The final assault upon the Nexus was already beginning, with Malvus, Luxeria and Kaan all assaulting it with their power. Vasari quickly joined them with the aide of the final Sith Warrior that had been with them. But soon enough, he felt her steal the last of his energy. Using it to fuel her own attack upon the breach. Ifrit grinned at that thought. Amused by her willingness to sacrifice one so inconsequential. An understanding finally coming to him as he rose to his full height and approached the nexus.
He know properly understood her motive for dragging such a burden here with them. He came to a stop at his own arbitrary position within the gathering of Sith. He could feel the limits of his control and power nearing closer and closer. A fact that was exacerbated by his proximity to the nexus in this moment. He clenched his right fist closed. Using it to ground himself as he raised his left hand. Aiming his palm upon the nexus. He stared it down as he muttered a series of spells within the Sith language. Weaving several different assault spells into one stream of energy which burst forth from the palm of his hand Your reign ends here...

The Nexus did its best to resist against the Force Powers unleashed upon the fabric of its existence. The Force Entity even growled in the Force, attempting to fight back against the onslaught of dark energy unleashed upon it. Yet, in the end, its surface began to crack as the power within could not withstand the power from without. It was then that a figure was revealed to all... a skeletal form, clad in ancient Sith Armor, levitated before them, conducting the powers of the Dark Nexus with the movement of its wrists. Its armor appeared to be cracking from the weight of the pressure exerted by the five belligerents. The ghastly figure tried to drawn in more dark energy, but the wounds inflicted were already done... it was a matter of time before the Nexus fell under the pressure and imploded.
Suddenly, the armor snaps in an odd way, causing the skeletal creature to scream. The armor snaps oddly several different times as the Nexus becomes restrained and weakened. As the unknown figure attempted to reach out, its arm vanished, disintegrated by the power of the Dark Side. The specters were beginning to fade across the Sith Temple, the energy that linked them to the Nexus vanishing and fading. Slowly, the Nexus gave way as its power was drained and its defenses failed... the skeletal figure turning to dust with a great scream that echoed through the Force. Then, there was silence.
Malvus slowly lowers his hand, feeling the Nexus a shadow of what it once was. From here, the Nexus would exist minimally compared to how it was left rampant by the New Order of the Eye. The Sith Lord looks at Kaan, Luxeria, Vasari, and Ifrit.

As the Nexus was at long last defeated, Ifrit lowered his own hand and let out a contained sigh of relief. Victory over Pzob and its dark side nexus had been achieved. There had been some casualties, but they were all Sith Warriors that Malvus could easily replace within his ranks. But as far as Ifrit was concerned, Vasari had managed to survive. And that meant she could make it through the training she sought. To learn the secrets and mysteries of the arcane arts which he could pass on to her.
He gave a nod toward Malvus in recognition of their victory, before turning his attention upon the Female Zabrak. Taking a couple steps toward her, to allow them a more private conversation Well done... I must admit I am glad you managed to survive all of this. Especially after the work I did to save your leg... Speaking of which, the runes will start to wear off as your leg regains its strength. But I would advise making a trip to Sullust as soon as you can... So that I might make sure they do not take more than they need... He flashed her a brief grin, his invitation to her having been made

Kaan is silent for some time, staring at the empty abyss beneath the now deadened Nexus. It was finished. But now...now he did not know what to do. He had considered this moment for some time, but now that the source of the Order's power was truly severed, now that the moment of decision was on him, he did not know how to proceed. He walks to the edge of the pit beneath the Nexus and gazes into the darkness. There was still a remnant of its power that he could feel, worming its way in the earth beneath him, but it was utterly broken. It would never again be what it was. After a time, he turns and makes his way back toward the entrance. He reaches into the large pouch on his belt and pulls out the vial that he'd taken from his lab. He looks it over for a few seconds, and a smile tugs at the corners of his mouth as an idea begins to form. He nods an acknowledgement to Malvus' statement, then starts to leave.

Vasari's hands fell as she felt more than saw the nexus return to a more normal - less active state. The Skeletal spectre they had seen manipulating the Nexus had surprised her slightly - she had not seen a manifestation of the dark side portray itself in such a fashion - more times than not the lingering aspects of the Sith Lords adapted their remaining essence to the form they had before passing on into the currents of the living Force - yet this one had chosen something more grotesque - no doubt a lingering effect of this place, having existed for so long in a place that saw only death. Perhaps now the spirit was at rest, or perhaps they had destroyed it all together, Vasari was much to tired to have her mind drawn into the debate she had argued pale back at the Academy on Iridonia. It took all she had simply to stay on her feet as she watched Ifrit approach her. She paid no heed to the body of the warrior beside her - no more than a carcass of what he had been only a handful of moments before. There was no since of accomplishment, no joy at surviving the encounter, she was simply in a state of existing... her mind still - this did not feel like a victory.
"I wouldn't have your efforts wasted my Lord."She muttered, no doubt with some small bit of sarcasm in her voice - though it would have been overshadowed by the lingering apathy for the current situation. It felt off, being so disconnected from the Living Force, she felt cold - as lifeless as the being they had just bested within the Nexus."Sullust... another Sith Lord locked away inside a lonely fiery mountain?"
She would have rolled her eyes but for the effort it would have required - regardless she forced herself to smile up at him before she took a half step closer - her lame knee giving out causing her to stumble slightly into the large bladeweaver catching herself on his arm before the trip would have landed her on the ground at his feet.
"It feels like a ghost beneath my weight..."She whispered softly only half looking up at him. She didn't wish to weaken herself further - but she hoped there was a better way out of here than back up the lift shaft they had descended to get here. Her eyes passed over the remaining members of the Blackguard - watching Kaan depart before she searched the small group for Luxeria gently reaching out with her mind towards her friend - hoping the connection would return her to a since of the familiar and help her center herself in this place.

Even as he sensed her in great need of rest, Vasari was still as snide as ever. He extended his arm out further as Vasari all but fell into it. Catching her around her torso with one hand, before scooping her legs up with his other arm. This place of death was draining more from Vasari than it did from most. Something Ifrit put down to her stronger connection to the Living Force Fiery mountain? perhaps... Lonely? Well that all depends on the company... Come, let's get you somewhere a bit more... to your style... With the Nexus destroyed, Ifrit opened himself to the Force a little less tentatively. Searching its currents for a thread that would lead to a working elevator up to the surface. A search which was rewarded moments later with a direction to go. He looked toward Luxeria before nodding his head off in the direction he was going. Knowing that Vasari would fare much better with her friend at her side.
Without waiting for any indication from Luxeria that she was following along, he made his way out of the pit and over to a turbolift large enough to fit him. The doors closed a few moments later and the turbolift began its ascent from the depths of the ground to the surface above. As they took this journey, Ifrit poured some of his energy into the runes on the Zabrak's leg. Easing the strain it was exacting upon her, even for just a few moments as they rose from a world of death into the world of the living.
The Turbolift reached the surface a few moments later, allowing him to make his way out of the old Temple through the hangar bay they had entered through. The gathered forces belonging to Malvus stood at a distance from the Temple. Parting like a tide as Ifrit made his way through them to a small clearing in the trees. He eased Vasari down on to the ground and let her lay there. Letting her feel the currents of the Force wash over her as he took a couple steps backward. Removing his shadow from her. Causing him to wonder if he had made a mistake in saving her leg the way that he had.
If she was strong enough, she would survive it and contain it. Otherwise, it might consume her and turn her into something else. Something that Ifrit would have to destroy so that it would not pose a threat to anyone else Fight it... Tame it, as you did your own power...

As she continued on with her barrage, her eyes fell upon the being of bones. Compared to all else that had attacked them, from what little she had come to know of most that moved on from the living coil, yet still remained on this plane, this was certainly different. However, no matter the form it took, no matter the attempts it made to over take them, it was nothing to the combined efforts of those present. It wasn't much longer before the skeletal form turned to dust a faded away like dust on the wind. Not a few moments afterward the nexus fell quiet. reduced to nothing more than a shell of what it had been, what little bit remained would never be enough to return again.
As her attack ceased with the others, she gave off a few heavy breaths before taking a single speed one to focus and steady herself, bringing back her calm. From here, she looked around at those present, grasping the mindset each held in this moment. Her master drew on this victory, now claiming this world for the Blackguard. It was what she suspected from him. it was then her eyes shifted to Kaan. From the moment the battle end, she could see it in his stance, his eyes: he felt lost. It was rather surprising, but then again, with so much tied to something, what else was there when it was finally gone? For some, it just meant moving on to something new. For others, it felt like death. It made her wonder just what Kaan had in mind for his future. Her eyes never left him as he moved to the entrance before removing a vial. Her eyes focused hard upon him for a moment, curious as to what lay within the vial. Was it a poison? Did he intend to end his life here? These would be questions without answers as he nodded to Malvus and disappeared. Only time would tell what his intentions were.
Finally, her eyes fell upon Vasari and Ifrit. No time had passed since the end of the battle and he was with her, talking to her. Perhaps through this mission, she had gained something extra. Another matter that only time would reveal that still brought forth curiosity. What would be gained from their meeting? Would her friend become stronger in the very arts she desired under his tutelage? Or were others things awaiting the future for them? It did bring about an amusing smile to think Vasari was hesitant about coming with her on this mission in the first place.
She couldn't hear what they spoke of, but watched as Vasari almost fell flat on her face if not for Ifrit being there. With the sensation of Vsari's presence brushing against her mind and Ifrit's summoning nod, Luxeria looked to her master before following after them. There was nothing left down here to do. Maybe Mavlus would seek what laid behind the other set of doors, but outside of that, the mission was being brought to a close.
She stayed silent as she stayed close behind the pair, letting things play out as needed.

Stevan StormroSometime after the Felucian Raid... A Harrower-class Dreadnought exits hyperspace over the planet of Pzob. Once more, the Jen'ari Malvus descends upon the planet that was now garrisoned by a legion of soldiers and Sith under the banner of the Blackguard Reborn. Last time he had been here, the Sith had been tasked with cleansing the Sith Temple present, the former headquarters of the New Order of the Eye, now defunct. Upon cleansing the temple of a dark and rampant Nexus, the Sith discovered an ancient temple beneath the more modern one, the source of the NoE's power by what Malvus speculated. It was a temple that had been guarded and warded off till the Jen'ari could arrive to explore it more thoroughly.
By his own research, the Sith speculated it was either a temple of the Old Sith Empire, an outpost perhaps. Or it was likely a temple left by the reconstituted Sith Empire of the Great Galactic War. Whatever the case, both Empires had history and a presence within the surrounding area. He wondered what could be found beneath the ground he walked upon. With him was a new associate of the Blackguard Reborn, Stevan Stormro, Inquisitor and Loremaster from the planet of Anoth. The fellow Sith had been employed to help with the excavation and examination of the Temple below. With them would be only four squads of soldiers and several other Sith that Malvus had brought with him.
The party stood where one of the known entryways was, the one Malvus had taken to descend into the Temple and defeat the Nexus. The Sith Lord adjusts one of his gauntlets, suspecting that there may be some creatures slumbering and hiding below. The New Order of the Eye did love their experiments and Sithspawn after all.

Stevan Stormro stood to the right and slightly behind Malvus, choosing to occupy a position of relative deference to the Sith he chose to work with as he often did. While he was familiar with the Blackguard as a historical organization, and this new Blackguard certainly seemed to resemble it, he was not yet prepared to fully trust them or reveal his true self to his new compatriots. It was for that exact reason that, among other omissions, Stormro had not revealed his ties to the ruined world of Anoth to the Blackguard, nor his relationship with Kumauri Industries. Stormro had survived many empires and wars over the years, and a large part of that was not fully committing oneself to the cause to the point that one could not cut ties and slip into the shadows if things went sour. He could certainly return to a nomadic life aboard cloaked ships, moving from system to system, but that would negatively impact his studies and research which was unacceptable after so many years of working within such limitations. No, Stormro enjoyed the undisturbed nature of his hidden home on Anoth and fully intended to keep it that way.
Looking over the ancient entrance, he let the ambient darkness which permeated the area wash over him and smiled slightly at the comforting embrace of the shadows. Unlike his new compatriot Stormro wore no armor of any kind, instead wearing a simple skintight bodyglove on his torso with a set of long fingerless gloves, simple black pants, and set of functional boots. Defining the otherwise nondescript outfit was an elegant Nagaian kama with several belt pouches as well as his weapons hanging from it. In all it was an refined looking ensemble that, while fitting for the man who wore it, seemed less than ideal for a delve into a dangerous environment such as the ancient temple. Still, he seemed prepared and at ease as he peered into the opening before them. He was expecting trouble, much as Malvus was; if the Order of the Eye had not stripped the temple of its valuables years ago there was a reason, and he suspected that reason took the form of dangerous traps and deadly guardians.

To Malvus's left, Luxeria stood a couple feet back. Since the loss of her personal ship in her pirate raid, she had been stuck on Mustafar until her new ship was completed. It hadn't been all bad as it allowed her to press forward with her training without hesitation or delays. But from time to time, she found herself getting restless at being stuck without any real action. That's why that any available mission that allowed her to depart and be of aid, she took without question. Hearing that her old master had decided to return to Pzob and check through the vault discovered on their first mission, she had a crew transport her to Pzob and joined up with Malvus upon his arrival.
She remembered her last run through the temple and fending of the dark spirits that thrived here, all in their goal to eliminate the nexus deep below the building. This time, she was far better prepared. Better trained, she had risen to a new rank within the Blackguard, making this her first official mission with the Blackguard while not an apprentice. She was better equipped as well, her two new curved hilt lightsabers in place on her belt with her original, her bangles now functioning as she hoped thanks to the help of Ifrit. Even her attire felt better in these cases, sporting a black variation of the outfit worn by the Jedi Satele Shan. She was ready and eager to get started, ready to bring any remaining remnants to their ends.

LuxeriaStevan StormroMalvus glances around for a moment, double checking those present before nodding to the vanguard squad. The squad commander proceeds to have his men go down some zip lines and land ahead of the main party. Flashlights were turned on to examine the immediate area before turning them off to activate night vision. Once all was secure, Malvus was comlinked by the officer. From there, the rest proceeded down into the dark abyss where lights were set up and a base of operations was fortified. Scouts were brought down from above and proceeded to scan the areas and go ahead of the main parties.
Once all was set up, Malvus activated a holoprojector to reveal what had been unveiled by previous scouting parties to those present.First level is pretty clear. Nothing seriously bad in our way. Below though, scouting parties have seen... living and dead creatures. One reported having spotted a Terentatek while others reported spotting packs of Tuk'ata patrolling areas. They did not venture far, so we may need to do a little clearing if we go down there. The Sith Lord then points at a particular region to the North of their position. This area, however, seems to be a point of interest. Older door, far older. Specimens taken from the rock indicate Old Sith Empire, which makes me believe that this structure is from two eras. They couldn't access it, but scans... well, showed something interesting.Malvus activates the scans to reveal a large mound placed before the doorway. It looked like a massive creature, long dead. But behind it, the corridor led out to a massive circular room that then just plunged for many feet below where they stood. It was a cylinder structure and, with such a creature possibly having formerly guarded it, it was a point of great interest to examine first.Examiners believe it is a mausoleum of some sorts or an immensely large archive left since the days of the Golden Age.

Luxeria waited patiently where she stood as Malvus sent off the team to secure the area and establish a solid layout of what lay ahead of them. As she waited, she checked her person, examined her single lightsaber, and manipulated three of her six orbs with the Force. She had patience, but she dislike remaining idle when simply left to wait. Besides, even the most trivial and basic of exercises was effective in keeping ones skills sharp and up to par.
It was when Malvus activated the holoprojector, she replaced her orbs and stepped up to it, setting her gaze along the scans sent back to them. For all that remained wandering the halls of the temple, she couldn't help but wonder just where all these creatures came from. Sure, there were multiple layers in the temple, but still. "A Terentatek, huh? Haven't seen one of those in a long time." For a split moment, she remembered her mission with her first master, Darth Andor, and her sibling apprentice, Darth Lura. They had journeyed to Kashyyyk shortly after the creation of the Order of Ruin to hunt a Terentatek as a means to test their growing strength. In the end, the had decided to take it further a took on a Terentatek each, resulting in a total of three. As such, she couldn't help but want to face one again to see how much more effectively she could bring on down. However, the mission came first. "Just how large is this temple, anyway? Last time we were here, we covered a fair bit among all of us, and yet, these creatures were never found. Makes me wonder what else is hiding within."

Stormro had remained mostly silent as the group descended into the abyss, his grey eyes flitting about and taking in as much detail as they could given the lack of light. It was in moments such as these that Stormro found himself missing his original body, as maimed and malformed as it had become after years of battle and cybernetic enhancement, but there had been a price to such enhancements and Stormro had paid for the increased strength with the loss of anonymity and his ability to blend into a crowd. No; long gone were the days when he had use for such enhancements and the martial strength which they provided. It was not through such strength that he had survived the fall of Kashyyyk and many other organizations; cunning and subterfuge had always been his most reliable tools and Stormro saw no reason to handicap them in return for false strength. Reaching the bottom of the abyss, he stepped onto the cold stone floor and followed Malvus and Luxeria into the base of operations.
Listening as Malvus outlined the details of what awaited them below, his interest piquing at the mention of the infamous Terentatek. The Nagaian Sith Lord had never tested himself against such a beast in practice, and a part of him was eager to find out how well his theoretical solutions to the creatures would fair. As the conversation shifted to their target destination Stormro finally spoke, his voice soft yet confident as he commented on the age of the target area. "Hardly surprising; civilizations often build upon the foundations left by those who came before them. Even the Jedi Order rebuilt itself amongst the bones of Naga Sadow's Sith Empire. As for the contents of that untouched vault, a mausoleum seems more likely given the propensity of our ancestors towards entombing and enshrining the dead, although I personally would prefer it to be an archive. Tombs and mausoleums often contain great wealth and treasure, but knowledge is far more valuable than either. Regardless it is rare to find remnants from the Golden Age of the Sith, and even rarer for them to remain untouched, so this should prove a fruitful venture regardless of what lies beyond that door..." While he did not say it, Stormro was disappointed that he had not discovered this untouched treasure before the rest of the Blackguard. While he would happily share the knowledge contained within the Nagaian Sith Lord had a penchant for artifacts and would have preferred to be able to keep the originals for his own archives rather than having to make due with transcripts, etchings, and other such crude replications.

The creatures that inhabit this place likely were in hiding with the rampant Nexus that we encountered previously, Luxeria. With it now tamed and under the control, the Sithspawn are more willing to come out now and patrol as they did before.
Even now, the Sith would certainly sense the Dark Nexus that existed here, the power of the New Order of the Eye. It had taken the full effort of five powerful Sith to break its power and tame it once more, but it had proven worth the venture. Since their last time here, the Sith Temple below had suddenly become full of unseen life.
We do not know the extent at which the New Order of the Eye explored this temple though.
Malvus points at the doorway though to the supposed mausoleum or archive.
However, the scouting team that found this believe it hasn't been opened in centuries. Perhaps even longer than that.
The Sith then gestures to the cylinder like structure somewhere behind them.
I believe it to be prudent that we find out what lies beyond that doorway before looking into the depths of the Sith Temple.
The Sith Lord then turns to some of his officers who proceed to carry out unheard orders. A strong guard of soldiers, augmented with engineers, technicians, scouts, and scientists, were gathered just beyond the main encampment where they stood. Once all were ready, Malvus left with those that had gathered, proceeding in the direction of the point of interest upon this floor of the underground temple. Along the way, flashlights revealed old wall writings, statues of unnamed and forgotten Sith, and an immensely high ceiling. From what Malvus could see, this Temple must have been a hub within this region of space. It made him wonder if there were more temples and perhaps settlements hidden by Pzob's jungle. A planetary scan would need to be done in the future.
It took then many minutes to arrive at the destination, but they arrived unhindered. Malvus had soldiers set up a light array that could reveal the door to all. It was a dark metal alloy in composition, not a hint of rust to his eyes, but when the Sith walked up and pushed on it, it was clearly sealed.
There must be a mechanism nearby we can use to open the door. Otherwise, it will require other means.

Luxeria nodded at the explanation as to why the creatures were in hiding. The Nexus had run wildly, sending many into a fear frenzy. Vasari’s touch the last time they were here proved that when examining corpses. Following in silence from there, she let her gaze shift and look at all they passed as they moved in. They had a lot of ground to cover, much to explore.
Once they reached the door of their first objective, she looked around when Malvus spoke of a mechanism to open the door. It would certainly make it it easier than blasting it open. As it stood, she saw nothing out of the ordinary that spoke of a switch. Either she was missing it entirely or it was hidden. She had been working on her Force Sight per Gavin’s instruction, yet her current level of ability made it just enough to see around her, not yet developed enough for such searches. So she began walking around, feeling the walls and floors, testing any object around them. There had to be something nearby. Otherwise, it was only accessible through voice or fingerprint and that would lead to opening it through force.

Unlike Luxoria, Stormro had not been present for the fall of the New Order of the Eye or the taming of the nexus, but even now he could sense the lingering traces of its power surrounding them. Following Malvus, Luxeria, and the rest of their entourage as they moved to the door, Stormro glanced over the structure surrounding it as the lights were set up before stepping forward towards the door itself. While the ideal solution would most certainly be to open the door in the way that its original architects had intended that was not a guaranteed possibility and Stormro wanted to minimize damage to the structure if at all possible should they need to open the door via less...gentle means. Thus, as Luxeria searched for the mechanism Stormro stepped up to the door, closed his eyes, and subtly extended his sphere of influence to encompass the door and the structure around it. With a single, firm tap on the metal surface of the door Stormro sent vibrations rippling through the barrier, following the vibration with the Force as he sought to identify any structural weaknesses or faults in both the door and how it was mounted in its frame. It was a somewhat unorthadox use of Shatterpoint, to be sure; most practitioners used the art to target weak points and rapidly destroy their target. However, Stormro had found the knowledge of where an object's failure points were to be far more useful than simply shattering them in most cases, and this was yet another of those instances. "I shall see if I can locate the least...disruptive method of removing the door or bypassing its mechanism should it come to that; I would prefer to minimize damage to the structure if at all possible should we be forced to use such methods..."

We think the same, Lord Stormro. I would rather we not be buried under thousands of year old rubble.
Malvus looks above them before feeling the walls. Troopers fanned out and began to inspect the immediate area for any clues. Lights were shined upon smooth areas and even what may seem out of the ordinary. But then Malvus turned around, looking at the doorway and then at the floor itself.
The mechanism is at our feet.
He ushers his troops over as they shined their lights upon the floor, revealing a puzzling mechanism. Originally, there were four cauldrons in which fire was placed once upon a time. Yet it seemed that the torches were a part of a larger device. As Malvus brushed the floor slightly, their eyes would see old gears and levers that would switch and turn. The Sith Lord ponders slightly, examining the mechanism at their feet.
There must be a pattern to this... a pattern that opens the door.

Luxeria returned to Malvus's side and examined the floor below them as well as the torches. She doubted it would be as simple as lightly them. Either items needed to be gathered and placed in locations or the flames needed to be lit in a certain order. But currently, she still had found nothing to give them any hope of the matter. "Is there anything here that might point us in the right direction? Undoubtedly, those that existed here would have known, but perhaps there is something around that would act as a guide?"

Blackguard Garrison Camp - Pzob's surface.
Experimentation on the local Gamorrean population continued, with mixed results. Some tests were successful, others disastrous. With the conquest of near-by Rothana, materials were flown to Pzob on a regular basis, allowing the work to continue unimpeded.
