what he called a “crazed crack-pot” and led to believe he of all people held some answers for him. It was equally curious that the boy mentioned that he didn’t look like a jedi of a sith, could this mean he was searching for answers about the force? If that was the reason then just why not have pointed him towards the Jedi or something.
The answers to his questions very well may lay within the boy’s conflicting feelings, that he could feel slightly at the surface of his presence. Or perhaps there could be greater depth to this than even his senses could detect without actually intruding into the boy’s mind to find out more, something he personally didn’t like doing. And so to be able to determine the truth to all this, Anven stood there patiently waiting for his question to be answered in the boy’s own words.

Relieved a little to see the man put his weapon down; El-Nu thanked him and then listened to his question. The man before him was correct, indeed El hadn't mentioned anything much at all about his journey here, neither had he ventured into why he believed the man before him might be able to help.
"Truth is, I didn't want any of this, three days ago I knew nothing of the force, nor Jedi, nor Sith, nor....." He gestured at Anven forgetting the name the Guardian had used.
"Anyway, I stole from a Jedi on Nar Shaddaa, because stealing was life, it was my link to survival, upon his person he had a holocron and from its teachings I went to Ossus, but here I discovered another, an Ithorian who gave me no name, he sensed what he called the dark side within me, he said I had been tainted. He tried to teach me about the light but I think he felt I could not be convinced or perhaps that neither light nor dark was right for me. I don't even know what is what, what I am, or what to be certain of. His hope was that you, if you are the flame keeper as he promised, that you could help me achieve what he called balance. I wanted power, I wanted to reshape my world and make things better, but the Guardian told me that the dark side would not bring me this, only loss."
El-Nu held out the saber of the Jedi whom he had slain.
"Before we parted ways he said I was to keep this as a reminder to myself of where I should never tread again, to remind me of the consequences of my actions."

Anven listened to the boy’s story, and quite the tale it was. It seemed in the span of just three days he had gone from knowing nothing about the force to having been tainted by the darkside, and now was at his doorstep seeking balance. He stood there, staring thoughtfully at the boy as he took in everything that ha been said thus far. Though frowned a bit as he looked down at the lightsaber that was held out to him and that the boy was to keep it as a reminder.
"Well, I don’t know about a flame keeper or even a keeper of what I could possibly be.” He said as he looked around at his kind of pathetic looking encampment and was sure no one would find anything interesting here. He would just shrug his shoulders as he looked back at the boy. “Though what do you want?”
Anven understood that the boy was confused by all this for he had kind of admitted to that when he said he didn’t know what is what. it also sounded like much of this was just forced upon him and the boy was never really given much of a choice. Who knew what kind of teachings the holocron could of passed down to him, could of been trickery for all he knew to turn him to the darkside. Then the Guardian he spoke of seemed to believe balance would be best for him and thus why he was sent here. In the end there would be little Anven could do to help if the boy did not want to be helped and so he himself would have to choose if its this that he wants.

El-Nu regarded Anven and as he did he saw him in a different light, for the hulking powerhouse before him had shrugged off the prickly exterior and whilst perhaps not concerned for El-Nu he did appear intrigued and his interest piqued by El's plight, at least that was how El-Nu read the situation. The question came and when it did it struck within him, what did he want? He wasn't sure, and how could he, he didn't know which way was what, so the only way he believed he could make the decision would be if he was informed, be honest but also seek out what Anven could provide.
"I want the truth. I want to learn what I am capable of, learn what I can do, how to use this.....force. Yet I must ask what you will show me and how?" I no longer wish to stumble blindly."

Anven nodded as he heard the boy’s answer, it was pretty much what he should have expected. Still he let out a heavy sigh as this may be turning out to be the start of him training another in the ways of the force.
“What I intend to hopefully show you is the force in all its mysteries. How, however, is not exactly something I am sure of yet. What do you know so far about the force? You did say the Ithorian tried teaching you something about the lighside."

So the man could teach him, mysteries, now there was a word he hadn't heard anyone use thus far, yet if Anven wasn't sure how to go about it, then how exactly could it be achieved. El-Nu was no less confused then before, but to assume he would meet this man and all of sudden his new world would make sense was childish naiveity. El-Nu had to do something he found difficult to do, but was getting marginally better at doing, and that was to place his trust in another.
"In truth he did not pass on much to me, firstly my Sith tutor through the means of the Holocron largely talked about power, emotion and taking things for my own gain, the appeal was......intoxicating and whilst under that shadow I was............almost possesed. Only when freed could I see I had been under a fog. The Ithorian simply told me that the Force was an energy field that surrounded and resided in everything and it knit everything together. He didn't explain how and I don't think he wanted to impart too much. However he did say that through training and focus I could control the energy, this Force and through it shape and control my surroundings and achieve many a feet some would consider impossible."

Anven nodded slowly once El-Nu had explained what he had learned thus far in his three days of journeying around. It seemed everything explained to him had been very vague at most, even what this Ithorian guardian had said was very little. It wasn’t much, but it was at least a very basic idea of what the force is, which is better than nothing to start out with.
Letting out a small sigh, Anven would look up at the sky as he thought to himself for a moment. There was still plenty of daylight out and so they would probably have plenty of time to introduce themselves to one another and talk much about the force. Though it wasn’t like Anven was some vast scholar on the force and so he wasn’t likely to get into some long detailed history about it. So who knew, perhaps afterwards if they felt up to it, there may be some time to show the boy some stuff too
“Alright, we might as well carry on inside. Would be better than standing out here all day.” Anven would say before turning back and walking into the darkness of the makeshift hut. Inside he would walk on over to a table set up in the corner and would take a seat at it. There he would gesture for El-Nu to have a seat as well, that is if he did follow along behind Anven. Once/If El-Nu was inside and had sat down, Anven would speak up once more. “You hungry at all? There is plenty of food around if you need anything. Oh and the name is Anven.” He would say as he would stretch out a hand to shake in greeting.

El-Nu studied the man react to his story, he wasn't sure how Anven would take everything in, might he turn his back and close his door, and what would El-Nu do if such a worse case scenario were to play out? Blindly and perhaps foolishly he had placed his trust in someone other than himself and what might turn out to be a fools errand and then he would have no way to return home.
The sigh from the older man broke El's not so constructive train of thought and rather unexpectadly the man invited him inside, Anvem must have seen the look of shock on El-Nu's face for he turned and looked at him as though to check El was following, so still more than a little uncertain, but seeing being invited in as a good sign El-Nu followed the man into the bowels of his ramshackle botched together home. Catching Anven's comment about ventruing inside El responded.
"Got to beat baking in the sun."
He laughed a nervous laugh and then felt an idiot for it, he took the steps down into the semi dark room, what light that lit the room came from a few low powered service lights shacked up on the ceiling. Following Anven's gesture to a seat he took one upon an upturned wooden crate, then further to his surprise the man offered food and formally introduced himself.
"I am a little hungry.
El-Nu under exagerated, he couldn't even recall when he had last eaten, what was more when had he last, if ever been offered food. He rose and grabbed some bread and what he guessed passed for some form of cheese and he took a purple skinned fruit and a knife to eat with and then sat back down.
"Nice to meet you Anven, the name's El-Nu.....El-Nu XUnbaris.
He muttered through mouthfulls of food. He then looked around a little awkwardly looking for a topic of conversation and taken note from the lodgings in which he found himself, he asked.
"So, how long you been out........here?
El-Nu gestured around him, unsure what to call Anven's home.

Seeing El-Nu get right up and help himself to what he could find, made Anven assume that he was more than just a little hungry. The thought was a little furthered as he watched El-Nu attempt an introduction through mouthfuls of food as he seemed to eat quite hungrily. Course Anven just chuckled as he drew back his hand, willing to wait till El had finished his food before starting any real conversation.
Though unexpectedly, after looking around a bit awkwardly. El-Nu cam out and surprised Anven with a question of his own in an attempt to start up some friendly conversation. This made Anven look about his own little house as he too now wondered, just how long had he been out here now?
Staring thoughtfully into a random corner for a moment, Anven spoke up slowly as he tried to guess at the amount of time he had spent on Tatooine. “Well now, must of been…. about.” Anven paused for a moment as he stroked his chin while thinking. “I’d have to say….maybe several years now. Could be more, could be less. Not actually quite sure on the exact amount of time I been here. Certainly must of been a long time I think since I last ventured off of Tatooine. The old ship must be collecting dust by now, though I do go out quite often into the Dunes, usually venturing out with the R’Crurak from time to time or hunting when the need arises."

Years, El wondered then why Anven had come here and more importantly why he had stayed for years. Once more El-Nu had come to an alien unfamiliar planet, yet unlike Ossus he could draw some parallels between the harshness and survival rate on Tatooine as he could with Nar Shadaa.
El continued to eat as Anven spoke, he had soon cleared his plate and he studied Anven, his brow forming a frown as Anven mentioned a R'Crurak.
"Who or what is R'Crurak? Is he like you, one of your kind"
He asked, then without hessitation he rose and fetched more food before returning, questions as to why Anven had come to Tatooine and remained here could wait for no, his most recent question seemed more innocent and less prying then the others that floated around in his mind. Yet by 'kind' El-Nu hoped to steer the conversation back toward his original purpose in coming here.

A dust cloud could be seen along the horizon with the sun setting behind it. In front of the cloud was an A-A5 speeder truck gliding along the sand, it's engines kicking up dust.
*Inside the speeder truck*
Ryker had sat silently for a little while, but finally broke the silence. He looked over at Ovluv. "So, I know we were in a hurry to get underway, but when were you wanting to get the upfront payment out of the way?"

Post by Buh Shess Ovluv on Dec 2, 2016 0:41:11 GMT -8
*Ovluv let out a slight noise of surprise as he was ushered up the ramp but otherwise he only grinned and chuckled at their enthusiasm. It seemed he would be company to a colorful crew, and that would certainly make this all the more better. He took a quick look around at the decently-sizable seating space and then took a seat when offered, thanking Ryker as he did so. As far as storing gear, he shook his head.* "Oh, I'm quite alright, everything I need fits right in here!" *He indicated his jacket with a pat from both palms.
The trip hadn't lasted very long, however, when Ryker reminded him of the upfront payment. Ovluv's eyes widened in shock and he raised his hands up in defense.* "I'm very sorry! I was so excited I nearly forgot. Here." *He rummaged around in his inside jacket pocket, fishing for the appropriate amount of credit chips, then produced them and held them out for Ryker.* "10,000 exactly!"

Ryker raised his hand as to say it was no problem "don't worry about it." He took the credits and began to glance through them, making sure all was accounted for as he continued speaking. "I usually don't ask until we are underway since some of my clients are in a hurry to get away from their current situations." He finished counting and pocketed the credits and leaned back against the locker behind him.
"Besides, if you didn't have the credits once aboard my ship, I always have connections with some high paying slave traders." He chuckled slightly and had a grin on his face, but his expression was one that would leave someone wondering if he was kidding or not.
Glade's voice came over the comlink system of the transport "Brace yourselves."A few seconds later there was a jolt as the angle of the transport changed as it began climbing the ramp into one of the four large cargo holds of Ryker's ship. It wasn't long before the transport truck leveled back out and there was a loud whining as the motors for the ramp began pulling it back into the ship. The transport truck came to a rest and there was a clank as hydraulic locks held the transport in place for safe storage during travel. The cockpit doors opened and Glade stepped out and hit the button on the wall near the back of the transport too lower the back door down as a ramp, he turned as it was lowering "Home sweet home gents!" He smiled as he turned and walked down the ramp into the cargo bay of the freighter
Ryker stood and motioned for Ovluv to go ahead and followed him down the ramp. The cargo bay they were now standing in appeared to be a normal cargo bay. A large blast door was closing, giving a final glimpse of the ramp retracting from the planet's surface. There were piles of crates and supplies sitting about in no apparent order and it would appear the bay they were currently in had no real customer purpose and was mostly crew supplies. Glade was exiting the cargo bay through a small blast door which was on the opposite side of the large one they had just entered through. "Welcome to the ship!" Ryker spoke to Ovluv, his voice echoed slightly in the large room. It was apparent that he was proud of the ship in his possession. "Your currently standing in one of the four cargo bays. The ship has two bays per side atta..." The door Glade had walked through a minute ago made woosh noise as it slid open and tall man walked into the bay "Is he trying to give you a tour of this dump already?!" The man had a deep voice and a wide smile on his face. Ryker turned quickly and smiled back before looking towards Ovluv again. "Ovluv, I'd like you to meet the pilot of my ship, Jackson." He looked towards Jackson who was just walking up "Jackson, meet our newest client, Buh Shess Ovluv."
Jackson stepped up and stuck out his hand "Good ta meet ya sir."

Ryker's comment about the slave traders made Ovluv chuckle... and then pause and frown, looking to the side warily. Whether or not it truly was a joke was irrelevant; smugglers had connections, or at least the good ones did, and Ovluv had known that. He wouldn't have dared enlist their aid if he hadn't been ready.
As the truck jolted, Ovluv nearly lost his seating but was able to hold on, chuckling at his flailing and commenting,* "Should've had a seatbelt." *As the truck came to a rest and the ramp lowered, he followed Ryker down into the cargo area and took a look around. It was actually somewhat exciting, almost a sense of childlike wonder, standing inside the ship of adventurers who had no doubt made many treks across the galaxy. Of course, Ovluv had as well, though smuggling was a far different sort of adventure than research.
He eagerly listened as Ryker began to give something of a small tour, but this was cut off by the arrival of another, tall man, whom Ryker introduced as "Jackson." Ovluv immediately returned the offered handshake with a grin, replying,* "The pleasure is all mine! Especially if we meet with success here, we'll all be famous, but I'll owe it to all of you!"
