Ali's polite smile faltered noticeably as Mirian's eyes gazed passed her. She glanced over her shoulder, hoping to find whatever it was that had distracted the woman from their conversation, but found nothing. This is bound to be interesting, Ali told herself. She glanced down at the small hand that clasped her own, swinging gently from side to side. The Leftenant could feel Mirian's hand trembling, and assumed it was just nerves. Ali had to pull her hand away with a slight amount of force, Mirian's mind was obviously preoccupied. Ali's lips pursed slightly, wondering if the woman were overly nervous about the coming operation. She didn't mention it, however, in the presence of the others, which might embarrass Mirian. Ali didn't know her well enough to presume either way."Yes...and all that." Ali repeated Mirian's last words, the woman truly was scatter-brained, it seemed. She couldn't blame Mirian either, her first real taste of combat had led her to some rather dark places. Hopefully Mirian would escape unscathed, in body as well as in mind. "We'll be moving here shortly. I'd like for you to accompany me. I'll be riding with my platoon in that walker over there." Ali pointed to the vehicle, its engines rumbling gently. "If for whatever reason we have casualties to treat, you'll be accompanied by a pair of commandos, to provide you and your patients with proper security." Ali reestablished her smile, hoping the news had helped calm Mirian's nerves. "Cool!" Mirian obviously hadn't been around long enough, and still fluctuated between a Corellian and Coruscanti accent frequently. At the moment, she seemed to have more Corellian. She jerked her head very quickly to look over at the vehicle that Ali pointed at, since the leftenant wanted her to follow. She hefted all her gear, of which there was a lot, but really, wasn't that just the bare minimum? It's not like she was overprepared or anything. She only brought everything except a kitchen sink, though there might be one in one of her backpack pockets. She grinned at Ali and nodded, ready to follow.

*Crystaall followed the group, disappointed in Tag's explanation, but understood completely. She was a bit reckless to jump the gun, but she meant well. She would make sure this mission succeeded with only her death if need be. Of course Tag wasn't willing to give her that glory. Her Zabrakian heritage insisted she had an honorable death, but she suppossed she could wait for a much better cause than average Sith captives. Once they saw the loads of guards and Ellie was sure they were close, Crystaall couldn't think of anyway past them without detection. She had no idea how strong in the Force these people were, and she couldn't stun or defeat them all at once. She guessed Tag had a plan for this situation.*

Several fresh icons blinked into existence as red inverted triangles on Tag's HUD as Ellie finished her report, the scenario already playing out in his mind. There were more targets than they had rifles in one team alone. Tag crouched in the shadows and spoke to Hoover on the team's single comchannel. Hoover, we've got nine hostiles in an adjacent courtyard, do you have them on screen? Hoover replied swiftly. Yes. We're approaching the courtyard along the North wall right now. Tag waited a moment until Able Team's icons had settled into position opposite their own. How many of them do you have clear El-Oh-Es on? He asked. Six. The two on the wall, the pair in the open center, and two more sitting down on a bench in the far corner of the yard. The one at the door is blocked by a pillar and the rest in the yard obstructed by crates, but we can maneuver to cover them if you want. Tag rejected the suggestion. No, you're good where you're at. We're going for a co-op shot. Tag addressed the rest of the group. Ellie, Zimmy, take up positions behind those columns. Tag marked the locations on the community HUD. There were five such pillars running the length of the wall that separated the larger plaza from the smaller one. The first column was almost straight ahead, through the stonework archway that led to the smaller yard. The second pillar was beside the first, further along the medial wall. Those positions would give Zimmy and Ellie clear shots at the Sith patrolling on high. The night shadows bathed the walkway around the square in darkness, and would give Ellie and Zimmy ample concealment as they moved into position. Ellie, Zimmy, you have the two on the wall. Hoover, get a man each on the two in the center yard, and two more to cover the pair at the bench. You push along the wall towards me and pick up the slack in the line. Hoover confirmed his orders with a double-click of his comm as Tag turned his attention to the two remaining members of his team, Reader and Crystaall. He had ten assets and nine targets, but their choice of firing positions was growing thin already. They couldn't move too far to get to a firing point without risking exposure. Reader, push just passed Ellie and Zimmy and cover the span of the plaza. You've got the target in the open, by those crates. Reader confirmed his orders in the same fashion as Hoover while Tag considered what to do with Crystaall. The Jensaarai was less than optimally armed in his opinion, bearing no weapons but her lightsaber and shattergun, but Tag didn't want to leave her out of the action, despite her sometimes brash nature. Crystaall, I've got something special in mind for us. There's two targets left to claim, one in the open yard and the heavy by the door. We'll approach the door together. When I've got line of sight on the target in the yard, I'll order the shot and take him out in time with the rest of the team. When that happens, I need you to get to that heavy as fast as you can and take him out. Tag knew it was a riskier plan, but he didn't intend on missing his target and he'd heard of what the Jensaarai woman was capable of in combat. He didn't feel as if he had much to worry over. Get to position, everyone. Report back when you've got a bead on your targets. We fire on my mark. Kill quietly, kill quickly, kill calmly, Tag voiced the mantra that he'd been repeating to himself for years. It served to help him keep his wits in the heat of a firefight and remind him of what to do in the moment. He remained crouched behind the stonework arch while he watched the rest of the team's icons push away from him on his HUD. They were one, collective shot away from rescuing their captives, and one misstep from this entire operation falling to pieces.

Ali returned to the MAT-TE walker, which sat in place amongst the foliage that coated the ground like a blanket. The walker's call-sign was Whelmer-14D, named after the arctic horny whelmer of the frigid world of Rothana that also served as the design's inspiration. It's massive bulk was propelled by a massive drive core that allowed the vehicle to navigate almost any terrain. Ali walked around to the rear of the vehicle and called for the soldiers inside to open the hatch. She gestured Mirian over with a wave of her hand as the vehicle's rear end opened, revealing a tightly packed collection of armored commandos just inside. "Go ahead and drop the bulk of your gear off in here. We'll catch a ride on the back of this thing."

"OOF!" Mirian tripped over her own legs while following after Ali, but quickly picked herself up and scampered after her superior. She stared in awe at the MAT-TE, Whelmer-14D. Her cargo holds on the Serene Moondancer could probably fit two of these impressive battle transports. She was gawking at the vehicle for so long, she almost lost track of Ali, and then scrambled after her, tripping two more times, and slamming face first into one of the walker's legs.
Disoriented, the girl stumbled drunkenly into the vehicle. You could see the pretty stars orbitting her head, as she obediently, but not very alertly dumped most of her gear inside the vehicle's stores, then followed out to the back, smilling and waving at the commandos, who gave her quizical looks, and then at Ali.
"Try not to get hurt at all!" She tried to joke, while dazed, "I only have last aid kits."
Jon Antilles, one of the commandos, blinked at Mirian, and then looked over at Ali Hadrix, "Last aid?"

Zimmy used his tongue to silently respond to Ander's command. He saw his marker on the community HUD blink green twice as an affirmative before he acted. With practiced skill, he rolled from his cover to the next. He used the cover of shadow to mask his movements as he stood and walked towards the wall. He kept to the shadows just as he was taught, placing one foot in front of the other ball first to mask any sound his boots may have made. He doubted that he would have made much noise regardless, but then again; better safe than sorry. He took a shaking breath then stepped towards the pillar Ander had marked for him, using it's long shadow to conceal his approach. The boy lowered his rifle, angling it up sightly to place the cross-hair of his scope an inch above the paroling sith's ear.
I'm in position. Ready to fire on your order.
Zimmy sighed and let his rifle follow the sith, keeping the cross-hair in position as the man moved left to right along the wall. He wondered to himself if the man knew someone was about to blow his brains out, if he had that feeling that someone was watching him.

*After hearing Tag vie orders and tell everyone positions, Crystaall only smiled at how direct Tag was. The man had to be more than just a GALSAF commando. She could only imagine he had done work before hand, but she refused to think about it now. Not when there were Sith to kill and people to save. Crystaall activated her small visor, as targets began lining up. She quickly removed all of them off her display except for the one she was designated. A heavy man that guarded the very entrance to the room they needed. She let the device line up the multiple take down trajectories, and she saw the most efficient one. Of course it wasn't the quickest, but it was the quietest. If she hadn't shown her seriousness in this mission or proven herself yet, Tag would see how brutal and efficient a Grey Jedi could be.*

*Ellie raised her rifle and lined up her target. She could feel her heart rate rise in the anticipation of bringing down the Sith. Her Jedi training told her it was wrong to take pride in killing another, but her Mandalorian ancestry told her otherwise.* ::Ready.::

Hoover called in his team's ready status moments after Ellie. Tag hefted his rifle and stood to a crouch, ready. He took in a deep breath, let it out slowly. Kill quietly, kill quickly, kill calmly. Go. Tag shot forward in a burst of motion unexpected of a man wearing as much armor and kit as he was. His densely muscled thighs propelled him forward, step after step, quietly closing the distance between himself and his target. In the back of his mind, Tag heard the quiet clicking of several Verpine Assault Carbines. Rounds flew from the shadows around the courtyard, cutting through the air in dead silence. One, two, three Sith dropped as rounds pierced the backs of their heads and necks. Blood shot outward from exit wounds, casting a red shadow on the metal and stone around them as their bodies crumpled to the ground. Tag was still moving, his legs pumping hard, closing in on his prey. No doubt Crystaall would surpass him at some point, but Tag's journey ended sooner than hers. Just as the heavily armed guard outside the near door turned his head and caught sight of the shadow in the dark, Tag brought himself to a sharp halt, having faith the Jensaarai would handle the heavy guard that was stepping his way, weapon drawn. Tag paused just long enough to bring his rifle to bear on his intended target, the only unclaimed Sith milling about in the courtyard. One quiet click and it was done, the man dropped to the ground to join his comrades.

*Crystaall watched as everything happened around her. Silently, one by one did each Sith die. She knew that possibly Ellie would hear the silent echo of the Force pierce the air as they died. They may have been their enemy, but every Force User, if strong enough, could feel another's death. It was sadening, but she didn't let it affect her. The adrenaline within her told her when to strike. Tag reached his target quickly and her own began to see him. But she wasn't too far behind him. With the Force guiding her movements, she blazed past Tag and faced her target in the eyes. The heavy Sith saw her eyes of fire, but couldn't do anything as he began to hold his throat, unable to think clearly. His lungs were quickly crushed into dust and blood came from a wound in his gut. Crystaall's spare hand had held the shattergun that fire into his stomach as she crushed his lungs with the Force. He died almost instantly, but the courtyard had the small echo of a choking man. As everything quieted down, or hopefully quieted down, Crystaall closed her eyes and then stared at Tag.*

Releasing the last motes of air from his lungs, Zimmy squeezed the trigger of his verpine. The slug pierced just to the right of where he intended to shoot him, half an inch from the base of the skull. The bullet ripped through the sith creating a gory mess of blood, bone, flesh and sinew as it tore through him. The death would be a silent one, but not nearly as painless as the boy had intended. With his night vision, Zimmy watched the sith take his last shuddering breath then narrowed his sights on the other patrolling sith just in case it was needed.
Target neutralized
Silently, Zimmy awaited orders.

*On Tags order, Ellie felt her finger gently squeeze the trigger of her rifle. The blaster bolt from her rifle struck the man in the throat just above his armor platting. She watched as the man dropped to his knees before falling onto his side. His signature, and all the others, faded into the force. She wanted to feel something for what she had just done, but she couldn't. Lowering her rifle, she walked over to Tag and gave a nod.* ::We need to move quickly. I doubt they'll be missed for long.::

Ali smirked in amusement at the new medic's clumsiness, one might think the woman had been drinking. Mirian stowed her kit and jested with one of the commandos on her way back out of the MAT-TE's hold. The commando, Staff Sergent Antilles, looked up at Ali and spoke inquisitively. Ali shrugged in response, then gestured for the man to return to the vehicle. Once they were clear of the walker's rear hatch, Ali rapped on the cockpit viewport and the pilot keyed the hatch closed. Ali pulled her buy'ce over her head, hiding her face from view behind a T-shaped visor. Her HUD flashed with a sit-rep from Tag, the Black Operator leading the infiltration team. Captives tentatively located, neutralizing local hostiles. Get ready to move, we could be discovered any moment. Ali closed the message after sending confirmation to Tag that she'd received it. Looking down at Mirian, she called to the other woman. Hurry up, we're moving. All units, this is Hadrix, we are go for approach. Artillery, have you completed firing solutions on the compound? The pilot of the artillery walker that was located just North of their own position replied with an affirmative. We are ready to fire. Ali smiled slightly, excited for the coming battle. All they were waiting on was Tag's orders to fire. Thank you, Fires. All Whelmers, begin your approach. Staggered maneuvers, my own vic will take the Southernmost wing. The engines of the walker rumbled louder as the pilot fed the vehicle more power. The massive MAT-TE lurched forward, stepping three legs at a time as the pilot propelled it forward into the dense forest ahead.

"On your six!" Mirian cleared her head and scampered after Ali. The girl clamped down on the walker to stay on it, her hands holding on for all she was worth.
It's only in the middle of battle that she'd possibly be needed. Until then, it was best that she stayed clear of the battle zone.

Tag returned the group's reports with quickness, falling against the backside of the pillar where he stood. Crystaall remained by the door that hopefully housed their captives. Able Team, reform to provide security for our team. Baker, collapse in on me, we're breaching the door. Tag trotted the several feet across the stonework pathway that ran the perimeter of the courtyard. He pressed himself against the wall opposite Crystaall, waiting for the remaining commandos to join him. Hoover's team was already reworking themselves to take up security positions around the area. Ellie, take point, ahead of me. Tag grabbed the woman by the shoulder as she came passed him, placing her before himself. Everyone else to my six. Tag nodded to Crystaall, grasping her attention. You're breaching, I figured a stab from one of those sabers would do well against that lock. To the rest of the team, he said, Standard breach and clear. Enter, clear, break to the opposite side of the man before you. Back and forth. Got it? Good, breach Crystaall! Tag knew they couldn't waste any time, the Sith could find those bodies any moment...

*Ellie gave a nod and moved into position. In her mind, this was it. This was where she'd finally get her sister back and could finally go home. She raised her rifle and prepared to enter the room, her heart was now pounding in anticipation now more then ever. She watched as the saber dug into the lock and the door slid open. Without hesitation she charged over the threshold and down a small ramp to the floor below. The hallway opened up into a large room with holding cells on either side. Each cell was filled with beings of every race trapped behind energy shields. Ellie could feel the force raidiating off each individual, confirming her suspicions that the Sith were only taking force users. What confused her though was the lack of guards. There was no one else here other then the prisoners. She came to a stop in the middle of the room and scanned the area with her rifle raised.* ::Clear?:: *She asked in a confused voice. It was unlike the Sith, or anybody for that matter, to leave the hostages unattended.*
::Tag. I'm not sensing any one else other then the prisoners. Are you getting anything?:: *She began to walk slowly up the isle of cells searching for her twin. So far she had found a few humans, but none of them were related to her.*

Zimmy sprinted in after Ellie, breaking opposite Ellie and checking his corners. He followed her lead down the hall keeping about five feet behind her, rifle tracing the air before him. He slowed and lowered the rifle to his hip as they came into the room. Energy projectors cast eerie light across the room like sunlight under water. Zimmy could feel the eyes of each prisoner boring down on him. He took step after step behind Ellie, casting his eyes around the room. With a jerk, he froze. A slithering feeling of paranoia drifted up his spine like a sweat drop in reverse, his hair standing on end, his skin pale silver beneath his black armor. All of these people were force users and yet there were no guards... A trap?
How do we know they're prisoners?

*Crystaall only nodded to Tag as she activated one of her purple blades. She quickly sliced and dug out the lock on the door using a hand movement to swing the door open as everyone else piled in. She came up behind Tag with shattergun in hand and her lightsaber being deactivated a few seconds before so no one could hear it except for its power disengaging. But no one was here. The guards outside were dead, and the Force radiated off of every trapped being in this room. Either it was too easy, or the Sith were overconfident that an infiltration team could not manage what they had just done. With there being no guards she expected Tag and his men to asses and free the captured Force-sensitives. Crystaall activated her small transparent visor over her eyes, switching its view to thermal for a moment before turning it back. She could sense the other Sith in the whole base, but none of them were near them.*
:: Either our intended target is not here or these are only secondary captives. There could be stronger Force-sensitives elsewhere, but there's too much energy on this planet to pinpoint it. ::

*Ellie knew that both of them had a point. Either this was a trap, or the Sith were not as well prepared as it seemed. She shook her head at Crystaalls comment.* ::No, she's here. I can feel it.:: *She began to make her way further down the hallway, checking each cell. The closer she got to the end the more she couldn't help but feel that she was wrong. As she approached the last several cells, she came to a stop. There in one of the cells, lying on the floor. Was a female human in her early twenties with dark blonde hair. Ellie almost dropped her rifle as she deactivated the shield on the cell.* ::Vod!:: *She sprinted to her twins side and dropped to her knees. It was then that she realized that her sisters eyes were closed, but she was still breathing. Carefully she shook her twins arm hoping she was just asleep, but got no response.* ::Kaiya wake up it's me, Ellie.:: *To her dismay, Kaiyas didn't stir or even show signs of being awake. Taking off her helmet and setting it down, Ellie closed her eyes and tried to contact her sister with the force. What she got, however, was a sharp pain running down her spine. She could feel the darkside surrounding her twin like a cocoon, trying to bury itself into her sister. Focusing her mind again, she could almost fee her sisters pain and it was then she realized that her sister wasn't asleep, but in a coma. One that was protecting her from the darkside that surrounded her.*
*Ellie turned to the others in the group. Her blue eyes almost searching them for an answer.* "What is this? I can barely feel her presence in the force. I can't even reach into her mind to contact her." *She turned back to her unmoving twin. Anger built up inside Ellie. She couldn't believe that after tracking her twin so far to rescue her, as Kaiya had done for her on Ryloth, and this is what she found. A pit began to form in her stomach next to the anger, one of failure. She felt like she had failed as a sister, and that hurt worse more then anything else she had ever experienced.*

*Crystaall stood in silence as Tag and his team rounded up some of the prisoners, checking their vitals and making sure they were ok. As Ellie walked down the hallway, she watched the girl's reaction change from determined to panicked. It was quick and fast as Crystaall walked down the hallway to stand beside her and the prisoner she called Kaiya. Crystaall wasn't fully aware of what connection the two had, but even she could barely detect the unconscious woman's presence. It was like it was depleted from something or someone. The dark side was an obvious answer, since those who did not wish for it to be there were almost thrust into a sleeping state. At least half of the people who had immense darkness in them or had a connection to the dark side received this state quickly and without warning. Others could bottle it up and many just unleashed their hatred, becoming Sith or something close to the Sith. Of course this was the only research she had done, she had never seen the dark side in action except for the few ties she encountered her brother and other Sith. But the way how Ellie couldn't ener Kaiya's mind was strange. Crystaall kneeled down and placed a hand on Kaiya's forehead and took it off moments later.*
"Ellie, calm yourself. She'll be alright. If I had to guess, there is someone either preventing her from having any connection to the Force or someone had found away to drain the Force from living beings. These are only guesses, but we should get moving. We can figure out what is wrong when we are out of the grasp of these Sith. Staying here makes us vulnerable."
*Crystaall motioned for Zimmy to walk over to her and Ellie.*
::Hey soldier, I need you for a moment::
*Crystaall would attempt to put a hand on Ellie's shoulder, she could feel the guilt of failure as if it had its own form.*
"Ellie, if you truly failed her, you would not be by her side at this moment. Failure only occurs when you cannot choose to abandon those you care for. Now get her up. We really should get moving."
