Excrussis' force form dissipated. "It is finished." Havok stood in his cloak and loin cloth, chest heaving with the exertion of force draining and then overpowering a ghost. Ah, but the elation! Havok felt the strength of the force coursing through his viens. The hunted turning on the hunter, the master beating down the apprentice, the triumph of Havok's will: defeating a being of pure force energy... and also, surprisingly, the feeling of loss.
A thick mist streamed through the cracks in the stonework of the room, condensing into a dark void. "Excrussis has always been our champion, in life and in death."
"Yes, she was." Havok stared at the flagstones where she fell. "She apparently had children." After defeating Excrussis, Havok no longer sensed a threat from the force presence. Havok shed his cloak and loin cloth and walked to the sarcophagus in the center of the tomb. The Lords of the Eye buried a set of Havok's clothing in the coffin, wrapped in a sith burial shrowd. He disrobed and donned his clothes: hakama pants, gi, Obi, belt, and boots. He once again put on his gauntlet and wrapped himself in the sith burial shroud for warmth. They all smelled like a tomb. His light saber was missing. But he suspected where he might find it...
"Her children will serve us also."
Havok was beginning to understand: The nexus, the void, his apprentice.
"You are me."
"We are one."
"I remember myself, but I do not remember you."
"You cannot. From your perspective we are not."
Havok stretched out through the force, probing the depths of this nebulous force presence. He touched it and felt hundreds of life-times bundled together in a unified consciousness of Being; an entity of immense power.
"There is much for you to do, dark one."
"Indeed." Havok turned and walked from his crypt back up the hall until the hallway forked. He proceeded down the opposite fork until he reached another, smaller crypt with another sarcophagus lying in it.
The force presence coagulated in the tomb as Havok shifted the lid of the grave. There inside, lay the mummified body of Excrussis. Long white hair of an elderly woman, holding a distinctive light saber hilt over her shriveled chest. Havok recognized it as his own.
"She always preferred my light saber." Havok reached and carefully took his weapon from her hands. She also wore a distinctive ring that Havok knew had belonged to Grimm Lore. His ashes were probably in a jar somewhere in the crypt...
Havok raise the light saber and ignited it- SNAP-HIZZZ!- to see its familiar red-orange glow, and hear its hum.
"She cared about us, perhaps too much."
Havok took several other things from the tomb, such as "Guts" an ancient sith-forged blaster, that he had once given to Grimm Lore as a sidearm long ago. He would probably return at some point... Havok stared into the coffin at his dead apprentice. In unison, Both Havok and the force presence uttered together:
"As you are, we once were. As we are, so shall you be." "As you are, we once were. As we are, so shall you be."
"Farewell."
Havok turned and left.

*For some reason, Havok had no problem finding his way out of the Crypt.*
Based on his interactions, Havok determined that much time had passed. How much, he wasn't sure yet.
Havok walked though the NOE Sith Temple, now eerily vacant. Old banners and battle flags, dusty and faded. Gone were the chants of the fanatical Hannite monks that eagerly served the NOE and previously continued the upkeep of the temple. Havok could still feel the traces of the dark side taint of his fellow Sith Lords, Bacca, Dragus, and the others. How long had it been?!
Havok exited the temple stepping into the blinding sun. it had been years since Havok had lost his physical sight, and the return to this rejuvenated youthful body with functional eyes was a dazzling experience. Havok pulled the hood of the black burial shroud up over his head and face, and closed his eyes, breathing in.
The heat and humidity of the forests surrounding the temple was a stark contrast to the dark dank crypt.
Havok approached two stormtroopers in red armor. Dispite the passage of time, Havok assumed the NOE still held this place and planet. When Havok last saw, the NOE used troopers with white armor.
"SIR!" The red troopers snapped to attention surprised by the dark force user that exited the temple they were stationed at. Though they hadn't seen the Force User enter, the fact that he was a force user meant he outranked them, and the fact that he exited the temple was proof enough that he was part of the Blackguards. He couldn't have gotten into the temple in the first place, without the proper ID and codes anyhow. "Trooper, call me a shuttle." Havok supposed that his ship, the IRON MAIDEN, wasn't around anymore. "Sir, right away!"

The Lambda shuttle arrived at the temple inside of 15 minutes.
Havok boarded the shuttle.
Pilot: "Where too, sir?"
"Take me to Bilbringi." Havok sat himself in the engineer's jump-seat behind the pilots.
"Yes sir, very good sir." The pilot knew that Bilbringi was not part of the Blackguard territories, but he knew better than to contradict a clear order.
*The ramp closed and the engines fired up. The Shuttle lifted off the ground and launched itself into orbit.*

501st Legion Despite the brief interference from the man that was now identified as the former Dread Lord of the NOE, Havok, the 501st had doubled their security efforts and cordoned off the old NOE temple. Designated as a restricted area, the rest of the Blackguard compound was still operating at peak efficiency. The first generation of control chipped Gamorrean Shock Troopers were nearly ready to be field tested. Aside from that, it was business as usual.

501st Legion Field testing the chipped Gamorrean Shock Troopers had been successful, if not a bit messy. Even chipped and tagged with control collars, the shock troopers cared little for collateral damage, so long as they could pursue and eliminate their target as ordered. Trained in melee combat and outfitted with protective armor plates, the shock troopers were incredibly tough, resilient to blaster fire and were nearly unstoppable when pointed at a target. As the initial test data was being disseminated and studied, the next batch of Gamorrean Shock Troopers was being prepared for testing or even possible deployment, considering that rumors of civil unrest and desertion had reached even this remote location within the Blackguard...

A backwater world, but an important one, the successful modifying and testing of the Gamorrean Shock Troopers had provided the Blackguard with a new supply of heavy frontline shock troopers. And not a moment too soon. With production on Kamino being ramped up, orders came through to have the Gamorrean Shock Troopers ready for active frontline combat as soon as was possible. To the men and women stationed on Pzob, this indicated one thing: The Imperium was gearing up for something big.

Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison.
Overseer Vykus had been stationed on Pzob, partially due to his failure as Overseer of Iridonia and its resultant fall during Vallius's coup. Enraged at this arrangement, Vykus still managed to keep his title and ensured that the Gamorrean Shock Troops were ready for the front lines. With the 501st Legion stationed here, the world was relatively well secured, despite its remote location. All in all, the Sith Garrison as well as the Overseer, kept the world secured. Despite Vykus's resentment towards the Sith'ari for this posting on a backwater world.

Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison.
Overseer Vykus continued to ensure that the Gamorrean Shock Troopers were ready to be shipped out, en masse, should the need arise. So far, the training and subsequent equipping of the Gamorrean soldiers was proceeding as planned. Combining several battalions of Gamorrean Shock Troopers, led by Sith Trooper Sergeants, as well as the 501st Legion, led by Colonel Adrien Stryker, despite its backwater status, Pzob was incredibly well defended and acted as a staging ground and quick response force to neighboring Rothana and Kamino.

Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison Outpost.A collection of prefab structures, the Blackguard Outpost on Pzob contained everything needed to outfit and maintain a small army. Barracks, Common Areas, Medical facilities, all of it. While it may not have been as sophisticated as the facilities on an actual colonized world, they were still considered to be top-notch for being situated on a backwater world such as Pzob. Standing over the holographic war table in the command center of the base, former Overseer Aden Vykus watched as the Imperium's forces, led by General Xethuys, began landing several kilometers south of the main base in a large clearing. Standard invasion protocol. And while most of the Sith Troopers of the 501st Legion were willing to follow Vykus, several of the higher ranking officers has been sequestered and locked in the brig. Colonel Stryker was among those that remained loyal to the Sith'ari and the Imperium. A waste, but Vykus couldn't have people willing to follow that old withered husk commanding his forces. No, he needed people loyal to him. And all of the Sergeants in command of the Gamorrean Shock Trooper Squads remained loyal. Which benefitted him nicely. With the Gamorrean's knowledge of the surrounding terrain, the Shock Squads could meet Xethuys' forces before the came in range of the base. Pzob's remaining defenses would remain at the base, ready to defend it. The nice thing about utilizing battle droids for the majority of the planet's defenses made it easy to turn them against their former masters. The planetary Ion Cannon located at the old Stormtrooper base would have been ideal to use against Xethuys' ships, however it was down for repairs from a small skirmish with a warring Gamorrean tribe. For untrained brutes, the beasts were capable of causing a fair amount of damage. Especially if left unchecked. So long as the remaining tribes stayed out of the fighting ahead, Vykus was confident he could hold Pzob. And, if he needed the aid, he was fairly certain he could contact Kamino or Roon for assistance, since his sources indicated that neither of their Overseers had been included in what was transpiring. For now, however, the nineteen squads consisting of thirteen Gamorrean Shock Troopers and a Sith Trooper Sergeant were gearing up to head out and dig in between the base and the arriving invasion forces. Half of the planet's Special Commando Advanced Recon Troopers were already out, scouting the battlefields. Hopefully their intel would prove fruitful. For now, all they could do was wait. Fortunately Order 212 required the planetary infrastructure to remain intact, therefore Xethuys couldn't just bombard the planet from orbit, which would have been the most direct route.

Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Landing Zone. 12 kilometers south of the Garrison Outpost.Major-General Ryvak Dorn had secured an LZ for the Imperium's forces. Several prefab buildings had been erected to serve as a surface command post, while defense batteries and turrets had been placed along the perimeter. Several walkers and tanks had been arranged into an armored column, ready to move and scouts had been dispatched on mounts to scout the terrain and report back. So far, Vykus and his troops seemed to be concentrated at the garrison base, though there were a handful of troops at the old imperial stormtrooper base and several squads were amassing in the jungle north of the LZ. With Lieutenant-General Royce Wallace still landing his troops and readying them to move against the garrison base, Dorn was in temporary command of his team. Contacting the Imperious up in orbit, Dorn issued his orders.Aralak Actual to Imperious Command. Requesting fire mission at the following coordinates. Oh-Two-Niner by Seven-Eight-Four. How copy?Within moments, Imperious Command was replying.Coordinates confirmed, Aralak Actual. Zephyr Wing is inbound. ETA sixty seconds.Beneath his helm, the Major-General grinned. Vykus though sending his shock trooper squads in advance to harass the landing force was a good idea. But, with Pzob's practically non-existent infrastructure, the normal conditions of Order 212 didn't apply here. And with the vast majority of the planet being covered in dense jungles, there was no risk of civilian casualties or destruction of vital infrastructure. Minutes later, the roar of six bombers could be heard overhead. Six Defiant-Class Bombers, flying in formation, streaked over the dense jungle and released their payload. With each bomber being able to carry 10 Flame Carpet Warheads, 60 of them rained down into the jungle. Upon detonation, flames spread quickly, blanketing vast swaths of the jungle and setting it ablaze. If there had been anything in the jungle between the LZ and the base, it was now burning. Black clouds billowed skywards as the wind carried them up. If that didn't get Vykus' attention, not much would.Shots on target, Imperious. Jungle's been set ablaze. If there were any bogeys hiding out in there, they aren't now. Much appreciated. With that, the Major-General closed the line and continue to peer through his electrobinoculars, watching the jungle burn, consuming anything that would have been hiding there.

Pzob - Imperium Garrison Base
Vykus swiped his hands across the table, sending datapads as well as the odd mug of cafe spilling to the floor. Roaring in anger, he slammed his fists down. This caused the holotable's display to flicker briefly. In one fell swoop, his available Gamorrean Shock Trooper squads had been wiped out. It was clear the Imperium wanted him and cared little for the resources that had been invested here.
"Withdraw all available forces back to the base! I want double watches posted on the walls and all defensive emplacements manned and ready! If Xethuys wants me, he'll have to come get me. And we won't make it easy!"
So far, this battle hadn't gone the way he expected. Order 212 was quite specific about many things. But apparently even the little bit of infrastructure on Pzob's surface meant nothing. Smoke was still billowing skywards, several kilometers south of the base, and several silhouettes of ships could be seen. Xethuys had come in full force, determined to take him down. But Vykus had enough resources still at his disposal to hold out for a while. Maybe it wasn't too late to reach out to Thedas on Kamino, or Valken on Roon? His ignorance and pride had prevented him from accepting the offer when it had been presented, and now it looked like he was left to fend off the Imperium by himself...whatever he was going to do, he needed to figure it out fast.

*Upsilon-class shuttle lands outside the sith temple. The shuttle is painted in red and black stripes with an red eye can be seen paint on the under part of the left wing as it lands*
Two dark troopers wearing black armor and rebreathers masks get out of the ship. Both stand at attention as a pale figure walks off the craft. The figure is wearing a black uniform with a red and black shirt. He has a a blaster pistol on his hip and a long curved light Saber on his other hip.
"I'm going to stretch my legs for a bit, maybe my old access codes will still work at the temple..."
Ulrich looks around the area outside the temple, he thinks to himself it's been ages. He lights up a cigar and begins to walk over to the temple.
He turns to the troopers.
"Keep the engines warm and if the other one wakes up from his slumber page me."

Pzob - Old Imperial Stormtrooper Base.Sergeant Ted Rawley was in charge of the team of troopers defending the old Stormtrooper Base where the currently inoperable V-200 Ion Cannon was located. Presently, a team of engineers were working on getting it operational, however, the recent skirmishes with the local Gamorrean clans had left the cannon inoperable. Repairing the damage hadn't been prioritized until General Xethuys had showed up and began enforcing Order 212. Aden Vykus, the former Overseer, had defiantly told the General to go screw himself and dug in for a fight. Expecting a fight had been one thing, however the scale in which the Blackguard had responded was unexpected. Still, Rawley and his team were ordered to defend the base, should the General make a move for the cannon...*
*Six Imperial Walkers and an assortment of ground troops had been assigned to take the Stormtrooper Base. Led by Captain Marcos Davis, the Sith Troopers and walkers approached the base from the south. Splitting up the 150 trooper company, 30 men flanked to the east and 30 men flanked to the west, while the walkers pushed straight into the base. Moments later, blaster fire erupted from the defending troops. Explosions shook the overgrown courtyard of the base. The engineering team that had been repairing the cannon dove to cover as three of the six walkers fired upon the cannon itself, destroying the power conduits and vital control panels needed to ensure it was operational. Captain Davis called out over an open frequency, addressing all troopers in the vicinity, both friendly and hostile. Attentions soldiers of the 501st. Order 212 has been given. Those loyal to the Blackguard Imperium are to withdraw from Pzob. Those that follow Aden Vykus will be treated as traitors of the Imperium. Our orders are to execute traitors on sight. Lay down your arms and cease your aggression towards us and you will be spared. Failure to do so will result in swift executions! You all swore an oath! And now you dishonor that oath. Stand with us and you will be pardoned! The blaster fire lessened, even as the flanking teams moved in, effectively pinning the defending force. Moments later, all blaster fire ceased from the defenders. Sergeant Rawley stepped out from cover, his rifle raised above his head.Captain. Sir. Overseer Vykus sequestered Colonel Stryker and the officers loyal to him. We were only doing as ordered. News of Order 212 hadn't reached us. Vykus kept that from us. Had we known, we would have turned him in.Signaling for his men to cease-fire, but keep their weapons trained on the defending group, he vaulted over the toppled beam he had been using for cover and approached Rawley.General Xethuys had informed us to expect that. Order 212 was meant to be broadcast across all Imperium frequencies. In the event that this wasn't the case, we're ordered to give all troopers the opportunity to surrender. The last thing we want is trooper on trooper violence. Many of us have trained together for years. But orders are orders....so, Sergeant. You've got a choice. Follow Vykus to certain death, or rejoin the Imperium and live to fight another day?The white armored Sith Trooper with a red shoulder pauldron indicating his rank paused for a moment, then looked directly at the red armored Captain before him.Sir. Permission to fight by your side? Vykus will pay for manipulating us against our brethren.Beneath his helm, Captain Davis grinned. The threat of being branded a traitor was powerful. Enough so that most of the lower rank and file troopers would see the error in their ways and abandon their current course of action. Most were probably unknowing to the larger situation. If Vykus did actually prevent Order 212 from being heard by the entirety of the 501st, then there was a good chance that they were merely doing what Vykus ordered them to do, with no notion of the changes that were happening.Sergeant, you get me into the garrison base and get Colonel Stryker release, I'll personally put you in range to put Vykus down the like the mad kath hound that he is.Rawley took a moment, then motioned to the remaining defenders.Captain's got orders for us. Front and center troopers! We've got work to do.While brutal to have to put down your own men, these troopers were conditioned to understand the cost of war and the cost of disobeying orders. The few defenders that had died in the short battle would be remembered, later. Right now, Captain Davis needed to secure the Stormtrooper Base and update Major-General Dorn, back at the command center. The fight for Pzob would continue, though Vykus had just lost another group of soldiers. Soon, he'd lose everything. They just had to work him into the corner.

The minor disruption beneath the Order of the Eye Temple on Pzob's surface was inconsequential. Those that had not withdrawn from the temple when Overseer Vykus had ordered it were left to their own fate. The recall order had come down the chain of command upon General Xethuys' arrival in orbit. Besides, the now deceased soldiers wouldn't be missed at this point, not with Xethuys' army pressing down on the rogue Overseer...
Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison Base.
Field Army Omega Tantalon had advanced through the charred and ashen remains of the jungle that had been incinerated one day prior. Fires still burned along the perimeter of the bombing path, but the majority of the route was now clear enough to march through. Walkers and tanks, supported by infantry and scout walkers pressed towards the base where former Overseer Aden Vykus was holed up. The charred remains of several dozen Gamorrean Shock Trooper squads had been passed, as the army moved. Those that were recognizable, anyways. Over a dozen or more Advanced Recon Commandos had also been caught in the blast. The rest that had been discovered had either surrendered or had been executed on the spot. And so, Lieutenant-General Royce Wallace continued to march his army towards the base...
Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison Base Perimeter.
The six Imperial walkers, along with 150 man company and a small squad of Sith Troopers that had abandoned Vykus' cause had already reached the Imperium's planetside garrison base. While the current attacking force wasn't capable of routing the defenders, it certainly kept them occupied, while Lieutenant-General Wallace and his army approached from the south. Most of the defenders on the perimeter consisted of B3 Ultra Battle Droids and B2 Super Battle Droids, with the occasional artillery unit and several AT-ST Mark III's, Captain Davis and his team could keep them busy until Wallace arrived. Sergeant Rawley and squad had gone on ahead, using their feigned loyalty to Vykus to gain access to the base itself, intent on freeing Colonel Stryker and his officer so he could reassume command of the 501st Legion that Vykus had commandeered to his cause. Only time would tell if that ploy would be successful or not...

Pzob - Blackguard Imperium Garrison Base. Detention Building.
Sergeant Rawley and his team had successfully managed to infiltrate the base without raising suspicions. And then they had located Colonel Stryker and his officers. Freeing them had been relatively easy. However, escaping was proving more difficult. Vykus' forces had become aware of Rawley's deception and were now intent on stopping them from leaving.
"Sergeant! Get me to the comms array and I can end this conflict. The rest of the legion will listen once they are properly informed."
The unarmored Colonel, armed with Rawley's sidearm, stated to the Sergeant as they ducked behind cover and returned fire at the few battle droids that had been sent to intercept them.
Understood, sir. Captain Davis! We need a distraction at the eastern wall. Something to draw these damned clankers off.
The reply came shortly, as Rawley and his men took down three more B2 Super Battle Droids.
Copy that, Sergeant. Wait for my signal.
Moments later, Zephyr Wing was soaring overhead, targeting the eastern wall with a precision bombing run. As part of the perimeter wall was demolished, Captain Davis' walkers poured through, engaging the defending battle droids, drawing more support towards the eastern side of the base.
Go Sergeant! We have your window. Do whatever you gotta. We'll hold them here.
Clicking his comm twice to acknowledge that order, Rawley motioned for the Colonel to follow. Provided they didn't run into any more droids, they'd be able to make it to the comms array, where the Colonel could override Vykus' orders and get the 501st Legion to stand down.

A pod consisting of six quadrasteel slabs fitted together descended through the atmosphere, dropping like a rock through a pond, its exterior glowing white hot as the rapid fall seared its surface black. Within the pod a creature raged, smashing against the sides, causing the container to spin and spiral off course. As it fell through thick storm clouds, a bolt of lightning leapt out and struck the pod, frying the delicate electronics that were set to time release once the container had reached a certain altitude. It didn't matter. Within the tight confines of the pod, the beast roared and lashed out with enough force to shatter its restraints. A tear formed on two of the containers six sides, metal ripped wide open by two long curved hooks of bone. Almost at once the quadrasteel contraption exploded outwards, flinging all six panels away and allowing the heavy metal plates to drop to forest floor below. Large scaled wings unfolded in either direction, catching the air currents like a sail and unfurling out to a span of thirty meters across. The mutated repto-avian shrieked, its tormented wailing echoing throughout the great forest.Sssshreeeeeaaaaahhhh!!!!! A long time past the diabolical Dragus had traveled to the poison moon of Dxun, at the time seeking ancient Sith lore, when in fact the greatest treasure to be found had been a large egg. The smooth polished oval had belonged to a drexl, a winged reptoid that dominated the skies of both the moon and the world it orbited. The Hungering One had taken the egg and altered it through the power of Sith alchemy, birthing a creature warped by the malevolent influence of the Dark Side. He raised the creature from a mere hatchling to the monster it now was, naming the beast Spite. In the time since the mutated drexl had served the Famine Lord as a personal mount and most adored pet.Spite's massive wings caught the air and began to beat, thick scale covered muscles pumping membranous wings and hollow bones to keep it aloft. A familiar scent caught the attention of its senses, causing the beast to turn its large beaked head towards the black pyramid in the distance, powerful eyes scanning the Sith Temple grounds to be found there. There was another monster of flesh and scale that had once stalked the forests of Pzob, a companion of this winged creature if such was to be believed, one belonging to the titanic Lord of War. They had hunted the forest together, Spite from the air, the other from the ground, feasting on the scrumptious flesh of the green pig men that inhabited the wilds.Sssshreeeeeaaaaahhhh!!!!! A second shriek shattered the calm. Spite called out in desperate longing for its friend. Eager to share a meal again.

Loud pops and bangs could be heard echoing throughout the vast forest, spreading from the Sith Temple found deep within, while bright red lights of expiring blaster gas filled the night sky with bright spectacle. The temple where the Lords of the Order resided was currently the scene of many explosions and much violence.

A beast shifted in the natural caverns under the forest floor. In the occasional sink hole in the planetwide forest of Pzob, one could see the sedimentary rocks worn away by subterranean waters, carving caves and natural labyrinths for kilometer after kilometer. In those holes creatures lurked. Some native, some introduced by spacefaring inhabitants that visited the planet and adopted the ancient temple that had always been there.
Gnashing claws and horns and teething. It felt the call of master. Hunting jedi; emotions seething, wonderous dark-side creature.

Commodore Starkiller's unrestrained slaughter of the hannites led him to the forest beyond the temple grounds. Smoked belched from the overheated rotary cannon on his shoulder, run to the near melting point, the barrel glowed a brilliant orange. His iron shod treaded feet carried the massive mechanical monstrosity into the deep woods, where the trees towered high into the air and obscured the planet's green sun. A thick cloud of toxic exhaust vented from his back, while two large crimson photo-receptors shone into the darkness, casting shadows about the forest floor.Mechanical Tone Commodore Starkiller, Searching...The hannites that served the temple lords provided some entertainment, but they had yet to prove themselves as a proper offering to the Almighty Eye. If they had, then surely the Machine Lord's beloved master would have awakened from his slumber, yet there had not been so much as a peep so far. Instead the mutated abyssin remained secured in cryogenic suspension, waiting for what, no one one could say.Lines of viral code flooded the technological terror's line of sight, driving the insane war droid to new heights of rage and unbridled fury. A click sounded, followed by a whine, as plasma charged in the twin barreled assault cannon mounted on the Commodore's right arm. The ends of the barrel glowed a feint blue, crackling with barely contained rivulets of focused lethality, hissing as it scorched the air and filled the forest with the rank stench of burnt ozone. The most devoted servant of the malevolent Eye raised his rust ridden right arm and unleashed a volley of hot plasma rounds into the forest brush, shattering the cores of towering trees that had stood the test of time, some having grown for centuries if not longer. Bark ignited and flaming wooden splinters showered the forest floor, setting the underbrush aflame. Orange embers expanded into large ripples of death, like waves rolling in during high tide, the forest began to burn. Unafflicted by the heat of smoke that served to choke organic life, the mechanical monstrosity continued further into the forest, blasting the vicinity with intrusive scans as he sought out any form of sentient life. For now any creatures living beneath the forest floor, deep in the stone caverns that pocketed many a portion of the deep woods, went unnoticed. Even the maniacal mentally unstable Machine Lord struggled to penetrate through the thick stone.Va-Boom! An explosion ripped through the sea of brown trunks and green foliage as a guided rocket from the Commodore's missile rack veered through the trees and detonated to great effect twenty-five meters away, further igniting the terrain. He didn't stop to consider the end result of starting such blazes, for wontan destruction was the point. The greater the sacrifice and grand spectacle, the better the chance the Machine Lord's most precious Lord of War would awaken, or so he had calculated. Again the rotary cannon spun up, spitting hot death in the form of rapid low intensity bolts of blaster fire into anything and everything. As this chaos ensued, the most loyal servant paused a moment, his sensors picking up on something obscure.Mechanical Tone Life Forms Detected, Activating Pursuit Mode.Throughout the dense forest of Pzob lived a race of Gamorrean primitives, spread throughout in various small settlements and villages, barely out of the hunter gatherer stage. It was one of these very settlements that the near-unstoppable overlord of organic destruction had found with one of his deep range scans. They were off to the north, barely more than a few clicks from the temple grounds. A worthy sacrifice perhaps. Only one way to know for certain. A 'shink' sounded as the two serrated blades in the Commodore's left arm extended, sheering through trunks as he began to trod in the direction of the detected settlement. The forest shook and burned wherever he traveled.

A young Garmorean emerged from the woods into a clearing created from an enormous sink hole, perhaps 50 meters in diameter. His loins clad in skins, he carried in his arms a small tree dwelling animal as an offering. He walked to the rim of the sinkhole and a massive updraft caught him off balance, pushing him away from rim. He steadied himself, dead animal still in his arms. "Heh heh. Dem close dat der! Hup!" Bracing himself with an impish grin, he got closer to the rim, again.
"Fohr Gurt hunt. Gib luck an slow meat." He grunted the prayer in his savage pig-basic.
He waited a few more seconds, as the updraft waned around him. He then unceremoniously threw the dead animal carcass into the sinkhole with a snort. "Hup!" He stood listening, ears peaked, listening to hear the meat hit the bottom. He heard nothing. He blinked his little black eyes and peered over the rim, knowing that attempting to catch a gaze of the gods was forbidden. But he looked nonetheless. Not being able to hear the bottom was unnatural. "Bad med-sin." He muttered. Below him, all he could see was the edge of the rim reach a point, maybe 10 meters down (taller than 3 whole longhouses!) before the wall undercut the rim and was lost in the shadows.
He looked down and left. He looked down and right. Nothing. It was like the rim of the sinkhole was the end of the whole world of the surface with its forests, lakes, trees and mountains, gave way to a complete void of nothing under the land...
Suddenly the updraft reversed into a down draft and the Garmorrean felt himself get sucked over the edge... He found himself dangling by a plant root off the rim. He squealed, kicking his legs, trying to get a foothold. In his panic, he kicked away more of the dirt rim until a section of the rim collapsed, taking him, the root, and the tree with it. The luckless Garmorrean held the root the entire way down.
The fall perhaps wasn't as far as he anticipated, and the Garmorrean laden flora landed in a pool. It would have knocked out a less-feisty Garmorrean, but this one was a splendid example of the toughness of their species. Using a rudimentary doggy-paddle, he managed to feel around him until he found an expanse of floating moss. While it was too weak to support his weight to allow him to stand up, it could keep his head above the water while he was laying down.
Through an intricate process (to him) he slowly dragged himself across the surface of the aquatic moss until he reached a flat sandy expanse.
"Heh heh! Gurt luck Oi am!" He thanked his stars. He had fallen through the earth... and... survived! Was he on the other side of the world? He looked around, his eyes straining in the black. He looked up and could see a distant circle of light and sky high above him.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The beast was awake.
Lifting its head to the light, it scraped its tusks on the wall of the underground cavern. Rock and dust went flying as layers of stone chipped and shattered. With all its horns, claws, spikes, and tusks, it blended in with the stalagmites of the caverns.
The creature didn't have an interest in most lifeforms. Or rather, it would eat anything, but it was never satisfied, unless the lifeform held a minimal connection to the force. The beast had a special sense for the force. Bred by the ancient sith to devour and end jedi, it had a unique hunger for force users- particularly light-siders.
It flexed its grasping paws and reached for an itch that had bothered it for a period of time that felt like centuries.
The creature was already awakened by the increased presence of strong force sensitive individuals on the planet. The sith reunion of sorts was throwing out force waves into the surrounding areas of Pzob disturbing the creature from its rest. The loud sounds from the nearby subterranean lake further drew its attention.
Its tongue slithered out and tested the air before retracting into it's mouth.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Garmorrean heard the sound of stones breaking. Not the sounds of them falling and breaking, but the sounds of them being crushed. They were different, more spread out. Not that he could put that into words... it was more of an intuition.
One could have called him luckless earlier... that was a simple turn of phrase because he fell. Not literal. In actuality, the Garmorrean was lucky. Lucky in the hunt. Lucky to survive the fall. Making the difference between a close shot, or a hit when hunting, the gift had manifest as uncanny luck. Too lucky. The elements of luck really were just the manifestation of an undiscovered gift. The force was strong in this Gormarean, as is was in his father, and his father's father before him...
