The Starhunter pulled out of the polluted atmosphere before blinking off into hyperspace.

The area of space close to the moon of Nar Shaddaa was its usual motley collection of spacecraft ranging from the dilapidated to the shiny and new, from large bulk haulers to single man fighters. Flight plans and regulations were a myth, courtesy and right of way foreign concepts. That there weren't more collisions and accidents was testimony to luck as much as it was to the skill of the nefarious pilots who frequented the place, the chaotic tableau somehow adhering to a delicate balance that writhed and twined like some deep sea monster, tentacles seemingly swaying in tandem and never actually coming into contact.
Into this maelstrom the Cats Paw soared, breaking free of the moons gravity as if shrugging out of a summer dress to run free and naked through golden wheat fields, prancing euphorically over soft, moss-covered ground. She feared not the tumultuous scramble, being at one with the myriad web of commotion and traffic, weaving effortlessly between her brethren of freighter and hauler, dipping her nose at fighter and cruiser. In the cockpit the pilot, also a product of such unstructured routines, joined with her ship in the turbulent dance, their partnership a symbiotic mating of woman and machine. Both were at home. Both at ease. Navigating their backyard with reckless abandon and joyous gusto...
No so the man in the copilot seat who gripped the arms of the chair with a white-knuckled grip, teeth clenched beneath a set jaw, eyes wide through terror and fixed on the madness outside the viewport. He swayed with each maneuver. Yelped with each close call. Never taking his dilated pupils away from the speeding ride as if unable to look away.
For all the ship and the pilots comfort and poise Maraak matched them in his disquiet and agitation, living in stark contrast to to all things reckless. While here disorganisation and haphazardness ruled the roost the Mandalorian preferred a meticulous and precisely planned operation. Order was something he cherished, a nice and tidy structure, neat and carefully laid out. True, like any military man he knew that plans and tactics could fall apart as soon as the first shot was fired but strategic planning for as many eventualities that could be imagined was still paramount to a successful endeavor. To just bounce and react from moment to moment was anathema to him, and so it was that their mad flight from Nar Shaddaaa had him pale-faced and beaded with sweat.
"Watch it... watch it... You arrreeeeeeeowww!"
His jammed his head back onto the headrest of the copilot seat as the Cats Paw slipped tightly beneath the slate-grey hull of a cargo hauler, so close that Maaraak was sure he'd seen a guy brushing his teeth through a porthole. Face tight and breath coming in gasps he immediately flinched to his left as the ship narrowly missed a protruding sensor station, whipping around the obstacle and accelerating off at an obtuse angle tot heir previous vector.
"Crate! Crate! Watch the craaaaaaaaiiiii..."
His wail choked off into a strangled scream as Kirith stood the ship up on its starboard end, passing between a couple of cargo crates being pushed along by a tug, whistling though with barely a couple of meters to spare either side. Face tight Maraak clamped down to prevent further outburst as their headlong flight continued, praying to Kad that the nightmare would soon be over.

The pilot in question, one Kirith Aridigo, grinned widely, she had missed this. At some point soon after takeoff the ship had started playing "Kirith's Flying Playlist" - a collection of hard rock that that included the song currently blaring: Hyperlane to Hell, a chorus that she sang along with, loudly.
Glancing over at Maraak, her smile got wider. She seemed to almost take a sadistic enjoyment at Maraak's discomfort. Mostly this was because it was often difficult to find something that made the stoic mandalorian visibly uncomfortable (since Mandos seemed to love working hard to maintain that "I'm a cool tough guy and nothing gets to me behind my mask" attitude - which to be fair was made easier when they hid their expressions behind a mask).
"You know, you could just close your eyes or sit in the back if flying bothers you that much," she called to him over the guitar solo as the ship dodged around a larger space yacht that was popular with the Huttese ruling class.

Maraak snorted out a breath, the exhalation coming out in a snarl due to his still-clenched teeth, and he cast a wry glance across at the grinning woman beside him.
"I don't think so. If we are going to become a durasteel pancake on the side of some cruiser I'd rather see it coming."
Finally they were through the heavy traffic and heading towards open space, another voluminous breath leaving the harried Mando as he worked hard to pry his clenched hands off of the arm rests of the co-pilot seat. A finally shake of the head saw him put the experience behind him and he leaned forward to double check the jump coordinates as Hyperlane to Hell wound down to be replaced by Arkanian Rhapsody.
A smile tugged at his features as the familiar lyrics sang forth, the harmony ringing out through the cockpit. With a side-long glance at the pilot his own voice joined the fray, the tone surprisingly light and steady.
"....no escape from reality."
He closed his eyes and let his head loll slightly as the song paused a beat then snapped his eyelids up and continued..
"Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see..."

"I'm just a poor girl" chimed in Kirith, changing the words slightly to suit her. "I need no sympathy"
The ship pulled out of the lower orbit traffic, accelerating towards the escape velocity of Nar Shaddaa.
"Because I'm easy come, easy go. . ."
Out of the gravity influence of the moon and the planet it orbited, Kirith reached over to the nav computer to begin calculations for the jump to hyperspace.
". . .Little high, little low"
The console dinged, indicating the calculations were complete. Glancing at Maraak to make sure he was ready, she put her hand on the lever as the intro to Arkanian Rhapsody crescendoed to fill the cockpit.
"Anywhere the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me. . ."
Kirith pulled the lever, and as the stars started to blur together and the g-forces pushed her back into her seat, she added with a dramatic flourish of her left hand:
"Toooo meeeeeeeeeeeee"

The Pelta-class Frigate dropped out of hyperspace above Nar Shaddaa. The ship moving into a holding orbit above New Vertica. Rawkill looked out through the shield separating them from the vacuum of space. His gaze lingering upon the brightly glowing spot that was New Vertica. Some of the most notorious criminals and gangsters in the universe called this moon their home. But there was little he could do about all of them. The Galactic Alliance needed them in this war against the First Order. They also lacked the man power for such an operation. The Ewok Jedi Master turned his attention to Serenity SageAre you ready for this?

Having set Bean into passive mode, the droid's head had retracted until he looked like a slight extension of the jet pack. Her protective hood drawn over her head, clad in a orange sleeveless tunic, long trousers and arm wraps, Red looked fairly monk-like, but not too obviously a Jedi, or Jedi in training more like. Nevertheless, the grim set of her face seemed an answer to the Ewok Jedi. but she nodded at him and rose from her seat, “I am, master,” said Red, “I have gone over the files of the Honest Liar, and I have memorized the details of the missing Padawans and Younglings. Will it be just the two of us?”
Her lightsaber was hidden out of sight within Bean's compartment storage.

Rawkill nodded appreciatively. He was not surprised by Red's thoroughness. He also respected her ability to read such information and maintain her composure. He had forced himself through all of it. Knowing that the missing Padawans and Younglings would be freed from their imprisonment soon To begin with, it will just be the pair of us scouting it out. But if we need backupm The Hammer will be sitting in orbit on standby, ready to deploy back up or provide orbital fire on any target we need to crack open... If you don't mind, take the controls and fly us down. I'm afraid such a craft has not been modified to accommodate my... height... Rawkill turned toward the fairly generic looking shuttle and motioned for Red to go first. Pulling his cloak further over his shoulders to hide his Jedi robes

“Okay,” said Red, obediently heading for the shuttle's cockpit.
The crimson-skinned girl was very short herself, as far as near-humans went, and was considered by many to be tiny for her age. She wasn't the most adept at piloting craft, and was more at home in an engineering compartment, listening to the thrum of a ship's song. To feel the soul of a vessel. Nevertheless, the odd Moving Meditation, as Red had been doing even unknowingly back in the day, helped her to develop a bond of sorts with the ship under her controls. As she powered it, and lifted off the deck, she coaxed more than pushed the ship to move in the intended direction, and soon had them on a descent through the polluted atmosphere of one of the more unpleasant planets in existence.
“Master,” said Red, “I'm...feeling ill at ease...the same way I felt when Ran Nasser was lying to us. Is that normal for a place like this?”
Now that she had been opened up to the existence of the Force within her, Red had begun to notice things that she once overlooked when she was younger.

An aging Skipray Blastboat exits hyperspace just outside of Nal Hutta's gravity well and makes it's way tot he moon of Nar Shaddaa. On board the pilot can't help but let out a long yawn. The blastboat's slightly modified hyperdrive system had given them good time from Tatooine but even sohe had been awake for far too long. He hadn't quite been able to bring himself to nap on the journey over. Maybe it had something to do with the confessed criminal and generally dangerous person who he hardly knew that was on the ship with him, but who knows.
We're here. Now what part of this garbage dump are we looking for? He asks over his shoulder, his voice loud enough to carry to whatever part of the small ship Auri was in. Sure she had said this was her home, but there was nothing else Patrick could think to call the city covered moon, and he wasn't about to soften things up, even if he still wasn't sure that Auri wasn't going to just kill him and take his ship. Hell maybe just brought him here as any easy place to kill him, or it was all an elaborate trap. Well in any case he was too far into it now, he'd have to roll with whatever happens.

Auri staggered into the cockpit and fell into the seat beside Patrick, pushing her messy hair back out of her bleary eyes, she tried and failed to smother a yawn. "Those bunks aren't comfy, do you know that?" She'd slept like a baby all the way here, glad of somewhere safe to lay her head a while, she considered it strange that she trusted Patrick so easily, she'd never trusted anyone in her post-waking life except for maybe Dark, but he had vanished like the rest of the people she'd called family in her life.
Stretching out and putting her feet up on the console, she grinned and looked over at her pilot, a little bit hopeful that he might be annoyed by her. "Where else would a money loving girl like me live? I'm in the refugee quarter like the rest of the washed up flotsam with no where to go. You'll love it, it's so warm and snuggly there." Her gold eyes flashed with amusement, "Or are you going to just drop me and run like all the men in my life do... and a few of the women to be fair."

Patrick chuckled a little as she mentioned the uncomfortable nature of the bunks. This was an old combat ship, they hadn't exactly had luxury in mind when they built her. He tried and failed to keep a flicker of annoyance from his face as she put her feet up on he console. He quickly locked out that work station so that she couldn't intentionally or otherwise mess up their decent. He began to pull the ship slowly into the atmosphere at the direction of a rather informal planetary control tower before he looked over at here with a blank expression on his face.
I've known you for barely a day. I gave you a ride after watching you shooting a man down in the middle of a crowded bar. If I dropped you off and left it wouldn't exactly be abandoning you. Abandonment implies a responsibility for you that I don't have. He didn't intend to leave her alone on the surface, but he also needed to make it clear right now that just because he gave her a ride and was nice to her didn't make them partners.

Auri smiled to herself as she caught the flicker of annoyance on his face, she loved to be annoying, or rather she loved a reaction whatever that reaction was. Sighing she looked back out to the surface that was taking up more of the view than the stars that were being left behind. She wasn't sorry to see them go, she was much more of a fan of solid ground than sailing around in ships. "Admit it though, you've known me hardly any time but you like me, and you get lonely drifting around on your own. It's not you to be apart from people, I can sense your need for company." She didn't really care if she was wrong, she had gotten a reaction to her comments about him leaving her and she was going to keep pressing the subject, it was the closest she'd come to genuine conversation with Patrick so far. He had become emotional about something, even if he did try and hide it in his face. "Anyway I don't need someone to be responsible for me, hey I'm not even responsible for myself most of the time. Anyway... I've kind of forgotten the point to this, so you going to come back to my place or not?"She grinned and glanced over at him, she had never invited anyone back before, mostly because she other than one person she had never had anything resembling a friend but also because anything in the refugee district wasn't normally worth taking someone to see. She wondered why with Patrick it was different, she had been the most honest with him than she had with anyone in her "post-waking" life and she didn't know why. Perhaps she just wanted something she had never really had, a friend. Someone that stood on equal terms with her, no power over her, no wanting of romance, just there to talk to and be herself for a change. It was refreshing.

Coming from Nal Hutta, the Hutt Cartel's seat of power, two Y146 Slave Transports descended to the surface of Nar Shaddaa, intent on gathering up the slaves that were being sold from Nasir D'Nar's stock, as part of the Cartel's payment. And accompanying the slaves on the ships, would be Zordo's Slavemaster, the Trandoshan known as Vrossk Kodra.

-Some years before the raid on the Felucian Base-
A lone RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor entered orbit from within hyperspace. After waiting for a bit and hearing no radio chatter, the lone ship began its descent towards the smugglers moon.

A sole light freighter enters orbit from Nar Shaddaa's surface. The ship pauses for a moment, seemingly attempting to lock coordinates -- or perhaps some form of unpleasant technical difficulties. After but a moment of floating within the Smuggler's Moon's orbit, the craft finally makes the jump to hyperspace in the direction of Felucia.

Thanks to the funding of the Hutt Cartel, Nasir was able to utilize the shipyards on Nal Hutta to upgrade his fleet of slavers, mercenaries, and fellow Zygerrians. Nar Shaddaa now had a proper fleet defending its orbit, led by the trademarked flagship of the slaver, a Providence-class Destroyer. The fleet had been completely overhauled, augmented with a pair of Dreadnaught-class Cruisers, a duo of Kossak-class Frigates, a couple of Ajuur-class Heavy Cruisers, a formation of Imperial II-class Frigates, and finally a flotilla of Raider-class Corvettes. Nasir was quite thankful for the patronage of Mighty Zordo.

The Hammer rose up out of the planet's atmosphere, before making its way past the traffic around the planet to get beyond the gravity well of Nar Shaddaa. Once clear, the hyperdrive engaged and caused the Pelta-class Frigate to disappear in a blur of motion

A single YX-1980 emerged from hyperspace and made a beeline for the planet below. Its pace was quick, never once stopping. Any ships that happened to be in its path was greeted with a close encounter as it barely dodged them as it made its approach.
Inside, a panicked crew talked among themselves as theybtried to figure out what was next.
"Damn it. What the hell are we going to do. The other team got caught by the First Order before they could get off the ground. They'll get the location out of them, I just know it. Soon they'll be after us!"
"Calm down, would you? I'm thinking. Don't worry about it. Just get ready to move the crystals the moment we land."
The man got up from his seat as he headed for the xargo bays to inform the others
"Damn it, damn it, damn it. We shouldn't have taken the job. I knew we shouldn't have tried to steal from the First Order."

A passenger vessel drops from hyperspace, entering the shipping lanes in orbit around the planet. one of the passengers is lost in the crowd of bodies, and not eager to be found. The ship dips towards a landing dock to allow passengers to disembark.
