Laoch head had it that his eyes met the table but actually he watched those around him and Ciarán closwly, Orana in particular, her being the delegate of the moderator of the delegation. Ciarán abruptly revisited the meat of the discussion looking Orana in the eyes -Ciarán- “So let’s get this straight: in terms of cooperation we are…..” Laoch's attention focused on the woman

Orana sat, her air so magnificent that it could readily serve as the definition of regal in the Oxford dictionary. She ingested Ciarán’s query, processing it slowly before responding -Orana- “We will aid you in any way that we can provided that it is profitable to all parties.” She smiled, taking a delicate sip from the wine glass in front of her then setting it down she lit a cigarette
All the while expert worked on the Wayfarers. As a product made by a subsidiary of the KDY they were quite familiar with the make. And this skill was applied to bringing all extent parts of the ship to mint condition plus customizing the vessel. The crew not only watched but joined in becoming an active part of the task. These individuals, one and all truly loved the ships that they made and manned

The answer was more than satisfactory to Ciarán. And this horse was dead. He lit a cigarette and watched. To the others then back to Orana. Not a lie in the eyes and truthfully he was scarcely asking more than some punk smuggler, the likes of which these people probably dealt with on a daily basis. No. She and her colleges are treating you like a business associate. Who they probably slash the throat of on a daily basis…. Ciarán pulled his mind away from fixating on speculation and suspicion and simply accepted that he had her word. He too had made some strong vows at the table, ones that he had no bones defending. And there Ciaran let it all rest turning attention to enjoying his cigarette... and the stacks on the broad's chest two seats down from Orana. Laoch said nothing. But he thought a lot. He saw nor heard any deceit in her either, hence left it as such. Both men were getting antsy to move. Only question was where....
Ciarán made an inviting gesture with his right hand, attention not leaving the table for a heartbeat

An officer rushed over and nodded several times then went back to his labor. Communication between himself and the others signified a move. All work was brought to a fast, orderly stop. Two of the Wayfarer were neatly prepared for launch, engines roared ominously and they lifted edging carefully from the docks and disappearing from view

Ciarán and Laoch stand in freakish harmony, both bowing deep to the gathering of the families. Behind them their crew readies the Wayfarer to move. The two after all pleasantries are past board and they depart

Within the dockyards of Kuat Drive Yard's prized shipyards, the shapes of several Imperial II-class Star Destroyers began to take form. Despite the First Order's access to the more powerful Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, the military still utilized the iconic warship within its fleets as the backbone and most common frontline vessel in the Imperial fleet. Orders from Imperial High Command, on Muunilinst, placed an order for these warships as a new military organization began. Kuat Drive Yards was to witness the first of these new naval units, the one being formed dubbed Mare Umbrae, the Shadowing Sea, Squadron. These fresh Star Destroyers were being built to help with bolstering defenses and patrols within the Core Region Territories, the most southern possessions of the First Order. Along with their construction, a number of other smaller support vessels were being ordered for construction, to form a proper and flexible squadron. Thanks to cooperation with KDY, the First Order High Command knew they would not be disappointed with their orders being fulfilled in due time.

Entering the KDY the a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter docked. The hatch dropped and suddenly a man exited. A man transparently suffering from hyperspace lane rage. One filled with fury. Any in his path had to have thought what is going to do next? What will he say? Bystanders prepared for the worse as security unbuckled holsters, hands itching to pull out what lie inside them. A sergeant inquired -Security Serg- "May we be of service?" A woman, a woman who had more than a few, civilians and security rapidly thinking on a whole other wavelength, a tiny child and this outrageously huge beast. One officer had to hold himself from shooting the thing on reflex. Boland responded -Boland- "Can you? Alright...." Counting out on fingers -Boland- "I'd like a black coffee." Looking back at his crew -Boland- “And a double double for the broad and a soft drink for the kid.” Thinking a second he added -Boland- “And a bucket of water for Cujo there.” More than a few eyes were fixed on Cú Faoil; the animal was enormous. Sensing the reluctance Boland asserted -Boland- “Trust me fellas he’s looks monstrous but really the things a teddy bear.” Quickly adding -Boland- “Just don’t move to quick near the girl. Very Overprotective.” Pointed behind him "The two fellas comming behind us. Look like something outta a Quentin Jerome Tarantino movie but trust me they’re alright." On afterthought -Boland- "Grab them a couple double doble as well. Thank you." The sergeant nodded to his men and they immediately relaxed. Two men stayed close with a close eye on the group but nothing worthy of alarm presented it self. The final two men exited the ship. The sergeant thought inwardly that indeed they looked like gangsters but again he did not move. The scene was under tight watch and anything could be easily contained A mechanic nearby approached and asked -KDY Mechanic- "Sir would you mind if my crew were to take a look at your ship? Seems a bit beat up I must say." Boland responded in a heartbeat -Boland- "Be my guest mate." The men were on the ship like white on rice

Ciarán and Laoch exited the ship, both carefully casing the place out as they left. Both immediately observed the welcoming party. They saw Boland handling them and were quite impressed. Not shaken at all by the attention yet he didn’t come off like some snot nosed kid with an enormous chip on his shoulder. Ciarán smiled. A coffe was placed in both of their hands. Laoch accepted saying -Laoch- "Cheers bubba." Lighting a cigarette he stood watching. Cops everywhere but all was copacetic. Ciarán nodded politely as he took his offering. Lighting a cigarette -Ciarán- "The Kuati are such accommodating people. Nice to land into." A man approached -KDY Mechanic- "Sir the work on the ship is quite good." Clearing his throat -KDY Mechanic- "We took the liberty of making some small adjustments and replaced a few obviously cheap replicas of KDY work with our own material. Would you like the exterior left as it is?" Ciarán caught the look in the man's eyes with the final question; he knew full well that it was subterfuge. Where Laoch may have blasted the man Ciarán knew that he was just being courteous so he responded with a smile -Ciarán- "No need there but I must thank you for all that you have done. May I ask how much we owe you?" The man smiled and answered simply -KDY Mechanic- "No charge." Ciarán nodded with a smile and the man went back to his workers

All things done Boland nodded to his lot. The three moved into the ship quietly, with the dog coming in behind. Then the two men followed. The hatch closed. Lifting off the YT-1300 exited

Walking carefully along Orana thought quickly of the hopelessly entangled twisted web now being spun by colonialism. The Kuati have always endured and survived. This as any other past social mayhem dressed so eloquently as law and order will pass into the night of history. But what then will come in the glow of dawn. What then shall arise from the ashes once this phoenix at last, as all others before it have after reaching heights it cannot navigate, be consumed in an inferno and becomes no more? She walked carefully, wearily in the place she called home asking questions, if only to herself. Meeting up with the others she joined in quietly. All became lost among the group

An officer approached the group -Officer- "Pardon my intrusion. We have a small incident in orbit." He looked around the group -Officer- "Three ships. From what we have determined two packed to the brim with metal and a third settled between them. A tanker." Looking around at the faces -Officer- "A tanker filled with fuel." The man was being very Kuati; understatement being common in their manner of speaking. His declaration said nothing of threats of any kind but yes, this was a situation that needed to be contained. Intelligently. Orana nodded -Orana- "Thank you." The officer stepped back and stood at a comfortable distance as the group spoke

Kuat Drive Yards. A key Imperial asset. And as such, had regular patrol patterns. Captain Caldwell, CAG (Commander of the Air Group) of the KDY TIE Fighter Squadron, continued to organize patrols and ensure that the newest pilots were up to snuff in terms of ability to fly and follow orders appropriately. So far, so good. It was Day 37 without incident. Patrols were organized and sent off on rotations. Maintaining a CAP (Combat Air Patrol) around the orbital shipyards was a necessity. As tedious as it may have seemed some days, it was a vital part of the Imperial defense strategies for the drive yards, and the planet itself. And Caldwell had been entrusted to maintain that. Which he would do, to the letter.

Watching the first class order with which these imperial representatives conducted themselves was quite impressive. Orana was compelled to ask a question of an officer -Orana- "Has anyone addressed the issue that I am told we have in orbit?" Head leaning slightly right and brows rising -Orana- "That's a fairly serious white elephant that we have just sitting there." A voice from the back inquired sharply -Elder- "And what exactly would you do may I ask?" Head turning slowly Orana spoke slow and precisely -Orana- "Firstly I would have the city shields tossed up. Then." Licking upper lip -Orana- "I would treat this fool out there like the trash that he is." Pausing but a few seconds -Orana- "And blast him and his little ships into subatomic particles." Smiling pleasantly -Orana- "But that's just me." Hands open she inquired Orana- "Tea anyone?" And with the muffled agreements led her compatriots off

With the decommissioning of the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnoughts, and the destruction of the Sol Invictus, Imperial High Command began combing the old Imperial Navy warships databases for a good substitute to serve as the flagship of both the Imperial Navy and the Emperor's personal command vessel. Word within Imperial High Command was the decommissioning of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer that had served the Emperor for a long time for a more modern and better-suited command ship of his personal fleet. It took some meetings, and discussions with Kuat Drive Yards officials, to find the right vessel to serve this role. They had considered a number of ships, the Bellator-class Star Dreadnought, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought and many others... all of them bearing the perfection of firepower and intimidation. Finally, a decision was made and the order was given to Kuat Drive Yards.
Within one of its larger dockyards, the skeleton of an immense Star Dreadnought began to form over the coming months. Regular reports were sent to the Emperor, who provided additional manpower and heightened security in the form of Stormtroopers. This was a vital project, codenamed Ad Gloriam, one of the two phrases within the First Order motto. Slowly, as time went on, the vessel took shape over the planet of Kuat. It was smaller than an Executor-class Dreadnought, but it was definitely wider... like comparing the top of a spear to the bluntness of a dagger. It was a grand project as resources from the First Order poured into this vessels; refined metals, military hardware, and other necessities to form the ideal flagship of the First Order. It wasn't till the aftermath of the Battle of Dathomir that a report came to the desk of Nicademus: the flagship was ready.
Upon an appointed day, six Resurgent-class Star Destroyers entered Kuat's system, a strong escort was needed to ensure that the Dreadnought launched and was escorted to its first assignment. From within Kuat's shipyards, an immense Assertor-class Star Dreadnought launched from its dockyards. Bristling with weaponry, it was a floating fortress, like that of its predecessor, the Sol Invictus. It was given the name Ad Gloriam, For Glory, as it would serve as the Emperor's personal warship. Once it joined its sisters in orbit and moved into open space, the Assertor jumped for hyperspace, ready to join the Imperial Navy. Ready to do its duty for the Empire.

A solitary Lambda-class T4a Shuttle emerged from hyperspace along one of the systems primary hyperspace lanes, making its way through protocol and traffic control without issue before landing in one of the customer hangers at Kuat Drive Yards. From the shuttle emerged Kora Shesh, dressed in her finest Kuati formal business attire, who made her way to a luxurious waiting room before eventually being seen into the office of one of Kuat Yard Drive's sales executives. Sliding into the chair opposite the older woman who sat behind the large desk, Kora waited patiently until the executive finally spoke. "Good morning Ms. Shesh; I must admit that I was somewhat surprised when I heard that you were my 11 o'clock meeting with the EVP of Kumauri Industries Aerospace Division. My niece had mentioned how you had turned yourself around at the university but I hadn't expected you to land such a position so soon after graduation..." Kora smiled slightly, waiting patiently for her chance to speak. "I doubt many would have expected such success from me, especially given my history. Indeed, if I recall correctly your sister threw quite the fit when she heard that I was friends with her daughter at university..." She paused to let the statement sink in for a moment before continuing with a subtle predatory grin. "Ironic, considering the fact that it was my endorsement that convinced the dean to overlook the plagiarism in her thesis..."
The older woman glanced away slightly, a subtle acknowledgement that Kora had indeed saved her sister's family from a substantial amount of embarrassment. Before she could speak, however, Kora cut back in and continued. "Regardless, I'm sure you are an exceptionally busy woman so as much as I enjoy chatting with you we should probably discuss why I wished to meet with you." Seizing control of the conversation, the Kuati woman continued. "Kumauri Industries is interested in a licensing arrangement with Kuat Drive Yards to produce and service their products in the Outer Rim. We will provide all of the labor and materials used in the production and servicing of KDY products, making sure, of course, that they meet the quality and ethics standards your organization adheres to. All that we require from KDY is a license to produce, sell, and service your products and the necessary technological information to do so. In return, Kumauri Industries will provide Kuat Drive Yards with a ten percent royalty on all sales." Kora ignored the wide-eyed, shocked expression on the other woman's face as she finished her pitch, resting her elbows on the surface of the desk as she steepled her fingers. "So, do we have a deal?"
Several hours later, after much negotiation and contract writing between Kumauri Industries lawyers and those of Kuat Drive Yards, Kora Shesh emerged from the office with a smug smile on her face. It had taken a lot of difficult negotiating with the other executives, and some additional minor concessions from Kumauri Industries, but in the end she had gotten her licensing agreement. Of course, Kora wasn't surprised by her success; the moment she had seen the look on the executive's face when she had brought up the favor she had done for her family Kora had known that she would do anything in her power to try and return the favor by arranging for the deal and ensuring that it was advantageous to both companies instead of merely KDY. Walking up the ramp, Kora settled into her chair and signaled the pilot to take off as she watched her homeworld move into the distance. With Kuat Drive Yards' products available to produce that merely left one more company to meet with, and this time Kora wouldn't have the advantage of such convenient...leverage against her bargaining opponent.

Xoia descended the boarding tube, finding her seat in her TIE and locked the hatch as the patrol unit drop out of hyperspace over Kuat. Ever since the battle with the Imperial Warlord a few months prior, things had slowed down a bit. They had took on the occasion smuggler as well as a couple pirate group. Enough to keep them busy, sure, but compared to a full space battle, they were nothing. They had just finished their last mission and were now set to undergo the routine maintenance and repairs in order to keep them in fighting shape. Since their most recent endeavors had positioned them in the Core, they were routed to Kuat for this run.
As the ships approached and Xoia got herself settled, she let herself gaze upon the world and the ring of Kuat Drive Yards surrounding it. Even for her time spent training and her current missions, she had never been here. However, she knew the history. It was here that the First Order began. The rise of the Galactic Empire under the rule of a Sith group known as Dark Tide suddenly upped and vanished with the Nicademus eventually stepping up to take control. But the Empire was already dying and couldn’t be saved. From there, he moved to Muunilinst and made it the capital of the newly formed First Order. But this world and remained in the First Order’s grasp with the drive yards serving to keep the faction supplied with ships. A valuable resource, indeed.
It wasn’t long before she got word from the head of the unit as to their instructions. Detaching her fighter alongside the others, the flew ahead of the fleet as they approached the rings and enters the hangars, landing on some docking clamps set aside for them. Powering down her systems, she grabbed her bag and disembarked. Gathering with a few other the others, they were given some instruction regarding the facilities and heading inside. Word was they’d be down for a little bit of time, this go around. Apparently new system updates along with a few modifications were being implemented, so it could be a bit, allowing everyone a much needed break. It would also allow her to explore the drive yards as well as the planet below.
For now, she decided to look around the facility and the area they would be assigned to to get settled.

Days passed by as the repairs and updates continued upon the Noctis Deep Patrol Fleet. Xoia felt that initially, the work wouldn't have taken too long, yet, from what she was told, it was possible to be down for a week or so to ensure everything was properly in place. That left the woman plenty of time to explore the facility in her area, even letting her make trips to the surface to enjoy what the capital and other locations had to offer as one of the primary worlds within the First Order's grasp. While it was a bit of an adventure on its own, she couldn't help but feel a bit pent up being stuck in dry dock. But she made the most of it the best she could, never knowing when the next bit of downtime would come for them.

Xoia made her way down the halls of Kuat Drive Yards with her squad. Their Flight Captain had found out that a few of the newly designed models of fighters were in a hangar not far from them as they underwent some system updates of their own before being shipped off to awaiting fleets. As such, he had gotten permission for the team to get the chance to view them up close.
The woman stopped as she looked around the open space. They were all here, ships crafted by the mind of Garrick Needa. The TIE Vector, the TIE X, the TIE Broadsword, and the TIE Demolisher all rested in groups around the area. It was a sight to behold for sure. Some of the best ships the First Order had to offer were right here. As the group split up, Xoia began her exploration, not wanting to waste such an opportunity to become as familiar as the hangar team would allow them.
One by one she explored each ship in detail, not even slightly concern about who she disturbed when asking more about the ship as to fill in the blanks she didn't catch from her studies currently. As she went, she even discovered a sole Defender tucked away. It was a treasure trove of fighters, each the kind of ship dedicated pilots hope to fly. The only thing that was missing was a Defender Elite and a Silencer. Those existed as the prize jewels, but it was lucky enough for her to get this chance.

Zahn entered one of the high class boardrooms aboard the Kuat Drive Yards. After weeks of construction, a new line of ship had finally been finished for use by the First Order. The first ship off the production line was always special as it usually took the longest to build and perfect for the full factory run. The Hereb-Class Executive Transport was ready to go. But before that, Zahn had summoned Moff Standash Thul to Kuat to discuss some urgent matters relating to the Academy and her new Humanitarian Aide Fleet. He took a seat at the head of the table and started working on some paperwork as he waited

The shuttle followed its escort to a landing platform high up in the facility. Standash took a look at the massive industrial complex. She thought back to her time on Mon Calamari, the only other time she was anywhere with this level of industry. This was different, it seemed more deliberate here. It felt more like Coruscant. He could see ships at various states of construction of all different sizes. She had to smile to herself for a moment, somewhere here ships she helped make a reality were being built. She limited the times she would feel accomplishments in her work, it kept her wanting more. For a moment she let a little through. And with that she set her mind to the upcoming meeting. Standing up, she smoothed out her uniform, though the material and care she took meant it was always wrinkle free. Her guard took position beside her and the two women walked out of the office on the shuttle and down the ramp. The crew avoided eye contact as she left.
