And then they were moving. Ahead of them was a security checkpoint (very likely with thick security doors), and, beyond that was a promised ship to take them off this rock. Behind him, he could hear the old man say that it was only a couple hundred yards ahead. The lizard and Mando expressed their concerns - a Sith, they said. He would have been more terrified, if he had not just escaped from a Sith. Granted, that one wasn't as interested in murdering him, yet, was still tricky enough to deal with.
Then, from behind, the roar of blaster fire - with a shout, Janos spun on his heel, his rifle (procured after he had dropped it) rising to train on the old man. It was safe to say they didn't trust each other yet. But then he saw what he was firing at. Big. Black. lightsaber pike.
Janos didn't need anyone to tell him to fire at the thing; thumbing the safety off the rifle, he returned fire - only to be astounded as the being actually deflected the shots in mid-air. Janos had heard stories, of course, of the considerable abilities of force users; this was the first time he had seen it, really seen it, in person. Thumbing the setting switch on his blaster rifle, he switched to stun; the wave like blasts would, in theory, be much harder for the Sith to deflect - the blasts simply warping around the blade.
Dutch, frozen in fear at the sight of the towering black force of nature, was silently quaking in place, unmoving, finger spasming on the trigger of his rifle - which had run out of power.
"Dutch! Move you little bastard!" Shouted Janos, making a move to run forward to the alien. But thee blaster fire was so thick, the bolts so erratic; not even Janos with his implants could keep track of all of them. Even as he moved, a stray bolt snagged him in the shoulder, deflecting off his internal armor and diffusing before it could do any serious damage. Skidding to a stop, slapping the rifle into his other still working hand, Janos put down suppressive fire as best he could, torn between going after his friend and retreating. "Damn it Dutch! Move your ass! Move you little spit!"

Vasari made her way quickly through the First Order Base - most of the doorways opened to her having been successfully rewired by the technicians frantically attempting to get the base back in order before Lord Savage arrived. They would of course be to late - he would have no doubt arrived by now. Closing her eyes for a half moment she focused and there he was... she could sense him - sense his rage, his raw power. The feeling was intoxicating, but at the same time she was hesitant about the power that rage could unleash. Shaking her head she pressed on, moving through the base taking the most direct route towards the landing platforms. That was their out, it had to be. The Jedi had come with the ship which had arrived to transfer prisoners to the city - Janos would be there with her, he was sure of it She could feel it.
"Where are you, lovely?"
She came to a corridor cross and felt the force pull her down a hall she had not intended on taking. It took her off her course and she hesitated a moment her conscious mind fighting the will of the force. She closed her eyes and exhaled - her hand resting on the hilt of her saberstaff. Since she had left the Warden's office only one bit of her illusion remained in tact - the wound upon her side and the blood gently pooling at her rib cage. It was a minor illusion to hold in place and it focused on her appearance which would make the illusion believable to any but the most observant and the most powerful force users. After that brief pause she turned down the hall and continued her race towards the land pads but this time taking a less direct route... She opened her mind and searched once again for the Jedi... she felt herself closer they were held up - engaged by the bases shadow trooper - a formidable enemy for the group perhaps - but nothing like what they were about to face should her Master find them. Her mind broke into two parts one upon her surroundings the other shielding itself and her location before reaching out to the mind of the Jedi woman she had encountered earlier.
<<You feel him don't you... the presence of my master... quite an Intoxicating presence is it not? You had better hope i find you, before he does...>>

*Ellie could feel the trooper before he rounded the corner. She knew what was going to happen, what she didn't want to happen. Blaster fire filled the air as she turned towards the assailant. Without looking at Erpon, she spoke.* "Get them to the landing pad." *Shoving her rifle into Janos's arms, she moved towards the trooper. Her hand reached into the small pouch on her belt and gripped her lightsaber. The handle was wrapped in worn black leather with red strips of fabric woven in-between. Gripping the blade firmly, she stepped between Fel and the trooper. Raising the hilt, she pointed it at the trooper and activated the red blade. The blade shot to life with a fierce growl.* "It's time for you to go Fel. Milas still waiting at the ship."

Erpon could smell the trooper before he rounded the corner. His scent was unnatural, too clean. And there was something off about the way he moved. Influenced by darker forces. As Fel opened up on the Shadowtrooper, Erpon wasted no time ushering the rest of them to the security checkpoint. He turned to see the Mandalorian step in between the spacer and the Shadowtrooper. Noticing the way she moved, the fluidity and sureness about her movements and actions, so calm and casual. His eyes widened.
"Jeedai!"
He hissed. The Mandalorian was a Jedi! Revered by his species, he held great respect for the Jedi. Regardless of his usual rule while hunting, his instincts told him to help the Jedi. Shoving past Jano and the Sullustan, he unslung his rifle and prepared ot assist the Mandalorian Jedi...

Fel watched as Ellie ignited her sabre, and ceased his rapid-fire assault on the robed figure at the end of the hall, instead switching to short, controlled bursts, varying the target location and forcing the black-clad figure to move his sword, instead of his body. It seemed Erpon was ignoring Ellie's words, and joined in the attack on the mystery guest... but Fel didn't need to be told twice. While continuing his sporadic attack (some shots of which certainly looked like they were hitting...) he began to fall back to the Sec room, leaving Ellie and Erpon to fight it out. Don't be long, Ellie. I'm not waiting... so you best haul ass when this is over with.
The blaster-fire had been thick. Repeaters can really pour down the heat, and the force user had been able to deflect much of what Fel, Janos and Ellie had sent his way. It was only when he backed into the Sec room, let the repeater -- its barrel now red-hot -- fall on its sling, and drew his pistol once more, that he realized his guts were hurting in an all new way. He reached down, to feel the smoking hole just above his belt, and noticed another on his upper thigh. Both ugly. No time. He hobbled into the room, turned to see Janos and the Sullustan. He spoke, and this time his voice was a gurgle-whisper. OK. Let's get to the ship.

Dutch, jerking out of his stupor, wordlessly dropped his rifle and ran for the security point. The little rat coward.
Janos, meanwhile, was retreating backward; his own rifles powerpack running empty, he dropped his own rifle - and was summarily surprised as the Mando shoved her own rifle into his hands. Moving forward, she seemed to point at the black figure - a lightsaber blade boiling into existence from her grip
Jeedai? A Jedi? Janos stopped firing, quite honestly enthralled by the spectacle. He had never met a Jedi, only heard of their deeds. But...he had never heard of a Mandalorian Jedi. Was that even a thing? And her blade, it was red. Didn't Sith only use red? What the hell did he know. He didn't hang out with force-users. Taking the barabel at its word, Janos moved backward through the portal to the Sec room, joining Fel and Dutch. "Holy Kark. Holy kark!"
Cursing, Janos slung his own rifle over his shoulder, watching as the old man did the same - who winced and checked his own wounds. They didn't look too good. Reaching down to his utility belt, pulling out a pair of stim-shots, Janos tossed one of the shots to the man. "Heads up. Won't heal you, but it'll make you feel like a million bucks." Stabbing his own into his thigh, he sighed as he felt the chemicals circulate through his bloodstream like a surge of lightning.
Trying to move his busted arm - the shoulder was good and burnt from the blast he took to his shoulder, Janos winced as the damaged tissue screamed in pain. "Damn it, I'm rusty. That was sloppy."
"Frell. Are you going to make it? I can't fly a damn ship."

A ripple within the Force alerted him seconds before the security door opened. Instinctively, Savage reached out with his mechanical left hand as a terrified Sullustan tried to bolt past him. Running headlong into the Zabrak's mechanical grasp, the Sullustan shrieked both in surprise and pain as Viox slowly began closing his fingers. A menacing grin crossed his face from beneath his hood. Ignoring the Sullustan's pained shrieks, gurggling noises and squirming, he spoke. His voice dripping with a sadistically cheerful tone.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here...hmm? An infamous smuggler, a notorious thief, a lowlife Sullustan...and...?" he paused for a moment, listening to the distant sounds of combat. Raising an eyebrow, he spoke again."Someone engaged with my security detail. Aren't we an interesting mix?" he chuckled to himself, still ignoring the Sullustan's high pitched squeals and the increasingly violent squirming. "I believe you are regretting your decision to come back this way, no? Whatever farce you have attempted ends NOW!"
The Zabrak shouted his final word and clamped his left hand shut with a wet squelching sound. The Sullustan's panicked cries ceased as did his movements, aside from the occasional spasm. Tossing the limp corpse aside, Savage lowered his left hand and raised his gloved right hand, blue-white electricity crackling between his fingers. His grin widened and he began to laugh. This was going to be most pleasing, he was certain of it...
Meanwhile...
Three stray shots connected with the Shadowtrooper. Fortunately the armor absorbed the impact, though one shot did manage to peg him in the shoulder, between the plates of armor. The scent of burnt flesh greeted his nose. Beneath the helmet he sneered as the aged spacer, violet haired prisoner and the Sullustan made a run for it. The female, a Jedi, according to the Barabel's shout, had decided to square off with him. The red blade of her lightsaber materialized in her hand. An odd color choice for a Jedi, to be sure, but regardless of blade color, she would regret challenging him. Even injured, he was still a formidable opponent. As the blaster fire died down completely, he shifted his stance, widening the spread of his feet and shifting his way on his back leg. Adjusting his grip on the pike, he angled it so the blade ran parallel to the floor. And then he waited, knowing the Jedi would come rushing in...

Fel straightened, and lowered his weapon as the Zabrak choked out Janos' Sullustan friend. Can't I just be famous? Why 'infamous?' Always with the questioning my character... Fire.
The ever-open comm-link gave Melia, aboard the D5 Mantis 'Spear' all the information she needed. its triple capital-ship class turbolasers and chin-mounted twin laser cannon were previously sighted by Fel toward the sec entryway, and the ship remained powered-up, so that the weapons platform didn't have to use its own sub-standard separate power supplies. These formidable weapons opened up as Melia pressed the link-fire triggers on the ship's yoke. The man-made entranceway to the mine shaft was nearly obliterated in a hail of weapons-fire meant to cripple Star Destroyers.
Fel dove, tackling Janos around the shoulders, and landed in a heap behind a bulkhead support as the room became swiss cheese. Galdaart Fel didn't care about the mine, the man in the doorway, and -- if push came to shove -- Janos, either. Just his own skin, and that of Melia, doing the fancy firing. Everything else was gravy.

As the infamous Galdaart Fel lowered his weapon and began to speak, Savage felt a twinge through the Force and within the back of his mind. The D5 Mantis behind he was going to fire upon him. No sooner had the word 'fire' left Fel's lips, Savage was already on the move. Being far enough out of the doorway, he twisted to the right and leaped as far and as high as he could. While it was enough to avoid the direct blast from the Mantis' cannons, the explosion and subsequent shockwave from it, caught the airborne Sith, tossing him down between the three story raised landing platforms. Dazed and partially stunned, Savage instinctively reached out with his left hand, managing to clamp down on a protruding service antenna. Slamming hard into the side of the walkway, he gritted his teeth in pain as he could feel the muscles in his left shoulder tearing. Shaking his head to clear his vision and the ringing from his ears, he could feel the burns on the back of his neck and the side of his face. Nothing too severe, but enough to be noticeable. Nothing a few hours in a kolto tank wouldn't fix. Hanging on, he glared up at the now smoldering doorway. Fel was certainly resourceful. Viox respected that about him, but that was where it stopped. The only advantage firing upon that location had given the small group was the time it would take for them to find an alternative escape route. Though, with that being platform three, the other platforms were not as feasible for escape. Hanging on the side of the walkway to platform two, he possessed the advantage. He could reach either of the two remaining platforms before they could. As for the Mantis...well the AD Towers would most likely give it something else to think about. Gathering the Force around him, he found his footing and launched himself straight up the side, coming to rest at the top of the platform. Landing heavily, he shrugged out of his scorched and burnt cloak. Now it was time for the hunt to begin. He could feel his angery brewing. But now was not hte time to unleash it. Inhaling slowly, he calmed himself as best he could, then took off at a jog inside security checkpoint two...

Fel spoke again, after coughing out the duracrete dust and checking to make sure Janos was still breathing. Melia -- take off and dust the point-defense armament, and do what you have to do to stay on-station till we arrive. We'll have to make 'alternate arrangements.' C'mon Janos. C'MON. He pulled the man to his feet and moved for the opposite door to the one they'd entered, as concrete and steel groaned and rained down.
Outside, Mel lifted off, and loosed a quartet of concussion missiles at the nearest AD tower, which exploded in spectacular fashion, and then while hovering, swung the nose of the ship to port, facing platform two, and released a second salvo from the cannons, neatly disposing of the Sith Infiltrator ship...

*Ellie faced the shadow trooper, blade raised and eyes filled with fire. He was waiting for her to make the first move. She would give it to him. With the aid of the force she launched herself forward, lightsaber gripped in both hands ready to strike. The trooper braced himself, shield held tight and pike ready to strike down the oncoming attack. He wasn't prepared for what happened next.*
*The checkpoint behind Ellie exploded in a rain of duracrete and canon fire. Sure it wasn't the distraction Ellie had planned, but it would work just fine. Calling on the force, she shot forward like a rocket. The trooper barely had time to brace himself as Ellies first strike skimmed the top of his shield, throwing sparks in his face. He scarcely saw the second attack coming and swing his pike in to block. Seconds before Ellies blade made contact with the troopers, she shut it off, omce it was past she activated it again. Keeping with the momentum of her swung, she twisted her body and brought her blade down clean through the troopers wrist. The man didn't have time to yell in pain before Ellie grabbed his shield with the force and smashed the top half into his helmet. He hardly gotn his footing before he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Looking down he saw the red blade sticking into his stomach. He glanced up to Ellies face, her sharp blue eyes had a tinit of yellow around the edges. He never had a chance to speak as the woman in front of him pulled out the blade and removed his head in one quick motion.*
*Before the troopers body even hit the ground Ellie was running. She was having a hard time pushing the anger in her down at the moment. Enough so she barely could sense Fel until she rounded a corner and almost ran straight into him.* "What happened to the checkpoint?"

Fel half turned to speak to her but though his lips moved no words were spoken. His face began to disapparate as the Illusion dropped and the image of Fel turned into a swirl of darkness and fire before her eyes.Vasari took a slow measured step out of the shadow in the singular moment she had the Mandalorian "Jedi" at her mercy and pressed her lips against Ellie's - the kiss lasted only a moment before Vasari's form too seemed to disappear from sight. Lights around the corridor that Vasari had lured Ellie into seemed to flicker out of form and fail all together - the doors closed with that ominous hiss they did and the motion sensors deactivated - they wouldn't be opening again, and in the span of seconds since Vasari's form faded from sight her voice echoed in the surrounding darkness around the Jedi.
"Hello Lovely... That was quite a show you put on back there"
Sparks flashed in the darkness as Vasari's form appeared once again at the far end of the corridor, now the only path available to Ellie if she wished to rejoin her comrades. Turning her about with illusion and trickery after the explosion had not been difficult, and sealing her in had been even easier, but now she faced her first real challenge - a warrior of light 'so to speak'. Vasari stepped out of the darkness the sparks occassionally flickering from her fingertips to the durasteel plating of the corridor - without her cloak she was barely armored, wearing only a short skirt and an armorweave wrap around her chest connected to a shoulder pad over her guard arm. Bringing a gloved hand to her side she retrieved her Saberstaff and smirked at the Jedi.
"My Master has come... you have no hope of escape now..."

*Ellie froze in confusion when the form of Fel melted away into a Sith. She was even more confused about what happened when the Sith girl kissed her. Shaking her head to clear it, she slid one foot back into a defensive stance. The anger inside her was beginning to burn even hotter now. She didn't have time for this. As she watched the lights go out and the door lock, it suddenly hit her.* "You! You're the one who placed the illusion of spiders in the base."
*She raised her blade in a defensive position.* "I don't care where your Master is. I'm getting out of here." *So focused on the Sith in front of her that she didn't notice her anger was branching put through the force. The metal paneling underneath her feet began to creek, several pipes on the wall began to groan in protest as they bent inward towards her. She was unintentionally grabbing things in the force and crushing them in anger, an anger that was ready to boil over soon.*

Vasari smirked as she stalked towards the Mandalorian Jedi - her hips swaying back and forth causing her skirt to dance around her hips. The arclets of lightning about her fingers ceased as she thumbed at the saberstaff still at her side. She made no aggressive motions simply watched the one before her, basking in the power she was feeling flow off of her opponent. "Yesss lovely, I am Vasari, last daughter of Clan Nightshade" Her hips danced once more before she came to a halt, still several paces from Ellie. The living force was strong with this one, Vasari could feel the rage fueling her power and soon the corridor began to shake and she could see the visible effects of such power. An airduct fractured from the crushing power of the Mandalorian's presence and unvented atmosphere from the surface began to seep into the corridor adding a light smoky mist to their battleground.
"Don't be that way, lovely... come with me. I feel your strength, your rage. I can show you how to harness that power, I can show you many... many things."
Vasari's tongue danced across her own lips only moments before a subtly seductive smirk crossed her lips. She raised her other gloved hand towards Ellie and curled her fingers in a slow 'come hither' motion, her bright orange eyes locking with the Mandalorian's.Vasari's mind was centered between the first and second current of the force, and using both the knowledge and power she drew from them she expanded her mind towards Ellie's. Voices would reign down upon Ellies mind, voices of her past. Vasari did not have to know much about her to do this, simply allow the third current of the force to slip into the girls mind and access the sufficient memories that were necessary, they would flood her conscious mind and soon overcome her if she was of weak mind. Vasari hoped that would not be the case. Splitting her mind between that task and her own defenses she reached out with the force to softly caress the Mandalorian's mind with her own - her own voice being added to the flood - but stronger and more clear.
<<Dont hold it in any longer Ellie... that is your name... Ellie of Clan Ordo. Release your anger... release your rage and your passion. I can take it!>>

Gone. He was gone. It was so very hard to believe, honestly. How many jobs had they pulled off? How many near misses and close calls had they come out of? As Dutch's body hit the floor, the Sullustan's unblinking black eyes seemed to bore into Janos' own. Limply, Janos' rifle fell out of his hands. He barely registered the old man tackle him to the ground, barely registered the human pull him to his feet, and practically drag him along as permacrete and durasteel rained down around them. The last he saw of Dutch Callahan, was his lifeless corpse being buried by rubble. An unceremonious grave on a backwater spice mine.
When had it happened? When had he formed connections again? Running from his homeworld and out across the stars, not a care for anything or anyone, when had he gotten so close to the damn little alien? He honestly couldn't recall. Dutch was supposed to be a one job hire - a lackey. But he had been so dependable that Janos had used him again and again. Soon they worked on the same ship together, taking and working bigger and bigger jobs. When was it that the he had become a friend, though? And some friend Janos was; he didn't even know the alien's Sullustan name. He didn't know anything about him at all, actually.
"Take us through the mines." Janos whispered hollowly, gripping the human's shoulder. "I...I know the mines. We can escape through there, and collapse them behind us. He'll expect us to go for the pads." Janos' voice cracked, and he coughed, clearing his throat. Shaking his head, he pulled himself together. There would be time to mourn later.

Having fired only a few shots by the time the Mandalorian had managed to take down the lightsaber wielding trooper, Erpon reloaded his rifle. As the woman made her way back to them, she seemed to fall under some sort of trance. The poisonous influence of the Sith that were near by, no doubt. As the entrance behind them exploded inwards and collapsed, Erpon slung his rifle over his shoulder, speaking slowly and clearly to the Jedi. Being strong-willed and trained to resist mental influences, Erpon, whils still susceptible to powerful mind tricks, was probably one of the only ones here right now that could save the Jedi. Approaching the Mandalorian slowly, he gently gripped her wrist wielding the lightsaber and held it down away from him. Placing his other hand on her shoulder, he spoke.
"Jeedai. Come back to the light. The Sith seek to poison your mind. Remember your training and resist."
Hopefully his calm mind and reinforcing words would be enough to free the Mandalorian's mind. He wasn't looking forward to the alternative, if he failed.

Fel hauled the younger man along a few hallways and down a flight of stairs until he got his feet under him, seeming to come 'round, and only then did he pause to check his wounds, grunting as he tore off the arm of his shirt to stuff into his guts. The air was awful down here, and he coughed again, red-brown blood leaking from the corner of his mouth, even as he moved on. The gun was heavy in his hand, and he knew they couldn't keep this up for long. Hurry, Janos... can't pull this off for too long. Activating the comm unit, he spoke to Melia once more. Get clear, and stay close, we're coming through the mines. coming to a fork, one rising steeply upward, the other seeming to descend further, he looked askance at the man beside him. Which way? It was then that the boot-heels echoed on the floor, and Fel knew what was coming. Get behind me! The DL-2 barked once, twice, a third time -- enough to flatten the Stormtroopers against the wall, and then Fel unslung and primed the T-21. The first trooper peered around the corner and was met with blaster-fire that reduced his armour to scrap. Lemme guess -- that way!

*Something was wrong Ellie could feel it. Not just wrong that something was setting off her danger signs around in her mind, but something hidden in the force. She gripped her blade, preparing to attack. All the anger in her quickly drained away when the Sith said her name. This caught Ellie off guard and wondering how she knew this. Before she could speak, memories began to flood her mind.*
*She staggered some as the memories came pouring in. The voice of her sister, friends, even people she fought and took the lives of. All overwhelming, all reminding her of everything she had turned into. She couldn't figure the how the voices were there, but she could guess the why, the Sith in front of her. Her anger began to rise and she was about to give in when a voice broke through the darkness, then a face.*
"Jeedai. Come back to the light.*She looked up to see her old Master standing in front of her. The sight of him pushed all the other voices away. A strange calm washed over her, one she couldn't explain.*"The Sith seek to poison your mind. Remember your training and resist."
*She opened her mouth to speak, but her Master was gone. Instead Erpon stood beside her with his hand on her shoulder. Was it just his voice all along? Her eyes turned back to the Sith. Anger tried to build up again, but the image of her Master helped her crush it down. Taking a deep breath, she centered herself and brought her blade into a defensive stance. Now she had a calm mind, calmer than it had been in months, she was ready.* "Thank you Erpon. Now let's get past her and to that ship."

Jogging through the station, a roughed up looking High Admiral had managed to make his way to the Warden's office. Knowing full well that the mines were the only logical choice for the group to seek their escape, he had time to speak with the Warden. His tunic was scorched, his face was covered in soot and his shoulder was throbbing painfully, but he was still standing. If that was the best they had to throw at him, then they were in for a surprise. Anger, pain and an iron will to survive were good motivators. And he had endured far worse during his tenure as Wings of the Triumvirate on Rhommamool in his younger years. No, this little rag-tag group wouldn't be able to bring him down. He was hard to kill, even without the added power of the Zabrak elders floating around in his head. As he approached the Warden, he spoke.
"The prisoner is no longer alone. While they are now one member less, they are being aided by Galdaart Fel, our Barabel hunter and a Jedi... and I suspect Ms. Nightshade has a hand in this as well..."
Savage trailed off for a few moments, lost in thought. The Warden spoke, breaking the silence.
"Sir. All available troops are making their way to the mines. But there are several entrances that we know of that aren't properly secured. The three most obvious ones are mined with baradium charges, but there are two more for sure that are accessible enough to use for an escape route."
Listening, while still deep in thought, Savage weighed his option. Even with the forces remaining within the station, there were not enough to overwhelm and take down the group. They would only work to slow them down. And he didn't want to launch an all out invasion from his ship in orbit. He wanted them to escape. But he needed to keep the pressure on, otherwise they might suspect something. No, they would escape, that much was certain. But now it was also time to tie up loose ends. His operations here on Kessel were now compromised. He'd have to seek the desired information he was after, elsewhere. But this little trial run had succeeded, that much was clear. Clearing his throat, he spoke to the Warden once more.
"Muster your forces, Warden. I want everything you have left in pursuit. As for this station, our trial is over. Gather all available data we've gleaned from these prisoners and wipe all databanks. I want no trace of us ever being here..."
Trailing off again, Savage strode over to the center console. Smack dab right in the middle of the console was a large red button, beneath a glass cover. Clenching his left, blood covered, mechanical hand, he punched the glass and pressing the button down in the process. An automated voice rang out over the station's loudspeaker system.
Reactor safety protocols disengaged. Reactor meltdown commencing. Estimated time to reach minimum safe distance, twenty-five minutes.
As the message continued to repeat, Savage grinned. The station's destruction would leave a nice sized crater on Kessel's surface, but beyond that, this world was still useful. There was no point in destroying it. But now, with the station on the verge of destroying itself, it would give the fleeing prisoner something else to think about.
"Have all of your men head to the first surface passage to the mines that isn't rigged with explosives..."
The Warden had paled considerably, but still did his duties as the rest of the technicians and various officers within the control room began preparing to evacuate the base.
"And the second entrance?"
A menacing grin split the Zabrak's face.
"Leave that to me..."
And with a quick glimpse at the holo-map on the central table displaying the various marked and newly discovered entrances to the mines, he left the room. Time to put on a good show...

Vasari held her ground her fingers tightening around the hilt of her saberstaff, but she could feel the power of her illusion slipping within the Mandalorian's mind. The brief connection between their two minds - the moment they were flowing together alone the same current of the force, Vasari could feel the raging emotions and feelings of the Jedi in question. The fundamental struggle that existed within her, and the different beings that influenced her now. The Barabel's words had played a roll in the visions, and had given her a moments clarity where her own strength could gain her a foothold against the already weakening grasp Vasari had upon her mind. ~Sloppy work... botched results~ It was true the illusion had been cast as a secondary option, she had originally planned on simply killing the girl, but a feeling upon the Force had stopped her, and she had learned to listen to those feelings, knowing that ignoring them came with two high a cost.
Vasari's head tilted to the side slightly - a momentary flicker of concern slipped over her twisted smirk - then she felt her illusions drop, the Jedi's mind was free. She overheard the quiet exchange between the two and it would have been so easy to taught her now into a fight, she was ready for one, even if her priorities had shifted slightly for the time being. Raising her voice over the swirling sound of escaping atmosphere she spoke her voice powerful and clear - and more than that, perfectly calm.
"Your ship has already left, Janos and Fel are gone... you are the only one left, and that Barabel... is on the payroll of the First Order."
She raised her saberstaff - still inactive - and pointed at the tracker by her side.
"He was called here to hunt Janos, and if you take him with you, you'll lead him right to his quarry, the most illusive thief in the Universe... quite the hunt yes?"
She held her ground, her stance shifting into an 'en guard' position lowering her saberstaff to her side, still hoping to talk the Jedi down to stall her only a bit longer to insure Janos' escape. Her plans were cut short however by the loud blaring voice of the base security system.
::Reactor safety protocols disengaged. Reactor meltdown commencing. Estimated time to reach minimum safe distance, twenty-five minutes.::
Her eyes narrowed instantly as she muttered under her breath. This was the work of Viox, she knew it - the Warden was to much of a coward to engage such a reckless and destructive protocol upon his own command simply for the loss of a single Prisoner. She considered reaching out to the Sith Lord, but doing so would weaken her position more than it already was. The only way to turn the tide of influence with Savage and still insure Janos' escape was the capture of this Jedi, or even better the Jedi's consenting surrender. She silenced the concern and need for haste that was building up in her chest - She had plenty of time - and locked eyes with the Jedi once again.
"Leave the Hunter here... I have no ties to the First Order, I can offer you safe passage off this planet, and more than that - payment for your services here, I can guarantee you Janos does not have the credits to pay you, every word out of that mans mouth is a Lie..."
The harsh hinting of the realistic truth played at the corners of Vasari's lips, she knew exactly what she was talking about. But she doubted the Mandalorian would heed her words, even under the offer of safety and payment and so...
"Or... I can kill you both now, and give both of your warrior hearts the satisfaction of a good death, though it would honestly pain me to destroy something so beautiful..."
Vasari at last raised her saberstaff shifting her stance to a typical form III opening stance, leaving the dual blades disengaged for the time being, she looked into Ellie's eyes her face a mask of calm as she waited... waited for the pairs next move.
