Terra followed Morgan into the ballroom, noticing the bar and the large space no doubt reserved for dancing. She would probably need a drink or three before doing any dancing, but now that the party had started, maybe she could have some fun. And Morgan was here too, so maybe they could play.
She grinned."All right. What should we do first?" *The ballroom was pretty large and impressive, just as expected. Morgan grinned as she looked around and took in the sights, then looked back up at Terra as she asked what they should do first. Morgan looked out at the ballroom again, putting a hand to her mouth and humming as she thought about it, but then the music started.
Morgan grinned. She had a wonderful idea, a so perfectly silly thought that it was just begging to be carried out. Before anyone else could speak, before anyone could offer an alternative or rebuttal, Morgan stepped around Jake and shoved him into Terra before taking a few steps backward and giggling.*You two dance! *She backed away again, covering her mouth with her hands as she giggled uncontrollably. This was more to put Jake on the spot and see what he would do rather than embarrass Terra, since she had a feeling Terra wouldn't mind. And Morgan wasn't trying to torture her brother so much as try to break him out of his shell. Who knew? Maybe this would be good for him.*

*Jake somewhat-timidly followed Morgan and Terra into the ballroom for the after party, not sure what to expect, though he knew it probably had something to do with dancing considering its name. Jake wasn't exactly a party animal, so he wasn't sure what he'd be expected to do here, nor was he able to answer Terra's question.
But suddenly he was pushed, and with a yelp he found himself slamming into Terra's front and bracing himself quickly. Then he heard Morgan's words, followed by her giggles: "You two dance!"* Eep! *... he hadn't meant to let that sound escape his throat, but now what'd he do?! Dance with Terra?! He— Well, it wasn't such a bad idea, but how did one even dance like you were supposed to to whatever this music was? He could explain that to Terra, explain he wasn't really a good dancer, he could get out of it, he could... could... Terra sure was pretty... Er, wait, that was— ... totally true. So...* Er... care to dance? *He gave a goofy grin with a nervous chuckle, though now that he'd been put on the spot like that he supposed he had no choice. He just didn't know the steps. Oh no, what if Terra didn't either? What if Terra turned him down?! That would be even worse! His face started turning red again. Was this night almost over yet?*

Tess did the best she could to keep up with Eralam as they traced around the other pairs on the floor. At first she was worried of being clumsly and stomping on the elder's toes, but now she feared her own toes being crushed in to a thousand pieces. "Size sixteen, huh?" she asked. "How the hell do you find shoes?" "Special order." It was true. Finding shoes, much less boots that fit in the store was damn near impossible. Fortunately, even if they couldn't match the grace of some of the other couples, they were getting the hang of it. Eralam knew nothing about Tess, but she moved like a fighter."Don't worry, I'm quite careful where I put them. Your toes are safe. So, how's the world treating you these days?"

Terra's eyes widened when Jake was pushed into her and Morgan was telling them that they should dance! Well that was certainly unexpected, as Terra usually required a drink or two before hitting the dance floor. That wasn't going to be an option here, for obvious reasons, and before she knew it, a blushing Jake was asking her to dance. That Morgan...she really let that girl push her around a lot, but it was hard to say to someone that cute...anyway, back to the task at hand.
She smiled and took his hand."I'd love to dance with you, Jake."Giggling, she took Jake's hand and led him onto the dance floor, then took both of his hands in hers."Let's dance!"Terra began to move, gently leading Jake along the floor.

"Whelp. I'm turned off. Damn! How did you even do that so quickly? It's like magic! You know what? Your boss power trumps mine."
She wrinkles her nose at Corr, and although it WAS indeed a great dance, and one she'll always remember until she blacked out from the bourbon ale in a few hours, the mention of illegal substance abuse was just a deal breaker. It was practically against her religion. You know, like the Rastafarian, but the exact opposite.
Besides, when's the last time you saw a kraut high?
Exactly.
And with that the Major gives Corr a peck on the T-visor, which would either scar him for life or offer some other positive effect. She didn't exactly know why that was the right thing to do, but she always did want to dance with Boba Fett, and Corr sure as that beautiful barrel of ale behind the bar over there stood was close enough. Mission accomplished.
Happier, she makes her dashing escape -back to the bar.
"Two beers please. Heh."

=Together= "Hello..." At the hug, both Dante and Arcturus looped their arms around Liya, and returned the hug. When letting go though, Arcturus' hand began to slide a might bit too low...but Dante slapped the hand away before it could reach anything offensive. At the swat, Arcturus gave Dante a puzzled look, and then a knowing smirk.=Arcturus= "You like this one? I'll behave...maybe. Depends on how drunk I get. I can't even remember the alcohol tolerance this body has." Dante simply leered at Arcturus, and rolled his eyes, receiving his glass from the bartender he swirled it gently before taking a sip. At the inquiry, Baylan chuckled nervously.=Baylan= "Me? I'm uh, Baylan Trell. Petty thief trying to make it to master thief. Uh...what is all of this? Where am I? And...why is everyone - CLUNK! A pair of fists simultaneously slapped themselves across the back of Baylan's head, eliciting a curse and glares at Dante and Arcturus. Oddly enough, both Dante and Arcturus had somehow changed clothes - both wearing knee high boots, black pants, a double breasted zeyd cloth tunic, silk cravats, patterned vests, capes, and of course - the frilly cuffs that Arcturus was prone to. Feeling more refined now that they were were in Serennian finery, Dante flashed a wink to Liya - and a courteous nod to those gathered.=Dante= "My my, all of you lovely ladies look absolutely beautiful...Wade, even, somehow manages to bring out his finer traits. As for this man...he's Baylan, newest addition to the Sorrows family. Surprisingly, even to me, all Arcturus' almost-intention earned was the briefest of glares. It wasn't that I didn't notice, rather, my level of not-giving-a-poodoo was rising faster than the level of drunkenness in the room around us. And Dante seemed to have the situation in hand (Ok, Writer, your puns are getting older than Yoda).I casually took another sip of the Tarisian ale as Baylan introduced himself. Another thief? Interesting. His choice of profession definitely piqued my interest. I might have settled into smuggling as my paid profession, but there were few things (aside from explosives) that I enjoyed better than a well executed theft. "It's always nice to meet another thief." I replied with a smile. "I'm Liya Tawaza, former ghost burglar and master assassin, turned smuggler." It wasn't always nice, in honesty. Some of my best capers had been ruined by clumsy rivals who had shown up at the wrong moment.I laughed as Baylan tried once more to question his surroundings, and got simultaneously punched by his two companions. Or should I say family members, since that was apparently what he was. "And you're too kind, Dante." My cheeks reddened at his compliments. "But I really must apologize for appearing like this. The Writer was impatient to get here, and so I had to make due with whatever I could steal." I glanced down at the hastily altered sleeves, tightly stretched waistband, and rather scuffed boots. Men's boots. "There wasn't a single presentable dress in my size."Their own sudden transformation, however, was stunningly handsome. Apparently Old Serenno knew a thing or two about fashion. But that wasn't what I noticed most --- what drew my attention was that they had the capability to instantly change their clothes, almost as if by magic. Was that some new trick of the Force that I had not yet encountered? It seemed unlikely. No, their Writer had taken mercy on them in a way that mine had not, and wanted them to look their absolute finest. I bit off a curse in my throat. The Writer could certainly have done the same for me, but no, clearly some fun was being had, at my expense.

The bartender looked at the Major and measured her level of intoxication. By most standards, she should be cut off soon, but she was A: scary and B: conscious. Until one of those problems resolved itself, it decided just to feed her beer, and handed over the requested two drinks.

"You know what, Mr. Bartender? You're a great guy. It must be so tough dealing with jerks who only boss you around and bark commands. Especially the damn rich. Hedonistic monsters, is what they are. Only thing worse are nazis. But don't you quit, Mr. Bartender. You have the best job ever." Spoken louder than needed from their distance. And once the ale was there, everything in life made sense.

The bartender droid could not reply, but it nodded in a friendly sort of way. This one might be scary, and anything not related to the drinks or the ordering thereof might be gibberish, but she gave him purpose. That meant she was his friend, and that would offer him some comfort as his processor shorted out at the end of the night.

He grinned as she planted a kiss on his visor before making a tactical withdrawal to the bar. He had gotten a kiss and made her retreat and therefore counted the whole encounter as a win. With it being ridiculous o'clock for the writer it seems an ideal time for Corr to sneak off and do something secret and naughty. There were plenty of decadence to partake in and he got to it with indomitable vigor.

Jake's spirits lifted a little, but the red on his face did not, especially when her hand took his and she led him onto the dance floor. He had to dance on this floor in front of all these people and not mess up? He gulped and felt himself suddenly wishing he had something to drink. Non-alcoholic of course.
Then his other hand was also taken by Terra's formerly free hand and his heart skipped a beat for a moment as Terra invited Jake to dance. Briefly he froze, but as Terra started to move, Jake did his best to follow, making sure not to step on her feet or mess up the steps. He also observed any dancing couples around him, seeing what they were doing and trying his best to mimic them. He almost stumbled once or twice, but managed to stay on his feet and slowly but surely learn the steps.
By now the red in his face had completely subsided and he was starting to feel a little more at ease. His heart was beating faster than a farmboy would be kicked out of an Imperial Academy, but he was okay with this current turn of events. He smiled as he managed to get the steps down and follow her. Yes, this was quite nice, ending a somewhat-disappointing night with a nice dance with a pretty girl. What could be better?*

It was good to just be able to have fun like this and she hadn't seen Jake in awhile so it was good to be playing with him again.
She giggled."You're getting good at this, Jake!"

So far so good, I s'pose. Wanna join Major at the bar? I fear her ramblings will short circuit the bartender."

"He's not much of a conversationalist; I'm more worried about her short circuiting. So yeah, that's probably a good idea."
The song would be drawing to a close soon anyway, and the bar was a good place to be when the shuffling of partners began.
"I'm glad to see you and Major getting along. She can be a bit of a handful at times, but she's good people, ignoring the occasional genocide or what have you."

"Yea, we usually get along," Tess said gravitating towards the bar. "When she's not being a pompous egotistical warmonger. How'd you guys meet? " Yes, it turned into one of those nights.

It was good thing the Major noticed the pair approaching the bar. She was just trying to explain her issue with theoretical physics as a legitimate field of study. Really, neurological genetics was where the advances in human empowerment were taking place. Sure, the former study had its merit from a historical st- oh! They were back!
"Tess! Other Guy I'm Not Supposed To Be Talking To. You guys are back. Another drink? Friend! My friend wants wine. I want wine. Can we have some? Give the... hmph... man... Motor oil and some whiskey or some other terrible thing."

"Now that's a loaded question. OOC-wise, it was a delightfully twisted Holonet add that caught my attention and sparked a writing spree that spanned almost a year and resulted a very odd friendship. IC wise, she lured me into a trap and I'm pretty sure you know half the story from there."
They made it to the bar with a minimum of fuss.
"Hi Major. We'll save the angst and turmoil for later. I see you've ditched the bucket head."

Pandora insisted on assaulting this writer's ears with the same advertisement about a couple being.... chased by her brother, who intends to kill them? Right. Please play more bebop.
"He's alright for a scoundrel. And a man. He got too sexual so I had to ditch out. You know me, the moment I even detect a whiff of male advances, I tend to run."

"Really? Hadn't noticed," Eralam deadpanned. "And here I was thinking you had an allergy to beskar."
The bartender droid used some decidedly less than top shelf bourbon to whip up a whiskey sour for the former Shard. It correctly assumed that expensive whiskey is for drinking straight, whilst the cheap stuff is best used as an ingredient in something grander than itself.

The hands, the dancing, the compliments... he could almost pass out. But he refused to, not while he was in perhaps the greatest position he'd ever been in throughout his entire young life.*Th-thanks, you're good at dancing too. *Then he started blushing again— No. He was in charge now, and he immediately made the blushing go away. He straightened a little more, somehow seeming a little taller than before, and took full confidence in his movements to the point he was the one leading the dance routine. He was far too short to do anything fancy like twirl her or dip her, but he was able to manage well enough with the other moves. Nothing was going to get him down now...*
