“Thank you. I would just like to request you hold a room for me, because this is not the only guest I have to meet this evening.” Aderon walked into the dining room, headed straight for the bar. He is underage, but only by a few months, so it doesn’t really matter. Getting a glass of white wine, he looks around the room. Noticing a certain Chiss sitting at a table. He walks over to it and sits down across from the admiral. “Greetings. I assume you are the emissary from the First Order?”

Goliath and a hand full of Ewoks, Jawas, and Xextos strode into the palace. Each wearing a different amalgamation of Beskar’gam, but all bearing the Clan Ika emblem on the left side of their breast plates. As soon as they caught the scent of the food, the group broke ranks and charged into the main hall to raid the tables. Goliath, on the other hand, maintained his leisurely pace as he strode over to where Aya was apparently greeting a number of arriving guests ”Oya ner’vod, quite the fancy shindig you’ve got going on...”

A ghostly chuckle whispers through the air, as the writer knows that there will always be a room for every guest. Regardless of how much space that would take.
-Aya Fancy for the moment. Once more guests arrive, I'm hoping that it will shift to a more informal gathering. I don't believe we have formally met though. However, from your iconography, you must be Goliath, Aliit'alor Ika.

-Aya The Dining Area is just over to that side.Aya points at the Dining Area.-Aya Additionally, welcome to the ball, I hope you enjoy your visit."Right, right..." Mumbled Janos, slowly standing from the chair and making his way to the dining area. The chef, apparently, was more than capable - providing two bantha steaks, a side of ranth grain potatoes, and something green and leafy that Janos didn't care for. Taking his plate and sitting down at a table with a view of the Dining area, Janos took his steak knife and cut into it with gusto - not really caring that small flecks of food were flying around and staining his clothes and the floor around him. "They're gonna remember me as the messy one, I promise you!" Said Janos enthusiastically around a mouthful of food, to no one in particular.

Su cuy'gar jetii, I didn't know you still existed. I regret to inform you, that if you seek the old man, he's passed on. Still, there's plenty here to drink in his memory, if you've the stomach for it. Welcome to the first annual Infinite Imperium Ball, Ael Jade. I hope the advancing years haven't weathered you too severely. "Greetings to you as well. And what would you do if I told you I didn't?" she inquired with an enigmatic shrug. She'd stopped existing at a very specific moment in time, the second she'd felt him die. But how was Non-Com to understand that? The prickly Mandalorian had never understood the depth of the bond between his clan leader and herself. But the old Jedi had to admit that that was the expected reaction. How could one really explain what had brought a Mandalorian warrior Admiral and a Jedi Master together? As for the advancing years... she reached up and pushed back the grey hood that had been obscuring her face up until that moment. Her hair had once been as black as midnight, but it was now as white as snow. In fact, for the first time in her life, the descriptive term "frail" might have come to mind upon a cursory examination. Jade's head didn't even reach Non-Com's shoulder, but somehow she gave the impression she was looking at him levelly.
She hadn't realized that seeing Non-Com and Aya would affect her the way it did. Their presence made Z'har's absence that much more noticeable. Non-Com's blunt statement of the fact along with his assumption that she either didn't know or care made her furious. Jade's eyes fairly burned as she glared at him. In fact, to spectators it might have looked funny, a small woman facing off someone much bigger and stronger looking than herself. "There is nothing in this galaxy that could keep me from knowing Z'har is gone!" she nearly shouted, her voice cracking as she said his name. She felt more than saw Aya in the distance and sighed. "I know it." The old warrior almost swore for good measure, but refrained from ruining the atmosphere.
As something fell on her shoulder with a slight thump she reached up and grabbed it. Her fingers knew the velvety texture of the rose's petals even before she saw it. Another black rose. A faint smile twitched at the corner of her lips as she tucked it carefully into her hair, ignoring the burning sensation behind her eyes. Her voice was hard as she turned back to Non-Com, "Drinks would be a good idea. In fact, the stronger the better, and there is something I need to know..." she waved over towards the direction of the bar.

Vlusu rose to greet the Count. Taking in the stature and dress of the man before him, Vlusu could tell he was well entrenched in some of the upper social circles. "Indeed I am. As the patriarch of House Cauro, I would like to offer my greetings to you. Artemis spoke a great deal about you, so I was naturally curious to meet you. Come, let us sit, and get something to eat."

Goliath had a hard time believing that anything hosted by the Infinite Imperium, or Clan D'Ordinii for that matter, could be anything but formal. At least from the stories he had heard about them. But who knew. Perhaps they were wrong "Well, My Clan's presence here will undoubtedly lower the standards... And you are correct, I am indeed the Aliit'alor of Ika. I am somewhat surprised you have heard of me. Tales of you and yours precede you. Perhaps my Clan is more well known than I thought?"

Her voice was hard as she turned back to Non-Com, "Drinks would be a good idea. In fact, the stronger the better, and there is something I need to know..." she waved over towards the direction of the bar. NC belatedly realized his mistake. The following outburst was no surprise and well deserved, it wasn't his first nor was it likely to be his last such incident. He had not intended to rub a sore wound, he'd simply forgotten how close the two had been. Not there was much proof of that, aside from the rings they wore; rather had worn in his buir's case. His musings were interrupted by the appearance of and Admy... she was unsettling. Simultaneously eerily familiar and aruetii all at once. He didn't catch most of her words, her existence alone was enough to wrap his head around. He was grateful when she vanished again, and curious to see the dark rose floating down to Jade's shoulder. He readily agreed to settle things over strong drinks, and many of them. He escorted the elderly jetii over to the bar, even pulled a stool out for her, and ordered six shots of the oldest Corellian Whiskey in stock. He indicated that the drinks were to be split between him and Jade; three a piece. He raised the first shot, with a single word, and then downed it. He then turned a curious eye towards Jade, to see what exactly she wanted to know."Buir"

“The pleasure is mine. I am Count Aderon Dooku of House Dooku. Artemis and I were friends, once, a long time ago...” The young Scion invited Vlusu to sit down. He took said invitation, and Aderon sat down moments after him. After he placed his order for an Endorian Chicken Tikka Masala, he turned and briefly searched the thoughts of the Chiss sitting across from him. He was understandably nervous, given that he was stitting across from someone who was literally his worst enemy. “So, Vlusu, I’ve been wondering. What made you choose the First Order? What appealed to you so much about i?”

Admy returns, triumphantly holding a newborn. She exists only a moment in the ballroom before taking her leave again. Aya sees this & takes her chance, as she is suddenly in a much simpler & less formal white dress. It would still technically be considered armor, as it had pauldrons & gauntlets, but it was much more hair down than the overblown suit she was wearing a blink before.
-Aya Perhaps, though we take pride in being particularly well informed. Please enter & do your best to drink my bartenders dry. I believe they shall enjoy the challenge.

In which Mer breaks the laws of time and writing, sneaks up behind Admi to admire the baby, before heading back to the bar to join her character and Non-Com.
Jade absentmindedly lined up the three glasses in front of her, before picking up the one on the far right with her left hand, upon the fourth finger of which was the ring Z'har had given her back on Mondder made of white marble with veins of raw gold and three Corusca gems. She glanced at the bartender and ordered one more, placing it between Non-Com and herself, while eyeing the amber liquid in the one she'd picked up.
"Z'har," she replied, clinking her glass against the one set apart, before tossing her head back and draining the whisky at one gulp. Impulsively she threw it over her shoulder, and a second later the resultant smashing noise was surprisingly agreeable. She picked up the second, and straightened from her earlier slouch. Green eyes looked inquiringly at Non-Com and she hesitated for the barest fraction of a second.
"Family?" she proposed, one eyebrow arched slightly.

There existed no words to describe how perplexed Adelle was to suddenly find herself in the entrance to a grand affair in what was so obviously a palace. The silver sheath dress she now found herself in dumbfounded her further. Her complaint did not lie with the attire at all: far from it, it was all very classy and elegant from the asymmetrical neckline to the hem brushing against the floor. She just never wore these things and her status as a former CorSec liaison agent never warranted an invitation. Her brain was, however, able to make the logical observation that there was a bar and it did in fact serve alcohol. If she was to be here for any amount of time—and seeing as how she had no idea how she got there in the first place—she was going to take something to calm her nerves first.
After all, parties were so much more fun with alcohol involved.

Aya noticed the newest arrival & suddenly found herself beside her. It would seem most of her role in this would be simply greeting people, as her writer was much too busy with tending the new baby for more regular or longer posts.
-Aya Good evening, Knight Bastiel. How are you today?

NCO didn't hesitate though he did make a slight distinction, as the basic word meant something a little different than he intended. He raised the next glass and again said a word before downing the drink and setting the empty glass on the bar. He noticed the new arrival, and wasn't certain who she was, but Jade seemed to be familiar with her so she got a pass for now.

How are you today? Adelle fairly jumped out of her skin. She could have sworn she was walking by herself a moment ago. Her surprise quickly turned to paranoia at the use of her title and name."I'm fine, mostly," she said, brow furrowing. "Have we met?"

-Aya Only out of character in chat. I do believe this is the first time we have met in character. Or at least, mostly in character.
Her smile, & lack of overbearing armor was designed to make a person feel welcome, even if they were the sworn enemies of the House of D'Ordinii. Designed being the key term. Of course, for the duration of the ball, safe passage had been guaranteed to all the guests.

Something in her said this person could be trusted to be honorable—to an extent—and wasn't one of the agents of her transformation. Adelle relaxed a bit, wiping the sharp questioning look off her face. To be honest, a genuinely smiling Zabrak scared her more than having her name known by a stranger. This one felt ... mischievous.
"I see." The words the Zabrak said sounded strange. In character? Chat? Adelle brushed the words aside. She'd puzzle it out later. "So my enigmatic hostess, what is all this?" She gestured to the palace, encompassing the guests, the affair, everything.

-Aya This? This is a nice fun party to cut loose at. What else did you expect?
Aya's writer, Admy, nods her head, after all, mandos throw the best parties. It was like Vegas, but with more booze & less consequences.

While Z'har and herself had been close that relationship hadn't necessarily had time to encompass other people. She hoped it wasn't too late, although, maybe it didn't even matter anymore. Well, actually it did matter. It would matter even more in a bit. She picked up the third glass, signaling for the bartender and ordering tihaar for the second round of drinks. The night was still young."Small talk has never really been my strong suit," she wryly continued, wondering just exactly what Non-Com thought about her. Specifically, her and Z'har. "Your turn to toast," she added, swirling the amber liquid in its clear glass.

NC picked up his third shot, and snorted at her comment about small talk. He tended to avoid it as much as possible, thus his pretense of only being here on official business, an easy out if he needed it. So much for that idea, at least things ... well that's no longer relevant. My turn to toast? Osik, what the devil was there even left besides the dead and family? eh, it wasn't like he had any younglings to toast to... eh, why not? Let's see if the Jetii can drink to the old man's achievements.
To the Infinite Imperium, then.
I chuck the liquid to the back of my throat, since my long bill made sipping ... well, significantly less than feasible in polite company. I'm moderately surprised she chose to stick with the corellian whiskey, I'd chosen it out of familiarity, but perhaps it was sufficient for her need at them moment. I glance back out at the room, wondering when Aya had found time to change... Though, the new gown did suit her better than the armor had.
