Hanging up the keyboard

Evening friends.

Of all the things I have written on the many incarnations of JvS, surely this is one of the more difficult. I find myself in the crossroads, the hands of opportunity beckoning me towards a brave new future and unfortunately, it requires me to shed the fetters of my present.

I have been increasingly pulled away from here since I was laid off from my job in May, and that has been leading me down the path of a career change into accounting and to pursue a new job that uses the skills I picked up along the way while I simultaneously go back to school for another BA and then Masters so that I can follow this new dream.

But, it has shown me that there is no room in everything I have going on for JvS.

So it is with warm memories, love and friendship, that I must wish you all a fond farewell and depart the galaxy far, far away. I will try to bring some SL's to resolution if I can but I can't make promises to my activity.

I have made some wonderful friends and honed my hobby and shared my passion for SW with others. I'll cherish every up, down, triumphant victory, wretched loss, ooc bonding, and stubborn disagreement.

This wasn't a screen to me. You're all people behind those words. You mattered to me. And you made a difference to me in some of the darkest days of my life. I can never repay you for that.

So be good to each. Remember your friends, forgive everything, and celebrate the thing that unites us more than it divides us: the desire to burn JJ's house to the ground if 7 is full of lens flares.
