*Gavel Guy had followed Atlantis into the theater, still holding his gavel horizontally with the mallet resting in his palm, smiling reverently and expectantly as he stopped near the soon-to-be happy couple and waited for the quite lovely lady to say yes.
... or "no," punctuated with a whack on Atlantis's head with his own gavel. He frowned, partially due to the rejection, but mostly because no one was respecting the gavel today. He sighed, watching as the woman left the theater and her beau behind, then frowned down at his gavel, taking out a handkerchief and gently polishing it, lamenting.*
I'm sorry no one seems to respect you today, my love...
*Satisfied, he put the handkerchief away just in time to see Atlantis not quite giving up yet. That honestly brought a smile to Gavel Guy's face, gave him hope that they could yet salvage this situation, and the gavel could perform a wedding after all. He made to hurriedly catch up with the young man...*

-Z'har A pleasure Master Roma, I do believe that we will be meeting shorting in truth as well.
Following Jade to Plu's table, Z'har grabbed one of the seats & settled into it. There were several ways he could great the old man, but Z'har decided to have a bit of fun at the expense of the two Jedi Masters present.
-Z'har Oya Buir, how goes the Unknown Campaign?

"Why Dmitri," she replied in a similarly chiding drawl, "not all entanglements are to be frowned upon. Some of them are rewarding in multiple indirect ways." She took another sip of her drink and eyed him in a sidelong fashion, "It's alright. Once it becomes 'home' I think it will be high time to determine whether or not I truly belong there. Some career politicians are entirely too comfortable with their offices and they have fallen out of touch with reality."
She continued with, "Not referring to yourself in this instance. Your office is too messy, and you always seem tired; hence, you are absorbed in what you are doing probably in the belief that your efforts alone can change the galaxy for the better." Dark eyebrows arched inquisitively, daring him to deny the truth behind her words. Senator Koronov had something of a reputation for single-minded dedication to specific humanitarian initiatives along with absentminded neglect of himself.

Recognizing the dark haired woman that approaches the table and addresses her adoptive father from her acceptance speeches earlier, Neassa says, Congratulations on your awards Master Jade, and then settles back in her chair to let the woman and Plu talk. "Master Jade!" The old Mandalorian exclaimed in surprise, sliding out a chair for her. "Please, do have a seat!" He patted the seat insistently. "And congratulations! A most deserved award. If I had known, I might have requested to be allowed to present yours." It had been so long since they had crossed paths face to face, he honestly could not remember their last meeting. He wondered if it had been during her stewardship of Galantos all those years ago, or whether they had met more recently. It couldn't have been that long ago, could it? But he had been out of circulation for a number of years now. Anything was possible at this point. When Ael had taken a seat, he motioned to the young woman in Mandalorian beskar'gaam who was seated across the table from him. "Have you met my daughter, Neassa?" He asked, pride in his voice. "Master Jade, Neassa aliit-Or'dinii. Neass'ika, Jetii Master Ael Jade." He paused for a moment to allow them to exchange any additional greetings, then addressed Ael once more. "What have you been doing lately, old friend? I heard a rumor that you have taken up residence on Corellia, with my former allies at the Jetii Academy." There was amusement in his voice. "I always thought you were more of a loner, Jade, so I'm surprised you would want to get mixed up in Jetii politics." "Thank you, Neassa," Jade replied, assuming there was a family relationship between her and Plu, although with the Mandalorian concept of 'family' being what it was keeping up with the convoluted twistings of Plu's family tree was confusing at best, impossible at worst, particularly since she hadn't had any real contact with him for many years."Oh?" she queried in response to Plu's greeting and wishing he had been the presenter. "You weren't want to greet me so effusively in the 'old days' as I recall," she chided the old Mando somewhat fondly as she seated herself. "I have just now," as he indicated Neassa she nodded in greeting, "Ael Jade, at your service." "In this case, old friend, the rumors have not kept up with the truth. Serrin Roma convinced me to join her, just before she vanished. So, in order to fill a vacuum I was appointed to the Corellian Council, and even that is not the half of it." She raised a hand to signal a passing waiter and lifted a glass filled with tihaar off his tray. She eyed the liquid for a moment before tasting it. As it burned its way down her throat, "I haven't had this since the last time you were on Galantos. Anyway," she continued, "Corellia, and from there...the High Council." She smiled. "And further developments pending." She shrugged ruefully, "It wasn't so much a matter of 'wanting' as a matter of necessity. However, I may shortly be returning to more of my old habits." "What about yourself, you old wolf? I always thought you were not exactly cut out for the cutthroat nature of Mandalorian politics yourself---I was constantly expecting to hear you'd been surreptitiously removed! Coming back to see what the new generation of Mandos is plotting?" She looked up with a smile as Z'har approached, though she wondered if he simply referred to the former Mand'alor as 'buir' in the metaphorical sense. "Z'har, if I didn't know better, I'd swear you were jealous," she tilted her head to one side to contemplate that for just a second, "come to think of it, that look might suit you."

Z'har smiles as he leans back in the chair comfortably.
-Z'har What would I possibly be jealous of? I'm all but surrounded by beautiful women.
There was a slight pause as if he was considering something
-Z'har Well, Beautiful women & one old man. Come to thing of it this actually reminds me of a man named Hugh I knew a while back.

I set my own shot glass down, right side up, on top of Connie's upturned glass, thus starting construction on a delicately balanced pillar. "Of course I'm coming to the afterparty. I wouldn't miss that for anything." I grinned, a devious look coming into my eyes as I turned to follow Connie. Before I left the theatre, I nodded to Ice. "Congrats!" I offered in a stage whisper. Then, echoing Atlantis' peace sign, I made my own exit to the Main Hall, in search of Karana, or Wade, or if I were very lucky, Fel himself.

Galdaart was, as is his usual way, trying to make for a side exit without attracting too much unwanted attention. (why did he have to look for a damn exit, when everyone else in this place seemed able to ZAP in or out at will?) In a short time, he stood at just such an entrance, and looked back over his shoulder to see what remained of the fete.
There were a few pockets of conversation still happening, and more than one drunken fool was speaking too loudly and acting inappropriately (he had done some of that himself not too long ago -- though he couldn't blame his actions on drink.) He caught sight of Liya Tawaza, looking radiant in an ensemble that fit very well, coming out of one of the theatre entryways, searching for something.
He smiled, feeling proud, and knowing that his crew, wherever they were, were in good hands. As the door closed behind him, he wondered what he'd say if they had spoken. Advice? Questions? Or would he just want a hug, as inappropriate as that would be, given the nature of their relationship?
He thought that maybe he would.

Laughing heartily when Plu jokes about the possibility she might be looking to collect a bounty on him, Neassa holds up a hand and reassures him, No need to worry, buir, that's one bounty I'd never even consider pursuing, no matter what reward or how many credits were being offered. I prefer the universe with you in it, or, she laughs, knowing that the more likely outcome of any contest between them would be that she would be the one absent from the universe when the dust settled, with me still in it anyway.
Inclining her head in a respectful nod when Plu introduces her to Jetii Master Jade, Neassa listens to the two talk, always welcoming the opportunity to learn more about her buir and what he has been up to since last they crossed paths since their respective lives don't often provide them as many opportunities to spend time together as they might wish. Smiling in amusement, the expression concealed beneath her buy'ce, when Master Jade's companion refers to her buir as an 'old man', Neassa nods a greeting to him before turning her head to ask Plu, Another old friend of yours, buir?

"And further developments pending." She shrugged ruefully, "It wasn't so much a matter of 'wanting' as a matter of necessity. However, I may shortly be returning to more of my old habits." The old warrior's surprise would have been evident through the Force, although his face was shielded from view. It was true, his intel on Corellia was not as good as it used to be, and almost all of the handful of council members he knew personally had long since departed. "I have a lot of respect for the Jetii of Corellia, and I once fought alongside them, in the old days when the galaxy was aflame with wars, and the Siit anything that moved. They are certainly in most capable hands with your leadership. But the High Council?" He paused audibly. "I would not have predicted you for that role." He took another sip from beneath the edge of his faceplate. "Congratulations, I guess. I hope you enjoy it more than I enjoyed holding the Helm." "What about yourself, you old wolf? I always thought you were not exactly cut out for the cutthroat nature of Mandalorian politics yourself---I was constantly expecting to hear you'd been surreptitiously removed! Coming back to see what the new generation of Mandos is plotting?" The old man laughed heartily. "Me, surreptitiously removed? They certainly tried a few times, but no one had the courage to complete a duel. I left on my own terms, and entrusted the Helm to a more capable leader than I ever was." Whether this was actually true or not was left to the hearers to decide, but Taung had served the vode well, and so had Reyn, when his turn came. Beyond them, Plu's connection to the Mandalorian leadership had waned considerably. But he had continued to watch, from a distance.-Z'har Following Jade to Plu's table, Z'har grabbed one of the seats & settled into it. There were several ways he could great the old man, but Z'har decided to have a bit of fun at the expense of the two Jedi Masters present.
-Z'har Oya Buir, how goes the Unknown Campaign?"Su'cuy, ner'ad." The Aliit'alor of the Or'dinii greeted his nephew. He grinned to himself at the cryptic question. "The campaign has been quite a success of late. The Chiss have been unusually quiet in recent years, but that has allowed me unobstructed access to quite a number of star systems in search of intelligence, without answering a thousand questions from some Force Commander with an overinflated ego." He paused, and glanced at Ael uncertainly before continuing. "I may even have located the plans for the ori'besbe'trayc (superweapon) at last." It didn't really matter if she knew what that word meant or not, either way it was bound to prompt some questions -- and some suspicions. But his project was of benefit to the Jetii as well, whether they knew about it or not.She looked up with a smile as Z'har approached, though she wondered if he simply referred to the former Mand'alor as 'buir' in the metaphorical sense. "Z'har, if I didn't know better, I'd swear you were jealous," she tilted her head to one side to contemplate that for just a second, "come to think of it, that look might suit you." Z'har smiles as he leans back in the chair comfortably.-Z'har What would I possibly be jealous of? I'm all but surrounded by beautiful women. There was a slight pause as if he was considering something-Z'har Well, Beautiful women & one old man. Come to thing of it this actually reminds me of a man named Hugh I knew a while back. There was more laughter from beneath Plu's red bucket. "I take it, Master Jade, that you are familiar with my, what do you call it, nephew, I believe is the term?" He motioned, indicating Zhar, the son of his adopted brother, before turning his attention back to Neassa.Laughing heartily when Plu jokes about the possibility she might be looking to collect a bounty on him, Neassa holds up a hand and reassures him, No need to worry, buir, that's one bounty I'd never even consider pursuing, no matter what reward or how many credits were being offered. I prefer the universe with you in it, or, she laughs, knowing that the more likely outcome of any contest between them would be that she would be the one absent from the universe when the dust settled, with me still in it anyway. "A wise choice, no pile of credits is worth getting chilled." He commented bluntly. Idly, Plu wondered if any of the old bounties for his head on a platter were still valid. There had been some incredible sums offered back in the old days, but he couldn't imagine that anyone had kept those grudges after all these years. Heck, half of his enemies were dead by this point. That is, half of the ones he had allowed to live, had died of other causes by now. If you counted all the ones he'd killed too, well then, the survival rate was pretty poor.Inclining her head in a respectful nod when Plu introduces her to Jetii Master Jade, Neassa listens to the two talk, always welcoming the opportunity to learn more about her buir and what he has been up to since last they crossed paths since their respective lives don't often provide them as many opportunities to spend time together as they might wish. Smiling in amusement, the expression concealed beneath her buy'ce, when Master Jade's companion refers to her buir as an 'old man', Neassa nods a greeting to him before turning her head to ask Plu, Another old friend of yours, buir? "What?" He replied in surprise at her lack of recognition. "Oh, right. That adventure hasn't happened yet, even though it's in the past, as we sit here today." The warrior shook his head slowly in frustration. Plu stuck a hand through the fourth wall and slapped the man pulling his strings from behind a keyboard. That's for not telling my story in a reasonable amount of time -- look how much you've confused my own family members! "This, Neass'ika, is gar'vod (your brother) Z'har Dizen O'rdinii." He motioned as he introduced the pair of cousins. "Z'har, this is ner'ad (my daughter) Neassa Or'dinii." Plu scanned the room as he watched the other guests exiting. The last award had been announced, and the after-party was starting. "Looks like it's time to move if we want the drinks to keep flowing our way." He stood up, and waited for the others to do likewise, motioning for Ael and Neassa to lead the way into the Main Hall.
