From around the solar orbit of Iridonia's moon was Angel's fleet, in continuous encircling of the planets, with occasional docking at the space station on the moon:
Flagship: 1 Nebula-class Star Destroyer "Nova" Star Frigates: 2 Bothan Assault Cruiser "Firestorm" and "Inferno" Cruisers: 2 MC140 Scythe-class battlecruisers "Excelsior" and "Starlancer" Frigates: 4 Carrack-class light cruiser "Penumbra", "Omen", "Meteor", "Stygian" Corvettes: 4 Lancer-class frigates "Meteor", "Abyss", "Broadside", "Fusillade" Support: 4 Action VI bulk freighters "A1", "B2, "C3, "D4" Heavy Fighter: 8 BTL-S8 K-Wings Light: 16 X-83 Twintail starfighters, 16 TIE Predators
Seriously, how many people can stand living in that sun? It's blinding enough whenever we rotate! Or even the cold in the dark side of the planet?
That's why there's a twilight meridian and its surrounding area that determines the intensity of sun and moonlight that makes it habitable. Now enough with your bantering. That's why we Zabrak are tough. We can survive in the terrains on either side. Now enough of your bantering.
From the Northeast, behind his fleet, Angel's new ship, "The Skydance" broke out and shot into hyperspace.
Sir something really fast just popped out of the planet and shot away! Should I send the Twintails after it?
Admiral Ouc walked over and smacked the console technician with the newspaper he was reading.
You idiot, that's our leader. Recognise his ship, or you'll have a very hard time with him. If you think I'm wrathful, wait till you see him.

The stillness of space broke with the arrival of a small fleet out of hyperspace.
1 Endurance-class Star Destroyer - Pluto 1 Nebula-class Star Destroyer - The Dauntless 1 Majestic-class heavy cruiser - The Phoenix Song
Sith Lord of Iridonia, Darth Romulus, stood at the command module of his flagship; The Phoenix Song. He looked down onto the planet.
My lord, we've detected another fleet of starships nearby. Their signal belongs to Lord Angel.
So... You're here. Angel.
Romulus turned and began walking off, speaking to his Necrosis-class droid general as he walked.
I'm heading down to the academy with Serina. Wait for further instructions.
Exia bowed as Romulus exited the command module. Soon, he was in the hanger. Serina, his personal assistance droid, stood by his personal ship, The Grey Unending. Today, Serina was in her usual holographic form of a well-endowed female human in her mid-20s. Romulus boarded the ship, with Serina following behind. He got comfortable in the cockpit, pushed a few buttons, and the Grey Unending left the hanger, heading towards the academy building.

The "Skydance" leapt into orbit out of lightspeed, to a view of a completely new fleet, substantially smaller than Angel's own, but still bore friendly signals.
So it seems my old apprentice has arrived.
Angel punched in preprogrammed landing instructions for the Academy, and his autopilot steered him to his designated landing pad.
On the bridge of Angel's ship, Admiral Ouc smacked the same newbie console technician again with his newspaper when the technician probed about pursuing the "new inbound bogey".
By the sun of Iridonia, if you don't lighten up, I'll need to find a permanent replacement for you.
*to himself* Heh. Sun. Lighten up. My puns are getting far too light... heh. Another pun.

Screaming out of the atmosphere, the 'Skydance' leapt into orbit within seconds. Feeling a gravity shear rip through his affected ribs, Angel winced in pain as he went to apply a heavy bacta patch on his broken ribs.
Slower Geenine. My chest can't take too many hits.
Slowing as the droid plotted a course for Kashyyyk, the 'Skydance' zipped into hyperspace as Angel finally applied and sat back down at the cockpit.

The Grey Unending flew into the hanger bay of The Phoenix Song, and Romulus immediately headed for the Command Bridge. He entered to see his droid commander, General Exia, standing by the window,
General, mobilize the fleet. We're heading for Arkania.
Yes my Lord.
Exia went about to organizing the fleet. Romulus sat down in a plush chair and accessed the control panel. Typing into the keyboard, he rung up The Dauntless. On a nearby large monitor, the face of another of Romulus' commanders appeared.
Yuan, prepare our forces for an invasion. I want 2 CR25s prepped up, 3 MAATs in each, loaded with troopers. And tell the Sky Knives to standby.
No problem, my Lord.
The screen faded to black, and Romulus spun himself round to face the front. The preparations were now ready.
Let's go. To Arkania.
And with that, Romulus' small fleet of 3 ships jumped into hyperspace.

Angel's majestic fleet rounded the other moon and received a holo-message from Angel.
Admiral. Four freighters should be ascending from Wortan at any moment now. Plot half of our fleet to occupy Ziost with them. I will rendezvous with them personally when I am done with personal business. You and the other half stay on Iridonia to continue setting up our space defenses.
At once, my Lord.
The Admiral prepared the "Firestorm" and "Excelsior" as the flagship and assistant of the invasion force. He also released two frigates and two corvettes as support class ships. The escort for the transports were all sixteen Twintail fighters.
Once the fleet broke in to the segments, the invasion force leapt into lightspeed for Ziost.

The 'Red Nine,' so-called because of the panel aft of the dorsal hatch scavenged from a Cor-Sec patrol craft which once bore the numeral '9,' long gone -- dropped out of Hyperspace and angled in toward Iridonia. Her crimson hull reflected the ever-present sunlight as the pilot flew toward the meridian of day and night, and descended toward the skeleton of Wortan. He would only break radio silence if directly addressed. Otherwise, he hoped this would be quick-in, quick-out.
"R9 -- activate RF jammers and stealth package."
Down they descended, through cloud and wind shear strong enough to rip the wings off lesser craft, entering the perpetual twilight and gloom of post-war Wortan. The Hunter's beacon guided the craft past buildings that stood as if testing the boundaries of the laws of physics: less open wounds that nearly cleaved buildings in two, only to be scabbed back together with whatever came to hand. What remained of the city was more rubble, than architecture. Kaarn liked this place quite a lot.
The small fighter descended to the roof of a long-deserted structure, one that the Hunter had used for this very purpose three times before. (He always rotated temporary landing sites to avoid keen eyes.) Powering down, He activated the ship's internal / external defenses, and reminded R9X4 to keep a vigilant eye for thieves or scavengers. He would return in less than twelve hours.
Gearing up, the young Nagai closed the ship's belly hatch and disappeared into the ruins.

Angel's fleet was too busy constructing the space defenses necessary for Iridonia to notice the ship that had passed down to Wortan. They had almost all the necessary satellites under the capital ship's storage bays; complete construction and retrofitting was still underway.
The main issue was the orbital defense platform. Slowly but surely, they were building atop each other; emplacements and turbolaser tower batteries. The rudimentary framework was already in place; they worked now on making cohesive levels. The smaller ships hovered in and out carrying the personnel and parts necessary, all on the capital ship. The station looked about 25% done.

The Red Nine pulled steeply out of atmo, thrusting ahead at full power while her sole occupant read the contents of a very interesting datachip. Ideas formed in the Hunter's mind. Several were put aside, others tossed into the airlock of waste disposal, labelled unproductive or too hazardous. But there were two thoughts that loomed large in the foreground of the Hunter's mind. There would be time to decide.
A red light illuminated, signalling the all-clear for hyperspace, and the Red Nine disappeared into the stars...

Station was at 65% completion. Most of the satellites were constructed, and being primed and retrofitted for launch. Coordinate emplacements were still in calculation.

Station was at 90% completion. The first half of satellites were being primed for launch. In time, this station would produce the defense fleets for the planets that were owned by the empire.

Station was at 100% completion. Power was already being installed. Crews worked shift after shift relentlessly to establish operational power within, and convert the insides to a hospitable and habitable place. The entire exoskeleton was complete, and its massive frame towered over the flagship that was docking at its new bay to provide a stream of workers, sentient and droids, to work on the station interior. The other ships in the fleet had docked in the place to distribute the necessary personnel to otherwise inconvenient to reach places. The workers set out to connect docking bay to docking bay and map out the entire defense platform, and allocate certain areas for the fleet construction bays, to the military command centre, to the living quarters of the crew to work within, to the defense systems. There was a lot to be done in the interior to turn it from a massive shell to an indispensable defense platform for Iridonia. Ships were coming to and fro from the planet to provide the necessary crews and resources necessary to sustain the entire working manpower.

Interior design was at 40% completion. The place was already hospitable, but not habitable yet. It didn't have that "homely" feel for the space crew that would be operating the orbiting platform. However its mechanical unwelcomeness began to feel a bit more rustic as the interior walls and digital corridor mapping was slowly getting more colours superimposed over its mechanical steel framework.
The mass satellite launch was temporarily put on hold as the entire fleet's effort was devoted to the defense platform, in order to make sure Iridonia had its official fleet, as would its subsidiary planets under the Iridonia banner. Angel's personal fleet certainly wouldn't be able to stand alone in an invasion force.

Interior design at 65% completion. Gone was the metallic feel, yet the environment was as of yet inconducive for bringing in operational equipment and things. All the routes and mapping had been planned and routed already. Several droids set out to work on making the transition from ship to hangar bay to station interior more ergonomic. Several droid crews could be seen magnetised to the exterior of the station itself to weld together perceived integrity fractures or weaknesses in initial construction, so that the structure was stable and wouldn't break apart without warning.

A K-Wing carrying Tempest, Angel's Sith Inquisitor apprentice, and his new acklay, launched out of hyperspace and made an immediate descent toward the Academy.

The same lone K-Wing rose out of the atmosphere, carrying two different Sith cargo this time. The two dark magicians, Requiem and Mentis, and they reversed course and set for Ziost. Seconds later, they winked into lightspeed.

The ships of Void Command exited hyperspace above the harsh Zabrak homeworld. First Order High Admiral Viox Savage was sitting in his raised command chair on the bridge of the Nebula-Class Star Destroyer, Legacy of the Void, reviewing all information he had about he planet.
The majority of the information available was out dated, but it proved enough to make for his assault to happen. Normally recon forces would be sent in to gather intel and report back, however, Savage was a close ally to one of the previous rulers of the planet, a Kaminoan-Zabrak hybrid know as Count Kamy. Kamy had been an ally of the Tyrian Triumvirate back in its day. He offered support and gifts from the Motherland. He also supported the Triumvirate with ships and soldiers when the time came. He was practically a brother to Viox. Though he hadn't spoken to the Count in years, he was certain the Count would welcome him. After all he didn't wish to come here as a tyrannical invader. He wanted to assimilate Iridonia into the First Order. He came as a brother willing to talk to a brother. Sure he showed up with his entire fleet, but that was more for show then actual enforcement. As Savage reviewed his speech to the Count, an officer at the tactical salon spoke up.
"Sir! We've got eight ships and one orbital defense platform on our long range scopes."
Savage sat up straighter.
A lone defense platform and only eight ships? That made no sense to him. If Count Kamy was still leader of the planet, there would be a massive fleet in orbit, with all ships sporting the golden marks that defined them.
"Demand these ships identify themselves immediately. Otherwise they will be regarded as hostile and we'll be forced to fire upon them."
The officer at the communications relay station snapped to it and did as was ordered. Before a reply could be, the ship shuddered and klaxons blared. Savage rose to his feet, angrily.
"Bring the forward deflectors up to maximum and power up all weapons systems. Have the fleet spread out and prepare to engage the enemy. Tactical, get me an update on the enemy ships. It appears we aren't welcome."
The fleet began to spread out and exchange a few shots before a report was brought back to Savage. The Officer read off the report.
"Sir, the enemy fleet consists of one Victory II-Class Star Destroyer, two Dauntless-Class Heavy Cruisers, two Vindicator-Class Heavy Cruisers, three Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruisers and one FireStar-Class Orbital Defense Station."
A malevolent grin crossed the High Admiral's lips.
"All ahead full. Deploy fighters and engage the enemy ships. They've made their choice. Leave none alive."
The officer saluted him and returned to his post. Savage straightened out his uniform and seated himself upon his command chair. He leaned back in the chair and steeped his hands together, waiting expectantly for the enemy to feel the full wrath of the First Order.

As the ships of Void Command spread out and move into attack formation, the defenses of Iridonia were already bearing down on them. the Victory II-Class Star Destroyer at the head of the small fleet. The Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruisers were in loose formation behind the Vic II. Behind them, the remaining four ships followed.
Since the collapse of the Iridonian Empire, and the subsequent disappearance of its leaders, the Iridonian people rallied behind a few important government officials and deigned to govern themselves. While not as wealthy as the former leaders, the Iridonians put together what they could and formed a fleet and significant sized ground force. All of this was so Iridonia had a way of defending itself from attack in the wake of the IE's collapse. The Iridonians had become very distrusting of outsiders after they felt abandoned by the IE's leaders. So now they were reluctant to speak with anyone.
The commanding officer on the Vic II ordered the fleet to launch its fighters and engage the enemy. Despite being out numbered and outmatched against the First Order ships, they weren't going down without a fight.
On the bridge of the Void.
High Admiral Savage sat slouched in his chair, impatiently drumming the metallic fingers of his left hand on the armrest. The ship was now within optimal firing range. The Tac Officer spoke up.
"Sir. We've got a firing solution on the Vic II."
At that, Savage sat up straighter.
"Prioritize vulnerabilities on the ship and fire at will!"
Within seconds of the order being issued, the Void opened up on the Vic II. The shields on the enemy ship flared as the turbolaser rounds impacted harmlessly against them. As the results filtered in, Savage shifted in his seat.
"Launch an Ion barrage and switch to salvo firing."
The ship shuddered as several shots impacted with the shields. However, they held true and negated any damage for the time being. Moments later, the Void's Ion batteries fired a round at the enemy ship. Following the ion barrage, the forward facing heavy dual turbolasers and the standard turbolaser batteries began firing in salvos at the enemy ship.

The Victory II-Class Star Destroyer opposite the First Order Fleet was sporting a fair amount of damage. It was spouting flames out of several hull breaches. The Legacy of the Void, however, was unscathed from the encounter. But now, High Admiral Savage was growing bored.
Savage turned to the officer at the tactical salon.
'Have our Vic II's move up and engage the enemy fleet in our stead. I want to being surface operations within the hour. Have the Marauders support the Vic II's and have our Immobilizers spread out and engage interdiction fields. Nothing escapes us. On our way down, let's take care of the FireStar."
The Tac Officer acknowledged orders and began carrying out his appointed tasks. Savage leaned back and closed his eyes. He extended his perceptions outwards, towards the planet below. His senses brushed up against a lot of the usual, but there were a few key pieces that didn't fit.
Three presences stood out over the rest. All of them were powerful and one had a tantalizingly familiarity to it. As if he knew them. But he couldn't be sure. The other two presences were different. Lighter than expected. And then, just on the edge of his perceptions, something else was lurking, but he couldn't quite place what it was. Regardless of how the Force felt around this world, he was going to take it. And not just for the First Order, but for himself. He had plans for Iridonia, and the First Order wasn't going to get in the way of them. For as much respect as he had for Nicademus leading the lot of them this far, he also hated answering to a human with no ties to the Sith. It was a major drawback, but for now Viox followed willingly. Once he began initiating his plans, the First Order wasn't going to stop him. He had no intentions of actively fighting them, but if they got in his way, he would. Though he hoped it wouldn't come to that. But for now, it was all speculation and theorizing. Until he was in possession of the planet, all he had was idle planning.
The Void angled away from the enemy Vic II as the four Vic II's, supported by the three Marauders moved up to engage the enemy fleet. As the Void disengaged the fleet and drew closer to the planet, it purposely moved into the FireStar's line of fire. Being a ship of it's size, the FireStar wasn't the least bit concerning. Savage opened his eyes as the ship shuddered under fire from the FireStar.
"Focus all fire on that platform. It's shields cannot withstand a direct assault from this vessel. Alternate all batteries to salvo firing. We'll hammer away the station's shields."
And the Void then loosed fire upon the station. Turbolaser and Ion fire hammered the station relentlessly. It's shields, while stronger than a capital ship, were no match for the salvo fire of the Void's arsenal. Soon, the shields were breached and the station itself was under fire.
