Luce nodded at the request to copy the list.
-Luce What kind of modification work are we talking about?
Luce didn't have the control needed to approve the kind of major modification this sounded like it would be, that would be up to the Colony Lords or even the Elder. If the modification was minor enough, he might be able to pull it off. Otherwise he would need to convince the Colony Lords that it was worth the effort. That mean he had to be convinced it was worth the effort as well. The main benefit of the current system was that it wasn't reliant on external fuel sources to keep functioning like the much more powerful hypermatter reactors. The only thing that needed to be changed out regularly was the coolant system. They could easily switch the coolant system to one that was even less reliant on outside source if need be, but that would come at the cost of reducing the ship's available power even more.

The languid shrug the Devaronian produced was every bit as menacing as a Trandoshan holding a blaster, and twice as reassuring. His teeth reappeared as he continued to speak in his honey-toned drawl, abently copying the information from the strangers datapad to his own with deft and precise movements.
"As far as I know the older systems run the raw gas fine with no need for any tampering. You may lose a bit on the efficiency of the coolant effect but that shouldn't be a problem to get you where you need to go."
With the data copied he nonchalantly lobbed the datapad across the three meter space between them before returning his own datapad to a hip pocket.
"My men can see to the arrangements of your parts while I will see to your coolant and the Clanners up at the base..."
He arched an artful eyebrow at the three warriors.
"As long as you are willing to help me with my... delicate matter?"

Luce found it was often the same from one world to another. There were no end to shady merchants, but you often had to prove yourself by doing something illegal before they would sell you anything. Perhaps a way of making sure they always had dirty on anyone that might know enough to try & turn them in to local authorities.
-Luce That would depend on the nature of the matter. I assume that it is something you don't want made public knowledge.

With the same indifferent shrug the horned being met the gaze of the one who seemed to be the leader, or at least the one who was doing all the talking.
"It can be public if that's easier. As long as its nothing that can be linked to my efforts."
Settling himself on a cargo crate he tilted his head slightly and continued.
"The Mando's here run a tight ship but that in itself lends any society to corruption. Rules are circumvented in the pursuit of profit, ambition, glory... Nowhere is exempt from this. Such is my quandary where it comes to the acquisition of certain rights..."
He paused for a moment before continuing.
"A corrupt official is taking bribes from a competitor of mine, or perhaps is being blackmailed, its irrelevant which. These bribes are preventing me from transpoting certain goods to certain places and is, in effect, costing me money. I have been looking for the right people to... influence this official into doing the right thing. Should you help me with this I will furnish you with the supplies you need."

Planning & pulling off operations was definitely not Luce's strong point. But that was one of the reasons Vengeance usually came along on these supply runs, both in case something went wrong & in case their seller needed convincing. There was a subtle shift in the group, one that an outsider would have difficulty spotting at first, perhaps it was a slight angling of their shoulders, or a shift in their centre of balance, but without actually moving, the one in the grey EOD armour suddenly became the centre of the trio's focus.
-Ven If he is taking bribes, blackmail would be the best option. If he is being blackmailed, the best option would be find out who has the evidence & take it from them. That would allow that group to either get his support for removing the blackmailer, or take over the show as a new blackmailer. If we can't figure out what the actual hold on him is, the best option would be to remove him from his position, one way or another. That should give you enough time to move whatever it is you need to move & sink your claws into his replacement. All hypothetically of course.

Again the winning smile of pointed teeth flashed out from the shadows.
"Its up to you how you get it done. Removing him would be preferable though I didn't want to come out and say as much for fear that you were squeamish about such things."
His tone left little doubt that such a thought had never once graced his devious mind. With a check of his chrono he rose from his relaxed position and reached into another pocket to produce a different datapad, this one a sleek military model.
"You can find what you need on here..." He gestured with the pad before stepping over and offering it to Ven. I will have the parts ready for you at noon tomorrow and likely the coolant an hour or so later. The officials name is Ramos and he will likely be in the Battered Helm after his office closed an hour from now."
Releasing the datapad he casually smoothed his clothes and gestured the trio back the way they came.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have other business to attend to..."

A few moments later the trio found themselves back out on the street. Finding a nice place to 'sit & relax' for a few minutes, the trio switches their comms to private mode. True it didn't have much range & only worked line of sight, but unless someone managed to get a high tech listening device floating in the air between them, it was effectively impossible to listen in. For a little extra security all three of the figures were speaking Rakatian, which all D'Ordinii knew, but was all but unheard of outside of Lehon.
-Luce So how do we want to play this?
-Arty If we help the Devaronian, we get what we want, but run the risk of building a bad reputation for our clan. If we help the politician, we will probably get a good rep, but likely won't be able to get our parts. Or we could wash our hands & hope one of the other teams has better luck.
-Ven Best option would be to find out if 'Ramos' is corrupt, or more accurately, how corrupt he is. We might be able to get brownie points for taking him out of the picture if he is rotten enough.
-Luce Right, so non-invasive local data-net search. Once it gets closer to time we will compare notes & decide whether we want to make contact or play this from a safe distance.
At two very slight nods in reply, the trio sets about poking around in the local information networks. None of them try anything as blunt as 'is Ramos corrupt' instead they focus on spreading out their queries across a wide range of local public figures, making similar checks for each. From an outsider's point of view, anyone tracking the data access carefully enough would be able to tell someone was taking a hard look at local figures, but not the reason or that Ramos was being checked out in particular. The searches would however most likely be lost in the background noise of local searches. It would also give the trio a good measure of how corrupt the local area was & how had official ties to who.

And there were plenty of said ties to investigate...
Talgar Ramos seemingly had his finger in ever pie available in this quadrant of the galaxy, such endeavors varying from interests in mining colonies to high-level weapons contracts. While there was no direct evidence of investment in any of these enterprises the amount of involvement his office had with their employment and development did hint at some kind of gain for him in each instance. It was not just recent activity either. The man had a long career of being in the right place at the right time. His previous position had been as a liaison to a branch of the Concordian military that was unnamed and of which there seemed to be no record of activities. It was only through cross referencing dates of events with instances of activity in Ramos' pervious office that they were able to piece together a picture of the mysterious situation. One would presume they knew black ops missions when they saw them and it became clear that several dirty little wars in which financial and material gain was evident were linked directly to the office of one Talgar Ramos. There was no paper trail, no other evidence other than convenient timing, but there was no mistaking the pattern.
One unit in particular had seen themselves nearly wiped out in the defense of an installation which bore no real tactical advantage, seemingly a depot for repulsorlift vehicles. Not long after a near massacre in which hundreds of enemies were slain as well as every Concordian bar one Sven Garret a unit of independant troops moved in with transportation vehicles to clear out the warehouse. A strange priority for a site of insignificant value it seemed.
Likewise more recent activities saw Ramos endorsing the lifting of the quarantine over Algara II, stating that such a barrier on trade be 'Detrimental to the economical health of Concordian interests'. Such a stance was widely criticised but Ramos seemed little bothered by the drop in popularity at a recent event, deflecting questions with a wait and see attitude.

Once the 'research' time was up the three compared their notes. None of them had the full picture, but a quick moment of comparing notes soon brought everything into focus. The only real question left was whether Ramos was hurting the local Vode or helping them. That of course could be seen by looking at the fall out of several of the incidents he was connected with. If he was being helpful, then the trio would just step away from the situation. If he wasn't. Well, that was a different story completely.

A few days after the meeting on Mandalore...
Hokaar had made it clear upon his departure that he would visit Kylarn at another time to speak and catch-up; the Mandalorian had not seen his fellow clansman since the days when Cassus Fett was Manda'lor. It had been nice to see a familiar face among those at the Oyu'baat, many of those present were new ones, but they were still Mandalorians nonetheless. His arrival to the planet of Concord Dawn came just a few days after Kylarn gave tasks to the various Mandalorians who showed up at the Oyu'baat. A simple transmission to the planet's security allowed him to be cleared for landing. Above the planet, the Fett's modified Crusader-class Corvette would continue its orbiting position over the planet as Hokaar arrived on one of his personal ships, an M22-T Krayt gunship. His ship came to land at the spaceport of Jai'galaar, one of the major cities of the agricultural world, touching down at a vacant pad.
Hokaar would set out into the sun in his usual armor, leaving his co-pilot, a gunner, to make sure their ship was refueled and watched over before he was permitted to take his own leave and enjoy some R&R on the planet. The Fett looks around for a moment, wondering where he was supposed to meet Kylarn. For now, he decided to keep to the spaceport, guessing that his kin had been told of his arrival and that they would meet up shortly.

**The VT-49 Dha Tor touched down in its assigned berth. The ships ramp lowered, and a small Mando'ad dressed in tactical black Beskar'gam quickly exited the vessel and proceeded into the spaceport. He pulled a datapad out from a side pocket and quickly checked his orders. He had on an assortment of weapons all firmly fastened in their place on his armor.
Achyan looked about perceptively as he walked. It had been several years since he was last here. The "Zero" call sign emblem was visible along with the spec ops insignia on this particular set of Beskar'gam. This set was in prestine condition, obviously not worn in battle before. He continued on towards the rendezvous with his new team leader.**

As The Sword and The Blade closed in on the spaceport, the ships transitioned their wings into their landing position. They then touched down on a landing pad large enough for the pair of craft to share. Damocles and Escalus then departed their vessels. As with Ordo, Damocles left his Jetpack aboard his ship, choosing to wear the backpack once more. With a nod to his brother, he lead the way into the Fetts base

Kaalin's bes'uliik decelerated quickly as it reached its designated landing area, it's landing gear extended out fully. Pressurized air exited the cockpit, as did Kaalin along with it. The young mandalorian hopped to the ground with haste, gripping his helmet tightly in his hand. He was excited to say the least, he was getting another step closer to what he wanted. Something his father would have been proud of. He continued his quickened pace, and made his way towards the Fett's HQ.

The fall fighter’s base folded against the main part of it, while the landing gear deployed, and the ship settled down on it’s assigned spot. He looked around the spaceport, which was bathed in grey as the sun rose. He jumped off and BT, who was currently in an ID-10 tactical droid, due to the fact that this space was too small for a Basilisk to be walking around in. He looked around, taking in everything, while waiting for someone to greet him. Though he was a Jedi, he was more Mandalorian at heart, and was willing to pitch in to help a fellow Mandalorian while his clan was rebuilding and restructuring.

Setting the Kom'rk-class fighter, the Onora, down at the assigned landing bay it had been given by Concord Dawn Security , Torin Bralor shuts the ship's engines down and lowers the boarding ramp after performing an abbreviated post-flight routine with his co-pilot, Molan Bralor.
Moments later, the two Mandalorians, both in green and black hued beskar'gam and armed at present only with sidearms, disembark from their ship and wait at the foot of the boarding ramp to be met by the Mandalorian Protectors they had been informed when given permission to land would be sent to bring them to the meeting they have requested with the Aliit'alor of Clan Fett.

Streaking through the skies of Concord Dawn, towards the spaceport, where he had received permission to land, the Fang fighter belonging to Brayark Vizsla, descended and finally touched down on the pad that had been assigned to him. Hitting the canopy release, the Mandalorian left most of his weapons on his ship, save for the two WESTAR-35 blasters holstered at his hips. Even going so far as to leave his vambraces in his ship, the fully armored Mandalorian ensured the canopy sealed again and set off towards the Mess Hall, where he had been told Galaar Fett would be waiting. As he strode through the spaceport, he noticed the odd looks he was being given. Disdain, disgust, fearful. The looks and glances in his direction pretty much covered the spectrum. Regardless, head held high, as a proud Mandalorian, he continued on, following the appropriate signage to locate Galaar in the Mess.

Making his way back from the Mess Hall was fairly straight forward. Retracing his steps, the Mandalorian reached his ship in no time. Opening the canopy, Brayark climbed inside and sealed it behind him. Powering up the ship, Brayark ensured everything was functioning as it should. Once satisfied, the craft lifted off of its designated pad and accelerated into the skies of Concord Dawn.

Ga'ab's orange and black Lambda Class Shuttle glided over the Mandalorian settlement of Jai'galaar. As the shuttle made a lazy circle over the spaceport to slow its descent Ga'ab retracted the shuttle's wings in preparation for landing at an assigned berth. With a steady hand Ga'ab gently set the shuttle down on its landing gear. "Another happy landing." He said wryly to his Ryn co-pilot, Rygal. The two left the shuttle's cockpit and entered the main cabin and were immediately greeted by the tell-tale smell of Gamorrean."What's our plan?" snorted a large Gamorrean boar named Gorrok. He was polishing his war axe, his large bulk taking up two human-sized seats. Fortunately for Ga'ab and Rygal, they had long since grown used to Gamorreans having fought an entire war-season with Clan Jugsmuk of Gamorr. Rygal passed without saying a word, headed for his locker and the weapon and armor inside. "Stick close to us, and don't get into trouble. The Mandalorians have strict laws, this isn't like the outer rim." Ga'ab replied loudly enough so that the other Gamorreans could hear. It was his warning to them and he hoped that he could rely on them keeping the peace."I've heard they are great warriors with magical metal. My M'uhk'gfa would be famous if I took from a dead one their armor." Gorrok grunted dreamily."See? This is exactly what i'm talking about. I'll leave you on the ship if you can't control yourselves." "It's been too long since we've had an honorable fight."Ga'ab had to agree with Gorrok on that point. Recent events had had them on the run more often than not, but with Rygal and the Ryn survivors back on the board, Ga'ab was confident that now was the time to dig in. "You're right. We're here to buy weapons for our next move. If you or the boars see something you like I'll consider buying it for you, and trust that our next mission will earn us glory and honor." Having pacified the Gamorreans, Ga'ab joined Rygal by his locker. The Ryn was already suited up in his Reinforced Fiber Armor and checking the tibanna gas cannisters for his EE-3 Blaster carbine. Rygal gave him an appraising look, "Are the Gamorreans going to be a problem?"Ga'ab had opened his own locker and had removed his orange and blue jacket made out of blast-dampening material. He pulled it on and then strapped on his gunbelt that held his .48 Caliber Enforcer Pistol. "They're just itching for a fight ... They're not the only ones." Said Ga'ab in obvious reference to his friend. Rygal however didn't offer a reply, he simply walked off and lowered the boarding ramp. Ga'ab followed a moment later with the seven Gamorrean guards in tow. They joined Rygal in the afternoon sun where he was already negotiating payment with the docking authority.

Ga’ab SolomonThe Mandalorians didn't take long to arrive at the Spaceport as a skiff came down onto the landing pad, carrying a couple squads of Mandalorian Protectors. They had been effectively revived with the return of unity to the clans, the establishment of the Assembly, and under the leadership of the Mandalores and Galaar Fett. With them was the Aliit'ator himself, an older Fett with scars from his days as a galactic hunter. Helmet tucked under his armpit, Galaar makes his way over to the visitors who had been an inquiry for a meeting with a beskar smith. Galaar was the best they had right now since others were still being trained.
The Protectors took up various positions around the meeting, blasters in hand, but at ease. Their helmets looked left and right from time to time, but they mostly had their T-visors trained on the lumbering Gamorreans. They could be trouble if the brutes did what they were known for after all.
Galaar proceeds up to Ga'ab and his company with two Protectors flanking him.You must be the ones who were looking for a smith. I am Galaar Fett, Aliit'ator of Clan Fett and ruler of Concord Dawn for the Mandalorian Assembly. A little low on smiths right now, but I was trained by one of the best from the days of the Mandalorian Empire. So guess you will have to talk to me about what you need.Galaar glances at the Gamorreans.Never made armor for beings of that size though. Unless you were looking to merely dress yourselves. The Mandalorian turns his gaze back to Ga'ab and Rygal. So, what do you need exactly, Mister....

The Retribution descended down from orbit, following the known safe path to make its approach to the Jai'galaar Spaceport. Damocles kept the controls steady, briefly thinking back to the last time he had visited Concord Dawn. Back then, he had been campaigning to get the Fett's support to be made Mand'alor. This time, however, he was on no such mission. He was simply here to visit a friend after they had crossed paths upon Lianna.
The ship transitioned into is landing configuration, before Damocles landed The Retribution carefully upon one of the landing pads. The rest of his men remained in ship as Damocles made his way down the landing ramp. But he did not stop there, making his way through the spaceport and into Jai'galaar proper. His direction taking him to The Battered Helm Tavern
