*Crystaall nodded to her apprentice. She understood the Saarai-kaar's use of ranks, but was too used to being a Knight of the Republic to be able to immpliment them in her thinking.*
"Yes I did. At least two of course. I'd need to edit my lightsaber design though, having it be able to access different types of powered crystals for combat situations."
*Crystaall smiled as a small though popped into her mind, reminding her of her teenage days in the war.*
"I can say I do remember those caves. Bloody things got my squad leader roaming around in circles until I used a bit of the Force to look for highly active humanoid areas. It's how I got promoted to Red leader in the late battles of the war. I, of course, left.... leaving a good friend and soldier to take command. None of us expected the Imperials discovery of this place. We were ripe for an ambush. But, enough about my complicated childhood. What did you do before you became a Jensaarai? I'd like to know a little bit more about you then what Garwig decided to give me."

=Pok the Zoologist= Hearing the boy Jan'ika Fett, Pok waved his head in a "no" gesture."From what I understand, Unkajo's genetic engineering wasn't tampered through usage of the Dark side. Samples of his fur I found have detected they were done through complex scientific methods." =Jinx Meenku= "So the Darksider who made this Unkajo wasn't a Sith?" Jinx the Jawa asked. Holding himself to keep his body warm in the cold hangar.=Pok the Zoologist= "No. From what I've found in my research of this area, the Darksider was some kind of witch according to old Rebellion documents in the Galactic civil war." =Countess Isabella Valentina= "A witch? Must of been` an Nightsistah from Dathomir." The Echani lady named Count Isabella, or Bella for short from her friends said in response to what Pok told the group. The noblewoman having a slight accent from her adopted homeplanet of Eiattu."While the ol' Shadow magic the Nightsistah's use is similar to the sorcery used by the` Sith, I don't recall any of their spells having the 'bility to alter beings at the genetic level as Sith alchemy can do." =Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh= Hearing Bella nearby, Garwig responded."That is true. Unkajo may of been corrupted by an agent of the Dark side, but being corrupted by the Dark side itself is completely different. I doubt the creature is even sensitive to the Force." Garwig told within hearing distance of everyone. It still felt weird looking at Countess Isabella and hearing her. She more or less looked exactly like his friend Tanith Desaevio, but her skin as pale as white chalk, her short hair completely white, having silver eyes, and although the voice sounded similar, the unique accent was a clear giveaway she wasn't Tanith. Getting his attention back on the conversation, the Saarai-kaar continued to speak."I do agree with Janus though that we may have to fight the big guy. Might even have to do that in order to "befriend" him." Garwig said, and turned his head to hear if anyone would respond to what he said. We defiantly with try hard not to fight, but it would be smart to have a medical team ready. Instead of trying hard not to fight let's make it so if we have to fight neither us or Unkajo meet an untimely demise.Janus said and focused in on Pok, the boy could sense through the force how clearly uncomfortable the idea of fighting a wampa made him feel. You hired us to protect the wampas and sometimes for a group to survive new leadership is needed. I am not saying that is what has to happen, but it might be what does have to happen. We will act to protect as many wampas as we can.The young Jensaarai said in hopes of calming to Pok.

It's how I got promoted to Red leader in the late battles of the war. I, of course, left.... leaving a good friend and soldier to take command. I'd like to know a little bit more about you then what Garwig decided to give me." =Ursi Krak'jya= Thinking back on her days in the Bothan sector, Ursi answered her master."I was born to a couple who worked as spies for the Bothan Spynet on planet Kothlis. It's very beautiful place. Lot's of islands with some of the best beaches in the galaxy. Many across the galaxy go there for special vacations or honeymoons. Growing with a couple of spies, I eventually followed their ways and became an operative of the Spynet. I'd go to star system to star system gathering intelligence for our people so we'd have great knowledge of all what was going on in the galaxy. However, my family and I hid a large secret about myself from our people. That I was sensitive to the Force, and I had great difficulty in controlling my usage of it. Largely due to them manifesting as techniques that created flames. I even once accidentally set fire to my sleeper bed in my sleep. Despite all of the little bits of information I could gather on the Force and it's usage from the Spynet, it didn't help me much in my attempts to control my ability with the Force. It was only until Scarlet Croatia, one of the tararsaarai of the Jensaarai order, came in her searches across various planets recruiting Forcefuls into the order that she found me. She noticed my potential in the Force, and after some talk with me as well as my folks, I got their blessing to leave with her to join the Jensaarai and I left serving the Spynet. Eventually, she sent me along with a few other tyrosaarai to Contruum to meet with you guys for further training, and the rest is history as they say." She told Crystaall as she raised her index finger up in the air, then a small glow of a tiny fire plume manifested just slightly above it. After creating the small flame with the Force, she then had it burn out and looked at her master.=Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh= Hearing Jan'ika Fett say they should have a medical team ready in case if any of them or the Wampas got hurt, the Saarai-kaar responded to the concern."Many of us have medpacs in our backpacks, and Maahes can provide further help in usage of his healing techniques with the Force. I'm certain we're prepared in case if any one of us gets hurt." =Pok the Zoologist= Listening to both Garwig and Janus, the Yuzzem placed one of his hands onto his chin as he responded."I understand that, Janus. But I'm glad to know we're ok in regards to first aid availability." He told the two, then went over to an area with a large wall that he used to draw marker on to write out ideas and plans."Shall we start with the mission briefing then?"

"That's very interesting, and that ability of yours is very impressive. It should prove useful on this frozen wasteland. I'm at least glad that the Spynet was with the Alliance, or the war would be a whole lot different."
*Crystaall looked over at the others and began to walk toward the group, motioning Ursi to follow.*
"I believe their starting the briefing. I believe it will be better to hear up close."

Ali stretched, scrambling quickly to mentally save the dream she had been enjoying. Women…lovely women…Ali reminded herself, reaching for her helmet and pulling it over her head. She brought up the Jensaarai comm frequency they had used for the recent Bespin mission, and shot a message to the Saarai-kar, Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh.Heads up, Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh, this is Hadrix with GALSAF here. We just arrived in-system and are making for the rendez-vous location. Please acknowledge at your earliest convenience. Once the message was sent, Ali pulled the helmet off of her head and ran a hand through her hair, shaking out the locks that tumbled down over her shoulders. Grasping one, she brought it before her, noticing how split some of her ends had become. I'll have to get that taken care of, Ali reminded herself, releasing the hair from her grasp and letting it fall back to her chest. She reached over to the forward bulkhead, keying the outside display screen. After flickering for a moment, the screen revealed the harsh, barren white landscape of Hoth all around as the gunship roared towards the rendez-vous location given to them by Garwig's Jensaarai. Ali shut off the display and slapped Sergeant He'gai on the shoulder. "Time to wake up, my tentacle-faced friend." She groaned, reaching down and grabbing her clothes. Sergent He'gai gurgled something back and wriggled his facial tentacles, then began lightly smacking the other members of his squad, including Sylas. Ali stood and began stripping naked, pulling off her boots first, then her shirt and shorts. Ali reached for the form-fitting body suit that she wore beneath her armor and stepped into the legs before pulling the rest of the suit up over her back and shoulders and sliding her arms into the sleeves. Once the suit settled over her shoulders, Ali reached inside the open front and adjusted her breasts before fastening the seals at her belly and chest. Then she replaced her boots on her feet and pulled gloves over her hands, closing them into fists to ensure they felt comfortable. Hoth was a terribly cold planet and Ali didn't like being cold. She relished nice hot sun and salty-aired beaches above all. During their final approach, Ali affixed her armor plates over her body, then clipped her helmet to her utility belt and slung her weapon, a Verpine assault carbine. The Morellian sub-assault rifle she had favored on Bespin would be of little help on Hoth, where range and accuracy meant everything in the open, windswept environment. Ali watched as the rest of the platoon, nearly thirty commandos, began donning their own gear and checking weapons and other equipment. For this mission, each commandos' armor had been quickly re-painted a mottled grey-white, as had their gunship's exterior. Within minutes, the entire platoon was ready, standing by as the gunship's two pilots brought the vessel towards the hangar bay of some long abandoned military station. Small pinpoints of red light blinked on and off around the bay's entrance, glowing dully through the snow-ridden haze of sky. Ali dropped her sidearm, a .48 caliber Enforcer pistol, into the holster strapped to her thigh. "Alright boys, get off my ship!" Ali barked as the gunship's gull-wing doors kicked open and drew back towards the stern of the ship. The interior of the hangar bay looked as frozen as the rest of the planet, which didn't surprise Ali. How one zoologist maintained a station like this in any capacity made Ali wonder. The GALSAF gunship dropped towards the floor of the hangar bay, resting alongside the much larger Luxury 5000 staryacht that seemed to be Garwig's daily driver. Fourth Platoon's commandos began to hop down onto the icy ground, their tang-bottomed boots cutting into the frozen water with dull crunching sounds. Ali stepped down once the troop by was emptied of bodies, the rest of the platoon spreading out to wander around and check out the place.
Already, the Jensaarai had gathered and were talking with a tall, rich colored Yuzzum, who Ali remembered from the datapack regarding the mission must be the zoologist, Pok. She also spotted Crystaall Sehefadu off with a younger girl, already exploring the rest of the hangar bay. A tall, blue-skinned S'kytri also stood with Garwig and his Jensaarai. Ali kept Jonn and Sergent He'gai at her side, and made her way towards the group, catching some of their final words, including those of a short male clad in Mandalorian armor.I don't know, getting this Unkajo to help might be a good idea but I don't like the idea of relying on something effected by the darkside. Or really any common animal that can use the force for that matter. The small man was saying, the vocoder of his helmet adding a metallic twang to his voice. I mean I feel like if we work with the Giant Wampa we should have to okay to attack it encase things get out of hand.Ali listened to the man's words, realizing he was little more than a child, as she stepped up to the group, Jonn and Sergent He'gai at her flank while the rest of her platoon milled about. Their two snipers, Woody Fardak and Yuple Carrin, were standing at the open entrance of the hangar bay, the wind whipping about them as they surveyed the area through their helmet's visors."Ne baati ori'dush ulik as wampas, verd'ika. Ni ven hukaat'kama.1" Ali chuckled, lightly slapping a hand over the boy's shoulder. The young man sported a full set of Mandalorian armor, an impressive display for such a young Mando'ad2. Looking over to Garwig, Ali nodded and smiled politely at the man, who she had grown to respect greatly after their previous joint operation on Bespin."So, I heard something about a mission briefing?" Ali asked, excited for yet another mission with the Jensaarai.1: "Don't worry about evil creatures like wampas, little soldier. I'll watch your back." 2: Mandalorian [Singular]

*Shortly after landing the gunship and powering it down, Kaytra could be found circling the ship, slowly checking for any external damage. Her flight helmet and flight sat on a nearby toolbox. Instead she wore her usual dark brown cargo pants, combat boots and Corellian flight jacket. She rolled the sleeves rolled up on her jacket, the cold effected her prosthetic arms very little. Her gaze fell on the group standing by the hangar bay door. She looked back down at her datapad, she didn't need to really read the data it gave her, she already knew this planet was cold enough to be effecting the gunships performance. Shaking her head, she turned her gaze to her co-pilot.*
"Lets hope their not running any night missions. This planets cold enough during the day."

Asha nodded, tapping frost and ice from sections of the outer hull with the butt of a hydrospanner. "They'd be crazy to go out in this weather, Jedi powers or not." Asha muttered, squatting down and checking under the fuselage for frozen fluids and debris. Asha was garbed in a thick jacket and trousers, her bodysuit kept her warm underneath. Her breath frosted in plumes before her face, coating the hull of the gunship with condensation. Asha completed her inspection, returning the hydrospanner to the tool compartment within the rear of the cockpit. "It'll take a plasma torch to defrost this thing when we get back to the Armada. We should've brought a bunch of Tee-Forty-Sevens," Asha muttered, returning to Kaytra's side. She nudged the other woman with an elbow as she kept her own arms crossed over her chest. "You going out with them or what?" She asked, jerking her head towards the rest of the platoon and kicking more snow off her boots.

*Kaytra glanced over at the group then back to her datapad.*
"I don't know, maybe. Haven't given it much thought." *She paused for a moment before giving a shrug.* "But..it never hurts to know what's going on. Be back in five. See about getting us a Tee-Forty-Seven while I'm gone would?"
*She placed the datapad back onto the toolbox next to her helmet. Without another word she jogged over to the group and stood next to Ali. She gave the women a nod and whispered just loud enough for her to hear.*
"What have I missed?"

Asha nodded as @kaytra took her leave. "I'll just be with the ship then. Text me an update when you have one!" She called out, but the other pilot had already started off and didn't hear her. Wrinkling her nose and wishing she'd brought it up sooner, Asha watched the other woman jog off to join Leftenant Hadrix and the rest of the platoon for the official briefing. Returning to her work, Asha clambered into the cockpit and dropped down into her seat, keying in another systems check of the gunship's software. While that was running, she reran the temperature readouts, making sure the larty would be ready to start up again at a moment's notice.Leftenant Ali Hadrix, 4th Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 1st IBCT, GALSAF Ali was waiting for the Yuzzum zoologist to begin his brief, one arm crossed over her chest, the other elbow resting atop it as she chewed on a fingernail. Leftenant Kaytra soon appeared at her side, quietly pushing through the several armored commandos between them. "What have I missed?" The woman asked, her voice little more than a whisper. Ali gathered a piece of fingernail between her lips and blew it away, then leaned slightly towards Kaytra and whispered back, "Not much. Poachers taking on wampas, cutting the population down too much. Apparently the species is already endangered, so our job is to slot 'em all." Ali leaned back away, before returning a moment later, realizing what fact she'd casually forgotten. "Oh, and there's a huge wampa running the pack that lives in the valley. He's like…forty feet tall or something. Even has a name: Unkajo." Ali summarized, looking over at Kaytra when she didn't speak up immediately. "You're not worried, are you?" Ali teased quietly, jabbing the pilot lightly in the ribs. "Hibii gar beskad, ya?"1 Ali suggested, reverting for the moment to her native language of Mando'a. She couldn't remember if Kaytra spoke any at all, though considering it was GALSAF's main operating language before even Basic, she assumed the pilot would have picked some up during her rotation through the commando training course Tagira ran personally.1: "Take your knife, ya?"

*Kaytra raised and eyebrow at what Asha said, before laughing some.*
"Do you think we could fit him into the gunship once we got him? He would be an impressive trophy." *She then gave the Leftenant a sly grin.* "Of course I brought my knife. Never leavee home without it."
*She glanced around the group before turning her attention beck to Asha. Keeping her voice slightly lower, she spoke with slight concern.*
"A heads up though. I'm not flying the gunship after dark, at least not on this chunk of ice. The engines on the thing are taking to much ice build up even during the day. And if we get stranded out there after dark.." *She didn't need to finish her sentence, she was sure the Leftenant already had the idea. Kaytra knew she was a good pilot, but she wasn't foolish enough to risk the lives of her squad mates.*

Ali raised an eyebrow at @kaytra's quipped response. "Gar etyc dal'ika, ni ru'gana kar'tayl gar ru'cuyi as chaavla!"1 Ali muttered back, a smile playing on her lips. She was going to enjoy having Leftanant Kaytra as her pilot, that was undeniable. Ali's smile faltered slightly as Kaytra switched topics and voiced her concerns over running the gunship at night. Her smile faded completely as she addressed the pilot's concerns somberly. "You're right, and I was planning on speaking against it. Don't worry, ver'alor2, we're not taking the larty anywhere without daylight." Ali nodded her affirmation, then patted Kaytra lightly on the shoulder. "Thanks for bringing it up, it's always good to have a pilot's word about her own ship."
1: "You dirty little girl, I had no idea you were such a scoundrel!" [Informal, affectionate] 2: Leftenant, as in rank

*As Crystaall got back with the group and waited for Ursi to catch up with her, she noticed Ali and her group arrive. She had a close connection with the woman after the Bespin raid. 'Ali.. I wasn't expecting her here.' She thought to herself as she watched Ali look at her and focus on the last part of the discussion.*
"Pok... how strong is Unkajo's presence in the force? I'm trained with sensing strong beings within the Force, but I'm not getting much. That or I need to start meditating more to regain my strength in that ability."

She said with a smile, then walked with Crystaall up to the others for the briefing.=Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh= Looking over at Jan'ika Fett and the two Imperial Knights sent by Xeonon Solomon to see if they were ready for the briefing, Garwig spoke to Pok the Yuzzem."We're ready for the briefing, Pok. You may..." It was then Garwig received the message from Ali Hadrix . After listening to it on his comm, Garwig spoke to the others."Give it a minute. Seems Ali and her people are on the way here. They must be close given how clear the transmission is coming in." He said, then answered Ali.:: Roger that, Ali. We'll see you here at the abandoned rebel base. ::It didn't take long after that for Ali as well as those with her to come to the hangar. With everyone present, Garwig looked to Pok."Ok, let's begin the briefing." =Pok the Zoologist= Nodding to the Saarai-kaar, the large Yuuzem made his way to a large wall in the area. Some nearby old oil drums with fire within them gave off enough light so those in the area could see the wall, as well as the photos and written markings on it. Due to not having a holoprojector in the area, the Yuzzem was going to use these things to explain the situation."Nearby this here old base is an area called the Wampa valley. Itself on one end of the valley, while on the other end is the abandoned Echo base that was more famously used by the Rebel Alliance." Pointing to some large holopictures he had on the wall, he continued to explain the mission."These here are images of the various poachers who've recently set up camp within the old Echo base to carry out their illegal hunting of the Wampas within the valley. At the time I was doing research on the Wampas in the valley, on behalf of the University of Coruscant who considered me a good choice to send here due to my resistance to the harsh weather on Hoth. Despite all my attempts to get them to leave, they've been a stubborn group, and their firepower makes them difficult to approach." He then showed holopictures of various holopictures of their weaponry. The poachers seemed to have possession of WLO-5 speeder tanks, starhawk speeder bikes, SPMA's, AT-TE's, AT-RT's, AT-XT's, battle droids, and a few other weapons that it seemed they acquired via the black market."Besides their illegal hunting of the Wookiees, they're also using them as "target practice" for the weapons they've got. Your mission is to capture and or destroy their weapons, as well of course to get the poachers to surrender." Pointing to another holopicture, it showed an image of what looked to be caves."Nearby this base is a system of caverns that are connected throughout Wampa valley and Echo base. We are to go through these caves to first find Unkajo..." Looking Crystaall Sehefadu, Pok answered her.who is not Force sensitive, and fight him, though not kill him or terribly hurt him so he can be swayed to joining us easier through usage of the Force. With him tame and in control by us, the Wampas will be sure to not a danger to us during the fights against the poachers." Showing a picture of Echo base, the Yuzzem continued."After getting Unkajo to join us, we'll continue through the caverns to Echo base to get in a surprise attack on the poachers. With the attack, we'll force them all out onto wampa valley, where they'll be easier pickings for us and the Wampas. During the attack on the occupied Echo base and the battle in Wampa valley, be sure to destroy or take any of their weaponry so as to lessen their firepower." After saying all that, he then looked to everyone in the area."Once the poachers surrender, we'll use the Force to have Unkajo and the rest of the Wampas retreat back into the caves. After that, we'll get any poachers in the area within cells at the Echo base so authorities can take them in. Any weapons you guys steal from the poachers you can take with you off this planet as a sort of payment for your help here. Any questions?" The Yuzzem asked.

A look of surprise wrote itself onto Ali's face as she caught Crystaall Sehefadu's eye. It wasn't that Ali hadn't know Crystaall would be there, she was just…someone Ali had wanted to see. Crystaall was just returning to the group, the younger girl, presumably a new student, in tow. Ali shook the surprised look from her face and clicked her tongue against the inside of her cheek as she made eye contact with the Jensaarai woman, highlighting the gesture with a wink. Before leaving the Armada over Mandalore, Ali had applied a shade of makeup to her lips, which she showed off by parting them into a smile as she inclined her head in Crystaall's direction as if to say "Hey, girl." Garwig had let it slip over comms after the Bespin mission that Crystaall would be joining him for the Hoth operation that followed, which had, in part, led to Ali's request to Captain Shane that her platoon be assigned yet again to work with the Jensaarai leader. Given that their operations were small-time, more intimate than the old showdowns between entire factions of the Light and Dark sides, Ali figured she'd have plenty of time to get cozy operating with the woman again. The two of them had connected quite pleasantly on Bespin; Crystaall had spent most of the time before the fighting making Ali jealous with her tech and opportunities, and the rest of the time helping keep everyone alive in the following battle. The side affect of this was Ali had developed a steady admiration for the other woman. Her dedication and focus on the objective were qualities any Mando'ad wanted in any vod1, but were especially critical in a potential riduur.2 Ali wasn't looking (if she wanted to lie to herself) but she had identified qualities in Crystaall that she would want in any potential partner. They were good, strong qualities, and Ali felt lucky to have met the other woman at all. However, Ali's interest in working with the Jensaarai was as much about Crystaall as it was the general sense of camaraderie and community they exemplified. Working with GALSAF exposed one to a unique sense of belonging, and Ali had gotten used to seeing that in her allies. Crystaall herself had more than simply welcomed Ali into her life, it was if she had been waiting for her to show her face. While their Jensaarai counterparts were different in many ways, particularly culturally so, from GALSAF's commandos, there were a shocking amount of similarities. Each one Ali counted as a strength, and she silently thanked the universe for bringing the two groups together, regardless of whether or not anything developed between her and Crystaall. For the moment, Ali returned her attention to the front, where the Yuzzum had been prattling on for several long moments already. Something he said, however, about taming the forty-something foot wampa, tanned Ali's hide."Uh, yes, I have a question." Ali called as the Yuzzum ended his speech. "Why are we bothering with all that Unk…Cujo nonsense when we have the base itself to infiltrate? We sneak in there, take out all the pirates along the way…by the time we clear the base, their armor is all they'll have left. But we can beat that, easy, right? We know all the AT-TE weak spots and everything," Ali promised. "It seems like we could engage the main pirate force and simply deal with the poachers themselves after they return from their hunts in the valley. No need to go wandering into the middle of wampa territory."1: Comrade, sibling [gender neutral] 2: Partner, spouse [gender neutral]

As Ali spoke Aargrah nodded his ascent. Wampas were dangerous, on a world like this equally so as the poachers they were here to take out. Of course he kept it to himself, there was no point in parroting the question instead he stood there silently wrapping his wings around his body to preserve a layer of warm air around him. Keeping his eyes on the hairy researcher he awaited a reasonable answer from him but something told him it would come from someone else.

*Crystaall heard Ali's suggestion and quietly nodded to herself. Their experience togethor on Bespin was more than just fighting within the heat of the mission. Crystaall had lost control of herself and jer emotions on their way into battle. To her surprise, Ali had calmed her down in a matter of seconds and mamaged to get Crystaall focused again. She described herself as a warrior, and any warrior would prefer to have anyone by their side that can keep their own focus and encourage the other to do the same. Crystaall grinned at the small wink and decided she should ad an adaptation of Ali's suggestion.*
"I agree with Ali. The only issue is that charging them would only agravate these men to attack the wampas more, and they'd also attack us with the same force. I say we do an intelligence recon. Me, Ursi and two others who are good with stealth should be able to get inside the base undected, mark key locations, gather intel, and possibly attack from within, breaking any valuable time they could have during a raid to regroup. Of course this, team will have to be aware that the others will try to align themselves with the wampas and make an attack from their end. Knowing this, the wampas will prove a threat to the stealth team if we're not careful."

Jonn lifted the white balaclava over his mouth, white mist forming as his breath escaped. His gloved hand trembled slightly as he lifted a cigarette to his lips and lit it. Unlike his fellow Commandos Jonn opted out of the GALSAF issue Katarn armor instead wearing only a plate carrier with durasteel inserts, front and back. He also had on an armorweave underlay beneath his clothing, which consisted of cold weather fatigues in a mottled grey and white color. He was packing standard issue GALSAF Verpine-class weapons, carbine and shatter-pistol.
Standing near Leftenant Ali and Sergeant Huff, Jonn was barely holding it together. He was just going through the motions. While on the exterior he appeared calm and stoic, inside was a different story. The previous missions had left his energy reserves low and it took everything he had to suppress the hunger. Especially when surrounded by individuals that exuded such strong deliciously exquisite energy.
Jonn redoubled his efforts. Before this mission was done he knew he would feed. Only question being, would it be friend or foe? He hoped it would be the latter.
Jonn remained quiet as he took another deep drag from his cig, barely able to pay attention to the briefing and the people around him as a battle raged within him.

= Consuela Isabel Monteiro = She is an enigma of sorts. No one knows anything accurate about her history, race or origin. Though she appears human, she has often exhibited abilities and qualities that aren't possible for most humans. No medical records, no true identity, and she has yet to make a single sound, by voice or even naturally, making it impossible to gather anything about her. This woman is a shadow that lurks in the background, a Jane Doe, and that is all that she is known as most of the time. She is not wont to draw attention to herself unless absolutely necessary. That has always been her way, and why she excels at tasks of infiltration, becoming a ghost to all, the mist of the winds. No one pays her any mind, or even acknowledges her presence when she disembarks from the gunship with everyone else. Whether this is by her doing or just that she is so easily overlooked is not clear, but it suits the guarded lady well. She likes that people overlook her, and it doesn’t trouble her in the least; she is not so image conscious that she would feel offended at being ignored by even men, and if she were image-conscious, then she would consider herself a fine beauty. Looking to be anywhere from her early to mid twenties, slender yet curvy in all the right places, with exotic features, alluring eyes, thick pouty red lips, and thick, wavy dark brown hair that she allows to grow all the way past her shoulders; when she wants to be, she can be a serious distraction.
When she wants to be.
This mission here does not require her to be such, however, and thus, she stays inconspicuous, unassuming and out of everyone’s way. She listens and watches all that transpires around her, gathering the necessary information about the mission briefing, while at the same time, reminiscing in the past. She has been to Hoth before, a lifetime ago, for a completely different life, a different purpose. It wasn’t her first choice in lifestyle, but she seldom ever complained, if at all. Back then she was almost a creature of drive, purpose and pure instinct; Drive brought her into existence, Purpose gave her all she will need, and Instinct helped her survive. She has changed very little from that time, but perhaps she is different now. After all, she’s with GALSAF now, isn’t she? Is it better? Did she just trade one set of chains for another? Or will she truly make a difference this time around? Do better, and make life better for people in general? She either does not know, care or keeps it private, but she alone knows what to think on that matter.
She chews on her lower lip worriedly. Anyone not familiar with her would think her to be lost in thought, but she is what one would call a multitasker. So while she looks like she’s not all there, she is in fact very attentive and hears everything that is said, and even picks up on some conversation she probably shouldn’t be hearing. It doesn’t matter though. Their secrets are safe with her. She’s not going to tell anyone. No one knows if she can even speak at all. When she joined GALSAF, it was...interesting, and a very one-sided conversation, needless to say. Though when joining something official like this outfit, some secrets had to be brought into the open. No way they’d take in someone they know completely nothing about. As of now, only Ali, Ander, and the necessary commanding personnel are aware of and know slightly more about the mysterious beauty than the average grunt. Her skills at slicing through even the most secure tech and her strange ability to get into and out of places most would consider virtually inaccessible by humanoids may have a little something to do with their ultimate decision to take her on and put her through the training, which she managed to pass.
She wasn’t sure what use she would be on a mission like this when she was instructed to follow this team, but now she realizes that she does have a use after all. Wampas aren’t exactly a specialty of hers, but she does have some experience with the creatures. In fact, she befriended one of them. When she came to Hoth the first time, she’d been ambushed by the creature. The encounter became harmless for both parties, as she succeeded in turning the creature away, but it also acknowledged her as either an equal, or a friend, such as it is. If wampas are being hunted by poachers, perhaps her “friend” can tell her and the team more about the situation. Either way, she’ll make known her talent to someone who should already be relatively aware, maybe even knowing all along, hence the reason for her being there.
She approaches Ali Hadrix, who is in the midst of conversation with Crystaall. To them, it would have almost looked like she stepped right out of thin air, and appeared before them, though it was certainly not her intent to catch them off guard. It is simply the way she is. She nods at her superior officer and withdraws a datapad from her vest’s inner pocket, then hands it over to the woman. It is a chronicle of her last visit to this planet, and would offer Ali a reminder that she can offer an alternative choice or an edge in dealing with the situation. In fact, her Nsiss-class clawcraft, Black Ice, is still around. She’d like to reclaim the craft if she can while she’s here. And she should go about searching down for her wampa friend if Ali decides to track down this alternative.
Who knows? Perhaps her friend is also connected to the gigantic Unkajo, and may help expedite the situation of the wampas in favor of the GALSAF troops.= Sergio ‘Sam’ Ghomesz = If Consuela is the epitome of silence and stealth, then Sam is the polar opposite in that sense. Clad in the best armor GALSAF could provide, decked out with every imaginable weapon that a single humanoid can possibly carry comfortably, geared for rancor, and more than ten back-up plans, fallback maneuvers and disaster-scale emergency strategies, Sam’s armor noisily announced his presence as he disembarked from the LAAT gunship. Specialized myomer contractable muscles built into the armor whines mechanically with the slightest movements he makes, compensating for the armor’s weight and increasing the man’s strength considerably, he stood still as he listens to the mission briefings and memorizes all the details. Already he has in mind a plan to go – with Ali’s permission – ahead and scout out the mission perimeters, get a lay of the land, consider weak points in the mission and prepare failsafe plans to reduce the risk level to his teammates and all other personnel involved.
Wampas aren’t the easiest creatures to deal with, he thinks, It will take Force-Sensitives of considerable skill to try going for the one that’s as big as they imply it to be. And he isn’t sure that he is necessarily capable, or willing to expose himself in that regard. Indeed, his past as a Jedi and a Republic Trooper is relatively little known. Sam tries not to reveal too much about himself when it isn’t necessary. Though nowhere near as guarded or secretive as Consuela, Sam isn’t exactly an open book either. Very few know about his children, or his wife, all of whom are dead to him, or the tragedies that befell him before he joined GALSAF. He’s comfortable just putting himself in front of his teammates, protecting them with his life. It is clear to most people Sam is just shy of a death wish, and cares little for his own well being in the battlefield. It isn’t that people haven’t tried getting to know Sam. It’s more that he has very little to say, other than to encourage people to love and live life to its fullest, and never take family for granted.
When Ali Hadrix makes a mention of infiltrating the base and taking out the main pirate force and then dealing with the stragglers that return from the hunting trip, Sam gets a disconcerting feel in his gut. Whether it’s the Force or just his own personal discomfort in such confidence is not clear to him. It’s not that Sam doesn’t think highly of the team and Ali’s abilities as a leader. He does. But he also likes to be ready for any surprises, and taking into account the level of equipment this bunch of poachers have – no doubt their prey is an extremely dangerous type – regardless, it speaks volumes of how deadly the hunters are. They aren’t exactly hunting bantha, and he’s pretty certain the culprits are very much aware that they are in the wrong, and that it is only a matter of time before their activities will come to the attention of authorities, like GALSAF and the Jensaarai. They are surely prepared for such eventualities, and he’s pretty sure they aren’t planning to get caught or go down without a fight. So he raises his hand and waits for Consuela to finish with her “conversation” with Ali before speaking himself.:: Commander Hadrix. :: He says, :: Considering that the poachers are hunting extremely dangerous predators, and they are no doubt aware that their activities are criminal, violating laws, and will draw the attention of individuals such as ourselves, it is highly likely they will be expecting us. As I am doubtful that they are interested in getting caught, they will surely have traps and even plans to deal with us. If I may, I can scout ahead for us and relay my findings. I am familiar with cold planets and their terrain. ::

Ali smiled secretively as Crystaall Sehefadu grinned in response to her greeting. She bit her bottom lip before letting it slip from between her teeth, feeling her neck flush warmly. Crystaall went on to suggest a recce of both the base and the valley before sending in the bulk of their forces. Ali nodded her agreement with Crystaall's contribution, then offered her own snipers in response to the Jensaarai woman's call for extra stealth-oriented personnel. Ali looked over her shoulder and hollered, "Fardak! Carrin! Get over here!" The two commandos standing by the hangar bay's wide entrance turned to look her way, then trotted over shortly thereafter. Ali looked them both over before glancing back at Crystaall, gesturing to the other woman with a delicate hand. "Fardak, you'll be with Crystaall, as will I." Ali worried briefly that the self-assignment might make Crystaall feel uncomfortable. She just liked working with the woman. "Carrin, you're taking point for the follow team." Fardak and Carrin both nodded their acceptance, then broke off, the former joining Crystaall and Ursi, the latter staying in place as Ali covered the distance between herself and the Jensaarai woman. She stood beside Crystaall, her arms crossed over her chest, then leaned in to whisper, "Recon sounds fun, I'm glad you suggested it."In the meantime, the rest of the platoon was organizing itself. Yuple Carrin gathered several other commandos, including Sergent Huff He'gai and his squad. The rest of the platoon would remain organized into their respective squads and teams, prepared to act as the main fighting force against the poachers and their small army. Ali watched from her position beside Crystaall as the rest of her soldiers gathered. Briefly, she caught sight of Sylas, who seemed absorbed in some sort of internal thought process. He looked sickly, though that could have been the cold. He most certainly wasn't his usual self, annoying and socially foolhardy. Ali made a mental note to speak with him before they made off. Out of the corner of her eye, Ali spotted another one of her soldiers, Consuela Isabel Montiero. The woman was beautiful and shapely, a severe distraction to someone like Ali, if she were to be honest. But she was quiet, silent, in fact, and did her job, which Ali appreciated. Consuela seemed to know Ali was looking her way, and in what seemed like an instant, the woman was standing before her, pulling a datapad out of a pouch within her vest. Ali took the 'pad and read over the information displayed there, which seemed to be how Consuela preferred to communicate. To the point, to be sure, a quality Ali praised with a smile. It seemed Consuela had previous contact with the wampas of the valley, and had managed to develop a tentative bond, of sorts, with one of them. The 'pad also noted the location of a vessel Consuela had left on the planet some time before her enlistment with GALSAF. Both of these facts intrigued her, and she decided it would be best for Consuela to lead a detachment of her own. She typed a note into the datapad for Consuela to read, speaking with her in the same manner.Take three soldiers to work in conjunction with Carrin's team. When we break for the base, take off and locate that ship, get a check on its condition. If it's viable, have on of your men pilot it back here, in case it's needed. If not, leave it for later. Either way, see what you can't do about contacting that wampa after you're done with the ship. Ali handed the 'pad back to Consuela, then turned her head once more to see Sam standing beside her. "Kriffing aye, what now?" Ali demanded. Undaunted, Sam began rambling on about the obvious. Ali clapped him on the shoulder, "Ratiin cuyi tsikador."1 She replied in Mando'a. "You'll be with me on Crystaall's recon team." She called for Fardak's attention, then drew her thumb across her throat and pointed to Carrin. The gesture was clear, you're no longer coming with us, stay with Carrin.1: "Always be prepared."

"Thanks for bringing it up, it's always good to have a pilot's word about her own ship."1: "You dirty little girl, I had no idea you were such a scoundrel!" [Informal, affectionate] 2: Leftenant, as in rank *Kaytra gave a nod. Hearing a pilots word for their ship was better then hearing anyone else. But that wasn't the sole reason for her concern either. She lowered her voice so only Ali could hear.*
"I'm more worried about the squad. The ship can be replaced. Their lives can't."
