She couldn't help but smile as the Jedi so clearly blundered his first words in his interaction with the Gatekeeper. She was not going to bother correcting him, nor did she have anything else worth contributing to the .. conversation. If it could even be called that. The holographic Dug slowly turned his head to acknowledge the Jedi, his elongated face sneering from underneath the cowled robes. "I am a piece of the puzzle. You have not even found one. Who are you?" Sakri's smile widened ever so slightly. So the Gatekeeper was going to continue to humour him..

*And the hologram was already being snippy with him. He rolled his eyes, answering simply,* "Name's Joey." *His hand was still on his chest; he lowered it and place both his hands on his hips in a somewhat-impatient manner.* "And you know what I meant. What's this 'puzzle'? How long you been hiding in the dirt anyway?"

It is the puzzle of life. Its end, its beginning. You, Joey, have not even scratched the surface. A small chuckle escaped the Firrerreo. Granted, the Gatekeeper was not helping her position, but it was amusing to watch the Jedi -- "Joey" -- seek an answer and find none. She did sincerely hope the man could be persuaded to let her leave without incident. She had no need for pointless delay and conflict..

*Joey almost stumbled back at the hologram's words, words that he quite frankly took as an insult. For the quickest of moments his mouth opened but immediately shut, twisting into a frown. He ignored the chuckle from the woman and managed not to go off on the hologram, instead stating through near-grit teeth,* "You didn't answer how long you've been a stick in the mud— I mean stuck in the mud."

Another chuckle escaped her, though at the expense of her own cause. The Gatekeeper was clearly not making anything better for anyone involved here, but still she could not help but find amusement in the Jedi's quite obvious irritation. And you have not answered what it is that you seek. Apparently, the Gatekeeper had decided that they were both going to be held accountable for the questions it asked. Communication is a two-way road, Joey. An answer for an answer.

*Joey scowled. Either this Dug was toying with him or was truly ignorant. Groaning, Joey replied,* "All I 'seek' is the history of this holocron here! What kinds of secrets you hold! Either I'm gonna let this chick go or I'm gonna have to confiscate you."

There was a long pause before the Gatekeeper spoke again. Perhaps it was weighing its options, perhaps it was simply drawing out time to test Joey's patience. This holocron holds the secrets of a powerful being whose name has been forgotten by time. The secrets it holds are vast. "I seek life."It seemed that the woman had finally seen fit to step in. At the intrusion, the Dug turned its holographic head to look at her.. but a few seconds later, its attention had returned to the poorly outfitted Jedi. The puzzle of life is infinite. I teach how to take the finite pieces and stretch them into forever. You have known pain, Joey, but you are not ready to learn what I know. It took a single step backwards, then settled its gaze upon Sakri once more. And on that note, the hologram vanished. The lights on the holocron faded, and the two beings were once more alone in the pit. For a single second, Sakri remained staring where the Dug had stood; but then the moment was over, and she had turned her focus towards Joey. "I wish only to live."She hoped it would be enough of an answer. She doubted it would be.

*"Name has been forgotten to time"? Well that sounded like garbage; obviously this Dug would know who built the holocron! And obviously the secrets were vast! This "answer" felt more like a non-answer, and Joey wasn't exactly pleased. Not that he had a chance to speak, because suddenly the woman interjected; he'd almost forgotten she had a voice.
This, however, had the strange effect of getting a more specific answer out of the Dug, hinting at the ability to extend or at least manipulate life, but claimed that Joey was "not yet ready" to learn what the holocron possessed.
The answer angered him in more ways that one, but it simply disappeared, leaving the woman to state that she wished "only to live." He scowled and looked at the holocron again, at the source of the whole situation, of all his negative emotion. It figured all of this would be thrust on him at the worst possible time, but also that the subject would involve "life."*
"Yeah, there's a lot of people I wish lived," *he spat at last.* "And some I wish hadn't." *He looked up at her, barely able to hold back his anger.* "At what cost, though? Whose life would you take? Or ruin? Sith do things the selfish way, after all." *He folded his arms across his bare chest, looking unimpressed and, most of all, impatient.*

"I am no Sith. I have neither desire nor need to take or ruin lives."
She wasn't lying. Sakri had never learned nor been altogether too interested in learning the ways of the Sith, nor was she one to take lives with any sort of satisfaction. There was no glory in ending a life early; in fact, she usually went out of her way to avoid it.
"My condolences for your losses."
It was an oddly sincere statement, given the current situation, but she did mean it.
Any more questions?

*Not a Sith? Shocking, and Joey almost doubted it. He eyed her suspiciously, even as she claimed she had no desire to claim lives, and even offered condolences for Joey's losses. Her voice and countenance seemed sincere, but Joey wasn't sure he believed it still. He remained in skeptic silence for a moment before replying,* "Thanks, but what would you want with a Sith holocron if you're not Sith?"

Apparently so.
"Sith test their limits more than Jedi. Their practice yields.. different results."
She pulled her arm in, bringing the Holocron close to her chest. A quiet sigh escaped her once more as she wondered what exactly would convince this man to let her be on her way..

The half-false statement only made Joey scoff.* "You're right about 'different results,' but you're kidding yourself if you think Jedi don't test their limits. Mine sure as hell have been lately." *He brought his hand to his chin, looking her over, still attempting to divine the right answer to all this. It should have been anyone besides him, handling this. At length, he only asked,* "You got a name?" *If nothing else, it was a potential way to keep track of her, should this go awry in the future.*

"My name is my own."
The response was almost immediate and clearly very practiced.
"What you may call me is Sakri."
Her particular hesitance to engage in conversation aside, Firrerreo were not known for giving their names to total strangers. She didn't expect him to know or even care about that, though. Most people didn't.

*Joey scowled and fought a groan; so she was going to be this difficult still, eh? Well he would just— "Sakri"? She wouldn't give her name, but something else to call her? Well, whatever it was, he repeated it to himself mentally a few times, committing it to memory, as he debated the next step. After a moment, he frowned and sighed.* "Fine then. Go. But I hear about any antics about a Sith holocron, I'm gonna come looking."

"Then I will leave you to your grief."
She regarded him silently for another few seconds before moving, walking forward to pass right by him. As she passed him, she spoke again.
"We will not meet again."
Sakri had no intention of causing any "antics" with her holocron. As far as she was aware, the knowledge contained within would not bring her into the limelight nor infamy, and she had no reason to draw needless attention to herself. She continued to the wall of the pit, reclining her head to look up at the top, her mind stretching into the Force for one last appraisal of the man who had questioned her.
Jedi were such curious folk, she had found. A small smirk tugged at her lips as she prepared for the next step of her journey.
The currents of the Force bent and swirled around her, wrapping her in their embrace as she crouched..
..and launched up toward the surface, her cloak (and hair) fluttering behind her as she rose.

The ambient glow of Satish's tattoos and eyes became a ghostly white as he walked through the Rancor Graveyard. The area was filled with the spirits of those who had come and gone. The whole world was alive with them. Where most planets had only the faint voices of their elemental spirits, Felucia's were alive and loud. So much so, that the dead still lingered here amongst their friends. And even though there was great pain from moments throughout history, it was small and contained. Its corrupting influence contained by the purity of the world. It was a paradise for the spirits. Few worlds in the galaxy were like it. Dathomir, Kro Var, and Kashyyyk were some of the few other worlds that Satish had been to that the connection was so strong.
As he made his way deeper into the graveyard, he could feel the nearby Rancors watching him. He was a stranger to this world, and they were undoubtedly trying to decide if he was a threat or not. He came to a stop amid a clearing of Rancor bones. He sat down on the ground, crossing his legs. Rancors were dangerous creatures when provoked, but they could also be tamed. The Witches of Dathomir had proven as much. He just needed to prove he could be trusted, after all, he had no intent to harm them, only learn about them and the people of Felucia

* The smell of decay whipped through the air as black clouds rolled in with thunder following them. Lightning cracked it's lanky fingers across the sky as the storm intensified to a specific location within the graveyard. A darkness began to swell upon the ground around a forgotten grave left unmarked, meant to be lost forever to the sands of time. But this evil had other intentions. A hard strike of lightning licked this place, one after another burning white hot at first. As the ground trembled, they turned crimson red and the very earth parted revealing an old enemy known by few but those who did would truly dread such an occurrence. A body laid deadly still among the dirt, its flesh reanimated by the power of the dark side.
The body finally rose as the storm seemed to dissipate into this abomination. What appeared to be a man, wrapped in a pitch black hooded cloak stood taking breath for the first time in decades. His eyes opened and piercingly crimson red eyes scanned the familiar area and a wicked grin wretched its way across his lips.*
I know this place.... My dark serenity still holds sway....
The memories are still sweet upon my tongue.... And that Jedi.... I long to taste that one once more....
There will be no rest, no calm before the storm, no hope for those foolish enough to stand in our way....
We must find him
* With a dark purpose guiding by evil not felt before in some time, the man ventured forth. With every step, his confidence was more sturdy and his aim was deadly at the ones who delayed the inevitable. The black aura around him chilled the air for those unfortunate enough to brave being close enough to sense such a thing. His strength was returning gradually but blood was required as it was gripped in his mind. May the Force help us....*
