Jud raised an eyebrow to the brooding fellow next to him. "An interesting perspective on the matter..." Jud said sardonically, taking another swig of his lager. "But warm beds and burning have never gone together well in my mind."

Vallen's holocron chirped. He moved to answer the call. Vallen had been stuck on Tatooine for months. He had landed here sometime ago with the intent to join the Exchange and work for them, but that fell through. He decided that it was time that he returned to his people.
Now, the former Sith sat in a cantina in Mos Espa, slowly draining the memories of olden day from his brain as he drained alcohol from the glasses that he was presented with. An image appeared on the holocom.

Mos Espa, the famous spaceport of Tatooine. It could be seen above as a bunch of constructed sinkholes where all sorts of small craft landed to drop off cargo or to collect persons. The Nune-class Imperial Shuttle veered through the sky, gaining permission to land in a port nearby Vallen's supposed location. The shuttle descended into the sinkhole and landed. The two squads of Stormtroopers disembarked with the armored and masked Valstrol Horica in tow. For now they waited at the foot of the shuttle, waiting to see if Vallen was nearby.

Vallen left the cantina with a flick of a credit chip towards the bar. He knew that the escort would land in the nearest port. He turned that direction and headed off through the city at a quick pace. After dealing with the customs agents and skirting by some crooks who would try to charge him to enter the port, Vallen was soon at the base of the transport that landed for him. His helmet was in his hand, and with his face revealed, Valstrol could see Vallen's bionic eyes, stark white hair, and pale skin.
It's been a long time. His voice had not changed, however, as the words were still growled out.

Indeed it has been, Vallen. Many years.
Valstrol glances at the Stormtroopers, the commanding officer gave the nod and they made their way back onto the shuttle. The commanding officer knew that business was about to be spoken; business that didn't involve their ears or eyes. The Sith glances at the Stormtroopers as they filed back into the shuttle before looking at Vallen again.
Have you heard from your mother at all? She vanished shortly before the civil wars on Alzoc III and took your younger brothers and sisters with her.

Despite the sudden blast of concern that ripped through Vallen's mind, his face did not reflect it. His mother and siblings were gone? Impossible.
No. I haven't heard from anyone. I didn't even know they were missing.

Valstrol sensed the spike of emotion within his stepson. A slight sigh was heard from the helmet of the Sith. After a few moments, Valstrol then gestures for Vallen to follow him towards the shuttle.
I know your stepsister, Tyrana, is still alive. She visited Aargau for a bit before vanishing off like she usually does. Other than that, I do not know where your mother or other siblings went off to. I suspect Ambria would be a start, but I have been trying to keep a low profile for now.
Just as the Horica family was a shadow of its former self, so was Valstrol's powers. The last experiment almost seared his entire body and tangled his connection with the Force. While the Sith had regained some of his abilities, Valstrol was not a hundred precent ready.

Vallen followed his stepfather unto the shuttle. If he had a keen eye, Valstrol would notice that there were no lightsabers hanging off of Vallen's belt, but rather, there were two pistols and a rifle slung across his back.
I think it would be better if we discussed this.... elsewhere. Now, let me see what you've been up to as of late.
Vallen pressed the button on the shuttle to close the ramp up.

Valstrol hears the ramp of the shuttle close as he glances back at Vallen. He gestures to pilot who gives an affirmative nod. The engines of the shuttle roar to life as they begin to ascend.
Yes, we shall, Vallen.
The shuttle lifted up into the air above Mos Espa and then flew up towards the space above.

Vallen slid his helmet over his head and, with a hiss, it pressurized to his suit of armor. He nodded in agreement with his step-father.

A public transport landed after a long clearance process, several people left the transport while lugging personal belongings behind them. One was cloaked in black with a hood over their face, with a suitcase seeming to pull itself behind them. As this person made their way across the platform, they lowered their hood to watch the transport taking off, short(ish) silver hair freed from its fabric prison to rustle in the hot breeze. She sighed and looked around at her surroundings, not quite happy about being here, but wanting some form of entertainment. Ty could only think of one form of enjoyment at the moment and that was people watching, and of course when she would get bored again she'd probably go on a rampage.
Finding her way through the marketplace, Ty ducked under an awning into what seemed to be a dusty cafe, filled with dusty people, going about their dusty lives. She ordered a caf and sat at a corner table, pulling a datapad from her cleavage and started to look over it.

* Yet another swath of empty desert. Nothing but sand, rock, and dust. The Jawas, the Tusken Raiders, even the Banthas avoid this place. Nothing moves, until, in the distance... *
It was time.
He had waited long enough.
Girdo stalked through the desert sands, malevolently shrugging off the sand and heat, despite wearing a black hooded cloak. He had gone into self-exile for years, building up forces in the Unknown Regions. But now, it was time. Time for Girdo to return. He had landed in Tatooine's desert, with the intent to wait a few days, then trek to Mos Espa on foot. However, the local wildlife seemed to have an aversion to the Force energy Girdo gave off.
As Girdo walked, he felt a small presence in the Force, and looked up, glaring at the Womp Rat that dared to remain in his territory. Girdo stopped for a moment, and sharply twisted his hand. With a sickening crunch, the neck bones of the Womp Rat broke, and it fell to the ground dead.
Eventually, Girdo arrived in Mos Espa, and gravitated towards one of the dustier cafes. Slipping inside, he took a table at the back, and removed a datapad from his cloak. Time to catcch up on current events... When Girdo glanced up again, he was dismayed to see another being wearing black. Oh, no... I don't need another Force user's conversation right now... Too many awkward questions... Girdo quickly, too quickly, looked back down again, determined not to be noticed.

Watching the new comer enter out of the corner of her eye, Ty sighed quietly and sipped her drink. Grimacing at the taste, she pulled a small, silver flask out of her clevage and poured its contents into the drink.
Bored...
She looked around the cafe with a dullness in her expression and surpressed a yawn, only six more planets to visit in the Outer Rim before she could finally report back to her adoptive father with her reports. Planet surveying was not her favorite thing to do, but it kept her out of trouble, although she would rather be joining her Big Brother in a slaughter or two. Yet she had been out of contact from almost everyone for nearly six years now, and that's how she preferred it now. Sure she used to be something of a "social butterfly", but now she was an "adult" and she had to act as such. Taking no real interest in the other force user, she brushed her cloak to the side revealing the three saber hilts on her belt as she reached into her pocket to get her communicator. Sending off a message to her father that her surveying of Tatooine was under way, she finally turned to the man.
Don't look so suspicious, I'd think you were looking for trouble
She picked up her drink and sipped it, keeping her silver eyes locked on the man over the brim of the cup. Turning her entire body to face him, she crossed her legs and leaned back slightly in her chair, seeming to get comfortable, but keeping herself poised to spring if need be

*A black YT-1930 slowly made its way down from the planet's atmosphere and approach the terrain a ways from the city. It came lower and lower until it was merely a few hundred feet from the ground. It's speed slowed as if to only cruise above the sand and admire the view. From the cockpit, Gavin the slightest of smiles. There were many memories here. Some good, and some were nothing but terror. He had come here with his family when he was four. In that day, he witnessed his parents killed. He lost his memory when he was thrown and hit his head on a rock. His brother had been taken by the man to become a Sith and his sister just vanished. Luckily he had been found and taken to an older couple's home and was raised there. But for Gavin, history had a tendency to repeat itself. When he was thirteen, he was forced to watch as a group of Tusken Raiders slaughtered adoptive family. It was then he truly dicovered, though remembered was a closer term, his connection to the Force. It was also where he met Uriah and was taken to Yavin IV to become a Jedi. Despite the history, it was nice to see Tatooine again, despite the lack of the view.
It wasn't long before the ship made its way over Mos Espa and Gavin brought the ship down in a vacant landing spot. As he lowered the ramp and powered down the systems, he ran his hands over the consul. It had been months since his last ship had crashed on Kashyyyk, ending its many years of service. Gavin loved flying and was saddened when his journey's across the galaxy left hi at the mercy of hiring pilots to ferry him around. But after aiding the Jedi, he was finally able to get another ship, the same as his last. It didn't hold all the modifications the old one did, but it was a welcome start. Getting up from the his chair, he grabbed his trenchcoat and a large sword, slipping the jacket on and placing the sword on his back, held there only by the Force and made his way off the ship.
Stepping out into the bright sunlight, he took a deep breath And gave a sigh with a bright smile. It did feel good to be back. He had planned to return much earlier to enter his training once again, but had been delayed by not having transportation. But now he was here and figured he'd grab a drink before making any other plans. He strolled along the streets until he came to a small cafe. Stopping just inside, he shook his head and ran a hand through shaggy sandy blonde hair, as if it was made from Tatooine's sands itself. Despite trying to move it from his face, his hair sat back down in front it, covering his right eye faintly. Ice blue eyes scanned the room before proceeding to the bar. He had noticed a few the presence of a couple force-sensitives but didn't bother trying to point them out. For some reason, he was in a good mood. He had spent so many years alone. Even when he went to the Empire, then to the Jedi, it still was never the same as the days before his exile, the connections with others. Here, he felt open, just like everyone else living their daily lives.
Brushing the sides of his trenchcoat back, he took a seat, a multitude of sabers, five in fact, hung from his belt and sat in holster on his pants. Along with the large sword on his back, he looked ready for battle. Ordering a drink, he paid no mind the the suspicious look the bartender gave him, paid him and took a sip. with the two others presences in the area, he focused his own to be neutral holding no light or dark in his presence.*

Feeling another force sensitive enter, Ty sighed lightly, this one had no dark energy and she looked up. Papa had warned her to not get into trouble on her assignment, but how could she not annoy a neutral? Abandoning her drink that was more liquor than caf at this point, she stood and made her way to the new comer. Her silver eyes glancing from face to face in a bored fashion as she crossed the room, Ty couldn't stifle a yawn that came up as she stopped at the bar to get a drink before plopping herself into the chair across from the stranger. Her cloak fell open, revealing a crimson halter top and black pants, along with the three saber hilts attached to her belt. She leaned forward and rested an elbow on the table and her chin in her hand.
Hello!
She tried to sound enthusiastic, but mainly she sounded monotone due to boredom. Ty ran her free hand through her messy, short silver hair, and looked around the cafe again. All these gruffy looking people were so uninteresting it was almost criminal that she had to be here. But her papa wanted her to stay out of trouble, which is why he gave her this assignment. Oh how she wanted to just end the lives of everyone here Ugh... She surpressed her homicidal feelings and turned back to the man she now shared a table with
What brings you to this..... She looked around the cafe with disgust, thinking of the right word ... pleasant dust bowl?
Crossing her legs and leaning back in the chair, she picked up the drink the bartender had just set down and sipped it. Her eyes not leaving him as she drank and set the cup back down on the table.
That one is not very fun or talkative She smiled and hitched her thumb over her shoulder at the other force sensitive fellow before placing her hands in her lap So...?

*Gavin felt as one of the presence made its way towards him. He didn't turn to look, only waited as he took a drink. His eyes closed as she sat down and began to speak. When interacting with new people, there was always a mysterious side to him, a side that was curious but yet, untrusting. He had seen quite a few things in his life and opening up to anyone right away was unwise. As she finished speaking, He set his drink down and slowly opened his eyes to look at her.
His ice blue eyes looked her over, taking in her appearance. the blue was almost glowing and seemed to stand out in darkness. It was only after a moment that a small smile came to his face as he leaned back in his chair.*
"Pleasant? Tatooine is hardly such. It's merely a hide away for those who do not wish to be found, and the planet does make things rough at times for those who live here. Dust bowl? If only it were dust. Sand can be much more annoying, especially if its gets in certain places." *He could never forget the sand's roughness on his skin when it got under his clothes or how it'd screw up machinery.* "As to what brings me here," *He leaned forward, hiding his face behind folded hands.* "this was where I spent some of my childhood. It has been a while so I decided to visit. Also I plan to do some training here. How about you? What brings a woman like yourself to one of the hellholes of the galaxy?"

For the moment she listened to his words and then chuckled quietly. This man was indeed one for mystery it seemed from his looks that he gave her. She tilted her head slightly and smiled, before sipping her drink again and looking right back into those blue eyes.
I am here because my father seems to like keeping me out of trouble. Apparently I can't be trusted to my own devices.
Her smile was that of one who was exactly what she was speaking of.
Of course, I can't be trusted to be on my own with free time.
Her face relaxed and she seemed to perk up a little more at this conversation, finally not seeming as bored as when she first sat down.
You lived here? That's-..... She looked at him seriously for a moment, but then broke into a fit of giggles I'm sorry that just seems horrible! Ugh, I couldn't imagine living here! Sand everywhere, that's just annoying... I know i'll be getting sand out of my shoes for months to come!
She eyed him curiously before looking at her datapad a moment, grimacing that her father just sent her the request to count the population of all the indiginous species.
Oh he hates me! That rude-face! I'm not gonna do that, I'll just make up some numbers...

*Gavin chuckled slightly as he leaned back in his chair. He was finding this woman amusing, something he rarely did now a days.*
"I see. Well, to be kept out of trouble, here would definitely be the place. Sure you could kill people, but the stirring ripples it would cause would quickly fade before reaching anyone important." *His hand moved over to rest on his large sword that he had set to rest against the table. His hand wrapped around the grey leather hilt and moved his hand up and down and rotated the blade around. At the end of the hilt was a large fleur de lis like shape that was clearly a spear-like tip used for close combat. A dragon's head with four horns made up the guard with the blade protruding from its mouth. Just after it, a part curved off back under the hilt while another part embedded into its forehead and was open, used for catching a pinning other swords. At the end of its long length, two small blade curved back from the top like dragon's teeth.* "And what, may I ask, exactly can't you be trusted from, own devices or free time?"
*Gavin gave a chuckle himself. After he left, he admitted that Tatooine wasn't much a place t make a life and he was glad he left. There were far better things in the universe.* "Well, it wasn't quite my choice. There were certain..circumstances..that lead to me being raise here for a time. But I made the most of it. Well, the most one can make out here. Mostly involved high speed with speeders across the sands and through canyons."

She paused a moment thinking about what he had said, it was an innocent question about her being kept out of trouble, but she smiled dangerously and let her foot cross under the table and rub up and down the side of his calf. Above the table she leaned forward with both elbows now resting on the table and gave him a mischevious look
Oh, I was once something of a... of a "social butterfly" if you will. But papa has fought me tooth and nail to get that out of my system. Even went so far as to set me up with a political person to keep me from "embarassing myself or him" She scoffed and shook her head slightly before continuing like I really care about embarassing myself. I've been out of touch with anyone for six years so why should I worry? It's not like I'm going to randomly run into someone from then and be like "hey I know you! you slept with half the garrison and killed most of them!" I mean I've got the entire universe to hide i-
She stopped and blushed slightly, she had said way more than she had intended to and she mentally kicked herself, knowing that if Papa were here, he's be giving her a lecture about watching one's tongue. Ty sighed and looked back down to the datapad resting on the table and then back up at the man, tilting her head slightly she smiled softly
I can't be trusted by myself because I'm considered a... a loose cannon, a flight risk, a menace to society... take your pick. I think my papa thought that if I had an assignment, that it would keep me from becoming a nuisance, but damn I'm just so bored! And what's worse he said I can't kill anyone! It's just not fair....
For a moment she seemed to pout, but then straightened herself up and smiled at the man again
I'm Tyra by the way, but everyone calls me Ty

*Gavin chuckled a bit as she spoke. She had been really open about herself, and her foot rubbing against easily gave him ideas of such trouble she could be found in. Despite that, he kept watching her, unaffected by the action. He raised a hand to his head and rested it on a finger.*
"I see. That is quite the trouble you get into isn't it? I guess any father would be set for doing what was needed to keep their children out of such trouble. Who is he by the way?" *He then tilted as he thought on her time out of touch with people. Such time did take its toll, whether one way or another.* "Six years is quite a long time. I was out of touch with the galaxy for a long time as well. About ninety years I believe."
*He couldn't help but smile as she told him her name. He nodded.* "It is quite the pleasure to meet you, Tyra. I always did like that name. I'm Gavin Phoenix."
