A hyperspace tunnel opens as the Polemos exits over the planet of Kuat. It had been some time since Nicademus gazed upon the planet with his own eyes. Not since the days he joined the Galactic Empire and, eventually, assumed the mantle of Emperor. He had long since abandoned this world for the more profitable Imperial Sector that brought nothing but greater victories and achievements than trying to manage a dying empire. Yet there was a reason why he came here, of which was being softly spoken to himself as the Supreme Commander sat within the command chair.
The titan slumbers, battered and bruised, awaiting for a master to claim its power to shake the galaxy...
He remembered accessing the old files taken from the data archives of the Estates of Ten long after the Operation: Exodus which brought the remnants of the Empire to the Outer Rim. Long he delved into them after a prophecy was foretold to him by a dark spirit on the planet of Ilum. He knew what he was looking for, but where could it be. His eyes scanned the shipyard ring around Kuat before turning to the moons of Bador and Ronay. Those who left the titan would simply not have left it in the open nor the most obvious of places.
He turns to the sensory officer on station, making a quick order.
Ensign, scan the moons of Bador and Ronay. Do a thorough scan of their surfaces.
The officer nods and begins his thorough scan of the two moons. This would take time, thought Nicademus, he couldn't openly speak what he sought after, but hopefully it would be somewhere on those moons. Otherwise, it was within the structure of the shipyards or down upon the planet. As the scan initiated, Nicademus gazes upon Kuat, his mind deep in thought.

Standing on the bridge, the High Admiral observed the transition from hyperspace to real space. It went off without a hitch. As the ship shifted into high orbit over the planet, Viox heard the Supreme Commander muttering to himself. From where he was standing, he couldn't hear him, but he did managed to read his lips. Something about a 'Titan'. This puzzled him. But as he thought about it, searing pain shot through his head. Clenching his jaw, he rubbed his temples, willing it to go away.
Things are not as they appear...deception is rife. He aims to decieve you. Remain on your guard...
The whispers of Skaar, an ancient elder from Clan Savage, echoed within his mind. Just as quickly as the whispers had begun, they fell silent once more. Savage straightened up and focused on aiding in the command of the ship.
"Sensors. Enhanced spectroscopic analysis of Bador and Ronay. Consecutive sweeps. Engines, come about heading four-eight-seven by two-nine-five. Move to station keeping."
As his orders were carried out, he continued to listen to the chatter of the bridge crew, while wondering exactly what Nicademus was searching for...

Nicademus waited ever patiently for any reports, any signs of what could belong to something gargantuan in size. After a full hour, the first report came in from Bador, with signs of nothing out of the usual. The known weapons and drive testing facilities were running as normal. Not a half hour later, the report from Ronay reported the same thing, usual activity. The Supreme Commander sighs deeply, tapping his forehead lightly with his gloved hand. Trying his best not to stress over this, the Imperial pulled up some files upon his command chair, examining them quietly. The word, Aximand, started to appear. A quick search through the files found a hint within the wording.
The Supreme Commander points to Kuat, making the helmsman nod as the ship veers off, taking them closer towards the planet. As his eyes looked at the bottom curve of Kuat, there was nothing but darkness. It had to be somewhere there, that was the last location logged by Captain Aximand of the Black Caisson.
Ensign, scan the southern pole of Kuat. Thorough sweep, check for debris in orbit in a radius of twenty million kilometers from that pole.
It had to be here, thought the Imperial, it had to be here! It couldn't be anywhere else!

Atlantia strolled across the bridge, looking out the viewport. Kuat was quite the choice for world to go to. It had strong Imperial ties. So it made sense this would be their destination. But the fact that Nicademus had been very secretive about coming here made her wonder what was here. As he initiated scans of the moons and then the south pole, it became apparent that the Supreme Commander was searching for something out in the void. She turned to look at him, briefly considering the idea of asking him what he was looking for. But thought better of it. He looked determined to find what ever it was, and the sooner he found it, the sooner they would all know what it was

Vlad merely leaned against the frame of the bulkhead leading off of the bridge, observing. Nicademus was intent on finding something, and Viox was slightly troubled. Atlantia walked in like she owned the place. Which wasn't surprising. Most of his fellow brethren seemed to waltz around like they owned the joint. For a group devoted to order, it was sort of odd. Superiority was the fastest way to earn their own downfall. And if the Knights weren't careful, they'd be doomed as the Jedi and Sith were. The lure of the dark side was always a risk. Everyone who used it was at risk. And not just the dark side, but the Force in general. Vlad continued these musings silently to himself as he observed.

As the Ensign was doing a thorough sweep of the southern pole, something pinged on the scanners.
Supreme Commander, I am detecting patches of debris within the radius. There is a large object being detected, the magnetic pole is making it hard to determine, but it appears to be over ten thousand meters in size. Its being covered by the dark side of the planet, but I am reading that it should be in view within a matter of seconds, Sir.
Nicademus looks up from the files he was reading as the report was made. He points to the Helmsman.
Take us in, Helmsman!
The cruiser moved closer to the intended coordinates. As they approached, pockets of debris could be seen. And it was all sorts of metal; broken hulls of warships carrying the markings of the Mandalorian Empire and the Dark Tide. The records recalled that the southern pole of Kuat had seen fierce fighting during the latest Mandalorian Crusade. Though the Dark Tide had managed to blunt them, it was at a heavy cost. Yet without what they had in their arsenal, it would have certainly been a defeat.
The sun, upon which Kuat orbited, began to shift more debris into view as the planet turned. Slowly the top of a large craft came into view, directly ahead of the approaching cruiser. Slowly more and more came into view. The vessel had damage upon its hull, but otherwise seemed entirely held together. The proximity to the southern pole had ensured that it kept within Kuat's orbit without falling towards the surface. 2,500 meters were shown, followed by 5,000 and then 10,000. Soon, within full view of everyone gathered, a gargantuan warship of 15,000 meters was planted before them. And it was no ordinary warship, all knew of these vessels from the time of Palpatine and others before. It was a Sovereign-class Super Star Destroyer, designated 'Shadow Reaper' upon its hull.
Nicademus slowly rises from his seat, pleased that the records of Gideon Raith, Aximand and the former Galactic Empire and Dark Tide had not failed him. The vision had been true of the slumbering titan, whose power could shake the very galaxy. And here it was, ready to be claimed by the First Order. The Supreme Commander glances over at the High Admiral, gesturing at the Super Star Destroyer.
This, High Admiral, is why we came to Kuat. Ensign, begin scan of the ships hull, determine if we can safely land.

The High Admiral stared in awe, taking it all in. A Sovereign-Class Super Star Destroyer. Let behind from the last Mandalorian Crusade. Odd that something of this nature would just be abandoned, however, those had been tumultuous times. Shifting power structures, dead economies and the rise and fall of several influential individuals. He could hardly believe his eyes, yet there is was. The titanic warship, while damaged, was intact. Adrift and without power, but intact. A floating fortress in its own right. Regaining his composure, Viox closed his mouth and issued orders. His mind was racing now. Planning, scheming. For now that's all it would be. Savage turned to the sensor suite.
"Lieutenant, report!"
Despite the fact that most of the crew were completely awestruck, the Lieutenant reported in.
"Sir! Over three dozen reports of hull damage. All primary and secondary systems off line. There's enough power in the system to maintain a minimum magcon field, so the ship should hold an atmosphere still. The main hangar is still fit to hold a ship."
Savage nodded in acknowledgement. He turned to Nicademus.
"Reports are in. What are your orders?"
Savage eagerly awaited for the Supreme Commander's response. He knew they'd end up going aboard sooner or later. And he desperately wanted to see this beast up close for himself.

Nicademus turns to a stormtrooper that was on the bridge.
Deploy First Company to form a bridgehead and ensure the hangar has minimal life support and gravity. Second Company will move to secure the engine rooms. Third Company will secure the weapon systems. Fourth Company will secure the shield generators. Then First Company will join the main party to gain control of the bridge once systems are online.
The Stormtrooper snaps to attention before departing the bridge. Nicademus returns his gaze to the Shadow Reaper, remembering the last logs recorded by Captain Aximand, Gideon Raith and Vice-Admiral Melusar. From what he recalled, the Sovereign-class still had its axial superlaser intact and operational prior and after the Mandalorian Crusade hit Kuat. They would need to drag this ship out of the system once the systems were online. Additional ships were on standby on Muunilist once the ship was given the greenlight to fill the ship with a minimal crew to maneuver her out of the Kuat system and back to First Order territory. It would be quite a venture to get her into working order again, but it would be worth it in the end.
Nicademus keys his command chair, sending a few transmissions through necessary channels; a secure encryption to Muunilist, Yaga Minor and Clak'dor VII. After those were performed, the Imperial returns his gaze to the Super Star Destroyer, drifting through space. A few of the troop transport shuttles carrying First Company had already deployed to the vessel.
Surprised its still here after all this time. Not a single person has forth to claim it since the dissolution of the Empire by my orders.

It did not take long for Atlantia's question to be answered. As the Polemos moved to within visual range of the Shadow Reaper, it all became clear. Nicademus had brought them all out here for this. A new weapon to use against the Alliance and the Jedi. Albeit a relic of years past, it was a capable weapon. Harnan had once told her of all the old vessels that the Empire had constructed. One of the strongest amongst them, was the Sovereign-class Super Star Destroyer. Wielding an axial superlaser, it could destroy entire fleets and devastate the surface of a planet. You could destroy a world, without having to actually destroy it. Atlantia made her back back from the viewport, to where Nicademus sat. So, he still had some of his own secrets it appeared I suppose no one else has had the right to claim it. It seems that the Force does favour you, Supreme Commander...

*The wider galaxy... Sobrius had not been beyond the outer rim in ages. After all the time building up his private forces upon Clak'dor VII, and that one brief escapade to Korriban, he had almost forgotten what the rest of the galaxy was like. But he was all too familiar with Kuat, its history, its allegiances across the millennia. Most recently, allied with the forces of the dark side; now, however? He could not be sure. Perhaps that was why the Supreme Commander had requested his presence here, to ensure its loyalty... or perhaps not, for that was quite the task to be given to a Sith he knew little about?
But then, depending on what Soku Ren had said to the Supreme Commander, perhaps the Ren's faith in Sobrius was enough to convince the Supreme Commander he could be trusted.
The Imperial cargo ship pulled itself out of hyperspace. Sobrius stood on the bridge, arms folded behind his back as he looked out over the world and its two moons, and the shipyards orbiting the world. A majestic site... Clak'dor VII was a pitiful-looking world, to be sure, but even more so in comparison. Sobrius asked for a report from the Bith-manned control team, who reported only one active vessel in the area: A Vindicator-class heavy cruiser, of First Order origin, making its way for the southern pole of Kuat.*
"Take us in closer," *Sobrius commanded calmly.* "Hail them when we are in range."
*The ship drifted in towards the south pole, and the ship came into view. So, this was it then, actual contact... and then, as promised, the explanation for their coming here. Sobrius noted quite a bit of debris however; a battle whose scars still lingered. What was this, a scavenging mission? If so, what could be so important that they would come here?
And then it became obvious. Now Sobrius understood why he was asked to bring along Clak'dor's brightest...
The comm team summoned him, stating that they were initiating contact. Sobrius strolled towards the console, arms still folded.* "This is Lord Sobrius of Clak'dor VII, answering your summons. What would you have us do?"

Upon the bridge of the Polemos...
Supreme Commander! We report that the bridgehead within the hangars is secure. First Company is reporting that gravity is stable and oxygen levels are rising to comfortable levels. Second, Third and Fourth Companies are reporting work in progress. They will keep you up to date.
Nicademus was pleased and planned to join First Company in the hangar, but a communications officer spoke.
Sir, we are getting a transmission from Lord Sobrius of Clak'dor VII. He is asking where he is to be placed, response?
Tell him to meet me in the hangar bay of the Super Star Destroyer. Give him coordinates.
With the orders given, Nicademus and his entourage would depart the Polemos on a shuttle and disembark on the Super Star Destroyer. Immediately, the Imperial noticed the work needed just to clean up the place. There were still starfighters within its storage areas, but materials were littered all over the place. With some dead bodies, Mandalorian and Imperial. It seemed some bold teams tried to board the vessel during combat, but didn't get past the hangar itself. Once aboard, the Supreme Commander awaited the arrival of their guest from Clak'dor VII.

Lambri had hung back, observing like a good Junior Officer should (well -- she was by no means a Junior officer, but amongst these heavy-hitters, she sure felt like it...) but when the Shadow Reaper appeared, like a ghost in the abyss, Evi couldn't help but walk to the viewport on the bridge closest to the great ship. She reached out, placing a hand on the cold transparent viewport. Now that was a ship...

*Of course. It was a salvage mission indeed. Sobrius smirked, replying only with,* "Very well," *and assured that the bridge crew followed the instruction. Sobrius's eyes then turned to the hulking vessel that awaited them. A Sovereign-class... There was a lot of history pertaining to that vessel, the original of its kind commissioned at these very shipyards. Commissioned by Darth Sidious himself.
Fate had a cruel sense of humor, to make this vessel the object of Sobrius's first contact with the First Order.
The cargo ship stopped just outside of the debris field; by this time, the Sith had led the crew of Bothan engineers to a shuttle in the hangar, which detached from the larger ship and made its way to the coordinates given. The pilot carefully navigated the wreckage, making his way towards the shadow of the vessel. The shuttle found the indicated docking bay, which, judging by those already present within the hangar, possessed an operational gravity field and oxygen supply. Incredibly surprising.
The shuttle set down and Sobrius led his Bith entourage into the derelict hangar. The first thing he noticed was the stench of death; corpses leftover from some battle, though graciously sealed within battle armor. It provided at least a small level of amusement, comparing the stormtrooper armor of the corpses to those the First Order currently employed within this very hangar.
The Supreme Commander was easily spotted. The somewhat-diminutive Sith strode toward the man, stopping to give a short bow.* "A pleasure to meet you in person, aboard this great vessel. My Bith and I are at your service."

Nicademus turns to Lord Sobrius. Sith always had this tell-tale appearance; cloaked and mysterious. His mentor said it would be a cliche otherwise, but for Sith, it was a sign of being a badass. Probably why the Imperial wore a dark cape with his uniform, that or to put him apart from the rest of his officers. He waves for Sobrius to rise, taking note of the Bith engineers.
Send a team to check on the engines and get them running. I want hyperspace capability soon. Send another team to make sure we also have good enough power to have a sizable shields covering the ship. The rest will be needed to seal off areas of the ship deemed unsafe and fixing other necessities.
As he finished giving the orders to Lord Sobrius, the commander for First Company approached him, telling the superior of greenlight across the board. The Imperial knew it was time to move onto the bridge to secure the brains of this gargantuan vessel. He motions for his entourage to follow him.
Time to get this ship moving!
Half of First Company goes on ahead to map a safe route to the bridge while the remainder stays in the hangar bay to help clean up the place. Along the wall, the commander reports that the scheduled reinforcements would be present in the Kuat system within the hour, bringing much needed manpower to serve as a necessary crew to at least get the ship moving out of neutral space and back to the First Order's territory.

Lambri can't help but touch, running her fingertips across surfaces, down bulkheads, along walls, as they make their way to the bridge. Lambri had read much about this vessel, but never imagined in her wildest dreams she'd ever see anything like it. She kept quiet, preferring to wait until spoken to, but could barely contain her excitement.

The doors to the bridge hissed opened, revealing a rather empty deck. The crew had managed to escape, most likely abandoning the craft here sometime after the failed crusade against the Dark Tide. Nicademus was somewhat surprised that they would leave such a powerful vessel in orbit over Kuat. First Company moves to secure the bridge as a sizable crew is brought in from what came with the warships from Yaga Minor. Systems were slowly powered on as the crew tested the hardware and software of the Imperial vessel.
The Supreme Commander turned, looking at the vacant command chair. He proceeds over, taking a seat upon it. Calmly, he keys up the available logs, noting that he would have to shift through these at some point. As the ship was powered up and processes were performed, an officer approaches Nicademus.
Sir, with the acquisition of this ship, we will need to give it a new name. Especially once all the programming is re-wired to suit First Order standards.
He looks up, passing the officer standing before him to gaze outside the viewport of the vessel. Nicademus remains silent for a long time, pondering deeply it appeared, about a name. As he gazed out into the open space over Kuat, his eyes lingering upon the planet's surface, his gaze glanced over at the Kuati star that had revealed unto them the vessel that remained hidden here. Like an unconquerable sun, the First Order would use this ship to bright light to the galaxy and awaken it from its lawlessness.
Sol Invictus...
Sir?
Sol Invictus, the Unconquered Sun... that is her name now.
The officer salutes the Supreme Commander and proceeds to register the Super Star Destroyer under that name.

*Sobrius nodded at the instruction before turning and speaking with the two most senior Bith present, relaying the instruction and having them divide their teams accordingly. They understood and immediately divided up two sufficient teams, who then went about their way to perform the tasks given to them. A few leftover remained with Sobrius and subsequently accompanied the Sith as he followed the Supreme Commander towards the bridge. It could have been seen as a self-invite... but if this Supreme Commander knew his Sith, he should expect such.
When they arrived on the bridge, he ordered the leftover Bith to assist in any way they could before he too surveyed the area. It felt... historical. It seemed as though the crew had managed to abandon the craft, leaving it to whatever fate awaited it. And here it had laid in wait for a new owner... Sobrius was surprised it had not yet been scavenged. Was there some superstitious fear of this space theater?
His dark eyes found the Supreme Commander, now seated in the command chair. Many years ago, it was a position Sobrius himself would have sat in... But times were different, now. It was admittedly uncomfortable, the fact that he was now technically the subservient one; but Sobrius's true master was Bogan, and to serve Bogan properly, he knew he belonged in his position. He was capable of swallowing his pride... and he was certain that, were it he seated in that chair, it would only bring terrible memories of the past. Memories he could crush, to be sure, and reassert himself... but it was presently not worth the effort.
The Sith did have to admit an appreciation for how swiftly and confidently the mortal leader had renamed the vessel... and with a fitting name, as well.* "Impressive," *he murmured audibly. His voice then rose to a normal volume.* "I sense that you carry a great burden, and yet you wield it with such skill. It seems the Ren's faith in you is well-earned."

Atlantia had followed with the party as they had transferred from the Polemos over to the Super Star Destroyer. She watched and observed the reaction that the Grand Captain had to being on a ship of such immense size and renown. She watched as they arrived to the Bridge and Nicademus took his seat, dubbing it with a new name fitting its use. The Alliance had not had much of a chance to defeat them before. But with this ship in the First Order's possession, the Alliance would be out gunned. Especially if the Axial Superlaser was still functional. In which case they could cut through the enemies fleets and glass their worlds until their opposition was broken. Soon the Alliance and their chaotic activities would be brought to a heel

Standing on the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer with the Supreme Commander, the High Admiral was busily combing through the ship's astrogation charts, ensuring all navigation data was intact and all maps were up to date enough to get the ship back into Imperial held territory. As he went over several star charts, he heard Nicademus give the ship a new name. Very suiting. At least that was one thing he seemed to be good at. Though since the discovery, Viox had been seriously contemplating if he actually wanted to break away from the First Order now. A violent split would bring the wrath of this newly acquired Super Star Destroyer down on him. An amicable split would give him the benefit of having the Sol Invictus backing him up. With uncovering of this ship, adding it to the First Order's navy, his entire scheme had vanished. Which was why he was keeping himself busy with star charts and hyperspace routes. He couldn't let his anger and frustration out at the moment. It would reveal his true power, and he didn't need that. Not yet, at least. Though no one here would be capable of standing against him. Two Knights of Ren, a decrepit looking Sith and several officers, Imperial Knights and Stormtroopers. No. They wouldn't be able to stand against him for long, if he were to allow the spirits in his mind to fully take over. No, he couldn't risk it. Not yet. He continued to keep himself occupied with the navicomputer. It kept his mind occupied. And for now, that was all he needed.

As the crew members began to settle in and files were documented, Nicademus would get a message from one of the Bith engineers, indicating that the engines were prepared to warm up. It seemed they had taken a beating and would need some repairs, but they could still give enough juice to fire this ship out of orbit and through hyperspace to the intended destination of Yaga Minor. Another crew member reports that shields were coming back online with minimal power and weapon systems were as online, albeit at least only half of them worked. It would take almost a few months or more to fully repair the gargantuan warship for frontline services. Hours upon hours of work to make the ship fully operational and ready for combat.
Yet, through it all, the Sol Invictus would become the pride of the First Order's navy. The very manifestation of their awe-inspiring power and a weapon to be unleashed upon the galaxy. Resistance, rebellion, dissidents... this ship would burn the ideas away from the very fabric of this galaxy. Nicademus would surely unleash it upon the Rebel Alliance when the time was right and their resistance would come to an end swiftly. He glances over at Sobrius.
My Lord Sobrius, it is a burden when one seeks to bring a new order to the galaxy. Yet it is a burden worth fighting for. The reclamation of this warship, this vessel of unrivaled firepower, is surely a sign that my vision, my dream, will be accomplished.
He then orders for the engines to be fired up so that they could get this ship underway. The remaining four ships, the Imp II, the twin Vic IIs and the Vindicator, all broke from the vicinity of the warship as it began to lumber out of Kuat's orbit. Nicademus could feel the slight vibration within the vessel as it tore itself away from its long rest placing to rejoin the stars.
Once we arrive at Yaga Minor, Lord Sobrius, I believe I can extend a pleasant gesture to Clak'dor VII for her support. Perhaps some warships to ensure that it is defended and has some muscle within the Outer Rim. These warships will escort a number of transports carrying military-grade weaponry, materials and other necessities to ensure the planet's security. Do you feel that is a adequate fulfillment of my promise to Clak'dor VII?
