Saoirse decides to take off her shoes even after Ayla explains it is not necessary that she do so, deciding to give it a try since there might be some advantage to doing so that Ayla knows about. Nodding after Ayla explains that it would be unrealistic to expect that she will be able to get into a meditative state during this first lesson, Saoirse grins and says, "Got it," her few experiences with trying to meditate preparing her for the fact it will not be easy for her, especially since she will be focused on learning the katas, which will make emptying her mind more difficult and probably not really advisable given that she wants to retain the lesson. Like Ayla said, however, Saoirse trusts that once she has learned the katas and can perform by them by rote and without needing to think about them, she will stand a better chance of actually emptying her mind enough to get into the meditative mindset.
After mirroring the bow Ayla offers before beginning the lesson, Saoirse does her best to focus on and repeat the body movements Ayla leads her through, listening attentively to the corrections and suggestions that are offered. It takes a while for Saoirse to feel comfortable with the movements, but as she starts to become familiar with the pattern of the movements and can focus less on memorizing them, she finds that she can go through the patterns more naturally and comfortably, which in turn enables her to clear her mind, if only a little, from all of the whirling thoughts and concerns and hopes and fears and other assorted clutter that typically swirl around, and she has the sense that the more she practices the katas and strives to clear her head the better able she will be to get into a meditative state. When Ayla points out that while she had been playing bolo-ball it had been easier to feel and use the Force because of the frame of mind she had been in had made doing so easier, Saoirse feels even more certain that using the katas she is learning as a form of moving mediation is the right choice for her.
Smiling gratefully as she offers Ayla a respectful bow like the one she had demonstrated at the beginning of the lesson, Saoirse says, "I think I'm good for now, since as relaxing as the katas were, her muscles are starting to ache from the day spent sparring and playing bolo-ball, and she also feels like trying to learn any other katas would tax her ability to retain the ones Ayla has shown her so far. Looking aver at Atlantis, knowing that he was also interested in learning the katas so, she guesses, he can incorporate them into their training regimen, Saoirse asks, Unless you think we should go on, Master?"

Before moving to the training rooms with Ayla guiding the way, earlier back in at the Academy grounds, Atlantis had replied to most if not all of Saoirse's questions. The first one had been about Nadira, if he did hit back the Dazouri to which he had replied with a negative answer due to the reason that Nadira was very fully aware, and so again if someone had to hit Nadira, it wouldn't be him at all and whatsoever since she was of clear mind even in her rage form. However when it did come to the suggestion of potentially having the upper hand against someone who was bigger and stronger, Atlantis had mentioned to always be aware of her surroundings, as perhaps she might be able to use that in her advantage, but also play the strength against the opponent. Unpredictability was key indeed too, but to always be aware of the surroundings always.
He had also mentioned that when Crystal did her girls thing with her friends, honestly he wasn't fussed about it as after all his girlfriend did deserve some downtime and he never needed to always be with her in a way, plus the fact that to begin with that the woman actually didn't need him, but actually wanted him, that was just a win in his book, as for what they did well it actually included a few or several drinks back at her place, or in a bar. They weren't one to plan ahead constantly but any time they were altogether, it was a good enough reason to pop some bottles apparently.
Now that he was here back in the training room with Ayla as the teacher, and some other students had actually joined them to either watch or follow along, Atlantis had also removed his shoes, as it was more comfortable, plus feeling the ground on his own feet that was a plus, he was more connected to the earth so to speak, and thus he just followed along after bowing respectfully. Honestly, even if Saoirse had called him Grandmaster earlier, there were some instances where he actually never felt to be one. Atlantis still thought that someone else was deserving of that, but it fell onto him because that was the whole point to begin with. However that aside, the more he followed through the katas, which at least that one he knew, Atlantis' mind just went blank, he wasn't thinking, he was just peacefully doing his moves with even his eyes closed, and just kept being aware of his surroundings.
By the end of their session, Atlantis let out a soft comfortable and peaceful breath before smiling fully, he did not know how much time had passed, but what he did know was that he was just in the now, and just completely relaxed. Glancing at Ayla who was giving Saoirse that choice to stop there or carry on, Atlantis looked at the Zabrak with a warm smile before shaking his head. "No, you have done quite enough and a lot for the day, you deserve some rest, and soak up those muscles of yours in a bath." Sparring match that morning, then limmie, and then now some katas, even that could make anyone exhausted. "Besides, it's getting late, just read a book or watch something later. We'll touch base again tomorrow."
Walking over to his effects, Atlantis put his shoes back on and then fetched something in his jacket's inner pocket. "Ayla, if you see Forcias, can you please give him this." He shook the flask in his hand and tossed it towards Ayla with a knowing smile. "Crystal picked it up last night for Elika but..." Atlantis knew that Ayla would understand immediately that it belonged to Lucy since everyone if not all knew that Elika wasn't the type to carry a flask with her, but her lieutenant did. "It's Lucy's, I am very sure she was more than preoccupied with Kes."

“You did great.” Said Ayla sincerely to Saoirse, she had noticed that the Zabrak woman truly was interested to learn and not once at all she seemed turned off by the katas. Which was the reason why Ayla did not hesitate to let Saoirse know that she was very content with the first lesson. Smiling and looking at Atlantis, whom Ayla was pretty sure that he, too, would call this training session to an end even if Saoirse had deferred the decision to him. “And don’t forget to eat also.” She added to Atlantis’ suggestions to what Saoirse could do later on, after all, after a bolo-ball game and straight up to learning some katas, it was bound to open one’s appetite.
Walking over towards her cloak and hearing her datapad signaling she had received a message, not the important kind at least, Ayla still glanced at the message and smirked at the content before replying quickly and efficiently that she’d join up soon enough as she was just finishing here at the Academy. A fortuitous coincidence too, since the message had been from Forcias, and that got her to look at Atlantis when he called out her name. “Most certainly.” Catching the flask and getting some of the recent images that occurred last night, Ayla closed her eyes and stopped that ability of hers that wasn’t perfect at all, or just yet compared to her cousin’s or Horsea’s, often times her psychometry would kick in when she least expected it.
“Yes, I am very sure that getting her flask back in that moment was the last thing on her mind.” Smiling, already knowing exactly how and why this came into Elika’s possession to begin with as she had seen brief flashes of Lucine taking this boot flash of hers and give it to Elikapeka to calm her down after they had found out that they had been gone for three years to all of them. Putting her boots back on before pulling her black leather gloves from her belt, Ayla also put those on before standing up from the bench and grabbing the flask in hand once again after wrapping her cloak around her forearm.
Looking at Saoirse with a knowing smile, Ayla inclined her head before telling her, “As I have mentioned earlier, I do not foresee being away from here tomorrow, and so if you want to pick up from where we have left off, we can do that. Or we can do something different.” Unless she had a hangover tomorrow, but probably not, she wasn’t really the kind to drink a lot. “I will tell you both have a nice evening, and just relax, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Walking towards the exit of the training room, Ayla headed to her private quarters in the residential building to freshen up and just change into civilian clothes, which consisted of just jeans, a simple t-shirt and her black leather jacket plus her gloves and lightsaber but also the stygium crystal that she placed into her jacket’s pocket.

Saoirse grins as she puts a hand to her stomach, which rumbles on cue when Ayla reminds her that she should eat in addition to taking the hot bath that Atlantis recommends after saying that she has done enough to call it a day. "Sounds like my stomach thanks you, Saoirse tells Ayla, adding, Thanks again. Nodding when Ayla says that she intends to be around the academy tomorrow so that they can work more on the katas, Saoirse waves and tells her, Have a nice night too, and I'll see ya tomorrow!"
After Ayla has left, Saoirse puts her hands at the small of her back and arches her back and shoulders backwards to stretch as she tells Atlantis with a grin, "Those katas really work at the head clearing thing, standing up straight and waving her left hand over the side of her head as she explains in a mildly surprised tone of voice, There isn't a single question bouncing around in there right now. Since Atlantis has suggested that they touch base sometime tomorrow, Saoirse bows and then proposes, Catch you at breakfast maybe, Master?"
After parting ways with Atlantis, Saoirse heads first to the dining hall to grab something to quiet her rumbling stomach, and then makes her way to her quarters to relax in a hot bath just as Atlantis had suggested.
