*Terra almost seemed a little resigned when she said that they could still go to the lake if Morgan really wanted to, though she laughed afterward and shrugged, saying she couldn't think of anything else to do herself. Morgan grinned, figuring that they might as well, and at the very least she could maybe swap stories with Terra, or tell her more about her adventures in the jungle here.* Alright then, let's go! *She nudged Rush onward, who picked up the pace a small amount but not too much faster. It didn't take them along before they emerged from the brush and found themselves on the shore of the small, secluded lake, surrounded by the bank, various wildflowers, and a faerie ring or two. Morgan smiled as she slid off Rush's back, then turned to face Terra.* We're here now. ... watch this! *Suddenly beaming, she turned to face Rush, pointing at the water and giving him a mental command along with a verbal one.* Go play in the water, boy! *He did as told, darting forward into the water, splashing violently. Lokay, still situated on the akk's back, flailed and flew away, glided in a circle high above, then swooped down and landed on Morgan's shoulder, shaking off what little moisture he had accumulated. Another splash from Rush, however, had the little tailring squawking and jumping to the ground, taking cover behind Morgan. Morgan giggled loudly in amusement. She did her best to recover before speaking.* Rush— Rush loves the water! But Lokay doesn't like it unless it's a shower. Right Lokay? *She turned at the waist to look down at the tailring. He looked up at her for a moment, then turned away, spreading his wings and shaking them dry. Morgan giggled again and looked up at Terra.* He's upset.

Terra followed Morgan to the lake and stopped to look around for a moment. The scenery was nice, and she could see why Morgan liked it here. It was a beautiful spot. She couldn't help but laugh at the antics of both Rush and Lokay as the akk splashed around in the water, much to the shock of the tailring. Well that had been unexpected...
She giggled some more. "I can see that. Poor guy." She stopped giggling after a moment and sighed softly, looking around the lake again. "It's beautiful here..."

*Morgan giggled again and looked back down at Lokay, who simply curled up. Morgan looked up just as Terra expressed that it was beautiful here, and Morgan smiled as she looked around.* Yeah. There's a prettier one that even has a waterfall! But it's pretty far away... I wish we could see that one, but we wouldn't get there before dark, and we probably shouldn't stay gone too long; I didn't tell my daddy I was gonna be gone a long time. *Morgan shrugged and looked at the lake. Rush seemed to quickly have his fill and return to shore, curling up to dry off. Morgan giggled, then looked up at Terra curiously.* Do you care if I swim? I know you said you can't, and I don't want to feel bad if I'm swimming and you can't...

Terra smiled, wondering if one of these days they could get a ride or something over there to see it. She made a mental note to ask sometime, maybe after a few days or something. She shrugged when Morgan asked about swimming and she shook her head and smiled. Even if Terra couldn't swim, she still might be able to get her feet wet if she only went in a little ways. "That's fine. Go ahead. I might wade in a little later." She shrugged. "I'll be OK as long I don't go in deep."

*Morgan grinned when Terra said she didn't mind if Morgan went in, and that she might wade in later and would be fine as long as she didn't go too deep. If Morgan thought she would be a good teacher, she would have just offered to teach Terra to swim, but it would probably have been better if someone else taught her, someone who knew what they were talking about.* Okay! We can still play, because I'm little, so I can still swim in places you're still standing! *Morgan giggled and removed her backpack to set on the ground beside Lokay. Then, without hesitation, she shed all her clothes and ran out laughing into the lake. Then when she was deep enough, she submerged herself completely then broke the surface, throwing her head back and grinning. Ah, this felt good. She then laid back, floating on the surface of the water. This was relaxing; she needed this. She almost got to earlier, before she met Mark, but at least she was here now.*

Terra furrowed her brow a little when Morgan took everything off, and was about to say something, but the child was so happy that she decided not to speak up about it. There was no one else around but them around anyway and she figured there was no point in bringing it up. After a few minutes, she pulled off her boots and socks, then rolled her pant legs up past her knees. She debated removing her pants entirely, but even if it was just Morgan, she didn't feel comfortable with removing any of her clothes. She waded into the lake and looked out to where Morgan was floating, smiling at how happy she looked.
She sighed softly. "I hope I don't get splashed..." She was mostly talking to herself and wasn't sure if Morgan had heard her.

*Morgan continued to simply float across the surface of the water for a little while, until she heard someone else entering the water. She looked to confirm it was Terra, then smiled and submerged her body, paddling toward her as she waded into the water. Morgan heard her hope that she didn't get splashed; Morgan's feet touched bottom and she waded toward Terra, looking up at her with head tilted to the side.* Why did you get in the water if you didn't want to get splashed? *There were two things Morgan didn't realize: The first, she wasn't sure exactly how Terra felt about Morgan's current state of dress, and in fact Morgan hadn't even thought about that. The second, the claw scars across her chest and the circular scar around her left shoulder would now be on full display, especially this close to Terra. Neither of these things crossed her mind, however, as she waited for Terra's response to her question.*

Terra giggled when she thought about what she had said, realizing that getting splashed was very likely when one got into water. She was still fully dressed though and didn't really want to get wet, but again, she was in the water and getting wet was very, very likely. Still giggling, she shrugged. "Haha...well...that's a good question..." As Morgan waded towards her, Terra couldn't help but notice scars on the girl's body, on her chest and her shoulder, and she wondered what had happened to scar Morgan like that. She turned away from the girl after moment, realizing that she was staring at the scars. She wondered how Morgan didn't have any problems with both her scars and with being naked in front of someone like this. She had known Terra all of a few hours and yet seemed to have no qualms whatsoever about shedding her clothes.
"Um...s-sorry. I didn't mean to stare..." She blushed a little, hoping that she wasn't bringing unpleasant memories to the surface.

*As Terra admitted that Morgan's question was a "good question" while laughing, Morgan started to giggle a little as well. It was a little silly, but Morgan would be sure not to get Terra wet. ... too much. She was still in the water and Morgan still wanted to play if Terra was up for it, so Terra would definitely get wet if that was the case. But Morgan would make sure it was only a little bit.
But Terra suddenly turned away, blushing. Morgan frowned, tilting her head to the side again, about to ask what was wrong before Terra apologized for staring. Staring at what? Morgan looked down— right, her scars. She'd grown so used to them that she kept forgetting about them and that people might have reactions to them. Even if she'd already shown them to someone else the very same day. Looking up, Morgan smiled.* It's okay. I don't care if people see my scars or stare at them. I like them. It means I'm tough! *Morgan grinned and pounded a fist in the air. Well, her original reasoning was that it was a reminder how strong she was to survive such a terrible ordeal, but "tough" meant pretty much the same thing anyway. She giggled and lowered her hand, feeling Terra at least deserved an explanation.* I got them on Belkadan... a monster attacked me. I almost died, but I made it. *Morgan smiled again, sweetly this time, folding her hands behind her back. Was it a horrifying ordeal? Yes. Was she going to let it haunt her life? No. There was still much to love about life, and great things came of the attack as well; how could she be upset about that? The way Morgan saw it, she traded unblemished skin for amazing gifts; it seemed like a fair trade to her.*

Terra wondered what sort of monster would attack a child, but the way Morgan acted, she didn't seem at all bothered by it at all. In fact, she almost seemed proud of them. That was certainly unexpected from her, but it seemed that there was more to Morgan than first met the eye. Of course, Terra was no stranger to adversity herself, but that was a little different than what Morgan had been through. As far as scars went, Terra only had the one on her wrist where her slave chip had been, but that wasn't something she talked about for the most part and it wasn't really that noticeable most of the time. Unlike Morgan, Terra did not take pride in her scar, as it only reminded her of her dark childhood.
She shook off those thoughts and grinned at Morgan. "That's amazing, Morgan. You really are tough."

*Terra was finally looking back at her, and Morgan also grinned, feeling more comfortable now. In fact, she felt less comfortable when people tried to avoid looking at her, as though there was something wrong with her or she should be ashamed of something, like her scars. ... or the fact that she was naked. She frowned, mostly because she thought people who thought that were silly, but also out of curiosity.* Terra, does it bug you that I'm not wearing clothes? *Morgan much preferred being out of her clothing, but she also didn't want to offend anyone. Anyone with legitimate reasoning anyway; normally, she thought people who just plain disliked nudity for dumb reasons were, well, dumb. But if Terra had a problem with it... well, Morgan didn't have a bathing suit. She could just put her underwear on then or something. But Morgan would prefer that Terra didn't mind...*

Terra shrugged, having meant to ask why Morgan had just shed everything on the spot like that, but it seemed that she really didn't mind being naked in front of people. It wasn't that it bugged her, she just wasn't used to seeing it. Honestly, she found herself wishing she had Morgan's confidence and comfort in her own skin.
She shook her head. "Not really. I mean...if you're really comfortable with that." She smiled.

*Morgan watched Terra's reactions carefully. A shrug; a response that could either mean indifference or preparing to make a point. Maybe Terra did mind and was trying to find out how to say so delicately? Why was Morgan analyzing this so closely? Why was this a subject she cared so much about?
Then Terra shook her head, said it didn't "really" bother her, as long as Morgan was comfortable with it, and then smiled. Morgan beamed a bit triumphantly, but then drew back a little to a mere grin. Morgan was grateful for that, and even giggled as she replied.* Good, because I am! *She fell back into the water, perhaps lightly splashing Terra a little, and giggled again as she pushed backward and tread water.* I hate it when people tell me to wear clothes. Yeah, yeah, I know, I gotta wear them at the base and in public... but I still think it's silly. *Morgan wondered what Terra thought of that, if she agreed or disagreed. She supposed she couldn't convince them all, but hey, as long as Terra was fine with her skinny-dipping, Morgan was fine with Terra.*

Terra giggled a little and shielded her face with her arm when Morgan fell back, getting some water on Terra. Well so much for staying dry, but she should have expected to get wet if she was going to be in the water. Morgan didn't seem to like wearing clothes, that much was clear, but she hadn't really said why she preferred to be naked. Terra could understand not wanting to wear anything while swimming, as it kept clothes from getting wet(like hers now were), but to be naked all the time? Well maybe it was because she was shy that she didn't find the idea of being naked as appealing as Morgan did, but Morgan was also quite a bit younger and nowhere near as shy as Terra.
She smiled a little. "You'd prefer to be naked all the time? Wouldn't you get cold?"

*Oops, that was right, she wasn't going to try to get Terra wet, but she got a little anyway. Morgan frowned apologetically for a moment before smiling again. Terra was smiling anyway, then questioned whether Morgan would get cold if she was naked all the time. Morgan just giggled at her.* But it doesn't get cold here! But, fine, if it did get cold, I'd wear something. But only then! *Morgan held up a finger as though to emphasize the point, then giggled again and continued to tread water. She wasn't yet sure if this meant Terra either approved or was indifferent to Morgan's "preference," but maybe Terra had more to say, so Morgan waited.*

Terra giggled again, remembering that Felucia didn't get cold like it sometimes got on Corellia, and she shrugged. "Yeah. I forgot about that. It gets cold on Corellia sometimes." She smiled. "I don't mind if you're naked, Morgan. It's OK." It was fine since the girl was swimming and there was no one else around besides them and Morgan's two pets, so she saw little need to make a fuss over it. And it was obviously Morgan's preference to go naked anyway.

*When Terra shrugged and admitted she'd forgotten that Felucia didn't get cold like Corellia could, Morgan giggled. She could make an exception for cold places or cold weather, but otherwise, if she could get away with never wearing clothes again, she would.
Luckily, Terra revealed that she didn't mind that Morgan was naked, that it was okay. Morgan beamed at this, even giggled a little.* Thanks, Terra. *Morgan almost asked if Terra wished to join her, but figured that would be a little invasive. So she left it alone, paddling a little further out, before stopping and treading water again. She figured they ought to get to know each other a little better. Well, apart from this little conversation anyway, so Morgan turned around again.* So hey Terra... How old are you? *Hopefully Terra didn't think it was a rude question; for some reason, it seemed like some women hated being asked how old they were. Morgan didn't understand why, it was strange, but just in case, she decided to clear it up.* Not that I think you're old! I think you're young and pretty. I'm just curious is all.

Terra smiled when Morgan asked how old she was, and couldn't help but laugh at the girl's assurances that she didn't think that Terra was old. She shook her head quickly. "It's OK, Morgan. I'm only 19, so I know I'm not that old." She giggled again. "How old are you? If you don't mind my asking?" Morgan was a small child, but she sometimes showed maturity beyond her years, at least in the few hours she had known the girl, but if Terra had to guess, she would say that Morgan was no older than six or seven.
As she waited for Morgan's answer, she debated on heading back to shore and letting herself dry off a bit. She wasn't that wet, but the longer she stayed in the water, the higher the risk of getting soaked by something or someone.

*Morgan blushed a little when Terra laughed at her reassurances, feeling a bit embarrassed that she had fumbled that one. Terra revealed her age was 19, which made sense. She then asked how old Morgan was, and she straightened up a little. Inwardly, she thought Terra thought Morgan would have been much younger than she was, due to her age. Morgan still wasn't sure if she liked that or was annoyed by it, but still smiled.* I'm eight, but since I'm very little, people think I'm a lot younger. *Suddenly curious as to Terra's expectations, Morgan raised an eyebrow.* How old did you think I was?

Terra was surprised to say the least, having thought that she was as much as two years younger than that, though apparently Morgan got that a lot because she was so small. She shrugged when Morgan asked what Terra had thought and she hoped the girl wouldn't be offended by her answer. "Um...six or seven...I honestly thought you were younger." Morgan was quite full of surprises it seemed.
