The Room of a Thousand Fountains was a large greenhouse located at the base of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Containing waterfalls and huge amounts of flora, meditative areas, pottery, and stone walkways, the chamber served as a meditative retreat for the members of the Jedi Order while staying in the Temple.

This room was Nemo's first stop in the Temple. He had just spent several days on board his ship and then he was on Coruscant, a planet devoid of nature. The Living Force flowed more freely in this room and it calmed Nemo, allowed him to meditate much more productively.
He walked around for a bit to begin with to pick out a rather secluded spot to sit for a while. It was near one of the waterfalls in the room where he found a nice empty patch of grass on which to sit. He crossed swiftly to somewhere near the middle of the small lawn and crossed his legs as he sat. His arms stretched out to his sides and then relaxed with a hand on each knee. Nemo closed his eyes as he slowed his breathing down to attune to the Force.

Clear ones mind must be to perforate the fabric of lies and pierce the shadowy veil, darkness was everywhere Yawrrik felt it like a cold wet flannel and it stifled everything; Concentrate, focus, discipline. To permeate the dark side was a dangerous game, these were dangerous times and many hands were moving swiftly, he, he was but one man, and could one Jedi truly make a difference, no, not one Jedi, not one at least who obeyed the rules, but rule benders, men like him who didn't mind getting their hands dirty, beings who had certain skills and could stomach it, beings who could infiltrate and assassinate. Those few who could were few indeed and as far as Yarrik was aware he was the last of a virtually dead breed, specially trained, perceptive and deadly. His sole purpose was to see what the Jedi could not and dispose, eliminate or at the worst reduce the threats that even the Order could not see.
Eyes closed the swirls and whorls of the force moved around him, the movement would stop briefly as he tested what he sought with his minds eye and then his mind would roam once more, furtively he sought, cataloged and analysed.

Shortly after leaving the infirmary, Jade and Nik Arreni, the Zeltron Knight, entered the Room of a Thousand Fountains. The Councilor was not yet certain if there were in fact, one thousand literal fountains, though she had counted up to 473 different sections of the area so far. One day, she would finish that task, but at the moment more pressing matters were uppermost in her mind. Right now specifically, she was thinking about the task she had just set Terra, a seemingly routine, although by no means less dangerous, intel mission. But it was going to be much more than that. Due to the nature of what Terra Kiros was going to be leading others into, it was almost certain she was going to face both her Trial of Courage and also her Trial of Flesh. This would leave her with only the most difficult of the Trials remaining: the Trial of Spirit. Relatively soon, Jade hoped to be recommending Terra in front of the Council for her Knighting ceremony. It would be yet another link in a long tradition of Jedi history, and perhaps it would provide some reassurance in the face of the recent declaration of a new Emperor.
Avoiding the more populated areas of the room, Jade and Nik arrived at a fountain overshadowed by a couple tall fir trees and around the base of which grew some varicolored orchids. In the pool that collected the splashing water, a few brightly colored fish swam about.
Jade seated herself gracefully on a stone bench hard by the fountain and motioned for Nik to seat himself as well. They were close enough to the falling water, that it would be obvious if someone was trying to eavesdrop upon their conversation.

Nik followed the lead of the ranking Jedi easily enough, though he was a touch concerned about why she wanted to speak to him alone, as in se.parately from Terra. He wondered if the padawan had informed her Master of what had occurred between the two of them, perhaps she had even asked the Councilor for advice or aid. He hoped that Terra would speak to him openly, but he was not sure where he stood with her at this time, thanks to the inopportune reappearance of the one called Ralph, or more specifically the interruption that had taken place of their meeting in training room two. He still felt annoyed about that, though the recollection did call a blush to his face, deepening the pink hue of his skin tone.
The Zeltron slipped into the seat the diminutive Jedi female motioned him to and ran a hand through his hair. It did not help matters, instead having the effect of making his thick auburn hair a bit more unruly. He liked this place though, it was beautiful and happy and peaceful. This soothed his soul. The Zeltron's empathic ability to feel the emotions of others was often overwhelming. Not as much as it used to be since he had become a Jedi. His Master had helped him shield himself from others to a degree. But it did not always work and sometimes he was left feeling dizzy.
Tugging his green vest straight, he looked over at the woman, and meaning no disrespect inquired, "You wished to speak with me, Councilor?" He was unsure whether to address her as Master, since she was Terra's padawan, or as Councilor since that was her position within the Order at large. He decided on the more formal tone until he had some idea about where this was going.

"Yes, I do," she replied, noting the brief flicker of uncertainty in his address. Jade smiled briefly, "While Terra has not confided in me regarding you, I am not blind. The tension between you earlier was almost thick enough to cut with a knife. I wish your word that whatever is going on," she hesitated, aware of Terra's relationship with Ralph as her padawan had informed her of such before they had left Corellia, "will not distract either of you in the upcoming raid on the alchemy lab."
She paused long enough to know that he was in agreement with the point she was making before continuing. The older Master knew that Nik was what would be classified as handsome and desirable in a companion by most younger females, particularly in conjunction with the biochemical advantage of being a Zeltron. She held none of this against him. Zeltrons did not generally confine themselves to one partner, and if her padawan was seeking relaxation and companionship with him, that was her business. Jade would only interfere if it was detrimental to Terra's ability to perform well in her Trials.
"More specifically, Niklas, I want you to know that what I have done with Terra in placing her in charge of this mission, is put her in the way of completing one, possibly two, of her remaining three Trials. I wish you to watch her, advise her if she desires it, but let her lead. Report to me afterwards. If anything goes drastically wrong, I want to know immediately."
She laced her fingers together, placing them on top of her right knee with her legs currently crossed. Green eyes contemplated the Zeltron's own, set off further by the emerald of his fitted outer vest. While not traditional, Jade admitted that it suited him and gave those around him something to look at. Also, she gave him her own private comlink frequency in order to facilitate communications.
"Without delving into her past, as that would be up to her to confide in you, I suspect this trip will prove challenging. The trap that Anshara mentioned, I suspect may in fact be for Terra Kiros. I have no wish for anyone to be killed, but it is time for Terra to more fully realize the responsibilities and challenges that fall to Knights within the Order."
The diminutive female knew that she had made herself clear as well as explaining why a padawan was in command instead of Niklas himself, a Knight already. There was no sense in leaving things muddy enough that offense could be taken. She doubted he would have done so, but as much as was possible, she preferred to be fair and aboveboard. Her teaching style had required adaptation from Terra, in that she was much different from Serrin. One of the first times they had trained together, the younger woman had been surprised and thrown off balance by Jade's peremptory commands. However, that had quickly been sorted to the satisfaction ultimately of both parties. And Terra was still alive and still a Jedi. In Jade's books, this counted as a definite victory, she reflected with a touch of sadness as she looked down at the second lightsaber she carried: the longer hilted, burned one that had once belonged to a very close friend.
"I will not be physically present, as I wish Terra to operate fully on her own, without believing that she has myself to fall back upon. However, I will be watching, and if there is extreme necessity, then, and only then, will I step in.

The Zeltron Knight nodded acquiescence, palpably relieved as Master Jade confirmed that Terra had not in fact spoken to her of what had passed between the two of them. While he was a little annoyed over her lack of decisiveness, he was smart enough to realize that he had confused her with an offer that she wanted and yet was a little scared of. Particularly if this Ralph person was someone that she cared about. While a single partner was very unusual for a Zeltron, he'd heard that this was more normal for humans and if Terra was inhibited by that point of view then her confusion was understandable. However, if he had been Ralph, he would not have left Terra on her own like she had seemingly been, with the opportunity ripe for someone else to cash in on.
However, he understood the seriousness of what was happening. Green eyes flashed as he looked over at the smaller, though by no means lacking in authority, woman sitting near him on the bench.
"You have my word. I wish Terra Kiros the best of fortunes in her Trials, and may her Knighting ceremony take place as soon as is feasible."
In light of the information he had just received he wished that he had been able to find out more about Terra and her past, in case this actually turned out to be a trap for her. Though, the ramifications of that unsettled him since it would mean that someone had been watching her for a long time, someone who knew her well. He would definitely stay alert.
The atmosphere of this place soothed the Zeltron's soul. He was at peace here and it calmed him. It was much better than the jostling crowds of Coruscant with their petty concerns and uncertainties and fears and pains. Every so often he retreated into solitude to get away from the feelings of others pressing in upon him.
Nik accepted Jade's comlink frequency, keying it into his preset comlink settings in case of an emergency. He fully understood the reasons behind her seeming distance from Terra during this phase of her testing, but he also would make sure the padawan survived. If he had to, he would call for help and end her Trials, to save her life so that she could try again in the future. He didn't expect to have to do that, but it was a possibility that he was aware of.
He turned to Jade, "I am honored that you would choose me to help in this capacity. And I will see that this is carried out. Whoever is behind all this needs to be stopped, and Force aiding us, we will make that happen."

"You assistance in this matter is appreciated, Nik."
Jade rose gracefully to her feet, even as she thanked him. Holding out a gloved hand, she gripped his own in a firm clasp for a moment and then headed away back towards the Temple proper. She'd been notified of a parcel from Corellia arriving for her eyes only, and her business here was finished.

The Zeltron Knight nodded understanding and agreement, also rising as she did. He gripped her hand for a moment, marveling at the strength he felt as it was not something one would automatically assume from her physical appearance, and then watched her leave.
He paced up and down next to the fountain they had been sitting near, thinking on what she'd said and how it related to Terra. He hoped she passed with flying colors. Also, he wanted to talk to her. Tugging his green vest straighter he ran a hand through his hair and flicked an invisible speck of dust off his sleeve. Stepping over to the fountain he plunged his hands into the cool water and then held them up to his face. The tingling feeling was relaxing as well as invigorating. Spying a small flower that he hadn't noticed before he looked around and saw that it cropped up in several places that he could see from here.
He sighed a small sigh, wondering if Terra had seen this place yet, and then headed off to see if he could find her.

He crossed swiftly to somewhere near the middle of the small lawn and crossed his legs as he sat. His arms stretched out to his sides and then relaxed with a hand on each knee. Nemo closed his eyes as he slowed his breathing down to attune to the Force. As the Room of a Thousand Fountains was Jade's favorite spot within the Coruscant Temple, she could often be found here. However, this was not a pleasure visit. She had read Nalatua'lin's message, and then accessed the contents of the datastick she had sent along with it via her datapad. The information contained therein was disturbing if accurate. After some thought on how best to address the situation, she had reached out in the Force to determine who was where within the Temple. In doing this, she'd discovered that Nemo was in the Room of a Thousand Fountains meditating. Normally she would not have intruded, however, these were not normal circumstances.
The diminutive Jedi Master walked silently across the grass towards him, datapad tucked under her left elbow. Gently, she brushed his Force presence with her own aura and waited for him to float up out of meditation.
When he did so, she bowed at the waist."Master Nemo, correct?"

Nemo was meditating peacefully, the image in his mind was of a calming place, large grassy meadows on an unspecific world. In this dream-like world the Jedi Master was walking slowly, taking in the feeling of a gentle breeze whisping around him and the sunlight from the glowing red sun. He walked for what seemed like hours until something odd happened, a being appeared within his world. This being was different to the grass, the wind, the sun and the far off mountains, she was somehow more real. Nemo paused and looked over the appearance of Ael Jade, having never met her before he was curious. He spent what felt like three minutes inspecting the Jedi Master however whichever way he walked the image stayed facing him, most odd. Then he began to feel her presence close to him and he realised why she was in his meditation.
"I'm surprised anyone still knows that name." He said and he rose and opened his eyes. Once he was stood at full height, not a very impressive five foot eleven inches, he bowed in the direction of the Jedi Councillor. "Good morning Master Jade, how are you today?"
He sensed something of intent around the short female, she was probably here to ask something of Nemo. This was not hard to guess, nobody sought out Nemo unless they wanted him to do something for them. That feeling combined with the datapad under the Jedi's arm, a sure fire sign that something was up. Nemo only ever carried his shield and sabre in the open and he found that was true of many Jedi, minus the shield of course. Something carried openly by a Jedi meant something was not quite the way it should be.

"The universe is full of surprises, isn't it, Master Nemo?" The shorter female (standing at a whopping five feet, five inches) replied dryly as a thin smile curved her lips for just a second. Somehow she managed to give the impression of looking straight at him, despite the height differential between the two of them.
"I am well, yourself?" she inquired politely. "My apologies for summoning you from wherever you were." She was meaning in meditation, as physically he was right there in front of her.
Aware that he was waiting to find out exactly why she had approached him, she preambled the essence of why she was here with, "If you are not too busy, the Order could use your assistance in determining the reliability or otherwise of a recent report that has arrived on Coruscant." Green eyes flashed in the light as she examined his appearance while waiting for an answer.

"The Galaxy is definitely full of wonders Master Jade."
He flashed a brief smile at some of the amazing things he had encountered in the galaxy. However this was quickly wiped from his face as his mind turned quickly to the more sinister nature of parts of the galaxy. Nemo had vast experience with those parts, the pain and destruction still haunt his dreams from time to time.
"I am well thank you and no need to apologise for the interruption, I have been meditating too much recently. I spent a short while on Honoghr doing nothing but meditating."
And now to the crux of the matter, the task at hand. Nemo had already surmised that the news was bad, a prominent member of the Jedi Council was standing in front of him and carrying a datapad no less. However, the talk of a report and a question mark over the source leads Nemo to one conclusion, it must be bad news of the violence variety. He doubted the Council would send him to investigate a petty dispute, this prompted more questions.
"So, where did the report come from and when can I read it?"

"Ah, and is there any news from the Honoghrian Enclave?" she inquired as he stated he'd recently arrived from there. However, even that matter, though she was interested in the well-being of the Order as a whole did not distract her from the reason she had approached him in the first place.
She passed him her datapad so he could see the arms lists, news reports, and videos of unrest on Corulag that Nalatua'lin had forwarded along from Five. She folded her arms in front of herself before attempting to answer his question.
"Corulag. The information you are looking at was traded to the Corellian Academy for aid in another unrelated matter. The Master who sent me this has some reservations about this entire arrangement, but if Corulag is planning to leave the Republic, the Senate should be informed. What I wish to know, what the Council needs to know, is whether this," she tapped the datapad, "is accurate. This is not a time when 'fire' should be heedlessly called. There are those who already are given to panicking and the situation does not yet call for that."

"The Temple on Honghr seems quiet, though I spent most of my time their in my room med..."
He stopped mid-sentence as he read the report, disturbing news indeed. Lord Sinistra had made the core world of Kuat her capital but most of the other Empire holdings were confined to the Rim. If Corulag joined the Empire it would be disastrous for the Republic and the Core worlds. Corulag was a financially lucrative world and was the base for many successful interstellar companies. If the Empire added Corulag's wealth to their portfolio it would be a significant gain for them.
"If this report is accurate then it is dire news indeed. I shall go to Corulag and investigate the situation personally however I would not want to enter a situation like this alone. Can you tell me where I might find the Council of Reassignment, are they still based in Northeast tower?"

"That is where it ought to be," Jade replied with a smile. "Thinking of taking on a padawan?" She approved of this, as it meant that eventually if all went well, another knight would be added to the ranks of the Order. Corulag would be a rougher first mission for a master and padawan to forge a bond over, but with the political situation as it was, there really wasn't time to politely ease someone into the responsibilities of the Jedi Order.
"While there you might find Sto'Vo'Kor. He is good with a blade and if anything goes wrong, an ally anyone would be glad to have at their side." The Coynite Guardian would probably be pleased with the possibility, and Jade wouldn't put it past him to secretly wish for a fight. Although, he would not jeopardize the mission in order to create such a turn of events. His presence might increase the chance of success on the part of the Order and the Republic, reassuring the population of Corulag that they were a valued part of the Republic and dissuading any revolutionaries who might be pushing for leaving the Republic and joining the Empire.

"I am indeed thinking of taking on a Padawan. It has been far too long since I trained my last one and I have been travelling alone for long enough. Is it ok if I keep this?"
Nemo had finished reading the report and held out the datapad, offering it back to Master Jade. He would like to read the report again as well as go over it with anyone he was taking with him but he could get a copy later if he needed. He was a little nervous about taking on a new padawan, he was right, it had been a very long time since James had passed the trials. He was also curious about this other Knight who might accompany him, he had been out of touch with the Order for a long time and did not know his name.

Jade took her datapad and extracted the datastick which she then dropped into Nemo's hand. "Yes, reread it as often as you like, but I would strongly advise you against taking it to Corulag with you. If our source is good, we would prefer not to potentially compromise it."
She knew he was smart enough to realize the truth of her words, and besides, he had probably already thought of that. She again tucked the datapad under her elbow after switching it off.
"Is there anything else you might need?"

"Of course, I will protect the source. I have only one question, if the situation escalates do you want me to extract the source or leave them in situ?"
Nemo had read the name and description of the source and was trying not to but thinking about ways of escaping the planet if things did escalate. If this did happen he could imagine that Tza and his fleet would be called into the system. This must be avoided.

"Our immediate contact is not on Corulag." She wondered if this even made sense. "Our source has not told us the identity of their eyes and ears on the ground. So, unless you can find them, it is a moot point. I'd say leave well alone. I simply do not wish that individual to be tracked via our informant on Corellia."
Jade paused for a moment before continuing, "You will be on the ground, so the final call is up to you. Simply be prepared to justify it on your return."
