Observing the Chiss, Savage arched an eyebrow. An oddity to be sure. Not many were rushing to make his acquaintance and even less felt comfortable in his presence. This Chiss was an interesting individual, to be sure.
"You have come all this way to make my acquaintance? I'm flattered but you needn't have bothered. Aside from being cordial with my First Order colleagues, I have no desire to 'make friends'. Allies, perhaps, but not friends. After all, I have a sector to manage as a Grand Moff, a planet to govern and rule as the Sith'ari and a group of brash, young and undisciplined Sith to mold into proper Sith with the Academy. I hardly have time for friends these days..."
It may have been cold and harsh, but it was the truth. Savage hadn't actually had anyone he considered a friend since the days of the Tyrian Triumvirate back on Rhommamool, when Praxus and Kalen had been around...he clenched his jaw in annoyance for thinking of those times. His former brethren were long dead and gone. Nothing was going to bring them back, and even if he could bring them back, he wouldn't. He wasn't the same individual anymore...he was more liable to stab them in the back now than offer his hand in aid. Such was the way things went...

“You would find, Lord Savage, that I came here with a similar intent. Allies are, after all, important in this day and age, are they not?” This Chiss spoke in a flat voice. As was customary in his race, he showed no emotion at all. Never would be betray too much.

The Chiss Grand Moff kept his emotions in check and hid them well. Customary as a Chiss, Savage had learned. But Vlusu seemed to be exceptional at it. His demeanor was plain, voice flat. A difficult person to read in general. But he sense the truth in the words he spoke. And Savage did find himself agreeing with the blue-skinned alien.
"Indeed."
Agreed Savage. His fierce yellow eyes were still locked with the Chiss' red orbs. Knowing full well this was also a test of loyalty, at least of sorts, Savage decided to humor the Grand Moff and indulge a little further.
"As allies, what could you offer me that I cannot procure for myself, Grand Moff? As you may or may not be aware, I was the former High Admiral of the First Order Navy and I have managed to attain a rank equal to that of your own during our Coreward expansion. I have the same amount of respect and authority within the First Order as you do..."
This Chiss was clever. But Savage would figure out what he was truly after here. Grand Moff or not, one didn't usually drop by to make someones acquaintance. There was something more at work here...

"Perhaps this conversation is best had in private, Lord Savage." Vlusu knew that in order for him to form his web, he would need to be careful. Very careful. One misstep could lead to a major incident.

A slight smirk crossed the tattooed Zabrak's face. Continuing the conversation in private was both a wise move, as it kept their discussion away from the common soldiers, and it was also a deflection. Vlusu was avoiding the question. Perhaps he had struck a nerve with the Chiss? Or he wasn't nearly as loyal to the First Order as his rank suggested. If that were the case, then perhaps Viox and the Chiss Grand Moff could become 'friends', even in the loosest sens of the word. Just maybe. Waving his escort away, Savage motioned for the Chiss to follow him.
"As you wish. Follow me, to the Golden Room, if you will."
He still couldn't get a reading on this Chiss, but he had a feeling that things would be made clearer once they were in private.

Gavin flew over the city of Malidris, bringing his ship down low and to a slower speed. It was quite the view from above. He hoped that with time, he’d come to know it, the people. He couldn’t help but wonder if he’d find a place to stay for once. It had been so long since he called a place home. So many things he had come to witness over the course of his life, empires and orders coming and going. But with those he had aided, he never stuck around, merely doing his part until there was no true need for his knowledge and abilities, as others had come to fill those roles. In the end, he didn’t feel as if he belonged with them. Then again, it might have just been him and his neutral nature.
Shaking the thoughts from his head, he focused his mind on what lay in front of him. The Dark Diamond Palace was just ahead. Within it, he could feel the power of the darkness stirring. Above it all, he could make out the presence of one who was seeped within that darkness, even at this distance. Powerful people resides on this world. It made him wonder again if he’d truly have purpose here. Either way, he would gaze upon the foundations of this darkness before departing.
Bringing the ship down to a creep, the YT-1930 passed through the opening and into the palace’s hangar. Following the directions from the hangar personnel, he navigated the ship to a vacant spot that had been assigned to him. Setting the ship down with experienced grace, Gavin began to power down the systems, one by one. Once he finished the task, he waited for a moment, resting his head in his right hand, rubbing his chin and mouth. He needed to collect himself, gather some semblance of thought. Clearly, this man was a Sith and it was clear that the darkness he felt was a forming Sith order or empire. But without understanding, there was nothing to go with. He’d just have to be open minded with what came.
Proceeding from the cockpit, he made his way to his room. Resting in a large case was a collection of six lightsabers and a saberstaff. He grabbed five of them, placing two into holsters on each pant leg, one on each side of his belt, and one in a spot on the backside of his belt. He didn’t expect trouble, nor wish for any but it was always good to be prepared. Grabbing his trenchcoat, he put it on as he left his room and made his way down the boarding ramp. Waiting at the base, he ran a hand through his slicked back, sandy blonde hair. The power of this place was growing, it made him curious if they had been out on any excursions yet. Savage's Praetorian Shadowtrooper escort entered the hangar bay and approached the YT-1930. Their crimson armor gleamed under the overhead lights. And then the Sith'ari himself made his way towards the berthed ship. Garbed in the simple trappings of a Sith, customary black robes, tunic, boots and gauntlets, Savage appeared as a typical Sith. Nothing, aside from the flanking guards would seem to suggest he was of any importance. Upon reaching the blonde haired male, he spoke. His voice was commanding, yet smooth. Not too harsh or authoritative, but implying that certain doom would befall any who sought to challenge him on his own turf."Mr. Gavin Phoenix, I presume? I am Sith'ari Viox Savage, King of Iridonia and Grand Moff of the First Order. What brings you to my doorstep?"Short, sweet and to the point. Perhaps a bit blunt, but greeting esteemed guests was something he grew weary of, especially since his Queen, Larissa Novax was indisposed. She usually handled the interactions with visiting dignitaries and heads of state. But with her absence, the duty fell upon him. And he loathed it. But he would remain respectful of his guests until they proved deserving of a different treatment.

The minutes passed by as Gavin waited at the foot of his ship. While he expected to wait for a short time, with the relay of information to the Sith'ari and finding either a moment to greet him in person or send one to escort him, yet to wait this long, this Sith leader must have been quite busy.
In that time, he watched as another craft landed halfway across the hangar. Curious as to who else had arrived, his gaze shifted to the lowering loading ramp. From within he witnessed the unloading of a fleet of people. Most looked to be guards, the others he truly couldn't tell. But one man stood out amongst them. Shaded in a blue hue, he could only guess the man to be a Chiss, one dressed in the formal attire typically seen by those within the military. No doubt an important man to another order or, perhaps, even this one.
His gaze then shifted back to the entrance of the palace as a group arrived. At first, he thought he was being greeted finally, yet they didn't approach him. Instead, they headed straight for the newly arrived Chiss. For a split moment, irritation shot through him. But as quickly as it rose, he let it die. He knew nothing of the formally dressed man. He could have been invited or had an appointment, compared to his sudden arrival. There could have been important military information that needed to be discussed in person. Just as much, it could even simply boiled down to just the man's position or rank that gave his audience priority.
As they departed, Gavin felt out to the man leading the party. A Zabrak and one that held great power. It made him wonder if he was the Sith'ari or just a powerful being within the Blackguard's ranks. He imagined the answer would be revealed in time as he was once again left alone. Releasing a heavy sigh, he leaned back on the lift that moved the loading ramp of the ship. Crossing his arms, he made himself remember that patience was always key. For those that waited would be the ones to reap the benefits. In the end, it wasn't as if he had anywhere to go, nothing that required his time. And so, he chose to meditate in the mean time.
<:Choosing to direct his meditation upon himself, his mind beginning to move inward, retreating into the furthest depths of his being. Nearly all reality around him faded away save for that small connection with the world outside to know if someone finally came for him.
First, there was darkness. But before long, the mental plane began to change. His inner world took shape as his focus proceeded further into his spirit and mind, the area turning into a mangrove swamp covered in the twilight sky of dusk. The color in the trees, water and sky was slightly saturated, almost everything around him signifying some sense of balance and neutrality.
Opening his eyes, he kept leaned against a tree, much as he was against his ship. Glancing down, he peered into the calm shallow water he stood upon. It was so clean and clear that it seemed if nothing was there. Almost every detail could be made out on the ground beneath the marsh. As he watched, his non-existent reflection began to fade in and out of existence as the water began to ripple. With the slightest of smirks and scoffs, he closed his eyes, the sound of dripping water resonating faintly in his ears. Something had emerged from the swamp, slowly and quietly.
"So, you're finally trying to find a place to belong. Considering your past and way of thinking, I'm surprised you'd seek it among the Sith. Then again, I'm not complaining." Gavin shifted his gaze towards the dark, echoing voice and was greeted by what some would consider his dark reflection. He mirrored Gavin in nearly every way, the difference being the dark grey skin, claws in the place of fingernails, fangs replacing teeth, and jet black hair and eyes. Water dripped off of him as he stared Gavin down, head tilted slightly in curiosity.
Gavin held his gaze for a bit, his ice blue eyes meeting the endless black before finally looking back to the water. "I'm merely curious as to what I've been sensing from the place, Vannihr. I'm not looking for a home or, as you say, 'a place to belong.'"
"You can't hide the truth from us, Gavin. We are apart of you and know what you're thinking. So save us facade and just be honest with yourself." His gaze shifted upwards to another voice. Settling down onto the water was a winged woman, much like and angel. Long blonde hair, golden eyes and wings, a faint radiating glow of light, and wrapped in a near revealing gold robe, she was just as capable as inspiring lust in a being as well as peace, especially with her calm, soothing voice. "Has the endless years finally taken their toll? It's not easy, living for so long and on your own. The soul craves companionship in whatever form it chooses to show itself. You were never meant to wander like this, alone and separate from others."
Gavin said nothing for the longest before finally shaking his head with a sigh. They were right. Both of them were deeply part of him and his being, allowing them to know everything he did, see all he could see. There was no point in lying just as much as there was no point in saying anything at all.
But the woman's words were the truth. He had spent so many years simply wandering the galaxy, not even taking the time to socialize at a random cantina. In some aspects, if not all, it had hardened him and made him empty. He was but a hollow shell of the man he once was. And it was only a matter of time before the fragility of it would be exposed and he'd break under his isolation. However, as much as he tried to deny it, the shell had broken long ago and been crumbling form years. His time training Anya had given him strength, reshaping him a bit, only for her departure to tear down everything that was still holding him together. He had looked to different people, groups, and orders, yet none felt as if they'd help him reform himself. As much as he'd like to find a place to call home, he wasn't about to settle on just any group.
Looking up, he glanced between the two. Coretha and Vannihr, the angel and demon of his mind. While they had not existed within him his entire life, they had been around for quite some time, long enough to forget their orgins and what they truly were. One day, they were just there, yet Gavin responded to it as if they had always been there from the start. Were they spirits in the Force that joined with him? Maybe his mind had split into three parts, each unique in their ways of thinking, unable to fully co-exist in one mind? The third, and most likely option he could figure, was that his power had split into three beings, each with a mind of their own.
Gavin, himself, was the core and the true being, serving as the foundation for all of them. He was the middle ground, walking the neutral ground. He was the being that some would suggest as a Grey Jedi, or any of the other order that stood between darkness and light. It was what established his normal presence. When anyone felt him out, they'd simply a feel a presence devoid of darkness or light. It would just be there and certainly wouldn't feel impressive, being just shy of an average presence.
Vannihr, was the darkness, establishing an animalistic nature. In his mind, he fought without the use of the Force, but had great physical prowess. By what he could recall, he was born decades ago. The darkness inside had broke through with all of Gavin's contained emotions and overthrew Gavin, trapping him in his own mind. For years, the darkness ruled the body, its own being. After finally retaking control, this was the form it took, which explained why he seemed just a darker version of Gavin.
Coretha, the best he could recall, came in to existence shortly after Gavin was able to obtain control again. A means of balancing the new form of darkness within. She embodied the light within Gavin, though ti wasn't a light of peace and calm. It was a light of justice, one that never hesitated to fight the darkness, never concerned about finding another way or sticking to negotiation. For years, battle raged within his mind to either gain control or contain the other. But he was able to eventually quell the fighting and the three held a union. Now, Gavin could, in a way, fuse, allowing him to step further into the light or dark than he could alone.
Taking a breath, he finally broke the growing silence. "Yes, I do seek to find a place to settle and belong to as I once did. And I have no issue with residing with the Sith. But I will not just settle because I desire to. If I can not connect with those around me, find a reason to really be there, I will move on. I saw no reason to reside with the Galactic Empire and the Sith there, no reason to join the Jedi, not even the First Order showed me a reason to truly stay. I saw no purpose for myself in them. Time will tell if the same will be said of this group. "
Coretha nodded. "Good. Now that you are being honest with yourself, we will leave you to your meditations." She gave a smile and nod before lifting back into the sky and Vannihr slipped back into the water.:>
It wasn't long into his meditation that he felt the arrival of another. He let himself return to reality, recognizing the presence as the one who had already arrived. Opening his eyes, he watched as the Zabrak approached. He listened to the words, measured the tone, took in the presence. This was the Sith'ari, the one to lead this group and rule this world.
He wiated a moment before bow his head in respect to the man before speaking. "A pleasure, Lord Savage. I have come here, curious to the stirrings I have felt in the Force. During my meditations, I've sensed the growth of a dark power, one that seems different than I have sensed before. Unification and purpose. I had to see this for myself, and if possible, perhaps offer my aid, if there is need of such."

A small smirk caused the corners of his mouth to twitch upwards at the mention of 'curious stirrings' within the Force. Phoenix was referring to the Zabrak that stood before him, though he didn't realize it.
The thing was, at this point in time, the power Viox had taken in several months ago had grown. Ravenous and hungry, it bites and bites away. As the Sith Lord's mind. Being well aware of it, Viox didn't care what it was doing to him. For simple reasons, he was addicted to the power granted unto him by his ancestors. For more complicated reasons, Viox was working with @supremeleader to find ways to harness the power and utilize it however he saw fit. And as of right now, despite becoming an anomaly within the Force, all of the damage done to Viox was reversible. It could be undone. And it was because of this reason that he continued to utilize the power he had at his disposal.
Sizing the man before him up, he spoke.
"You have sensed correctly. Impressive. Unification and purpose are indeed my goals for the Blackguard Reborn. But the dark power you have sensed...that is an entirely different matter. Something to discuss at another time, perhaps. But not now. As for your offer of aid, how do you intend to accomplish this, should I decide to accept your offer?"
The Sith'ari wasn't about to turn away potential allies. Especially if the rumors he had been hearing lately were proving to be true about his father. Allies would be needed in the struggle ahead, should any of the rumors concerning his father be confirmed. But that was something to concern himself with at a later time. Right now, he waited for Gavin's response.

Gavin listened intently to the words spoken to him, never once did his ice blue eyes leave the Zabrak's. Little was said, yet, much was brought to light. He heard from the one in charge, himself, the name of the order he had come into. Along with it, the verification of what he felt involving unification and purpose for the dark-siders growing here. It also seemed that there was more to what he felt than just a surge of darkness from a group of people. The question then was what. Perhaps this single man before him? It brought a sense of curiosity to him, but he did not pry even as Viox said it was a topic for another time and location.
Even more interesting was the initial introduction, mainly, his place within the First Order. He remembered his own time upon Muunilinst. He had arrived before the First Order's birth, joining Nicademus in the battle of Mariunhus to remove the Banking Clan there. In the months that followed, the First Order was created. But he saw no reason to stay, seeing nothing to inspire any purpose. But he had left Nicademus with the means to get a hold of him should he ever need his aid. Yet, such a day never came. And with the position the great empire had, it seemed he'd never be needed.
A thought of the past, he returned his thoughts to the moment and the question asked of him. What could he do to aid the Blackguard Reborn? He was more than a capable warrior, having seen much conflict of varying degrees. He possessed great power himself and much knowledge that could be used. But what did he want in this? Was he to be just another warrior as he had always been? Or would he finally take a more important role, like a teacher? In the end, the best choice was to speak of what he possessed and let the Sith'ari decide.
Taking a breath, he gave a slight tilt of his head. "A question to which I can give no solid answer. Knowing nothing of what the Blackguard Reborn stands for, there is no way for me to say where I could be of use. But I'll speak of what I do have, and let you decide if I am worthy an investment. I am but a single man, so I can not offer armies, funds, or intel of such grand design. But through the course of my life, I have typically been a warrior. That spirit and heart resides deeply within me and drives me to always seek intense training of all kinds to always keep me at my best, able to face nearly any situation or environment. I may look young, but I have lived quite a long life, whether by heritage or curse, I can not say. But with time comes greater knowledge. I've resided within many orders: Jedi, Grey Jedi, Jen'Jidai, others not so well known, while other that are meant to be a secret. The knowledge I have the least amount of is what it means to be a Sith. I gained a little insight when I joined with a woman named Sinistra years ago, during the creation of the Galactic Empire under her. But that time was short, unfortunately."
Stopping himself, he realized he was more rambling, and most likely boring the man before him. Collecting his thoughts, he decided to try again. "Apologies for the senseless words. Spending may years alone does not do well for social interactions. As I have said, I am a warrior, trained in all lightsaber forms and many combat forms beyond, including skill with many weapon types. I can step into the light or the dark as needed for training or battle. I have knowledge and understanding of many philosophies of different orders and possess knowledge to further enhance the capabilities of another through intensive training. From that, I'd say the most I can offer is being another warrior on the battlefield or a teacher of your acolytes and apprentices. Perhaps I can shape them to be far greater than they already are."

Savage eyed the man before him carefully. He mentioned being a warrior. Savage could respect that. Most of his unnatural lifespan, he too, had been nothing more than a mere warrior at the beck and call of higher powers. And then the man spoke of residing with in many orders. Again, Savage could understand that. His own training started at the hands of the Jedi, at least until his father decided to intervene. At that point, he was doomed to the dark path he now was treading. And then the mention of Sinistra came. Since the First Order was born of the ashes of her original Empire, it was hard not to know the name. Savage served her for a brief time, and then ended up serving Nicademus as he rallied those loyal to the Imperial banner. And then Phoenix summarized everthing neatly. Either a warrior or a teacher seemed to be his calling. And Savage was not in need of another warrior at this time. He had plenty of those. People willing to get their hands dirty and do the bidding of the Sith'ari freely. But a teacher. If the next generation of Sith were to become anything noteworthy, they needed the best. And it certainly seemed as though this man was one of them. Collecting his thoughts, Savage spoke.
"Indeed. That is quite the resume. As skilled as you claim to be, I need not another warrior. Regardless of skill. I need someone to hone the minds of those who will rise from our ashes. Someone to take a formidable warrior and mold them into something terrifying...you say you can teach? That you possess knowledge well beyond your years? If what you have said is true, than you will become a far greater asset to me within the walls of the Academy, than a warrior on the battlefront. Head to the Academy. See for yourself, what you have to work with. If you decide that is where you want to be, then you may speak with the Headmaster. If you seek a place elsewhere, you will be granted safe passage from here."
Savage continued to eye the man up for a few seconds longer, then motioned to his guards and turned on his heel. Leaving Phoenix to decide what path he wished to walk, Savage grinned to himself as he strode away. He already knew where Gavin was going to go, but once he saw the Academy, he'd be sold. Having acquired the best of the best from worlds under the sway of the First Order, as well as many from worlds that held prospective Jedi, Savage had swepth through the galaxy, claiming any and all he found fit to serve the Sith.

During the course of his speech, it was easy to tell Viox was eyeing him, measuring him. A smart man would in any case, that was, any who valued themselves, their rank, or what they had built. Any man who didn't was foolish and thought far too highly of themselves, or not well enough. And he could tell this Zabrak wasn't one. Even more, he was certain that Viox knew he was being measured as well. After all, not everyone simply bowed a knee due to some blind sense of loyalty.
After a few moments of silence, The Sith'ari spoke. It seemed that his words found some interest within Viox's mind. It was a start. And felt a teacher was needed over another warrior. That was fine for him. It gave him time to understand the Blackguard, its purpose, and its goals. There might have been things involved a warrior's path that didn't appeal to him. Yet, he had no qualms with teaching those at the academy. As contradictory as it may have seemed, if his teachings were used in something he didn't much like, he would say nothing of it. He wouldn't teach philosophy and purpose. There were true Sith teachers who would do that and he always believed that only the individual could find true purpose in themselves. He would merely fan the flame for greatness and leave them to chose their path. Then again, time would tell what he'd come to see and think before all was done. For now, he'd follow the advice given to him.
"I will go to the academy then. I'm sure I'll be quite impressed with what I'll find." He gave a slightly bow. "And for whatever path I choose to walk, I do so hope to speak with you again."
Watching Viox and his guards disappear into the palace, Gavin smirked to himself. Say what they will about Sith, he knew the truth that others refused to believe. There were many among them who were men of honor and respect. Such as was proven by allowing him to freely leave should he chose not to stay. With a path opened to him, he boarded his ship and prepped it for launch, soon departing the hangar and making his way to the academy.

The ride down to Malidris was a quiet one. Focusing on piloting the shuttle, Venom's attention was directed away from his Clan brother. What Valafar was doing in the passenger cabin was unclear. Either meditation or merely just observing, Venom couldn't tell. Once the shuttle was soaring over the walled city of Malidris, Venom took a moment to take in the view. The city seemed to be functioning as it should. A booming economy, it would seem. A part of Venom was actually impressed. He had expected the people of Iridonia to be oppressed under someone like Viox, but that was not the case. Clearly, he had missed something in his original assumptions of how Iridonia would be faring under Viox's rule. Approaching the hangar bay of the palace, Venom guided the craft down to the designated landing platform. Once the shuttle was safely on the ground, he flicked several switched in quick succession to power the shuttle down. Rising from his seat, he adjusted his cloak and motioned for Valafar to follow.
"Here goes nothing. This was either the best idea we had, or this truly will be the end of our clan...either way, we shouldn't keep him waiting..."
Hitting the release, the ramp decended, allowing both Zabraks to exit the confines of the shuttle.

As the Starkiller brothers exited the shuttle, the Stormtroopers guarding the hangar bay immediately raised their weapons. After all, as the past would dictate, the Starkillers were enemies of Clan Savage. Or at least that was what one tyrannical zealot wanted the historians to believe. Flanked by his Shadowtroopers garbed in shiny red Praetorian Armor, Sith'ari Viox Savage, strode forward to meet his new guests. Dressed in the simple trappings of a Sith, Savage motioned for the Stormtroopers to lower their weapons. Coming to a halt a few feet away, the Shadowtroopers stood at attention while the Sith'ari strode closer to the Starkillers. He eyed up Venom. A small smirk crossed his lips.
"So...it would seem you've paid a visit to my former sanctuary on Rhommamool...an interesting choice of attire, my former apprentice."
And then his eyes darted over to the towering brute that he could only assume was Valafar, the one who had been trained at the hands of his father.
"And who is this lumbering giant? A bodyguard? Venom, you surprise me. Surely you don't still bear a grudge against me, after all this time...?"
The smirk changed to a grin that split the tatooed Zabrak's face. Mocking and insulting them was merely banter at this point. And it was a test, to see if they truly were here to join him, or if they were brazen enough to try and kill him right here and now. They would fail, of course, but it would be amusing to see them try.

The shuttle that brought her from the Academy landed in the Hanger. Nidana, stepped out and was amazed at the structure. So opulent and beautiful. The only thing that could have made it more so in her eyes, would have been it half buried in sand and begging to be excavated. She looked around sheepishly, wondering where to go. Holding herself, almost in a hug, she started to slowly walk towards the main entrance to the hanger bay, trying to be as small and inconspicuous as possible. Most would likely not notice her unless looking for her specifically.

Holding herself, almost in a hug, she started to slowly walk towards the main entrance to the hanger bay, trying to be as small and inconspicuous as possible. Most would likely not notice her unless looking for her specifically. As the small, slender figure of Nidana walked across the hangar bay, a Shadowtrooper, armored in the newest gear to be churned out by the First Order, approached her. The red armor was seamless and sparkled under the overhead lights.Ma'am. Sith'ari Savage instructed that I escort you to the Golden Room. Follow me.The red armored trooper motioned for the young Echani to follow him. He led the woman to the main turbolifts that would take them up to the Golden Room, where the Throne Room was located. It wouldn't take long for them to arrive, as the Sith'ari was expecting the young woman...

A small smirk crossed his lips."So...it would seem you've paid a visit to my former sanctuary on Rhommamool...an interesting choice of attire, my former apprentice."And then his eyes darted over to the towering brute that he could only assume was Valafar, the one who had been trained at the hands of his father."And who is this lumbering giant? A bodyguard? Venom, you surprise me. Surely you don't still bear a grudge against me, after all this time...?"The smirk changed to a grin that split the tatooed Zabrak's face. Mocking and insulting them was merely banter at this point. And it was a test, to see if they truly were here to join him, or if they were brazen enough to try and kill him right here and now. They would fail, of course, but it would be amusing to see them try. Valafar listen to what the Sith'ari had to say, he knew that it was wise to allow Venom to do the talking until the situation became more clear, otherwise Valafar could say something that could provoke the Sith'ari. Valafar could sense a darkness that was radiating outward from the Sith'ari's very core, it almost had a similar pressure that his bloodlust radated once he lets it out. Valafar figured that at same point in the Sith'ari's life his father did something very similar to the ritual that he had performed on Valafar at a young age. Valafar could tell that if the Sith'ari didn't kill them, then both clans would have powerful allies.

Venom arched an eyebrow at the suggestion that he still bore a grudge against his former master after all these years. He didn't, actually. Which was surprising. His time with Aedone Montrose and Nathan Reynolds allowed him to let go of much of his past. But there were some things that were just hard-wired. Shaking his head, he chuckled.
"No, my lord. I do not come bearing old grudges from the past. Such things need not be dredged up. I am here to join you. My brother and I both. Even in my weakened state, I sensed your presence through the Force, lightyears away from here. Whatever you have done, or become, it has made you even more formidable than you once were. Something that I know for a fact that your father will underestimate...he is very much alive, as I am sure you are well aware of..."
Venom knew this situation was...delicate, so to speak. Viox could be toying with them, for all he knew. But surely he wasn't so arrogant to turn away potential allies. If he was still even half as ambitious as he once was, he would accept the help and put Venom and Valafar to good use somewhere within his organization.

A wicked grin split the Sith'ari's face, as he began to cackle loudly. After a few moments of hysterical cackling, he smirked as he spoke to his former apprentice.
"You wish to join me...? Indeed this is a most curious development. One that I would not have thought possible when I woke this morning..."
Glancing from Venom to Valafar, he addressed the lumbering giant.
"And what say you, Valafar? Was this a decision you both wish to make, or was this merely my former apprentice's way of trying to get revenge on me? I may dislike my former apprentice, but I loathe anything to do with my father. You reek of his foul machinations. And yet, despite my urge to beat you down several notches, I find myself more than willing, happily even, to accept your pledge of allegiance. It gives me one more thing of my father's to twist against him, which is perfectly acceptable in my books. So, are you willing to submit yourself to me? Are you willing to fight, kill and even die in service to me?"
He asked the large Zabrak with a gleeful sparkle within his fierce yellow eyes. As Venom was about to speak, Savage helped up a gloved hand, index finger raised to silence him.
"You have spoken your piece...now it his your...brother's turn..."
His face split into a menacing grin as he studied the large Zabrak's reaction.

As Valafar listened to both his clan brother and the Iridonia Sith'ari speak to one another, he thought on what the future entailed for him and the starkiller clan. There was no doubt in his mind that the clan would prosper working with the Sith'ari. Valafar thought for moment before he responded to Viox. He knew that if he said anything that he didn't like both he and his brother would have a fight on their hands, and that was the exact opposite of what they wanted at the present second.
"The last time I served a member of clan savage, I ended up killing most of my own clan. Your father used me as a secret weapon that he could discarded whenever he wanted to. He'll find out that when you discard a weapon that sometimes someone else will pick it up and use it against you. So to answer your question I will fight and kill for you and if I must die in order for your father's blood to be spilled then so be it."
After speaking his piece Valafar kneeled before the Sith'ari. All the while secretly hoping that his answer did not upset the Sith lord, whose presence was pure darkness radiating from his very core.

An interesting turn of events, to be sure. But the Sith'ari hid is surprise from the Starkillers.
Truthfully, he hadn't expected Valafar to join his cause so willingly. Especially since he had been trained and manipulated by his father for so long. Perhaps there was room for improvement with this one, yet?
With a small smirk, he glanced from Valafar to Venom.
"It would seem that your Clan Brother is willing and eager to prove himself...which leaves only your decision. I will give you this one chance to either join me or walk away freely. Should you choose to walk away, know that if we encounter each other elsewhere in the galaxy, I will not hesitate to squeeze the life from you..."
He did have a modicum of respect for his former apprentice. And while he didn't exactly trust either of them yet, they certainly could be useful. And he had the perfect opportunity for them to prove their use, should Venom bend a knee and pledge his skills to the Blackguard...
