This is a question that begs to be asked. & I do not intend for it to be loaded. Now the concept of one character per IP # seems reasonable. Here's the 'but'. Let us say that one is confined to a restrictive area, such as a care facility.... Hypothetical. Single IP for well over 150 people. You can cancel out a lot of people, due to age, mental or physically disability who could not use the net even if they wished to. Ok let's be generous and say that knocks off 75 people. Let us go one further and assume that another 17 wouldn't go near the rp experience with a ten foot pole. The remaining 8 dig JvS. One IP and they ain't leaving that place.... What then? Well, it only becomes an issue if you start trying to apply for faction bonuses, which at this stage, are still calculated based on how many unique IPs you have for a faction. Otherwise, you shouldn't run into an issue.

Even then I dont think it is to much of an issue. Correct me if I am wrong on this, but on 2.0 I recall reading that its acceptable to have multiple characters on a single IP apply to different factions. Of course if yall were in the same faction then things may get sticky.

Really? The question is purely hypothetical what you say seems to have answered it. Ain't like we have any JvS people here, which is a shame, as some old WWII vet might spice it up. Still have to wonder though. Many people in factions have a similarity drawing them there. But all said satisfies me

Becca and Xeonon are correct. It's not really an issue in most cases. There is certainly no rule against many characters from a single IP address.
