So, I imagine you dark side types could possibly have use for a Hutt. Looking to contact the leader IC as to set up some sort of trades and some RP. What is the best way to do that IC?

Hello to you all. Soon, I'm hoping to get Gavin teaching the acolytes and apprentices of the Iridonia Sith Academy. I don't plan to start any posting until everything gets settled out with Gavin and the Headmaster IC, but wanted to get this out so anyone wanting to get involved can start putting it in your books.

I have plans myself for what I'd like to do teaching wise with everyone, though it is subject to change depending on what Viox wants to do, but I figure I'll open up my plan. This will really be open for the apprentices and acolytes, like I said, focusing some attention on Luxeria, Vasari, Xakire, and Darth Sirona. However, if you choose to not be involved, that is fine. But Gavin's goal in teaching is enhancing those in the academy to be far better warriors. Overall, the training will span many fields, though the "open" classes will reside in the physical and Force enhancements. This will mostly be done through refining the small details, such as furthering the ability of the four basics of combat: evasion, blocking and deflecting, counters and parries, and attack. Overall, the point is to heighten the senses to evade attacks within an opponent's attack radius, move fluidly to save energy, learning to attack pressure points and vital organs, anything to grant the upper hand while using the least amount of energy and doing the most damage in the shortest amount of time. To finish the physical is focusing on balance to the highest degree he can get someone. On the Force side, it'll be about fine tuned control and precision as well as building one's stamina and reserves so they can utilize abilities more and longer.

For the closed classes, Gavin will chose the most promising students, which will be the current PC at the apprentice/acolytes. This will involve the mental and spiritual side by working to make them masters of the past, their emotions, and pain so that they can excel in nearly any situation thrown against them.

Of course, as stated, this is my plan unless Viox prefers a different approach.

For the time frame, I'd like to start it after the siege of Pzob but just before the battle of Felucia. With that, I understand the pains of doing two things at the same time, but unable to address something that might have been learned in the earlier part of the timeline when it hasn't happened. As such, for those choosing to take part of the battle as well as the classes, the plan for the sessions before the battle will focus on evasion and blocking. In the evasion exercises, he'll have everyone working to stay within three feet of a person's maximum attack radius, emphasizing of fluidity of motion to lessen the amount of energy needed to move from one place to another/ using momentum to carry you, and keeping a clear mind to more easily anticipate how an opponent will attack. For blocking, less time will be focused here due to the announcement of the battle and ending the class early or before the next day of sessions. This will focus primarily on reinforcing one's stance, as well as knowing when to let a block give or reside closer to the body to allow an opponent to move closer into your radius of attack.

Masters and other full fledged Sith who want to watch or join in are more than welcome, as I'm sure many would be curious as to why a non-Sith would be teaching. 

The classes will be casual in posting speed so don't worry about trying to get as many posts in as possible. We've got time and will work best on its own level of rp so not to interfere with any missions that may come up. If something gets started and you want to add something from a class that hasn't been rped yet, let me know and I can work something that would probably be addressed.
