Fredericksburg, VA. aka Fred-Vegas, or F'rednecks'burg. I shit you not, Fredericksburg is like..the border between northern and southern VA. You go North, you find all the overly intellectualized liberals (probably because you get that much closer to DC). The further south you go past Fredericksburg (Caroline County/Spotsylvania/Bowling Green), you get to all the assault/rifle wielding conservative rednecks. There's also, I believe, certain spiritual significance of the city, but I won't talk about that. It's seriously a major hub and melting pot of sorts that no one expects, but makes perfect sense once you've been here long enough. What you mean is, its the only almost civilized part of Virginia beyond the Seven Cities. VB represent.  |

I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. But I was raised in Woodville (pop. 600, middle-of-nowhere.) Born in Peterborough, UK.

Our beer store was a trailer. Someone broke in during the summer of '94, so they up and rolled it on outta town. No more beer.
