Smiling warmly when Ael joins us with her friends, I nod to thank her for her compliment and then say, "And you look as radiant as ever Ael, before leaning towards her to confide sincerely, I really believe that it is you who should have won rather than me, my friend. The night is young, however, I say with a smile, and I believe you are still up for a few awards yet to be announced. I hope to be congratulating you at least once this evening." Not at all surprised by Serrin's reaction as it is completely in character for her, Jade shrugged. "I have reason to be. Serrin have you met Z'har?" she indicated her much taller Zabrak companion. "It's a long story and we've got a lot of catching up to do, but for now, you deserve the award. I am pleased it went to you." Because frankly in her author's opinion, any list with Serrin's name on it should have Serrin at the top. "Doubtless I'll be rejoicing in your good fortune again this evening." She shot a glance over at Plu. It had been many years since the two of them had crossed paths, and in fact she was surprised to see him here, albeit pleasantly so.*Kronos followed Master Jade into the theater. He had reluctantly agreed to attend the event at Master Jade's invitation. To be honest, he wasn't really sure what was going on, but he had dressed nice for the occasion. He wore a black jacket that buttoned to the neck with decorative shoulder plates. A belt went around his waist and a pair of black pants and well polished boots completed the garb.*
*It was being around so many people though that made him uncomfortable. Even when he had been at the Last Dark, he had avoided the crowed and found an isolated seat at the bar. As such, he followed Master Jade quietly and took a seat next to her group, as he tried to figure things out.* Picking up a glass of Corellian Ale from a waiter passing by with a tray, she slid it over in front of Kronos. "Sometimes it helps with the nerves," she quietly told him, attempting to put him at ease and get him to relax in the midst of surroundings that obviously had him ill at ease. *Kronos smiled at the unexpected gift and sipped before quietly saying his thanks. He sipped at the ale. It was nice to having something from home. Although he was enjoying his time with Master Tuhlute, he missed his home. He drank and sat quietly still, but felt less nervous. He felt better enough to talk. He spoke to Ael and Serrin - he did not know her, so it was a big deal to say something.* "Good luck to both of you." *Kronos smiled, but spoke with some nervousness in his voice.*

Between announcements on stage, a tall slender woman dressed in a golden gown that was fitted throughout the bodice and flowing down to her ankles slipped into the theater. Her aide pointed her to a table that had been reserved for members of the Senate. She nodded and made her way there, seating herself gracefully in a seat with a good view of the stage and crossed one leg over the other, revealing a long slit in the heavy fabric of her dress. The lights in the room glinted off silver embroidery and the sheen of her hair, fashioned into an elaborate updo that left a few strands curling down behind her right ear. She smiled at those nearby and signaled a passing waiter for a glass of lavender-hued Veronian berry wine as she settled in to watch the proceedings.

Jade had barely finished congratulating Serrin upon her award for Best Non-Human, when Galdaart Fel took the stage and announced both herself and Serrin as winners of Best Lightsider. She flashed a glance at Kronos, then at Z'har, before leaning over to Serrin.
"That's us," she whispered, more excited than she ever would have actually admitted. Her author incredibly pleased to have tied with Serrin. (In fact, my job is now done, I can retire from JvS. XD)
The petite Jedi got to her feet and waited for her friend before heading up to the stage, not about to go without her. She was pleased that Serrin was alive and well after her long absence from Corellia, and this was just the icing on top of the proverbial cake so to speak.

*Morgan's attention returned to the stage when Best Duo was announced. This one she felt a little more strongly about than Best Female, mainly because if she had won, it meant one of her best friends would have won as well. Unfortunately, they didn't win, and she didn't know who the winners were. She let out a small sigh but otherwise clapped, enjoying the company of those around her.
Then Best Lightsider was announced, and to her surprise that was another tie, just like Best Male. And one of the winners, once more, was Master Roma! Excitedly, Morgan found herself glomping Master Roma in a congratulatory hug, beaming up at her.* Congrats Master Roma! That's two now!

Smiling with a nod when Mace explains that the badges and club are an inside joke of some kind, I say, "Ah, well, once I'm in on the joke as well perhaps I'll adopt the badge. Looking from Mace to Ael when my old friend asks if I have met her companion, I shake my head and say, I do not believe I've had the pleasure as yet. It is always nice, I tell Z'har with a warm smile, to meet any friend of Ael's. From their interactions I get the feeling that Ael and Z'har are quite possibly more than mere friends, but trust I'll learn whether or not that is so in due time. We do have a great deal of catching up to do, I agree with Ael, and I'm sure we'll find the time to do so sometime soon."
"Thank you, I smile and tell Kronos when he wishes Ael and I well, and then, not long afterwards, laugh and nod to agree when Ael informs me that the winners of the award that has been announced are us, which is an honor I shall cherish always. So it is," I say, standing up and gesturing with a bow for Ael, who has been an inspiration to me as far back as when I was but a Padawan and JvS a mere Facebook app, to lead the way to the stage so that she can speak first.
Turning to receive the congratulatory hug from Morgan with a smile, I pat her on the back gently as I say, "Thank you very much Morgan," and then continue to follow Ael to the stage. . .

So, buir, Neassa says, lifting a gloved hand to gesture towards Plu, you must tell me all about what you've been up to, are up to, and are planning to get up to. Having ditched the Qui-Gon Jinn outfit before returning to his seat, the Mando'ad was one more dressed in his dress suit and bucket."Well, ad'ika, it would take me weeks to tell you 'all' about it." He smiled behind his faceplate. "And I don't actually know all the details yet myself, in some cases." Since they had not yet been written out, and his timeline was in a great deal of turmoil until those adventures were set down in writing. For all Neassa or he knew, she might end up being heavily involved in some of the adventures that he did know about, not to mention the ones which had not yet been revealed. "But I have been continuing my training program for the next generation of the Or'dinii, raising up and training Mando'ade warriors just as I trained you. And I have continued our project to map out the Unknown Regions. We have made several important acquisitions of Thrawn-era maps and navigation data in recent months, and we are slowly reconstructing everything that was lost when the Empire of the Hand collapsed. I have been to Nirauan, and Kariek, and some of the nameless worlds of my childhood." The old mando paused, his tone becoming reflective. "I would like to think that we are getting closer to building a lasting military confederation to defend our families and children from external threats, but even if that goal is never achieved, the mission has proven invaluable experience for the young warriors of our Aliit." Leaning back in his chair, he signaled to a passing member of the wait staff to bring him another mug of tihaar, before refocusing on Neassa. "And what about you? What mischief has your crew been committing?"

Moments after the arrival of the Senator from Yavin, another member of the Republic's delegation made his way over the table reserved in their names. Dmitri was wearing a slick three-piece black suit, with a dark green shirt and and a black tie decorated with silver diamonds, and his trademark military-style black leather boots. His brown hair had been freshly cut into a crew cut (a bit shorter than his usual style), and overall he was dressed more for formality than flair, aside from a rather large gold lapel pin, embossed with the Senate seal. Setting down a glass of the finest Whyren's Reserve Corellian whiskey and pulling out the chair next to Zarine, he took a seat beside his fellow Senator."You look amazing." The Corellian commented in a low voice, grinning broadly.

....and the winner is...."Ali slide a fingernail under the upper flap on the envelope and pulled the lower flap down. Raising an eyebrow at the elegant bold script, written in basic and aurebesh, emblazoned on the fancy schmancy paper. "Well folks, it seems we have another tie. The winners are Lord Ifrit and Lyov Entin! Congratulations Gentlemen!"Ali applauded, along with the crowd, then took her leave of the stage so the guys could make their acceptance speeches if they wished to do so. Jud overheard his name being announced and only stirred slightly from his alcohol induced slumber as the winnersessses names were announced.
"Two?" Jud asked himself, then shrugged and stood up.

Lucy laughs when Lyra shows off her acting chops with an almost convincing performance as the daughter kept locked away from the world by the father with attachment issues. "Lil' bit, you should be on the stage, Lucy tells her with a lop-sided grin. You do need to work on getting your dad out and about more though, that whole locked away behind his castle walls things was just a bit on the nose, between you and me. Clapping for the various awards winners as they are announced, Lucy gives Lyra a fist bump when she heads off to give Forcias his seat back. Reaching over to punch Forcias in the shoulder when he says that he isn't good at speeches, Lucy grins and teases him, We know dope, we know. After leaning over to give him a kiss, Lucy smiles and says sincerely, You actually did great dope. I was all proud and everything. Really. When Lyov and Lord Ifrit are announced as the winners of the Best Darksider aware, Lucy tells the Epicanthix, Congratulations! Tilting her head to the side inquisitively, Lucy asks, Wait, he's a Darksider? Since when? Why didn't anyone tell me?"
When Raan answers her question by telling her how perceptive she is, Elikapeka looks at him skeptically, as though trying to divine what is that he is trying to hide by distracting her with flattery. When he goes on to say that she's possessed such perceptiveness for as long as he's known her, Elika's expression becomes somewhat confused briefly as she has the impression that he is referring to a longer period of time than just since they met on Umgul; but as that idea makes no sense since, so far as her memory is concerned, she has only known him since meeting him on Umgul when he had hired her to do some architectural design work. Laughing when he mentions the feel of the muscles in her arms, Elika looks down at her arms with a skeptical frown, supposing that maybe, if one was feeling generous, they might look a teeny bit more muscular, which is probably just a case of looking in one's dream as they'd like to look since she knows she'll have to do a far better job of sticking to her workout reg. . . Narrowing her eyes suspiciously, suddenly sure that Raan had been trying to distract her from her thoughts, Elika sighs, realizing that he has also succeeded, if that was his intent, since she has no idea what she had been thinking about before he distracted her with the comment.
Nodding with a only slightly playful yes you certainly do arching of her left eyebrow when Raan suggests that he owes her an apology, Elika's expression softens when, a bit later, he describes how he feels out of place among his friends after having found himself forced by circumstance to spend so long away from them. Ignoring, for now, Raan's efforts to try and change the subject by asking about Delaana and Lyov, Elika rests her hand comfortingly on his shoulder after he has finished speaking and meets his eyes unflinchingly as she says with equal measures of stern sincerity and gentleness, "Raan, no matter how long it is you might find that your life keeps you from spending time with your friends, you should know that you'll never not have a place among them. We'll always be there for you when you need us, Ok? Ok. Pointing at him while trying to keep using a stern tone despite her smile, Elika says, I don't want to hear anything else about feeling out of place or not having the right to be here. I seem to recall that, were it not for you, some of us wouldn't be here to begin with, so you're really just being ridiculous. Joking to try and lighten the mood, Elika reminds him, Atlantis is the drama queen, remember? Don't mix up the roles again. Putting her arm around his shoulders to give him a quick hug, Elika tells him, I'm glad we have that all settled now," even though she's intelligent enough to know that it won't necessarily be quite so simple to make Raan feel like he's regained his footing or equilibrium.
Releasing Raan from the hug, Elika rests her elbows on the ledge of the balcony, crossing her arms as, after laughing when he reminds her of the time they were mistaken for a married couple, she smiles and admits, "I think I missed Lyov's question about how long we've known each other actually. That's the gentleman's name, Elika crinkles her nose and says, which you had probably already figured out. Looking over at Raan with an inquisitive expression, Elika asks a bit more searchingly than intended, Why would I tell him anything other than that we met when I came to Umgul? Shaking her head, the question close enough to searching for those memories she has had closed from her to make the defenses put in place around them create a momentary sense of confusion that makes her forget what she had been thinking about, Elika looks confused for a moment before, thinking she is resuming where she had left off, she says, As for that lovely lady you saw me with, rather than listen to me babble about her, why don't we go back in so you can meet her for yourself? Or, she looks at him with an eyebrow arched in amusement as much as in slight apprehension, is this the part of the dream where you give me a cryptic warning of some kind?"

Laughing when Zion suggests that Soap Opera needs its own badge, Lyov says, "Maybe someone needs to make an Elitist Soap Opera badge?" Zion winked to Lyov as he also chuckled=Zion Morviael=I'll be all over that soon enough... "Ah Zion, I do not know you, but please tell your writer great job for this event, also is your author still trying to get it on with a particular someone? Glancing at Kayne, since I have heard all of that story high and low, I look back at the man with an amused grin as I jokingly inform him. It's no use, I would know since I have tried." Zion then turned his attention to Lily, quite certain his writer didn't need the praise past onto him, but he gave a nod all the same, before addressing her next question=Zion Morviael=Eh, my writer likes challenges, the more difficult they are, the harder they are to resist, apparently. Maybe you two should put your heads together and work out what hasn't worked, and then see what he can try next... He nodded a few times but then he stopped nodding altogether when she mentioned namanas, his jaw dropped and he looked at her with wide eyes. "No, no, no not the namanas!" His voice was strained, there was a table right there, and any surface, that could be turned into a dance floor by Crystal and even Lily...
"Asstralian! If they start dancing on the table, I will blame you for that, why did you have to pick an ASoT event?!" his attention was soon drawn to Jerkthro, his bromance for life, and laughed at his suggestion=Zion Morviael=Hey, I'm sorry that my timing was so ELITE that the Sithies landed on the same weekend as the ASOT Festival in Utrecht! plus, the ladies seem to not mind... And what are you blaming me for... Suddenly he was cut off as he was called to the stage as one of the three winners for Best Overall=Zion Morviael=Hold that thought....

Sitting back down after making his acceptance speech, Lyov tells Zion, Ael and Ice, "Congratulations to you all! Sure that he has missed congratulating some of the other winners that have been announced while his author has been afk, Lyov lifts a glass and proposes a toast to try and make up for not having been able to congratulate them earlier, To all of tonight's winners, and to an excellent evening at the Sithies!"

*A three-way tie for Overall?! That was more insane than the three two-way ties... Or was it four? He lost count. Part of him wondered how it would have gone if some of those ties had been broken... But then the other part wondered if that could have just made the ties even greater and he figured it was probably for the best it stayed this way. Jake had won his award, and it was a shame Morgan hadn't picked one up either, but soon, he was sure of it. And as much as he wasn't too concerned about winning Sithies...
... he'd get that coveted Overall prize someday.
He did the usual, clapped, said his words of congratulations, and generally continued to be boring because it was hard keeping up with so many alts at the Sithies, along with NPCs. Unless someone else came to say hi, that'd be cool, but generally the more goofy characters were taking precedence cuz they were more interesting to write or something.
Kumquats.*

"My Papa," Lyra had said to Lucy, "Has what's known as a flair for the dramatic!" This was in response to Lucy's remark about Raan's behavior being a bit on the nose. Rolling her eyes, she added, "I'm working on changing that aspect of him, so I'll keep you posted. Deal?" It was only then that she had bumped fists with her bestie, going as far as winking as she returned to her Aunt Mace. Assuming that her Godmother was, of course, available. Before doing this, Lyra looked in the general direction of the balcony to see if her Father was done stealing the Lady Hekekia from her significant other. Honestly, she needed to have word with her Father when they got home tonight.
It was scary and ironic how the Jade family had a tendency of being on the same wavelength — only to an extent — and had Lyra realized that her Father had thought the same thing about having talks when they got home, she probably would have laughed at that very moment.
We find Jade the Father still at the balcony with his treasured friend (Elikapeka certainly didn't know how much she was treasured at the time being), and as he listened to Elika telling him that he would never lose his place amongst friends, a mix of sternness and sincerity in her tone as she pointed out that she never wanted to hear any of that 'I don't belong' business from him. He wasn't sure whether he was being scolded or not, but he did welcome the hug that followed. It wasn't as if he didn't already know these things — oh, he knew. However, hearing them, especially from Elika, was reassuring. When she finally released him, he cleared his throat and looked away from her for just a moment to rub his eyes in what he claimed to be his 'allergies acting up' — Raan Jade, even as a sickly child, had never suffered from allergies.
"Umm . . . Thank you, Peka." He turned to look at her again, a sheepish smile gracing his lips. "Thank you for putting the fear of the heavens in me and showing me why I should never share my —" The look he got from her caused him to raise his hands and take a few steps back as he playfully said, "Alright. Okay, I won't go there."
He could have gone on to tell her that it meant a lot to him to hear her say those things, and especially for not rolling her eyes at him and wondering what was wrong with him at the moment. Raan might have even told her that hearing those words had made him forget about the last few months and it just felt as though he had never left . . . be he didn't need to say of that to her. No. Just looking at her would suffice, for as good as Raan was at communicating with just his eyes, Elika was an expert at reading people — especially him. It was a good thing that she wasn't consciously aware of this though.
As Elika ventures into the Lyov topic (to which he had calmly nodded to confirm that, yes, he had figured out who the gentleman was . . .and any lingering doubts had definitely been cleared when he won one of the nomination categories), he became aware of her seeking for an answer she may not have realized that she was even looking for. Once again reminded that he was triggering her memory a lot faster than he had meant to. When asked what else he thought Elika might have told Lyov as far as how they met, Raan gave her a reassuring smile as he said, "Oh, I was just curious. You see, I seem to recall our meeting being different." He narrowed his eyes at her for a moment, "So it helps to see how you perceived our very first encounter." Noticing the confusion that was beginning to appear in her expression, he added, "First time I met you, you had this cape on and shot lasers from your eyes. Let me tell you it was quite a scene to behold. So there you were in all your glo—" He stopped there as he noticed a familiar Andros-like scowl appearing on her face. "Too much, huh?" Hopefully that was enough to make her forget about this. Raan had actually wanted to know how much Lyov's question might have caused Elike to . . . actually think about when it was that they first met. If she had done so, it might have opened up memories he did not want to venture into quite yet.
It was then that he mimicked her and raised his own eyebrow when asked if this was to be the part where he was about to give her a cryptic warning. "You know, Peka, I wasn't planning on it at all. Nope." He grinned and looked to the night sky for just a moment. "Don't tell me that you were expecting one of those now, were you?" Closing his eyes as he felt the wind blow, he said, "It's not like I had a scary message for you along the lines of . . .Beware." At that moment, the wind had stopped blowing, and an eerie silence fell upon them.
"Beware, Elikapeka daughter of Maleko." Raan's voice had deepened, sounding almost different, as if it did not belong to him. "Beware for he is coming. He who shall take that which you treasure most whilst earning you trust. That which you truly think that you know is but an illusion, and the truth, shrouded in darkness, cries for you to set it free. Fear not the Dark . . ." As he stood his full six-and-six height, a shadow was cast upon his face, hiding it from Elika's view. The only thing she could make out were his green eyes which had a glow about them. He took a step towards her, "For hidden in this darkness, is the guardian who stands between you," And another step, " . . .and he who seeks to destroy you world." With the third step, Raan had closed what little distance had remained between them, "Beware! For this foe's name is . . ."
It was only then that Raan placed a hand on Elika's shoulder and stepped out of the shadows, coughing only long enough to make her realize that he was actually chuckling, all pretense gone as he said, "No. Acting is not my thing, if Lyra had done it she would have been a lot more convincing!"
Hoping to get off the balcony in one piece if Elika ever forgave him for that little display, he took her hand and said, "Thank you, Peka." He did not need to say why, for she would know. "Now then, I believe that there was a lovely lady you wanted me to meet?" As he said this, he led her away from the balcony and back into the theater. "Besides, I think I might have seen my daughter eying a suspicious looking glass in a manner that made me uncomfortable — please don't ask." He grinned at her, feeling a lot better than he had when he first came to the balcony.
Was tonight's cryptic message/warning just another one of Raan's terrible jokes? Well . . . who knew? It wasn't like he had green eyes that could glow in the dark now, was it? That would have been . . .absurd. Even for a dream, as Elika claimed this to be. Right?

"OH C'MON!!!! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE PULL A KANYE?! Franz looked at the stage and laughed soon enough because it would have been amusing if someone with a devious mind would have pulled that, although completely unnecessary in his opinion but still the fun in all of that and then mayhaps beating the crap out of Kanye look alike, that would have been fun.
"Congratulations everyone and hello to those that I did not say hello to." Author has been afk, too much working during the weekend, everyone would understand yaddaa yaddaa and then he looked at the badges from Umgul team and shook his head as he snorted a laugh.
"If I didn't know you lot personally, I would have said that you all fell on your head, but considering I do know you, well love the sarcastic vibe, and I heard that it was the Metrosexual dude that pulled it first; well... Yeah Andros, the real life jokester of the group at least RL. Any moments he could get to mock himself, he'd do it...
But anyways, this is just the author dropping by quickly and say hello to the crew and everyone else because he currently has to go to work.
That said, after party, that should be interesting to watch from afar.

*After returning from the stage from his speech and smiling at and thanking those who congratulated him, Jake rejoined Lana's side, trophy in his hands, still looking a little sheepish after that. He was quite proud of himself for winning, to be sure, but he could have done much better on the speech. He should've prepared one... Well no, he shouldn't have, that would have been a little cocky and he didn't expect he'd have won anyway. But regardless, he was happy.
He looked at Lana for a moment; he'd seen events in the past, not just the Sithies, where an award winner would go back to their significant other and kiss them... Wait, why was he thinking about that right now?! He and Lana weren't really anything other than friends! But he did like her... He extended an arm toward her, daring to be brave...
... then chickened out and only put it around her in a hug, grinning nervously. Chances are if he'd have gone through with it he'd have probably screwed it up anyway, and if not, what would Lana have even thought of that? Yeah, stick with a hug... it was okay... "You're only nine anyway, ya little player," his author reminded him.* Where Jake's author was concerned about the lad's age, Lana's author suffered from the opposite problem. He had no idea how old the AI really was. She was made seven years ago, modeled after the brain of an 18-year-old, and programmed to be a nine-year-old. Figuring out what her actual maturity should be would have been a lot of work. Like.. a lot of work. Figuring out if she would have actually aged would be a lengthy process. Finally, he was just going to settle on the fact that she could age herself at will. Otherwise, she would have the personality of a 16-year-old from being activated seven years ago. It was a lot of math, a lot of theory, and a lot of speculation.
He was confident in his "aging at will" theory, because let's face it, calculating the personal growth of an advanced artificial intelligence was not something that a barista should attempt at 2:30 in the morning.
That being said, we bring the topic back to Lana's author not caring about the fact that she was only nine. Or ten. Or whatever. Which brings us to the actual events of this post, and not just a self-perpetuating monologue that I frankly could keep typing on repeat ad infinitum. Blah blah blah, blah blah, this one's for you, Aedon, blah blah blah OKAY MOVING ON."Hey, Jake?" She had read up on the same events as he had, and she knew about customs and such. She waited a brief moment for Jake to turn back to face her, then held out her hand."Congratulations." As soon as he took her hand, which she knew he would, she pulled him in, once again not caring about age, and planted one on him..

*As Jake had intended to focus on the awards and possibly find something to do with Lana, she suddenly said his name. When he turned to look at her and her offered hand, he seemed a little confused as she congratulated him. Offering a handshake as a congratulations? Well, he supposed that was fine, though a little odd, so he smiled and took her hand.
Then was pulled in.
Then their lips made contact.
His eyes shot open so wide they could have popped out of his head. For all of a moment, before his arms wrapped around her and he reciprocated the kiss. When he pulled back, he stared at her in awe for a moment, then grinned somewhat lopsidedly.* Th-thanks... *He suddenly thought he felt something, as though some higher force had given up, before Jake looked around the theater again. Had anyone seen that?! He suddenly felt a little embarrassed, loosening his arms so that he wasn't so close to her and eventually standing beside her with one arm around her, smiling sheepishly. Not that he hadn't been opposed to it at all... he quite liked it actually...
The awards went on and on, but, unfortunately, it seemed he was the only Calmcacil to be winning any awards today. Now he felt a little bad for that... Though he knew they would still cheer him and say it was nothing. But all the awards were handed out now, and the afterparty was soon to begin back in the main hall. That ought to have been fun... He smiled and removed his arm from Lana, taking her hand instead and starting to lead her back to the main hall.* Well, let's go, s-... sw-... sweetie... *His face now as red as a beet, he led the way back to the main hall.*
