The bardroid, ever eager to please, responds to the Mando's summon. It's feeling slightly euphoric. The night was going well, in its estimation; at the rate they were going, it would run out in almost a year. The party had been going on for less than an hour. Everything was good to go.

When the waltz was completed, Sinistra and Adrien walked back over to the bar and she grabbed a glass of champagne. She looked at the assembled line of eye candy and JvS legends, color in her cheeks and a smile on her lips.
"Who would like the next dance?"

"I'd offer, but I'm just a wee bit outclassed in that department," Eralam said with a grin. "It'd look like a fighter trying to work around a barge."

*Morgan grinned at Terra's thanks, then thought about her question, if she was going to "hit the dance floor." Morgan started to shake her head, then stopped and looked over it, at the people dancing, at the lights and sounds. She thought about it a moment, then shook her head.*Maybe later, but not right now. *She would probably get out there eventually, but she wasn't really in the mood for dancing right now. Maybe if the right song came on or something, she'd head out there. Or someone to invite her, but the odds of that happening were fairly slim.* Terra smiled and nodded."Fair enough." She sighed softly, wondering what they could do until then. She was thinking of grabbing a drink at the bar, but she would have to take it easy while she was with the kids. Maybe she could get one later..."Should we find something else to do then?"

Adelle slipped in quietly, letting all the hubbub conceal her. Like as not, no one would have noticed anyway. Dressed in something appropriately classy and slinky, she made her way to the bar and ordered a strong drink.

Slipping one arm around her waist from behind, Z'har whispers into Jade's ear.-Z'har I have a gift for you.At this his other hand produced a single Alba rose.-Z'har It would seem I have a habit of giving you roses, however I felt I should save that certain colour for more special occasions. After all, the mere gathering of the most powerful & influential beings in the galaxy doesn't quite compare. The light tone of the last statement made it clear he was making a small joke at the expense of those present, himself included. Jade's lips twitched into a smile as Z'har pulled her closer in the dance, and then placed the rose in her hair where the white color was set off against her black hair and gold and jet hairsticks. "This is true. I never see a black rose without thinking of you," she reminisced as they whirled around the floor together.

As one dance finished and the band swung into another tune, Jade looked over at Sinistra. And then, because her writer thought it would be entertaining, Jadith winked at Sin. "What if I said, 'me,' Empress?" I mean, it's not every day that a noted Sith Lord dances with a Jedi Councilor. It probably would break some kind of universal law.

"Well, I might get offended as I prefer Emperor, not Empress." She gestured towards the floor as the musicians started playing a swing tune from the Big Band era.

The Sith did it... How? Who knows? This is fiction, just roll with it.
Despite the Old Sith's face basically smoking, and more than likely melting. He finished the mason jar, pounding the glass on the bar with such force it shattered. The glass shards in his hand actually helped take his mind off the excruciating pain that was emanating from his face to his gullet. Every ounce of him was on fire, and Jud could honestly say, in all his long years of "life". That he'd never felt anything close to this kind of pain before. In a perverse kind of way, it reminded Jud that he was still alive in a sense, and with that thought Jud smiled, or thought he smiled.
It was hard to tell at the moment with all the smoke.

She really had no idea, and unless they got up and goofed around, it seemed like they were out of things to do—
Was that Kory?
With inhuman speed, Morgan seemingly disappeared from her chair, only to glomp her mama in the next instant, clinging to her tightly and snuggling her tightly.*Mama! I haven't seen you in forever!*... she hadn't meant to completely abandon Terra like that, but hey, she hadn't seen her mama in quite some time. She could explain later, or maybe Jake could for her.*

Woah, it was Kory! And she was pretty and stuff and his face was starting to go red again. He was smiling, because he was happy to see her and because she was pretty, but he was still a bit embarrassed by his thoughts. Accurate as they were... Oh, right, Terra would probably be wondering what was happening, so he took the time to fill her in.* Oh, that's Kory, she's Morgan's mama. ... er, Morgan calls her that.

"Well, I might get offended as I prefer Emperor, not Empress." She gestured towards the floor as the musicians started playing a swing tune from the Big Band era. Jadith grimaced as that was obviously a slip of the fingers on the part of her writer who was in charge of typing. And she meant 'Emperor' anyway. And luckily, she adores swing music and dance routines, particularly of the Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman persuasion. Given that she had just taken the lead, Jadith swept Sinarah into a couple of quick wrap turns spiced up with fancy footwork.

It might be interesting to meet this Kory and see what all the fuss was about. Might as well see what Jake knew, since Morgan had already run off."Morgan only told me a little about her. What's she like?"

"A widower? Probably. But Firrerreo mate for life...until the day comes that he sees her body, he won't accept anything less, and won't move on. That's what I saw in Dante, so very long ago...he has the capacity to surpass me in power, not because he's the best duelist, or the most powerful, but because of that iron will...a seeming grudge against the universe, always trying to get revenge for being born. He'll spend hundreds of years looking for that woman if he has to, killing anything in his way, plotting schemes that take decades to be fulfilled...he devotes his entire being to one purpose, and will die trying to fulfill that purpose. And once his mind is set...nothing stops him. He'll run toward it with all his might; cut off his legs and he'll crawl; cut off his arms and he'll use his teeth to pull himself across the ground..." Arcturus shook his head slowly, and smiled. Sharing some private joke with himself. Waving for another glass of brightly colored alcohol, Arcturus just sighed at Liya's summation of the Empire. "Dante is...the most dangerous of my sons. I trained him in deception and illusion...skills that are even more useful to a species with such a long life span. Jace, my youngest son, keeps him in check...but I fear the loss of his wife will make him uncontrollable, even with Jace." Arcturus smiled idly, and shrugged. "That, or it will just break him. Even Dante can only go so far, grudge or not. Regardless...be very, very careful Tawaza...very careful indeed." With a mischievous wink, Arcturus nodded at the dance floor. "Ah, but this is the happiest I've seen him in some time. I remember a time when he danced and chased after Countesses on Serenno...I do believe you did him a great favor. Shame he won't remember it." "I appreciate the warning, however little good it may do since I won't remember it by tomorrow." I winked, and paused to give some more attention to my drink. "But I can assure you, I'm used to dealing with dangerous and deceptive. I never put all my cards on the table at once, and I always have a Plan Besh." The tone was dismissive, but my internal calculations were not. I knew Arcturus was serious about what he had said. "Dante thinks a lot like an Epicanthix, or at least, a lot like some of my mentors. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise. Firrerre did share a corner of the Outer Rim with the Pacanth Reach, after all." The glass was almost half-empty by now, and I was still just as intrigued by the chocolate flavor as I had been at the first sip. One didn't usually find this class of wine in the sorts of bars the Fel Crew could afford --- we tended to drink something closer to engine lubricant.I blushed slightly at Arcturus' wink. "It's probably just as well if he doesn't remember it. I never like to complicate my business relationships, and this one is already complicated enough. In fact, I don't think I would have accepted for any other occasion, at least not while we still have a job to do together." My mood sank a little, as I unintentionally reminded myself once again of all the failed missions of the past, and all the teammates I'd lost, especially the ones who had died on my watch, under my command. Fighting viciously with the contents of my skull, I shoved those thoughts to the back of my mind, only to force my homesickness back out into the open instead. Feeling the stress building, I spun the half-empty glass slowly on the bar, staring at the swirling red liquid for a while. After a few moments, I glanced up again, and made eye contact with Baylan. "When was the last time you were on Panatha?" I asked, almost wistfully.

Adelle was on the ground before she knew what had happened. She coughed and wheezed, trying to regain her breath. You'd think after all her writer puts her through, she'd be used to pain. Something small and solid constricted itself around her abdomen and after a second or two, Adelle realized it was supposed to be a hug. And then she put two and two together . . . which makes four, but that's besides the point. Morgan was here. Even though she was on the floor in formal wear, Adelle didn't care. She hugged Morgan back tightly.
"Sorry about that," Adelle said. She grinned crookedly at Morgan. "I see you've not lost your talent for knocking people over."

"When was the last time you were on Panatha?" I asked, almost wistfully. Arcturus looked amused, and just tipped his glass at Liya. "I would say most of that analytical thinking comes from me. I specialize in illusion and telepathy...Dante learned very early on in his training to question absolutely everything he saw. He learned many a time in his training to not trust his senses or even his own mind." He looked at her quizzically at her comment of making a business relationship more complicated, but rather than say anything simply studied his glass intently and absently; Arcturus made a point to keep out of the more intimate - or lack of - affairs of his sons. A few moments had passed when Liya looked up once more, this time at Baylan. He looked startled at her question, and cleared his throat nervously. "P-Panatha? I, uh, I've never set foot on the home world. I was born on a freighter ship just leaving the planet actually. My parents talked about it a lot though...lots of jungles and stuff. When they died though, I guess I just put it out of my mind...besides, Mr. Sorrows gave me a home on Serenno." This elicited a sharp glare from Arcturus, and Baylan quickly stammered an apology. "I mean, uh, Count Sorrows was gracious enough to give me a spot in his territories as one of his citizens." This seemed to soothe things over with Arcturus, and rolling his eyes the elder master simply went back to his drink. Baylan, though, continued to stammer on. "D-did you ever see it? Panatha I mean? What's it like? If...you know...you don't mind me asking?"

*Morgan had not intended to completely knock Kory over onto the floor, and she would have apologized had Kory seemed to mind. Instead, she only seemed happy to see Morgan, which made Morgan all the happier. She grinned at the observation of her ability to knock people over and snuggled her mama, but, upon realizing that the floor wasn't the best place to have a reunion, got off of her to let her up.* I didn't mean to, honest!

The nearest snow to here is about an hour by speeder. Autopilot can handle the driving portion. We'll be busy inside anyway. Unless you meant using magic snow that will pop up in here through magic. Magic.
"Magic!"Now to quickly finish this last beer before anything blows up.

Eralam was greatly annoyed to find himself covered in a massive mound of snow.
Meanwhile, the bartender droid regarded Jud with something akin to awe. The contents of that jar should have killed a human, full stop. Instead, he sat there with a smoking face. The droid pulled a special bottle from its stash. This was a special bottle. It held a 50 year old sample of the Black Cask whiskey that Eralam and Sin were so fond of, but there was more to it than that. This bottle would never break. It would never spill. It would never get lost, and it would never run dry. If the Sith survived, it was his.
