As the rainstorm slowly stops, and dawn begins to break over the horizon, Kix and Shade return to the gatehouse command center. "Hey guys, what's new?" "Not much Kix. Those two commanders from that... army outside dropped by a few minutes ago." "Yeah? Aren't they clones from the old GAR?" "Yeah, that's what they say, Shade, and the face and armor tend to corroborate their story, but I find it a little odd that they hadn't heard any of the rumors that used to circulate among the white jobs we used to bail out, and the seppies for that matter. I mean, when you have a battalion of tinnies surrender to a lone guy wearing ODST armor, that says something about our rep. "You'd think so, wouldn't you. Then again, remember when we broke down into fire teams, for that weapons smuggling ring sting op? I vaguely recall running into that bunch. Their Jedi, Kote I think his name was, was a real nuisance. Granted, I was dressed up as generic riff-raff, so it did make sense that he wouldn't let me near their armory. Good times, good times." Kix drops into one of the seats in the room, and leans back, with a half smile on his face. Shade looks out the window. "Hey Cal, didn't you say those guys had just been here?" "Yeah, why?" "They're on their way back now. Wonder what they forgot." Calin moves to the window, and looks out. "Huh. Guess we'll find out."

The two men approach the base but slightly before reaching it their jedi general stops them."General, what is it.""How did your first visit go to the base""Great, we discussed the arrangements of being stationed here."Rex then joins the conversation and adds."Yeah we are going there now to ask if we could have a look around.""How about it Sir how about you join us. You could talk to some of the officers for a bit.""Thanks for the invitation Claw, I too would like to see this base for myself.""How's Asalla holding up.""I believe she ran into the woods for a while. She said something about finding her destiny." "That's good but lets stop worrying about the past and more on the present.""After you Sir."The three walk up to the base and go inside.

Kix looks out the window. "Oh boy. They picked up their boss on their way in." Calin, Jen, and Shade walk over to the window and look out. "Shab. Hope he ain't the type of Jedi to hold a grudge against people burning the Temple down..." "Don't worry, Shade. His commanders didn't seem to pick up on the hints we dropped during the conversation. Well, shall we go out and meet them?" Calin and his officers put on their helmets, and they leave the command center. Soldiers from Sabre Company patrol the walls. Calin and his troops meet Master Kote, Claw, and Rex just inside the gate. "So, what brings you back here so soon?"

The three smile but only Kote's is visible because of the clone's helmets. "Greetings friends I'm Master Kote from the old Jedi Order. I guess I just wanted to meet the friendly people who gave us permission to camp here. As for them two the are excited to take at look at the facility you have here. Nice to finally meet you."Claw and Rex walk up next to their general."We just feel we should get used to things and possibly have a nice little tour of the place. Hey over here would also like to join out trip. Hope you'll have us for a while."

Major Calin smirks a little under his helmet, while Lieutenant Shade actually laughs openly, not bothering to mute his speakers. "Friendly? I think that's the first time that word has ever been applied to the Cohort. Cold, calculating, homicidal psychopaths I've heard, but friendly?" Calin shakes his head in disbelief. "You aren't getting a tour of the base until I feel I can trust you more. You can come in to the courtyard, and access the cantina, if Lieutenant Spike has left any alcohol, but that's all I'm willing to permit you access to at this time." A pair of LAAT/abn drops into a landing in the courtyard, close to the main building. Troopers from Kyr'am Company unload crates from the ships, and take them into the building. Kix taps the side of his kelmet, and disables his external speakers as he opens the private channel for the unit's officers. "Hey Boss, Erik says that Captain Jessup wants to talk to you." Calin mutes his speakers, and replies. "Roger that. Jen, these three all all yours. Keep them out of trouble while I'm busy. Kix, you're with me." He reactivates his external speakers. "I have to attend to some other business. I'll leave you in Lieutenant Jen's hands for the time being." Calin turns toward the main building, and strides off, followed by Lieutenant Kix. Lieutenant Jen sweeps her gaze over the three men in front of her. "Well, anything else I can help you with?"
Calin and Kix walk through the halls of the main building, and swiftly make their way to the command center, where Lieutenant Erik is talking to a hologram of a man wearing the ODST armor, his helmet tucked under his left arm, revealing dark hair just a little to long to be regulation, a full beard, and a jagged scar starting five inches over his right pupil, crossing the bridge of his nose, and ending at the left rear corner of his jaw. At both ends of the scar, the hair covering the old injury is white. "... plan is. Not that we don't like having the ship to ourselves, just want to know if this is permanent, or what." Erik looks up as Calin and Kix enter the room. "Sir. Captain Jessup wants..." Jessup cuts him off. "Jessup wants to know what the plan is. I kind of like being in charge of the fleet while your away, but we're starting to run low on entertainment up here. Anyway you can ship some new holo-vids, or strippers, or something up?" Calin removes his helmet and smirks. "Sorry mate, no strippers. I think I can arrange for some holo-vids, but we still haven't really made contact with the locals, other than to let them know that we aren't hostile, and are ready and able to help the defend the planet if necessary. Been a bit busy dealing with the Nine-Ninety-Ninth, and their Jedi General, who they didn't slot during Operation Knightfall. Was actually having a conversation with their commanders when I was told you were calling." "Roger. Guy must be halfway decent, if you haven't thrown him out of the base yet. Well, I'll let the crew know what's up. I'll call you back if there's any issues up here." Captain Jessup salutes, and then cuts the comm channel. "Right. Erik, can you look around for some stuff to send up that we don't have in the fleet's data files? If Jessup's complaining about boredom, it must be getting bad." "Sure Boss. I'll get right on it. Need anything else while your here?" Calin looks around the room. "Nope, I think that's it. Although, I think I'll stick around a while, and keep an eye on our guests." Calin and Kix head to a security booth, and turn it's gaze on the visitors. Someone well attuned to the Force would get a vague sense that someone was watching them. Calin activates a sensor probe package, detecting any comms sent through GAR issue equipment, and if such transmissions are detected, running them through the appropriate decoding system.

There smiles turn to scowls at the disbelief they wouldn't trust them enough to give them a slight tour. Claw looks over at his General for guidance but then decides to settle this himself. He then says mock fully."Ok then thank you for telling us. We were just starting to feel welcome here. No but seriously I don't mean to intrude on your doings here so I guess I will wait till we have earned your trust before asking again."Rex slowly looks toward Claw and then at the people in front of him. He then says nervously to everyone."Umm... is that bar still available. Sorry the last time a had an alcoholic drink was back on Corescant."Master Kote laughs to himself at Rex's reactions."You have to excuse my friend here. We haven't been planetside for a while. The men are starting to get anxious over being here. As they go to your cantina can I talk to you for a while, I don't drink and I am interested in geeting to know you all." Claw takes off his helmet and shows a slight grin. Rex still with his helmet on is kind of embarrassed over his crazed apatite for a good drink."Thank you for having us I thank you for your time. I assume you're staying here to talk with the group here. Me and Rex will catch up with you later."

Jen looks at Commander Claw. "Sorry. We just... don't trust easily. Not since... Well, I'm sure you can guess." As she finishes the sentance, her eyes flicker towards Knight Kote. After a moment of awkward silence passes, Lieutenant Shade speaks up, addressing Rex. "Commander... Rex, right? I'll go with you to the cantina." Jen activates a comm line to Calin. ##"Cal, Shade's taking the commanders to the bar. I really don't want to be by myself with the Jedi. Can you send someone out?"## ##"Sure. I'll get someone out in a few minutes."##
Inside the base, Calin opens a line to the fleet. "Quinlan, is Jessup there?" "Yep." The ODST trooper turns to someone off screen. "Jessup, the boss wants a word with you." Jessup's voice drifts in from off screen. "Hope you ain't gonna fire me." Jessup walks into view. "What's up, Cal?" "I know you're bored up there, and I could use a little shock and awe down here. Jen isn't feeling comfortable talking to the Jedi alone, and you know exactly how fond I am of them." Jessup smirks. "Right. Quinlan, you have the conn. Tell Jen I'll be down in about ten minutes." Jessup walks off screen, and Quinlan comes back into focus. "Anything else you need, boss?" "No, that about covers it, Quin. Actually, tell Jessup that I said to bring two Baker Company guys with him." "Roger that, boss. Sending Lieutenant Jessi and Sergeant Tech. ETA 10 minutes." "Thanks Quin. Ground command out." Calin cuts the comm signal, and then opens a private channel to Lieutenant Jen. ##"Jen; Jessup, Tech, and Jessi are on route. ETA ten minutes. I recommend that you make sure that there is enough room for them to touchdown in the courtyard without causing damage. I'll have Angel set up a landing beacon."## ##"Got it boss."## Lieutenant Angel and three Sabre Company troopers rush out of the barracks, and begin assembling the landing beacon. Withing a minute, the job is complete. High in the sky, three fireballs appear. Jen reactivates her helmet's speakers. "Knight Kote, I suggest that we move away from the beacon." She takes her own advice, moving closer to the command center.

Kote follows the recommendation to move out of the way and towards Jen."So Jen, how long have you been stationed here and how come I have never heard of and women in the GAR army."The jedi general smiles sensing her awkwardness in the situation. He responds kindly with a simple..."What have you never seen a jedi before. You seem tense, what is the matter."He then waits for a response.Mean while in the Bar Claw and Rex are drinking a couple bottles and chatting with Shade."So how are things here at your base. I see you still have plenty of alcohol. Claw told me he saw you earlier in here having a nice drink by yourself. Are you the only one here who drinks?"Rex laughs at his question and looks over at Claw drinking his a bit at a time. Rex shakes his head in amusement at Claw's drinking and noticing him being not amused."Lighten up man and drink it already.""Rex, this doesn't feel right while I'm here drinking my vode are outside working to set up camp and defenses. I can at least do something useful during this time. The General seemed like he would like company during his "negotiations", I'm heading back. You can stay and chat with your new drinking pal.""Hey whatever."Claw walks back and Rex continues to talk.

Jen shakes her head. "We were never stationed anywhere. Major Calin picked htis as the best location to stay while we get ourselves re-familiarized with the galaxy." She shrugs. "As far as I know, Able and Baker Companies were the only units to have females in them, since we were volunteers." Her tone turns icy. "Oh, I've seen lots of Jedi. Mostly with lots of burnt holes in them. I'm sure you can guess where." At this point, the fireballs hurtle towards the compound, accompanied by a roar of ripping air. The impact knocks everyone in a fifty foot area around the impact who is not braced for it to the ground. Hatches blast off of the three egg-shaped pods that have come to rest with a thunderous crash in the courtyard, and an orbital drop shock trooper jumps out of each, two male and one female. They walk towards where Lieutenant Jen is standing, having braced herself for the impact. The lead soldier tugs his helmet off, revealing dark hair just a little too long to be regulation, a full beard, and a jagged scar starting five inches over his right pupil, crossing the bridge of his nose, and ending at the left rear corner of his jaw. At both ends of the scar, the hair covering the old injury is white . He nods to Jen, then turns to Kote. "You must be the commander of the troops outside. I am Captain Jessup, commander of Baker Company. With me are Lieutenant Jessi and Sergeant Tech." The two soldiers nod as Jessup says their names.
Inside the cantina, Shade walks behind the bar to get to where the better quality liqueurs are stored. "I'm guessing you saw Lieutenant Spike in here earlier. He's our resident alcoholic." Shade scans the room with his eyes, then loudly speaks. "Yo, Spike, if you're conscious, come say hi to our guests." A soldier with slicked back peroxide blond hair peers unsteadily up from one of the booths. "Keep it down, Shade. Some of us have hangovers. Us being me, my stomach. and my head. And don't touch the Geonosian tequila. That's my secret weapon for poisoning anyone who annoys me." Shade laughs, and directs his attention back to Commander Rex. "Well, if Spike is avoiding a certain drink, that really says something about the quality..."

Kote gets a painful burn inside of himself after hearing that she was part of the raid on the jedi temple and the force sensed danger in this situation. Thinking to himself he wondered if it would be safe for him to be hear in their presence. As he thought Claw entered the room in a rush to be near his Jedi General during negotiations. Kote saw Claw his loyal friend who threatened his life for him. He thought of all the clones and knew they liked it here and that they should come first."Sir, how are things going here alone."Kote looks at him with a saddened face but seeing Claw made it a bit happier. Claw was a little confused at first but he knew something was said to his friend so he sort of understood. After mustering up enough confidence to continue talking he started to talk again."Well I'm their Jedi Generals but honestly It's my Commanders Claw and Rex who share control along with me. Nice to meet you Jessup and you all."Claw steps forward toward Jessup to talk to him and nods his head in greeting."I'm Commander Claw from the group outside setting up camp. Sorry my partner isn't hear, he's currently getting drunk in the cantina. Nice to meet you Jessup, is it? Oh yes it is sorry, I'm not the best with names."Claw removes his helmet revealing a warm smile and tucked it underneath his arm. With his free hand he goes for a handshake.
Back at the cantina Rex is drinking a nice large glass of some refreshing alcohol while avoiding the geonosian tequila as warned. He sat back and put his feet up on the table as he talked to Spike. "HeY bUdDy."Noticing he was starting to get drunk slapped himself to get out of his daze."Sorry this is some strong stuff you got here. Definitely better than drinking recycled water while in that cruiser of ours."Rex waits for a reply as he chugs down another glass of fine alcohol and exasperated in appeasement.

Lieutenant Jen glances at Claw as he returns to the courtyard. Captain Jessup follows her gaze briefly, then brings his eyes back to rest on Knight Kote. The soldiers have their assault carbines clipped to their chestplates, in such a way as to be ready to hand, but not held in an offensive manner. Having heard the conversation from inside, Major Calin strides out from the main command center, his helmet on his head, and in full combat attire. Captain Jessup turns to respond to Commander Claw as Calin addresses Knight Kote. "I see that you understand exactly what the Lieutenant is referencing. Understand this as well. If we still held a grudge, or were inclined to continue following those orders, you would never have seen the shot that killed you, let alone our base." Calin pauses for effect. "While it will take a long time for us to consider you and your men as friends, if such an event ever occurs; we have permitted you access to the base as allies. You need not fear for your life, or the lives of your men." As Calin speaks to Knight Kote, Jessup nods to Commander Kote, and accepts the handshake. "Captain Jessup. I guess the fiery landing made an impression."
In the bar, Lieutenant Shade looks over at the semi-drunken commander, then at the drink in his hand, then back to Rex. "Yeah... So... You guys must really not have much of a tolerance for alcohol. Muja schnapps is about the least intimidating thing out there. Gotta say, it does have a nice flavor though."He turns his head toward where Spike is lying. "Hey Spike, how much of that Geonosian crap did you drink before you passed out?" A groan emanates from Spikes chosen booth. "I dunno... The bottle'sh around here shomewhere..." Sounds of bottles clinking together can be heard from his booth. After a few minutes, Spikes hand rises above the seat back, holding a bottle that is three quarters of the way empty. "About this much? I ate the larva too." "Fierfek, Spike. I should get Kix and at least half our med staff in here... A full bottle of that crap would probably kill a Hutt." "Yesh, well. I'm a bit tougher than a Hutt, I reckon. You remember..." Spike pauses, registering that Rex is not from the 501st. "That last op. Blast it all..." He stands up, and stumbles his way to the bar."Now I need to wash that down again..." Spike grabs a bottle labeled shuura vodka, yanks the cork out, and starts guzzling it. Shade shakes his head.

Kote feels a sense of being relieved of his internal fear. He puts on a small smile to show he is feeling better to Claw."Thank you for not killing us I assume. We are very thankful you have allowed us access to this lovely planet of yours."Claw looks over again and sees the light smirk and notices the fact his commanding officer is feeling alright after being reminded of the fall of the jedi order. Claw remembered when he had to tell Kote that his jedi friends back at the temple were slaughtered. The look on his face was a expression Claw have never seen before on Kote, a face of pure grief and horrific fear. Claw always knew Kote as a light hearted man who cared about everything around him. He even let down his defenses in battle to help one of his brothers on many occasions. Now that he has seen this friend and General of his change into something of a heart broken man who has no place in the galaxy except here to be with him. Claw knew Kote's everyday struggle to go on and to fulfill his promise to stay with his friends till the end of his life. While thinking to himself he nods to Kote showing he is ok and steps forward."Thank you for everything. You all have been so gracious to us after we have done nothing for you. That really says something about you. Thank you for your time but we have to get back to setting up camp here."Claw waves farewell to the general as he goes outside continuing to think to himself."I assume I'll stay here and talk for a while with the people in charge about arrangements. Before leaving the door Claw adds one last thing."Oh and yes your entrance was very spectacular."Claw continues to walk out and smiles under his helmet also in relief.

Major Calin nods toward Commander Claw as Claw leaves. Jessup smirks at Claw's acknowledgement of the orbital drop landing. "No problem." Despite Knight Kote's attempts to disguise his feelings, every soldier is able to read him, due to the necessity of being able to read another person's body language when wearing full armor with enclosed helmets. "There is an ancient Jedi Enclave not too far away from here, if you want to visit it. I've heard that it has quite the history."

*Asalla walks silently in the forest. Thoughts of the strange dreams she had had earlier were stirring in her mind. She thought about going back to Master Kote but she needed a little more time to think.*
"Why am I seeing this stuff? What does it mean? What's happening to me?!"
*Asalla growls at herself in anger that she can't sort things out. Stamping her foot on the ground, the dirt trembles slightly. Suddenly, whispers flow by Asalla's ear making her flinch.*
"Who's there?" *Pulling out her lightsabers, Asalla turns around to find the source of the voices. She sees no one but the whispers continue. Asalla can't make out the words, almost as if it's in a language she doesn't understand.* "Show yourself!"
"Young Jedi. It's been a long time." *Asalla turns a second time to see a dark, hooded figure. It wasn't Gwydion that was for sure. It was about six foot seven with no armour and no weapon.* "What do you mean, "It's been a long time?" I don't know you. And more importantly, what do you want?" *The figure, most likely a man, steps closer to the Asalla while she twirls one of her lightsabers defensively.* "We never officially met but I know you quite well, Asalla Dy. I've been watching you and have seen how you've achieved your goals and how you have grown in the ways of the Force." *Asalla grimaces and hesitantly steps closer still gripping her lightsabers.* "I know what you're leading up to. What do you need me for?" *The man waves his gloved hand and Asalla's eyes instantly change to a fiery gold.* "A purpose in which I want your master's trust."

Calin taps his helmet as the message from the IAS Crimson Skies is transmitted to his helmet. "Well, those sep ships are online... Quin has got firing solutions on them, and is angling the ships so that Baker Company can use an ODST ingress solution, if things go south. We've also got a starfighter approaching."

-The Cantina- In the dimly-lit rear corner of the base cantina, Gwydion observes the three soldiers drinking. After a short time of this, he senses a slight disturbance in the area around the base. He silently allows his corporeal form to fade out of existance, and leaves to investigate.-The Forest- Gwydion silently approaches where Asalla and the unknown figure are conversing. As he does so, he cloaks his Force presence, although one truly attuned to the Force would be able to discern him as a lingering shadow. He stands in the shadows of a tree to further disguise his presence, and prepares to observe the rest of the meeting for his own purposes.

An urgent comm signal is recieved from the fleet. Lieutenant Erik immediately sends it to Calin's helmet. --"Hey boss, it's Quin. We have an issue. A small freighter entered the atmosphere without receiving clearance, and landed at the old Jedi Temple. I have the fleet's turrets locked onto it, if you want to destroy it."-- --"Thanks Quin. I'll take out a patrol to investigate. Keep the target locks on."-- Calin opens a comm channel to the ODST soldiers in the base. --"All troopers, I need ten volunteers for a patrol. We have an unrecognized ship that ignores our fleet, and landed at the old Jedi Temple. I want every trooper to have at least two magazines loaded with phrik.--" Calin pauses, remembering the last time they had dropped into a fight with phrik ammunition in their weapons - the Jedi Temple during Order 66. --"The first ten who meet me at the main gate are my volunteers."-- Within five minutes, ten soldiers are assembled in front of the gate, fully armored, and with fully loaded weapons. Calin nods to Lieutenant Kix, then turns to the rest of the assembled troops. "Good to see you all. We're going to investigate an unknown freighter that has landed at the ruins of the Jedi Temple without clearance." Calin looks over the load-out of the troopers in front of him. Lieutenant Kix carries his M7, along with extra medical gear. Sergeant Victor and Corporal Bale both have their M7's slung at their sides, and carry RPS-6 rocket launchers with six extra rounds attached to their backpacks. Sergeant Fier carries a flamethrower as well as his issue M7. Sergeant Gavin, Corporal Rale, Corporal Bale, and Corporal Craul all carry their M7's, with plenty of ammo. Corporal Jordan carries a Z6 rotary blaster as well as his M7, and Corporal Jaeden has a grenade launcher attached to his M7, and fifteen grenade rounds strapped to his left thigh plate. The LAAt/abn nicknamed "Black Death" drops into the courtyard, as Sergeant Gavin tosses four magazines of phrik rounds to Major Calin. "Right. Let's move out." The eleven soldiers board the gunship, which takes off towards the ancient Jedi Temple.

Claw observes the Death's Cohort troops deploying on gunships. He decides to sit down and wait awhile instead of going to discover what is going on. Claw knew what is happening, he saw it before in his three years of warfare. He knew what it looks like when a force is deploying to an emergency situation. Claw felt worried but felt reassured because he knew that Death's Cohort could handle it."I should probably check that out later after I take care of my own."Claw was about to stand up but because he was tired he quickly went back down and had to rest. Over at the campsite Sevens a standard trooper (with a heart of gold) looks up away from what he was doing and spots a figure sitting elevated on a small rocky hill. After further examining he depicts the figure as the Commander. He finishes pitching up the tent he is working on that would be able to house some more troops. These will be stationed here when some troops go back to the cruisers for awhile to rest. Sevens then decides to go climb up the hill from behind to talk with him. As he walks up the hill he can just wonder what is going on with the situation here at the base. He reaches his destination and calmly taps Claw's shoulder and begins a conversation."Hey there Commander how are things going lately around here."Claw smiles from beneath his helmet and turns around on the rock he is sitting on and pats on the rock next to him in a gesture for Sevens to sit down. Sevens accepts the offer and takes a seat next to his Commander, Claw."Nice for you to join me and thanks for coming up to talk for awhile. The negotiations between me, Rex, the General and Death's Cohort is going well but I don't for how long. They don't seem to be very trusting of anyone except their own forces.""Well If they didn't like us I think we would know by now."Claw knows that Sevens is joking around with him but only if he knew what they are capable of. Sevens removes his helmet and reveals a gentle smile towards Claw. Claw decides to remove his helmet as well and also is smiling."I just hope that someday thinks will start to work out for us. I know that all of you can take care of yourselves but I'm your commanding officer and I have an important responsibility to keep you all comfortable and alive. We have been on that cruiser for the past few months and we are starting to run out of supplies like food and recycled water. We all have been surviving off of ration cubes for the last month anyway and that's starting to deplete.Sevens places a hand on Claw's shoulder in a cheering up sort of way. Claw stops looking at his men on the plain and looks over at his friend who cares for him.[/span "don't feel bad Sir, you are doing an excellent job. It's just we need a permanent place for us to stay in and call home.Claw starts to smile again after Sevens' kind words."Thanks Sevens you are our greatest and only moral boaster and I hav to again express mine and everyones gratitude for you being here."Sevens then feels all warm inside and nods to his Commander in thanks. They then continue to chat on.
