Dav, and Dev, up to us to start getting the tire rolling again.
As far as Yavin is concerned, what can I (as one of the leading Council members NOT ON YAVIN and as the Chancellor of the Republic) do to move on Yavin?
And what can we do as an organization

I'm still trying to figure out exactly where Alexis is! I think Dav and I agreed that she wasn't currently on Yavin but would be flying in with...whoever?! >.<

I can help, though, at the moment, the only Jedi I have on Ossus are myself and my new Padawan, Casten Lorsa. The rest are MIA (Typhor Zero, Talon Frost, Jaecyn Riddick [gray Jedi])...
Should we first determine what is needed or should we just go in with guns blazing? lol

Andi. After I've waited for weeks I am informed that the Jedi I'm coming in with is Joshua...someone I've never heard of...written by a guy I see almost every day in chat. >.<

Lol. Corr maybe Andi's most visible character, but Josh is his oldest current character, and, I'd argue, his best.

As for the Mando war, the best thing to do is help us extend it beyond Yavin. Yavin itself is ticking along ok, and we'll not need much interaction with the outside Galaxy for a little while, beyond a few specific missions that I'll talk about as and when they come up, but the Mando war was always meant to be bigger than that and I would like to see that come to life.
What we really need to start with, I think, are a few further Mando victories, to really establish the threat and put the fight to not just Jedi, but all Force Users - I've already mentioned this to Devlin, the Ysanna on Ossus is a particularly good example of a non-Jedi target the Mandos will probably want to hit.

While I'm all for fighting the Mandos on Ossus--since it makes sense that they'd attack the Ysanna--currently, it wouldn't be much of a battle (see above). Unless the Mandos wanted to send a small raiding party or something... I just don't know where everyone went all of a sudden.

So... Devlin, you are on Ossus? And there is a shortage of Jedi writers there? I have never really placed Annikki anywhere, and I could maybe put her there and help you out some. *shrugs* Just an idea.

And I can create some NPCs to die grizzly grizzly deaths on Ossus. More than happy to help write that.

I'm happy to facilitate ends to several Jedi/Mando actions in light of furthering the story. I think that, while Mando victories are necessary to build up the threat as Dav put it, there's plenty of room for individual Jedi heroics in these plots. I can write most of any fleet battles as narrations so we can concentrate on character-based RPs. It will be a great opportunity for character developments. Any of the planets in question are free to set stipulations as to the end result of any RP in their systems so we can work towards a common goal so as to avoid any disharmony.
Also, will these actions be subject to the same semi-closed RP rule that Yavin is under?

I say the more the merrier. It's always been my motto...though it tends to make things messy when engaging in fleet battles and what not. As for semi-closed: I wonder if that would make it easier to facilitate? Really, just a bookend of how it begins and how it ends and who's involved is all that's necessary, imho...but that might be what semi-closed does (not 100% sure). I'm cool with Mandos fighting on Ossus--maybe even taking Ossus--as long as the Jedi get it back at the end. At least that'll force Devlin out of his hole for a while...or he could just hide on Ossus and preform guerrilla warfare...though I should probably ask if anyone is opposed to losing Ossus before I put it on the table. Oh well. I don't mind writing fleet battles and ground battles, until they get too messy (read: argumentative). If we just get to a point where it's a stalemate of sorts, then someone finishes the narrative to the predetermined conclusion, that's fine. Really, I think I just get bored with them after a while...or tired of arguing and skip ahead to more "personal battles" (duels); where we can argue differently . I just don't have a lot of ships at my disposal, beyond my personal fleet and the space stations. Same goes for the troops. So...yeah, I guess that covers everything, for the moment. I think. Maybe. Meh. If I forgot something let me know. Corellian Ale. How could I almost forget that?

In that case, Devlin, Annikki Perala will be arriving on Ossus shortly. Consider yourself warned. Er...

Also, to touch on what Dav said about Joshua, he's my oldest (Not counting Andru's ghost) and most rounded characters basically because I've written him from the age of 7 (IC) or so up until present day. (He's now 22) That character has a special meaning for me as it was actually started by my RL son Joshua and was my main characters son. Its been awesome developing him and I fondly remember RL Joshua sitting on my lap telling me what he wanted his character to do. A lot of Joshua's awesomeness can be attributed to the awesomeness of RL Joshua who, even at the age of 7, gave Zuli a damn good go in a sparring match. Nice little side-note to my JvS career there. You're welcome.

Semi-closed RP, Dev, basically means that where as the wider war is more open and free for anyone to join, for the purposes of storyline and facilitating RP, we can set our own agreements on extending or altering certain things like, say, fleet regs and the like, for individual battles, scenarios, or locations. In practice, to use Yavin IV as an example, we have agreed that the Mandalorians have larger fleets available to the few Mando writers than the fleet regs would normally allow, for the purposes of making the blockade storyline feasible and practical. Said fleets are only valid for use over Yavin, and only for this blockade RP - unless we agree to extend them to another location. Such agreements can be made on Ossus as needed, too.
Proposition: Mandos drive the Republic and Jedi off of Ossus, and enslave the Ysanna population, kill a load of them in some grizzly way - perhaps through over-work and enforced labour and stuff. Then we take the planet back in the later parts of the War, as part of the Republic push back following breaking the Yavin blockade.

I like the sound of that. Opens possibilities of Jedi infiltrating and inciting the Ysanna in rebellion. The old "Freedom-fighter" card hasn't been played on JvS for a while it seems.
I can commit to hitting Osarian and one other world in a narration-based fleet action too. Any more than that I'd be overextending myself. I can't speak for the other Mando writers though. I'd also be happy to write Jedi NPCs but wuld prefer to do so if I was only marginally involved on the Mando side of things. For example; I'm happy to write Mando narrations and write Jedi characters reacting to said narrations. I don't want to write both Mando and Jedi characters in the same RP setting. I'll be doing that on Yavin (and have done it before) but believe me when I say it can be very disconcerting.

Corellia can also be a good target. Key to both the Jedi and the Republic.
And what of the Darkside to this War, Corr? Are the Sithies taking hits on this. I think it would be interesting dynamic if we have to pair up with the Sith to accomplish victory against the Mandalorians somehow/somewhere.

That's coming in time. I am working on the Sith but, from a military stand point, it'd be foolish to fight a force war on two fronts. The Sith will be manipulated, get resentful, and end up siding with you... or something.
