The sound of screaming becomes louder and louder to the ear, seemingly coming from...above?
AHHHHHHhhhhhhh...THUD
Ah yes, the form of a red jacketed, sandy haired, rakish epicanthix happened to fall randomly out of the sky and straight through the ceiling (which magically repairs itself) to land face first in the middle of the gathering. Slowly, the man stands up, looking around...well, pretty confused.
=Baylan Trell= "Wh-what the hell?! Where the hell am I, where the - pop!"
There was an audible pop, and somehow, magically, the man morphed into a golden male firrerreo with scowling features and a pissed off expression.
=Dante Deveaux= "Oh God. It's that time of the year again. Where the frick is our notice. Huh? WHERE THE FRICK IS OUR - pop!"
Another morph, this time into an albino Omwati with purple eyes and white hair - dressed in gray, black, and white robes, he was...some kind of Jedi? A hobo? Who could tell. Looking around, he spied alcohol of all kinds, but of even greater importance...females.
=Arcturus Sorrows= "Sithies time! Whoooooo! Ninth, tenth, of thirtieth one now! Now lets get some wine and some hookers and we can find a room and fu - pop!"
Another morph, the first form this time; the sandy haired epicanthix huddled on the ground, holding his knees to his chest, rocking gently.
=Baylan Trell= "Make it stop. Make it STOP! I DONT WAN'T TO POP! I DONT WANT TO POP!"
And so they cycled.

*Jake watched and waited patiently as Terra exchanged greetings with Morgan, then smiled when she said hi to him as well. He was still a little upset about his jacket sleeve, but it wasn't like it couldn't be washed later. But now, unsure what else to do, he gave Terra a little bow before straightening.* Nice to see you too. You look pretty. *Wait, had he let that slip?! Stupid, stupid! He had to fix this quick!* Er! *No no no, what was he supposed to say? "I didn't mean that"? But then that sounded mean, and it also wasn't true! Plus, didn't girls like getting compliments on their appearances? Why should he take it back? He stammered, then shrank a little as he scratched the back of his head and looked away, face deeply red.* Yeah...

Stepping between Malora and Liya, he wrapped an arm around each of them and glanced between the two, his hand sliding decidedly lower on Malora's hip than it did on Liya's (which actually took more effort than you'd think, seeing as Liya was of a height with him). "Now you two look like you could really use a drink. I think I saw a bar over this way." He figured if he just kept moving and didn't give her the chance, Liya might not try and break his arm, so to that end he began pulling both women in the direction of the aforementioned bar. "You can come too, Draykon." He said over his shoulder as they stepped off into the crowd. turning his head back forward, he addressed both Liya and Karana. "So how're things with the crew? It's been a while and I've been a little busy getting tortured and experimented on to keep up. How's Fel? Seros? The immortal duo? And who the hell was that nutjob with the blaster pistols on coruscant?" "Wade! Welcome back to the galaxy of the living!" I almost squealed as our former crew member unexpectedly appeared in the hall. Wade was supposed to be dead, although there had always been a tiny amount of doubt in my mind (and a very large amount of doubt in Karana's devoted mind). "Is this just a special appearance for old times' sake, or are you really still among us? 'Lora has been worried sick about you." Ordinarily he would have been right to fear for the safety of his arm as he made contact with my back, but tonight was different. Not only was I genuinely glad to see him (to my surprise), but I was under orders to behave myself, and the Writer had no intention of letting me stray from that commitment. Beaming, I gave him a quick half-hug, and allowed him to lead us toward the bar.“Pretty sure you mean Mack Revette, my…uh…..” Yeah, what was he now? Lover? Ex lover? Friend? Stranger? What do you call someone you used to sleep with that seemingly died and left you for two years, and then shows up a few months ago wanting everything to be how it was? Malora flailed a hand as they neared the bar, looking for the right words, but she came up short. “Um. He ran with Fel and I before you two showed up. We thought he was dead. Apparently not,” she said, shrugging. “Hell of a gunslinger, missing more than half of his marbles, definitely. He’s actually helping Oz and I track you down, Connors.” She patted the hand on her hip. “We’re coming to rescue you! And then we're going to rescue Fel, 'cause the brilliant Cap'n went and got himself nabbed by the Imps." She was not familiar with the pair of women in character that Adrien was talking to but the writer behind the Sith Lord was very acquainted with their writing and admired the smuggler women greatly. Another male joined them and Sinistra started to wonder why she didn't have more smugglers in her employ if they were all so charming and intriguing. She smiled as she stopped before the quartet, a warm twinkle in her eye. "Welcome, ladies and gent. I don't believe we've had the pleasure. I'm Sinistra, pleased to meet you all. It's an honor." I was about to comment further about the rescue missions, when a gorgeous woman in a stunning red dress approached us. "Thank you, Sinistra." I replied with a tight smile. Alarm bells were going off in my head as I heard the Sith's name, and I wondered how I even knew she was a Sith. I knew so little about ways of the Force, and yet the Writer was inserting very specific details into my analytical brain. It wouldn't do to discuss any specifics of our coming confrontation with the Imperials over the Captain's imprisonment. It wouldn't do at all. Even though Sinistra wouldn't remember the conversation after tonight, it still seemed like a bad idea. "I'm not sure how I know this, but congratulations on becoming Emperor of the Sith Empire! And no hard feelings, but I believe I speak for all four of us when I say that I hope that your conflict with the Republic will be long and fractious, and require the lengthy services of the smuggling world." I laughed, my eyes dancing. The smell of strong drink and expensive perfumes (and slightly burnt wood, Corr?) caught her attention, as did the absolutely stunning woman approaching their little group. If elegance had a name, it was definitely Sinistra tonight. “DUDE!” ..Probably not how you address a super sexy dangerous Sith, but protocol was never ‘Lora’s thing, and she was far too caught up in a mini out-of-character fangirl freak-out to care. “Huge fan!” she squealed, wrapping the woman in a quick hug. “Sorry, lemme just…” With effort, Malora wrangled Writer Lor back into her cold, Hothcago reality. She’d promised not to interfere tonight, but, well, everyone knows how excitable Lor can get. “ ‘kay, much better.” Malora rolled her eyes. “Writers. You know how they get. Anyway, honor is all ours. Heard a lot about you. Bee-tee-dubs (btw), ‘grats on your Sithies win! I’ve only read the first bit of ‘Whiskey and Philosophy’, can’t wait to read more.” Smirking but keeping my composure as Karana's Writer had a fan-girl moment, I attempted to bring the conversation back on topic. "Oh, yes. Introductions. The pleasure is ours. I'm Liya Tawaza, and this is Wade Connors, and Karana Malora." I indicated each of my companions with a nod of the head, while completely ignoring Ade, whom she seemed to already know. "If you ever need illicit cargo hauled, or enemies quietly exploded, or custom larcenies committed, we're the ones to call." And all we'll ask in payment is the return of one Galdaart Fel, alive and undamaged.

*Morgan was happy to get her hugs from Terra, then watched and grinned as Jake embarrassed himself again. It wasn't that she liked seeing him mess up, it was just cute. One day he'd get the hang of it, but for now, well, it was silly! But now that the moment had passed, Morgan returned her attention to Terra.* I'm so happy you won! Our meddroid was gonna win Best NPC, but he didn't... That's okay though, my daddy's in a few others he can win! Maybe... And I hope you win Best Female! *Or Jena... Morgan still wasn't sure who to pull for, since she liked them both very much. She'd find out later though, she supposed. And she hoped she wasn't disappointed. She shook her head and shrugged, then grinned.* I get to present it! But I dunno who won yet...

He stammered, then shrank a little as he scratched the back of his head and looked away, face deeply red.*Yeah... Terra giggled again as Jake stumbled over his words as he usually did. It was kind of an endearing trait, and she knew he always meant well.
She smiled reassuringly at him."Thanks, Jake. You look handsome tonight." It occurred to her after she had complimented him that said compliment might cause even more adorable blushing and stammering. Oh well. Too late now. Hopefully the poor boy's head wouldn't explode...Terra smiled and patted Morgan's shoulder. Bummer about the med droid, but if Aerandir was also up for some nominations, she was fairly certain he had a good chance to win at least one. That was just her guess though, since she had no idea who the heck decided these things."Aww...that's OK. I'm sure your dad will win something!" She stood up."And I can't wait to see you present the award for Best Female! I bet you'll be the most adorable presenter ever!" Normally Terra wouldn't have said that, but Terra's writer has a BAD case of Cuteness Proximity and tends to squee at such things. You'll have to bear with us...

"Ladies, you are both far too gracious to a humble servant of the Darkside. I hope to bring in as many smugglers as I can with the coming Cold War. Perhaps I might be able to look the other way when a certain captain makes an escape attempt from an Imperial holding facility in exchange for his crew doing me a bit of a favor. Of course, I'll have to see how things pan out with the announcement of the Empire. I expect it could be beneficial to us all."
There was a devious wink and smile for all in the small group as she took a sip of her whiskey, savoring the burn of the amber liquor down her throat.

*Awards came and went, none of which Ambar particularly cared about, that was, until they reached Best Lightsider. Aerandir had gotten snubbed in the past in his opinion, which by no means reflects the opinion of the writer, so perhaps this was the year they got things right.
Or... not.* Okay, I know how it's easy to say it's not a big deal when it's not you winning, but how do you stand it when it's you who gets snubbed? You can't sit there and honestly tell me it doesn't bother you. *Ambar just couldn't see how that was possible, but maybe it was just his own stubbornness. Ambar knew better than most how humble Aerandir was, but it was just something he couldn't understand. Not that Ambar was a prideful being... anymore... but the humility of others just baffled him.*

*The award came and went with no expectations, Aerandir already knowing the results. The only expectations he had were of the reactions of his family, which seemed to be mostly silent. Michelle seemed disappointed, Annabelle seemed sympathetic, Tom seemed apathetic, and Cassie seemed to shift a little closer to him.
But, as expected, it was Ambar who was the most vocal about it, completely baffled how Aerandir could just sit there and take it, how he could feel that way about getting "snubbed." Ambar... just didn't get it. Or maybe he was just too damn loyal for his own good. Aerandir only smirked and shook his head.* Well, Ambar, it's simple. A Jedi doesn't live their life for awards, they live it to serve. And for writers, awards are nice, but it's good just to get recognition. I'd say I'd succeeded. And I'm happy to see friends of mine get recognition as well. Besides, I've got something better than awards. *He smiled as he put an arm around Cassie and another around Michelle and Annabelle. If Ambar didn't see his point then... well, Aerandir would just ignore him for the rest of the night.*

*And he did it again. Just shrugged it off like a lightsaber against beskar. Ambar had no clue how he did it... though he supposed if the man wasn't going to budge, it wasn't worth pursuing again. Ambar was still disappointed for him, but if the man didn't care, then he was done bothering either him or himself about it and would enjoy the show. Or just wait for it to end.*

*Morgan grinned as Terra called Jake handsome in return; if that didn't get a reaction, Morgan would have to check his pulse. But just as Morgan grinned at Terra's assurances and compliments, the award for Best Lightsider was being presented and Morgan immediately turned toward the stage with held breath. Is it Daddy? she thought to herself hopefully. But alas, it was not. She sighed, even though she knew he wouldn't be upset about losing; still, she would have to pay him a visit later...* He keeps losing... He really needs to win it someday! Because he's my daddy and he's the best... *Merely a disappointed child's laments; she'd get over it soon enough. She was unsure what to do now until she heard the announcement that it was her turn to present Best Female. Grinning, she turned toward Terra again.* Be right back! *On her way to the stage, she stopped by her father's table to give him a reassuring snuggle before making her way to the stage...*
*Morgan returned from the stage, looking a little less excited than she had while presenting, and found her way back to Terra. When she found her, she wrapped her arms around her and hugged her tightly.* I'm sorry you didn't win Terra... I think you really should've! *Or Jena too, but even if Jena won, Morgan would've said the same thing. They both deserved to win! In Morgan's opinion anyway.*

*H-h-handsome?! She thought he was handsome?! Jake's face was now redder than the barbecue sauce he'd been eating and even shrank a little more. That was... that was quite the compliment, and he wasn't sure how to take it.
Fortunately for him, all thoughts left his mind and his attention was stolen away by the stage when Best Lightsider came up. It was his dad right? It had to be! Oh... it wasn't. Jake sighed to himself, but didn't let it bother him. He didn't need an award to know his dad was the best. But now it was Morgan's turn to present! Jake smiled and clapped for her as she went up on stage and... made fun of boys... ... ouch? To be fair, she'd done the same last year, but it was just joking around. Jake didn't know Morgan had it in her...
Oh, Terra's name was in the list? Maybe she'd win it! Terra was pretty great, and pretty... Er, why was his mind going there again? Oh. Terra didn't win it. Well, she got one award already though, at least, so he supposed that wasn't too bad. And Morgan was on stage saying she loved him and asked them not to be mad at her for making fun of boys... Jake just stared blankly for a moment before slowly shaking his head, then smiled when she came back to reassure Terra that she should've won it.* Yeah, you should've, but it's okay, you got one already, right?

Terra was a little disappointed that she hadn't won, but oh well. You can't win 'em all and she hadn't even expected to be nominated in the first place. Still, she appreciated Jake and Morgan's thoughts that she should have won, and she smiled at the both of them."Aww...thanks you two. It means a lot."She grinned at Morgan."That was a great presentation, Morgan!"Morgan was just so darn cute when she was joking around like that, but Terra didn't say anything about that this time.

Nartaga suddenly went back into motion, his writer having been extremely busy as of late. It's not easy juggling work with writing, but he enjoyed the challenge. Nartaga was just a bit disappointed that he did not win, but being nominated was enough. He still took credit for Tatooine winning best planet a few years back.
Nartaga, despite have found he had no pallet for Outsider drinks, had decided to once again try another alcoholic beverage. He had in his hand a strange dark bottle labelled "Beer." He tilted it back and let it wash over his tongue. He shrugged at the taste. Not as strong as the whiskey he had had earlier, but okay in taste. Now that things were starting to wrap up, he was excited about the after party. If he could, he would be able to show them how to really party.

As Ice, Jena, and Lyssa made their way through the crowd toward the bar, Ice heard a voice she hadn't heard in a few years. One she'd never thought she'd hear again. Just as she turned around strong arms swept her up in a big bear hug. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she laughed.
"Reyn! By the Gods, I never thought I'd ever see you again! You look amazingly well for an old dead guy. You should come have a drink with us."
She grinned with a teasing sparkle in her eyes. Reyn had been one of the few Mando's she knew and respected - and by some twist of fate and a long drawn out story that we won't get into right now, he was hers and Jena's ancestor. When he set her down on the floor again she gave him a kiss on the cheek and pulled him toward the bar. She was about to order a drink when another woman, a Zabrak (Aya), introduced herself. Arching an eyebrow at the woman, Ice was confused at first by the womans notion that she knew her father. Looking a little perplexed, Ice drank down the shot of whiskey the bartender placed in front of her. Eying the woman, Ice realized who the womans father might be.
"Your father? That wouldn't by any chance be The Admiral, would it?" She asked, with interest, as she took three of more shots from the bartender and handed them to Jena, Lyssa, and Reyn.......

*Morgan giggled when Terra complimented her on her presentation and she did a little curtsy in response.* Thank you. *She then put an arm around her brother as another assurance that she wasn't really being mean to him or other boys and just joking around, then looked up at Terra.* So uh, what do you wanna do now?

Terra shrugged."I dunno. They probably still have some awards to pass out."Come to think of it, there really wouldn't be a whole lot to do here during the actual award ceremonies besides stand around and talk. Which was fine, but Terra wasn't much of a conversationalist. There was the party after the awards were finished, though. Maybe they could find something to do then."Are you gonna be at the party after the ceremony is over?"

*Morgan nodded at the idea of finding out something to do at the party, which would be fun! Parties at the Sithies were always... interesting, and why would this year's be any different? Still... oh! Best Male was coming! Daddy would— Nope, not this one either. Oh well, she heard the man who won it was a pretty great guy anyway. Back to Terra. She shook her head.* No, I don't have any ideas. There's not a lot to do yet. Besides eat. *She giggled and folded her hands behind her back, unsure what to do just yet.*

Adrien simply nodded in reply to Liya, he had heard about Fel through one channel or another but he didn't see a point in furthering the topic, and he couldn't have anyway with the arrival of some guy who obviously knew who Adrien was. Adrien, though, couldn't quite place a finger on who this man was. He really needed to be more direct about the whatever fight it was that they didn't have because most of his encounters with other men usually end up that way, either he had slept with their daughter, or their wife, or their sister, or if she's looking good for her age their mother, or there was the occasional person coming for revenge because he showed them up in some way or another. So as he looked at the man and laughed at his ribbing, Adrien's thoughts drowned out much of the conversation around him as he tried to figure out who this guy was. He followed them to the bar only half way listening to their conversation, instead he ordered a glass of champagne and looked out into the crowd waiting to be addressed directly. It wasn't his usual drink, but hey, it's a special occasion. It wasn't until Sinistra came up along side him that his attention and interest was diverted, she looked stunning and he was pretty sure she knew it. "Sin. You look amazing as always." He said as he turned his body toward her. "Too long is an understatement." He smiled at her before turning to include the rest of the group once again, and again ignoring much of what they had said due to lack of interest and of course because he still couldn't figure out who this dude was and how they knew each other. It wasn't until Sin said: "Ladies, you are both far too gracious to a humble servant of the Darkside. I hope to bring in as many smugglers as I can with the coming Cold War. Perhaps I might be able to look the other way when a certain captain makes an escape attempt from an Imperial holding facility in exchange for his crew doing me a bit of a favor. There was a devious wink and smile for all in the small group as she took a sip of her whiskey, savoring the burn of the amber liquor down her throat. That he brought himself back into the conversation, "One can only hope. Of course you know where to go if you need anything transported." He said with a cocky smile and a wink toward Sin. And then it hit him, he knew who this guy was. "Wayne Carter," obviously just figuring out where he knew this guy from, "you're that cheapshot guy running with Fel. I remember now. Good to see you, you look a lot different though, did you do something with your hair?" He laughed, "I'm just kidding. Seriously though, if you still want to have that fight sometime I need an bad guy to bridge the gap between big threats. It was obvious that Adrien was about to say more but he was suddenly called to the stage, "I guess I'm up." He looked at Liya and Karana and nodded, "Ladies," he leaned over and gave Sin a kiss on the cheek just to the left of her lips, "see you at the after party?" He nodded with a smile before looking back to Wayne, "Wayne, nice to see you again." And before another word could be said he buttoned his suit jacket, finished off his champagne and walked toward the stage.
