As Cayne entered the area, he noticed Gavin and that he motioned for him to join him. It seemed there would be no time to warm up and lay any final thoughts to rest, not that it mattered. He hadn't truly figured out what he wanted out of his power or what he really wished to achieve. When the question came, all he could do was shrug.
I haven't the slightest clue what I really want to achieve or what path I want or am best suited to walk. There are just so many options that it really isn't easy, especially when none of them really speak to you. In all of this, though, there was a question brewing in his mind, one that had been stirring for a long time. "What path do you walk? We know so little about you in regards to that. Sure, we've seen you fight a bit, but that hasn't told us anything."

Gavin nodded in understanding. "You are correct about that. There are so many different approaches to the Force, combat, and even one's way of living. In fact, new things are always being invented." Then came the question directed at him. He looked at Cayne curiously for a moment before giving him the answer he sought. Perhaps it would help the boy figure something out. "Simply put, I am a warrior. I've dedicated myself to the art of combat and weapon mastery. While I possess skills and approaches that stray from this, these two things are the very core of who I am and how I approach things normally."

Cayne listened as Gavin spoke of himself and his path, his attention grabbing hold of the words "weapon mastery." For all he had looked at, that wasn't one of them. Something about it held a nice feel about it.
"Weapon mastery? I'm guessing that means absolute skill with a particular weapon?"

Gavin looked at him with intrigue as he repeated the words and asked another question. It seemed that perhaps something of his own life could find its way into another. Maybe when all was said and done and he left for the Dark Jedi, Cayne could become an apprentice under him. "In a sense, yes, but weapon mastery doesn't mean absolute ability with a particular weapon. It means mastery of a multitude of them. Currently, I am a master of every type of sword, axe, and polearm, I can use whips, tonfa, throwing knives, staves, and more. I can even turn objects found around me into a weapon if I really feel the need. That is the true aspect of what a weapon master means: to be able to use any weapon handed to him with ease. That way, whatever happens, you always have something available to you that is effective in your hands."

Cayne's eyes widened a bit as Gavin went on, not only furthering the explanation of a weapons mastery, but what he currently held mastery over. There were a few items mentioned, but within a few, he expressed the wider spectrum of all present in a category.
"That's it! That's the path I want to walk. I want to become a master of weapons just like you!"

Gavin could see the radiant excitement within Cayne and nodded with a smile. "Very well then. The path of a weapons master it shall be. In that case, you must learn to master your lightsaber, pick a sword that fits you, then select to other weapons of your choice. These will be where we begin your training. As such, two Force abilities you must learn without question is Force Weapon in which you imbue your weapon with the Force, making it stronger, the Telekinetic lightsaber combat in which you can fight by manipulating your weapons with the Force and nothing else. Now face me in a spar and let's see if we can't figure out a combat form that best suits you." By choosing the path of a weapons master, Cayne would be expected to learn and master all the forms of combat, yet it needed to be narrowed down to at least get him started.

As Gavin activated his saber, so too did Cayne. Not waiting for his master to attack, the boy began his assault, seeking to mix his style in a balance of speed and strength. All the while, thought on the idea of becoming a weapons master. The idea held such promise and displayed a solid path for his eventual fight against the Sith. He hoped, thought, that Gavin would see him worthy of such lessons and wouldn’t think little of him when he made his move against the other Sith.

It didn’t take long to pick up on the way Cayne chose to fight. In all honesty, it was one of the best ways, a style that he positioned himself around. The thought itself made him smile inwardly thinking there might be another who could follow in his footsteps.
Taking only a few minutes to make his judgements, he stepped back to stop the spar. "Hmm, an interesting choice. To let you know ahead of time, becoming a weapons mastery, especially under me, will require you to learn and become skilled in all forms of lightsaber combat. However, for the time being, I’d suggest Form V and Form VII, especially VII for it provides a balance of all previous forms. Consider it a means of setting the ground work for the other forms and their specialized styles. But that is it for now. Please summon Elysta for me when you head back out there." He waiter patiently as Cayne departed and Elysta showed up. "I hope the day is finding you well. Tell me, have you thought on which path you want to walk?"

Cayne departed from the room with a bow before going out to summon Elysta. It took only a minute before she arrived. When he asked her the question, she couldn't help but give a smirk, completely sure of her path.
"I have. However, I feel it might be best to explain why rather than just say. Considering that you really aren't a Sith, only a teacher among them, I don't have a problem telling you this, even if Cayne would. We don't have any love for the Sith, not after what they did to our home. We lived on Eriadu and lived happily under the SesTrade Hegemony. That all changed when it was revealed to be a facade and that the one that had been in charge was a Sith and was changing how things were ran to benefit the Sith of the Blackguard. Life became harder and when Cayne and I were discovered to be capable of using the Force, we were gathered up and sent here as a tribute to the Blackguard instead of the facilities back home. We hate everything they stand for, including Malvus, and when we are stronger enough, we will leave this place and break through any Sith in our way. The path I want to walk utilizes their darkest abilities so I can bring them to bear upon them: Sith Magic." She then waited his response, her eyes burning him to him, wondering what he'd say.

Gavin listened intently to Elysta’s story and explanation. It certainly had it full of irony, that was for sure. In fact, it took all he had not to smirk. With Cayne and Elysta both against the ideas of becoming Sith and he possibly becoming his apprentice, he certainly made note to watch them for they could be a few that would join him when he moved over to Ambria and the Dark Jedi.
Once she was finished, he gave a nod. "It is not an uncommon thing for those who make up the ranks of the Sith to hate or have hated them. Not all come her of their own volition. Just make sure you keep those plans to yourself, less you cause a stir prematurely. Should that time come, I’ll make sure I’m not around, how about that?" He then removes his saber and ignited it, ready to go through the same dance with the woman."Well, considering you are so certain in your path, I need not spend any time recommending what skills to learn. So let’s move along to combat, shall we? Let’s see the style that fights you."Without another word, he began his assault.

Nidana found herself feeling nervous everyday she waited to be called in to speak with Gavin. She feared failing whatever test he had for them, or not having a clear enough path to follow. She was one of the more powerful in raw force potential, but the most unsure and meek. The Echani had made great strides toward improvement in those areas, but it didn't feel like enough now that the time had come for an actual test like this. But no matter, she waited patiently for her turn, whichever day it would be.

Elysta smiled as Gavin spoke, not seeming to bat an eye at her and Cayne’s plan. That was good for she didn’t want to fight him like that. Which only brought forth a smirk when he ignited his saber and cane at her. Igniting her’s she side stepped him, brushing his saber away. She kept her moves simple, letting her mind reside in the art of Shii-Cho. By now, they had all become experts at the form due to the constant training. It was what she knew and was comfortable with and by sticking to it, she worked in facing him down. The only addition to her work was the effort in brushing him off before finding her openings to make a strike.

Gavin couldn’t deny that he was impressed with Elysta’s combat. Unlike the others who let themselves slip into a particular style that fit them, using the basics of Shii-Cho as a foundation, she stayed within the form’s control, granting her a better form and ability to face him. Only occasionally did she brush him aside. It became clear to him that in desiring to learn Sith Magic, her skills in the art would be primary and her combat prowess secondary. If it came to such a thing, she preferred direct and simple. Not a bad approach.
Once satisfied with their spar, Gavin brought it to a close. "Nicely done, Elysta. You’ve shown that you’ve taken your Shii-Cho training very seriously. Very good. And by what I can gather, it’ll be a form that will suit you well. The only other form I would suggest learning is Form II. It’ll work well in furthering your evasive techniques. That is all. Please send Kosrezic in." Once the Twilek entered he asked her the same question. "Tell me, Kosrezic. What have you discovered about yourself?"

As the question came, Kosrezic didn't answer him, at least not in the way he was looking for. Instead, she asked her own question, the thought swirling around in her head the past two months.
"Actually, I was hoping you could tell me more about Lady Luxeria. Since she visited a couple of months ago, I haven't been able to get her out of my mind. You said you trained her like us. Surely you can tell me about her, about the path she took and her style of combat?" It was clear from that moment that she idolized the woman and wanted to be like her. She didn't care if it meant she needed to change things about herself to do so.

Gavin listened as the question was shifted and she asked about Luxeria. Leaning up against the wall, he tilted his head as he eyed her. He had noticed her interest in Luxeria that day but she had done well up until now in keeping hidden her obsession with Luxeria. In the end, he felt that Kosrezic would be the easiest person to figure out as she could very well follow in the woman's footsteps. "Luxeria, huh? Well, she is a seductress, a manipulator, an illusionist, a warrior, and an assassin. As she stated that day, her desires originally laid within the art of manipulation through seduction and control. To control and manipulate others in one way or another was her goal. She pushed herself further in her studies to become a better asset within the Sith, both before the Blackguard and during. To be honest, I believe you could easily follow in her footsteps if that's the path you wish to take. I notice how you and Theranna like to walk around and use the knowledge that others think you look beautiful to your advantage. After all, that was what led to your little incident a year ago. Had you been as capable as her, you would have taken him out easy. Even watching your fight showed me that you prefer the same style of fluid and graceful combat as her. So we can bypass the spar as I have with the others thus far because you are the easiest to figure out. Look into the Force abilities of Hypnosis, Force Persuasion, and Qâzoi Kyantuska to start. These work to manipulate and control those around you in some fashion or another. As for combat, learn to use Form II and Form IV. Form II focused on the same grace and fluid wielding that you've shown. As another form, Form IV uses your smaller frame for a more acrobatic and aggressive style that could suit you as well. And if you really want to follow her, trying utilizing Jar'Kai to its best degree." Giving a chuckle he motioned for to head back out. There was no need for the spar, he had seen her skill before and knew it would have improved and with her following Luxeria, it only all fell into place.
Having finished earlier than the day before, he watched as the students went on about their training. Once the day ended, he wrapped up with telling who'd be next. "Alright, that's it for today. Carvish, Cinnik, and Theranna, you three will be up tomorrow. Dismissed."

It was a thought that brought great joy and excitement, knowing that she already possessed what it took to be like Luxeria. She even let slip by the embarrassment of that moment a year ago. With nothing else left for them to do considering how easy it had been to figure her out, she returned to the others, continuing her training for the day with an eager giddiness that led her straight to the library once the day was done.

As the next day arrived, Gavin followed the same process he had the day before, waiting for the group to arrive to summon Carvish. He was going through them quicker than some might consider worthwhile, but he had been watching and learning, making it a bit easier to sort them out, especially that they had a year to really think about who they were and who they wished to be. All he needed was that final bit of light to shine through the darkness to illuminate their paths.
As Carvish arrived, he motioned for him to follow and waited for him in the smaller training area. "Tell me, Carvish. What do you seek for your life within the Blackguard? What path do you wish to walk?"

As Carvish arrived with group, he made his way over to the smaller room, he already had an idea as to what he wanted to achieve in his time here.
"I want to look to my heritage and learn the arts of combat. Learning the skills thus far has connected me to that side of me. So that what I wish to do and to take it further, I want to become a skilled fighter capable of engaging in multiple styles of combat."

"I see. You wish to become a master of combat. That's quite fortunate for you. Of all the things I know and can do, my greatest strength lies in my skills in combat. I was once known as both a combat master and a weapons master. So when your training as my students comes to an end, I will take you as an apprentice next to Cayne. For Force powers I'd recommend, I suggest looking into Enhance Attribute to enhance skill physical attributes as needed, including strength and speed, Convection to heat up your own body that you become more deadly in hand to hand combat, and Shatterpoint, if possible, to see the weak points in your opponent. But now, fce me in armed combat so I may see what lightsaber style would be best for you to start learning."
"Gavin ignted his saber and came at Carvish.

It was interesting to hear that Gavin was a master of such combat that he wished to achieve. He understood the man was skilled but didn't expect him to be at that level. He also didn't expect the idea of becoming Gavin's apprentice. It was inspiring to know that he had a master waiting for him once he was finished with his early training, even if it meant he was sharing. And with the mention of Force powers, he had something to help get him moving down that path.
As Gavin came at him, he ignited his saber to block the initial attack. From there, he worked to keep ahead of the master, moving in quicker, more erratic patterns, using his smaller frame against the larger man before him to gain some form of an advantage. Occasionally, when he felt he gained the offensive, he switched to a more strength based style, focusing his power to bring to bear upon Gavin.
