The sudden touch startled her and in a second the spa had gone from feeling open and bright to close and humid. Adelle looked away as the redhead told her not to be shy, rubbing her leg where she'd been touched as if that would erase the mild discomfort. It wasn't so simple or neat as mere shyness. Adelle tucked a strand of stray hair behind her ear, brushing her sweeping bangs out of her face. When the redhead offered her hand, Adelle looked at it before slowly taking it in a firm grip. Honestly was this Sarah flirting or just very... open with others? There existed a way to find out.
"Adelle," she said, "but I'm guessing you knew." She leaned back against the wall, resting her arms along the headrests, as she shifted her weight to better regard her conversation partner for the foreseeable future. Her legs remained crossed but she had relaxed them somewhat. Her body language now fit the profile "open", as opposed to her more closed off posture before. It spoke of a confidence in herself she didn't quite feel but it didn't matter: she wasn't trying to charm anyone but trying to get a reaction and more information about this strange nurse.
"The, ah, scent you're referring to is often more trouble than its worth. So many drawbacks, so few advantages." Adelle gestured dismissively, closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the headrest, and listened for Sarah's motions. "It's really not worth the trouble it causes but there's not much I can do about genetics."

She grinned as Adelle seemed to relax a little, quite glad her rather forward nature had not scared the other woman off. There was something alluring about Adelle, as she tucked her hair back, before the pair shook hands, with Sarah returning her own hand beneath the water, reclining a little herself as she kept her focus upon Adelle, giving a short nod in response to her initial statment that Sarah already knew her name. Sarah shifted slightly, pressing her legs together slightly, as she rested her elbow on a small rest beneath the water, allowing herself a better vantage point from which her gaze could wander across her partner's body, the water only slightly obscuring her ability to do so. It was then, that she caught another wave of Adelle's aroma, gulping a little, as she found herself affected a little more than usual by such a scent, which she would not usually mind, considering that her usual activities involved feeding her almost insatiable desire for pleasure. But she held herself back, knowing that she would need to tread lightly Genetics can be fickle things, I have a few of my own that can more often than not get me into trouble... I imagine the whiskey would make it difficult to hide anywhere but in a bar... If i'm not mistaken though, that is fur isn't it? I don't mean to pry, just curious...

Adelle raised an eyebrow. "Trouble? You? No, I never would've guessed."
One of the wandering attendants knelt to offer refreshment and Adelle lifted a tall flute of a light Coruscanti wine from the tray. After a moment's hesitation, she gently grasped the base of another wine glass and offered it to Sarah. It might not be received well, since she knew quite a few people who didn't enjoy wine, but it was polite and she had the feeling that "No" wasn't exactly in Sarah's vocabulary. She took a sip, enjoying the crisp taste and the floral notes. The finish was sweet but with a little bit of a bite. Wine wasn't her forte, but Adelle made up her mind to find this vintage when next she had creds to spend. She about choked when Sarah mentioned her fur. Her cheeks flushed and she dropped her eyes to the pale gold liquid in her glass, suddenly fascinated.
"I—uh, it— well, yes," she stammered. "It's— My mom, uh, spliced her DNA with Caamasi genes and th-that was part of it I guess." Subject change. "Your genetics . . . Do they hinder you or mark you as different?"

Sarah chuckled at Adelle's sarcastic disbelief, certain her rather open nature about things had people already pegging her as a trouble maker. For the most part, it was a pretty true assumption, since she more often than not initiated things. Though, whether that decision was out of free will, or a compulsion entirely beyond her control, was never truly certain. As the wine glass was offered to her, Sarah smiled and accepted the glass, briefly brushing her hand against Adelle's as it grasped the base of the glass, before taking the glass. It was a brief contact, but quite an exciting one none-the-less. She tipped her glass to Adelle, before taking a sip of the wine herself, paying attention to the woman's reaction to her question about the fur. It was quite endearing to see her so flustered by such a simple question. But, at the very least, Adelle seemed to have an answer for the difference It's a nice difference, I like it... She took another sip of the wine, enjoying the flavour, as she leaned back in the seat, resting her head back against the rest as she put herself on full display for Adelle. She extended out her left leg beneath the water, as her right leg remained bent, remaining beneath the surface of the water Perhaps not outwardly different... But different all the same... And some can certainly be quite hindering... She paused for a moment, turning her head slightly to regard Adelle again. She could feel her urges whispering in her ear, tempting her to reach out and run her hand along Adelle's arm, to press her lips against the other woman's. She bit her lower lip, breathing sharply in as she did so Imagine trying to do an every day task, as your body starts off at a whisper... Thoughts briefly brushing against the surface of your mind... And then, it slowly begins to beg you... Thoughts and ideas beginning to breach the surface... And then it only gets louder, and louder... Your body beginning to become hotter, and hotter... Until you can stand it no longer, and are forced to your knees, and either find someone to satisfy your needs, or bring yourself to relief. And for a while, the voices are silenced, circling around the edges, waiting to begin again... She could already feel her heart rate increase, her breathing becoming slightly heavier as she explained, her tongue pressing against the inside of her lower teeth, the ring resting against the top of her teeth briefly. She swallowed deep, before taking another sip of her wine, trying to calm her nerves

Outward cues of Sarah's internal struggle became apparent as she explained her unique biological oddity, belying her nonchalant behavior: a sharp breath, a slight flush to her cheeks, quick and sly glances, tension in her jaw, a strained exhalation. Adelle thoughtfully tipped the wine glass, drinking as she maintained eye contact. Maybe it was the alcohol, or the five lonely years, or even Sarah's desire that she felt burning through the Force; whatever the case, she found herself wondering what a night with this woman was like. The redhead's scent became potent, sweet citrus and the tang of hard liquor more noticeable than the mild herbs in the bath. Adelle found it altogether not unpleasant.
"That must be quite the struggle," she said, rotating the glass stem with her fingers. Sarah, it seemed, had completely opened up her body to Adelle; while the minerals in the bath fogged the water slightly, there was nothing hidden. Adelle drained her glass, trying to process the situation in spite of the light buzz of alcohol and the heavy heat of Sarah's compulsions. "How do you manage? Does your spouse take the brunt of it? Or are you unattached and left to cope on your own?"

It really can be... Sarah drained the last of the wine, before setting the glass upon the side of the spa, as she held herself together just barely. It was then, that she noticed she'd sunk slightly deeper beneath the water. She kept her attention on Adelle, her mind already starting to run deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole as she wondered if her spa partner swung that way. Although Adelle had seemed a little put off by the touch, she had not exactly pulled away either, meaning that perhaps there was an opening Sadly I've no spouse to speak of... Sometimes I have to deal with it alone, and thankfully I have plenty of toys to help... But I find that the best relief.... Comes from finding another willing participant... She wanted so badly to resist, knowing that she might perhaps scare Adelle off if she was too forward, but just as her scent was becoming more potent, Sarah was beginning to lose herself in a combination of the wine and the scent of whiskey coming from the other woman. Her hand reached out of the water in that moment, cupping the side of Adelle's face, as she leaned over and their lips met in a sweet embrace that drew forth a muted sigh from Sarah. She then pulled back, as she managed to wrest some control of herself, her hand pulling back into the water as she held Adelle's gaze I'm... so sorry... I should have asked first... This was unusual for her to be sorry, but then, most of the people she had done such things with in the past, had given their prior consent. That, and she had always been mindful of the conditions unique to each of her play friends. And whilst she couldn't deny she wanted to lose control with Adelle, a part of her also didnt want to scare her off before she could get to know her. Regardless, she had made a move, and there was no taking it back, she just had to hope this was not going to adversely affect things

She felt the press of Sarah's lips and the heat of her skin before the woman had even moved. Adelle tried to move back, out of her reach, but her back was already up against the wall. Her ears burned as red as her cheeks as Sarah's wet hand pulled her in suddenly, water running in rivulets down her neck and along her jaw. Lemon, antiseptic, and alcohol flooded her nose, almost drowning out the taste of her lips. Adelle clenched her fists even as the nurse pulled away with an apology. It left her a little slack-jawed and nonplussed but it gave her an answer. However innocent Sarah may have wanted this encounter to be, her compulsions had betrayed her.
"Yes, well, asking would have been nice," she said with a tight smile. She smoothed her hands out under the water, glancing around the bath. A few patrons and attendants had noticed and either refused to make eye contact or took furtive glances and whispered to their friends. "So public an area probably isn't the best place for someone of your... compulsions."
An image of Sarah kissing her neck on rumpled sheets flashed through her mind, derailing further thought. Adelle's jaw tensed as a breeze hit the water on her neck and she snapped her eyes back to Sarah's from the water.
"People might get jealous," she said teasingly. She'd be lying if she said she didn't want them to be.

Alarm bells were still ringing as Steav Erwyn stood outside the laboratory, a smile on his face as a camera droid floated nearby. His staff were rushing about as several of them moved the male Rini into a cage, whilst others were coordinating with emergency services to get the couple fires that had been sparked under control. He knew this was the beginning of an exciting hunt, but not in the typical sense. For where others hunted to kill and take trophies, Steav was on the hunt to observe and possibly contain an escaped test subject. But first, he needed to ensure the proper security protocols were enacted to protect the public. He withdrew his comm link from one of his pockets and switched it to Rebecca's channel and depressed the activator button Hey Becs, it's Steav. We've got a Rini on the loose... I need your help keeping the people safe, and making sure we funnel it out of the city... He gave a nod, before releasing the button and returning the comm device to his pocket. It was his duty as project lead of the half dozen or so labs spread throughout Nystao, to ensure these measures were implemented. He had spent the last two to three decades studying them, observing them in artificial habitats. They were an interesting species, and every step of the way to their return had been recorded for posterity thanks to camera droids like the one filming him now. It was a long journey from where they had begun, to where they were now. It had all started on an expedition three decades ago, out in the wilds of Honoghr...
Steav was dressed in his usual cream coloured shirt and shorts, as he stepped out of the speeder. It was quite a hot day out in the desert, but it really didn't affect him all that much, having been raised in such arid climates. As he looked out over the dig site, which spanned several square kilometers, a pair of camera droids hovered about the place. It was not oft that he was free of their ever vigilant eyes, recording everything that went on. It wasn't that he planned for things to happen, nor expected them to, but life had a way of tossing unusual situations at Steav. Some of them were short moments, nothing of great importance, and ended up being mashed together for his weekly Galactic Geographic Honoghr show. But on rare occasions, he stumbled upon something rare, unique, exciting. Today was just one part in what he had a feeling would become quite an interesting series. Only months before hand, he had been conducting some research at the Rakatan Temple, when he had found an obscure reference to a race of beings that had been wiped out by the Rakatan's. Steav had very little information to go on, aside from that which he had found in that hidden chamber. But he had not been so easily dissuaded, as he began his research. All of which, had lead him to this area of desert. According to what he had learned, this was where the last of the Rini had perished. Bringing himself back to the present, he made his way across the dig site to begin his part of the work for the day.
It had not been long before they found the first fossils, with skeleton structures matching what was described. It had taken a couple weeks more, before they found several other fossils. It was the discovery of the century, to find the remains of a species long since extinct. But Steav had not stopped there, as samples were taken from the fossils. Due to a chance of fate, they were able to collect enough samples to sequence the Rini genome. It had been another couple years, and several thousand credits worth of research and development, before he had been granted permission to try and create a pair of Rini. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the team he assembled, Steav managed to bring back a pair of Rini from the brink of extinction. Though, whilst it was a monumental achievement, it wasn't for another several years before he was given what ever resources he needed to create several more. He had understood though, his backers had wanted to make sure there was no untoward side effects from the process, and that the subjects could live a relatively normal life span. Which, as far as Steav was concerned, was of no real issue, since as a Cinndao he was more than capabale of living for thousands of years.
Thus it was that he spent the proceding decades observing the Rini in a number of habitats, watching them grow. One of the conditions he had placed on his research, was that there would be minimal inteference by the research teams. They would introduce the Rini to modern age inventions and galactic basic, but for the most part, they would be allowed to grow up on their own. In this way, Steav hoped to see the Rini's natural instincts come to the forefront. He learned a lot about them over the years, though he was certain there was still much he had yet to discover about the species. He would have to interact with them at some point, but for now, he was content to merely observe.
Returning his thoughts back to the present, he turned to the camera. He could already imagine just some of the titles that this series would be about to get. But he could worry about that later, since his focus for now had to be capturing Rin safely, and not endagering anyone I gotta say, it was a real delight seeing the Rini's natural instincts in action. It seems that like a lot of species, the male Rini will sacrifice themselves to allow the female's to escape. This obviously presents some concerns safety wise, since the Rini have not had much interaction with other species. So, whilst Rebecca marshals the local police to ensure public safety, I'm going Rini Hunting, because we need to make sure she's not hurt, and hopefully calm her down, otherwise she could injure herself and others...

"People might get jealous," she said teasingly. She'd be lying if she said she didn't want them to be. Sarah had almost been about to apologise further, when Adelle made her comment about people being jealous. A devilish grin then crossed her lips, as she met Adelle's gaze. Well it appeared things had merely escalated thanks to her actions, not that it was exactly how Sarah had planned. But this was where they were at, so might as well make the most of it, she thought to herself as she leaned forward, supporting herself on the seat beneath the water, pressing her arms together to further put herself on display as she leaned close to AdelleLet them be jealous... Though, if you are so concerned about my compulsions in public, perhaps you had better help me back to my place, or yours, if you prefer... Assuming that was you giving your permission...She purred that last part as she gave the other woman a wink. Let them get jealous, if they so chose to. Sarah was just glad she hadn't come on a little too fast for Adelle. With her comments being all the incentive Sarah needed to hear, to regain her confidence in the matter. It seemed she wasn't the only one curious to spend the night with the other, which made things all the more enticing for her

Sarah leaned forward and Adelle leaned back. Just because she was interested didn't mean she was going to be nearly so easy. As the nurse not so slyly suggested a night of shenanigans, Adelle raised her eyebrows and smirked. She placed her arms out on either side of the wall, lounging in the hot water. A nice evening breeze drifted through the spa, bringing welcome relief from the humid air.
"Not so much permission as ... interest," she said. "Five years is a long time to be alone." She decided to play it somewhat coy and smiled crookedly at Sarah. "Besides, usually there's talk of dinner or drinks beforehand."

Panic! Fear! Food! Panic!
For the most part, it was panic for Rini Takashi, known simply as Rin. It was nearly overwhelming at first, because in every direction, including up and down, she only saw, smelt, felt, heard and even tasted danger. Threats, everywhere! How did she even let herself get this exposed? Her mate, he was with her but a short while ago. She was going to drag him out with her, but his movements were slowing down, as he had been hit by something, and it was difficult to perceive what it was due to the extreme brightness that the Great One and others like him seemed to prefer for visual effectiveness. Like her mate, she spent most of her time squinting or just moving around with her eyes closed. But as she felt him stumbling while they followed their senses which led them to the outside, he urged her on, projecting an image of herself running alone. The image flashed insistently in her mind and she realized he was not brooking any arguments from her. At last, he collapsed, unable to continue on.
The seed of life was growing within her, and it was what was directing her thoughts and actions as of now.
She was moving, faster than she'd ever moved in her entire life. Desperation and fear lent her wings as she ran on the ground, but as she sensed movement and people through the vibrations, their sounds and their scents, it was like a bombardment of sensations that painted in her mind the exact image and location of every individual that was in her way, and she adjusted accordingly so that none of them had the slightest chance of even slowing her down in the least. She gripped the walls, digging extremely strong fingers and nails into material or finding gripping points most people would overlook or fail to notice, and ran on all fours, sometimes going up to the ceiling, down to the opposite wall, and the ground again, all the way moving at the same speed as she would while running.
She could feel the friction of the air itself as she raced along unfamiliar corridors, seeking escape. She knew it would be terrible, and worse, before it got better. Without her mate, she didn't know what she was doing. She only knew she needed a instinctual familiarity with the underground. Something she couldn't have in the home of the Great One. To provide a safe home for the children. Her children. She had no voice, no spoken language, and she could not convey this to the Watchers, servants of the Great One, whom Rin and her mate had often seen, or sensed. They seemed aloof, and tried not to spend too much time with the naturally curious pair of Rini. They learnt the language of the Watchers, and the Great One, who spoke the same language, but in a different manner. Speech was so foreign to the Rini, that they had a hard time understanding them, until they revealed that they could communicate by means of projecting images directly into the minds of the Watchers and the Great One. The latter seemed pleased by this, and could fathom their method of communication easily, which was why he was the Great One.
Eventually, the Rini and the Watchers fell into a state of acceptance. Rin and her mate would communicate to the Watchers by projecting imagery, and the Watchers would respond by speaking in what they called Galactic Basic. They showed the Rini incredible things. Objects of immense power that often intimidated them. They knew that the Watchers and their master, the Great One, could be terrifying if they wanted to be. Rin and her mate had very simple needs, but whenever they showed a warren, and underground, a nice moist construction with minimal to no light, it might have been misinterpreted, because the Watchers kept brightening their dwelling, until it hurt to even open their eyes, but they'd always kept their eyes closed for the most part since they were better with their other senses anyhow. It wasn't until recently that the Great One had learnt that their eyes were adjusted for nocturnal behaviour, but by then, Rin had begun exhibiting extreme agitation, and kept kicking at anything that was holding her in her dwelling.
This was the early stage of pregnancy for the Rini, when the expectant mother became extremely paranoid and wary of everything, sometimes even of her mate, unless both are in danger, then she would follow his lead...with caution.
After she had participated in discreet copulation, feeling embarrassed that the Watchers might be...watching, some days later, Rin began to panic at how exposed to the surface she was, and began violently attacking anything that wasn't her mate, but even he could not approach her while she was in this state, as she would bite her lips and slash at the ground in front of her, daring anything to try crossing the crudely made line. Her bleeding lips would serve to agitate her further, making her inconsolable, until, after some furtive projections between one another, her mate enacted a bold plan. They knew that there was more than just this place that they'd been living in for years, but as they were kept in relative comfort, save for the lights, they felt no need to try fleeing their dwelling...until now.
As she continued on her quest for an escape, she noticed a room in darkness, and it was small, she darted into it, pulling the door shut behind her.
For the first time in a long while, she opened her eyes, it was like the place was lit in bright sunlight for her, and she recognized the equipment used by a Janitor Watcher. He had never spoken to her or her mate, but they had seen him on occasion, during the times when the lights were low enough for them to open their eyes. Was he like them? Why were his belongings here? And why were they kept in suitable conditions for a Rini? Then a scent tickled her nose, and her eyes widened. The Janitor had been in contact with someone or something that had the same scent of a Rini, like her or her mate, but different. There were others? They'd never really thought to ask before, but now Rin was curious.
DANGER! PANIC! DANGER!
She heard them coming! She could smell them, feel them as they sent subtle vibrations with every step. They were close...too close! She was in her environment now, though, so she would turn and fight. No one was going to get to her children.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
The urge translated into fury, and she emitted one of the few noises a Rini would make, a kind of squeaky growling sound, that sounded like rapid chittering.
They opened the door and she rolled on her bottom, kicking out with both feet, hitting the Watcher directly in the midsection. He was the only one that had approached, but the others were hanging back. She didn't wait, and leapt for the nearest one, clambering over her very quickly, and leaping from her back, into the ceiling, clawed her way across for a moment, down the wall, and on to the floor, and away. She saw moving walls...no, they were called doors! She went for it and raked at it with her claws.
Her hand sailed through empty air. The door had opened for her.
She raced through it, and did not pause to think. RUN! KEEP RUNNING!
FOOD!
There was distracting scents of edible vegetation and fruits. WATCHERS! So many Watchers! They were everywhere. Most were surprised, some even afraid. Why were they afraid? If there was something that frightened them, it would be downright terrifying to her! She had to move, had to protect her children. If even the Watchers could not handle it, how could she? The Great One! What would he do? Where was the Great One? No time. RUN! FOOD! RUN!
She was distracted. The collection of food was impressive, and she needed sustenance. Her hand swiped out and she caught a palm-sized fruit that she ate as she ran along. A Watcher shouted in protest at her action, and this confused her, but she did not stop. Several Watchers were starting to turn their attentions on her now, however. She could feel their intent as if they were projecting their thoughts into her head, but that was not possible. She stopped running, and sank to her knees. The Watchers ruled the surface. Her domain lay beneath their feet. She could feel the call of the underground reaching into her mind like a deafening roar. She was fast, but she would tire if she were not allowed to pause, rest, and eat. Plus, she could not see because of the daylight. Her eyes were clenched shut tightly, but she could still feel the movements on the ground. Hear things. She suddenly clapped her hands over her ears and opened her mouth, and she let out a glass-shattering shriek for a few seconds, then struck the ground with her hands.
She tore through rock, gravel, and eventually, soil. After she was twenty feet in the ground, she turned and kicked desperately, creating a barrier behind her. And she tunnelled another thirty feet, and created a barrier. She continued to do this, tunnelling a short distance, then kicking down the tunnel behind her to prevent pursuit. In the darkness she could open her eyes and look around, though at this point she was relying more on the hair on her head to feel the ground and sense the easier parts of the ground to tunnel. The Watchers and their structures often sunk roots into the ground, like plants and trees, but they were foreign and seemed to her as injuries inflicted on the ground. She avoided these artificial roots and began burrowing further away from them, hopefully further away from Watchers, and unfortunately, the Great One. There was little that she could do about that.
Nothing mattered to her but the safety of her children.

She was almost a little relieved when Adelle did not almost immediately surrender. It would have been almost too easy, and her interest in the woman quite lost. And although her urges wanted to be satisfied, she was able to muster enough self control thanks to the kiss, to reign herself in a little. She slowly pulled herself back and reclined into the seat again, extracting one of her hands from the water and running her fingers across the top of Adelle's hand located closest to her. She winked back in response to Adelle's comment about dinner or drinks first Five years is certainly a long time to be alone... I know I certainly could not manage such a feat... The fact of the matter was, she struggled to last a day alone. Five years would be like torture for her, even if she was attending to her needs by herself. As she mentioned before, it was far more fun and satisfying with another to aide in such escapades. And Adelle certainly seemed like someone who would be a whole lot of fun once in private Dinner and drinks are certainly on offer tonight, if you are interested. My treat of course. It's not often I have met someone worth such attention, but I am glad to oblige, if you think you can handle it...

Panic had started to spread through the city as Rin made her escape, the general populace unaware of the experiment that had been going on right beneath their noses. But thankfully the local police were readily on hand to calm the public and get any that were in immediate danger out of harm's way. Promises of recompense were already being made to those who suffered damages. Meanwhile, Steav continued his pursuit of Rin through the city. But whilst he was concerned for the safety of the local populace, he couldn't contain his excitement Would you look at that... She is a beauty. You can see... her flight reflex... is so great... That she aint even stopping.... to grab food... She's swiping it.... with ease... on the fly... GET OUT OF HER WAY!! Steav also clapped his hands over his ears as Rin did, stopping in place as she shrieked. And sure enough, the glass for a good distance around shattered, whilst leaving on lookers stunned. Even Steav felt a little disoriented despite having taken a precaution. Then, like that, Rin was gone - tunnelling her way beneath the surface. Steav and the camera got to the hole just as it caved in, preventing him from following. He doubled over a little, bracing himself against his knee's as he caught his breath Fast little critter she is... At the very least, she is below ground now. Meaning that for now, the danger to the city has passed. But how exciting! Despite the somewhat confined conditions of the lab, She was still able to get up to her maximum sprint! And those claws! Steav then turned towards the camera, as he straightened up a little, raising his left hand in a claw motion. Meanwhile his right hand moved in the air about it Whilst the Rini appear to be humanoid in appearance, their slaws are cabale of digging through just about any material. If I'm not careful, and she is to ever turn one of those claws on me, she could tear my head off like that! Steav then make a clicking motion with his fingers to emphasise his point. Thankfully they had built the lab out of extremely strong materials that the Rini had been unable to dig through But the hunt isn't over. Whilst the danger to the public is past, we need to check on her condition. We need to go back and collect the Rover. We'll have the gear needed to perform some first aide and check on her and the babies status... Come on! Steav gave a hand wave to the camera droid, before heading back to the lab. He had a plan, and to enact it, he first needed to check on the condition of Rin. Thankfully the Rover had already been prepared for him by the time he got back to the lab. He hopped in, before he started up the repulsor craft's engine and took off out of the city, the camera following close in tow. Thankfully, it was coming into evening, meaning it would be dark enough for what he planned

She winked back in response to Adelle's comment about dinner or drinks firstFive years is certainly a long time to be alone... I know I certainly could not manage such a feat...The fact of the matter was, she struggled to last a day alone. Five years would be like torture for her, even if she was attending to her needs by herself. As she mentioned before, it was far more fun and satisfying with another to aide in such escapades. And Adelle certainly seemed like someone who would be a whole lot of fun once in privateDinner and drinks are certainly on offer tonight, if you are interested. My treat of course. It's not often I have met someone worth such attention, but I am glad to oblige, if you think you can handle it... "Someone worth such— I think you have me confused with someone else," Adelle said jokingly. "Someone important." It genuinely surprised her that Sarah was that sincere—or desperate—as to immediately offer dinner and drinks. Not that Adelle wasn't grateful, just undeserving. She couldn't tell Sarah no either; refusing a free gift might as well be a slap in the face for some people. Still, it wasn't like Adelle needed to rely on charity or gifts. Did she deserve to be wined and dined, romanced even? She stared at the rippling reflections in the bath, noting the golden patches of light filtering through the fortified water.
This trip was all about her health. Managing stress. What could be a better way to let off steam? Adelle glanced sidelong at Sarah, crooked smile still in place."If that's your idea of flattery, well . . . I won't lie, flattery will get you somewhere. But you should up your game," she teased. The next words slipped out unbidden but familiar in a strange sense. "Impress me."

Mazikeen, or ‘Maze’ as Samael would call her – though she only gave him the okay to call her that, because she despised it when others did, usually wasn’t much of a talker, at least not to a lot of people, she preferred to focus on doing things. Which was her intentions currently, after that private communication from Samael, her teeth gritted and she looked at the man she had been carrying with despise, and even unintentionally made him hit his head at the wall’s edges, although yes, it was very much on purpose, not that that man currently sitting, sleeping, on the passenger’s seat of Samael’s speeder would recollect.
Not after she was going to be done with him. And she had the perfect plan. One that wouldn’t entail any forms of dismembering of any sorts… Though it was tempting, but no, humiliation would work better for Detective Dewe Douche.
Inconspicuously pulling over and lifting his body after making sure that the coast was clear, Maze proceeded with her plan, and that plan was just to deposit this so-called Detective at his superior’s place. Bypassing expertly all forms of security, and not leaving a trace of her presence whatsoever, Maze finally gained access to that apartment and just dumped Douche onto his boss’ bed, after she stripped him fully. Looking at his unimpressive figure, Maze made a disgusted face at an area before shaking her head and picking up a lipstick next to the vanity mirror and just wrote ’Adoring Fan’ on Douche’s forehead before proceeding at a mind rub of any involvement from any one he saw at RDMC, and just making him remember that he was the one who wanted to be here, and he was wanting to surprise his boss, for whatever reasons because he knew that Lieke wasn’t the right person for him, but the Captain was…
Maze’s deed done, she dropped the lipstick on his chest and looked at his entire figure completely unimpressed again by what he was packing, and with that, gathering his clothes, Maze left discreetly again and knew that the man wouldn’t be up for a while. Making sure that the coast was clear, she just casually acted and just dumped Douche’s clothes into the trash compactor of the building before returning to her duties; which was to keep both eyes on Samael…

The Nystao City Police Department, or NCPD as many knew it as, was the civilian law enforcement agency arm of the Honoghr Defence Force. It consisted of a group of highly skilled and professionally trained investigators split into a number of departments and jurisdictional authority. Homicide, Narcotics, Cyber Crimes, Cold Cases, Forensics. These were just some of the areas that the team of investigators specialised in. In charge of this highly regarded police force, was Captain Hailey Carter. Both feared and respected by her officers, she was a woman of true authority. Never before had the NCPD seen someone of her kind, and they would be hard pressed to find anyone like her the day she left.
Hailey had been working a double shift due to the escape of an experiment from one of Doctor Erwyn's labs. A great deal of public property damage had been done, and several citizens had been injured or frightened by the events that had gone down. Thankfully though, they had managed to avoid any serious catastrophe. So, with the situation having been taken outside of the city and EMTs on the site attending to the couple injuries, Hailey had decided to head home. There was still a mountain of paperwork to fill out and reports to double check, but she knew it would do her no good trying to finish it in her current state. She was tired and needed some relaxation. Something she was quickly about to find out was not going to happen any time soon as she arrived back to her apartment.
It was a fairly simple apartment. There was a small entrance way, with a door immediately to the right leading into a fully equipped kitchen. Straight ahead was a combined Lounge/Dining Room open plan area. A doorway on the left lead into the main bedroom, which had two smaller rooms connected to that, which contained a fully equipped laundry and bathroom. A sliding room in the Lounge lead out onto the balcony.
Hailey turned on the lights as she entered the small entryway, before kicking off her shoes and leaving them by the door. She glanced toward the kitchen then, before deciding against food just yet. She slipped her jacket off and held it aloof as she passed through her apartment and into her bedroom. She turned on the light, and was about to toss her jacket onto her bed, when she was greeted by the sight of a naked male form upon her bed. The words 'adoring fan' scribbled across his forehead in what looked like one of her lipsticks. Well, she certainly wasn't going to be wearing that shade ever again What in the devils name... Detective Douche, is that you? Hailey had seen a great many things in her life, and so seeing a man laying naked in her bed did not phase her. Instead it merely sparked her curiosity, as she examined him. It didn't take her long to recognise the face of one of her detectives, before her gaze drifted across his form briefly. She met his gaze then, as he suddenly shook his head and slowly opened his eyes. As soon as he saw her, his eyes widened Boss! Surprise!
Yes, you could say this is quite the surprise. Care to explain yourself?
I uhh... Well... I was doing something... and well, I wanted to give you a bit of a surprise when you got back... and yeah... I can't really remember how I got here...
You thought it was a good idea to surprise your boss, by getting naked and jumping onto her bed? and writing adoring fan on your forehead?
I... what?! She had to hide a smirk as he jumped from the bed and rushed over to the mirror to look at himself in it. His reaction was enough to tell her that he was not here of his own accord. She walked over to the closet then, and pulled out a towel and passed it to him, allowing him to cover up Your mother was a good family friend, and a lovely old lady. She asked me to look out for you, and as a nice person, I obliged that request. I've done a lot to respect her dying wish, but if she could see you now, she would turn in her grave... You're to report to the precinct early tomorrow morning, so that I can ask one of the Masters from the Conclave to... fix what ever they can... Understood?
Yes captain!
Run along... go! Dewe gave a quick salute, before grabbing a hold of the towel as he rushed out of Hailey's apartment. Meanwhile, she shook her head, and grabbed her datapad. She first sent off a request to the Honoghr Conclave to have a Master come out to deal with Dewe's condition as best they could. The second she sent to Wilhelm, to have a meeting with him. If anyone was behind mischief with Dewe, it was going to be the good Doctor

She wrote her comm link number on a piece of film then, before handing it to Adelle. With a means of contact organised, Sarah took her leave of Adelle, leaving her to her relaxation.
As the evening settled in over Nystao, a PL-90 Luxury Speeder arrived out the front of Adelle's residence in the city. Sarah stepped out of the Speeder clad in a little purple number with black heels, her hair decidedly more free than earlier in the day. Sarah pulled out her comm link then, and typed a short message to Adelle, letting her know that she had arrived and was waiting out front. This was but the start of the evenings activities, she still had much and more up her sleeve

The ground was like a vast network of information, audio and physical. Rin could detect the presence of the Watchers. The Great One! He was nearby!
Her breathing turned rapid and excited. By Watcher standards, her pulse and respiration would be akin to someone having a panic attack or cardiac arrest or hyperventilation. But Rin had no such health defect. She wasn't like the Watchers. And they were still watching. Perhaps it was paranoia. Perhaps her instincts were true. But she wasn't going to take the chance, and she dug further, lower, until the sensations and the presence of the Watchers were little more than a distant buzz to her. Eventually, even with hands like hers, they began to cramp and protest over so much usage. Foolish, foolish little Rini! She had been living in luxury and comfort for too long! Watchers standards had softened her too much to be able to progress with the kind of effort she should be able to.
She was tired, and hungry. She was eating for...many. The Rini would live on. She carried on the legacy of her people. The memories of lives past...no...that wasn't right. What past lives?
She jerked as images flashed into her mind, not of her own choosing. Was there another Rini? It would be terrible if she met another female Rini who was also anticipating birth. She knew how unbearable she was during this time, and if she met another, common sense would have little place between the two mothers. One would remain alive to continue. But no, it was images, of herself. Almost like a memory. Such fear. Such terror!
PANIC! She started digging again, frantically. They tore her out of her Burrow. They tormented the Rini. They were like the Watchers, but different. Malevolent. Cruel. MONSTERS!
The Rini began to fight back. Rin had joined her kin. She was angry. She had been hurt. A hand lost, an eye. Her hair had been cut. That hurt the most. She mourned her mate's passing...but he's alive! No! He died! She died! NO! She was alive! NO! Rin started making a soft whimpering sound, and she realized she was crying. It didn't make sense. Why was she seeing such a conflict in the mind. Was this part of childbirth? It could not be. It did not help or contribute in any manner. It only upset her. She remembered a different life. One that had no Watcher dwellings. Open skies, in the beautiful nights, when Rini would romp on the surface, wary of predators. They played and searched for food in the night, under the moon. But it all fell apart. They had just begun their lives. She knew, because ancestors were not something she fully understood. They were too young a people for that just yet.
And they had been all wiped out in very short order.
Now she was reborn, somehow. She was Rin then, and Rin now. Somehow, she cheated death. She lived once more, and had a chance to start the Rini again.
But she couldn't bear the thought of doing this alone. She would return for her mate. She had to! She needed him. And if she could detect the scent of others, perhaps she and her mate were not alone. There could be other mothers. She couldn't chance that until they delivered their litters. And after the cubs were weaned. Only then would she approach those. But her own mate. Yes, she would find him.
Always.
Her stomach rumbled. She wanted to retch, but hunger demanded she feed. She had found tubers. She preferred a plant that grew nearer the surface, but these would do for now. Nibbling on them, she found that they were good. There was something strange on one of them. A metallic device with a blinking red light. It looked like something that Watchers used for monitoring her and her mate back in their old dwelling. What was that doing so deep underground? She sensed movement through her hair, and whipped around, food still clutched in her mouth. A tiny, circular metallic object was burrowing away from her. This was her domain! A THREAT! TO HER CHILDREN!
She growled a warning. When it did not heed, she tore rents of earth. It was something of the Watchers! She projected her thoughts at it. Images of her mate. She was demanding to be told where he was. But the device didn't seem to comprehend. It made her angry. Was she to have no peace? Raising a claw, she swiped the device once, slashing it in half. More of the strange little objects with the blinking red lights fell out of the cavity she left. This was bad. The Watchers dwelled this low too?
She dug, until her arms gave out. Exhaustion claimed her, but she'd made a suitable burrow with a place to hoard, a resting place, and playrooms. She would not risk surfacing for the time being.

Adelle walked out of the rented flat wearing her usual attire: a drab tactical shirt, cargo pants, and the green sash she wore around her waist. When she saw the speeder, she stopped dead in her tracks."Well kriff," she said under her breath. Sarah herself was dressed in a glamorous cocktail dress more appropriate for a Coruscanti soiree than an impromptu date. Adelle rubbed the back of her neck as she approached Sarah."I'm afraid I'm underdressed," she said.

Sarah had been unsure if Adelle owned any dresses or clothing of a fancy standard. Her guess had been right, as Adelle appeared in what appeared to be some work attire. She walked up and took Adelle's hands in her own, still smiling. She was not the least bit phased by this situation Oh, I'm quite certain I'm overdressed. But we wear what we feel comfortable in. If you want, we can go shopping first? But what you're wearing is fine with me if you're happy. The choice is entirely yours.
