Given that it’s base configuration is not a medical Frigate, I’d say err on the side of caution.
At any rate, does anyone have any issues with the proposed list? Maybe it’s time to decide on the troop counts for each size class.

Hey guys, I figured it might be worth bringing some attention back to this list. Primarily where it concerns the MAD system for approving ships. This did have some discussion going on, and I do not believe any formal agreement was reached. So I just wanted to bring it back up and see if we could get it sorted out.

With the new addition of specialized boarding that has come up, that should be added to the correct section.

agreed.
probably also need to get some solid numbers for Starfighters and troops in each size range.
and while we are at it, it appears we need to have some discussion about what to do with ships like the Eclipse (http://boards.jedivsith.com/thread/4067/canon-eclipse-class-dreadnought) which seem to break the MAD system.

So far, I actually really like this list. So thank-you for taking the time to make this up.
With a list such as this, it will allow us to really fine tune submissions and get the proper point count for both past and present submissions.
And as of right now, I have nothing more to add to this list, as it seems to cover just about everything that one would normally encounter. Obviously, there is no way to account for every item, so I feel if it is not on the list, we can approach it on a case-by-case basis.

Might need a little fine tuning on troop counts for each size ranges.

Lucien Needa the talks for special gear as well as star fighter counts and troop capacity needing a point.

Yeah, if someone wants to suggest different numbers for troops and starfighters, please do so. I feel like the numbers I put up might be a little disproportionate for each class average.

Well, it is my opinion that we should set some sort of defined minimum per class to justify troop carrying capacity. For example, if a corvette carried, say, 50 people, it wouldn't be, in my opinion, warranting of a point to justify the carrying. Meanwhile, a star destroyer carrying a legion of troops would justify as cause to spend a point, cause it's 8,000 troops, plus supporting vehicles and everything. A rough system is laid out below:
Fighter Class Any at all
Transport Class Above 5
Corvette Class Above 50
Frigate Class Above 100
Cruiser Class Above 200
Star Frigate Class Above 400
Light Star Destroyer Class Above 800
Star Destroyer Class Above 1,600
Heavy Star Destroyer Class Above 3,200
I don't feel the fighter system needs changing however, and the above numbers can be adjusted per what the other RPAs would like.

It all looks good to me. The real question now is any final bits people think should be added. Such as the hyperdrive for star fighters, labs ejecting cockpits, fire-linked lasers, etc?

Given have prevalent hyperdrive technology has become for starfighters... I do not believe it should count as a special gear point.
As for the rest of that list? I have no real strong feelings on any of them, so... if others feel they should, that's fine with me. If not, also fine.

Well, I feel like it all depends on the class of ship. For example, an escape pod on a corvette sized ship or larger would be commonplace c but it would be less so on a fighter (Ex. Scimitar Assault Bomber) or a shuttle (Ex. Millennium Falcon Escape Pod).

It was less for about escape pods in general and seeing on ship having an ejectable cockpit. Was either a frigate or corvette size that I noticed.

When you say ejecting cockpits, are you talking like the K-wing and Y-wing? At least those are the models that come to mind. Could have the entirely wrong models, but I recall a couple Rebel ships have cockpits that detached from the body.

I was meaning like the Nebulon-C escort frigate and its command bridge able to be ejected in emergency.

Ah! Well that I might consider special gear given that most ships are not equipped with something like that.

I see no problem with the list so far. As it will allow us to have submissions be more accurate in the future.
