After several moments of silence, a deep but very female voice came through. This is Kala'uun space authority. We cannot contact a planetary leader at this time. Rumors are... The voice regained composure. Senator Crom'nen is in command and is engaging the enemy in Lessu.

Shihab was annoyed, but realized that he had only himself to thank for the current breakdown in communication. He responded immediately, with courtesy. Thank you for your rapid response, I speak for task force Warden commanded by Admiral Sujay, He'll be coordinating with you on establishing and maintaining local space superiority. Please send word to Lessu informing Senator Crom'nen of my imminent arrival, use open broadcast if necessary, I'm accustomed to making hot landings. Shihab hoped that his miss-communication of the Rear-Admiral's rank would help minimize the volume of flak coming from Sujay later, as Shihab was aware that he had a lot to answer for, and very few ... acceptable answers. Shihab started his bulight engines, and began moving towards Lessu. He checked that his shields were up and at full charge as he went, as he felt certain he was going to need them.
I listen to the comm chatter as the nut who'd dragged us off schedule, though admittedly he seemed to have good reason, sought and was denied comm access to the senator. My head rocks back in mild shock as I hear that the senator is personally leading the defense of Lessu, and grudgingly I note that the man just might be worthy of my respect, even if he is a politician. I quirk an eyebrow up when the Jedi decides he's going to flee to the planets's surface instead of staying with the task-force and wonder if he'd somehow sensed my animosity towards him. I'd still be having a talk with him later, but it looks like the bastard has left me the paperwork, how kind. I order a comm channel to be opened with the Kala'uun Space Authority, and get to work.
Kala'uun Space Authority, this is Rear-Admiral Pallav Sujay, CO of the Republic Group Warden. How may we assist you in establishing friendly control over the space around Ryloth?

The female voice began to reply, then was interrupted by a male voice, obviously angry.
With all due respect Jedi and Admiral, the last Jedi controlled Republic fleet that came to "help" us left a ship to ram into the capital, killing thousands, and fled to let us be overrun by pirates. What in the name of Kika'lekki makes you think we want your help?
The female voice returned. Sorry. We seem to have some interference. Jedi, we have had trouble reaching the Senator. We presume he is in a firefight. Admiral, we've had slavers come out of the woodwork kidnapping fleeing refugees. Any help in stopping those ships would be appreciated. Our Chir'daki can only do so much.

The Admiral was intrigued by the response given by the male voice. He responded immediately, as any warrior with half an once of self respect would. He also noticed that the Jedi failed to respond except to continue his journey into the atmosphere.
Kika'lekki I do not know, nor is Warden under the command of a Jedi, though it does bear a Jedi in it's ranks. You may not want our help, but I am obligated, by my orders and honor, to assist your people as republic citizens in any way I can. Consider the slavers apprehended for further processing by Ryloth Justices. If your Chir'daki would be kind enough to coral the smaller slavers towards one my ships, I'll be sure they are neutralized, with minimal losses. I don't have any boarding craft, nor soldiers to spare for boarding, so I cannot guarantee the safety of any captured citizens, only that they will not be sold as slaves on another world.
I order all Blastboats to launch and begin disabling all vessels larger than two being ships leaving the system and the four upgraded dreadnoughts move into a tetrahedral formation over the planet, using their fire-arcs creating four connected triangular planes encompassing the planet. With in twenty minutes all eight Blastboats are racing through space, utilizing their Ion cannons to immobilize smaller vessels while larger vessels were targeted by three of the four dreadnoughts which used their dual-light turbolasers, with highly surprising accuracy for a novice crew, to knock out engines(Which is actually very unlikely to cause a main reactor overload and thereby a complete destruction of the ship). Sensor officers begin looking for ships with high concentrations of life forms packed into a proportionately small space, a typical slaver tactic used to maximize their profits, and tag them as slavers.

Acknowledged. Our Chir'daki are spread across the planet, trying to prevent takeoffs and aid ground troops, but they will do their best. We will relay the Senator as soon as we are able to locate him.
Adding to the difficulty of the ships in orbit are civilian ships who are legitimately fleeing the war torn planet, making it hard to distinguish friend from foe. There is also debris from battle, and of course, the enemy.

The eight blastboats did what they could, using their ion cannons to disable light freighters that were packed with life signs, while medium and large freighters were targeted by the larger Dreadnaughts, which focused their fire on the engine sections of the freighters, leaving them sitting dead in space. All the vessels worked hard to minimize damage to the ships, but Sujay ordered that they err on the side of certainty rather than caution. Any light freighters offering resistance found themselves dealing with a missile or torpedo, as well as the blastboats Ion cannons, which unfortunately caused a few freighters to begin venting atmosphere and one to breakup entirely, sending bodies and parts floating out into the void. On the flip side, those vessels that could be cleared by Kala'unn Space Authority, as legitimate vessels that had not been hijacked by slavers, which took some time unfortunately, were allowed to leave the system. Any vessels approaching the Dreadnoughts directly would be vectored onto a new path, and anyone foolish enough to attack them, soon met the fury of the ships' dual light turbolaser cannons. Space debris were slowly cleared by LR turbolaser blasts from the Dreadnoughts, after it had been confirmed that no life forms were aboard the debris. All fighter sized ships were ignored until they proved hostile, at which point they would be eliminated systematically by gunners aboard the blastboats and dreadnoughts. The enormous drain on the Dreadnoughts was being met, for now, by drawing energy from the engines into weapons, and the Dreadnought's two reserve reactors.

Not even Admiral Edmund Blackadder was rude enough to come in a Victory-class Star Destroyer to do a diplomatic mission. The victory may preserve his beloved ass from most kind of harm, but it would have bad reception. So, the Ardent class Fast Frigate "The Edmund I" exited hyperspace by one of the official hyperspace lanes, transmitting its presence with all clearaty and engaged shields just in case. It bore the insigna of the Juvex Corporate Policing Force. A seven pointed star dragging a light strip in an arc around a three pointed star.
The two men entered the bridge. The one listening was a middle aged man with a large moustage and slightly curved back. His features and bodylanguge would get the idea of a veasel inside their heads. THe tall one, the one who talked too much and waved around in gesticulation looked like an overgrown schoolboy.
-Cpt. George- "Ah, finally our mission starts, a mission of peace and prosperety. Isnt is wonderfull sir? Doesnt it cheer you up?-
-E. Blackadder- "George, save me the dribble. This could be done by any low ranking diplomat schmug. This is a shamefull task for a former imperial Admiral of the Phoenix Imperium, and degrading. This mission, George, is a distraction. It doesnt even have to succeed. In short, Its Bollocks.
That stopped the younger officers hopes and amitions, he even had to think over his next words, because, well, things didnt seem that way when he was chosen by Blackadder as a volunteer for this mission. Yes... chosen. Some imperial standards do not change.
-Cpt. George- "But... but sir? Then why did we all volunteer for this mission if it is beneath you?"
The two walked over to the Captains post, and started looking over the different reports and sistem checks. A short, ugly, rather unhygenic snivvian like human hunkered over to the Admiral with a cup in his hand. THe admiral himself looked out through the viewport, laying his reports aside for now and just watched the planet of Ryloth, both that hot searing side and the cold dark side. He drank the coffee and spat with a grimasce.
-Cpt. George- "Sir... why did we voll..."
-Blackadder- "Oh Emprors Boxershorts! BALDRICK! tea, not engine oil."
-Cpt. George- "Sir, why did..."
-Pvt Baldrick- "Sorry sir, must have missheard. Was wondering what good milk and sugar does for it..."
-Cpt. George- "Sir, about the volunteering and..."
-Blackadder- "Out of my sight and airspace Baulders, you are bringing down morale."
The ugly private hunkered off to watever other duties he had and left Captain george, whom had been trying to get a word in all along to finally speak. The Admiral continued to stare at the planet before.
-Cpt. George- "Sir, about the mission. If its so horribly bad, why on earth did you sign us all up?"
-Blackadder- "Easy George. You have to think back. What were we?"
-Cpt. George- "Proud Officers of the Pheonix Imperium, one of a kind, best at their jobs, bravest in combat and charming to the ladies!"
-Blackadder- "Whatever gets you to sleep at night... But... what are we now?"
-Cpt. George- "Well... proud preserversl of Imperial Ethics and values, upholders of mighty doctrine!"
-Blackadder- "Yes, and we piss wine. We are a palamilitary force that just assaulted and cleaned the largest illegal spice mining colonies in the galaxy, and we did all for personal gain.. Thats not Imperial, thats Piracy. And what happens to pirates?"
-Cpt. George- "Hanging, of course, Sir!"
-Blackadder- "That, or they get filthy rich."
The admiral grinned.
-Blackadder- "I intend to die old and filthy rich, Captain George, but above all, happy. What we will be doing for the next year, is smile at meetings, eat free food, and bugger wormheads all day in palaces. Gorgie-boy, WE MADE IT! Finally this god damned war is over and we came out winning. Tailheaded whenches all around in Diplomatic immunity paradise!"
The admirals smile faded as soon as red lights started to go off and a sensory officer screamed from his booth.
-Sensory Officer- "Sir, seems like there is some kind of fighting in the capital, Lessu, and there seems to be a flotilla in orbit."
The Admiral slammed his palm onto his face and grunted.
-Blackadder- "Get in contact with whomever.... and ask them why cant they just get along?"
------------------------------------------------------
Open Transmission in Ryloth sistem.
This is Juvex Corporate Security Ardent-class Fast Frigate designation " The Edmund I". We are a friendly wessel on a diplomatic mission from the worlds of Juvex, extending an olivebranch of peace and negotiation. Admiral E. Blackadder Wishes a meeting with a govermental Official.
The voice was stern and Imperial.

Sujay was immediately notified of the arrival of the arrival of the frigate, and was about to order a channel be opened when he heard it's broadcast. He motioned for the comm-officer to broadcast his response. The initial storm of fire and debris was beginning to slow down to something manageable. He didn't need more trouble dumped on his plate.
Edmund I, this is the Ryloth defense force, I regret to inform you that all traffic to the planet has been temporarily suspended due to excessive slaver traffic in the system. Advise you return at a later date, with invitation from Ryloth's governing body or it's representative. We apologize for the inconvenience, but are unable to host a visitor of your status at this time and so must decline your request.

-Blackadder- "Oh bloody hell, why do I get dragged into this?"
Just as the door opened to the bridge lower down the middle walkway, Cpt. George leans down to Admrl. Blackadder, and whispers
-Cpt George- "Sir, heels on your six."
The twilek woman donned the local Juvexian fashion for political appearence, but everyone knew what and who she was. A banshee.
-Blackadder- (Whispering to George) "Bugger. I bet my left sock she knows whats going on." (To 20) "Greetings, miss, What... is it?"
-20- "Six wants a situation report."
-Blackadder- "Good you showed up. I was about to ask Bateman if we had any operations in the area, Seems to me, there is a large slaver problem that upsets the Rylothians digestion."
-20- "We know of this. It is not our operation, an unknown factor. We do not care how, but you will land this ship on ryloth, and not as enemies. DO it."
-Blackadder- (Said with the utter lack of ambition or interest) "Yes Miss... Will do miss."
The Banshee known as 20 walked off, and blackadder started massaging his temple.
-Blackadder- "Captain George, when we are done here, Fetch me Bauldrick, I need something far more pathetic then me standing close so I can feel better..."
------------------------------
-Blackadder to Sujay- Ryloth Defence Force, I see ten Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruisers on my sensors, and I do understand your concern. Listen here, I happen to sit in a top of the line imperial fast frigate, and happen to be an ACTUAL warship and not a floating space station. What do you say, we help out with your back yard and you get us a meeting with some bigwig blueblood tailhead.

The fact that the Dreadnaughts were highly modified, and very nearly another ship altogether, was not brought up, in case it should come in handy later. Sujay immediately responded to the frigate's request. He had nothing against them, there just wasn't any way he could help them as far as he could see.
One rather large problem with that idea, sir. To my knowledge, there are no surviving bigwigs on the planet. They have all either fled, been killed or captured, or worse tried to secure a slice for the profit for themselves. As you say, your ship is a ship of war, and as such I cannot permit it to land on Ryloth in it's current state. It doesn't need more war, but resolution of the current conflict. Be advised, best option may be to seek the Republic representative of Ryloth on Coruscant.

-Blackadder- "We can still turn this... George... find out for me the medical and foodstock inventory. And get me Percy and that bafoon. I have a mission for Captain Darling and Lord Flasheart."
--------------------------------------- -Blackadder to Sujay- This is a warship, and it runs in space. I never intended on doing speelunky with it in Ryloths caves. See it from our perspective. We are tasked to start the Juvex - Ryloth relationship. There is a crysis of unknown sort when we arrive, and, as all warships, we are also equipped with some amount of humanitarian aid and landing craft. What would you do in our shoes? Turn to Coruscant and start a years long byrocratic process, or stay hear and help out the people you are here to meet.
Look, this IS a warship, and that is because space is not safe. It is a warship, so we can protect ourselves, and we are willing to share of that protection. Maybe we even find some bigwig to talk to. I have an escort squad of five X-wing fighters in my hangars, I am willing to loan them to your command as both defence force and... well... hostages. Along with some of my command staff, and let them stay untill we depart. In exchange, I will send civilian clothed officers and crewmen to give medical and supply aid to civilians, plus protection if needed. You seem to need it, out of what you are telling me. If what you say is true, the head of your wormheadded snake is cut off, and you could need some ACTUAL discipline and order.
I am willing to help out, in the name of peace and future good relations.

An angry male voice came on the line.
=Kala'uun starport authority= Unidentified ship, this is Ryloth ground control. If you wish to establish diplomatic ties, using bigoted terms like tailhead and wormhead is a heck of a way to start. We need you help like Camaasi needed help from the Empire, or the Jedi needed help from Darth Vader. Screw off.

Blackadder pulls his black gloves off and throws them at the monitor in frustration.
-Blackadder- "Bollocks. This is why we had a diplomatic corps.
Inform the engineers. Get a stealth X fitted with a passanger compartment. If the Miss wants Six down on the ground, she will get it. Tell twenty or thirty four or whatever number that her wishes can fit in her hindside. Have Flasheart fly her down to Kaluun, or Kalaluun, or whatever these wormies call their caves.
And bring me propper tea."
The Ardent class slowly turned, and started for the Hyperspace Lane to position itself for jump. Just before it jumped, a StealthX flew out of its hangar, modified to carry a person. It had stealth X technology activated, and headed for what it believed was Kala'uun, but, without sensors or comms, Lord Flasheart could get rather lost...

Well, that, as they say, was that apparently. Good news, the fact that these were almost completely different ships from their base ancestor meant that the Stealth-X was noticed. Bad news, with everything else that was going on, a tentative sensor contact was almost a frequent occurrence, so only the fact that this one seemed to be plotting an almost straight line from the departed ship to Ryloth brought it any attention. One of the light-turbolaser batteries were assigned to shoot it down, but you might as well try shoot a ghost with a colt .45 at two hundred paces. You have roughly equal chances of hitting, though this case might prove more effective, should a hit actually be scored. In all likely hood, the craft might see one, possibly two, near misses in the whole trip. A signal is sent ground side.
Ground control, be advised, we are trying to destroy a possible stealth craft approaching the planet. Current position and heading of inbound craft is uncertain, we're not even entirely certain that there's actually something there. We aren't equipped to deal with stealth threats, an oversight for which we apologize.

-Lord Flasheart- "WOOF WOOF! Dont worry miss! We are being shot at, but I can handle it."
-6- "SHUT UP YOU BAFOON AND KEEP THE G-S LOW!"
-Lord Flasheart- "WOOF WOOF! Never! The G is my friend! Its a spot that makes "birds" scream..."
-6- "Woof woof, I know. Shut up."
The ship dodged with skill and a well working stealth sistem. THis would have been a lot harder without it. A few beams were rather close, but then the ship hit athmosphere and was soon gone to the surface. After all, this was Lord Flasheart, the best flying ace in the galaxy (self claimed). Six sat in a cramped comparktment that was retrofitted instead of the astromech droid. She was sharing this space with a small nav computer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Edmund I exited hyperspace at the closest planet, and went behind it. Long range sensors might have picked it up just before it went behind said planet and put itself on an orbital position. Admiral Blackadder realised the irony of the situation. He was supposed to be down on the surface, while Flasheart should be waiting in space for the Miss to arrive. This was a really badly made imperial mission he realised, but he didnt care. He wasnt imperial no more, he was a pirate.
So, he waited for the Miss to arrive.

As the Stealth-X moved into the atmosphere, the dreadnoughts lost it completely and returned to the nearly endless task of cleaning up the space over Ryloth without sending anything else crashing to the surface below. By now actual traffic was beginning to slow to a trickle and the occasional slaver, or smuggler, ship attempting to run the gauntlet was usually dissuaded from leaving the planet before it left orbit, though a few ships tried to get through and all were successfully disabled by the nearest Dreadnought's Ion cannons. The Black adder's dodge behind the farthest planet went unnoticed, there was simply to much going for the brief blip on the long range sensors to be noticed.

The Kala'uun space authority did their best, but detected nothing. Their only saving grace was the massive, closed blast door that protected the Starport itself. It was a necessity for an entrance so close to the Brightlands.

Fleet Glass Eye Brass was bored. George thre the red ball to Blackadder in the conference room of the Ardent. Blackadder was sitting in a chair, lazily turning it left and right in boredom, George stood, leaned to a wall, and Baldrick was sitting in a corner, examining a scab he had scratched off his forehead.
-Blackadder- "What I miss about the Pheonix Imperium was the fact that we were not babysitted all the time by tailheaded minxes trying to get our hinds in the line of enemy fire. Sure, the Miss sent us to combat back then too, but never without the entire fleet."
He trew the ball to George.
-Lt George- "What I miss about the Pheonix Imperium was the balls Emperor Lyndruss set up. Gorgious dresses and sharp outfits, parphume and food and the occasional rivalry between commanders. I remember once, the miss killed a man by screaming at him."
-Blackadder- "You werent there you bafoon, and he didnt die, just... I dont know, got silly."
George threw the ball to Baldrick.
-Baldrick- "Blue."
-Blackadder- "Thats not how you play. You are supposed to say what you miss about the Phoenix Imperium."
-Baldrick- "Red then."
Just as they collectively facepalmed, the call from the bridge came that the ship they waited on has arrived. They went up to the bridge to watch as the two ships docked. "The Inner" was a special ship. There was two of its kind in the entire galaxy, and this one was stolen from its creator long ago. The herceles class escape corvette was ugly to the untrained eye but to a military person, it was perfection. It resembled a Corellian corvette with two sets of Ion engines. One on the back where it usually is, and then one more on the front, set on a scaffold that could angle the engines slightly adding mobility. It only had one conventional cannon, a quad laser on the dorsal side. It had two more subsistems to mention. The powerfull Sensors Scrambler, and the Ab-P Rocket Defence Sistem. To add: All windows and viewports had windshieldwipers.
The Ardent "Edmund I" and "The Inner" docked, and blackadder was standing in attention with his entire command crew, in waiting for their commander.
The beautifull yellow twilek was clad in Imperial Admiral white. Atia chose this garb because it cept the idea in the head of the fleet that this was still in a way an imperial fleet, and not what it actually was. Pirates. It wasnt just a Force Witch they obeyed, but their rightfull commander from the Empire. Of course, nr. 20 was there, with two other banshees, waiting for the Mistress to give them the right to speak.
-Blackadder- "Mistress, always a pleasure to receive you on your ship."
Blackadder had learned pretty fast never to mix and match with terms of posession. The Mistress was very concerned about things like that. The ardent may be commanded by E. Blackadder, but it wasnt his.
"It wont be soon. Judging the face of my beloved banshees, there are no good news awaiting me."
-Blackadder- "Oh, but there is."
As the discussion went on, more banshees emerged from the narrow pathway between the two ships, and surrounded the Admirals retune.
-Blackadder- "I sent down number Six as you requested, alas not on friendly terms with the Rylothians. I had a bit of a snivel so I had to trust Captain Percy with the negotiations, a misstep on my part. When I got to the comms the damadge was allready done and we had to leave, so I sent down Lord Flasheart to deliver Six."
"I see. A snivel, is it?"
-Blackadder- "Yes Mistress, the kind that makes you cough. Not good for Diplomatic negotiations."
"And what was the damadge?"
-Blackadder- "Racial Slur, Mam."
"Like?"
-Blackadder- "Tailhead... Wormhead... the likes."
"I see."
-Captain Percy- "Mistress I didnt NO!"
He didnt have time to react, the black bag came over his face and the rope at its mouth around his throat, and he was dragged off.
"Blackadder, every time you fuck up and blame Percy, or Baldrick or George, I WILL punnish them. One day you will wake up with a knife in your back."
-Blackadder- "I hardly think so, Mam. Percy is scarred of knives since the last time you put him in a room. Besides, you are the one dealing the pinishment, shouldnt you fear for a knife in your back?"
"Edmund, I enjoy you, but do not test the borders. Now... what is the situation?"
They walked to the confarance room, and talked over the Ryloth situation. Talked about the supposed slaver attack on Lessu not long ago, the ten Dreadnoughts in space, and the closed blast gates of Kala'uun. Blackadder had time to mix and match from the Banshees report from the ground and his own sensors data. They Discussed different tactics concering the fleets use, if it would come to that, or the help of Edmund I in a rescue mission getting the Banshees out, so there is a plan for most occasions. They were only interupted once by a Banshee getting through the door unannounced, with a scarred face.
-26- "Mistress, she is trying to break the blast doors again."
"Did you give her a Gammorean?"
-26- "Two even. She seemed to enjoy the first, but then continued. She just killed the second and let it be. She is missing you, Mistress."
"No. She is missing home. They dont usually survive away from their rock. But... This is not a usual occasion.
-Blackadder- "Mam, if I may ask... what DID you bring with you from Kessel?"
"A new slave, Edmund. A New slave."
Atia smiled, and Blackadder didnt like the way she did it.

The arrival of a new ship in system, which gives off substantially more radiation than a departing ship, was noticed, though type and exact location were impossible to say as the ship had decided, probably wisely, to enter the system with a moon between in and Ryltoh. Two Dreadnoughts were dispatched to assess the situation, and they began lumbering away from the planet towards the moon. One was approaching the moon's north pole the other the moon's south pole. They would soon have whatever ship had arrived in their sights and neatly pincerred, unless someone made a serious blunder. The remaining eight dreadnoughts moved to fill the gap in the planet's defenses as the things settled down traffic wise, and the pilots of the blastboats began to fly regular patrols.

-Blackadder- "Mam, it looks like we are getting some guests."
Blackadder entered a moment ago into the only actually furnished and decorated cabin, Atias. Atia was laying in bed with two Banshees, reading reports. Not many other places to sit in the cabin with a queen sized bed, so dont read anyhting nasty into that line. A yellow twilek out of the three looked up and didnt say anything. She was waiting for the actual problem.
-Blackadder- "Two Detections flanking the moon on both sides on their way, Propably Dreadnoughts from Ryloth defence. Intercepting course, but they are still masked by the moon for exact sensory data. Since... you are here... I thought asking you first what you want done."
"What would you recommend?"
-Blackadder- "Split before they get here. You can always come back with the Inner. No need to stay."
"No. I want to know who is defending this planets orbit. Stay. Take a wrench to the hyperdrive, both of them. Tell them the Inner is A support vessel you called because ryloth doesnt really want to negotiate with us. Let them come onboard, that may start a dialogue. Cover up the ion cannon."
-Blackadder- "Yes Ma'm."
Some engineers in space suits and gear were sent out on a walk on the Inners hull and cover up the Ion cannon with a quickly put together chassis that made it look like any other Module. With the entire ion cannon shut off and emptied of any chemicals that sensors could detect and are used in an Ion cannon syphoned out, the weapon may not be detected. The hull working crew were still walking back to the airlocks when the two Dreadnoughts came up on short comms and active sensors range where the moon wasnt masking the signals anymore. The ardent would be the same ardent that tried to acess Ryloth not long ago, but the ship beside had the IFF designation of "Inner", unknown classification. There were two made of this ship, and none frequented republic space.
