Jena felt the waves of emotions emanating from Ice. She felt the pain, anger, sadness, frustration, and everything in between. Letting her mind briefly drift back to a little over fourteen years ago, she was reminded of when a young man by the name of Bol Angoni showed up on Naboo with a twelve year old Ice in tow. Bol was a mechanic and had been a friend of Daria and Lukas Coldstar, Ice's parents, and had been living on Hoth in a section of the old abandoned rebel base on the planet. He had been doing mechanical work for those brave enough to live in the freezing climate of Hoth. He had found Ice hiding in one of the caves after Daria and Lukas were killed by someone they once thought to be a friend. He knew he had to get the girl off of Hoth as soon as possible and remembered that Daria had often mentioned that her twin sister Jena was on Naboo.
Within twenty four hours, Bol had contacted Jena, telling her all that had transpired. He then packed up everything in the Coldstars' home, which wasn't all that much, and stored it away on his old freighter. Two days hadn't even passed before he and Ice were safely off of Hoth and on their way to Naboo. He had never met Jena in person and had only talked to her once and that was to inform her about what had happened. He knew Daria spoke highly of her, and she had often told him that if anything ever happened to her and Lukas then he was to take the girl to Naboo. He never had a second thought about bringing Ice to Jena. He knew Daria would never forgive him in this life, or the next, if he hadn't. It also helped that Ice seemed to actually want to go, not that he could blame her after what had happened. He had lost two good friends, but she had lost something more....she had lost her parents. During the journey she had talked about her Aunt Jena, Uncle Travis, and her cousins, Alisha and Aaron, Jena's children that were around her own age and that gave Bol a sense of peace about the whole thing.
Once they had made it to Naboo and Bol met Jena, Travis, and their children, he knew why Daria spoke so highly of them. Both were Jedi Knights, Jena a doctor and Travis an investigator of sorts, and they would continue Ice's training, something that Bol couldn't have done even if he wanted to since he wasn't Force sensitive. He knew that she'd be loved and well cared for. What Bol didn't know was that Jena had felt Daria's death through the Force when it happened and it was all Travis, could do to keep her from going after the culprit then and there. Travis had to physically restrain her as he gently reminded her that the young Ice would need them now more than ever and would Daria really want her only surviving sibling going off and getting herself injured or killed over revenge. Jena conceded through her haze of emotions, though she was hurting over experiencing her sisters pain and death. She had to think of Ice now, had a sudden need to find her, and when Bol contacted her then later arrived with the girl, Jena had to once again stamp down her thoughts of vengeance on the one who tore her sisters family apart.
It had taken a couple of years after Ice's arrival on Naboo for Jena to even get her to open up even a little bit about the tragedy that had transpired on Hoth. Eventually, after another two years of patience and understanding, Ice eventually told Jena everything she could remember and had been holding back. Jena just hoped it wouldn't take that long for Ice to vent some of her feelings about the current situation at hand. Looking at her niece, a grown woman now with a child of her own, Jena could see that Ice was currently in pretty much the same shape emotionally, as she was all those years ago. That lost little girl was back and Jena could see it in her eyes and it caused a painful tightness in her chest to see Ice like this. She knew Ice was holding back like she did back then. Holding the emotional tide at bay, letting it build up inside until the fragile dam that she'd built up shattered into thousands of pieces.
With empathy and understanding, Jena knelt down in front of her niece, putting one hand on Ice's knee and the other hand under the Ice's chin, she gently brought the younger womans face up, their eyes meeting on a level keel. Her blue eyes held Ice's green ones as she began to speak softly, but firmly, so as not to awaken Lukas in the other room.
"Listen to me, Ice. Listen! You will do what you have always done. You will survive this, however it turns out. Whether Adi is alive or dead, you will survive this. Why - because you are a survivor. You have to be. It's in your nature to scratch and claw your way back from the brink. You've done it numerous times now and chances are you'll have to do it many more times given our possible lifespans. You can't quit fighting now because it's not just you that you have to think about, but Lukas and E'yame, also. Even though E'yame is almost grown, she still needs you too, whether she admits it or not. And as you said, Lukas is barely three years old. He needs you more than anything at this point. You need to pull yourself together and be there....for both of them.
You must realize that you have a lot of friends and family, all of us, here to give you support and lend an ear if you ever need to talk or if you need help with anything....anything at all. We will help you through this, whatever the outcome."
She moved her hand from Ice's chin and softly patted the younger womans cheek with affection before letting it drop to join the other hand and Ice's knee. Jena could still sense the tumultuous emotions roiling in her niece, but Ice had managed to gain some semblance of control over the more anger filled ones as she held her aunts gaze with a silent tear falling from the corner of one eye. Ice reached up to hastily wipe the tear away when Jena gently reached up to still her hand grasping it lightly in both of her own. Her voice still held the same soft tone she'd used earlier.
"It's okay to feel what you're feeling right now. I know those feelings well. I've felt those same feelings, too. First when Daria died, then again when Travis died. But you can't let your anger affect Lukas and E'yame. Gahd knows E'yame has probably felt more than her fair share of hurt and anger at her young age, when it comes to being left behind, but you can't let her see it from you, too - and you most certainly can't let Lukas see it.
Believe me, I know it's easier said than done, and I know it's hard to do, but it can and must be done. So go ahead, chérie, rant and rave. Vent everything you're feeling - but do it out of their sight. Go ahead and go to one of the training rooms, or the Coliseum, or wherever and vent all that you're feeling....and then move on, sooner rather than later. It's the only way you'll be able to focus on this with a clear mind."
She smiled warmly at Ice, before letting go of the younger womans hand and moving from her kneeling position on the floor to sit beside Ice on the sofa. As she leaned forward with her hands on her own knees, she looked at Ice again giving a small chuckle and a slight shake of her head, lightening the mood a tiny bit. "Hell, I may even join you in venting. I think I might need to work out a few of my more recent frustrations myself."

Present day
*After a long tiresome fligh Moses had finally reached his destination on Honoghr. He had important information about Adieumus Matango for his wife, whom Moses himself had never actually met. Hell he hardly knew Adi, but it was common knowedge among anyone who knew him that he had been declared missing after the war. Still he knew this information was something he had to share with Isis directly.*
*Moses had left the ship in the hanger and now walked through the halls with quick but smooth pace. His sdride spoke of a warriors confidence but it was not heavy nor did it speak of any pains most warriors endured, for he was a Jedi and he was in a state of harmony. His ice blue eyes sparkled in the ample lighting off the halls as they read the signs on the walls looking for directions. Though he had the force to relay on if he needed to find his was to his destination,it didn't hurt to read the signs and follow the small arrows painted in primary areas. As he paced forward he ran a hand through his spikey jet black hair, something he often did when he was thinking.*
*Moses wasn't sure exactly how he would bring up the the topic of Adi to his wife who had no doubt was trying to move on at this point. He wasn't really sure how he would introduce himself either. Moses was positive she had no idea who he was or even how he knew Adi. Moses decided he would just win it. The was no clear way to handle this other than let it happen. He would add his polite charms to make this run smoother.*
*Moses finally saw what he was looking for, Ice's office. It was hard to miss the sign. He stepped to the door and hesited before he pressed the buzzer. He looked down at himself and made sure that everything was im place and that he was presentable. His hand crafted light armor with ice blue trim gleamed in the light, not a spot to be found. The robbed parts to his atire had no unsiglty wringles or dirt. His weapons hung neatly from his bet, save his Katana, he left it in his fighter. Moses gave his hair a ruffle then pressed the buzzer on the door. His had returning to his side he waited patiently for a response.*
*Moses wondered if he had come at a good time. Was she even going to be here or would Adi's wife be at their residence. Moses found people to be so unpredictable at first. Always the type who needed time to know someone truly.*

Several+ months ago, right after Jena's return from the Kuat Battle
Jena's words had struck a chord within Ice and she knew Jena was right....she had to pull herself together. They didn't even know what had happened to Adieumus yet. He could be on some deserted tropical planet basking in the sun and working on his tan, for all they knew, or it was entirely possible that he was on some other covert mission for the Watchmen. Jena was right, she could, and would, survive this. She had survived much worse before - from her parents death, to losing her unborn babies, to almost dying herself. She had to be there for Lukas and E'yame and she couldn't let them see her anger. Taking a deep breath, then letting it out, she composed herself and stood up to face Jena.
"You're right. I can, and will, get through this. We don't even know what has happened yet....and even when we get confirmation of his status, I still need to be able to deal with it no matter the outcome. I can't crawl into a hole and pretend this whole thing never happened. I still need to be able to be there for Lukas when he starts asking question, and he inevitably will....and for E'yame if she ever wants to discuss it."
She had to admit, Jena had helped her see this issue from a new perspective. She had a planet of people depending on her to guide them, and a plethora of family and friends that would assist her if needed. She was surrounded by people that loved her and would fight for and with her by her side if ever needed. Smiling softly, she met Jena's gaze again. "Thank you, Jena, for reminding me of who and what I am. Thank you for everything."
She smiled again, hugging Jena when the other woman stood up in front of her. Stepping away from her aunt, Ice looked, and felt, better about the situation. Time would tell how this scenario would play out - but for now, Ice Matango would not allow this setback to overshadow her ability to do what had to be done, for herself, and for the ones she cared about.......

Jena stood up and returned Ice's hug looking on her niece with silent pride as the younger woman spoke with great determination in her voice. She knew Ice would pull herself up and do what had to be done, she just needed a little motivation and Jena was happy to provide that motivation. Stepping back, Jena smiled a little as she folded her arms across her chest.
"You're welcome. Sometimes we all need reminding of who and what we really are, and I know you're stronger than you think you are. You just need to believe it yourself, chérie." Smiling again, Jena turned toward the door but before leaving she gazed back at Ice with a thoughtful look on her face. "We'll have to eventually contact the Jedi Council and inform them of Adi's disappearance. They may already know, but we need to verify it with them in any case. We can do that later on, when you're ready." With one last look of understanding between them, Jena turned again and left Ice to her own thoughts....

Present Day - Answering Moses
After sending Lukas off with Ursula, the nanny HRD, Ice had sat down at her desk with a mug of fresh mocha caf in her hand to do some much needed administrative work for the RDMC. She had just set the mug down on the desk when she sensed someone at the door of her office before they even pressed the buzzer just outside of the door. Pursing her lips, she glanced up at the security holoscreen to see a man standing on the other side. He didn't look familiar but he seemed to emit a lightside aura. A Jedi, or perhaps just a lightsider looking for someone? Narrowing her eyes a little, she pressed a button on the console off to the side of her desk to allow the man entrance. Standing up with her hands resting casually on the .45 caliber pistols strapped to her thighs, she smiled when the door swished open.
"Hello. Is there something I can help you with?" Her voice was warm and polite as she addressed the man, wondering who or what he was here for.......

*The door in front of Moses slid open with a light mechanical swishing noise. His blue eyes took a quick moment to look around the room before he settled his vision on Ice. Moses gave a small bow, and looked up to make eyes contact with a friendly smile. Moses stepped into the room and stopped a respectable distance from Ice and her desk before locking his hands behind his back. His calm but youthful voice filed the room as he responded to Ice's greeting.*
"Hello, My name is Moses Helu. Kinght of the Jedi Order. I have come to bring information I thought you would like to know."
*As Moses finished speaking he wondered if he had been to uptight and diplomatic about his response. He was usually a bit more loose and wity. Perhaps it was some of his old masters personality was wearing off on him after all. Moses began to take note of how Ice held herself, casual and at easy. But like anyone who had grown acustome to weapons her hands rested on them. He could sense no tension from Ice and knew this was just an idle habit. As he locked his eyes with Ice's emerald eyes he wondered how he would continue this delecate conversation.*
*Moses found a more relaxed stance, his hands rested on his belt and he settled in for what would come next. He spoke again, sympathetically but also slightly up beat.*
"I was a brief acquaintance of Adi's. In the short time of knowing him he spoke highly of you, and I can see why."
*He gave a friendly smirk and continued, cutting to the point.*
"But I am here because I think I may know where he is."
*Moses expression shifted from bright and friendly to something more along the lines of concern as he waited in silence for Ice to speak. It was at this point that Moses would take in Ice's features, she was a beautiful woman. Adi was definatly a lucky man. But moses quikly dropped that line of thought. He hoped Ice was in a clear state over the situation, for Moses did not want to open up a wound not fully healed. His master always warned him the love was a double edged sword. It brought out the best qualities in a person, but in moments of loss and uncertainty it had the potential to bring out the worst.*

The door swooshed open and revealed a young man, presumably somewhere in his twenties from Ice's perspective. His blue eyes glanced around the room, taking in his surroundings, then settled on her before giving a small bow and smile. She returned the bow before he moved into the room stopping a few feet away from her as he locked his hands behind his back and spoke. He seemed a little tense, she noted silently to herself, while he introduced himself as Jedi Knight Moses Helu and informed her that he had some information she might be interested in. Raising an eyebrow, as he took on a more relaxed stance, her interest was piqued with his next words. When Moses finished, his face took on a concerned expression while he studied her. Ice was silent for a moment, letting his words sink in. He had said that he may know where Adieumus was. Pursing her lips a little, her face giving nothing away otherwise, she wasn't exactly sure she was ready to hear about Adieumus' possible whereabouts just yet. It had been well over several months, close to a year now, since he had been declared missing in action and she wasn't sure she wanted to deal with what that could possibly mean. Taking a deep breath and letting it out, she walked around the desk and sat down in her chair. Meeting his gaze again, and with an even tone, she began speaking."Knight Helu....it's good to meet you. I'm not going to ask how you know about me because that much is already obvious. If you knew Adieumus then you must have found out from him who I am." She paused momentarily, keeping her emotions in check while she picked up the mug and took a drink of caf. Holding the mug in one hand, she gestured toward the small bar in the corner that held the caf machine atop it."Please, have something to drink if you want and have a seat....then we can discuss this information of yours about Adieumus. It's been close to two years since I've personally last seen him....and the last person, that I know of, to see him recently was Dr. Jena Shaewe. They had left Coruscant to go to Kuat during the Mandalorian siege. He was last seen, alive, on one of our medical ships from the Red Dawn Medical Center before he disappeared. So, as you can imagine, any kind of news about him is welcome." Taking another sip of caf, she quietly studied him over the rim of the mug as she waited for him to make himself comfortable.......---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The meeting between Ice and Moses might have gone well except for the fact that before Moses could speak again, they were interrupted by Ice being called away to address another important issue that had arisen within the RDMC. They would meet again to discuss the matter of Adieumus being MIA in the very near future, but for now they parted ways for the time being....

There had been several meetings throughout the week with Honoghrs well respected law firm of Payne, Mildhurt, & Strange and this was the final one. This particular meeting was well into it's fifth hour but they had made a lot of progress on finalizing the documents since they had started the meetings earlier in the week. The wording of the documents had been changed numerous times over the course of the last several days until this final draft, which everyone had agreed was the best. With the signatures of her three attorneys, two of his personal attorneys from past dealings, a notary, and Judge S. Cowell, on the bottom of the final pages and all the copies, all Ice had to do was sign.
While she sat there holding the pen in her hand and looking at the documents, her mind wandered as she thought back over the last several years. Flashes of their first meeting, of falling in love, of their wedding day, of both nearly dying on separate occasions, Lukas' birth, their slowly drifting apart emotionally from each other, his leaving Honoghr two years ago, and finally of his total disappearance a year ago now, all playing out in her memory.
In total, it had been two years, seven months, three weeks, fours days, fourteen hours, thirty seven minutes, and thirteen seconds since she had last seen or heard from him. Oh yes, she had meticulously kept track of the passing time over the months. It motivated her to do what she knew had to be done for the benefit of her son and herself. What else could she do? She really wasn't one to sit around and wallow in self pity. It didn't suit her. Though it was a decision she didn't make lightly, and had gone over it again and again for the past few months, but it was time to move on. It was time for her and Lukas to have a fresh start, a clean slate.
Taking a deep breath and letting it out, she nodded her head once then put the pen to paper and signed in all the places that required her signature. With the last stroke of the pen on the last page, it was done. Ice Matango was now a free woman, having divorced her husband, Adieumus Matango, in absentia. Pushing the papers across her desk to the attorneys, she felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
Soon enough, the attorneys verified that everything was in order and then Judge Cowell finalized the settlement. Once the attorneys handed her the copies of the decree that belonged to her, they gathered up the rest of the paperwork into their briefcases then stood up and began filing out of the office heading toward the turbolift down at the end of the hallway. Judge Cowell was the last to leave, but not before turning to Ice, the ever present serious look on his face.
"Divorce is never an easy thing under relatively normal circumstances, and it is especially hard with the ones you've had to contend with over the last couple of years. I do hope everything works out for you, Ms. Matango. Be well and have good day." He was sincere in his comments to her even if his stone faced expression led one to believe otherwise. He had known her since she came to Honoghr and she was one of the few people he genuinely liked. He admired her for her quiet strength and fortitude. She'd done the best with what life had thrown at her and somehow managed to rise to the occasion each time.
She smiled slightly at his words, knowing he'd spoken them with sincerity. Meeting his gaze, she folded her arms across her chest. "You're right, it's never easy....but it will work out. I have to hold on to that hope. Thank you for everything, Judge, and you have a good day too."
There was a faint hint of a smile on Judge Cowells lips when she finished speaking. Nodding his head, he shook her hand then turned and left the office. Sitting down at her desk again, Ice leaned back in the chair and closed her eyes for a moment when a message came through on her holosreen from Betsy at the front desk. Sighing, she opened her eyes and read the contents of the message. Narrowing her eyes for a few seconds, she leaned forward and typed a reply before settling back in the chair to relax for a few minutes until her next meeting....

Jake looked up and over from his own reading just as he was about to be addressed by Betsy. He got up and promptly walked toward the hallway to see to where she was giving directions. He looked back over to her when she was done giving them, and responded, with an appreciative smile.Gratitude. As she walked back to reception, he made his way to Ice's office, knocking twice as to let her know he was there to be received when she was ready. Jaecyn knocked twice to make his presence known, standing just outside the threshold of the office door, giving Ice whatever time she needed to ready herself. His helmet was, of course, doffed for the occasion, as was customary. His sidearm and sabers were the only weapons he had on him, and as was also customary for him, they stayed with him. He was, however, ready to answer for it, if needed.

Ice sat behind her desk contemplating the outcome of the previous meeting when she realized the office was eerily quiet except for the sound of the HNN on the large holoscreen attached to the wall across the room. Lukas was with Ursula and would be returning within the next hour so she knew she had to try to get this impromptu meeting over with by then. A couple of knocks on the door, signaling the arrival of the next appointment, brought her out of her reverie. Giving a small sigh, she pushed a button on a small console beside the holocomputer on her desk then stood up as the office door swished open to reveal the form of Ja'Sean Tabr Raddekh, the Ysannan Consul.
She had heard of the man before and knew he was a leader on Ossus, but other than that she didn't know much about him and she certainly didn't believe everything she read or heard about anyone on the HNN or in holomags. Slightly raising an eyebrow, she noted that he wasn't quite as tall as she'd expected, but he was well kept with neatly trimmed facial hair as well as having the dark brown hair on his head neatly trimmed. She also noted the traditional Ysannan tattoos on his brow just above his eyes. Stepping forward, she bowed then straightened again with a welcoming smile.
"Mr. Raddekh, I'm Ice Matango. It's good to meet you. What brings you to Honoghr, if I may ask?"

Jaecyn entered, bowing his head slightly as a respect. Still clad in his pilot armor, he stopped a couple paces from her desk before speaking, with a pleasant and respectable smile. That she had been ruminating on things stressful to her had not been completely lost, and Jaecyn had sensed her thoughts emanating from her in a way similar to heat gently breezing off a person who had just exercised. No details, of course, just the general impression that she was dealing as best she could with the stressors of leadership, a thing for which he himself knew only too well. It was of concern, but one he had hoped would be warmly welcomed, especially that Ice was now, as he understood it, responsible for not just the medical center, but all of Adieumus' dealings as well.
It is good to finally meet you too, Missus Matango, and I do apologize for my clothing. I normally am far better dressed to meet with other heads-of-state. Dare I say, your husbands mention of you holds not a candle to you.
Jaecyn paused, taking a slightly more serious look, as he started to detail his reason for coming.
What brings me here to meet you is something that I had hoped to discuss with him, though with what the situation seems to be... I do expect that it might provide more a comfort to your ears than his.
I bring to you a proposal for alliance, not just among Jedi, but across our cultures. If you need the time to consider it, I will be more than happy to give it.

Still dressed in his flight suit, he entered the room with a bow of his head. Ice figured he must have came directly from the hangar bays for this meeting. She started walking back around to her chair when he began speaking, apologizing for his attire and saying that Adieumus' mention of her basically didn't do her justice. Well at least compliments didn't make her cringe anymore like they did before. Instead she just smiled slightly, nodding her head in silent thanks, and took it all in stride. He went on to explain his reason for asking to meet with her. She listened intently to his words before sitting down at her desk, motioning for him to have a seat if he wished, and folding her hands in front of her. Bringing her hands up in front of her face, she rested her forefingers on her lips while she contemplated his proposal of an alliance between not only the Jedi on both planets but also the cultures.
"Well first off, please, just call me Ice. No need to be formal on my account. Secondly, remind me to thank Adieumus for the compliments....if we ever see him again. Thirdly, before I forget my manners entirely....would you like something to drink? There's caf, tea, soda, or alcoholic beverages, compliments of Skirata's Distillery/Brewery, on the counter over there." She smiled warmly, dropping her hands from her face and waving toward the mini bar in the corner that held a mini fridge and caf maker. Leaning back a little in her chair, she folded her hands in front of her once more and continued in a slightly lower more serious tone.
"As you may know, Adieumus has been listed as MIA for close to a year, since the Mando's attacked Kuat, and he had left Honoghr long before that. All in all, I have not seen, nor heard from him in almost three years now.
In case you are unaware, I am fairly new to being a 'leader' of people and a planet. I didn't ask for this position, nor did I want it at first, but it was given to me anyway. There was nobody else after Adieumus left....or, I should say, nobody that wanted the responsibility. I'm doing the best I can with what I've been given, and with the help of close friends, family, and the head master of the temple, I don't think we're doing too bad of a job. The people seem happy, there haven't been any attacks on the planet in a while, and our economy and businesses are booming."
Pausing briefly, she let Ja'Sean digest what she'd just told him while taking a few seconds to gather her own thoughts on his proposal of the aforementioned alliance. "With that being said, I think there's an excellent chance of an alliance between our respective Jedi and people....I will need to discuss this with the head master of the Jedi Temple here on Honoghr, and with my other governmental officials - all of which now consist of the administration of the Red Dawn Medical Center. I am, however, sure they will all agree that this is a mutually beneficial agreement. Since we left the Republic after Adieumus' disappearance, I suspect we are not high on their list of planets to lend aid to should we need it." Pausing again, she took a sip of caf from the mug on her desk while looking thoughtful for a moment....

He went on to explain his reason for asking to meet with her. She listened intently to his words before sitting down at her desk, motioning for him to have a seat if he wished, and folding her hands in front of her. Bringing her hands up in front of her face, she rested her forefingers on her lips while she contemplated his proposal of an alliance between not only the Jedi on both planets but also the cultures."Well first off, please, just call me Ice. Leaning back a little in her chair, she folded her hands in front of her once more and continued in a slightly lower more serious tone."As you may know, Adieumus has been listed as MIA for close to a year, since the Mando's attacked Kuat, and he had left Honoghr long before that.
The people seem happy, there haven't been any attacks on the planet in a while, and our economy and businesses are booming."Pausing briefly, she let Ja'Sean digest what she'd just told him while taking a few seconds to gather her own thoughts on his proposal of the aforementioned alliance. Ja'Sean gestured to decline a drink, but attentively took in what Ice was telling him. Ossus managed, somehow, to avoid the brunt of the war. Even though Mandalorian saboteurs did make a move on the world, they quickly lost taste for a larger offensive due to the security of all the information on the world. InfoSec was a field in which the Ysanna were leaders, given their cultural views on knowledge, and how quickly they had devoured technological and scientific advancements since the days of Luke Skywalker and their reintroduction into galactic society. Even with all the advancements and diligence of the Ysanna, the loss of Adieumus was lost in the clutter of all other information. Still, from his own dealings with Adi, Jaecyn knew that his wife would feature prominently in the worlds affairs, with or without his being there. As he, himself, was a leader, now co-consul with a trusted friend and tribal leader, he knew all to well the burden of leadership, and the need to carry the weight of it.Great leaders, far too often, find task foisted upon them. Only those that seek such power, fall, failing in their "purpose." Paradoxical, if ever such a thing. We all set ourselves to purpose as best we are able, and though we often find ourselves wanting, we often prove to be stronger than we, to ourselves, would appear. The Jedi here would offer wise words to your considerations of alliance, and support of command. Bear in mind, however, as I do, I do not often hold a pleasant sway among all Jedi. As for aid and assistance, I am sure you would find the sum of our offerings more than to your satisfaction. A full military, surplus of crops, technology and science that leads in many a field, and medicine to complement your own. And, who else, in the galaxy, can produce an equal supply of this? Smiling with a cocked grin, Ja'Sean pulls from a pouch a ration of chocolate, knowing that Ossus was one of only a mere handful of worlds able to produce the foodstuff, due to the Yuuzhan Vong War, ages ago.The decision rests with you and the council you seek. I will provide information as needed, providing it is not compromise our own security.

As she listened to Ja'Sean, she knew his words about leadership had merit. When she first took over the day to day responsibilities, after Adieumus left, it was with great reluctance. Now there was less reluctance since she had finally accepted her role of leader, though that didn't necessarily mean it was any easier. Pushing that last though aside, she continued to listen to Ja'Sean explaining the offers that went long with his proposal. Military, crops, technology, science and medicine were all on the table as part of the agreement. When he finished speaking, he smiled as he took some chocolate out of a pouch he carried with him. Ice contemplated the offer for a moment or two while sipping her caf then placing the mug back on the desk with a slightly raised eyebrow, she spoke.
"I can honestly say that nobody else has offered all of that. While we may not be able to offer it in the same amounts....we can offer you most, if not all, of the same stipulations. Our military isn't quite as large as it once was when LAN was in full swing but we do have a pretty decent fighting force with the added bonus of Chiss technology brought to us by Prarr'ebecc'aelios, who is now one of our top leading military officers. We can also offer other technologies like cybernetics, nanotech, genetics and cloning, and neurological studies. These are just some of the fields that the RDMC and HAMR Corps are among the top leaders in. We have some of the most state of the art equipment available for these endeavors, and if we can't get the equipment we need then we find a way to make it ourselves. If these terms are acceptable to you then I'll speak with my council later today and we can close the agreement." She met Ja'Seans gaze, awaiting his approval, or disapproval, of her side of the pending agreement.......

If these terms are acceptable to you then I'll speak with my council later today and we can close the agreement." She met Ja'Seans gaze, awaiting his approval, or disapproval, of her side of the pending agreement....... Whole greater than the sum of its parts, it would seem. Adieumus did vaguely mention the same advancements. Truth be told, while, I am sure, the Republic does promote goodness, in its own way... I have often found it a shadow of its intended self. Like you, we have had to forge, and forage for ourselves. I would confess, however, that we have often done it in ways enough to give their high leadership hard sweats and the occasional nightmare, necessity being as it is. Jaecyn paused for a moment, contemplating the possibilities of the alliance, starting with Honoghr and Ossus. What he saw was to draw the galaxy's finest, of their own accord, into a commonwealth where ideas and knowledge would flourish. Already supporting the bleeding edge of science and technology, medicine, weaponry, and philosophy, among other things, Jaecyn had high hopes that the appeal of it would all but clinch the deal, not that he was trying to come across as nuts or religious in his espousals, or even in the expressing of them. He was, however, tired of playing the lone wolf ALL of the time, in spite of how rewarding it had been at times. Being such did go both ways. While he could sport and aggressively optimistic track record against the varied Sith that faced him over the years, nothing could dim, in the slightest, the day the damnable Mandalorians took Ossus during a transition from antiquated Palpatinian technology to far more adequate material of Ysannan design and manufacture. Since then, however, he has been more successful, but the thought of being caught like that again was enough to constantly seek a more lasting relationship, built not just of military necessity, but one essential to anything sentient; knowing, growing, life, freedom, and safety.
Methinks a force such as this, between us, would be one for good, where can offer it, and dreaded vengeance if we must enforce it. Mind you, I do not seek to conquer the galaxy or plunder for riches. We have such value, you and I, as it is, and I would yet believe that what I see of this all is worthy enough to draw honorable support. I would hope that they, the Jedi here, support this move between us. One more thing I would openly put on the table is that which we, of Ossus, have always offered to any bright mind that would see it used for good. Continued access to the largest library in the galaxy.

Ice nodded in agreement with his thoughts on the Republic. It wasn't that she hated the Republic, because she didn't. It was more along the lines that she had very little use for most politicians. Especially in light of the fact that one of the current ones had openly admitted on a live HNN feed to having a hand in the attack on the KDY and Kuat. An attack that had cost hundreds, if not thousands, of lives - including 768 RDMC personnel and civilians that were aboard a medical evacuation shuttle when it was destroyed by wayward missile fire during the siege.
Tucking those thoughts to the back of her mind, she pursed her lips, arching an eyebrow at his mentioning of the library on Ossus. Having never seen it before, she had heard of it's vastness and reputation of being the largest library in the known galaxy. It was also where Adieumus had been severely injured while fighting to protect the secrets held within the vaults a few years ago. Leaning forward in her chair, elbows resting on the edge of the desk, she smiled.
"I have heard many good things about the library and access to it would be greatly appreciated. As for the Rebuplic, let's just say I have little use for politicians and their power plays and leave it at that for the time being.
I'm certain that my colleagues, the Jedi on the planet included, will be open to everything we've discussed thus far. If you'll please give me an hour or two to have a conference with them we can meet back here and finalize everything."
Smiling once again, she reached over to the sleek console on her desk and pressed a few buttons, contacting the necessary parties for the impending meeting. Within a minute or two all of them had responded, agreeing to meet with her to discuss Ja'Seans proposal. Meeting his gaze, she folded her hands in front of her on the desk.
"The meeting is set. You'll have your answer before the day is done, Mr. Raddekh...."

He did sincerely believe that a joint effort by the galaxy's greatest minds, makers, and movers would eventually produce a force for good that could affect change with a word alone. It would be the way that fear truly was, that fear was more a term of respect that one was of their word, whether the word was good and a sign of giving support or favor, or bad as a sign of avenging a wrong, that when one spoke, one was believed because they demonstrated that they would deliver. This, rather than the layman's definition, for when one soiled themselves from being scared by rumor and shadow. This, he thought, is where it begins.

The meeting took a little less than two hours and they were all in agreement to accept Ja'Seans proposal. After closing the gathering, Ice welcomed the Ysannan Consul into her office once again.
"Mr. Raddekh....after going over your proposal with my council, we are all in agreement that it is mutually beneficial for both planets and their respective people. We accept the terms as they have already been discussed."
Leaning back a little in her chair, Ice quietly studied Ja'Sean with a contemplative look for a moment while silently thinking over the pros and cons of the proposal, and quite honestly there were more pros than cons. Yes, this arrangement would be beneficial to both planets.

Riddick smiled contentedly as Ice mentioned the agreement, letting out a slight, almost growl, of a hum as he started speaking in a notably satisfied, accented heldentenor tone.Good. We will likely want to meet later, to solidify the arrangement in ways beneficial to each and every state. I do believe, however, that we will need more to join the cause. As well off as we are, our strengths alone are more as vulnerabilities compared to the rest of the galaxy, as of yet, and true strength is in numbers. History shows it well. I have a few other places in mind, and some old friends that might very well welcome the change of political scenery. If you will not be needing me anymore, I will take leave to continue. I will leave you means to contact me directly, if you need.

Folding her hands in front of her face, her elbows resting on the arm of the chair, Ice pursed her lips while listening to Ja'Sean explain that they may likely need to meet again later on to finalize the arrangement. He stated his belief that they needed more to join the cause, a strength in numbers sort of thing. He apparently had more places, planets and governments, in mind that he needed to visit as well. Raising an eyebrow, Ice couldn't say she disagreed with the idea. Maybe if Honoghr had had more allies in the past then maybe a few of the past attacks would've never happened, or at the very least wouldn't have been as devastating as they were.
Nodding her head in agreement, she smiled politely when he said he would take his leave to continue with his uniting endeavors and in the mean time he would leave her means of contacting him. "Of course I agree that strength in numbers will be beneficial to everyone involved, or soon to be involved, and I'm glad that you still considered Honoghr even though Adieumus is gone....and I will also give you means to contact me if need be."
Reaching into the desk, she took out a small holocard with a secured commlink frequency on it. Standing up she handed the card to him then folded her arms across her chest. "It has been a pleasure to meet you Mr. Raddekh and I'm happy that this meeting has been productive. Until we meet again, that is a private secured comm frequency should you need it." She smiled again gesturing toward the card before giving a polite respectful bow to Ja'Sean.
