It was nearly thirty minutes or so before she received word that the final members of her team had arrived. With that knowledge, she requested a call for all of her personnel to report to the hangar to prepare for deployment. It wasn;t but a few minutes later that she heard the call ring out over the station-wide comm system. That was her cue to head out and wait for the arrival of everyone. Those who had already been here would make their way back as the new arrivals would be escorted.
Exiting the ship, she saw many already gathering who weren't presently checking out the ship while those who were left the ship and gathered together. She stood there watching until she received word that the final members had arrived. It was then she realized she was a bit nervous. After all, it was her first go at commanding anything and she was moved up to the captain and put in charge of a ship. However, she knew she couldn't let it hold her back. Moving to stand upon a small platform, she looked out to those gathered and spoke aloud, quieting the crew as they listened. "I am Captain Reyes. I welcome all of you as we get ready to embark upon our new detail. For those who are not fully aware of our new mission, allow me to clarify it for you now. We have been chosen to create a new task force, one focused on covert and special operations. Currently, we may be only a single ship with a small fighter squadron and a small team of troopers but that is just fine. I believe that the people gathered here today are among the best the First Order has to offer. Why else would command assign us to such a role? It's not for the fighter squadron or the stormtroopers alone. No, to bring out the full capability of what this team is meant to accomplish, we must all be of that level of skill and knowledge. Only as a team working together in all aspects are we capable of succeeding and showing the others within the First Order just what we can do."
She took a moment, taking a few breaths as she looked around. "I'm sure that some of you have worked together before. For some, you have been reassigned while others have yet take on their first assignments. While many of the First Order ships are similar, I'm sure there will be a process of learning needed to fully acclimate ourselves that the full abilities of our new ship, the Valahia. That is why for the first few months unless we are called on, we will not be moving out to any patrol. We will undergo training side by side with each other to not only fully understand our ship, but each other. It is together that we succeed or fail. I may be your captain, but I do not expect trust and respect by my rank alone. I've spent much time trying to review everyone's files and get to know them, but I know I can't fully come to understand each of you until we leave this place and begin working together. That is my goal and desire for all of us, to become more than a ship full of ranks and positions. I know it'll take a little time, but I know we will get there."
Placing her hands behind her back, she stood tall before the rest of them. "I hope all of you are ready for it is time to set our course and together, bring the Valahia from its dry dock and take it upon its maiden journey. So get settled and report to your posts for we will be departing within the next thirty minutes. Welcome to Razgriz Squadron." She then snapped to attention and saluted them as they did so in return.
She remained where she was as everyone began to make their way onboard. Many that arrived early had their things already packed and put away. It allowed them to help those who had yet to fully understand the ship and its layout. It wasn't until everyone and boarded that Xoia followed after.

As the crew went about settling themselves in and getting to their posts, Xoia moved about the ship, simply watching everyone. Observation was just as much key as actually speaking with people in understanding them. Actions always spoke louder than words so it paid to pay attention to even the minuscule details. It would, with time, allow her to figure out who said one thing and did another, who was facing issues they were keeping pent up, or even who was just having a bad day. As Captain, she wanted to ensure she was as there as she could be for her crew members. She didn't just want to be a rank they had to respect and follow, but a person they fully trusted and believed in. For a ship as small as this, it was a task that was easy enough to do.
As the time ticked down and approached the final minutes, the woman approached the bridge, her eyes looking about to the crew that resided there. All seemed to be in place and were awaiting orders as they reviewed their station to make sure they knew what they were doing. She was glad that the major systems on First Order ships were inherently the same, making it easy to jump from ship to ship and quickly adapt.
Reaching the viewport, she stood there quiet for a moment, looking into the hangar bay and, past that, open space. It was then that she felt the approach of another before a male voice spoke out to her.
"Captain Reyes." He snapped to attention as she turned around to look at him. "I am Lieutenant Amar Vilrein. I was chosen to be the XO of this vessel when you and Razgriz Squadron are away on a mission. I look forward to serving with you, ma'am."
Xoia returned the salute before looking the man over. She could see he was a bit tense and felt his excitement. This caused her to smirk a bit. "At ease, Lieutenant. I read your file. You possess a knack for leadership. You were apart of the Hagor Patrol Fleet and during an attack in which your ship was damaged and your commander injured, you stepped up and was able to not only command the fleet well but successfully was able to take out the enemy while getting your ship to safety to undergo repairs. If you are as half as good the reports claim, I'm glad to leave the ship in your care when we are away." She then turned back to the viewport. "It is time. Open a ship-wide channel."
"Of course, Captain." Vilrein gave a nod and turned to the communications officer. Once the channel had been opened, he looked back to Xoia. "Ship-wide channel is open."
Taking a breath, Xoia turned to the bridge crew to address them face to face as the comms transmitted her voice across the ship. The time has now come. All hands to your station and prepare for departure. Its time to show the First Order and the galaxy who we are and show them why we are here. I'm counting and believing in each of you. She then turned to Vilrein. "Would you like to do the honors, Lieutenant?"
The man's face lit up a bit when she offered him the chance to give the order to depart the dry dock. In many cases, it wasn't much of an honor, but for the ship's first trip and being given the chance to do so by the captain instead of her doing it was enough for him.
"Yes, Captain. It would be an honor." Turning to the bridge crew, he stood attention. "Begin engine start up sequence. Flight crew, let's take her out."
Xoia watched as Vilrein gave the commands. It wasn't but a few moments later that the sounds of the engines and repulsors came to life. As the ship shook as it lifted off, Xoia returned to looking out the viewport as the vessel began making its way out of the dock and into space.
Clear of the hangar, the ship pressed away into the planet's orbit.

Administrator Voss of Kuat Drive Yards arrived in his shuttle. The Moffs and other officials wanted the shipyards in the First Order to be on the same pages. Though they were not partnered and still in competition, the groups would operate better if they were not hostile to each other. The main thing that was stressing was contracting to keep all bays full at all times. Using other companies to fill orders will benefit everyone. He wasn't as excited to share designs, but it would benefit all companies in the end.

Foerost Shipyards still held the honor of reviving the Imperial Navy. Kuat, Rendili, Yaga Minor, they all extended that honor, but it was the acquisition of Foerost that saw the stabilization of the Remnant Navy to ensure the glory that was held today by the First Order. Back then, Foerost had been among the rogue worlds that broke away as central authority collapsed after the disappearance of Cade Fel and the decline of the Second Fel Empire. Its Moff, a female's name that has been forgotten, had proven arrogant given the world she possessed. The arrival of a thrown together navy, led by the then General Delvardus, ensured the people rose up and tossed her out of her office... literally speaking. Foerost found its place under the new united leadership of the Supreme Commander and prospered as a result. Mining from Aargau, as well as its finances, helped bring the shipyard out of its dark days and into a new era of efficiency. Though always under military administration, it has remained vibrant and alive with ongoing projects, ranging from Resurgent-class Battlecruisers to smaller Vigil-class Corvettes. Many of the older commanders, within the Imperial Navy, have said that if it wasn't for Foerost, there would be no Navy.

Despite being reluctant during his visit, Administrator Voss had made a few friends his last time here. He had managed to secure an exchange to build one of the new Resurgents at Kuat. News of his death threatened to hold up any future projects if this first one was unsatisfactory. The Grand Moff sent shipwrights to ask any questions they had in person. She wasn't about to risk something getting lost over holocom.

The Shipwrights were welcomed politely, but they could tell they were a burden. They lacked the late administrator's charm. Their questions were answered quickly but curtly. They couldn't wait to leave, but they had to be thorough. Grand Moff Thul had a kind face and was welcoming, but there was something they told the builders that failure was not an option here.

The first Resurgent produced at Kuat arrived in system for an examination. The shipwrights nervously waited on the bridge, watching dials and read outs. They were frightened that something would go wrong, and they would be blamed. A lot road on this deal, things had to go well. The Grand Moff had a good reputation, but they all felt that failure was not an option. They did not want to find out what would happen to someone who failed.

The Kaut produced ship met all standards and specifications. The shipwrights all shared a drink with a few of the friends they had met their first time here. This was a great day for the First Order.

Emerging from hyperspace, the Valahia began its approach towards Foerost Shipyards. It had been quite some time since the ship's maiden voyage from this very shipyard, most repairs taking place in some of the more popular drive yards, namely Kuat. But she had finally returned by Xoia's request.
Standing in front of the viewport, she gave her commands. "Open a channel." It was only a few moments before the channel was open. Foerost Shipyards, this is the Valahia, requesting permission to land for modifications.
A few minutes passed as orbital control underwent their scans, verifying the ship was the one it claimed to be. Once all was approved, a response came.
Valahia, we have been expecting you. Permission is granted. Please report to hangar B-9.
Giving a nod, the flight crew brought the ship in to the designated hangar. Already making her way through the ship, she made it to the boarding ramp as the vessel touched down, the ramp lowering shortly after. Already the executive that had welcomed her on the day she first arrived was there with a group of engineers and workers who were looking over the ship.
Descending the ramp, she reached out shook the man's hand. "It has been quite some time since we first departed these hangars. It actually makes me happy to be back."
The man nodded.
"Indeed. When you requested for us to be in charge of the suggested modifications, I was rather thrilled. We may all work to support the First Order, however, we still strive to be seen as more capable than the others. Speaking of, I'm surprised you are asking for such a simple modification. Sure it'll take a little time to replace it all, but changing out the standard gray hull typical of Imperial ships, you just want it replaced with a black hull. Considering your roll, it's easy to see why. Makes us surprised we didn't do so initially. That being said, are you certain you wouldn't want it replace with stealth plating? Perhaps some nightshade hull coating?"
Xoia giggled a bit as the man worked to sell her on other ideas. "Just the black hull will be fine. While one can never be too cloaked for those in a role such as ours, I've gone through and reviewed it with some of the engineers and we don't feel it is necessary. The systems you provided are more than capable enough to keep us off an enemy's sensors. The only thing more you could do is provide us with a full cloak, however that would require a rework of the system and may even cause us to loose our offensive advantage further. The stealth generator you provided is enough to keep us off sensors and with a black hull, it'll be easier for us to visually move around, much like our Silencers. When engaged with the full force of the Obsidian Sentinel fleet, getting behind an enemy isn't too difficult, allowing us to attack from their blindside and disrupt their assault."
"I suppose I can't argue with that logic. If you are sure, that is what we will do."
Xoia nodded. "Has their been any word on my other request?"
"There has. The request has been approved and construction has begun. Can't say I'm surprised. The Raider-class Corvettes are effective vessels, to be sure. But when compared to the Sloane, they are obsolete in nearly every way. Faster, tougher, stronger, and capable of carrying squadron of fighters, it is a much better ship to have. As such, the four Raiders will be replaced with Sloanes. They shouldn't be too much longer and they'll be delivered to their respective divisions.
Xoia nodded with satisfaction. With that, she followed him further into the facility as the crew disembarked and got ready to enjoy their down time.

Entering an office room within the wharft yards of Foerost, Director Malachai was already expected by one of the Koros Starship Industries foremen in charge of the Shipyards. There weren't many words spoken before she stood next to the man, who was standing in front of the window port, staring outside. Various ships could be watched assembled, a small fleet forming slowly before their eyes. While it would take them still months to assemble the ships, some of the frames could already be identified. "As you can see your request is slowly taking form, Director", the man stated dry, while he wasn't even looking to his left side, where she stood, "At first I was surprised that the HI-C would make such an odd request towards us, given that our expertises differ much from another. Therefore my curiousity was peaked, if you wish to understand why you were requested." Director Malachai barely moved as her gaze remained fixed upon the starship hulls as well. "We all have our reasons for what we do", she solely answered neutral, "That is all that should concern you thus far." The man raised an eyebrow. "And does the Emperor know of this... project of yours." The raven-haired woman nodded. "A time will come, when these forces will be necessary, should the First Order's integrity fail for whatever unexpected reasons", she added thoughtful, as if it was something that needed to be clarified, "See it like one of these ships: The hull might fall, might get destroyed, yet it is the core of the ship, that matters the most. We provide the men necessary, wheras Foerost will give them the means to defend this very fragile core." The Foreman remained unconvinced. Even outside the vacuum of space, the cold tension could be felt. "Some might claim that your aspirations outshine the necessity for such kind of backup plans, Director. Given the scale of the funds, that were sent to us one might even assume, that you wish to repeat the follys of the past before the Empire came into being and granted us the order, the galaxy needed." Now she smiled weakly, as if he had said something funny. "I am aware of the gossip within the upper echolons of the Empire regarding the project, for there only few that know about it, including you and your superiors", she stated solely smug, before turning away from the window port, "Yet most seem to forget that it were the Kaminoans that made these very errors, that might lead you to such foolish beliefs. The Hesperidium Institute teaches our creations morals and loyality, not just their designation and training. The times, where a chip controlls the very thinking of mankind, are by now gone. Our forces make solely a small portion of the First Order's actual strength, for they are only created to make a difference should everything collapse for reasons unknown." "It seems unlikely for me, that such an event could happen from one day to another and consume what the Emperor has built up within decades." "Prior to Endor nobody thought that the Emperor could be defeated by a mere rebel force. Just trust me that some day these vessels you are currently constructing will serve their purpose. Or better hope that they won't... in either case you and the regular citizen will sleep better with the knowledge that someone is able to step in, when every other military instance will crumble apart."
The Foreman nodded neutral, showing no emotion. "In either case it will take time until your fleet will be finished, Director", he informed her eventually, "Better hope that you have a backup plan in the meantime, should your expectations be met earlier than we all anticipated." For a moment there was a sly grin on her face. "Oh, I'm positive that this future is far ahead of us", she told him sly, giving him an amused look, "Otherwise the Council would have requested this project far earlier."

"Do you see that? I’ve never seen a ship like that in the First Order Navy. Think it’s a new model? Can’t say I’ve heard anything about it." A blonde haired woman made her way up to the viewing glass and set her gaze upon the Cazador-class Star Destroyer. Gazing out farther at a gathered fleet revealed even more vessels that seemed Imperial in design, but weren’t on any roster for the navy.
"Actually, that is a ship that was built by the Solenbaran Diarchy. According to reports, the faction itself has crumbled away and a few people have made their way into the First Order. I heard talk around the shipyards this ship and the fleet are being inspected for one of those individuals. Apparently, they were promoted straight to Vice-Admiral." Xoia made her way up to the glass and inspected the fleet as well with the other two of her fighter squadron. It was back to the shipyards for the usual maintenance and result. While the fleet had been busy with patrols, her ship and team had been focusing on pirate raids in Imperial space. Not only had they been tasked to end these raids but to use her stealth vessels to try and find any hideouts so they could stomp them out at the source. Running a single ship on these mission did take its toll from time to time, especially if they got caught battling a few more than a couple. Powerful as her ship was, it could only handle so much punishment.
"Starting at Vice-Admiral, huh? Must be quite the reputation to be able to start off there. The Emperor doesn’t play games with those ranks. If he has it, he’s earned it. And honestly, from what I can see, those ships aren’t something to mess around with. Might even tear through our fleet if we went head to head with it."
"I’m honestly curious to hold they hold up. Wonder if they still carry the starfighters from the Diarchy. Would love to see how they compare, myself."

—Vasili had finished checking in with those in charge to verify all had been finished with the inspections. With all clear, he had begun his trek through the facility to his ship when he passed the quartet staring out the window. He could hear their conversation, speaking of his ships and his placement in the ranks. At least they didn’t view his as unworthy. The military of the First Order understood its Emperor well.
Taking a moment he redirected himself, stepping up quietly behind them as he gazed at the view of his fleet.—
"They certainly are capable vessels. I couldn’t be prouder to have them in my fleet."
—He smirked a bit as they turned around in surprise.—
"I am Lucius Vasili. The recently appointed Vice-Admiral you mentioned. And who might you four be?"

All four quickly snapped to attention as Lucius mentioned who he was. It was still working itself through the Navy about the recent appointment of the Vice-Admiral.
"Sir! It’s a pleasure. These are Lieutenants Kadel Erass, Iayi Brin, and Vibrek Ondarr. And I am Captain Xoia Reyes. I am in command of the Valahia, and flight lead of Razgriz squadron with these three. We are the covert and special tactics divisions of the Obsidian Sentinel patrol fleet."

—Lucius’s eyes focused in on each person as they were introduced. It was always pleasing to meet with others that existed within the navy outside of his own command. It allowed for a broader picture to be painted in his mind regarding how the military as well as individual fleets under others functioned as well as to just grasp the nature of the many face that served the First Order.—
"At ease. While there is still much to learn of the many fleets that traverse Imperial space, I have sought in my time thus far to know of the different groups and individuals that exist within the First Order. The Obsidian Sentinel fleet is one I have seen. A single fleet broken into six smaller regular patrol fleets and your covert team. Not a bad strategy, if I say so myself. A large fleet is overkill for typical patrols of pirates but a larger raid from an enemy would obliterate anything of smaller proportions. Trying to get aid from other fleets can take time. But having a large fleet that works together when needed while breaking off for smaller patrols is quite genius. I’m curious, though. You crew only has a four man fighter squadron? Is it because of your role as a covert task force or is your ship only capable of carrying that many?"

Standing at ease, Xoia beamed inwardly knowing that the name of the fleet was something the new Vice Admiral was aware of, even understanding a bit of its make up already. Normally, admirals and the like would focus on fully grasping the major fleets before working their way down the list. And the idea of how her fleet functioned being genius in his eyes made her stand with pride considering it had been her idea. In the beginning, her group was meant to stand alone. They still aided other fleets when necessary, but they were tied to the Obsidian Sentinel.
When asked about her smaller squadron, she was happy to answer, knowing that few understood the purpose of their team. "The Sloan-class Destroyers as well as our stealth destroyer is capable of carrying twelve fighters. However, we function as a four man team for a reason. Each of us are Force-sensitive that has been trained by one of the Force groups that exist within the First Order. Yet, we chose to stay as part of the First Order Navy and not fight alongside the other groups unless we are teamed up with them. Through our skills and ability to use the Force to not only increase our reflexes and grant is a bit of precognition, we are able to link up via the Force and became much closer in mind and spirit. Maneuvers and orders are transmitted faster than normal, making us very difficult to deal with. Couple that with the superior TIE Silencers and we are nearly unbeatable. We also carry a pair of bombers as well should we need to use them instead."

—Though his facial expression remained mostly unchanged, the idea of what their squadron could accomplish had the wheels turning in Lucius’s. These pilots had been quite the find. Most certainly one to keep eyes one for the future.—
"I see. Such abilities would make for exceptional pilots. The First Order is mostly certainly lucky to have soldiers like you within its ranks, dedicated to your duty and your order. I may be new, but it does make me proud."
—He then looked to Kadel, recalling his curiosity regarding their starfighters.—
"You were curious about the starfighters we brought from the Solenbaran Diarchy. If you’d like, you can come aboard and take a look. I’m sure Colonel Grimm would more than enjoy showing off our ships as well as picking your mind about the new Silencers we gained."

For a moment each of their eyes lit up at the idea of seeing just what the Diarchy had to offer in terms of starfighters. Were they better? Sleeker? Or was the Silencer the peak of starfighter supremecy next to the modified Whisper, which very few bothered to utilize. However, after a moment, Xoia’s eyes dimmed as she spoke.
"While it would certainly be a pleasure and an honor, I’m afraid we must decline. It won’t be much longer before our own ship is ready to depart and we need to be ready to return to our patrol. I hope there can come a time where such an opportunity can be taken up upon."

—Lucius gave a smile and a nod.—
"Of course. Duty before pleasure. Indeed it is nice to see. Another time for certain, but in the mean time, I shall send the schematics to you so that your curiosity may be temporarily satiated. But speaking of duty first, I should take my leave. My ship is also ready and should heading out. Until we meet again."

"That would be an honor, sir. Looking over the schematics would certainly go a long way to satisfy our curiosity until such an opportunity arises."
When he spoke of taking his leave, the group gave him a salute.
"Until our next meeting, sit."
Watching the Vice Admiral head down the hall out of sight, the four chatter amongst themselves about the encounter as they headed back to their own ship.

Xoia made her way through the halls of the shipyards, her step quick as she moved with determination and focus towards her ship. She had to get the hangars and get moving before anyone caught her. She imagined there’d be hell enough to pay when she got back. The last thing she needed was anything holding her up. The trip from Coruscant had allowed her time to focus on the presence she felt in the battle. Somehow, she had locked down its location. She would see for herself and nothing would stop her.
She had reached the Valahia without issue and made her way through the ship towards the hangars. However, stepping out from the doorway to the hangar bay came Iayi, one of the pilots in her squadron.
"Captain, what brings you back the capital already?"
She refused to let herself stop as she address Iayi.
"Just felt like getting away. Decided to come in check in on my Silencer and see how she was doing."
She didn’t get far before Iayi stepped in front of her, her arms crossed.
"So you weren’t planning on sneaking out to sort out what you felt in the battle?" Xoia stopped and looked at her in surprise. "You really didn’t think we’d know? We are connected by the Force in combat. We feel what you feel. And being Force-sensitive means we can feel when something off with you." She gave a sigh before focusing her gaze. "Do you really think it’s her?"
Xoia’s head hung a bit.
"That’s what I need to find out."
"Then get going. The Phantom is already prepped. We made sure to give you a window to get out so no one could stop you. Just be quick and be careful."
Iayi then moved into the hall and out of sight. A silent thank you was all Xoia gave before quickly moving to her Phantom. Entering the cockpit, she powered up the systems and immediately activated the cloaking device. Before long she was clear of the hangar and away from the shipyards. Once the coordinates for her destination were inputted, the ship vanished into hyperspace.
