there's was another mando who clocked in at 17 which makes you number 18.
more can still join the minimum for the pre-season is 16 but it can be pushed as high as 32 if need be
so now there are 18 participants

No, not what I said....I said we were THINKING about 32. 16 is the cutoff.
We -do- need a couple of alternates though. SO...in light of that, if we are still at 18, maybe two more? No guarantees you will get a spot in the tourney, but as previous tourneys have been concerned, its wise to have alternates.

We are standing at 16. However, if we can -get- 32 people plus some alternates? We will go with 32. Signups are still open.

Quick note: If we don't get 32 but manage to get 24 by the close date this is what we're toying with... We can have a 16-man and an 8-man, the winners of each will duel for the trophy. That way the extra sign-ups won't miss out on a tourney. How does that sound?
