"Nothing goes right. Period." She replied dully, blinking as he got even fuzzier around the edges. She took another sip from her glass. Was this three? Two? Five? She set it down and pushed it away from her. "Thanks," she reached over and placed her hand lightly on his, hardly touching him before withdrawing.
"Fighting...is overrated. Kaelan." She wasn't even aware that she'd dropped the honorific title when she addressed him, as a prickle of awareness crept up her spine and made the back of her neck tingle. Someone else was here, someone that paid them more attention than the usual passing glance. And he seemed to be trying to blend in. But he ordered water. In a canteen. Alexis blinked.
"We've got company a couple tables over," she looked over her shoulder, but the motion made the room spin a bit before settling into its usual murky solidarity.

Atton nodded but didn't say anything when she thanked him, though he wasn't sure he had done much. Then again, sometimes all one needed to do was to just listen for a little while. At least he could say he had helped, if only a tiny little bit.
He nodded again when she told him fighting was overrated, and he didn't need to be told that more than once."You don't gotta tell me..."He noticed that she had forgotten to address him as Master, which probably meant that the alcohol was really starting to affect her. She had already on her third glass and some of the signs of intoxication were starting to appear. She was lucky he was here. Some other Knights would have cut her off before she even had a chance to finish the first drink...but he decided not to say anything about it.
He noticed the newcomer, a stranger with a hood over his face and he shook his head slightly. The stranger wasn't bothering them or anyone else so he didn't pay much attention. He turned back to Alexis."Leave him be."

Louy noticed the two at the bar shift their attention toward him but he ignored them. He first started shifting his focus of his Force Sight from group to group within the Canteen. Louy was trying to study the movements of the people, as best he could, to try and learn what he could from it. Soon however, he realized how little his Force Sight was assisting him in this endeavor and stopped using it. The glow in his eyes faded out and he concentrated on his other senses and the Force.
With his increased sense of hearing, Louy listened to those around him. He was not focusing on what people were saying, but instead their footsteps, volume, and tones were of more interest to him. It would help tell him the mood, alertness, and preparedness among other things. He wanted to get a read on how prepared those present were if they were attacked and what he might need to correct or compliment. Louy had only taught students one at a time, never a group. He tried to gather as much information as he could to come up with a game plan for how he will teach.
Your food, sir.
Louy got caught up in his thoughts and forgot about his food. He summoned up his Force Sight again just in time to see the tray of food being placed in front of him. He thanked the droid as it left and began the task of figuring out what the food was. Without the aid of color, his Force Sight did little to decipher the mush in front of him. He threw caution to the wind, grabbed a utensil, and dug in. Having found it acceptable Louy once again turned his attention to others in the room as he ate.

Alexis reached into her pocket to find the right credit chips to pay with. For some reason that took much more effort and concentration than she had anticipated. She dropped the correct amount on the counter with a clink.
"Find somewhere to sleep," she vaguely informed Kaelan. It wasn't clear whether she was telling him to find somewhere to sleep, or whether she was going to find somewhere to sleep, or whether she was asking him where the guest quarters were.
However, when she slid off the stool to her feet, she blinked dizzily and nearly wound up in a heap on the ground. A clumsy grab at Kaelan's arm being the only thing that stood between her and the floor. Evidently, she had imbibed way too much, but right now, the world seemed like a very warm, cozy place to be, although somewhat blurry and prone to movement...

Atton could see that this girl was now stone drunk as she started to get up, and it was only seconds before she had grabbed onto his arm, and he rolled his eyes a little. She wasn't getting to the dorms without help, and that was what he assumed she had just attempted to do. Standing up, he quickly grabbed her arm to help steady her and keep her from falling. Truth be told, this wasn't the first time he had escorted someone to their room after a bit too much to drink...
He sighed."Come on. I'll take you to your room."

Louy had just finished his food when he saw Alexis stumble out of her seat. He had no intentions of giving either of them any kind of special intention, but he felt that he should check up to make sure everything was alright. He put some credit chips on the table to pay for his meal and walked over toward them. His dimly glowing eyes faintly lit his scarred face from under his hood. Louy approached from behind Atton and put his hand gently on Atton's shoulder.
Is she alright?
Louy spoke quietly as he didn't want to attract the prying eyes and ears of students within the Canteen.

I could feel the world closing in around me. It was disorienting. Right now the only thing keeping me upright was Kaelan's grip on my arm. It was almost like I was floating a few inches above my body. A flash of ghostly white flickered just past the corner of my eye. I shuddered, suddenly cold despite the alcohol flowing through my system. There was a sudden flare of fiery light beyond her, dying just as quickly into a pile of dusty ashes. Blinking didn't help. Shaking my head was a really bad idea. Dimly I felt myself stumble into Kaelan. Somewhere a voice asked if I was alright. But in the midst of the ashes, I suddenly made out a tiny movement--a burst of reddish, gold-orange sprang up scattering dust and ash around, before spreading large wings and taking flight.
The slight padawan slumped against Kaelan, nearly crashing to the floor.

Atton continued to try and keep Alexis from falling, though he was noticing that more and more effort was required to keep the girl on her feet. It wasn't surprising, as she had downed almost three tall glasses of Corellian ale, quite a lot for someone her size. Usually it took four or five big glasses for him...
Turning around to address the hooded man, he noticed that his hood was still up, and it begged the question of why he was hiding his face. His eyes were glowing too, but Atton knew it was Force Sight. Clearly anyone could see that the girl was stone drunk, especially since he was using Force Sight, though that probably didn't help with detecting inebriated persons. He managed to bite his tongue, so to speak, deciding that now wasn't the time for more sarcasm."She's had a bit too much to drink."
Figuring that the hooded man could figure it out from there, Atton quickly turned his attention back to Alexis, who was now very close to simply collapsing onto the floor, if not for the Knight's firm hold on her arm. Needing both arms to keep her upright now, he started walking out of the canteen and down the hallway towards the temple's living area."Let's get you to your room kid."
When all this was done, he intended to pitch a new rule for Padawans here: a two drink maximum or something...

Louy should have guessed that drunkeness was the cause the girl's stumbling, but with the range of emotion he was feeling from here earlier he wanted to make sure it wasn't something more harmful. He lifted his hand of the man's shoulder as he and the girl left toward the living quarters. Feeling that the man had a sufficient handle on the situation, Louy didn't want to interfere further.
Louy looked around the room and the students present continued eating and talking as if nothing happened. Though he wasn't sure if he gathered enough information yet, Louy decided that he was tired of examining the students for now. It had been a while since Louy had trained and so he decided that he would get some practice in. Louy left the canteen and headed towards where he thought the classrooms were.

Seamus lead Kaja into the Canteen, before leading her over to the bar area, taking his own seat at the bar and offering Kaja the one next to him. Seamus then gave a nod to the new bartender, who had been hired to replace the old bartender, who had come under some workplace issues after serving a padawan alcohol. The bartender placed a glass of whiskey on the bar in front of Seamus, before turning to Kaja to see what she wanted So, what can I get for ya? Seamus took a sip of his whiskey, waiting for Kaja to order something, before he returned his attention to her, wondering if there is anything else she might want to divulge about herself So, would I be wrong to assume you are from the Jen'jidai Order?

"The Jen'Jidai served each other, and in so doing, they were free," Kaja interjected quietly. Somewhere along the way, between the infirmary and the canteen, her habitual instinctive blurring of her tattoos and well-defined facial features kicked back in, obscuring her from the prying eyes of others, though so far this seemed to be a pretty quiet place.
The lithe Mirialan slipped gracefully onto the stool next to Seamus and picked up the glass he offered her. She warily eyed the drink within, then sniffed tentatively before tasting it.
"Assumptions get people like you killed," she replied dryly before tossing the rest of the alcohol back and setting the glass upside down on the bar in front of them. "I have many labels."

Seamus nodded in agreement with her interjection as he took a sip of his whiskey, placing it back down on the bar Master Morviael has an interesting view that freedom is only a dream, something I am hard pressed to disagree with. We always serve one master or another, whether it be an overlord with a whip, or it be your spiritual bretheren. Whether we can admit to ourselves this fact, and still live our lives to their fullest, Well that all comes in time, and is something I strive to do everyday... He then smirked in response to Kaja's other remark. In fact, he tried to make as few assumptions as possible, for that very reason It depends upon the situation. In battle, yes. But in a cantina, well I figure it does no harm to make some assumptions... If there is anything you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know... I'd much rather not ask too many questions you'd rather not answer...

"Well, we are in a bar," the Mirialan female pointed out crisply, "so what assumptions are you making? Where is your sense of adventure? Or perhaps you are afraid of me--" she suddenly turned to look at him, before mock shrugging in a fashion meant to appear helpless, "even though you have seen to it that I am unarmed."
Why was she toying with this Seamus character? She had no idea, but it was mildly amusing at the moment. She sighed suddenly. Even this was so different from the Jen'Jidai. She felt no threat from the male sitting next to her. Perhaps that was why she was mildly provoking him.

Seamus smirked at Kaja, somewhat enjoying this conversation now that she was a little more relaxed, as opposed to just about staring him to death Oh, I always have a sense of adventure, why else would I be throwing back a drink with you currently? Currently the only assumptions I am making is that you don't want to kill me at this moment, that you are quite skilled at killing, and that you are most likely from the Jen'Jidai Order. Oh and that any moment, you could easily use the force, or any number of implements within arms reach, to ensure my life came to a swift end. But I wouldn't say I am afraid of you, after all, every man must die one day, So I try to enjoy the moments up until that time, whether it be alone... or with someone else...

Kaja's eyes narrowed. Just exactly was he implying in that last 'not alone' bit? A frown creased the middle of her forehead just over her nose. She was annoyed, and she was annoyed with herself for being annoyed in the first place.
"Oh, I am, and I could, ---and I most definitely have." She smiled very, very slowly across at him. "Mirialans use tattoos to denote goals and such. Mine are a record of kills."
Her old master had kept a highly detailed journal of everyone he had ever killed. He'd almost killed her for looking at it. What had followed thereafter had been entertaining and highly exhausting, though satisfying on many levels of being.

Seamus nodded as Kaja confirmed many of his assumptions about her. To be fair though, they weren't incredible large leaps of logic, which was why he wasn't overly surprised Quite a few kills you have then...I must say the tattoo work is quite remarkable, especially the way the design has been arranged... He picked up his whiskey and drank a little more of it, thinking back to earlier for a moment, before he placed the glass down again, smiling a little as he remembered what he had seen

Kaja smiled oh so very slowly before replying in a low, musical voice, "You know nothing, Seamus Bezeel." She picked up her refilled glass of whiskey and took a sip before setting it back on the counter between the two of them. "I was a dancer," she informed him, with a mischievous twinkle in her dark eyes. She wondered if he'd believe it or not, though she wasn't really concerned one way or the other, as she leaned a bit closer to him.
"So...you have to look at a woman when she's unconscious in order to see anything, do you?" Given that her clothes had been taken and replaced with a drab hospital gown, she guessed intuitively that he'd been the main shaker and mover behind that course of action. And she looked him over slowly before meeting his eyes again. "Good thing you looked when you had the chance."

Seamus had no doubt he was quite uneducated with regards to Kaja and her past, and considering how fit the woman appeared, it was possible she had been a dancer in the past. He wondered if perhaps she had danced for any of her targets, before killing them, as a sort of nice last memory. Some people would be taken aback by her comments, but he took them in good jest. Although he was sure it would lead him into trouble one day, sometimes it was worth living a little and taking some risks, especially when it concerned beautiful women. Besides, it had been purely for protocol, at least that was the reasoning he would use if asked Not always... Generally, though, certain other... activities... take precedence. I must admit, it comes as no surprise you may have been a dancer once, no doubt many were envious of you...

Dazbog smiled as he looked around the Canteen of the Temple before pulling out a handful of fine planting soil from one of his pockets. He walked over to an empty corner and knelt down. Placing the soil on the floor, he then dug around in his other pockets, pulling out an array of odd things. Broken beard trimmers, a rubber ducky, a bouncy ball, and a three hundred gallon measuring cup the size of a one cup measuring cup. Finally he pulled out a small, green, unroasted coffee bean. He looked it over before planting the ben in the soil, and covering it up, patting the top lightly. He stuffed all of the odd items back into his pockets and dusted off his hands, standing back up, and looking back to Sarissa.
"Got any water? Need some to help it grow."
Of all the things not to have in his pockets, the major component of life and growth in the Universe was not something Dazbog carried around. Somehow a rubber ducky ranked higher on his list.
