Having been raised by the Jedi since infancy, I occasionally feel mildly out of place when I find myself in situations such as this where I am not occupied with training, teaching, meditation or an assignment; my ingrained sense of duty and responsibility making it difficult not to feel that there is something I could or should be doing to better serve Ashla than taking time to relax among friends. My experience on Bimmisaari has also left me with the feeling that atoning for my failure is something I cannot ever forget, and has made it difficult for me to set thoughts of how I might atone, or if atonement is even possible, from my thoughts for long. Though I know many of those present well, and would do nearly anything for them, I still feel as though I am apart from them, distanced by my fall; or perhaps I only remain so in order to spare any of them the burden they might feel were they to know of what I am going through. Or perhaps, despite Ael's assurances otherwise, I still feel as though . . .
"Oh, do please stop drifting into redundant melancholy reverie, I hear my own exasperated voice telling me from behind, and turn to see the me that has plagued me since my self-imposed exile on Bimmisaari sitting at the bar with an aggrieved expression. It's really rather exceedingly dull to listen to it all of the time, you see? Relax, have a drink. That would be much more fun than brooding, don't you think?"
I have, since my return, managed to stop replying to my phantom me - an unfortunate, lingering side-effect from my efforts while on Bimmisaari to further hone my skill in the use of a doppleganger - and so close my eyes while taking a deep breath to try and banish her for the time being. When I open my eyes the me at the bar is no longer there, and I can tell from the absence of reactions from those near the bar that she had only ever been there in my mind. Turning towards Atlantis when he asks if I need anything, I smile and say, "I'm fine for now, thank you. Tchin, my right lekku, coils to pull itself onto my shoulder and then swings over the front of my neck, it's tip draping over the back of my left shoulder and coiling around my bicep as, having noted that he has changed into a swimming suit, I tell Atlantis with a smile, Please, don't let me keep you from the pool or your other guests. I'm quite sure I can manage to look after myself should I need anything."

Ayodele smiles as she accepts the bottle of water from Franz, uncapping it and drinking from it before recapping it and returning it to Franz as she works her throat to make it seem as though she has imbibed the liquid even though she has not. The nutritional needs of her species are unique, as are their digestive systems, but as food and drink often hold such important places in most cultures, Ayodele has learned several tricks that allow her to conceal the fact she neither eats nor drinks; a necessary deception if she wishes to maintain the appearance of a near-human. While it will be more challenging to appear to eat later, should Ayodele decide to employ the deceptions she has cultivated that enable her to appear to eat, the water is easily dealt with. Once Franz has accepted the bottle, Ayodele smiles and then turns, diving beneath the water and swimming towards the other end of the pool, releasing the water she held in her mouth into the pool as she does so.
Breaking to the surface of the pool once on the other side, Ayodele lifts her hands to slick her hair back before pulling herself from the pool and walking languidly back towards the chair where she had left her things, taking her towel from her bag and drying off. Once dry, Ayodele wraps her sarong around herself before sitting down and beginning to braid her hair into a quick pony tail before it begins to dry and frizzle.

Lakehouse - Pool
Morgan was kind, and nice, that much Ryan could see and even if she somewhat felt bad right now, truth be told? It did not bother him so to speak, Lukas, no doubt, would have much more fun with her than the lil man would with Ryan. Already Ryan was glad to have occupied Lukas the right way, and not once he did not see the young boy bored at all. Ryan sat there at the edge of the pool soon enough just to keep an eye on Lukas while Morgan got changed to her swimsuit. Earlier though he had seen his girlfriend's shrug about going inside. Then again Ryan could definitely assume that he very well could if he wanted, needed to in a few.
Seeing that Morgan had returned, Ryan smiled looking at her and then looked at Lukas very seriously and playfully. "You should go right in lil' man, and perhaps she'll start teaching you how to make water balls," He looked at Morgan playfully with a knowing smile before chuckling. "Who knows, maybe you'll be able to toss a water ball at me later, like I did to my sister earlier." Laughing and looking over his shoulder towards where the women were standing, he shrugged knowingly when he caught his sister's gaze and then looked back at the two children in the pool.

Lakehouse - Pool
Franz momentarily looked at Lily when she pretty much ordered him to stay put because it was his birthday... Birthday or not he truly felt uncomfortable in not helping out to be perfectly honest, and Lily shouldn't fuss about this, it was fine to him to just spend time with people he cared about but on the flip side of the coin, he understood why that was being done. Though he could take comfort on the fact that it was also an engagement party right? Looking back at Ayodele with a faint smirk as she took his bottle of water, Franz just glanced around momentarily to check if Atlantis had come back and it seemed like he did and was currently conversing with Serrin, while Andros was being busy with his datapad, Franz briefly narrowed his eyes in his cousin's direction, hoping that the man wasn't working at all.
But Franz's gaze didn't linger there for Ayodele was returning the water to him and he took it once more before watching her swim for a while and soon noticing that she was actually getting out of the pool which wasn't such a bad idea considering the longer he stayed into the water, the more shriveled his fingertips would turn. Franz just raised himself onto the edge of the pool and walked back towards his lounge seat noticing that the children were going to have fun, smiling at both Morgan and Lukas, Franz dropped soon enough his water onto his seat and grabbed his towel to dry himself off for a moment and already he had noticed that he had tanned for a bit. "I'll be back in a moment." He told Ayodele with a faint grin before glancing at the women over there and chuckling briefly.
"If you want to keep on plotting with them, now is the chance." Running his hand through his hair to shake it for a bit, Franz turned around to go inside of the lakehouse to use the bathroom...

Lakehouse — Pool
Atlantis was still standing close to Serrin while he had been attentive for a moment about the happenings around the pool. Aerandir was there with Ice, or Isis like Ares had called her, and it really looked like the new arrivals from Honoghr knew the Jedi from Felucia. Before he could peruse further the area, Atlantis looked back at Serrin when she told him that she was fine currently and didn't need anything. He supposed that if indeed she did need anything, she'd let one of them know though about him going off to the pool or even entertaining his other guests, he supposed that they seemed to be entertained one way or the other. Serrin, to be perfectly honest? He didn't want to leave her on her own but he would if she'd rather be.
Atlantis nonetheless smiled and shook his head before looking at what he was wearing, for sure he was in swimming trunks, but he still had not decided to really remove his top and dive into the pool with that many people around. He had so many scars that he was so self conscious about those unlike his brother right there who obviously didn't care. "I know you can manage but," Atlantis looked at her with a friendly smile before tilting his head slightly on the side. "You are one of my guests too and the others, they seem to be doing perfectly fine." He said as he looked at the Calmcacils and even the others from Honoghr, though the ones from Honoghr really, Atlantis had assumed that indeed they weren't here because he had requested the help from the Conclave there, they were mainly here because Ares was, and because Ares had been out of reach for so long that he wanted to speak with his siblings.
"So if you don't mind the company, I figured we should reacquaint one another?" Atlantis suggested as he gestured to the lounge seats there so that they could settle, just sit and talk about anything and whatever. "Also here is a secret for you, I might not even get into the pool." He confided as if it was a big secret but then again perhaps it was in a way, only a few knew about his flaws and his apprehension about really being shirtless anyways.

When Ryan first set him back down on solid ground by the edge of the pool, Lukas looked at him with a bit of confusion at first until Ryan suggested that he wait until Morgan changed into her swimwear then they could have fun in the pool together. With a grin, Lukas nodded his head in agreement as Ryan gently ruffled his hair.
Soon enough, Moran was back outside kneeling own to give Lukas a hug before getting in the pool and beckoning for Lukas to join her. He was a little hesitant at first, looking back at Ice until she gave him a nod of encouragement while motioning toward the steps leading down into the water. Grinning widely, he carefully picked his way along the edge of the pool until he came to the steps a few feet away from where Ice sat on the lounge chair. Sitting down on the top step, he grinned when Ryan said that perhaps Morgan would teach him how to make a water ball before he plopped into the water, with another giggle, on the second step. Smiling at her sons giggles, Ice looked up when Aerandir came to stand beside her and spoke. Picking up Lukas' glass of apple juice, she set it on a small table by the lounge chair along with her bottle of beer, and stood up slightly facing Aerandir but still keeping a watchful eye on Lukas in the water.
"Well....it was either take a vacation, or sit at home and wallow in my own self pity." She said with a small wry grin as she folded her arms across her chest and looked up meeting Aerandir's gaze. "Actually, Alisha and Ares invited us to come with them and since everything is running smoothly at home, at the moment....it was time for a break after all that's happened in the last couple of years." She looked away briefly, thoughtful for a moment as she watched Lukas and Morgan splashing and playing in the shallow end of the pool, then looked back at Aerandir. She had a lot of respect for him since he had been one of the very few people to take the time to listen to her story and deem her worthy of being knighted. She also had a lot of respect for Morgan who had helped her realize that the physical scars they both carried didn't define who they were.
"So what brings you all to Umgul, Aerandir." She asked with genuine interest but would totally understand if he didn't want to reveal why he and the girls were visiting the planet.

Tchin, my right lekku, curls and unfurls its prehensile tip while wound around my bicep as I look over and up at Atlantis with a playful frown as I ask him in an entirely playful pout, "Am I merely a guest then? Here I thought we were friends, I add in the same tone before I laugh and shake my head, abandoning my teasing and saying, Then again, I suppose it is accurate to say that everyone here is your friend, no? So, I suggest to Atlantis sincerely, you should try and relax, Atlantis. That is what today is all about, no? I don't think any one here would find you remiss were you to worry less about playing host and more about allowing yourself to enjoy these moments. Shrugging, deciding that I've given enough unsolicited advice for the moment, I smile and look back up at Atlantis with a smile that suggests his concern that I might not welcome his company is a foolish one, and say, And I certainly don't mind the company, quite the opposite in fact."
Looking around for where we might sit, I chuckle when Atlantis whispers that he might not swim at all, asking in an amused tone, "And why is that a secret? Gesturing towards the bar area, I make my way to one of the stools and sit, reaching up to adjust the left side of my headdress as I smile and ask Atlantis, So, as we'll need to avoid any dramatics in order to avoid violating Lily's rules for the day, what can you tell about what undramatic things you've been up to since last we met?"

"I do have an indoor voice, I factually tell Baby Girl, but then again she already knows that and also this doesn't count, which makes me have a point there, one that I do not hesitate to explain, you were inside, and you prevented me from going in by using the Hapan Bombshell and Gorgeous, too I am sure, as proxies. Poking my tongue out playfully, I look at what Baby Girl has actually brought out and help her with the plates and bowl she is holding to put that next to the grill and I see that the ingredients to do the marinade is all there. And no, they are not going to help me grilling, though I wouldn't mind some help on the side dishes."
So many of us, and I cannot deal with everything at the same time, that is just a big fat no. Grabbing the gloves and first and foremost from Baby Girl, I smile gratefully at her when she has just finished listing the utensils that I will be needing, I look at her thoughtfully when she asks me why I yelled out for her in the first place. "Yes, the marinade, sweet, sour, salty, bitter? I am quite aware that I am listing everything right there, but then again as expected, I have no idea what each and everyone prefers here ... So many combination, banking on the fact that Baby Girl is going to tell me to mix and match. Though I do end up looking at Gorgeous wondering how she has imagined the marinade to begin with. What did you actually have in mind to begin with, Gorgeous?"

Waving her hand dismissively and playfully when Lily countered that she did have an indoor voice, Crystal rolled her eyes playfully soon after because she clearly had nothing to say right then and there due to the fact that she was quite aware that her childhood friend did have an indoor voice and also had a point there. Although Crystal did not confirm that she indeed asked Lana and Elika to stop Lily from going inside because, as they all knew, Lily always managed to hold something up against any one of them no matter what. "You grill, we'll take care of the rest, plus the things inside will be ready by then, I just need Ares to put the final touches on that since it's his sideline project." Either way, Lily would get what she wanted, them helping someway, somehow and no one would, at least, get any reprisals so to speak from the lawyer because of that.
While Crystal waited for what Lily actually needed, she looked around the pool momentarily and noticed that at least everyone was with someone, or at least were. Franz seemed to have left Ayodele alone for a moment to go inside, Atlantis and Serrin were speaking with one another, Ice and Aerandir were as well plus the children seemed to be under Ryan's watchful eyes. Smiling briefly as at least she noticed that everyone seemed to be having a good time, she nevertheless made a mental note to go see Ayodele later if Franz took his sweet time before coming back.
"Why not make two types of marinade?" Crystal suggested right off the bat currently, not everyone had the same preferences, that much she was aware of, and it was the safest way to go perhaps, though she also did look at Elika since if Lily asked her that question, perhaps she did have an idea. Also truth be told, Crystal was also thinking on how they could make it work, maybe just the standard marinade for grilled meat, she was certain that at least everyone could agree on that, as long as it was perfectly balanced...

Elikapeka smiles with an innocently perplexed expression when Lily claims to know that she is up to something, and then pretends to pat her nonexistent pockets for something to take notes with when Lily starts rattling off a list of things she wants her and Delaana to look after, squinting with her head tilted to the side teasingly to portray someone doing their marked best to remember a complicated list of things they have been tasked with even though she actually feels confident that she will be able to handle remembering everything Lily has given her to do. "Got it, beautiful," Elika says with a nod after Lily has finished assigning the errands and tasks, and then playfully squints again while wincing as though in pain when Lily shouts out for Crystal to come over.
Smiling as she puts her arm around Delaana's waist and steps up closer to her, Elika laughs with a puzzled expression while asking jokingly, "Really? She seems pretty AG to me no matter where she is. What, with the yelling and bossiness and relentlessness and everything. Smiling sweetly at Lily, Elika nods her head in agreement when Crystal joins them and suggests that Lily work on her indoor voice. Shaking her head when Crystal asks if Elika and Delaana are planning on helping Lily with the grilling, Elika begins to explain that she and Delaana are only helping with the side dishes, but saved the trouble when Lily does just that, so only nods her head while lifting a hand, thumb keeping her sleeve in place, to gesture towards Lily to confirm what she has said. Looking worried when asked about what she had planned for the marinade, Elika crinkles her nose as she admits, I, um, was just going to wing it? Hastily explaining herself, Elika adds, I was just going to, um, dig around and see what we have, and then, um, go from there? Shrugging apologetically, Elika glances toward Crystal as though seeking her input as the resident culinary expert as she says, But, um, having some salty and some sweet sounds like a good idea, right? Knowing that having everyone constantly refer cooking decisions to her has to get irritating for Crystal, Elika nods decisively and says, Salty and sweet, yep. And, um, maybe we should leave some plain too, in case anyone is into the whole unflavored thing? Taking a deep breath, Elika nods, and then slides her arm from Delaana's waist to take her hand instead while turning to head into the kitchen, asking Delaana, Did you want to relax and mingle, my Ceesi, or keep me company while I figure out marinades and side dishes?"

*Aerandir attempted to be attentive to most of the conversation happening about, albeit not to the point of eavesdropping; he wasn't entirely certain he would end up acquainted with many of the people here, but he knew there were at least a handful of important figures present apart from Andros himself. One of the women—Lana, if he recalled right—even brought him a drink and directed him to where he could find more if he wanted more, inviting him and also Ice to just ask if they needed anything.* "Thank you," *he said with a smile, then turned to Ice when she began speaking.
The corners of his mouth twitched briefly when she mentioned "self pity." Right, that had happened recently. He'd both sent his condolences and expressed desire that the Order could have done more to aid, but she had decided it was time to move on. As she was now, explaining that she was invited by Alisha and Ares and she decided to get away to take a break. He nodded, looking towards the pool also, at Morgan playing with Lukas, at Michelle calmly slipping into the pool, seeming content to swim in place and observe. Aerandir still wasn't sure if he himself would end up in the pool, but he was at least dressed the part should he decide to.
He took a sip of his drink when Ice asked what brought them to Umgul. Very subtly his brows knit. He would have honestly answered her... but today was a "drama free day" apparently, so he wasn't sure if the topic was appropriate. At length, he answered,* "I think just saying the reason would break the 'drama free' rule. Let's just say I answered a call for help." *Perhaps Ice knew enough about the situation on Umgul to know what he was referring to. If not, he could explain more thoroughly at a different time. Instead, he asked,* "How's Jena? I need to thank her for taking on Jake for that healing training."

*Ryan seemed content to stay out of the pool for now, so perhaps she hadn't been much of an intrusion after all. So instead she waited for Lukas to enter the pool, grinning all the while, with an edge of mischief as well as at the mention of water balls from Ryan. Now those she could do... How successfully, she wasn't sure, particularly considering the ones she made on Felucia she usually did so while focusing on the life force within.
Using the Force was so much different off of Felucia.
Regardless, she was sure she could try, so, as Lukas splashed down the steps, she giggled and came close, beaming at him and asking excitedly,* "You want me to make a water ball?! Or do you wanna swim?"

Lakehouse - Pool
Walking out of the lakehouse after using the restroom and grabbing something in the kitchen, Franz had noticed the candles on the kitchen island and the smell of cake. Curious by nature, he did peer in the oven and saw that it wasn't just one cake but three. His eyes popped wide open and he smiled genuinely touched by the attention that his friends, his family were pouring into this. Now he was back out on the deck and he was in the midst of the women talking to one another about what kind of marinade they should be doing for the meat. Unable to help himself he hugged Crystal, Lily and Elika once with a noticeable and warm smile before stepping back and looking at all of them, not even saying why he had done that, but he felt that the words wouldn't do any justice. Franz just shrugged and looked at Elika and said. "I am fine with all of the above." In case any one of them were wondering before looking around, certainly no one would really be too fussy about how they wanted their meat, except perhaps the children. "Though if I may make a suggestion, ask Lukas and Morgan? The others, I am sure they won't be too fussed."
After all most, if not all were Jedi and, sure he did understand that the women wanted the meals to be delicious, it was just them overall, but then again that was his input, no more no less. With that all said and done, Franz inclined his head and turned to walk back towards Ayodele and he sat down on his lounge seat looking at her with still that smile one his features, for he truly was touched. Then again it also could have been for the engagement but he saw the candles and his age on that particular candle. "So it appears that what you have plotted with them..." Franz gestured with the tip of his beer bottle towards the women by the grill before uncapping it. "Has successfully come to fruition, very sneaky and sly." Franz playfully said with a chuckle before taking a sip of his beer and enjoying the taste of it.
Putting his bottle down on the table, he looked at Ayodele thoughtfully knowing that perhaps his silence or inability to make conversation could turn into an awkward situation, Franz decided to make some small talk. "I don't think I have asked you, but have you been anywhere else other than here and Polus?"

"I heard that ... Narrowing my eyes in Gorgeous' direction when she pretty much qualifies me as bossy, relentless and everything else that goes with my job function, I wink at her playfully before smiling because after all, that is all me. Then again, I won't even contradict that, psh! Looking over at Baby Girl when she confirms what I have been hoping she confirms, the fact that I'll handle the grill and the rest is up to them, I let out a sigh of relief before smiling gratefully at her, though when she mentions her brother, I nibble my lower lip and chuckle due to the fact that I have seen him previously here looking for something in a bag. So ... are you even sure that you brother will be able to put the final touches on his sideline project ..?" Either way, at least I am not responsible for that and surely I will not be the one in trouble if it isn't completed by then ...
"Why don't you see if you can do anything with, Pointing at everything Baby Girl has brought outside on the table there by the grill, surely everything to make a marinade is there, right? what is on there? Shrugging noncommittally though since it appears that just like me though Gorgeous doesn't have a clue, which makes me look at Baby Girl dubiously and shrugging once again, I am about to agree with Gorgeous' suggestion when I see Pookie stepping outside and hugging me but also the others, I do not know what the hug is for but I return his with an arm since I am holding onto the gloves. Smiling at his suggestion about asking the children, I admit that is a good suggestion. I believe Pookie has a point, Looking over my shoulder still with that lingering question on why he has hugged us in the first place, I grin once again before looking back at the others. One of you want to ask them?"
Since I am assigned to grilling, I still have to wait for the marinade though, so I finally check out what Crystal has brought out before overhearing Gorgeous saying something to the Hapan Bombshell. "Please, we all know that you two will be wherever one is, besides, plenty of time to mingle later when we are all eating, right?" Winking at the two of them over there, chuckle softly and at least start on doing a salty marinade with the ingredients Baby Girl has brought out ...

"Of course, we ar—..." Atlantis started to say before cutting short as he noticed that she was merely pulling his leg and just teasing him. He laughed softly at that, as he couldn’t believe that he had fallen for that and quite easily. Serrin was right obviously, he should probably relax and leave his worries buried deep inside and not let those bleed upon this gathering, upon this event tagged as no drama day, but sometimes it was so difficult for him to let go when it wasn't just him that was concerned by what was happening in the city, it was mainly his very own brother, Andros. Indeed Atlantis should enjoy these simple moments, and he knew that it was best currently lest he got visited by the AG's own reprisal.
Nonetheless, Atlantis was glad that Serrin didn't mind his company at all, already last night he had wanted to catch up with her when she had arrived on this planet, see how she had really been doing, also where she had been all of these last months... Though that would, Atlantis supposed, violate that infamous rule, so he would settle with perhaps just catching up with Serrin around coffee, or cocktails, or just around the pool and that was fine by him.
Sitting down on the stool next to hers, Atlantis placed his forearms on the counter and turned to look at Serrin with a far more relaxed expression than he perhaps had earlier. But right, that secret she had asked him about, though he only had himself to blame too first and foremost, it wasn't so much of a secret to most of the people here, he guessed. Hopefully he would manage to reply to that to the point. "It is not so much of a secret, but more of a feeling about myself in general." Atlantis explained to Serrin with a faint smile. "Let's just say that there are marks on me that makes me self conscious whenever I remove my shirt around many people that I am not too familiar with." It was the best explanation he could give, sure those scars he had didn't make him the person he was, or maybe in a way it shaped him but he was still self conscious about those.
Just uncomfortable...
Since he didn't want to linger for too long on that when clearly he knew he was overthinking it and perhaps no one would look at him differently, he just didn't want to risk that right now especially with kids around, so instead, Atlantis decided to go on the easiest part, Serrin's question about undramatic events. "I have been teaching and also meeting parents about their child being attuned to the Force, just running the Academy with the others, and it's just easy when you have known them for a long time and you don't exactly need to speak out loud to know what they want to tell you or you know..." Smiling briefly knowing that his affinity with each Councilors of the MO, not really knowing to expound on something more than necessary ultimately might have tagged them as closed off. In a way they were, perhaps, but then again it had been so long since they had worked with others that habits were often difficult to change.
Leaning over the counter to grab a bottle of water, Atlantis presented one to Serrin if she wanted it or not, if she did take the water, he'd take another one before uncapping the bottle to drink. "What about you?" Atlantis asked dubiously with a warm smile perhaps she wasn't quite ready to talk about that, though they were onto undramatic events, so he supposed that was safe to ask, right? But just in case, Atlantis did provide an out, or he hoped it would be one for Serrin. "You know, I just remembered something..." Atlantis started to say with an amused chuckle before shaking his head, that memory seemed so long ago but at the same time it was as if it happened yesterday. "Remember when you and I were in Roon? I was telling you that perhaps you needed a vacation, that you would be welcome here any time." Chuckling at the thought before rolling his eyes playfully. "You then told me that by the rate things were going, especially when in between something had come up and I asked you if you would be willing to accompany me to Eriadu? You then told me that Anya wouldn't probably be happy with all the changes that I was putting you and her through in the schedules, and I suggested that the next time I returned to Corellia, I would bring her coffee? I just remembered that I never did in fact ever bring her coffee, do you think it is too late to courier a few bean bags of vine coffee to her?" Atlantis asked with a playful expression and grin before taking another sip of his water.

Narrowing her eyes with a playfully puzzled frown when Franz informs her that he has learned of the fruition of the plans his striking friends had made, Ayodele smiles slowly when he has completed his report, lifting an index finger and wagging it from side to side as she shakes her head and clarifies in a teasingly offended tone, "Now, I had no part in the plotting, Franz, save that I not reveal what your striking friends were plotting." Sitting up and lifting her right knee so that she can rest her chin atop it, Ayodele rests her crossed arms over her right ankle as she meets Franz's questioning gaze with an inquisitively arched eyebrow as though to ask what is on his mind as he looks at her with what seems to her to be a thoughtful air.
Smiling when Franz asks the question that had been on his mind, or that had perhaps come to his mind as he looked at her, Ayodele nods to confirm that she has been on worlds other than Polus and Umgul. She has, in fact, been on many times many worlds over the course of her long life; the fact that Ayodele remains essentially unchanged as years march relentlessly forward one reason she has found it necessary to move from one world to the next before the fact time has no dominion over her attracts notice, though it was no always the only reason for her having wandered the universe nearly from one end to the other. As she can hardly reveal the true extent of her travels without revealing more than she wishes to be known at present, Ayodele instead says after a brief pause, "I have been to Serenno, and also to Dantooine. Serenno's rainforests were gorgeous, as were Dantooine's mountains. Turning the question back on him, Ayodele smiles and asks, And you, Franz? What worlds have you been on where you saw sights or had experiences that remain with you even now?"

I nod to indicate my understanding when Atlantis explains the reason he might not swim, briefly considering saying something about how few that do what do are likely to have survived without acquiring a scar or two in an effort to try and make him see that his self consciousness and discomfort - especially here among those that are so close to him - are unnecessary, but ultimately holding my tongue. Ever since what transpired on Bimmisaarai I have felt as though I am in no position to advise others about anything, much less instruct others as I used to do.
Smiling gratefully as I accept the bottled water Atlantis offers after describing what he has been up to recently, I shrug with a half smile when asked what I have been up to, almost apologetically explaining, "Meditation, primarily, when asked what I have been up to myself; an abbreviated and incomplete answer necessitated by the no drama clause in effect for the day, though I suspect my own natural reluctance to burden others with problems that are mine alone to carry and confront would mean I would answer similarly even were the clause not in effect. Not very exciting, I add with an apologetic smile before availing myself of the change in subject Atlantis had knowingly or unknowingly offered as I smile and say in an amused tone, And I can always act as courier for the coffee should you decide the time has come to see that Anya gets it as offered. Taking the cap from the bottle of water, I take a drink, Tchin, my right lekku, idly curling and uncurling its prehensile tip around my bicep as I try to think of a topic that does not court violating the no drama rule for the day. Assuming that the topic is safe enough, I ask, So, how do you know the Calmcacil family?"

Lakehouse - Pool
Franz narrowed his eyes the same way Ayodele did, and smirked while listening to her explanation. Tapping his lips with his index finger, he looked at Lily mainly before glancing back at Ayodele. "I am not well versed in the legal lexicon, but doesn't that theoretically makes you an accessory to that, therefore in some ways still part of the plot?" Franz was just teasing of course and it showed by his expression and chuckle he had soon after. He waved his hand though to either way just give her the point and he just raised his hands in surrender. "But fair enough." Taking a chug of his beer, he placed the bottle back by the table and looked at her as she spoke about the other planets she had visited, he had never been to Serenno but Dantooine, yes he did, it was actually the planet where he had found his first crystal lightsaber.
It seemed like a long time ago but those were still good memories since that had been where he and the Vyridians were together. Franz looked at the brothers momentarily and smiled at the memories that resurfaced, one that really stood out in particular it was how Andros and Atlantis were still really alike they could have been mistaken for doppelgangers...
After his short reverie, Franz looked back at Ayodele with a knowing smile. "Dantooine, is one of the planets I have been, but it was so long ago, the memories are still there," He said with a warm smile but at the same time his eyes seemed sad for deep inside he knew that perhaps he might not find those instances again, but it was done and he knew he shouldn't hold onto those but sometimes it felt nice to remember those happy memories. "There is Naboo, twice, the first was for a mission so to speak and the second time, just to be there for a friend," He explained softly looking at Elika in particular and he was grateful that she really did land back on her feet and seemed happier. "And there was Anobis because Atlantis was often there, Haruun Kal because of another friend whenever they needed assistance and then in the Unknown Regions before I came here." Surely he had been to other places he was sure of it and when his gaze landed on Andros, that was then and there he remembered. "Right and there was Anzat too." Franz finally said thoughtfully. "I would say that I wasn't often for the sights but more because I was needed to be there, if that makes sense?"

When Elika put it that way, it really was the truth, here or inside of the government building, Lily did sound AG all the way, but then again compared to the stories Lana had heard about Lily in her department, how the attorney was here was only just the minimum. "Mmmm, now that you do mention it, my Shakal, you are right, I definitely see it..." Lana looked at Lilly with an innocent expression before smiling still innocently as she attentively listened to the marinade suggestions as they were soon joined by Crystal who had suggested to make two types, or three by Elika's own suggestion.
Why not indeed, it was safer that way? Or another option was just to grill the meats without marinades and just add the type of sauce onto the meat by anyone who wished their dish a particular way? That was also an option. Or another option, like Franz had mentioned ask the children to play tiebreaker so to speak, though Lana had looked at the man hug the three friends affectionately and warmly. For a reason that was unknown to Lana but something told her that perhaps he was quite aware that cakes were being made, as after all he was holding a beer bottle that he did not have earlier.
Before Lana could get onto Lily's suggestion to ask the children, she turned to look at Elika as she kept a hold of her hand preventing her first from going to the kitchen just yet. "I do believe that, not only will I keep you company but I will also help you out in the kitchen, that is if you are okay with that, my Shakal?" Lana asked playfully and teasingly with a smile...

"Why don't you take care of the side dishes, sweetie, that is if you are comfortable with that and I will deal with the marinade?" Crystal suggested sincerely, after all to be perfectly honest, she didn't mind one bit at all, she was happy to help and cooking to her wasn't a chore. "Unless you prefer the other way around?" She asked softly but before she could go on, Franz had stepped out onto the deck and hugged her, Lily but also Elika. Crystal looked at him dubiously wondering what that was about but then she rolled her eyes playfully having an inkling on why he did that. Though she said nothing for now and listened to his suggestion, taking note of that and it was a very valid point, after all often times children were the ones who preferred certain taste.
Smiling as Crystal watched him leave, and soon shaking her head playfully, she looked back at her friends before grinning. "I bet he is very aware that cakes are being baked in the kitchen." Turning to look at Lily and remembering her comment about Ares managing or not to put the final touches on the cake, Crystal rolled her eyes playfully again and nudged her friend. "All of us will only have you to blame for that Baby Girl, after all, it'll be because of you," Winking playfully at her childhood friend, Crystal soon turned to look at the children in the pool and also had in mind to also ask Michelle in particular.
But soon her attention returned to her friends there, knowing that perhaps this would be a moment for Elika and Lana to have a moment on their own in the kitchen, though that thought made her inwardly smirk, as Crystal was pretty sure that it started there in a way, someway somehow. "Why don't you two take care of the side dishes inside, and I will take care of the marinades, here." It wasn't a suggestion there, Crystal just smiled before turning around and headed towards the pool, at least where the two children were in the pool.
"Hi you two, I wanted to ask you a question." Crouching on the edge of the pool while looking at both Lukas and Morgan with a friendly smile, she finally asked her question. "What type of saucing you prefer with your meat, more salty or sweet, or nothing at all?"
