Walking beside the other Imperial Knight Brock exuded an air of calm confidence. Sure the calm was slightly faked, but he'd mastered that particular skill before he'd been old enough to shave. In truth this den of darkness inside the Imperial Headquarters creeped him out. He had faced larger and more disturbing places in his time but something about this being at the heart of the Empire that he serves makes the whole affront feel personal. Nodding in agreement with Panno about hating the place Brock kept his hands far away from the two sabers at his belt, continuing his charade of arrogance. He did however mentally check the position of the throwing knives in his boots and forearm guards. I don't intend to give them much of a choice, besides if they keep anyone at the door it'll likely be stormtroopers. I doubt the Knights of Ren are really the type to just stand watching their own door all day.

Anyone looking to enter the Tower belonging to the Knights of Ren would find a large set of metal doors that stood unguarded. As they had since the day the tower had been built. Unlike the rest of the Imperial Compex, the Tower of the Ren had no need for armed guards. Their security was ensured not only by their favour with Nicademus, but by the aura within the Force that diverted most people to take longer than necessary alternate routes.
It worked out well, since the Knights of Ren lacked the substantial numbers required to man their own door. And it meant they didn’t have to rely on Stormtroopers who could be tossed around by just about any Force User.
Beyond the metal doors, one would find a large atrium that rose up several floors, before turning into solid roof. At the far end was a pair of curved stair cases which lead to a second level where access to the turbo lifts was made possible. The levels above that had various layouts depending upon their use

As fate, capricious and whimsical as fate can at times be, or so it often seems, would have it, as the pair of Imperial Knights approach the large unguarded metal doors serving as the Tower's entrance, Katsumi is exiting the Tower after a rare, brief visit to Muunilinst. And so it is then, as though in response to the arrival of the Imperial Knights at the entrance to the Tower, the large metal doors creak slowly open to reveal the shadowy depths beyond.
Emerging from the shadows at the far end of the atrium, Katsumi spies the Imperial Knights and, her steady pace unchanged by the sight or the possible implications of the arrival of a pair of Imperial Knights, continues walking towards them as though it was her intent all along to greet them. Stopping within an arm's length of the Imperial Knights, her visage hidden behind the onxy-hued skull shaped mask that compliments the tattered and filthy robes covering her thin, wraith-like frame, Katsumi executes an exaggerated, not quite openly mockingly courtly bow as she greets the Imperial Knight duo in a bemused tone that the sibilant hiss her mask lends her voice may conceal, "Welcome, friends, to the Tower of the Knights of Ren. Rising from the bow, Katsumi tilts her head at an inquisitive angle as she asks in the same tone as before, What, pray tell, is it that brings you here, dear friends?"

Rolling his eyes he looked over at Brock before Katsumi had finished approaching them and spoke in a rather sardonic tone.
What was that about Stormtroopers probably guarding the area?
Watching woman approach he tried to judge her he remembered to remove his hand from his lightsaber. So far there was no need for him to use it and he hoped to keep it that way. Waiting for her to rise from the bow he choose to cross his arms and stand rather indignantly while she spoke. Or what he figured was a she, considering the way that her mask muffled and changed her voice.
I didn't know we warranted a welcoming party did you Brock? We figured we could come visit our cousins in the Force, I have never heard of an Imperial Knight visiting the Tower and we were curious what it was like inside.

Harnan seemed to appear from the shadows as he walked across the giant atrium toward the main doors. His black armour causing him to almost disappear back in to the shadows, while his shield and blades remained sheathed in his back. He had just been on his way own way out of the tower as the Imperial Knights had been arriving. He came to a stop alongside Katsumi. Crossing his arms across his chest as he looked the two interlopers over You are no cousins of ours, Imperial Knight. There is a reason none of your kind have visited before. It is because you do not belong here. You would do well to heed the caution your brothers and sisters have treated visiting this place with... it would be a real shame if something were to happen to you here...

The tenor of the unexpected encounter - despite Katsumi's efforts to conceal her personal disdain for their Imperial Knight visitors beneath a thin veneer of civility that she sought to cultivate less out of any inclination towards politeness than due to a penchant for slyness and deception grounded in the understanding that courtesy often leads to a lowering of one's guard that can be exploited - tips towards the openly hostile even before her brother, Harnan, enters the scene; the body language and vocal intonation of the Dressellian accompanying the thusfar silent human making it evident to Katsumi that, as one would expect, there is no love whatsoever lost between their respective orders. The Imperial Knights, Katsumi estimates, cannot be such great fools as to not have anticipated that their mere presence alone would be a provocation to any of the Knights of Ren they might cross paths with; making the true purpose of their visit something of mystery if that purpose is anything other than simply looking for a fight. As it is ingrained in her nature to deny, hinder, or otherwise impair her enemies, Katsumi's instinct is to pretend to be civil and open, denying the Imperial Knights a fight if that is what they seek. Such duplicitous subtlety, however, is not something to be found in Harnan's entrance onto the scene, and Katsumi idly wonders whether there could be, anywhere among her brothers and sisters in the Knights of Ren, a more fundamentally temperamentally and strategically opposed partner. The situation's odds of proving to be entertaining, if not constructive in any way shape or form for any involved, in Katsumi's estimation, have improved considerably.
Conflicting messages can be distracting, and so Katsumi does not allow Harnan's choice to verbally provoke the Imperial Knights to dictate how she chooses to play with their unexpected guests, instead maintaining her deceptive air of civility as she holds up her hands as though to suggest that all present take a proverbial deep breath while saying, without permitting any traces of the venomous sarcasm she feels as she speaks to be revealed in her tone or in her thoughts, which are zealously guarded and concealed out of sheer habit, "It would be such a great shame, yes, which is why we should all take a moment to remember that we are all devoted to the great task of sowing order. Let us not forget, as well, that we are all knights, and should therefore conduct ourselves with all of the chivalry that implies."

Brock's immediate response was laughter. For a good 10 seconds the brown haired human erupted in genuine laughter before turning to the woman, a hint of amusement rather than fear tinting his words. Honey, you can drop the act. We're well aware you're all duplicitous vermin who have no intention of being nice to us except as a distraction. The woman's deception was well done and Brock hadn't actually detected any falsehood in her, but his belief in what the Knights of Ren makes him believe that his words are true. Your "look I'm a monster who lives under the beds of small children" act contradicts your attempts at civility in any case. Besides any "Chivalry" And yes he uses genuine air quotes at his point. you or tiny here He gestures to the large male Knight of Ren. ever had died a long, long time ago. So why don't you and Mr. "I'm obviously overcompensating for something small" He punctuates that sentence with a pointed look under the other man's belt. leave us alone and go back to sacrificing school children to your dark god or whatever you "people" He uses air quotes again here. do to warm up your evil glands for the day. Then we can go about our business and I can get out of this rather dreary conversation. Brock wasn't exactly attempting to cause a physical altercation, but he wasn't about to kiss up to darksiders and so he did what he always did, laid it out straight for everyone to know where he stands. If that caused the Ren to react badly, well at least he'd have an excuse to remove two members of the blight on the Empire that their order represents.

Pannos poker face nearly broke at the way that Brock spoke. He knew that he was a hot head and a jokester but he had been hoping for a little bit of tact. After all this was meant to not draw attention, yet they had not entered and already encountered two of the Knights of Ren.
Perhaps you should listen to your sister here. Both of us are Force Sects, two sides of the same coin here to serve our Empire and the Emperor, and help bring worlds under the Imperial banner.
Looking over at his fellow Imperial Knight he scowled at Brock.
Perhaps we should break down this barrier between us and our groups and thus avoid any unnecessary issues between us now and in the future.
Of course he had no real intention of doing so, and wished for the Knights of Ren to be expunged from the First Orders ranks. He was simply trying to avoid any issues in the here and now. He had no interest in fighting either Knight right here in the heart of the Empire.
Let me start at this point he held out his hand towards both Rens I am Master Grai'Tal

Katsumi and Panno seemed to be of the same mind. As each tried to lend a voice of reason to pretending like the Ren and Imp Knights could get along and coexist. Something He and Brock could both agree would never happen. They were far too different in ideology and purpose. Where the Imperial Knights wanted to bow their head and unquestioningly serve Nicademus, the Ren were not as obedient Chivalry? The Imperial Knights know nothing of chivalry... or loyalty, which they claim to be. Tell me, how many of your kind have betrayed the First Order in recent days? I know of at least a couple I have faced personally... First there had been Aeryn Morningstar on Ossus. And then Xeonon Solomon on Aargau. The former he had killed and personally presented the lightsaber of to Nicademus. The latter had been publicly executed You are correct, we are both Force Sects. But that is where our common ground ends... You seek to serve the light, as you perceive it incarnated in Nicademus. We seek balance and order. Something your kind has repeatedly tipped the scales far from... It is only a matter of time before you reveal yourselves as the duplicitous snakes that you are, and we can remove your kind once and for all... You and the Sith... He turned his attention to the golden armoured Imperial Knight then You have no business here... Walk away and get out of this conversation. You will find nothing here...

Katsumi finds the Imperial Knights an amusing pair; one prattling childishly and clearly intent on provocation despite his claims he wishes to be left alone even though it is he that has come to the Tower for whatever purpose it is that he conceals beneath his scorn fueled drivel, while the other speaks, truthfully or not, of breaking down barriers that are unlikely to be broken when they are born from such deep seated differences in ideology and purpose.
As pleased as she is mildly surprised that Harnan does not rise to the clown's baiting, Katsumi nods when her brother has finished speaking, addressing the human as she lifts a hand and gestures towards the direction the Imperial Knights had approached the Tower from, "If it is indeed your desire to extricate yourself from the conversation your presence has invited, that is, happily for us all, easily accomplished. Walk away, and I can assure you that we will neither bar your passage nor mourn your absence. Dismissing the human, Katsumi takes the Dressalian's offered hand and, after shaking it, tells him in a tone suggesting she regrets what she says even though she does not despite her belief in what she says, As what our friends have shared makes clear, Master Grai'Tal, I fear the barrier you so insightfully perceive exists between our groups is unlikely to be surmounted when so many in our respective groups are convinced of the innate duplicity of the other. Perhaps it would be best to follow the Emperor's wise example and take steps to see that we give one another a wide berth?" Though she suspects that Nicademus, in courting the loyalty of both the Knights of Ren and the Imperial Knights even though they are diametrically opposed in many ways, is in the end more pragmatic than wise, Katsumi can only admire the way the so-called Emperor has, thus far, managed to avoid encounters such as this simply by ensuring that they never operate in close proximity.

Harnan's comments about traitors nearly eared him a blade through the eye. A sudden rush of faces moved through Brock's memories. The newly Knighted Caspian's shock as his arm was retrained and one of Brocks blades made it the whole way through his skull. The Ostia siblings, Nira's severed head silently judging him, while Raymnd's eyes as his lifeblood drained from his slit throat. Brock's left hand grips tightly on the Knife that did it as he banished those thoughts before they could reach the most painful memory of them all. He turns his suddenly hardened eyes to the big man. We expunge traitors, not matter the cost, why do you think we are here? His voice is very low, loud enough for the others to hear, but quite enough that it's possible he was only talking to himself. He moves his eyes between the two knights of Ren, ignoring his companion's pleasantries. You talk of the Emperor's wisdom and his example, but all it is is lip service. You are using him for your own goals. You are duplicitous snakes and I just wanted to come here and let you know that we know. Not taking his eyes off the two he begins slowly backing away hard brown eyes focusing between the two serpents as he does, his left hand still on the hilt of his knife.

This went about as well as to be expected. Especially when you had a hot head on either side of the divide. In truth Panno did not truly believe the words he said. There would never be cooperation between the two groups, and if he was smart he would indeed keep a wide berth from the Knights of Ren. Perhaps though this woman could be reasoned with. His years of being persecuted for his race had made the Dressillian quite taciturn when confronted he would be able to talk himself out of a situation. Maybe he could talk himself into this one.
Maybe the two loud and angry people would like to leave myself and the Lady Ren alone? I for one would like to learn more about the Knights of Ren, if the Emperor indeed plans on us working together as sword and shield of the Empire would it not be better that we learn to trust one another? We may never be best friends, but we would be doing the Emperor and everyone else a disservice by keeping up this feud.
Reaching out in the force Panno opened one of the pouches on his armour and pulled out a few seeds he carried.
Do I really need to talk about what they seeds represent?

Vlad, now known among his peers within the Knights of Ren as Bestellen, was observing the exchange from his perch atop of an ancient urn gathered from some far corner of the galaxy. Priceless in every aspect of the word. Seated on the urn, legs stretched out, leaning up against the wall, head down, arms folded across his chest, the Zabrak scoffed at his fellow Ren.
"Is that any way to treat our guests, dear brother? And you, Imperial Knight, is that any way to speak to someone after barging in to their home uninvited? The lack of respect here is astounding..."
At that, Vlad chuckled to himself.
"And you wonder why we all hate each other..."
Still reclined atop the urn, Vlad merely sighed.
"If this petulant stick measuring contest must continue, go do it elsewhere. I'm trying to catch some shut-eye here..."
Normally Vlad couldn't be bothered to get involved with the rivalry between the Imperial Knights and the Knights of Ren, but to resist the urge to get under Harnan's skin, well that was one thing he couldn't do. Getting a rise out of the Imperial Knights was one thing. He personally never had any issues with them, and in fact, respected them for the most part. And the Knights of Ren weren't as terrible as his brother had made them out to be, but getting a rise out of Harnan had fast become one of his favorite past times. Because it was easy to do, most of the time. Unless he was trying his best to be the stoic warrior he could be at times, then he had a better chance of getting a rise out of a Hutt who had just been robbed blind. But right now, with the implied 'stick' measuring contest happening between Harnan and the brown-haired male, it was so terribly easy to poke fun at his brother-in-arms.
Readjusting himself, Vlad continued with the facade that he was actually trying to get some shut-eye. But he was prepared to dish out another retort or two, should the gathering of Knights continue to measure the size of their sabers...

Harnan kept his gaze upon Brock, as the man boasted about knowing the Ren were up to something. He gestured his hand toward the hallway that Brock was backing up towards. Even if the Imperial Knights found some evidence of any betrayal the Ren might be planning, Illaria had Nicademus too entrapped for the man to believe any such claims. Especially after how often the Imperial Knights has betrayed him of late Everyone uses each other. Don’t be so naive to think otherwise... Now, if you’re done telling us information we already know, go away, and return to that tower you call home... Harnan turned to the Dressillian the It’s hard to trust someone that has so often betrayed their oath... He turned his attention to Katsumi then. No doubt she would continue to play her game with the Imperial Knights. Hoping that niceties might gain her information otherwise inaccessible to them If you intend to play nice with their kind, do so elsewhere Sister... At last he looked to where Bestelen was perched. Their newest brother. Soku’s pet project finally having attained a rank within the Ren. The Zabrak’s game was all too familiar. And not one he would fall for this time They are no guests... merely interlopers that have over reached their position... much like yourself little brother... be sure Soku does not catch you up there. He prefers his stuff clean... Harnan watched the Imperial Knights then. Waiting for one of them to make a move. If indeed a fight was to happen, then he would not be the first one to throw a punch. But he would certainly be the last. Then, Nicademus might finally be forced to disband the order with two more heads sitting on his desk

Vlad chuckled at Harnan's remark about Soku liking his stuff 'clean'. It was true, despite how amusing it was. Regardless, Vlad sung his feet around and slid down off the urn. Landing softly on the floor, much softer than one of his statue would surely warrant, he casually strode over to where Harnan and Katsumi stood.
"Ah brother, over reaching ones position is for Sith, or Dark Jedi. Not the Ren. Despite our differences, your cause is clear and the goal is within sight. Let's not sully that by having another incident here..."
Shrugging, Vlad turned on his heel and walked out of the tower, unsure of where he wanted to go next. Before fully exiting the tower, he called out to Harnan.
"Just make sure you clean up after yourself this time. As you say, Soku likes his things clean. And he still hasn't gotten the blood out from the last time..."
And with that, the Zabrak had disappeared through the doors, hoping that the Ren and the Imperial Knights weren't going to murder each other in the main atrium. However, his job was stressful enough without babysitting Harnan and making sure he was well behaved. So at this point, as much as he wanted to interfere, he knew better. It would resolve itself, one way or the other, he was sure.

Executing a courtly bow, Katsumi tells Harnan, "Oh, why yes of course, dear brother," trusting that he will recognize the amused playfullness inherent in her use of a gesture that she, not known for her social graces anymore than she is for her consistent attention to personal hygiene, has never before employed even if others present do not.
Motioning in invitation towards the streets stretching out before the Tower, Katsumi asks Panno, "Shall we then, Master Grai'Tal, go off, you and I, to speak of seeds and what might spring forth from them if they find fertile soil and are tended well?" The Imperial Knights and their guiding philosophy and ideology are, unlike those of the Knights of Ren, relatively well known to most inhabitants of the universe, and so Katsumi doubts that her interaction with Panno will be particularly informative; and even though she harbors doubts as to how sincere the Dresselian is in his quest to plant seeds of trust between their organizations, Katsumi sees no harm in seeing where indulging him leads.
Walking away from the entrance to the Tower, Katsumi pauses as she nears the street leading away from it, looking over her shoulder to see if Panno will in fact choose to leave his hot headed companion behind to accompany her alone.

Brock stopped near the door waiting for Panno, leaning up against the large doorframe. He chose not to engage the newcomer in conversation, having already made his way out of the conversation. He was tempted to spit his lack of respect for the Knights of Ren, but he figured he had already made that quite clear. If Panno decided to walk and talk with this creature he would stay nearby, but he'd let them have their conversation, he'd played his part in this encounter and was ready to move on. He'd confirmed all his suspicions about them and he was more convinced than ever that they needed to be exterminated. On the outside however he seemed to simply be lounging against the door frame, chewing a bit f home made nerf jerky and waiting to see what Panno did.

At least one of the Rens were not outright hostile. Looking back over his shoulder at Brock and then back at Katsumi he shrugged.
Right now might not be best Lady Ren, the temper between our two brothers are kind of high. What about we walk through the city in an hour?
This would have to do, Harnan had all but barred them from the tower for now. Even if there was no information to be gained from the duo talking it would show the public that the two organizations were working together. That the empire, the First Order was more unified than ever.
You wouldn't consider loosing the mask would you? I would love to look at your face while we chat.

A bemused smile surfaces on her lips beneath her mask when Panno requests that she remove her mask when they meet later to walk through the city together, for she is so skilled a liar and so adept at artfully policing her expressions without the mask she considers her true face to conceal them that she is utterly unconcerned by the prospect of no longer having the mask to wear. There is, Katsumi believes, little to lose by speaking with the Imperial Knight, as if she can allay his suspicions about the Knights of Ren even a little, it provides a tactical advantage of sorts if the end result is even a little less scrutiny from the Imperial Knights.
Executing another courtly bow, Katsumi says in a tone carefully modulated to convey none of the amusement she feels, to Panno, "In an hour, then, good sir Knight. As she rises from the bow, Katsumi adds with contrived coquettishness exaggerated enough that her attempt at humor should be obvious, For you, Master Grai'Tal, I shall leave my mask behind, her tone becomes more serious as she concludes, so long as you agree to leave your prejudices and preconceived notions behind in exchange."
An hour later, her mask left behind as promised, Katsumi waits for Panno to join her on the street appointed for their meeting. Her face is unremarkable, save for a deceptively delicate, almost fragile appearance only enhanced by the stark, sickly paleness of her skin, which is, here and there, marred by the darkened traceries of the veins beneath the skin. Her eyes, too, reveal that she has submerged herself deeply in the depths of the Dark Side of the Force, with their sulfuric yellow sclera and orange irises. The dark hair that billows around Katsumi's face as she waits for Panno is worn loose and evidences no apparent recent attempts to tame it in any way.

As Panno walked towards the meeting he wondered what had truly possessed him to ask to meet Katsumi? At the time he had just wanted to get out of the situation, he liked Brock he did but sometimes he was an idiot. Almost right away he had started to antagonize multiple Knights of Ren at once. Their mission failed right away. Harnen had seen to that. He had simply wanted to maybe pick Katsumis mind. Yet as he walked there he felt like he couldn't take a deep enough breath and his stomach was doing flips.
Approaching the corner near the base of the Temple he noticed the woman immediately. Despite never having seen her face she stood out like a sore thumb. Her clothing had not changed from their earlier meeting and its torn and frayed edges did nothing to draw people towards her. The fact that she looked pale as snow and on deaths door with all the dark side veins she may as well be carrying the Rachghoul disease. Walking closer towards her he tried to project his own force aura onto hers to try and match or overcome the darkness emanating from her.
Nodding his head he smiled at her.
Hello Mistress Ren, shall we walk into the city proper and find somewhere to eat while we talk?
